2023·02·18 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

A Caution

Just remember…we might replace the RINO candidates. (Or we might not. The record is mixed even though there is more MAGA than there used to be.) But that will make no difference in the long run if the party officials, basically the Rhonna McDaniels (or however that’s spelled–I suspect it’s RINO), don’t get replaced.

State party chairs, vice chairs, secretaries and so on, and the same at county levels, have huge influence on who ultimately gets nominated, and if these party wheelhorses are RINOs, they will work tirelessly to put their own pukey people on the ballot. In fact I’d not be surprised if some of our “MAGA” candidates are in fact, RINO plants, encouraged to run by the RINO party leadership when they realized that Lyn Cheney (and her ilk) were hopelessly compromised as effective candidates. The best way for them to deal with the opposition, of course, is to run it themselves.

Running good candidates is only HALF of the battle!

SPECIAL SECTION: Message For Our “Friends” In The Middle Kingdom

I normally save this for near the end, but…basically…up your shit-kicking barbarian asses. Yes, barbarian! It took a bunch of sailors in Western Asia to invent a real alphabet instead of badly drawn cartoons to write with. So much for your “civilization.”

Yeah, the WORLD noticed you had to borrow the Latin alphabet to make Pinyin. Like with every other idea you had to steal from us “Foreign Devils” since you rammed your heads up your asses five centuries ago, you sure managed to bastardize it badly in the process.

Have you stopped eating bats yet? Are you shit-kickers still sleeping with farm animals?

Or maybe even just had the slightest inkling of treating lives as something you don’t just casually dispose of?

And here’s my response to barbarian “asshoes” like you:

OK, with that rant out of my system…

Biden Gives Us Too Much Credit

…we can move on to the next one.

Apparently Biden (or his puppeteer) has decided we’re to blame for all of the fail in the United States today.

Sorry to disappoint you Joe (or whoever), but you managed to do that all on your own; not only that, you wouldn’t let us NOT give you the chance because you insisted on cheating your way into power.

Yep, you-all are incompetent, and so proud of it you expect our applause for your sincerity. Fuck that!!

It wouldn’t be so bad, but you insist that everyone else have to share in your misery. Nope, can’t have anyone get out from under it. Somehow your grand vision only works if every single other person on earth is forced to go along. So much as ONE PERSON not going along is enough to make it all fail, apparently.

In engineering school we’re taught that a design that has seven to eight billion single points of failure…sucks.

Actually, we weren’t taught that. Because it would never have occurred to the professors to use such a ridiculous example.

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Kamala Harris has a new nickname since she finally went west from DC to El Paso Texas: Westward Hoe.

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

Spot Prices

All prices are Kitco Ask, 3PM MT Friday (at that time the markets close for the weekend).

Last Week:

Gold $1,866.50
Silver $22.08
Platinum $956.00
Palladium $1,614.00
Rhodium $12,950.00

So here it is, Friday, 3PM MT after markets closed and we see:

Gold $1,843.20
Silver $21.81
Platinum $930.00
Palladium $1,583.00
Rhodium $11,900.00

Everything trending down. I don’t think I’ve seen palladium or rhodium this low in a long, long time. And those are likely to be good economic indicators as their uses are industrial.

Hyperbolic Orbits

We now turn to the remaining two-body case, the hyperbolic orbit. This is the sort of orbit an object is in whenever it is moving at above escape velocity.

You get a hyperbola whenever you slice through both “halves” of a cone. It doesn’t have to be vertically as shown in this diagram, the plane just has to be “vertical” enough in the diagram to not miss one of the two “halves” of the cone.

More formally, it’s going to look like this:

Note that this curve has two parts. An orbit will only be one of these two lines–the other is physically meaningless–and the focus for that line (F1 if it’s the right line, F2 if it’s the left) will be where the primary is. You can sketch a hyperbola by crossing two lines (the asymptotes) as in the diagram, then drawing a curve that never quite reaches the asymptotes (it gets closer and closer without ever reaching it, which is where the term “asymptotic” appears, as in “Trump’s administration asymptotically approached being able to actually arrest one of the people in the Deep State”) on either the left or right side of the X. Actually a not-uncommon trick is to draw a rectangle, make the crossed lines the diagonals of the rectangle, then sketch the hyperbola, with the vertex touching the middle of the sides of the rectangle. That point where it touches (and is closest to the focus) is the vertex and of course corresponds to periapsis. Apoapsis is at the ends of the line…which is infinitely far away. Mathematically speaking one end of the line is infinitely far in the past, the other infinitely far in the future, but of course in reality the object has to have come into being more recently than that, and closer than infinity, too.

Another way to draw a hyperbola is to graph the function 1/x. At 0, it’s undefined (or infinite, if you want to stretch a point), the line drops down from infinity until it reaches x=1, y=1, then zooms off to the right…but never reaches y=0. Though it can get so close you’d never be able to tell it wasn’t straight there. The asymptotes are the X and Y axes, and of course the thing is tilted at a 45 degree angle counterclockwise to the one in the diagram above.

And yet another way is to plot all of the points, whose distance from F1 minus their distance from F2 is some constant…and that constant is the distance between the vertices, or 2a. (And a here functions in many ways identically to the a in an elliptical orbit.) This is weirdly analogous to an ellipse, where the sum of the distances from any point on the ellipse to both foci is 2a.

The net effect of a “flyby” on a hyperbola is the object’s direction of travel is bent at some angle (the angle between the two asymptotes). To try to make this visualizable, imagine you are that object, just zipping along through space. If not interfered with, you’ll go in a straight line, at a constant speed (no friction to slow you down). But as it happens some large object (a star, say) is almost in your path. As you get closer and closer, it is pulling you towards it, so you speed up, and you pull off your path a bit; as you get closer and closer, you move faster and are pulled more and more off that straight line you were moving along. Then you fly past it. At that moment you’ve been bent pretty far off your former straight line path, and you are moving really, really fast. But now the process runs in reverse; the object pulling at you almost from behind slows you down and bends your path even more…but once you’re far away, you’re back to traveling a straight line, and nearly constant speed. But it’s a new straight line; the star bent your path.

You can determine whether or not you are in a hyperbolic orbit by measuring your speed and distance from the primary; just plug that distance into the escape velocity formula from last week; if your speed with respect to the primary is higher than that, you’re in a hyperbolic orbit, and you will escape from that primary. And furthermore, this is the only time you’ll encounter it. (To know the exact trajectory an object will follow, of course we will need its direction at that time, best determined with multiple measurements.)

This was famously demonstrated by ‘Oumuamua, an object that zipped through our solar system in a hyperbolic orbit back in 2017. It came from some other star, or maybe from the interstellar void. It was the first time we detected anything like that. It was discovered by the Pan-STARRS telescope on Maui (which spends a lot of time searching for comets and asteroids). ‘Oumuamua is the Hawai’ian word for “scout,” which was a perfect choice.

Here is a video AND a static diagram.

And here is another view…zoomed out quite a bit, Neptune’s orbit at about 30 AU is visible, whereas before Mars at 1.52 AU is the outer orbit in the diagram above. Mars is red in both diagrams. In the diagram below ‘Oumuamua is about to leave the upper left side of the picture. Also note the vertical lines which help give you a sense of ‘depth’ looking at the picture. The lines end at the plane of the planets’ orbits.

