As a weird side note, The Yeoman of the Guard is pretty much the only G&S operetta I have not seen (although The Fiancee has, in London).
The standard underpinning of drama is that you have a situation, into which an irritant is inserted. If the situation absorbs the irritant, there is a marriage at the end and you have a comedy. If the conflict is resolved by someone dying, you have a tragedy.
Yeoman ends with someone dying….and I have not gotten around to seeing it.
I’ve seen it. It is somewhat darker in tone than the others, but it does contain a lot of humor as well.
The other “shadowy” one is The Sorcerer (which I have seen).
That one is redeemed by the theory of the alternative, logical ending (popularized by Isaac Asimov, IIRC).
The operetta works around a love charm that (being reputable) only works on the unmarried. It is applied to an entire village with comic effect. At the end, it is removed by removing the Sorcerer, following the tragic path.
Logically, however, it should be removed by everyone getting married, at which point the charm becomes ineffective (and leaving everyone in loveless marriages, possibly followed by mass divorce). Of course, this would have been scandalous for the times, so they went with the Sorcerer’s demise instead.
Obviously, it’s base-ick.

I read somewhere not too long ago that, because Satan can’t see the future, and Jesus will return suddenly, Satan can’t “plan” for the Antichrist.
That means that there is always at least one person on Earth at any given time who could “be” the Antichrist. And when the time comes, like when Judas was “entered” by Satan, that person will “become” the Antichrist.

Well, IMO that’s a bunch of mislead. That’s why Christ ordered the Legion demons to go into the swine, who asked Him if He had come for them early.

Well, that’s what I mean. And what the other writer meant. Satan has no idea when Jesus will return. But when he does, the Antichrist has to come. The Antichrist can’t just be born when Satan finds out Jesus is coming back. Lots of us believe the sign of that will be the Rapture. There has to be someone “ready to go” as the Antichrist at all times, because when the Rapture happens, then the Antichrist reigns for seven years. If he had to be “born,” he wouldn’t be ready to do that.
Because Satan doesn’t know the day or the hour, only God knows.
As far as I am concerned Christ walks among us and makes himself known to those who see Him.

I think Pres. Trump is on a mission and that most of what he does is to further that mission. His “NY Queens” personality is given to boasting anyway, and then he also uses it for political reasons. The mainstream media won’t give him credit for his accomplishments, and sometimes the alternative media is either not aware or is more focused on something else.
He has never represented himself as deity, only as a very smart leader who gets things done. He acknowledges God and His working in our lives, including in saving his own life so he can continue his mission. He has a monumentally difficult task to restore America, and he is doing things that IMO no one else could do at this time. I think that, as one of the most consequential leaders since America’s founding, he has a right to tout his accomplishments and that it is even necessary to make people aware and to continue to highlight the differences between MAGA and the Left.

No prayer can be acceptable before God which is not offered in the strength of our Redeemer or Divine Kinsman, through Him who took our nature upon him, that he might redeem us unto God, and restore the long-lost inheritance. May our hearts be much affected with the excellence of the word of God; and much affected with the evil of sin, and the danger we are in of it, and the danger we are in by it.

Diligent was investigating Jeffrey Epstein’s Zorro Ranch, when he came across a very familiar name: Don Huffines. Huffines ran for TX Governor in 2022, who Massie endorsed, & is currently a candidate for TX Comptroller. Huffines is also is a Rand Paul megadonor & has donated to Massie’s campaign in the past, as well. Massie & Huffines are friends.
Zorro Ranch, now known as San Rafael Ranch as of 2023, was where a majority of Epstein’s trafficking, abuse & experimentations unfolded. It’s also said in the files that there were several young girls buried on the property, who died due to the extreme abuse inflicted on them. But for some reason, it was never raided by the FBI after Epstein’s arrest.
For years prior to his arrest, Epstein was boasting to top scientists that this ranch was being used as a baby factory. The current owner, who purchased this property for some reason, owns HEST (Huffines Enterprises Science & Technology). HEST is an investor in Secretome, a biotech company that uses cardiac cells from the hearts of babies under 30 days old. Interesting.
Back to Diligent, he messaged Massie this information, & the way Massie responded was deeply shocking to him: “My jaw hit the floor. The response I got from Massie when I showed him who owned the ranch, made my heart sink to my stomach.” He continued, “Because I am [investigating Zorro Ranch’s current owner], [Thomas Massie] doesn’t even want to be associated with me. He f*cking unfollowed me for covering this story.”
Now why would someone who is on a very public crusade to get the Epstein Files released, unfollow a journalist for investigating Zorro Ranch & its new owner? You’d think he’d be grateful for the tip. Furthermore, why would Mr. Principles want to discourage a journalist from investigating his friend?
As stated earlier in this post, Thomas Massie is a friend of Don Huffines. He endorsed Huffines’ Gubernatorial run in 2022 (receipts in the replies), had Massie visit him for a few days in TX in April 2024, & has been a Rand Paul Megadonor for years.
Thomas Massie’s outrage over Epstein is very selective. His associates & donors get a pass, but anyone else either remotely associated with Trump, or having possible ties to the Super PAC formed to take him down (MAGA KY), is being relentlessly targeted by him. This is all about his campaign.
If Massie had nothing to hide, he would have welcomed Diligent’s information. Perhaps, put him in touch with Huffines to give his side of the story. Instead, he shut it down by telling Diligent that he’s barking up the wrong tree.
For someone that says he wants everything out there about the Epstein Files, you’d think he’d want to bark up every single tree for answers, but I guess when someone gives tens of thousands to his best friend, that someone becomes off-limits.

