A massive study of 493,705 children found a 23% increased risk of developing autoimmune disease after COVID-19 vaccination, with symptoms emerging about 9 months after injection.

The study titled “Investigating the association between SARS-CoV-2 infection, COVID-19 vaccination, and autoimmune diseases in a pediatric population: a comprehensive analysis” was just published in the journal Pediatric Rheumatology:
Background
During the COVID-19 pandemic there were reports of an increased association between COVID 19 and various autoimmune diseases (AID) in adults. This study aims to investigate the incidence of AIDs in children before and during the pandemic and explores potential links to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
Methods
We analyzed 493,705 anonymized medical records from Maccabi Healthcare Services, Israel’s second-largest healthcare provider, to study AID incidence during 2014–2022. The study period was divided into three phases: two pre-pandemic phases of equal duration (A and B) and a pandemic phase (C).
Results
Of 4,596 (0.9%) patients diagnosed with an AID in the cohort, incidence rates were 0.9% for Group A (2014–2016), 1.0% for Group B (2017–2019), and 0.9% for Group C (2020–2022) (p = 0.13). Logistic regression showed no significant differences in overall autoimmune disease incidence between the pre-COVID and COVID periods. Notably, specific conditions like celiac disease showed reduced incidence in Group A (OR 0.8309, p = 0.0071) while arthritis was significantly more common in Groups A and B. Additionally, COVID-19 diagnosis was not significantly associated with increased autoimmune disease risk (HR 1.092, p = 0.491); however, receiving at least one COVID vaccine was linked to higher risk (HR 1.2323, p = 0.0033).
Conclusion
Our findings suggest that the overall incidence of new-onset autoimmune diseases in children remained relatively stable during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study indicates a potential association between COVID-19 vaccination and an increased risk of developing autoimmune diseases, necessitating further research to elucidate long-term effects in the pediatric population.
Suddenly the multiple cases of “sudden new autoimmune problems” among my vax-friendly liberal friends and neighbors make a lot of sense.

Well, this confirms my prior decision to not read or rely on the Marshall Report. I went there out of curiosity and saw a meme that shows the heights of Trump, Vance, and Elon. It is completely inaccurate, but that site is known for a lack of attention to facts.

Vance is 6’2″, not 5’7″. Apparently Google listed him as 5’7″ at one time, but that is clearly wrong, as has been obvious since Vance came on the scene.
Musk is 6’2″
The writing style attempts to lead the reader into thinking there is something sinister going on.
In addition, it rambles on without clarity, alleging that:

So … in order to treat it as proper in lieu of an actual signature, evidence will have to be pleaded to prove that its use should be presumed to be valid. That should make for interesting motions claiming [for example] that a pardon is enforceable.

That is a memorandum, not a statute. Its stance is that autopen signatures are valid but that delegating the decision is the heart of the matter. If Biden told an aide to draw up pardons and sign them without Biden’s making a decision on each one, that would definitely not be valid.

There was some doubt about her “signature”; back then, most people signed with an ‘X’, while someone else wrote their name.
Well, lo and behold, when she died, that kid inherited everything! So the other children sued. They were able to prove that their mother was incapable of legally making that ‘X’, and so the previous will prevailed.
That ‘X’ is the equivalent of authorizing the autopen. Was Biden mentally competent to make his mark if required? I doubt it.

she has been moved from the hospital to a nursing home/rehab center. I just spoke with her this morning and she began the rehab process. she told me she rode a stationary bicycle this morning for 20 minutes, so that was encouraging. The swelling and redness has left her left leg, but the right is healing slower–still slightly swollen but the redness has finally started to recede.
we sent her a beautiful floral arrangement that is causing everyone on the floor (hospital and rehab center) to stop in and say hi to mom and see her flowers. so she is getting to know and meet people and making some new friends.

The whole idea of the autopen seems wrong, since authorizing any external entity to sign for somebody, could theoretically operate in a region of time where the person has become incompetent. Requiring an original signature by the person is in many ways the same as requiring an instant verification of mental competency.

I would think Biden was getting PSA tests done at least yearly. Elevated PSA levels, and early prostate cancer, can be dealt with before the cancer metastasizes. On the other hand, we have heard a lot about turbo cancers resulting from the vax, so I’m wondering if this might be such a case.