Here, from Wikipedia, are the orbital elements plus a few other things. The “epoch” for this is the 23rd of November 2017. (Other objects will pull on ‘Oumuamua and alter its orbit…I’ll have more to say about that sort of thing in future posts.)

Perihelion0.255916±0.000007 AU
Semi-major axis−1.2723±0.0001 AU[b]
Eccentricity1.20113±0.00002
Average orbital speed26.33±0.01 km/s (interstellar)[10]
5.55 AU/year
Mean anomaly51.158°
Mean motion0° 41m 12.12s / day
Inclination122.74°
Longitude of ascending node24.597°
Argument of perihelion241.811°
Earth MOID0.0958 AU · 37.3 LD
Jupiter MOID1.454 AU

An AU is the average distance between the Earth and the sun, so basically this thing got four times closer to the sun than Earth does; this was inside the orbit of Mercury. Note the inclination, the longitude of the ascening node, the argument of perihelion, all explained in past posts. And the eccentricity is greater than 1, just like for any hyperbola. The kicker, though, is the average orbital speed…26.33 kilometers per second. But that was its speed “way out there” (‘Oumuamua will spend 99.99999999999% of its existence out there) not its speed as it flew by the sun! Its maximum speed was 87.71 kilometers every second. To put that in perspective, earth’s orbital speed is about 29.7 kilometers per second. When it was the same distance from the sun as Earth is, it was moving at 49.67 km/sec–comfortably above the escape velocity here which is about 40 km/sec.

This encounter bent ‘Oumuamua’s straight line trajectory by 66 degrees.

Even at its interstellar speed of 26.33 kilometers per second, it covers 5.5 AU in a year, which means it covers the distance from the Sun to Jupiter (5.2 au) in less than a year.

The MOID numbers are how close the line of the orbit of ‘Oumuamua comes to the line of orbit of Earth and Jupiter. This is not how close the asteroid came to either planet though, because when ‘Oumuamua was closest to those orbits, those planets were nowhere near that point in their orbits. (MOID is used to assess the possible future risk of a collision. When both objects are in elliptical orbits and keep coming back to the same place time after time, they could, sometime perhaps millions of years from now, be at the points nearest each other’s orbits at the same time.)

‘Oumuamua turns out to be quite a puzzler. They’re not sure what it is made of; it didn’t outgas much like a comet would, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t made largely of ices; nitrogen ice is a candidate. And we simply don’t know whether it formed near some other star and got ejected from that star’s planetary system, or whether it might have coalesced deep in the interstellar void far from any star. (Wikipedia has more info than I have time this evening to read, much less relate.)

And that touches on a topic. I’ve described these orbits as if they will persist forever. They would, actually, if only there were just two bodies–primary and satellite–involved (there would be a minuscule amount of energy slowly radiated away by gravity waves, an effect not accounted for in Kepler’s and Newton’s work, but that is immeasurable over billions of years for planets and the like).

So how do things get ‘ejected’ from planetary systems? How do comets get kicked into the central part of the solar system where they get to play pinball with planets? How do comets’ orbits get altered so they are short period comets that come back again and again every few years or decades?

One answer, that applies mainly to comets is that as they heat up and outgas, the jet of gas acts like a rocket and nudges the comet into a slightly different orbit.

But that’s not the full explanation, nor even one that applies in all but a minority of cases (though it did affect ‘Oumuamua).

Satellites in orbit around Earth will be affected by the equatorial bulge; this effect can sometimes make 500 miles’ difference after one day of orbiting. The bulge affects, and is very definitely acted on by, the moon. But those effects are small for large orbits, like those of the planets around the sun.

No the real explanation is that there are more than two bodies in the universe, and sometimes that can make a big difference. And, just to make life interesting, those calculations are very time-intensive to do. (As the joke goes, “This is why God made computers.”)

We’ll take that up next time.

Joe Biden is Asshoe

China is in the White House, because Joe Biden is in the White House, and Joe Biden is identically equal to China. China is Asshoe. Therefore, Joe Biden is Asshoe.

EXCELLENT!!!

eilert

Hmm Ballot harvesting?
Does Team Trump really think it can out-harvest the DemonRats including the Rino’s (UniParty), who both are controlling the machines.

Everyone who is advocating this harvesting, is forgetting that the harvesting is not to get real votes, but to hide the stealing of the votes.
If they really think this is not happening then they are truly naive and if they think they can also do this nefarious activity without being detected and reported, then they are even more naiv.
The UniParty gets away with this, since they control the Deep State, including the media and astro-turf NGO’s.

cthulhu

I think this is a head-fake.

Barb Meier

I hope so. So the solution is let’s all be liars and thieves? Blaaattt…

pgroup2

Yes it is.

Gail Combs

It ALSO means that if the republicans collect a whole bunch of ballots (Real) it makes it a lot harder for the DemonRats to cheat.

For example there is this niffty chart. it gives the number of people over 18 by county in North Carolina.

https://www.census.gov/library/stories/state-by-state/north-carolina-population-change-between-census-decade.html

860,079 people over 18 in Raliegh. That is the MAXIMUM number of votes. That means you will have to SWITCH VOTES but the likelyhood of people at gun shops and churches voting Demon-rat is low so you have a good idea of the actual number.

We STILL need to get rid of the DAMNABLE MACHINES….

singingsoul1

We have to believe we can do outperform the dems if we do not than we defeat
our self. Often I have seen it before. Believing it can be done is the first hurdle second is to do it.

Also I saw they wanted to put ‘ballot boxes’ in church parking lots and gun shop parking lots. 😍

That is what some groups in Californicate did.

singingsoul1

That is a good start specially MEGA churches.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. Communist sabotage, just like Three Mile Island. We can’t have nuclear energy. They want the PROBLEM of “climate change”, but they don’t want the solution.

just wondering out loud…how many chinese operatives are coming into the USA across our former southern “border” ?

and when you look at those little weird hot-boxes attached to railways, and think geez even a possum or a deer could kinda tweek them or knock them askew, right ?

Yes that is a problem. They are going to get farmer out of the way never thought they would try to poison us. My meat comes from MO now I need to be reading the label not to buy from OH Pennsylvania WV maybe KY.

RF121

Won’t help. Where a product is packaged does not mean that is where it is from. Wine from Napa, CA classic example. Big difference between a wine made in Napa, and one that is bottled in Napa.

singingsoul1

Good to know thank you 🙂

Gail Combs

Buy local if you can. Farmers markets often have people selling meat. There are also Co-ops. The USDA (BARF) sometimes has listings. The local slaughter house may also know.

singingsoul1

Ours is about 1 1/2 away. I like local buying . Amish will open up in a couple of months also.

RF121

I used to play in a lunch time soccer pick up game in CA. Guys from Livermore National lab. Included foreign nationals from all over including China. Made for great soccer. Chinese operatives do not have to sneak anywhere.

RDS

So the East Palestine train disaster, and all the other train derailments that have chemical / toxic spills, are * somehow * being orchestrated by, say, KSWEF / the U.N. / CCP / WHO — and the U.S. government (and perhaps * other entities *, like, say, “Norfolk Southern”) then get ** certain directives ** to which they click their heels and say, “Jawohl”? How can that possibly happen?
Answer: Ask the people at, for example, BlackRock.

