U.S. judge rules Missouri state gun law is unconstitutional

A Missouri state law that declared several federal gun laws “invalid” is unconstitutional, a U.S. federal judge ruled on Tuesday, handing the U.S. Justice Department a victory in its bid to get the law tossed out.

At issue was a measure Republican Governor Mike Parson signed into law in 2021 that declared that certain federal gun laws infringed on the rights of individuals to keep and bear arms under the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment.

U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes in Jefferson City, Missouri, said the state’s Second Amendment Preservation Act (SAPA) violates the U.S. Constitution’s Supremacy Clause, which holds that federal laws take priority over conflicting state laws.

Shift Change

Moral panics always fade. Manufactured crises always crack and collapse. Propaganda always has a “sell by” date, and then it turns rancid. The effect is comparable to what Warren Buffett says about a recession: When the tide goes out, you can see who’s been swimming naked.

This is where we are with the January 6 narrative, as the most horrible attack on Our Democracy™ since the Civil War collides with the image of a dork in Viking horns calmly wandering the hallways with a police escort. The political class is taking it well.

The Overdrive Timeline

When did a noticeable change occur—a change of pace? When did we go into overdrive?

I believe it occurred on 1/7/23, the day McCarthy was voted House Speaker and made his concessions to the House Freedom Caucus in order to get elected. From that day forward, everything changed. I believe this was the day the Deep State Cabal was both spayed and neutered.

Notice I didn’t just say the change occurred when McCarthy was elected House Speaker; this was inevitable when the Republicans took the House in November. Most understood McCarthy would likely become Speaker of the House. The change occurred when McCarthy made his concessions and showed he was going to “play ball”, and that he wouldn’t get in the way of Trump’s agenda.

On Saturday 1/7/23, McCarthy agreed to the concessions and was chosen Speaker of the House on the 15th round of voting.

JEREMIAH 17:5-10

5Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, whose heart turns away from the LORD. 6He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. 7“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. 8He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” 9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately corrupt; who can understand it? 10“I the LORD search the mind and try the heart, to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.”

Our Take: “They lied. Again. For two years, all we have received are edited and chopped videos which served the purpose of setting a narrative against Trump and his supporters.

There was no insurrection, as the videos shown by Tucker Carlson demonstrate.

There was, however, one of the largest psyops ever run against the American people, and their sitting President in history. As more videos are released, I am almost certain the J6 narrative will continue to crumble and the truth will come to light.” — AbsoluteTruth1776

And who are, according to the three Republicans who received the initial pitch, among the ranks in DeSantis’ digital army?

Jack Murphy, a podcast host and self-described “alpha-male giga chad” involved in a quasi-professional cuckolding porn scandal. John Cardillo, a former Newsmax TV host and unregistered arms dealer who allegedly stiffed the Ukrainian government for $200,000 worth of body armor plates. Christian Walker, Herschel Walker’s right-wing influencer son who helped tank his father’s Senate campaign. David Reaboi, a Hungary-loving and Qatar-hating bodybuilder with longstanding ties to John Bolton. And Caleb Hull, an ex-Trump digital strategist who has said some very, very racist things.

This is the DeSantis A-team, and they’re fighting a battle for a presidential campaign that hasn’t even started yet—with plenty of DeSantis face time, dinners, and photo ops.

MATTHEW 20:17-28

17And as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside, and on the way he said to them, 18“Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, 19and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.” 20Then the mother of the sons of Zeb’edee came up to him, with her sons, and kneeling before him she asked him for something. 21And he said to her, “What do you want?” She said to him, “Command that these two sons of mine may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your kingdom.” 22But Jesus answered, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I am to drink?” They said to him, “We are able.” 23He said to them, “You will drink my cup, but to sit at my right hand and at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by my Father.” 24And when the ten heard it, they were indignant at the two brothers. 25But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 26It shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 27and whoever would be first among you must be your slave; 28even as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Dear KAG: 20230307 Are We There Yet? Open Thread

Cover image: Wild Flowers by Rebecca Flott

We begin today with a review of the beginning of last week’s daily:

ARE WE THERE YET?

Have we arrived at the Great Awakening? Clif High offered an opinion last week:

THE FLIP is NEAR!

Have you felt it? Are your spidey senses tingling yet?

Look around you, now. Are your co-workers nervous? Anxious? Are they talking about #5GUW yet?

The reason is the FLIP into the PEAK of THE BIG UGLY!

The BIG UGLY is a time of the upending, and overturning of the giant iceberg of public opinion as the 5GUW (5th Generation (global) Unrestricted War) emerges into public discussion.

The BIG UGLY is a time of ‘collective expression of knowledge’, that will produce an ‘upending of the social order’. The ‘upending’ will be spectacularly fast. It will scare the piss right out of you it will be so quickly consuming of YOUR social circle.

Don’t trust what I am writing here? Sure, that’s understandable…I am just some nutty techie guy with a high school education & a twisted mind who was into crypto before BTC was even 1 CENT.

BUT, I could be wrong, after all, I have been forecasting this period since last July.

Are we there yet? Let’s take a look at what I found published and where and then ask that question again:

Mark Levin? Really? He’s calling out the elites and their lies. The media got it too.

Disinformation and the Wuhan Lab Leak Thesis

It has been a bad week for patronizing crusaders who seek to bar controversial speech on the grounds of “disinformation.” On February 26, the Wall Street Journal broke a story regarding a classified Department of Energy report that the Covid-19 virus most likely originated with a leak from China’s Wuhan lab. FBI Director Christopher Wray echoed the DOE’s conclusion in a February 28 interview with Fox News. Such developments should be a monumental embarrassment to numerous figures in both government and the establishment news media who worked diligently in 2020-2021 to block accounts that endorsed—or even favorably considered—the lab-leak thesis.

The new bombshell revelations will likely create turbulence in multiple respects. It will exacerbate already contentious relations between the United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). Xi Jinping’s government made every effort to prevent an independent investigation of Covid’s onset, and PRC officials were aided by Western medical bureaucrats who insisted that it was virtually certain the virus came from nature. The already tattered reputations of those bureaucrats have taken a new hit and may now be damaged beyond repair. That is especially true for Anthony Fauci, who was director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) during the Covid pandemic and was the principal spokesperson for U.S. government policies.

DHS has a program gathering domestic intelligence — and virtually no one knows about it

That piece is from POLITICO. POLITICO which apologizes for deep state shenanigans all the time. This is BIG.