I would say it’s mainly negative because of the scientific inaccuracies. This movie is literally used as training for NASA managers to see how many scientific mistakes they can find. It’s usually over 150 meaning this movie averages at least one inaccuracy per minute. However, despite that I still find it enjoyable and entertaining. Deep Impact was more scientifically accurate than Armageddon.

I’ve seen reports of otherwise healthy people, who didn’t think they had any illness, being diagnosed with advanced cancer and die within a few months. So I do think that, even with regular exams, it could have happened quickly. But it’s just a theory.

Thanks to so many of you for prayers & encouragements as my family slogs through some tough times still.
My husband & I along with my brother Mike spent about 4 hours with Dad at the funeral home planning Mom’s various arrangements. The funeral director is the eldest daughter of Dad’s longtime hunting buddy who died last Fall. My parents lead her dad to the Lord & their later faith journey lead my parents to the church they’ve now been part of for about 50 years. Debbie also went to a Christian college in OK that my parents Really wanted me to attend, when I wanted University of Michigan but followed what I believed was God’s direction to go to that OK college instead so I went rather kicking & screaming. If I hadn’t been in OK I likely never would have met Michael & this saga wouldn’t be as is.
Clyde, Debbie’s dad, was my husband’s nemesis at Hunting Camp & for many years I had to talk Michael off a cliff to even consider going back to the Shack where Clyde drove him nuts. (Clyde & Dad had some times too & Clyde even Cracked his Own Rib on my dad in a headlock because Dad wouldn’t cry “Uncle”…so you know where I got That from LOL). Anyway in later years Michael observed Clyde care for his ailing wife who was disabled by Guianne Barre Syndrome & this touched a deep wounded/tender area in my husband’s heart because he’d watched his step-father Dennis bodily minister to his dying mother & demonstrate “laying down his life in love” over & over & over again…AND that is just what we were witness to as my dad, no more of a “servant” in his heart than I am, consistently took hit after hit & loss after loss with Mom over these last five months especially.
Anyway Debbie is giving up a planned birthday trip to personally attend to my mother’s funeral needs. She said that Mom was her Godmother, which is something I didn’t know, & that it would be her absolute Honor to care for her. This was deeply moving. Having her oversee this process that came so suddenly & unexpectedly upon us is a great comfort & my brother believes that it was God ordained as it just came to him to seek her out because Dad wasn’t open since her father’s funeral was so far away, but we didn’t know that she worked out of a chain of 5 funeral homes so they chose the one about 15 minutes from Dad’s house.
Dates but not times are set so the last Wednesday of May will have visitation in the late afternoon/early evening & Friday will be the funeral hopefully earlier in the day & Saturday will be the burial in Northern Michigan near the Cottage where they purchased plots down the row from Dad’s cousin Tom who died a few years back & the next section over from 4 generations of Dad’s relatives. But this won’t Require a family presence as no service.
Back to Josiah. He’s on the third night I’ve been away, or is it the second? Everything is turning into a blur now. He’s holding his own & his sister & his wife & her family have been by the days I’ve been gone & Clarissa (always with her 2 year old daughter Lillian in tow) plans to be there tomorrow morning again. I plan to return late afternoon into evening & stay for the duration of his hospitalization, Lord willing.
Overall he’s continuing to improve & they have him on a soft diet whereas it was full liquids yesterday at the beginning. His pain is decreasing & his liver & white count numbers have been varying. They still have IVs in both arms, he had 4 pumps going for a while, but they’d detached the tubes earlier after another Magnesium run completed. They restarted an IV antibiotic later yesterday evening so this Might have been due to lab info, I don’t know.
He might go home as early as Tuesday but most likely Wednesday. We’ll see.
He’s been good about calling us since I’ve been gone to run things by us including when a doctor had stopped by yesterday. Michael had to head out for a bit so didn’t participate in the whole conversation but frankly Everyone in the family is on conversational overload, especially the way both Dad & I communicate (You’re killing me Smalls!!!). I asked the doc to help me formulate a bullet point style summary & then suggested some type of framing that he basically assented to rather than giving a KBK or Pat F down & dirty summation…it’s possible I wore the doc down too (PGroup might have some thoughts here LOL)…
Bottom line is Josiah’s Pancreas, having now experienced Severe Pancreatitis is now at increased risk of further complications, especially when other endoscopic procedures are attempted like in 3 months. I wondered if this meant he might be followed closely for like 6 months or so until he’s out of the woods, so to speak. It’s more like he’s going to be monitored on the Pancreas for the Rest of His Life & in a more comprehensive manner than the Liver Transplant doctor can be expected to oversee. Likely he will be added into some type of GI sub-specialty Pancreas focused medical team for monitoring in the short term & hopefully more distant oversight (my own wished for possibility but not so stated by that doctor) as the years go by. I really hope it turns into more routine labs added to liver blood panels & consultations with concerning numbers only, but who (clearly Only GOD, per usual) knows…
When I said the short version of life-long pancreas monitoring to Michael when he walked through the door his face literally fell. I’ve fought directly in this particular fray for so long that these type of body blows don’t register to me they way they do to him. He Still plays Sam to my Frodo…he may not be able to carry The Ring (that is Josiah ubiquitously in our lives) but he can carry his best friend Frodo, aka me…