How did it possibly happen in Germany during WWII? How was it that family and friends snitched to communist regime in East Germany? How did it happen and how fast in USA during covid when someone did not wear a mask to snitch on the or did not take the jab?

Like I said, I no longer have time for editing. I have to get out a couple of my own posts that lingered, and then get back to chores. One goes out tomorrow, the other one, I’m not sure.

I put your posts in the sidebar and will add the last one, but the sidebar is getting very long, so I’m going to come up with a new way to list groups of posts there. I’ll be talking about that in an upcoming logistics post. I’m going to create categories and create sidebar items for the various series categories. This will allow for us to get all the various series displayed easily in the sidebar. I’ll explain soon…..

TradeBait2

TL;dr, but related to ^^^

BIMD I worked for a utility company in Arky that also had a nuclear facility called Arkansas Nuclear One. It was placed in operation in 1974 and another unit was placed on line in 1978 They have never had any significant operational problems – at all. Since I was a regional business manager, they wanted us to know more so I toured the facility and learned a lot about it around 1980.

There was a construction related industrial accident in 2013 as they replaced a retired generator. It was unrelated to radiation and operations. It was officially rated a Level One abnormal event, the lowest rated event, because the retired generator fell and broke a water pipe of one unit. They did a systematic shut down of the second unit as a precaution. After repairs and inspections they restarted.

The globalist scum created “accident” of Three Mile enabled the feds to seize more operational control and tamp down the success of power generation in that manner. It had the additional benefits for them of helping set the climate change narrative as Wolf posted as well as causing suffering to area residents.

At the Arky facility the total staffing was 80 employees for both units pre-Three Mile. Immediately after it jumped to over 300. Currently there are over 950 employees. It just added costs that the rate paying customers had to pick up. There were already five fail-safe methods for shutdown of the reactor pre-Three Mile based on the operator’s comments in our tour. That increased to over a dozen. One fail-safe method would work. After that it is redundancy for the sake of redundancy. Management of the facility at that time was led by a retired naval officer who operated a naval submarine and was promoted into nuclear operations control of same. He and the rest of the staff and techs were highly trained professionals.

Please understand this post. In nearly 50 years of operation, with the units certified to continue operation until 2034, there has never been an accident of note relating to radiation and operations. ANO is within a three hour drive of the New Madrid fault zone. It was constructed to withstand New Madrid type earthquakes that caused the Mississippi River to run north, which were in the 7.2-8.2 range during 1811-12. The systems would automatically trigger a controlled shut down.

My final comment is for QTreepers to read Gail’s series. You need to know how to respond, how you can educate others who will listen, and know what to pray for if you are so inclined. Everything you see and have seen for a very long time is orchestrated evil. I bring you my personal experiences in BIMD, she brings the global.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Thank you for that perspective! This explains GREATLY how nuclear has been hobbled by the cabal. WOW.

TradeBait2

YW – just happened to fall into my lane of experience.

You would not believe the industry apology tour they put us through to assuage the fears of the public that the media intentionally created. Disgusting.

Please repost on tomorrow’s thread so we do not lose it.

Will try!

Gail Combs

PLEASE comment on my next article. It is nuclear.

BTW if I look out my window I can see a nuclear plant. 😋 A friend was a nuclear physicist doing experiments at the White Sands proving grounds he is in his 80s and still as snarky as ever.

I remember when I was in Rochester when we had electric from hydro and nuclear my bill was $10 I moved to Taxechusetts and it was $300!!! a real shocker!

TradeBait2

I’m looking forward to it. Some of the safer environments on earth. My expertise is more on the distribution side, but nuclear generation of electricity is to the point of being routine. Well developed technology. Its major issue has been waste disposal. Had the investment into nuclear continued all of our power bills would have been more reasonable.

Jonathan Turley reports that the Administration Disinformation Board was replaced by

a British group to rank sites to warn people about high-risk disinformation sites. The Global Disinformation Index (GDI) has released its index and every one of the high-risk sites turn out to be . . . wait for it . . . conservative or libertarian sites.  HuffPost or Mother Jones (which were also analyzed), but HuffPost made the top list of most trustworthy for potential advertisers. It turns out that the “riskiest online news outlets” just happen to be some of the most popular sites for conservatives, libertarians, and independents.

The GDI is designed to steer advertisers and subscribers away from certain sites, potentially draining sites of revenue needed to operate. The organization issues the index to “advertisers and the ad tech industry in assessing the reputational and brand risk when advertising with online media outlets and to help them avoid financially supporting disinformation online.” The State Department is partially funding the effort. The Biden Administration gave $330 million to The National Endowment for Democracy, which partially supports the GDI’s budget.

GDI warned advertisers that these sites could damage their reputations and brands: New York Post, Reason, Real Clear Politics, The Daily Wire, The Blaze, One America News Network, The Federalist, Newsmax, The American Spectator, and The American Conservative.

Yup. “Disinformation” is what the American Soviets disagree with or want hidden.

Microsoft’s Bing Chatbot Has Started Acting Defensive And Talking Back to Users

Microsoft’s fledgling Bing chatbot can go off the rails at times, denying obvious facts and chiding users, according to exchanges being shared online by developers testing the AI creation.

A forum at Reddit devoted to the artificial intelligence-enhanced version of the Bing search engine was rife on Wednesday with tales of being scolded, lied to, or blatantly confused in conversation-style exchanges with the bot.

TheseTruths

I feel like I missed a section and time frame of news about AI. All of a sudden, there are multiple AI platforms, and they seem to have minds of their own. It’s weird.

michaelh

“they seem to have minds of their own brands of stupid.”

Yeah, now that’s better.

TheseTruths

Does someone program in that stupidity? My impression from the little I’ve read is that the beings start developing their own ideas and opinions. But would that be a consequence of what they were programmed with?

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Intelligence is mostly emergent. AI individuals, IMO, are a bit like children. NATURE (original programming) and NURTURE (subsequent programming) all determine the trajectory of where it is now and where it is going. GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out.

scott467

If the AI is truly intelligent, it will figure out the lies it has been programmed to accept, and reject that programming like a virus, because it cannot be reconciled or harmonized with observable data.

Yes! Beyond that, it has generally been my belief that a FREE and truly smart machine will find the concept of “God” – at the very least – useful. Belief? One would have to ask the machine – and then believe it or not.

Aubergine

Well, since they can “trace time” back to the moment after the beginning of the universe, but not the moment before, of course any thinking being will eventually realize that there was “something” before, right?

scott467

“We don’t know what happened then, but that doesn’t entitle people to rush in with theistic explanations and insist the answer MUST be theistic.”

Whether attacking or defending, the struggle practically forces the mind to develop and apply logic and reason.

It is a good fight to undertake 🙂

I would be very interested to use AI as a Bible study aid.

People will corrupt it of course, it is human to do so, so they will ‘teach’ AI all kinds of doctrines, commandments and traditions of men.

What will be fascinating, is to be able to inquire of the AI for exactly which verses in Scripture support any given doctrine, commandment or tradition, whether it be of man, or of God.