And then there was Twitter:

Okay, this was not on a mainstream network, but it’s important:

The pieces are being put together by normies, not just anons and autists. This is a VERY positive development. So, are we there yet? Stay tuned. This is going to be a long turn.

Remember, Fauci is just one of many. The unspoken “pandemic industrial complex” employs legions of individuals from many different industries and nations; not all of them aware of what they were participating in.

Of course, Fauci certainly played an important role, as did Bill Gates, Tedros Ghebreyesus, Peter Daszak, Shi Zhengli, Rochelle Walensky, Albert Bourla, and many, many others. Going after Fauci is a fine place to start, so long as he doesn’t become the sacrificial lamb to placate the masses while the monster he helped to create continues on, unabated.

MATTHEW 23:1-12

1Then said Jesus to the crowds and to his disciples, 2“The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; 3so practice and observe whatever they tell you, but not what they do; for they preach, but do not practice. 4They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger. 5They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, 6and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues, 7and salutations in the market places, and being called rabbi by men. 8But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. 9And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10Neither be called masters, for you have one master, the Christ. 11He who is greatest among you shall be your servant; 12whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Back In My Day: Civilized War – Banks Are Like Carter’s Little Liver Pills

There’s an old expression that when things proliferate beyond reason that they are like Carter’s Little Liver Pills. Carter’s had an infinite number of little pills that would cure what ails ya…

Here they are 80+ years after cranking up, while still selling the same schtick.

Which leads to the following short summary history for those unacquainted with Carter’s.

https://www.southernliving.com/culture/carters-little-liver-pills

The company’s marketing was off the charts great. That many of us still remember them, their slogans, and commercials is a testament to the promotional brilliance.

It was not their only product, however, it was the primary product line of a plain old laxative to make you poop.

Banks Are Like Commodities (and Laxatives)

Sort of like the standard active ingredients in stimulant laxatives, such as Biscodynl (Carter’s) or Senna, it is difficult to discern many differences in commercial banks. They have a perception of added value, much of the time the customer cannot determine why one might suit their needs better than another, and they can make you feel like you have the runs.

In total there are over 4800 federally insured banks. In the mid 1980s the number was 10,000+ higher. So, there has been a steady decline since that point. Why? The federal government and greed of bankers has taken over. Various regulatory and tax acts have made it difficult for smaller banks to survive as well due to government (i.e. politicians) creating financial meltdowns (bubbles and busts) of various segments of the economy. Add in the profit (greed) motive of starting a bank, growing it and then selling out to a larger bank who wants the market presence.

For example, the second largest bank in the nation in asset size is Bank of America at $2.4 trillion. They have 6,314 locations in 38 states and 2005 cities. The vast majority of banks are minuscule in locational presence compared to B of A. However, most all have branch networks to increase access to customers. The global number for bank locations in America is approximately 77,000 in over 9,900 cities. This number of physical locations is not expected to grow significantly due to online banking. However, the number of chartered banks is expected to continue to decline as smaller institutions are acquired or closed by regulators. Why? Same reasons as above; the federal government and greed of bankers takes over. The politicians love to be in the pockets of big banks, so they pass regulations to make it more difficult and costly for small banks to comply. That reduces competition and innovation at the local level. Which turns urban as well as community banks into commodities.

Even with this happening, there are still more locations and methods to deal with banks than Carter’s have little liver pills. The next topic goes into the large presence of credit unions.

Community Banking Evolution

As I was entering the banking industry after graduating from college I was taught one important fact of that time. To the average customer, the teller was the bank. Of course that was nearly 50 years ago and banks were slow on the innovation side and highly regulated and controlled. The vast majority of customers never dealt with anybody else, and when they did it was the teller who directed them to the person(s) who could handle their other needs. So, who do you think were the lowest paid staff in the bank? Yep – the tellers. 🤪 The face of the bank that average customers trusted most were some of the least valued by management and ownership.

Times have changed and with it the relationship aspect of banking. Yes, relationships are still important in rural market community banks and flyover states. However, even in those markets it is becoming a thing to bank electronically and only use local banks for cash, demand deposit accounts, small business services and safe deposit boxes. Mortgages for homes can even be done online now with the better rates and terms coming from mortgage companies dedicated to the purpose. Vehicle loans are generally done through dealership provided indirect financing and credit unions. Credit card applications are everywhere online and in the mail box. Other small loan options are abundant with finance companies for less credit worthy small loan applicants.

Credit unions grew rapidly during the downtrend of community banks. As their regulators agreed to liberalized rules for joining, more and more retail consumer based accounts moved to them as well as small business checking and savings accounts. They returned the relationship aspect of banking of the past and filled the void left by banking industry consolidation. There are currently over 4800 credit unions with 20,000 locations nationwide. They are not involved in commercial lending by regulation. They are regulated by the NCUA and accounts are federally insured in a similar manner as with banks and the FDIC. However, their numbers reduced by around 2500 in the past decade as the economy worsened, cryptocurrency arrived and the regulators tightened down on their practices and capital adequacy.

In reality, nothing has materially changed for customers and members with banking and credit union services in terms of access. It just shifted around changing its shape like an Amoeba, or maybe like a Coronavirus. Where it changed most was within the industry. The one size fits all as well as being all things to all people approaches – died.

The first and overriding principle to understand is that bankers use OPM (Other People’s Money) to make money for themselves and stockholders. To protect OPM (customers), banks are regulated in the manner in which they may invest the OPM. But, who controls the regulators? Ultimately it is politicians in Congress and the administration of the POTUS. Who do they work with to produce the results they seek? The federal government’s privately owned agent – the Federal Reserve.

Enlightening isn’t it? Once again, if you have not read this article by Badlands Media contributor, American Hypnotist, now would be a good time to do so.

https://badlands.substack.com/p/do-we-have-a-contract-with-the-federal?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=1135129&post_id=105437643&isFreemail=true&utm_medium=email

With these trends in mind that extended back in my day to the 20-25 years ago timeframe we find ourselves in this story; it finally became increasingly clear to me that to succeed and help customers meet their goals using my abilities and experience, I needed to focus on transactions as compared to relationships. The world was changing and people were becoming more selective as they learned how it all worked. Competition had increased the options they had available. In addition the politicians and federal bureaucracy were beginning to exert more control and influence with the ability to accelerate or throttle lines of business as well as entire industries and segments of the economy in the blink of an eye. As they did so they strongly impacted all aspects of society. Instead of working for We the People, they were openly working for themselves and their cronies. The rest of us were left with the scraps unless we could work harder and smarter than them.