We’ve looked at it That way for a Very Long Time. No one knows how much Michael carries me & no one knows how much I carry because of Josiah.
Whenever we watch LOTR I Always see Sam as the the True Hero, for he’s doing it All. Everyone is praising Frodo, the Ring Bearer (to Bear a Ring of Power IS to be alone–a deeply painful yet profoundly accurate assessment in my experience) but that’s All he carries, Sam is integral to Everything, the true unsung hero of that quest.
Sam’s feisty “I’ll have you on shanks!” readied fisticuffs standing up to Aragorn is kind of how Michael stands ready to face those “giants” coming after me. No one else in my life has Ever been as protective of me mentally, emotionally, or physically.
Ironically we met at the pool when we lived in the same apartment complex in Tulsa. It was the first really hot day in May & I “shaved everything down” (LOL after cold weather neglect) so I could don a swimming suit. I saw this cute dark haired guy (completely ignored the blond guy) & just teased & pestered him until he got into that cold water with me LOL (I still remind him because he Hates cold water & there’s so much of it in Northern Michigan).
Anyway we ended up conversing in the water & poolside & learned that we were both Spirit-filled Christians. Later his roommate showed up & the 3 of us walked back to our apartments but I saw where they lived but didn’t reveal my own location for I lived alone then the next building over, overlooking the parking lot & the “projects”. In parting he said something like “if you ever need anything” & I’m like “like what, Protection?”
Anyway I Always walked the little pathway between apartments after getting my mail just for the aesthetics, there was a little stream & curving bridges over it a couple places, much more enjoyable than the parking lot. He saw me walking there after we met and Assumed I was walking by his place deliberately so one day invited me to his patio to talk, which I did…the rest, as they say is history. We showed the kids That pool where we met (God was our matchmaker 
for we had no people or places in common) the last time we were in Tulsa, for my niece’s wedding maybe 15 years ago.
That’s a nice story.

We all know this. It’s just media gaslighting again, trying to convince people that what we KNOW is not true.
I don’t question the expertise of a urologist. I do think a sudden onset of turbo cancer is a possibility, although not a probability.
I knew someone who got his PSA checked annually. One year it was considerably elevated, and he had cancer. They checked to see if it had metastasized to his bones, and thankfully it hadn’t and he was successfully treated.
My point is that things are not always cut and dried, black and white. If it were impossible for prostate cancer to have metastasized within a few months or a year, they would have had no need to test for that. But of course they have to do that testing out of an abundance of caution. That keeps the idea of metastasis within a short time frame within the realm of possibility.
Certainly one would not expect a man who is getting regular checkups and testing to have cancer that metastasizes so rapidly, but I do think it is within the realm of possibility, especially with what we know about the vax.
That said, this might not be what happened with Biden. I’m just saying that we don’t know what we don’t know.
Your right we don’t know however extending the benefit of the doubt to Biden seems to be a non starter unless he were to start declaring the vax created turbo cancers. Then maybe.
My intent is not to give any credit or benefit of the doubt to Biden, but to keep all options open as we try to find the truth. He might really have advanced cancer. The severity of it might have only recently been discovered (or not; I’m saying we don’t know for sure). We have enough evidence of his incapacity due to dementia to investigate and place blame; we don’t have to have a long-standing cancer diagnosis on top of it.
But if Biden has had a cancer diagnosis for some time, that does need to be investigated. His Defense secretary, Lloyd Austin, got in trouble twice for not revealing his illnesses and absences. The POTUS needs to be transparent with the people. And what about all those physicals that he passed? His doctor(s) need to be questioned.
A very bright spotlight should be on Jill Biden, IMO, in any case.