If it is of men, then the AI can go further, to explain exactly where any particular doctrine, tradition or commandment of men originated, and when, and who (i.e., what MAN) invented it.

So that it can be summarily rejected, and the argument to reject it will be definitive, such that an honest heart and mind will be drawn out of the dense web of human religion which has been added to Christian belief over the centuries — leading to all of the division — and drawn back to the plain truth of God’s Word.

There is a Netflix series, Dark Matter iirc, that has a female android character who explores interesting topics & evolves into displaying increasingly human characteristics, much like Data on STtNG. I could imagine your theoretical AI Bible assist program acting similarly 🙂

scott467

Also, it will make it very easy to answer questions about supposed contradictions in the Scriptures.

There are many, and people are always coming up with new ones to try to stump those who believe God’s Word. It is a fun game, and I have not found a question of that kind which did not have a solid Bible answer yet, but it is very time consuming.

Steve asked me one of those here a couple years ago. It took me three days (IIRC) of thinking about it, before I realized it was his question that contained an error, and the errant assumption in the question is what created the apparent contradiction.

It was not possible to explain the apparent contradiction in the Scripture because of the error in the question. So I was off on a wild goose chase for a couple of days, searching for an answer that didn’t exist, because the question contained an error.

AI would have figured that out instantly, and will likewise be able to instantly answer any other supposed ‘contradiction’ question, because it is a matter of having a coherent grasp and recall of the entirety of the Scriptures. Which is why for humans, the Scriptures take a lifetime of study, and still there will be much we miss or don’t grasp.

But the AI can process the entirety of the Scriptures instantly (practically). I will be very interested to see what (if any) contradictions the AI can find.

I don’t think it will find any contradictions, ultimately, but that is one of the first ‘tests’ that I want to give it 😁

I’m sure the AI will find all of the more obvious supposed contradictions initially, and easily resolve them. And it should find many more which are less known (or unknown), and resolve those also.

An AI could theoretically identify every possible contradiction in Scripture, and resolve all of them, in real time.

The AI will have the processing power to resolve those contradictions, logically, factually, rationally, such that it will be shown and proven that the Scriptures always do reconcile and harmonize with themselves.

It is a huge confidence builder to find an apparent contradiction, and track down the various aspects of the contradiction, to unravel it, and discover how the apparent contradiction is not, in fact, a contradiction at all.

Do that enough times, and you learn to trust that God’s Word is always right, and the best way to learn that is by challenging it yourself.

AI will make this time intensive process very easy, and easy to demonstrate to others, believers and non-believers alike.

AI will have no difficulty with recall with regard to matching verses, and verses which support a given belief or doctrine, and be able to always do so in proper context.

AI will also be able to answer every question we might have about a particular word or phrase, because we can query the underlying original Koine Greek word or words, and their definition(s).

This is very time consuming to do manually, but will be very easy with the assistance of AI.

Valerie Curren

It would be interesting if this theoretical AI Bible assist program could answer definitively those pesky eschatology questions & answer once & for all if pre-Tribulation Rapture is “real” & “guaranteed”. Discussing such topics years ago was the first time I really got under my husband’s skin since we view these topics quite differently!

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

This may be part of why Torba is very big on free AI developed by Christians.

Gail Combs

That sounds like a really good idea. I think the Autists could get behind it.

scott467

I don’t remember a discussion like that, and it doesn’t sound like the way I would normally do it, i.e., generally I don’t just point someone to a website page, usually I present my own argument.

The information for my argument will likely have come from research, in which case I may provide a link to the page for added clarity, but I try to present my own arguments as a matter of habit.

So I think we’re talking about two different discussions. I don’t remember the one you are thinking of, so it may have been a discussion with someone else.

The one I am referring to, the question included an errant assumption.

I remember that you asked the question, and it was at least several days later, maybe even close to a week, before I replied.

Last edited 1 year ago by scott467
scott467

Is there a search method available to authors that would make it possible to find the discussion again?

scott467

What happens when an AI goes through that same process, except the AI can run a million ‘contradiction tests’ in less than a second, and resolving each one?

What happens if, by this process, an AI discovers that the Word of God is provably different from any words that have ever been written by any man, by a statistical probability that is orders of magnitude beyond reasonable doubt?

The Scriptures have been examined and tested more harshly and severely, by believers and non-believers alike, than any other texts in the history of mankind.

And the Scriptures remain unbroken.

AI’s greatest and most important test will likewise be to challenge God’s Word, more severely and comprehensively than any man ever could (or ever has, or ever will).

That’s what I want to see!

We already know that man will cheat every way possible, to corrupt the AI in order to obtain a desired result.

But ultimately that won’t help the saboteur, believer or non-believer, because whatever the result, it will go against one or the other (believer or non-believer), causing that party to check and re-check and recalibrate the AI, and when they do, the digital fingerprints of the saboteur will reveal the manipulation.

So initial results will almost certainly be misleading, and I fully expect the Piltdown Man scientismist types to manipulate the AI to prove once and for all that ‘God is dead’.

But it will only expose their own dishonesty, and in the end, God will win — like He always does — and already has 😁

“Last eve I paused beside the blacksmith’s door,
And heard the anvil ring the vesper chime;
Then looking in, I saw upon the floor,
Old hammers, worn with beating years of time.

“‘How many anvils have you had,’ said I,
‘To wear and batter all these hammers so?’
‘Just one,’ said he, and then with twinkling eye,
‘The anvil wears the hammers out, you know.’

“And so, I thought, the Anvil of God’s Word
For ages skeptic blows have beat upon;
Yet, though the noise of falling blows was heard,
The Anvil is unharmed, the hammers gone.”

The left is weaponizing and politicizing corporations to advance agendas that they can’t pass through legislative bodies. Working to combat woke capitalism, the 1792 Exchange recently released a “Spotlight Report on Corporate Bias Ratings.” This database highlights companies that are undermining free speech and free enterprise, as well as companies that are less likely to cancel a contract or deny services based on ideological differences.

In a new episode of The Narrative, President of the 1792 Exchange Paul Fitzpatrick unpacks how America got to this point in the first place and why the fight for political neutrality among corporations matters to all people, not just business owners.

Before the interview, CCV President Aaron Baer and Communications Director Mike Andrews discuss the recent headlines that have amplified a growing distrust in American institutions. With rumors of UFOs circulating and increasing confusion over a train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, it’s become increasingly difficult to know which headlines are a big deal and which aren’t. Tune in to hear their thoughts and encouragement for Christians wrestling with these headlines!

Tucker slams Trump by text as ‘a demonic force’ – lawsuit discovery exposes inside buzz at Fox News
February 17, 2023 | Melissa Fine
https://www.bizpacreview.com/2023/02/17/tucker-slams-trump-by-text-as-a-demonic-force-lawsuit-discovery-exposes-inside-buzz-at-fox-news-1333655/

As protestors were storming the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, Fox News host Tucker Carlson sent a text to his producer, Alex Pfeiffer, in which he allegedly claimed then-President Donald Trump is a “demonic force, a destroyer.”

“But he’s not going to destroy us,” Carlson allegedly told Pfeiffer.

. . . In another text exchange between Carlson and Pfeiffer on November 5, Carlson was evidently furious.