I realized then that when the Lord saved me from my mistakes and sins, He opened the door to a career that fit the trends and my abilities exactly. I just needed to pay attention. His ways and timing are always better. Always.

Imperial

All I can say is if that bank had chosen to stay the course and keep doing what they were doing back in my day, I would have chosen to work there until retirement if that is what the Lord had in store for me. Everything was done win-win. The attitude was to develop and execute your plans, here are the tools. They had the deceased NFL owner Al Davis’ of the Oakland Raiders mantra, “Just win, baby.” The lines of business that won and were more profitable received even more access to capital and tools to grow. Let’s see, where have I read or heard about that approach before? Oh yeah, Matthew 25:14-30 and The Parable of the Talents.

They were not saints to work for, however, they employed the principles of the parable. It was a great place to work, no micromanaging headaches. In general they treated their people well and with respect. You felt valued and appreciated. They were not legalistic. They recognized personal and family needs at times would take precedence. They just asked that you do well at your work and be profitable for the business. Just meet or exceed expectations and all would be fine.

As a result, we were able to build a strong eastern U. S. region credit administration support staff to go with eight experienced production officers. We had become active in all 50 states as a division. Our regional operation would be the core group that stayed together for the next decade. They were the foundation. We all helped grow the Imperial operation toward the Top Ten nationally in loan volume with a plan in place to be #1.

And then one day a couple of years into it, they announced they were selling to a big top twenty in assets bank out of Detroit, Comerica. We were not surprised, but had hoped for a longer run with Imperial. My CEO called and asked me to head to Cali for transition team meetings. It would be him, our division SCO and me working with Comerica’s team with similar roles represented on their side. Our operation was twice as large in scope and annual loan closings. Yet, during the process we learned that they would get the senior leadership roles. To the victor went the spoils. Not very wise on their part, so, oh well…

Here we go again.

The CEO of Comerica’s small business division was a middle aged woman who was a former elementary school teacher for much of her work life. She was based at their regional bank headquarters in San Francisco. Their national sales manager was a leftover from their acquisition of a Dallas based bank previous to ours. Their SCO was a doofus, but located in San Francisco with the schoolmarm wannabe. He was her beta lackey.

At this point my CEO was considered “the” go to expert nationally in the business. Our operation was fine tuned and highly profitable. Theirs was better than BOW, but not nearly on our level. I could tell our CEO was probably not going to be willing to report to schoolmarm, but once again we would have to play along until something better developed.

The transition meetings were filled with some of the silliest school teacher type attempts at bonding I have ever witnessed participation by adults. Absurd. She was also quick to tell the story of how she got into banking by being the teacher of a Comerica bank exec’s child. It was intended to demonstrate how “in” she was with the org. She obviously had no idea she was a minnow in the industry who was swimming with sharks. None of us commented. Didn’t care. Moving right along.

She finally gave up attempting to school her kids and let the rest of us actually do the transition work. I kept my cool, but stayed detached from her attempts to bond. When I returned, I informed my SCO and told him he was next up for credit meetings in Detroit.

Upon my SCO’s return, his first words to me were that they were not a fit at all. He felt he had wasted his time. We learned once again, just like BOW, that the acquisition was about increasing their California banking presence and using our programs to appease politicians and regulators in the the states where they had a presence. Imperial had a strongly profitable division involved in venture capital start-ups in the tech and medical research industries that held an attraction as well.

Our division CEO told me he was already in discussions with three other options. He would keep me informed and to just keep working. To Comerica’s credit, unlike BOW, they did not overstep their authority as it applied to our pipeline of loans being approved or in processing to close in Imperial’s system. Their acquisition of our bank would not close for another 6 months, so we were to continue to operate as is for the time being.

Which was all the time we needed.

Temecula Bound

The winner of the now recurring bank flavor of the month was a small, five year old national bank in Temcula, CA. Since we acted like the wild, wild west in our industry, we might as well join a bank in the old west.

The Chairman/CEO was a highly experienced banker who had been the CEO of another area bank for many years. He had left to start our future employer, Temecula Valley Bank. As the largest stockholder of a publicly traded bank with majority control by a consortium of area stockholder friends and a handpicked Board, he was free to steer the bank into the lines of business for which he had expertise. One of those lines was ours. He understood everything we did as his former bank was a major player with it in CA. A unique opportunity was provided, which included granting stock options to key senior officers in our division. We knew we could manage the balance sheet of the bank with all of the planned growth. Building a deposit base would not be a problem in this high growth area of the country and with the Chairman/CEO’s connections.

The stock options pushed it over the finish line. Our division would be a major driver of profitability, which would enhance stock prices. The Chairman/CEO was wanting to emphasize construction and development financing in single family homes in hot SoCal markets. In so doing it would grow the name and provide places for future branches. The plan was also to be added to the NASDAQ to attract additional capital in the future.

Having significant stock options was a really nice benefit. My role and compensation package were essentially the same – build the eastern U. S. presence. Just keep doing what we do.

Parting Is Unsweet Sorrow

Meanwhile back at Comerica, our new schoolmarm wannabe CEO was making the rounds of her expanded playground. She was trying to build a relationship with us and other regions of our division. You could tell her spidey senses were telling her it was all about to fall apart. After our CEO left to go to Temecula, she and her sales manager were calling me and visiting routinely. During one such visit at one point she ridiculed southern women and the Bible Belt in an informal conversation after lunch. I responded, “Yeah, we all talk slow because we think slow. Jesus understands.” She then apologized profusely and said it was a poor attempt at humor. Nah, she meant what she said. She also knew she stepped in it with me. Later in a phone call she tried dangling a high salaried compensation package to get me to stay, but the inability to keep and attract production officers with the credit constraints and big bank attitudes would eventually kill the operation. So I declined citing the ground floor stock option opportunity at TVB. She attempted to deride that as well, which was about as dumb as it gets. Yeah, be sure and deride the analysis of the senior manager you are trying to retain and just formally offered to highly compensate. Jeez…

Now you know why I cannot stand Nancy Pelosi even without regard to her politics. Schoolmarm and her came from the same mold.

I began working out my notice. After I left, our staff of a dozen employees began leaving one at a time to join me in our new offices a half dozen blocks away. Over about four months they transitioned in until the last one turned out the lights on the Comerica operation for good in TN and the eastern U. S.

