Sadly, eggplant doesn’t freeze well. It’s only really good fresh.
To freeze it you need to bake it or fry it (using olive oil) then lay the slices on waxed paper to separate them.
I like eggplant Moussaka, which can be eaten cold, so I will make big batches of baked eggplant when the weather is cool and freeze them for later use in the hotter weather. The filling, ground meat & onions can be frozen too & the canned chick peas added when you make the actual dish.
My recipe has no tomatoes or cheese sauce. The spices are 1/3 cinnamon, 1/3 allspice & 1/3 cumin heavily dusted under the last layer of eggplant. It is assembled like a lasagna and then baked like lasagna.
It travels well in a cooler too.
I love moussaka! I make it, too. But I usually make it “complete” and freeze it. It works fine.
I just usually freeze a lot of my veggies, by just blanching them. My Ball Blue Book says I can do it to eggplant, and I have, it’s just not great.
So I agree, pre-cooked before freezing is the way to go.
Moussaka is such a great summer time meal. Veggies and meat all in one and tastes great hot or cold.
I try to buy fresh veggies in the summer and then freeze them. We are lucky to have farms with stands within a few miles.
The guy down the street has plum tomatoes so I make an italian sauce with onions, peppers, celery… and freeze it for use in spaghetti, lasagna, or eggplant parmesan.
I grow pretty much all of mine. I’m so blessed by my garden 🙂

I may have got this wrong but as I understand it the tariffs are import duties on goods coming into the US.
That will mean the “BILLIONS OF DOLLARS” will come from people in the US who buy those goods.
The countries hit by the tariffs will likely notice a drop off in trade to the US as the US consumers stop buying the now more expensive imported products, but the exporting countries will turn to selling their products to the BRICS world.
It may well be that Trumps ultimate objective is to have US manufacturing replace the imported goods, but unless they can match the price of the imported stuff it will still mean higher prices.
This is the problem point:

I don’t know how it all works, but that’s what people have been saying since Pres. Trump first announced his intentions about tariffs. The net effect is expected to be positive or Trump wouldn’t do it. And I do remember his saying that there could be some “pain” at the beginning. But the doomsayers on the Left have turned out to be wrong so far.
That is the conventional wisdom but it ain’t quite right.
Why not?
Because it rests on the speculative assumption that the tariffed imports are the only source of the product. There might be other sources, plus those goods might be in process of onshoring in which DJT might well suspend tariffs because they’re trying to do the right thing.
Most of all, market share might be more important than profit margin. In that case, a seller might well eat the tariffs rather than add it like a surcharge.

“David praises God for protecting his people. (1-10) And for cause to praise him. (11-20)
(1-10) If we would praise God acceptably, we must praise him in sincerity, with our whole heart. When we give thanks for some one particular mercy, we should remember former mercies. Our joy must not be in the gift, so much as in the Giver. The triumphs of the Redeemer ought to be the triumphs of the redeemed. The almighty power of God is that which the strongest and stoutest of his enemies are no way able to stand before. We are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth, and that with him there is no unrighteousness. His people may, by faith, flee to him as their Refuge, and may depend on his power and promise for their safety, so that no real hurt shall be done to them. Those who know him to be a God of truth and faithfulness, will rejoice in his word of promise, and rest upon that. Those who know him to be an everlasting Father, will trust him with their souls as their main care, and trust in him at all times, even to the end; and by constant care seek to approve themselves to him in the whole course of their lives. WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

If they have been bitten by the ‘Gentle Parenting’ bug and the kids are hellions she figures the chances of teaching the people how to handle their dog is not likely to succeed.

There dog killed all the chickens of my very ill neighbor. So they were told by his nephew to keep their dog leashed because in NC it is legal to shoot a killer dog that is on your property.
They retaliated by stealing his horse (very lame with founder) took it 22 miles away and then called the cops and reported him for mistreating the animal. So now he has lost his horse.

It’s jaw dropping absolutely! I hope whoever owns this breed is good to them they’re bred to be so totally awesome physically, and mentally that it’s imperative their owners are absolutely good brave-hearted humans.
And that they have the time and energy to put into the dogs.
Because I boarded my horses and they were stall bound, I had to make sure they got at least a couple hours of exercise under saddle every day. That was esp true of my retired race horse. He HAD to get exercised every day or he would just about kill me.
I do not see many people having that type of time or dedication to put into a dog. Some do but it is the subset that hunts with dogs, shows them, trains herding dogs….
I love horses they’re beautiful. I’ve never rode one, given my physical prowess I’d need a Shetland (I’m kind of short lol)

I have 8 Shetlands. The ones I have had since they were young and trained myself are wonderful.

Some I have trained to pull a cart. Hubby and I used to drive a pair to an old buggy. I replaced the single horse shafts with a pony pole. They had zero problem pulling two adults.

His girlfriend’s frantic 911 call had brought the cavalry, but not before Edward’s head encountered the pavement hard enough to leave him concussed. EMS treated him on scene for multiple facial lacerations, a black eye the size of a shooter marble, and a clear concussion, the kind that makes your ears ring and your balance lie to you in soft, unintelligible whispers. My ordeal is the beginning hopefully towards healing ( stabilizing).
Was able to see the doc yesterday need more test and wear a heart monitor. God two meds to help strengthen the heart. In three months make decisions depending if my situation improved. My heart valve might be clamped and or a pacemaker.
I can exerciser so not to much coddling its ok with me.

Hear me out. Trump is hinting that he wants to use the National Guard to stop the crime in DC and secure the Capitol. This comes at the same time that he is investigating the Deep State cabal and a grand jury is being impaneled. What if those two things are connected? If Trump is actually going to follow through on high-profile arrests, he is going to need control of DC. He will need complete security to pull off arrests, military presence would give him the ability to mask movement of high-profile targets, and he will need the National Guard in place preemptively to shut down any riots or uprisings, because the public will likely be outraged if certain high-profile individuals are arrested. If there is going to be a “corruption purge” here in the US, similar to the one in Saudi Arabia in 2017, Trump taking federal/military control over DC would be necessary. Food for thought.
The problem is the D.C. jury pool consists of only D-rats.