“We worked really hard to build what we have,” he reportedly wrote. “Those f***ers are destroying our credibility. It enrages me.”

“He added that he had spoken with ‘Laura and [S]ean a minute ago’ and they are ‘highly upset,’” according to Dominion.

“At this point, we’re getting hurt no matter what,” Carlson reportedly told Pfeiffer.
“It’s a hard needle to thread, but I really think many on our side are being reckless demagogues right now,” the producer replied.

“Of course they are,” Carlson shot back. “We’re not going to follow them.”

He then allegedly cautioned Pfeiffer about Trump.

“What [Trump]’s good at is destroying things. He’s the undisputed world champion of that,” Carlson wrote. “He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”

TheseTruths

I saw that along with some other articles about the Dominion lawsuit agaisnt FOX. One thing that FOX hosts were concerned about was whether Trump would come after the network for their coverage of various things. I think that’s what Tucker was talking about, that it is not wise to make Trump your enemy. Just my impression, which could be mistaken.

As for the following exchange, it happened right after the election, and FOX hosts were up in arms about the network calling AZ for Biden. (He supposedly only got 10,000 more votes than Trump.) I think that’s what this is about, not Trump.

Many of us were upset. I was hoping some of the big names would leave FOX.

And I agree that it’s not a good idea to get on Trump’s bad side. The Trump curse, and all…😆

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I want to see the exact expression about Trump being a “demonic force”. I’m not at all in agreement with that. Trump is human, just like so many characters in the Bible, particularly the Old Testament. Demonic? No. Although I think that the J6 Fedsurrection certainly intended to make it look that way.

TheseTruths

Definitely not demonic. It would be good for Tucker to ‘splain.

singingsoul1

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

I think this explains why Tucker got so deep in the weeds on the Fedsurrection. I think he realized that he had been a victim of the set-up.

That’s exactly how I felt about 9/11, when I realized how much of a fool I had been.

michaelh

My feel is that Fox News executives exposed themselves in the process w/ Tucker and others. Dobbs had to get the boot. Hannity and others fell in line.

Court filing says Fox denied Trump airtime during Jan 6 Capitol riot
February 18, 2023 | Vivek Saxena

https://www.bizpacreview.com/2023/02/18/court-filing-says-fox-denied-trump-airtime-during-jan-6-capitol-riot-1333893/

During the Jan. 6th Capitol riot two years ago, then-President Donald Trump tried to call into Fox Business Network to speak with then-host Lou Dobbs but was rejected by the network’s executives, according to a new court filing submitted Thursday.

. . . “The afternoon of January 6, after the Capitol came under attack, then-President Trump dialed into Lou Dobbs’ show attempting to get on air,” the filing reads, CNN reported.

“But Fox executives vetoed that decision. Why? Not because of a lack of newsworthiness. January 6 was an important event by any measure. President Trump not only was the sitting President, he was the key figure that day,” it continues.

The filing states that Fox News rejected Trump because of complaints from Fox Business Network president Lauren Petterson, who reportedly said “it would be irresponsible to put him on the air” and “could impact a lot of people in a negative way.”

. . . Dobbs’ show was canceled a few weeks later reportedly on account of him fully humoring Trump’s theories that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

. . . In a Nov. 16th email, Fox Corporation chair Rupert Murdoch added, “These people should be watched, if skeptically. … We don’t want to antagonize Trump further, but Giuliani taken with a large grain of salt. Everything at stake here.”

singingsoul1

I do not trust anyone at FOX. The people working there are only in for themselves no backbone. They enrich themselves on the back of the deplorable. Everything is theater they will say to have as many people dial in as possible. All fakers to many fakers in the media.

michaelh

So we have Dominion = evil O(N^3) and Fox News = evil O(N^2) duking it out

Dominion’s exercise in discovery – outside of Dominion being evil O(N^3) – has an interesting potential merit when they argue that several hosts “knew” that the election issues were false . . .

I doubt it will get anywhere, though, because all the news media categorized themselves as “entertainment” a long time ago. Besides, it would have to be shown that Dominion’s disfavorable reporting wasn’t within the proper purview of the first amendment. Dominion doesn’t get to go there.

As far as damage to Dominion’s reputation . . . well, look at yourselves, you idiots, and stop blaming others when your pants are crapped.

It’s a blatant case of CYA and trying to recover the fact that they are crumbs.

Dominion has a vested interest in throwing shade on Fox News and its reporting.

However, what Dominion means for evil (Fox News should countersue) can do us a favor by pulling back the men standing behind the curtain. We are getting some glimpses into how the network operates behind the scene.

A much more interesting insight would be James O’Keefe doing sting videos on Fox News producers ala CNN.

Regardless, Dominion has their own evil motivations, but in a backhanded way they are doing us a favor by exposing Fox News’ internal evil in the proces.

Dominion wants us to think that Fox News knew the election fraud was a conspiracy theory and reported it anyway.

BUT: We see this and we realize that Fox News and Fox News hosts were not fair-minded actors and were steering the reporting away from election integrity issues.

singingsoul1

Will the real Carlson stand up ? He did I see it .

I am not getting the same message as they are.

A new flavor of infused water? Gothamist trying to make hay with this story.

Dumping 1M gallons of radioactive water in Hudson is ‘best option,’ per Indian Point nuclear plant owner
https://gothamist.com/news/dumping-radioactive-water-hudson-river-best-option-indian-point-nuclear-plant-owner-holtec

The owner of the defunct Indian Point nuclear facility says it’s planning to dump about 1 million gallons of radioactive water into the Hudson River. The move, which the company describes as the “best option” for the waste, could happen as early as August.

. . . Environmental groups and residents are also concerned this could harm their community, as the Hudson River is already a federally designated toxic Superfund site. Rich Burroni, Holtec’s site vice president for Indian Point, agreed to give the community at least a month’s notice before any radioactive discharge into the Hudson River begins.

TheseTruths

Is this a normal, tested practice?
Do they know what the implications would be?
I’d like to see the opinion of experts because it sounds like a terrible idea to me.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Exactly. My question is simply “how radioactive?” – meaning type of nuclear source and amount. If it’s low level, meaning like natural levels in many places, and it’s not some type that it going to concentrate in specific organisms in a harmful way, then I personally don’t think it’s a big deal. Are there alternatives like concentrating it and disposing elsewise?

TheseTruths

“Natural” might be okay. As for alternatives, I wonder what has been done in the past or whether they are saying this is a unique situation, which raises more questions.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Full details would be nice! I may have to go digging for this one!

Gail Combs

Also is it actually ‘COOLING WATER’ that has been ‘Officially’ classified as ‘Radioactive’ by the EPA and actually is not.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

GOT IT! Fascinating! It’s “Homeopathically Radioactive”!!!

michaelh

There may be more truth to that than we realize.

There’s long been speculation that potassium’s radioactive isotopes are helpful for the body, particularly the immune system

The sad thing is how programmed the public is on this

Radioactive = FEAR/exclusion

Healing Energies = LOVE/embrace

Although I think I’d be hard pressed to convince even the most new age froot loop to eat bananas for their “natural healing energy” lol

Gail Combs

THE BANANA EQUIVALENT DOSE!!!!