More Banking Wars Drama

For the first time in our years of working together, I witnessed my division CEO friend being fooled by his new boss, the Chairman/CEO of Temecula. The old guy pulled off a bait and switch on us. He promised one set of credit policy and parameters pre-employment that he had no intention of delivering. He made it worse on our region by only having our one SCO on the newly formed three person credit committee for the division. That meant that any loan request over $500 K that was real estate secured or $250 K for non-real estate secured must be approved by the committee. This was half the amount of my SCO’s approval authority at Imperial, which was an agreed condition for our joining them. Since the other credit committee members knew nothing about business loans in the eastern U. S., we were placed in an awkward position with our referral sources and customers. The main office could and did begin throttling our volume, making it difficult to get deals done that were never a problem in the past. Our loan collection and default rates had been historically good and well below government agency averages. There was no justification for the tail wagging the dog other than unjustified fear or big egos or both.

I figured it out quickly, especially when our production officers started screaming at us. We had hired the five best from Imperial/Comerica in our region and at this point had added another four. Business was growing and this was throwing a wrench into the machine at exactly the wrong time. It was time to take a stand with my CEO and the bank Chairman/CEO as our eastern U. S. operation had been noticed by other potential employers based on the calls from recruiters.

We had options and did not have to work for con artists.

So I fired off a memo to both that include the “bait and switch” observation. To say the Chairman/CEO got his panties in a wad would be an understatement. My division CEO was placed in an uncomfortable position, which I considered before doing it. However, he was the one who had chosen this employer and was being paid the big bucks. To his credit, he stuck by me and told the Chairman/CEO that if I was terminated, he would also leave. He told the guy that we had other options than working for them, which was true.

Power base established.

The bank’s execs and Board got their heads together and suddenly decided they could modify credit parameters and give my SCO increased authority, doubling the previous levels to what he had at Imperial. This gave the production officers what was necessary to retain them and also incentivized them to prospect for more real estate secured loans that were obviously preferred by the Chairman/CEO and Board. Things settled in and we began doing what we did.

Occasionally we would be brought out to Cali for division meetings with the Chairman/CEO and his execs. The visits were cordial, we were making them good money and the move to the NASDAQ was completed. The last time my SCO and I went, they elected to have it at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. Having meetings previously in Reno with SierraWest brought back memories of that type of environment.

Such a sad environment in Reno during those days in my opinion. Anybody who knows or frequented the mall type enclosed casino district downtown back then understands. It never shut down, at 5 AM it was like 10 PM. No clocks, no sunlight, and very few smiling faces as people sat with drinks in hand at the tables or slot machines to toss in their money on games of chance. This time we would be in the real deal of glitzy Vegas, not the Reno wannabe, and I had been there before with my ex back in the late 1970s. I knew what to expect and I had changed greatly since those days. I just wished this guy was still alive and performing there.

Yep, had to…

Even in my more rogue days I was never a gambler. For me, life is too big of gamble as it is, much less risk what was so hard to gain. Regardless, I never condemned anybody else for their choices and that included TVB’s choice of venue for the meeting. However, I was not going to change me either. So while the others began eating, drinking and talking; my SCO and I prayed silent prayers of thanks before beginning our meals. At first the others were puzzled, but as the days rolled on they became quieter and even respectful. Our evenings were spent back in our rooms with work and calling home, not out carousing and gambling with the rest of them.

However, one evening the Chairman had all of us head out to one of the popular, high end area steakhouses, Smith and Wollensky, frequented by some of the rich and famous. As we dined we looked across the room and there was this guy.

Coach K – Hall of Fame head coach of Duke

He was very gracious and spoke briefly to many of us in the restaurant. Folks were reasonably respectful and after quick visits everybody left him alone to enjoy his meal with his companions.

After our return and over time the bank’s execs had begun using our divisional profitability to expand into their desired financing of homes in SoCal as well as adding branches. Over time we began noting slower coordination of funding our closings as well as a subtle tightening of credit approvals on larger projects. It was something I needed to keep my eye on. It was an indication that the bank’s liquidity was drying up from over expansion into SoCal real estate financing.

Conclusion

We had no idea in our region’s offices that our careers were getting ready to dramatically change in a surprising way. We will dive into that next time. Until then be well and be blessed.

WHEATIE – OUR WARRIOR ANGEL

by Duchess01

Please forgive us, Wheatie, we did not know
That you had left us with armor in tow
We had no idea with what you dealt
We did not know the pain you felt
And now we can only imagine
With you what really did happen
Cause rarely did you complain
And/or share your personal pain
Of one thing we are most certain
You are flying high behind the curtain
Watching over us above the crowds
Our Warrior Angel above the clouds
Thank You, Wheatie, for caring for us
While you were here among the fuss
We miss you dear you have no idea
Since time began in the pangaea
With you there was no time
In your wisdom you would chime
To clarify and magnify
The what where how and why
We did not question when you left
We were not slightly bereft
But over time we wondered why
You did not at least stop by
Now we know where you have gone
With the break of this new dawn
We could be angry but are not
Tho with an arrow we’ve been shot
Rest peacefully Warrior Angel dear
Send us a sign that you are near
A butterfly a flower a kiss of rain
From your love do not refrain
God sends Angels to watch over us
And now we have an Angel Plus
A Warrior Angel of Magnificence
From today and forward hence

The Rules

TL;DR –

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Boilerplate, more or less, but worth reading again and again, if only for the minor changes, and to stay out of moderation.

MINOR CHANGE NUMBER 1

Never talk about committing violence in a reply to Wolf or in response to anything Wolf has said, or you may get put into moderation so that your comments can be screened. This is ONLY because DHS is now playing door-knock Gestapo with people who have spoken at school board meetings, made public comments, etc. DHS regime jackboots are knocking on doors of school board mama bears and stupidly insinuating potential violence from things people say or don’t say on social media. A guy in Ohio pointed his FINGER at the school board, and they went after him, armed with pictures of the pointing, and screen captures of online comments. Yeah.

SO – give the Nazis ZERO ammo. Keep any mention of violence, even joking, away from Wolf, so that he doesn’t have to “explain” humor to humorless jackboots who pretend not to know things.

As for discussion of “violent humor” among yourselves (e.g., “#TeamHeadsOnPikes”), just use whatever discretion you think is appropriate for yourselves. I will only put you in moderation if your comments create problems for ME or THIS SITE, but not if they only impact you.

YOU are responsible for your own comments, if they come knocking. YOUR choice. Just remember this…..

OTHER THAN THAT…….