I am sure you have reasoned out why they keep such things sub rosa. It is like FDR never being photographed in a wheelchair. I assume that such information is withheld in large corporations as well. It will probably take some decades before it has reached its full flower. I, without knowing for sure, would bet that such information is automatically classified for national security purposes.
Wouldn’t the difference with regard to FDR be that his condition was known and he used crutches and the leg braces often but resisted being seen in a wheelchair or being photographed as a ‘cripple’.
Biden’s supposed illness was withheld from the public and that’s including dementia too, IMO that’s a completely different deal.
For the most part all these politicians know that any weakness (disease, scandal, etc.) will be attacked by the other side just to generate chaos and detract from their ability to effectively advance their agenda. It is the way the game is played. Both sides understand it, thus the default position of secrecy.
Whether or not it’s true, it’s a gaffe.

IMO, there is another element or so in the “elephant in the room” scenario:
One: the element of the “nobodies” not talking because they’re “financially beholden” to Big Pharma and/or funding from the federal government.
Two: the element of fear, as the “light bulb just turned on” recognition crystallizes that they themselves, or someone they know, may well be COVID-19 “vaccine”-injured, sick, disabled, or passed away due to the “vaccines” they took.

She was near normal, little hiccups, but still driving at Christmas; she gave Dad her car keys around Valentine’s Day when she got confused about how to drive home after picking up food at a nearby restaurant: Anniversary 4/21 couldn’t manage outing for a meal; Easter rallied enough to come to our home for a meal & still walking w/ difficulty & talking; Mother’s Day couldn’t come out & I think she couldn’t hardly speak; next day fell & ER for scalp cut & staples; fell 2 more times in next couple days & spent 5 hours on the floor when they couldn’t get her up so she slept on the floor in exhaustion; Thursday nearly undetectable BP & to ER unresponsive w/ vitals stabilized; Friday perforated bowel detected, septic shock, organs shutting down, comfort measures, death at 10:15 am

The theory that may fit for your mom has to do with that 10-11% of the population that seem to struggle to clear circulating spike protein in their bodies. I learned about that from that video I shared with your previously. It was the one interviewing a doctor who treats MCAS in her clinic.
She already knew how to treat the excessive inflammation and her patients were doing great recovering from covid before the shots. She goes over her program for treatment and that’s what I used for my recent MCAS-like condition. I’m pretty much out of the woods, just on a half-dose of anti-histamine (h1+h2) daily. It makes me sleepy a bit now, which is a good sign for me.

So for anyone who hasn’t been keeping tabs on Romania, Simon lost to whom is said to be the Centrist candidate, the liberal mayor of Budapest. Despite the camouflage and Romania is multi party state and winning an election against multiple parties is extremely hard. The reason why two party systems are better as with a multi party system the other parties can gang up on the poplar party and defeat it as was and normally is the case.