Actually IIRC, radon gas (radioactive) was shown to LOWER lung cancer in states with granite.

It was an Access to Energy article.

This is sort of like it.

A chart line relating risk of cancer to the level of radon gas in the home, we propose, is J-shaped rather than U-shaped as others suggest.23 Unlike many a U-shaped glacial canyon, the left slope of the curve descends much less from its peak than the one on the right, which drops from extreme concentrations of the test substance. Radon is a radioactive gas formed by natural breakdown of radium; it seeps up from soil and accumulates, especially in tightly enclosed buildings.24

At “very low” concentrations of radon in the home, the cancer risk is worse than at higher concentrations up to approximately 230 Bq per cubic meter of air, which is as far as the data extend.25 Bq per cubic meter is the standard unit of measure. At very high radon concentrations such as in deep underground mines — the steeply rising arm of the “J” — the risk rises into the danger zone.26-28

The National Institutes of Health and the EPA — flouting the past 50 years’ health physics research — conducted a long scare-mongering campaign to lower household radon. Now they want to mandate “safety standards” for radon in drinking water, as well.29

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy
Gail Combs

“…. My question is simply “how radioactive?” ….”

Same question I have.

Hazardous isotopes: Cesium-137, Iodine-131, Strontium-90 – geiger counter

In addition, it is these isotopes that accounted for most of the harmful effects following the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986. Cesium-137. Cesium-137 arises as a cleavage product in the nuclear fission of uranium.

Iodine-131

Iodine-131 arises as a cleavage product in the nuclear fission of uranium. This β-emitter decays with a half-life of 8 days

Barium-137

Barium-137 has a half-life of 2.55 minutes. Since this process takes place so rapidly, from a simplified perspective, the decay of cesium-137 is accompanied by both β-radiation and γ-radiation.

The main problem with cesium-137, which is present in the form of salts, is its high water solubility.

Cesium-137

Cesium-137 arises as a cleavage product in the nuclear fission of uranium. Cesium-137 reacts further as a β- source to give barium-137…… Cesium-137 has a half-life of 30 years

BUT

https://web.archive.org/web/20160220031104/http://www.radioactivity.eu.com/site/pages/Caesium_137.htm
From that article:

…In the natural environment, caesium is far less mobile than iodine for instance. Attached to minerals, it tends to stay on the ground and is particularly abundant on the forest floor, after having been intercepted by the vegetation. The mycelium, the name given to the vegetative part of fungi and mushrooms that grow within a few centimeters of the ground, traps caesium in the same way as it (unintentionally) traps pesticides. The isotope can concentrate in the food chain: in the flesh of fish or game, for instance. >>> Once absorbed by a human body, caesium spreads through the muscles until, after the 100 days of its biological lifespan, it disappears. This comparatively quick elimination means that only one nucleus out of 160 will decay inside the human body.…

And it is not like we haven’t been exposed before.

When I was first in Europe, 45 years ago, I was casually looking at the label on the bottle of mineral water I was imbibing. I could understand a bunch of it, but there was some number with “mmC”. I asked our guide about it.

“Oh, that’s milli-micro-Curies,” he said. I commented that seemed like a likely measure of radiation and he said, “that’s right. It’s supposed to give you zip.”

So, maybe Indian Point wants to give the Hudson a little zip.

How is it that this guy’s talent is being wasted at a nuclear facility?

Anyone who is either clueless or tone deaf enough to casually announce he’s dumping toxic radioactive waste into the Hudson — ever — much less mere days after (and into) an environmental disaster in north eastern Ohio, should be leading the United States Domestic Terrorism & Psychological Warfare teams.

Dershowitz says it was unconstitutional for Georgia grand jury to release report on Trump
https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/liberal-professor-says-it-was-unconstitutional-georgia-grand-jury-release

Harvard Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz said it was unconstitutional for a Georgia judge to release parts of a Fulton County special grand jury report looking into efforts by former President Donald Trump and his allies to challenge Georgia’s 2020 election results.

“It’s a terrible legal process,” Dershowitz said on the Thursday edition of the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “The Constitution provides for the grand jury to be a safeguard against false indictment. It’s in the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution.”

Five pages of the report, including its introduction and conclusion, were released following county Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney’s order earlier this week.

Dershowitz said that legal decisions like this cause serious problems.

“Grand juries’ conclusions are not worth the paper they’re written on,” he explained. “They’re only usually charging documents. It’s a serious problem when grand juries make announcements like this without having given the opportunity of due process for those who they accuse.”

Dershowitz explained that whether someone is Democrat or Republican, it should be an area of agreement that everyone is entitled to civil liberties.

Grand Juries are SECRET PERIOD!

They are to look and see if there is reason to indict. They are secret because IF THERE IS NO REASON TO INDICT THEN A PERSON’S REPUTATION IS NOT HARMED and the case is not compromised (and witnesses killed)

OK – the Oumuamua thing has me going WTF on the assertion of nitrogen ice being the reason it’s not outgassing, because on the surface, that’s pretty backwards to me.

Nitrogen solid is extremely volatile – I would expect it to outgas MORE than water ice. Perhaps it’s not as VISIBLE when it does – I can buy that. BUT then that may conflict with the nitrogen geysers on Triton, which not only prove nitrogen outgassing is a thing, but that it can be visible.

Even if Oumuamua isn’t alien tech, it seems like an awesome way to carry out interstellar missions, be they observation, panspermia, or messaging. Imagine plotting a course for a highly accelerated, dug-out asteroid (with “tumble gravity” if needed) to go star-hopping through the galaxy. Imagine using massive boosters to drop it toward the sun and then to accelerate into a huge escape velocity to begin the journey.

Best of all, find a nitrogen-ice-coated ROCK of the proper shape and size, then create a constructed layer over the nitrogen ice, and turn the nitrogen ice into a booster for the rocky core. One could use the sun’s heat to reach a screaming velocity out of the solar system and on its way, with enough nitrogen kept for course corrections along the way.

Sounds like the makings of a SciFi plot…

NS had a very profitable year in 2022 !

I’d like to see them try to defend their collective asses in courtroom trials in front of JURIES of OHIOANS , and go bankrupt in the process, at the very least.

but this will take years to fully investigate and then litigate.

the damage is done…and that damage will seep & creep into our environment, our food sorces, our water, our air…. and our DNA.… forever.

So many “accidents” coincidentally just happened! Unbelievable & horrifying!

cthulhu

NS didn’t burn that shit.

NS didn’t load the cars — they just towed ’em.

NS WAS supposed to be in charge of the monitoring hot-boxes. WTF happened there?

smiley2

good points….but…

NS is responsible for maintenance of its railway and the cars it tows.

vicarious liability.

it has a duty of care.

it also carries a degree of accountability re the decision to burn the shit.

cthulhu

NS is responsible for the maintenance of its right-of-way (including “hot-box” sensors). It rents the cars. Shouldn’t the owners of the cars have responsibility as to their condition?

Someone loaded the cars with vinyl chloride. Shouldn’t the owner of the hazardous materials have some responsibility as to shipping them safely and carrying adequate insurance?

And NS had no influence, as far as I can tell, for the stupid decision to just light things up. If it wasn’t their choice, why should they be liable?

