At one time, DePat handled FOUR daily open threads here, in addition to taking care of her relatives, choir duties, and numerous other responsibilities. She was a powerhouse – a dynamo – a true force of nature.
DePat’s faith in Trump, Q, “The Plan”, the White Hats, and “the anons” in general, was legendary. Although I didn’t always agree with her quick acceptance of some sketchier evidence and fringier theories, I will gladly admit to “coming around” to numerous so-called “conspiracy theories” which she championed first. I was always careful to give her credit for being right, too, when I had been wrong.
It is impossible to overstate how much DePat did for not only this site, but for her country. I urge all to say a quick prayer of thanks, whenever you think of her, for the privilege of knowing, in life or after death, such an exemplary human being, and lover of God.
And thank you, Susie, for the firm foundation which you left us, when you were called to your true home!

At least in Colorado – and I’m guessing many other states – even our local school board elections attract $$$ millions from outside PACS, indiviuals and even foreign money. There isn’t any level of elections untainted by outside forces.
Our state legislature has been compromised for decades. I’m pretty sure many other states are in a similar situation. I am confused every time someone suggests what you’re suggesting because no one explains WHY that is preferable. I’m open to being educated 🙃
Ok. Scenario:
I am a citizen of Montana. I am very unhappy with my current Senators (I’m not; but for this example, say I am).
The voters of Montana elected them. Who do I pressure to make a change? Five hundred thousand voters? Or my local Representative?
See the difference? It makes it so that there is a more direct and personal way to influence the political situation.
Recent real life example:
A city council in Montana decided to vote to no longer cooperate with ICE, which is not really a thing you can do in Montana, but the law is a little vague, so they gave it a shot.
I read about, and called my Representative. Since Montana’s legislature only meets every other year, he told me he would work to strengthen the law at that time. I protested that plan vociferously. I told him that with one city doing it, by next February it would be endemic in Montana for towns not to cooperate with all kinds of federal law.
Within two weeks, the Governor had held that city council to account, and they recanted their vote.
The more directly we are able to contact people in government, the more we are able to influence what they do. It matters.

For me, My Senator (Burr) saw that I was essentially banned from the internet. This was back in 2015. All my comments went to trash according to Jo Nova and Chiefio. I also was banned from Disqus (Via Breitbart & American Stinker) and my e-mails would not even go to Hubby!

When it comes to the issues that they care about it is egocentric. They care about things that affect their personal lives like the cost of living, and other things that affect their families. Crime statistics, unemployment, etc., are only interesting as it directly relates to how they live their lives. The big issues will always be the cost of goods, and quality of life. That is why affordability is such a universal hook. Repubs should concentrate on those issues. Most voters will not consider data centers and AI concerning until and unless it affects them directly. What resonates is, as the Capitol One commercial endlessly says, “What’s in your wallet?”. I think a study would validate my opinion.
I’m too lazy to research a study, but I did remember an adage from actual politics, that “people vote their pocketbook.” That will have to do for now!

As for the “cryptic signals” in the title, maybe, and maybe not. People here are so dialed in that this doesn’t seem cryptic to me. I think someone who is less aware would probably not see signals at all.
My opinion: My third-to-last paragraph here, that starts with “6:45,” is what is happening. I think PDJT is indicating that he has never stopped fighting and that he is orchestrating things as promised. The fact that he is communicating with us is exciting; but I do not see anything ominous, mysterious, or cryptic in his stating he would announce something the following day, or in his launching a website. It is merely progress being made, through SI (AI), in communications and in the presentation of information. I do think the idea that it is all part of the master plan is encouraging, reassuring, and inspiring to persevere.