Tonight, after a great deal of work and engagement over the weekend, the Budget Committee advanced a reconciliation bill that lays the foundation for much needed tax relief, border security, and important spending reductions and reforms. Importantly the bill now will move Medicaid work requirements forward and reduces the availability of future subsidies under the green new scam.
But, the bill does not yet meet the moment – leaving almost half of the green new scam subsidies continuing. More, it fails to end the Medicaid money laundering scam and perverse funding structure that provides seven times more federal dollars for each dollar of state spending for the able-bodied relative to the vulnerable. This all ultimately increases the likelihood of continuing deficits and non-Obamacare-expansion states like Texas expanding in the future. We can and must do better before we pass the final product.
As such, I joined with 3 of my colleagues to vote “present” out of respect for the Republican Conference and the President to move the bill forward. It gives us the opportunity to work together this week to get the job done in light of the fact our bond rating was dropped yet again due to historic fiscal mismanagement by both parties. This bill is a strong step forward – and I am proud of Chairman Arrington, the Speaker, and my colleagues for the work we did to make progress with the White House. But we have to do more to deliver for the American people.
Nice concession speech and nice way to say the DOGE cuts that should be obvious are not going to be implemented. No sense in riling up the party when we aren’t going to get our desert. Same with SS tax break for seniors, as apparently the tax break will be temporary if I’ve been reading correctly.
Answer is vote better people in during the midterm as we squash the RINOs and then lets do it again!

A “deduction” is generally off of income, whilst a “credit” comes off the tax owed.
An “exclusion” comes off income before you get to the “total income” line. An “adjustment” comes off total income before you get to the “adjusted gross income (AGI) line (this is traditionally when you turned the 1040 form over).
From there, you typically have “itemized deductions” (which may be limited or phased-out depending on AGI) to get to “taxable income”. Your taxable income then determines your tax (although it can be peculiar to get there, being that you may be taxed multiple different ways. After your tax is computed, you can have “tax credits” to come to a balance due (much of which may have been paid through withholding).

Being more correct than “largely” is where you can get the big bucks.
It looks like I lumped exclusions, adjustments, and deductions together–the key (to me anyway) characteristic of all three being that they come off your income; they reduce the number you will be looking up in the tax table (or computing using the formula for people who blow the top off that table). I was drawing a distinction between those (lumped together) and credits which come off the tax amout you got from that process, so a dollar’s worth of credit is worth more than one dollar of the others. (very roughly about 3x as much, depending.)
Tax credits.
We had solar put in some years ago and there is a “tax credit” available. HOWEVER, for someone without enough income to owe any taxes, the tax credit does you no good. This tax credit is non-refundable. Therefore if you don’t owe any taxes, you can’t apply the credit and get a refund of the portion beyond what you owe.

EXCLUSIVE: We witnessed an incredibly rare sight in the sanctuary city of Los Angeles, as Twin Towers jail transferred an illegal alien inmate to ICE custody, not because sanctuary policies have changed, but because the jail is being *forced* to cooperate w/ ICE as part of a new federal operation designed to “neutralize” California’s sanctuary state law.
The new Trump-appointed US Attorney in Los Angeles, @USAttyEssayli, launched “Operation Guardian Angel” last week, and it’s already forcing sanctuary jails to make transfers to ICE.
How does it work?
Essayli has organized a federal task force made up of ICE, FBI, HSI, DEA, and ATF, working out of an office in downtown LA. Every single day, they are now scanning criminal databases w/ fingerprints and identifying illegal aliens in jails throughout Southern California who have been previously deported from the United States.
If they’ve come back to the US after a deportation, they’ve committed a federal felony under 8 USC 1326 known as “illegal re-entry”.
As soon as the task force ID’s an alien booked into a local jail who has a previous deportation, they seek a federal criminal warrant on them for felony re-entry, signed off on by a federal judge.
Unlike an administrative ICE warrant or ICE detainer request, these criminal judicial warrants for 8 USC 1326 *CANNOT* be ignored by sanctuary jurisdictions, and California’s sanctuary state law cannot shield aliens from these criminal warrants. Instead of releasing the alien inmates and ignoring ICE detainers, jails must hand the aliens over to the Feds, regardless of sanctuary policy.
“With this operation, we’re going to be neutralizing California sanctuary state policies,” Essayli told me. “We’re going to flood the system with warrants for criminal illegal immigrants who are in county jails, they can ignore a detainer, but they cannot ignore a criminal arrest warrant. They have no choice, they will comply, and if they don’t, if they interfere with our ability to arrest a federal felon, they can expect to face consequences for that.
@FoxNews was granted exclusive access to the task force as they scanned databases and found a previously deported Mexican alien in jail in downtown LA who had just been arrested for robbery in the city of El Monte. They filed a warrant, and we joined them at LA County’s Twin Towers jail as the sanctuary jurisdiction handed the alien inmate over to the task force – potentially one of the first on camera transfers to ICE since California’s sanctuary state law took effect in 2017.
The task force says once they’re at full steam, they project they will be arresting 40-50 aliens from local jails every week, and that if it’s successful in LA, US Attorneys can use it as a model to neutralize sanctuary jurisdictions in other parts of the country.
Conservatives are way smarter than liberals when they put their minds to it!