I want to make some comments since horse-ignorant people often buy ponies for their kids.
First, the state of this little guy’s hooves is why I learned how to pull a shoe off a hoof and do emergency trimming. A blacksmith is NOT cheap! It ranges from $30 to $70 just for a trim (every 6 to 8 weeks) Therefore if you are on a budget, doing every other trimming can save you a lot of money. (Or if your black smith suddenly dies and you can get no one else. BTDT horse bowed a tendon as a result and was lame for a year.)
Second, the rain-rot (the reason the pony was clipped and given a bath) is a typical headache for ponies where the winter is mild and moist. I use a beta-dine scrub/shampoo mix each spring to bath my ponies as soon as it gets warm.
Third, the fact the pony was friendly tells me the former owners were ignorant and not nasty. Quite possibly they were elderly. A physically mistreated pony does not act like this one did.
And finally, THERE IS NO WAY I WOULD TURN THAT PONY OUT ON GRASS!!! I have a major problem with that part of the video. Allowing the pony a few minutes to MAX a 1/2 hour of hand grazing would be OK, however if the animal had not been on grass for ages, turning him out on that lush grass could be a death sentence.

You would think progressives would be pleased. The planned mega-centers will include medical care, dental, recreation areas, law libraries, courtroom space, cafeterias, and scheduled phone calls. Which, to be honest, is more amenities than a freshman college dorm.
To give you a sense of the scale: ICE is currently holding about 75,000 people, up from 40,000 when President Trump took office a year ago. The new target is 92,600. Last week, ICE Director Todd Lyons told the Senate Homeland Security Committee that 1.6 million illegal aliens have final deportation orders— of whom half, roughly 800,000, have criminal convictions. That’s 800,000 convicted criminals, outward bound.
Meanwhile, twelve thousand new ICE officers are coming online to help process them all.
But the buried story that corporate media seems to miss is that this obviously isn’t a plan to handle a temporary surge. You don’t spend $38.3 billion building eight mega-centers that each hold 10,000 people, sixteen regional processing sites, and a standardized, “scalable” nationwide detention network just to round up a few busloads of criminal aliens and call it a day.
The memo itself calls this ICE’s “long-term detention solution.” Long-term. The infrastructure is designed to be operational by November 2026 — and that’s when it will start operating. They’re hiring 12,000 new agents to fill it out. They’re buying million-square-foot warehouses across seven states— and still shopping for more.
In other words, this memo reads less like an emergency response and more like the blueprints for a permanent deportation pipeline— an industrial-scale system designed to process 1.6 million people with final deportation orders (half of whom have criminal convictions) and then keep running for whoever and whatever comes next.
The Trump administration isn’t just catching up on a backlog. They’re clearly building a massive, multi-armed deportation machine that can actually handle 20 to 40 million illegal immigrants— by making mass deportation a routine government function rather than a political slogan. Critics who sneered that it was too late, that it would be impossible to deport 40 million illegals, are looking at how President Trump could actually deliver on his promises.
Once again, President Trump thought bigger —less modestly— and saw possibilities nobody else did. More promises kept.

Oh yes!! I have looked it up, Cthulhu! It’s about first numbers and they are predominantly ones so if you see numbers starting with a nine, it might be a clue of issues. I am letting Grok help me learn all these things.
I think of this as practice. Cleaning up all this corruption is a forerunner to cleaning up what happened during the Covid scam. Friday, I attended the funeral of an aunt and got to see more of my extended family. One cousin’s husband got put on a ventilator during the pre-vaccine days of the plandemic. He survived after a couple of months on a ventilator. They terrified his wife into allowing them to do that to him, claiming he was “combative.” I remember calling the hospital to check on him since they would not let his wife even see him. Such a huge mess of lies and intimidation.
Another younger cousin was not so lucky. They sent him home and did not help when he thought he had Covid. When he came back, they put him on a ventilator and he died. That was in Florida.
Will we ever get justice for all those hurt and murdered due to all the medical malpractice and lies?

Benford’s law is about the distribution of leading digits. If you find atypical distributions, you can find out if data was omitted. For instance, if you check numbers against the Benford’s Law curve and find that fewer than expected numbers start with 4 or 5, then someone has cut a block of data out of the middle.

On Friday, I attended the funeral of an aunt and saw several relations. Such a blessing. Two very important people to me are my cousin (she is also my god sister) and her husband.
I had looked forward to seeing them since her DH was put in a coma on a ventilator before we had the vaccine. He survived, but it was such an ugly thing done to them both. Terrifying her, she let them put him into a coma and put him on a ventilator for two months.
The rehab after was not easy either. We are so blessed he survived. The first thing I probably said to him was “Mr. Bear Hug” since he always gave such nice hugs in the past. I got another super Bear Hug and fortunately did not get too deep into the subject.
Another cousin lost her son in FL because the ER sent him home and said come back if it gets worse. They gave him nothing to help at that time. When it got worse and he went back, they put him on a ventilator and he died.
Sunday, we get the substack article about the HHS medicaid data. I am chewing on that and trying to help even in some small way. I have also been talking to God and do feel that this is how I should spend my time even if many are so much better at analysis than me. I am older and slower so I’m pacing myself. Learn some, rest.