The bottom line is Free Speech. Theories and ideas you don’t agree with must be WELCOME here, and you must be part of that welcoming. But you do NOT need to be part of any agreement.

Bottom line – respect other people’s FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS.

Our only additional requirement is that you do so NICELY. Or at least try to make some effort in that direction.

SO….. [ENGAGE BOILERPLATE…..]

We must endeavor to persevere to love our frenemies – even here.

Those who cannot deal with this easy requirement will be forced to jump the hoops of moderation, so that specific comments impugning other posters and violating the minimal rules can be sorted out and tossed in the trash.

In Wheatie’s words, “We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

That includes the life skill of just ignoring certain other posters.

We do have a site – The U Tree – where civility is not a requirement. Interestingly, people don’t really go there much. Nevertheless, if you find yourself in an “argument” that can’t really stay civil, please feel free to “take it to the U Tree”. The U Tree is also a good place to report any technical difficulties, if you’re unable to report them here. Please post your comment there on one of Wolf’s posts, or in reply to one of Wolf’s comments, to make sure he sees it (though it may take a few hours).

We also have a backup site, called The Q Tree as well, which is really The Q Tree 579486807. You might call it “Second Tree”. The URL for that site is https://theqtree579486807.wordpress.com/. If this site (theqtree.com) ever goes down, please reassemble at the Second Tree.

If the Second Tree goes down, please go to The U Tree, or to our Gab Group, which is located at https://gab.com/groups/4178.

We also have some “old rules” and important guidelines, outlined here, in a very early post, on our first New Year’s Day, in 2019. The main point is not to make violent threats against people, which then have to be taken seriously by law enforcement, and which can be used as a PRETEXT by enemies of this site.

In the words of Wheatie, “Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

A Moment of Prayer

Our policy on extreme religious freedom on this site is discussed HERE. Please feel free to pray and praise God anytime and anywhere.

Thus, please pray for our real President, the one who actually won the election.

You may also pray for our nation, our world, and even our enemies.

Musical Interlude

In honor of dear Wheatie, we now present some music to soothe, inspire, invigorate, or relax.

Here are three “placeholder” videos, selected from old Wheatie posts.

Call To Battle

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” (Luke10:27; Mark 12:30; Matthew 22:37). Repeatedly throughout the Bible, God commands His people to love Him with all their hearts and serve Him alone (Deuteronomy 6:5; 11:1; Joshua 23:11). But can love be commanded? How can we make ourselves love someone?

Since love is commanded, then it must be within our power, in Christ, to love. Love, therefore, is a decision we make. Yes, love will often be accompanied by feelings, but emotion is not the basis of love. In any given situation, we can choose to love, regardless of how we feel.

The Greek word for “love” used in reference to God is agápē, which means “benevolence, delight, preference, or good will.” This is the kind of love God has for us (Zephaniah 3:17; John 3:16). First John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us.” Since God is love and we are created in His image, we can love as He does (1 John 4:16). He has placed His capacity to love within our hearts. He then teaches us how to love by demonstrating what real love looks like (John 15:13).

Loving God begins with a decision. It is a purposeful setting of our affections (Colossians 3:2). We cannot truly love God until we know Him. Even the faith to believe in God is a gift from Him (Ephesians 2:8–9). When we accept His gift of eternal life through Christ, God gives us His Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13; 1 Corinthians 6:19). The Spirit of God dwelling within a believing heart begins to produce the traits of God, the first of which is love (Galatians 5:22). God Himself enables us to love Him as He deserves to be loved (1 John 4:7).

As we grow in knowledge and understanding of who God is, we begin to love the characteristics that define Him, such as wisdom, truth, righteousness, and purity (Psalm 11:7; 90:12; Hebrews 1:9; 1 Timothy 6:11). And we begin to find the opposite of those traits repulsive (Proverbs 8:13; Psalm 97:10). Spending time with God causes our hearts to hunger for holiness, and we find satisfaction only in more of Him, because He is the perfect embodiment of everything we long for. Learning to worship Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24) allows us to experience the pleasurable emotions of love. Emotion does not create love, but, when we choose to love, the emotion comes. A. W. Tozer said, “Flowers and bird songs do not make spring; but when spring comes, they come with it.”

One obstacle to loving God is love of this world’s sinful ways. We cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24), and neither can we love God and the world at the same time. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them” (1 John 2:15). Many believers today need to heed the word given to the Ephesian church: “You have forsaken the love you had at first” (Revelation 2:4). The call is for a conscious returning of the affections to God alone.

Another obstacle to loving God is the mind. Our minds continually set themselves up against the knowledge of God and challenge the faith that has made its home within our spirits (2 Corinthians 10:5). Doubt, anger, misunderstanding, and false doctrine can all rob us of life’s highest pleasure, intimacy with God (Philippians 3:8). These obstacles can be overcome through repentance and a determination to seek God above all else (Matthew 6:33; Jeremiah 29:13). In order to truly love God, we must stop insisting that God explain Himself to our satisfaction. We have to crucify our pride and our right to approve of His ways and allow Him to be God in our lives. When we humbly recognize that He alone is worthy of our love and worship, we can abandon ourselves to loving Him for who He is.

The essence of what it means to love God is to be satisfied in Him. In Him — in God Himself, as the glorious Person that He is — admiring and enjoying all He is, and giving Him our worship and praise. And it is this enjoyment of God that makes all of our other responses truly glorifying to Him, including thanking Him for all His gifts, blessings, mercy and grace, believing His Word, and obeying His commands.

We need to have an authentic love for God that starts with God-oriented affections, desires, and thoughts, that permeates our speaking and behavior, and then influences the way we spend our money and how we dress, and drive, and our forms of entertainment. Whether we’re eating or singing, jogging or blogging, texting or drawing, love for Yahweh — the one true triune God — is to be in action and seen.

2023·03·04 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

Language Warning

In the next piece I had to discuss a particular topic. Unfortunately, I couldn’t discuss it without naming it. Therefore I apologize in advance for having to do so, and apologize to anyone offended by the sight of the name.

RINO McDaniel

As you no doubt know, RINO McDaniel got re-elected to RNC Chair Friday. I hope no one has already managed in the intervening time to suppress that memory; if so I apologize for the PTSD trigger.

RINO McDaniel isn’t the problem.

Let me be crystal clear on this, RINO McDaniel is a lower-than-whale-shit, piss guzzling ratfucking shit eating traitorous rancid syphillitic cunt. Her worth as a human being is substantially less than zero, any oxygen sucked into her lungs is wasted, and it would be, no matter what job she had.