I’m still at home & Josiah is being gracious to let me sleep at home again before heading back for the duration of his hospitalization. He’s on solid foods now but only was able to eat a few bites. He independently ordered food again this evening & will do his best to eat what he can. His system is Slowly getting back to normal & if the process takes longer than “typical” (nothing is typical for this son of mine) that’s OK. He Might be able to come home tomorrow but I would guess Wednesday is more likely…we’ll see.

Brandon in the red shirt next to me & behind Michael, Josiah in black behind Brandon, Clarissa in blue next to Josiah on one side & Nathaniel on the other (N along with Zach his rival cousin on my brother Curtis’ side tormenting Vanessa who’s being uncooperative per usual, my little brother Mike’s second daughter). That’s about 20 years ago now…how time flies.
I just called my dad but got their answering machine, which is my mom talking & a brief portion of her singing God Bless America. Wow that got the tears flowing. I hope Dad never erases that tiny bit of her that’s still accessible this side of the veil!

Whoops, I think that “last” pic of Mom Might be at this last Christmas, when she could still drive & walk OK but was also slipping a bit. She was likely even More frail at Easter when she last was with grands & great-grands…Pic could even be this past Thanksgiving. I can’t remember & we went lower key with plates etc. Bottom line it’s no more than 6 months ago.
edit (again) looking at the beigish tablecloth at her elbow I think it’s most likely Thanksgiving for I had more Christmasy table cloths on that extra living room card table at Christmas & I don’t think we had that table up even at Easter…(I’m probably the only person obsessing with getting it “right” anyways)..also that might be Clarissa’s homemade cranberry sauce on her plate too

TY TT. My mom was a gem of a person filled with the Light & Love of the Lord. At the time of that group pic I was a ghost of myself for I was in the early stages of major Special Education battles (+medical) on behalf of Josiah. I was very impacted & not nearly as participatory in our gathering as I “should” have been. I was barely able to get out of bed then as I was completely overwhelmed with battles for J & probably already had the “complex PTSD” Josiah’s doctor later told us that we both likely had.

Mom was crazy in the kitchen but back when we had these huge gatherings I devised this color coded chore chart system so each meal a different couple was in charge of food prep & a different team of kids, under that couple’s supervision, was on duty (setting & clearing the table & doing dishes). This actually made it possible for everyone else Not to be on duty to just have fun. Mom hated to not be in charge of the kitchen All of the time but this way we equally shared the workload.
A few years back when she admitted she could no longer manage the kitchen at the Cottage it was a very sad day for her & the rest of us all. We let her help with some minor food prep because it now took her 3-10 times as long to do things she used to easily do but she so wanted to be in there we’d try to find a simple task so she could help a little. I did NOT get my mom’s kitchen obsession gene LOL
I made the kids’ teams as fair as possible & tried to have an Okie on each team. From memory:
Team A: Ashley (oldest & only bio D of C) & Josiah (he needed most help)
Team B: Brandon (J’s twin) & Caleb (C’s step son) & Isaiah (Mikes only son)
Team C: Clarissa & Vanessa (Mike’s second daughter? close friends then)
Team D: Veronica (Mike’s oldest) & Brooke (C’s youngest step D, face scars)
Team E: Nathaniel (my oldest) & Zach (C oldest & only bio son)
We’d attach Lydia, & Cassie Mike’s youngest kids as floaters on various teams.
Zach was 9 months older than Nathaniel but all but one year N was always taller. Zach got held back a year so N graduated at age 17 a year before Z at age 19. Zach was a lot like his dad Curtis used to be, a lot of trouble making, but also a lot of fun.
Later Zach went into the Marines, following in his mother Maria’s dad’s Donald “Hoss” Russel’s footsteps. Hoss was a builder & built huge churches around the country.