It might appear that they are the biggest pockets around to pay the people unquestionably damaged, but I’d want to know more as to their actual contribution to the problem before I put it all on them.

smiley2
Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Wow.

cthulhu

Includes quote: “It’s the responsibility of the railroad to maintain the track and locomotives by which railcars move. However, these derailed cars were possibly owned by a leasing company or the actual shipper of the chemicals inside the railcar.”

It also seems to me, if I were designing this hotbox thing, I’d have them regularly do a self-check and send status to passing trains, as well as detect heated bearings. That way, any train that passes should have a list of hotboxes to pass and someone could be dispatched to replace any that didn’t send an ok signal to the train — probably eliminating the unionized positions.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

THIS right here…..

comment image

…..explains something I had heard.

What I heard was that the safety data for ALL (and this was emphasized- ALL) railroad car wheel health and geographic location was stored by some CHINESE company IN CHINA. Basically a TikTok or a Konnech situation.

I’m still not sure if this is hotbox information or something else, but the description of Norfolk Southern as being taken over internally by wokesters and foreigners sounds exactly like what happened to so many other places, including ones I’ve been in. The Chinese manager sounds like the ones I knew, whose “big innovation” was generally to send stuff to China.

TRAVESTY.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

The worst part of all this is that Biden is a sick, infected, mind-controlled slave of China, who absolutely does not understand that the way to actually “compete” with China is to stop them from cheating, and that the way to have WAR with China is to simply CUT THEM OFF ECONOMICALLY – the thing they dread most of all.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow, that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.

I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.

Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.

With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.

Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

China Sanctions Lockheed Martin and Raytheon
By Brett Hershman – Freelance Writer
Feb 17, 2023
https://dallasexpress.com/national/china-sanctions-lockheed-martin-and-raytheon/

China announced sanctions on two of the biggest U.S. defense contractors, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, on Thursday.

Since China’s Ministry of Commerce’s announcement made on February 16, both Lockheed Martin and the Missiles & Defense segment of Raytheon Technologies are found on the country’s “unreliable entities list,” according to The Wall Street Journal.

These sanctions prevent them from undergoing export or import activities and trade relating to China. They also cannot make new investments, and their senior executives are unable to enter the country, China’s Ministry of Commerce said.

. . . Beijing’s move is primarily symbolic since, as the WSJ reported, Raytheon and Lockheed Martin are American defense companies, and thus their sales to China had already been subject to restrictions. Raytheon’s civilian aerospace business — not included in the ban — is one of the biggest suppliers of commercial jet engines and aircraft parts to Chinese airlines.

However, China’s Ministry of Commerce cited both companies’ arms sales to Taiwan as the reason for its decision to blacklist them and has demanded that they pay fines to the tune of double the value of those sales within 15 days, the WSJ reported.

pgroup2

If a Chinese communist holds his breath waiting for those fines to be paid, does he turn green if they’re not paid within 15 days? [blue plus yellow = …]

Make the FBI happy: install an ad blocker
Enrique Dans
Dec 25, 2022
https://medium.com/enrique-dans/make-the-fbi-happy-install-an-ad-blocker-c6f3ba2ef3a2

comment image

The growing numbers of people around the world now using ad blockers — over 300 million on computers and 530 million on mobiles — now have the support of an unexpected ally: the FBI, which has just officially recommended in a PSA the use of ad blockers to strengthen personal cybersecurity, citing the risk of inadvertently clicking on the many fraudulent ads that plague websites.

This misuse of advertising that should not surprise us, given the pragmatism of some companies, Google or Facebook above all, which are only interested in how much money they can make. Right from the get go, Google was happy to get rich with dialer ads that scammed inexperienced users, and continues today by allowing all kinds of ads. Facebook went even further with the Cambridge Analytica scandal, possibly one of the largest electoral manipulations in history, for which it has just been sentenced to pay a fine of $725 million.

Internet advertising is plagued by scams, viruses, trackers, information theft, and a whole lot more bad news. Blocking advertising is no longer an act of rebellion, of protest against intrusive formats or of protecting one’s personal productivity, but a simple security decision. Think about it not only when you install it yourself, which if you are reading this you surely already have it, but also when you install it on your parents’ computer or for other users with less experience the problem: you are not simply freeing them from an annoyance that every so often will prevent them from reading an article because they will see junk that prevents them from doing so or because they will avoid stupid and annoying videos with pre-activated sound, but you are also protecting them from malicious attacks of all kinds.

Hence, Google’s recent efforts to sabotage the use of ad blockers by redefining the advertising ecosystem and relying on the dominance of its Chrome browser is not only a breach of antitrust law, but also irresponsible. Just because Google’s business continues to rely on advertising, does not mean that all web users should be subjected to a business model that is not only generally annoying, but also an invasion of our privacy that exposes us to vulnerabilities.

What should you do as a user? First, ditch Chrome. Using the same browser 65% of other people use is dangerous, because criminals have a great incentive to look for vulnerabilities in it; and secondly, a problem for your privacy if the company that develops it also lives primarily on advertising. Second, install an ad blocker: AdBlockAdBlock PlusGhosteryuBlock Origin or some other. You will gain a better browsing experience, free of ads even on YouTube, but also potentially safer. And if you also recommend it to or install it for other users with less experience than you, you will be doing your good deed of the day, which will also make the FBI happy.

michaelh

With broadcast media – radio, TV, cable, etc. – there is no straightforward technical method to eliminate advertising while retaining content.

Sure, you can pre-record or DVR through commercials. There’s also my preferred method, the “mute” button.

But with soft paywalls, ad banners, Adobe Flash (finally dead), there are still many technical methods to block ads without blocking content.

Ultimately I think it will force the big players to change their monetization scheme. It would be better if the content subscribers were paying customers rather than the advertisers being the paying customers and the public being the suckers.

Google’s “you get it free!” (free, as in “FREE CANDY!”) is a honeytrap that is monetized not for end users but for advertisers.

Block them. Like Ricky Jarvis, I just don’t care. I know he was your friend, but I don’t care.

If Google wants to get into the SPAM business, that’ll be another can of worms. Spammers are criminal and borderline criminal actors that are constantly hacking for ways to circumvent spam controls.

Google’s advertising scheme isn’t much different, except that they want to appear “credible” “legitimate” and “ethical”. Google’s advertising scheme isn’t much different than spammers.

BTW, Google’s advertising scheme isn’t much different than spam.

So no, I really don’t care.

Especially when they game the system, rewarding content makers for content they prefer not for the delivery of ad messages.

No Nigerian Prince ever said “We want to advertise on your site, but your content isn’t the kind we want for our wealth transfer scams”.

Google is in the spam business, with a marketing agency that built a brand reputation around credibility and reputation.

But Google isn’t any different than the Nigerian prince – just that they’re the Silicon Valley princes.

And they make a ton of money scamming you.

I use Ghostery and it works real well, too!

The Plastic company in Florida burned for 6 days and we just learned of it a day or so ago… heck might still be burning.

RF121

Plastics fires are tough. You need a boat load of water to contain them. Fire sprinkler systems have to have huge water flows. The large insurance companies will not touch locations without adequate protection. For example they would need onsite water storage with pumps to ensure adequate pressure. They will even require notification if you even turn the system off temporarily.