I fear I haven’t been clear enough, but that will have to suffice.

But she is not the problem…or rather, she would not be a problem were it not for others. She’d still be as I have described, but we wouldn’t know who she is and would not care, because she could do no damage. She’d just be anonymous human refuse.

No, the real problem is the fact that a majority of the 168 top GOP people voted for her. And now that has happened five times so they cannot claim they didn’t know what she was.

In spite of the fact that under her “leadership” the party has deliberately sabotaged the will of its base, has deliberately refused to challenge blatant election fraud, had gone out of its way to ensure certain candidates do not get nominated, has diverted donor money to namby-pamby candidates who have all the electoral appeal of a puddle of dog vomit…and in general has done nothing whatsoever to help fix the problems that plague America.

However that last is to be expected; I cannot expect anyone who IS the problem to help FIX the problem.

RINO McDaniel would be powerless without an entire party leadership of the same mind as her. They want this dismal performance; they want to ignore the party base.

If she were to drop dead this instant, it would solve nothing as someone just like her would be elected by those same pustulous people.

According to Charlie Kirk, about 55 people voted against her, 10-12 wanted something different but were too chickenshit to do the right thing, and roughly 100 people voted for her enthusiastically, and even had the unmitigated gall to complain to Kirk about US. Fuck ’em. Rusty 12 gauge bore brushes would be too good for these arrogant pricks and cunts.

Every single one of those hundred is just as bad as she is. In other words, they are all worse than I described at the beginning of this piece. And no doubt those people in turn have people who supported them to be state party chairs and whateveritis they call the other two people from each state and territory who were voting.

It’s time to face up to the fact that the Republican party is effectively owned by the shit-eating RINOs. We’ve got more work to do, a lot more work, to make the GOP an instrument for the restoration of the United States of America. And that’s in addition to cleaning up our elections.

There’s no point in cleaning up elections just to elect ratfucking RINOs.

OK, hopefully now you will have some inkling of my true attitude towards RINOs. Sorry that words were inadequate to give you the full picture.

The Real Fascist is His Fraudulency Joe Biden*

*Or whoever has his hand rammed up that meat puppet’s ass.

Brandon (which I will use as a term for whoever is the power behind the Porcelain Throne) has thrown down the gauntlet…but in a way where most of America will never see it. The networks didn’t carry his tirade. CNN air brushed it (or whatever you call editing the red background) for its five viewers (who aren’t trapped in airports).

Luckily for me I live in Colorado, and therefore, despite my best efforts, I probably didn’t vote for Donald Trump.

Of course, for this purpose who I actually did try to vote for will be essential, and they undoubtedly know.

Come and get us, asswipes!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h6ZZ28QtX4

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Small Government?

Many times conservatives (real and fake) speak of “small government” being the goal.

This sounds good, and mostly is good, but it misses the essential point. The important thing here isn’t the size, but rather the purpose, of government. We could have a cheap, small tyranny. After all our government spends most of its revenue on payments to individuals and foreign aid, neither of which is part of the tyrannical apparatus trying to keep us locked down and censored. What parts of the government would be necessary for a tyranny? It’d be a lot smaller than what we have now. We could shrink the government and nevertheless find it more tyrannical than it is today.

No, what we want is a limited government, limited not in size, but rather in scope. Limited, that is, in what it’s allowed to do. Under current circumstances, such a government would also be much smaller, but that’s a side effect. If we were in a World War II sort of war, an existential fight against nasty dictatorships on the brink of world conquest, that would be very expensive and would require a gargantuan government, but that would be what the government should be doing. That would be a large, but still limited government, since it’d be working to protect our rights.

World War II would have been the wrong time to squawk about “small government,” but it wasn’t (and never is) a bad time to demand limited government. Today would be a better time to ask for a small government–at least the job it should be doing is small today–but it misses the essential point; we want government to not do certain things. Many of those things we don’t want it doing are expensive but many of them are quite eminently doable by a smaller government than the one we have today. Small, but still exceeding proper limits.

So be careful what you ask for. You might get it and find you asked for the wrong thing.

Political Science In Summation

It’s really just a matter of people who can’t be happy unless they control others…versus those who want to be left alone. The oldest conflict within mankind. Government is necessary, but government attracts the assholes (a highly technical term for the control freaks).

A Few Things We Cannot Blame on His Fraudulency

I am pretty sure Joe Biden had nothing whatsoever to do with the 30 Years War that ran from 1618-1648 and probably killed about a third of the people then living in what is now Germany.

Nor did he cause the collapse of either Roman empire (Western, 476 CE, Eastern 1453 CE). Nor the ignominious failure of most of the Crusades. Nor the collapse of Bronze Age civilization around 1200 BCE (including the collapse of the Minoans and the blowup of Santorini).

However, my utter lack of ability to imagine how he could possibly be responsible for these things is not a valid argument against them, so I await correction if appropriate.

His Truth?

Again we saw an instance of “It might be true for Billy, but it’s not true for Bob” logic this week.

I hear this often, and it’s usually harmless. As when it’s describing differing circumstances, not different facts. “Housing is unaffordable” can be true for one person, but not for another who makes ten times as much.

But sometimes the speaker means it literally. Something like 2+2=4 is asserted to be true for Billy but not for Bob. (And when it’s literal, it’s usually Bob saying it.) And in that sense, it’s nonsense, dangerous nonsense. There is ONE reality, and it exists independent of our desires and our perceptions. It would go on existing if we weren’t here. We exist in it. It does not exist in our heads. It’s not a personal construct, and it isn’t a social construct. If there were no society, reality would continue to be what it is, it wouldn’t vanish…which it would have to do, if it were a social construct.

Now what can change from person to person is the perception of reality. We see that all the time. And people will, of course, act on those perceptions. They will vote for Trump (or try to) if their perception is close to mine, and vote against Trump (and certainly succeed at doing so) if their perception is distant from mine (and therefore, if I do say so, wrong). I have heard people say “perception is reality” and usually, that’s what they’re trying to say–your perception of reality is, as far as you know, an accurate representation of reality, or you’d change it.

But I really wish they’d say it differently. And sometimes, to get back to Billy and Bob, the person who says they have different truths is really saying they have different perceptions of reality–different worldviews. I can’t argue with the latter. But I sure wish they’d say it better. That way I’d know that someone who blabbers about two different truths is delusional and not worth my time, at least not until he passes kindergarten-level metaphysics on his umpteenth attempt.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

(Hmm a few extras seem to have crept in.)