Nice catch on the bass–yes. It’s the only 4 string he has. He loves 5 string basses & has a number of electronic ones, a couple Schechters, Ernie’s Balls (my phraseology), & even a Fender. He just found a used Fender Jazz bass on the cheap & it’s being shipped up to our local Guitar Center for him to try out soon. Ever since he played a couple different gigs associated with particular black gospel group & he heard the females bassist’s Extremely sweet Fender Jazz Bass he’s wanted to acquire one. This might be the one soon & fortunately our tax refund just came LOL

I do go see a local “Rush Tribute Band” (they try to look like Rush and do their darnedest to sound like Rush but that is difficult, they were probably one of the most technically awesome bands ever–Poor Alex Lifeson, the guitarist would be famous and on a lot of people’s “top 100” lists but is under-rated because his two band mates were also “god level” as some people put it, especially Neal Peart the drummer who is arguably the Greatest Of All Time).
There is a guy who goes to those gigs who will, during the intermission, scream out “RUSH!!!!” and sometimes I’ll follow it with “And he doesn’t mean Limbaugh!” and that will get some responses.
LOL You are a character. There was some album that Rush did connected to the Steampunk genre, maybe even with an associated novel. I can’t now recall the details but I checked it out years ago & it was intriguing.
I understand that the Rush fanbase is heavily tilted toward males…for some reason. Hubby plays Tom Sawyer with some regularity in his weekend music moods

However, the entire A side of 2112 was devoted to a LONG work named, well, 2112. The official music video for it shows scenes from a “graphic novel” (that contains a lot of the story that didn’t make it into the lyrics). So it’s just barely possible that’s what you’re thinking of.

That was Rush’s very last album, and I only myself got a copy of it about two months ago.
The last three Rush albums (Vapor Trails, Snakes and Arrows, and Clockwork Angels) don’t “sound like Rush” to me but I am used to their songs where they use a synthesizer heavily (which a lot of their really early fans–guitar purists I guess–hated them for doing). And it always takes a few listens to really get to like the songs; I like Clockwork Angels a lot.
Well you might want to check out the novel to read as you play some of their Clockwork Angels album in the background for a more immersive experience

We had this kid that lived across the street from us when we lived at my parents’ Cottage as newlyweds. Brent had his grandpa’s fishing gift. It didn’t matter what time or where he fished on the lake he was Always successful. He even borrowed lures from Michael (who’d had no success with them) & he’d basically score a catch Every Time. It was uncanny & often hilariously frustrating for M. We still think of him even though he died young in a road construction crushing accident probably 2 decades ago.

My mother Elaine was a beautiful woman who had all the qualities a loving & godly wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, & sister-in-Christ should have. Few could live up to the high standard she set in how she lived her life & how she loved those she encountered in small & large ways. As her only daughter I can truly marvel at how she was fearfully & wonderfully made by the Lord & gifted to her family for more than three quarters of a century.
I am wired quite differently than my mother in many respects so that we both complimented & clashed with each other from time to time. I am overjoyed to see her various shining traits springing forth in the generations that follow where all of her biological descendants, of age, as well as her step grand-children & great-grandchildren of the heart have chosen to follow Christ Jesus in salvation, faith, & Christian living. We hope & pray for any remaining loved ones who have not yet chosen Jesus as Savior that they might be brought closer to God’s Kingdom in celebrating Mom’s life. Mom’s gifts in music, cooking, & caring for the needs of others are lived out in divergently unique ways in her myriad descendants. What a mysterious joy to watch this continuously unfold!
Mom gave of herself to nearly everyone she met in small & large ways. She was a listening ear, a compassionate soul, a tenderhearted communicator, a fierce prayer warrior, a playful companion, a feisty competitor, and so much more. It is Impossible to encapsulate a life but Mom surely lived and loved one of the best lives a person could have on this earth.
We were blessed to have her here for as long as we did. We are blessed who carry her genetics into the future. We are blessed to have known her personally and intimately on so many levels. We are blessed by her many prayers over many years that will continue to bear fruit, even eternally. We were blessed by her example as a wife, mother (in various stages across generations), Christian, and friend. She will be mightily missed & never completely forgotten on Earth by those who knew her in this life.
Please, if you have not yet done so, Choose Christ for yourself so that you may also rejoice with us in Heaven when your time too comes to leave this mortal plane/plain(?). Mom has cast off suffering & is living eternally in the Presence of God, Love, Light, Peace, Joy, and so much more. Further up and further in!
Her children will rise up and call her blessed, as will her husband in love (personal scripture paraphrase) and God will wipe away all tears & there will be no more sorrow or suffering for the former things have passed away & behold all things have been made new!