COMMENTARY FOR 2 PETER 3
The design here is to remind of Christ’s final coming to judgement. (1-4) He will appear unexpectedly, when the present frame of nature will be dissolved by fire. (5-10) From thence is inferred the need for holiness, and stedfastness in the faith. (11-18)
1-4 The purified minds of Christians are to be stirred up, that they may be active and lively in the work of holiness. There will be scoffers in the last days, under the gospel, men who make light of sin, and mock at salvation by Jesus Christ. One very principal article of our faith refers to what only has a promise to rest upon, and scoffers will attack it till our Lord is come. They will not believe that he will come. Because they see no changes, therefore they fear not God, #Ps 55:19|. What he never has done, they fancy he never can do, or never will do.
5-10 Had these scoffers considered the dreadful vengeance with which God swept away a whole world of ungodly men at once, surely they would not have scoffed at his threatening an equally terrible judgment. The heavens and the earth which now are, by the same word, it is declared, will be destroyed by fire. This is as sure to come, as the truth and the power of God can make it. Christians are here taught and established in the truth of the coming of the Lord. Though, in the account of men, there is a vast difference between one day and a thousand years, yet, in the account of God, there is no difference. All things past, present, and future, are ever before him: the delay of a thousand years cannot be so much to him, as putting off any thing for a day or for an hour is to us. If men have no knowledge or belief of the eternal God, they will be very apt to think him such as themselves. How hard is it to form any thoughts of eternity! What men count slackness, is long-suffering, and that to us-ward; it is giving more time to hisown people, to advance in knowledge and holiness, and in the exercise of faith and patience, to abound in good works, doing and suffering what they are called to, that they may bring glory to God. Settle therefore in your hearts that you shall certainly be called to give an account of all things done in the body, whether good or evil. And let a humble and diligent walking before God, and a frequent judging of yourselves, show a firm belief of the future judgment, though many live as if they were never to give any account at all. What will become of us, if we set our affections on this earth, and make it our portion, seeing all these things shall be burned up? Therefore make sure of happiness beyond this visible world.
11-18 From the doctrine of Christ’s second coming, we are exhorted to purity and godliness. This is the effect of real knowledge. Very exact and universal holiness is enjoined, not resting in any low measure or degree. True Christians look for new heavens and a new earth; freed from the vanity to which things present are subject, and the sin they are polluted with. Those only who are clothed with the righteousness of Christ, and sanctified by the Holy Ghost, shall be admitted to dwell in this holy place. He is faithful, who has promised. Those, whose sins are pardoned, and their peace made with God, are the only safe and happy people; therefore follow after peace, and that with all men; follow after holiness as well as peace. Never expect to be found at that day of God in peace, if you are lazy and idle in this your day, in which we must finish the work given us to do. But there must be self-denial and suspicion of ourselves, and submission to the authority of Christ Jesus, before we can heartily receive all the truths of the gospel, therefore we are in great danger of rejecting the truth. And whatever opinions and thoughts of men are not according to the law of God, and warranted by it, the believer disclaims and abhors. Those who are led away by error, fall from their own stedfastness. And that we may avoid being led away, we must seek to grow in all grace, in faith, and virtue, and knowledge. Labour to know Christ more clearly, and more fully; to know him so as to be more like him, and to love him better. This is the knowledge of Christ, which the apostle Paul reached after, and desired to attain; and those who taste this effect of the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, will, upon receiving such grace from him, give thanks and praise him, and join in ascribing glory to him now, in the full assurance of doing the same hereafter, for ever.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. The process of rapid deportation will continue while the matter is called before the Supreme Court for oral arguments in December (ruling in ’27).

REUTERS – […] The Supreme Court previously sided with the administration in the legal challenge, suspending a preliminary order that Murphy issued earlier in the case halting the removals. In another win for the administration, the Supreme Court subsequently lifted limits the judge had imposed to protect a group of men from being sent to South Sudan.
The case began in 2025 after the Department of Homeland Security moved to step up deportations of migrants who cannot be returned to any country listed on their deportation orders.
The policy provided that migrants could be swiftly removed without notice to third countries that have provided credible diplomatic assurance that they will not persecute or torture the individuals. For countries that have not provided such assurance, deportees would be notified of their destination and US authorities would assess the likelihood of persecution or torture only if the individual raises such fear on their own.
Immigrant rights groups filed a class-action lawsuit on behalf of a group of migrants seeking to prevent their removal to third countries without notice and a chance to assert the harms they could face.
In February, Murphy ruled that the policy violates immigration law procedures and due process protections under the US Constitution’s Fifth Amendment. Due process generally requires the government to provide notice and an opportunity for a hearing before taking certain adverse actions.
In an emergency filing to the Supreme Court, the Justice Department said third-country deportations are “an essential tool to remove certain aliens, including some of the worst criminal aliens.”
But both Murphy and critics of the administration said the policy is also targeting migrants who had been granted legal protection from being sent back to their home countries.

This is HIGHLY discriminatory towards women, who are the most likely to seek that degree.

Trump wants to compare her earnings after graduating to some dude working as a day laborer with a high school diploma, and use that comparison to not give her financial aid.
This is one of the most stupid things I’ve ever seen in my life.
And the religious studies cut is beyond the pale. Most pastors don’t get rich in money, but they have more wealth than Donald Trump has ever had, or will ever have.
Your grand will be able to earn a living IN HER FIELD. Those Harvard 4 yr degrees I listed are not useful outside of academia.
Why should those misguided kids get stuck with a loan (4 yr on campus is $120K) they can not easily repay as a Walmart cashier or Starbucks waitress?
Sure, she will. But she’s unlikely to make as much as quite a few other fields, which is the comparison Trump is using to cut federal aid money.
If her “field” doesn’t earn as much at the four-year mark as the high school grad, then it gets cut. And that will compare her earnings as a cosmetologist to a roustabout on an oil rig, an electrical lineworker, or a boilermaker, all things which my dainty, sweet little granddaughter couldn’t possibly do.
I’m over pretending that everything Trump does is smart. This is stupid.
You know, if Trump wants to do something intelligent here, he should cut student aid to degree programs based on the NUMBER OF JOBS AVAILABLE IN THE FIELD.
Instead of how much money they make, how about CAN THEY FIND A JOB when they graduate.

Since you say your granddaughter’s profession earns a lot, it seems this would not affect her.
That’s probably three or four years down the road since I don’t think this takes effect until at least 2027, and then they have to follow the degree programs for several years.