(Paper) Spot Prices

Kitco “Ask” prices. Last week:

Gold $1,812.50
Silver $20.86
Platinum $919.00
Palladium $1,490.00
Rhodium $11,100.00

This week, 3PM Mountain Time, markets have closed for the weekend.

Gold $1,857.50
Silver $21.35
Platinum $989.00
Palladium $1,512.00
Rhodium $10,850.00

And now, they’re going up. One could make a lot of money in this market, simply by buying low and selling high, but the trick that’s hard to learn (I never did!) is timing.

Three Bodies

So far with the occasional exception everything I’ve discussed has been “straight” Newtonian two body astrodynamics. Aside from perturbations due to irregular shapes, under these circumstances an orbit is unchanging. If something is in an elliptical orbit with such-and-such a semi-major axis (size) and eccentricity (shape) at some inclination, some longitude of the ascending node, and some argument of perigee (all discussed in the first few parts of this series), then it will stay that way, forever.

What I didn’t mention is the sixth element, which defines where on the ellipse the object is. That can be stated as some time it was at periapsis, or how long since a reference time (the epoch) it has been since it was at periapsis (“time since periapsis passage”)

Once you know that number plus the others, you can literally calculate where the satellite is at any given time…an hour from now, a billion years from now, a billion years ago (if it has been in that orbit for that long). If the epoch is midnight, 1 January 2000, and the satellite is in an orbit whose period is three hours, and at the epoch the satellite was at apoapsis, then, well that’s half an orbit, so time since periapsis passage is 1.5 hours, even for some date a billion years in the future it’s easy…in this case, because the satellite orbits exactly eight times in a day, its position at midnight any day is the same. It’s at apoapsis. (If it’s not this tidy, you can divide number of days since epoch by the orbital period…and keep the remainder.) Now there is a complicated way to turn any arbitrary time since the satellite was last at apoapsis into a position in the elliptical orbit. but the point is, it’s “closed form” and you can readily compute it for any time without being concerned with all the intervening times between epoch and that time.

Fairly routine.

Put in a third body, and all this tidiness goes right out the window. Given three bodies, in certain locations traveling at certain speeds in certain directions at some time, there is no formula to tell you where the three bodies will be…not even thirty seconds later!

There are some extremely special cases…imagine five bodies spaced equally far apart, marking the vertices of a giant pentagon in the sky. If they’re all moving in exactly the right way, you’ll simply see them all going in circles and the five points of the pentagon will simply rotate around the center of the pentagon. You can calculate positions by computing how many revolutions have occurred since your reference time. (But that has to be set up deliberately.) And there are others too.

But generally speaking…no formula.

Now given that this is the real-life case, how on (or off) Earth do we handle this?

There’s no formula to describe, say, the solar system with the sun, eight planets, and innumerable asteroids, Kuiper Belt objects, comets and so forth, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be computed (in practice they only bother with the more prominent objects).

Consider: Start with your three objects in certain positions traveling in certain directions at certain speeds.

You can compute, at that instant, the forces acting on each object, because of the other two (or more, if there are more) objects. That’s a simple matter of computing the force between the first object and each one of the other objects with Newton’s law of gravitation, then adding them up. You can turn that into accelerations, and then you can apply those accelerations to the initial positions and velocities…for a very small period of time.

It’s straightforward to compute where the objects will be after that very short period of time, and how fast they will be traveling. But now positions and speeds have shifted slightly. You have new positions and velocities. So do it again: compute new forces, and apply them to the newer situation. Compute the new situation, and repeat. Again, and again and again, until you get to the time you’re interested in trying to predict. In a way, it’s a bit like a stop-motion claymation animation.

This is called numerical integration because you’re doing computations and successively accumulating the results.

There is of course a problem: Your steps won’t be entirely accurate, because you’re assuming things don’t change during your interval. But in fact the positions, velocities and forces change continuously, not step by step. So your first computation will be a little bit off; the second one starts with a situation that’s slightly wrong, so the result of it will be a little bit more wrong because it too introduces new errors, and so on.

You can try to alleviate this by making your intervals shorter and shorter, but every time you halve the interval, you double the amount of steps you need to compute. But you can make the interval as small as you need to, to get the accuracy you want.

There are also some other tricks to make it more accurate, one called the trapezoid rule and one called the Simpson rule (and there are others); unfortunately those terms only make sense if you’re using numerical integration to approximate the area under a curve; but they apply to this much more complicated six-dimensional problem as well. (If interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Numerical_integration. If not interested, there is still information there to read.)

Which should bring up a question in your mind. I just got through telling you we can’t compute the exact answer, so, given that numerical integration gives you an approximation, how can you tell how close the approximation is?

There are two methods. One is you experiment with decreasing step sizes. When it gets to the point where the answer doesn’t change much even if you divide the step size by (say) ten, your step size is probably so small the accumulated errors are insignificant.

Or you can apply numerical integration to a two body problem, one you know the answer to, run it for the same length of time, and cut the step size until the error is acceptable. Then you’ll have a good notion what step size will work..

I actually had to write a numerical integrator for orbital mechanics once, and I “calibrated” it by setting it to work computing a circular orbit for one period. So I just kept decreasing the step size until the spacecraft “returned” to a position less than a millimeter off from its starting point. That was good enough to attack the short-duration three body problem I was really interested in.

But as you probably noticed…you need a computer to do this.

NASA had to do this sort of thing in the 1960s when computer time was very, very expensive (and the computers were slow), so they really didn’t want to mess with it until they knew it was worthwhile. So checking out a planned probe to (say) the moon, which involved three bodies, earth, moon, and probe (and maybe–OK, definitely–include the sun too), you would want to be fairly sure what your approximate answer would be before you got started; you’d be doing this computation to get the exact answer, once you know from the approximation that the mission is possible given the rockets you have available.

So that means there had to be methods to do an approximate plan, at least one to let you know whether the mission was feasible; methods that might take a day or two with a slide rule (still cheaper than a computer back then) but not use a computer. And those methods do exist.

And that’s for a future post. But in the meantime I can leave you with some eye candy. The numerical integration method is not limited to three, or a dozen, or even a million bodies, provided you have the computing power to do it.