Hello, this is Elaine’s daughter Valerie again to share a bit about Elaine’s adoption story*******
Elaine was born to unwed teenage parents Avis Bertha Bluemly and Robert David Mellinger. Avis was sent to live with a Detroit-area doctor, friend of the family, to have the baby away from the small, tight knit Ionia County community where she’d lived. Robert’s family provided some financial support for her care. Elaine’s original birth certificate said “baby girl Bluemly” for her name with a thick, black crossing out of what might have been a prior name given her. I haven’t yet attempted electronic manipulation of the birth certificate copy to see if what’s hidden might be revealed*******
Avis’ doctor was also connected to Elaine’s adoptive mother, Marie Koski (born Mathilda “Tilly” Marie Kangas) & Grandma Koski either cleaned house for this doctor (called Dr. Hammer?) or her close friend or relative did. I don’t believe Grandma ever conceived any of her own children & she & Grandpa John Emmanuel Koski had already adopted the son of John’s troubled sister Aili, William Maynard Koski. Maynard was treated poorly by the insular immigrant Finnish community where they’d lived in the Upper Peninsula so when it became known that this teenage mother’s baby would be available Marie faked a pregnancy so no would would disparage This child like they did her son/nephew. Only one close female relative knew of the deception & Elaine was able to speak with her in later years about events after Marie’s death*******
A private adoption was arranged & John & Marie became Elaine Elizabeth Koski’s parents. About 60 years later Valerie did genealogy research & inadvertently made contact with the Bluemly family when Avis was laid to rest in the family plot in Ionia County Michigan. Mom & Valerie met several birth cousins & one who also claimed that she was actually Avis’ other child but had been raised by Avis’ sister Doris. We also thankfully met Avis’ sister Nila before she passed*******
Bluemlys told us that Avis always looked at Robert as “the love of her life” & was very sorry the family wouldn’t let her teenage self keep their baby. She even snuck around Koski’s Detroit home & saw Elaine as a toddler. Avis’ baby was a closely guarded secret within the Bluemly family & warmly embraced when discovered & reunited*******
We also met several of Robert’s relatives before they passed, siblings & more, & 2 of his daughters. Robert’s signature on the birth certificate confirmed the truth of a lifelong hidden secret child. Elaine maintained contact with these half-sisters & they have enriched each other’s lives*******
Baby Girl Bluemly became Elaine Elizabeth Koski Stoddard & was loved by All of her families both natural, chosen, & those of the family of God. What an adventurous, twisty, joyful, unexpected, godly, loving, and fulfilled Life!*******

Seems when it rains it pours.
We just got back from the vet with TWO of my pony mares.
My Welsh cob mare had a sharp tooth cutting her cheek and the spot abscessed. The vet filed off the sharp spot and she will be on antibiotics for 2 weeks and then be fine.
My older Shetland mare was a lot worse. The vet thought via X-rays she might have bone cancer in her face. We breathed a huge sigh of relief when it turned out she had not one but TWO loose teeth that allowed a massive abscess to form. It was bigger than my fist.
He spent close to an hour removing one tooth that had the roots growing sideways. The second, adjacent tooth came out a lot faster. He had a lot of trouble because she is so small his extractors would not grip the tooth properly so he had to loosen the tooth with his hand first. He then punchered the abscess top and bottom and flushed with a mix of Betadine & sterile saline.
Both mares are now home and we have two weeks of care and then a second visit to the vet to see how everything has healed.
So my mares look like they are better off than poor Solas after their vet visits.
Oh my goodness Gail that’s intense. Glad you could get them help & really hope the healing process is uncomplicated! Hang in there!
The vet saying he thought it was advanced cancer just about had me in tears. She is one of my nicest ponies and a real favorite with the kids.