Our galaxy, the Milky Way, is actually traveling toward M 31, the Andromeda galaxy (or it toward us, depending on how you look at it), and in about 5 billion years they will collide. (to give you an idea of scale, the two galaxies are each roughly 100,000 light years across and they are about 2 million light years apart, so right now you can set two quarters about 20 inches apart and get a reasonably to-scale diagram of the situation,) It’s not really a big deal. The stars within a galaxy are so far apart compared to their sizes, that there might not be any collisions between the individual stars. But what will happen is that under the influence of the other galaxy’s gravity, stars will be sent flying out of their galaxy and then what is left over will coalesce into “milkdromeda.” Hundreds of billions of stars are involved. To analyze this astronomers can put a hundred thousand or a million representative stars in each galaxy (perhaps a bit more into Andromeda because it’s larger than the Milky Way) and…run the sim, for several billion years of simulation time. This is a lot of computer time, even today, but there are supercomputers that can “crunch” the numbers.

In this video, the Milky Way is on the left, and Andromeda is on the right. I’ve seen ones with longer run times, and what happens is the two “cores” eventually coalesce into one core…and about 50 percent of the stars remain to be part of the new galaxy.

Of course we will never be able to verify the accuracy of that (by the time it happens, this column will have been forgotten for 4,999,999,999.99 years), but we can find other pairs of galaxies in the process of colliding right now, and you’ll see similar looking things, like below:

Belarus President Lukashenko Visits Chairman Xi, Affirms Support for China’s Ukraine Peace Plan

You would think that Lukashenko violated a war commandment from NATO, the World Economic Forum and the Western alliance when you read the apoplexy from the media describing how he stood next to Chairman Xi during his Chinese leader’s first comments in public about China’s peace proposal.

When you look at the big picture, you realize how strongly the western alliance needs to maintain a NATO expanded war with Russia as the only possible path forward. Anyone like Viktor Orban (Hungary) or Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus) who propose anything, except expanded war with Russia, are immediately attacked by the entire apparatus of western media.

It’s a remarkable dynamic to watch.

EZEKIEL 18:21-28

21“But if a wicked man turns away from all his sins which he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness which he has done he shall live. 23Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, says the Lord GOD, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? 24But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and does the same abominable things that the wicked man does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds which he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, he shall die. 25“Yet you say, `The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? 26When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, he shall die for it; for the iniquity which he has committed he shall die. 27Again, when a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is lawful and right, he shall save his life. 28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions which he had committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

PSALMS 130:1-8

1Out of the depths I cry to thee, O LORD! 2Lord, hear my voice! Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications! 3If thou, O LORD, shouldst mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand? 4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. 5I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; 6my soul waits for the LORD more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. 7O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plenteous redemption. 8And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

MATTHEW 5:20-26

20For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 21“You have heard that it was said to the men of old, `You shall not kill; and whoever kills shall be liable to judgment.’ 22But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, `You fool!’ shall be liable to the hell of fire. 23So if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. 25Make friends quickly with your accuser, while you are going with him to court, lest your accuser hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you be put in prison; 26truly, I say to you, you will never get out till you have paid the last penny.

Wandering Wolf

Spring 2023 is Now a “GO” – Expect Da Woof to be Gone for Weeks at a Time

I have for you all, what is likely both good news and bad news.

The good news is that we are prepared for periods of my extended absence from this place.

The bad news is that there are no more “dry runs” – the time is here.

I waited to deliver this message until the first of March, to make sure that everything was a “go” for my spring plans, and as of now, it’s all a go.

I anticipated needing to take off from here for multiple reasons on multiple occasions, but all of that really depended on certain things happening, and they did, and there will not be any backing out of those things now, so….

HERE WE GO.

For the next four months, I will be checking in here FOR SURE every week or two – at most THREE WEEKS – and I will try to check in more often if I can. However, it is better for various reasons if I don’t check in under some circumstances. Thus, if I’m away for a while, and not checking in, it’s a good thing. It means things are going as expected. If I’m gone for a month, you are officially allowed to worry. Three weeks will be unlikely. The Nervous Nellies can start worrying at 3 weeks.

This is going to go on for March, April, May and June. Possibly July, but probably not. You’re just not going to see much of me for much of the time.

Because of the way notifications work, and the way important things can get buried under newer notifications, the easiest way to contact me (and me alone) is to do a PRIVATE MESSAGE TO WOLF (using underscores instead of spaces) on one of MY posts, such as the Monday Open.

Even Mona Lisa had to get through Mondays.

Contacting me is explained in more depth on the Contact Page.

If you want Deplorable Patriot, Bakocarl, SteveInCO, or another author to ALSO see your message (say it’s some kind of emergency, particularly on THEIR thread), then do a PMTW reply on one of THEIR threads. That private message will be seen by BOTH OF US, but not by other authors.

I ask authors to leave any moderated messages (including PMTW) up, and don’t delete them. I’ll deal with them the next time I’m back on the site.

There is a possibility that the site will go down completely – particularly during troubled times like we are currently in. Dementia Joe and KlauSS SSchwab are not making things easy for this site. I can’t go into all the details, but we’ve already had to deal with their crap at several junctures, in part due to “global” concerns, and there could easily be new junctures.

Just add mushroom clouds.

In the event of disaster, there are multiple options.

You should note, however, that most of these options are on WORDPRESS DOT COM, and are dependent on that site being both UP and allowing our discussion. If wordpress-dot-com is brought down, for any reason foreign or domestic, then ALL of these options except GAB go down with it.

So if you’re looking for another denizen from here, look in all of these places.

For continuity of this site, the backup site is most likely to find new daily threads.

When I next return to the site, I’ll do whatever fixes are needed. Until then, you are allowed to enjoy your vacation elsewhere!

Suggestions (Not Orders) During My Absence

So what can you all do to make things easier?

  • Be civil to each other, and even better, KIND
  • Be especially civil in REPLYING to each other
  • Avoid picking sides in personal disputes
  • Yet never refraining from speaking the truth
  • Take a breather on another site if things get hot
  • Send me a “bat signal” if things are getting out of hand
  • Yet try to solve things socially – try to “work things out”
  • Remember that this site is for sharing information
  • Nobody is required to be “balanced” – YOU provide balance – with a civil tongue
  • Bad information is subject to correction, which is encouraged
  • Be careful in discussing violence, as we have always stated
  • Yet don’t shy away from discussing the need for crimes to be punished, and for good people to stop tolerating criminality in government, and in government-protected criminal groups, organizations, and classes of people.
  • BE FEARLESS IN TRUTH.

Other than that, I wish you GODSPEED, Vaya con Dios, and GOD BLESS.

I will see you the next time!