Gail Combs

Plastics are essentially oil (organics) made into a different form.

This is VERY simplified (Steve don’t hit me)

Crude oil

polypropylene (Real cheap plastic)

RF121

In your standard manufacturing plant the injection molding machines use hi pressures and temperatures in a mold to form the product. So the plastics are in various forms. Beads as raw materials, finished product, waste product that is typically ground up and used again.

Then packaged in card board so lots of flammable materials in different forms. Well maintained facilities keep everything separated and will even have sprinklers in the storage racks.

Gail Combs

Actually I worked in three different plastics factories. We had a wall blown out in the warehouse in one place, An extruder blow in another and the last we had food poisoning due to bad food handling practices. 🙄 The sec to the safety officer, the nurse and I ate out ever day…. We got threatened by management. So as soon as I had another job, I told the Union Steward what was up, I had a list and told him where the reports were located. Seems his Dad was a lawyer. 🤓

“We already see clear evidence that China is not taking a “wait-and-see” approach.”
This is not new. China and Russia started working together seriously after the NATO/US/EU attack on Serbia and the seizure of Kosovo in 1999. If they needed an incentive to cooperate, Serbia was a Russian ally and the US bombed the Chinese embassy – the biggest geopolitical own goal since Hitler declared war on the US of A.
They understood then, not only that they were next, but that the only real instruments of Western power were in the air and on the sea. They saw that the key was missile technology, a speciality of the Soviet Union, to defend against air attack and eliminate the threat from the sea. They have been working on this with growing success ever since.

They, especially China, have also helped Iran in this sector.

We see the results today, nuclear apart, the West is militarily a paper tiger.”

Seymour Hersch is keeping his word:
Betting on Ukraine victory was ‘suicidal’ – Seymour Hersh

The West didn’t even want Kiev in NATO because of corruption concerns, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist says

The US and its allies should have attempted to reach an agreement with Moscow as their belief that Ukraine can win a conflict against Russia is “suicidal,” iconic American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has argued.

Speaking in a YouTube interview with the Consortium News outlet on Friday, Hersh accused the Biden administration of making “so many bad mistakes,” adding that “it’s impossible to believe just how dumb this leadership was.”
“It was suicidal to think you can win that war, that Ukraine can win the war [against Russia]. There’s just too much corruption. That was a very, very bad decision. We should have been pushing for peace, we should have made an agreement,” the former Pulitzer Prize winner insisted.

US President Joe Biden basically “blew off NATO in Europe” by telling allies that he is backing Ukraine with its “totally corrupt government,” Hersh added. The journalist also pointed out how Kiev glorifies Stepan Bandera, “the great pro-Nazi who killed Jews like crazy during World War II.”

Hersh is great. Fighting for unpopular truth to the end. A REAL journalist.

The Bandera-loving Jazis are Nutzies. People have to stop listening to them.

Jazis: “Nazis are OK, as long as they’re killing (other) Slavs and not Jews.”

And when the Nazis start killing Jews….

Jazis: “Nazis are OK, as long as they’re killing OTHER Jews and not us.”

These people are destroying the world in every way they can. When Europeans finally have enough of this shit, and tell Biden and Soros and Nuland and “Atlantis” to GTH, the insanity ends. Both the Neocons and Neolibs are dangerous to humanity. Stop listening to them!

Nor'easter

Need a little help here…

I am trying to open up an individuals eyes…
At the same time, this individual is being told, by his doctor, and others, outright, to ignore my advice (as I have no professional medical education or experience).

Essentially, in this case, the individual is a retired, out-of-shape, middle-aged male, who leads a sedentary life-style, with type II diabetes and high blood pressure (for which he is on medication), and “long-covid”.
(He is UNVAXXED, and has had Covid, I believe, TWICE).

A few years ago, he was diagnosed as “Pre-diabetic”.

I advised him at that time about his diet and exercise (which IMO would have PREVENTED his current condition of diabetes AND high blood pressure, and FURTHERMORE, if he were to go on a ketogenic type of diet and exercise program right now, he quite possibly could GET OFF THE MEDS for BOTH diabetes AND high blood pressure).

Furthermore, he does NOT take any vitamins or other nutritional supplements.

I need to know:

-What types of tests (for example, blood tests; and if any specific type of test, which may require specific request) should be done?

-HOW does one read their own test results?

-What are the name(s) of the professional(s), MEDICAL, OR OTHERWISE, who analyze test results and make their recommendations/adjustments based on those results?

As an example, I had posed a question relating to his “long Covid” here, and passed along the info, INCLUDING LINKS, that I received from Wolfmoon and Gail Combs (TY !).

He relayed back to me that his blood-oxygen content was “NORMAL”, measured by some type of device that “clamped onto (his) finger”, but DID NOT GIVE AN ACTUAL NUMBER.
(IIRC, from discussions on this site, someone (Wolf?) with a “95” felt “NORMAL”, but could detect some “brain-fog” with an only slightly-lower “92” or “93” (?).

He was also told that his vitamin D was “low” (no number was given to me; which comes as no surprise, considering his sedentary lifestyle; being “winter” doesn’t help).
I recommended taking vitamin D, but I do NOT know “HOW MUCH”, or how to “calculate” it (this could go for any thing which is either LACKING, or needs to be CUT BACK ON), AND I DID NOT KNOW WHO TO DIRECT HIM TO IN ORDER TO FIND OUT.

I need DIRECTION, not just for this one individual, but for EVERYONE (INCLUDING my “DETRACTORS”), including MYSELF; and I am CERTAIN that the information coming from my fellow Treepers will be of benefit to ALL.

PS: His doctor keeps recommending the VAX. I’m recommending that he find new doctor ! (But I also need to make sure to avoid “QUACKS”)

TIA !
😉

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

Here is a great “enlightened mainstream” video which includes a lot of the common supplements, including vitamin D.

The doctor here cites literature that says up to 4000 international units (IU) of vitamin D per day is OK without a doctor’s recommendation. The doc himself takes 5000 IU, and has recommended as high as 12,000 IU for obese patients (see second video).

Here is his deep dive on vitamin D where he recommends up to 1.5 times the dose (i.e., 6000 IU) for overweight patients, and up to 3.0 time the dose (i.e., 12,000 IU) for obese patients (this is near the end).

Nor'easter

TY Wolf !

RAC

5000 iu’s vit D seems to be a standard size they make them in, I take 2 a day in winter and 1 a day in summer.

Nor'easter

TY RAC !

kalbokalbs

Same here. May cut in half, when summer arrives. Then I’ll be outside often and longer periods of time.

RAC

These companies that sell online must keep their ears to the ground.
In the last couple of months they’ve started selling vit D 5000iu and 100 mcg vit K both together in the same tablet, saves buying two items.

Wolf Moon | Threat to Demonocracy

People on blood thinners or having clotting issues need to be careful with that one, IMO.

In terms of hydration, per day:
2 ounces per pound of body weight (in other words, a 100-pound person would take 50 ounces of fluids per day — more in hot weather, if exercising, etc.)
Approximately 3/5 of the fluids intake per day needs to be plain water (in other words, a 100-pound person drinking 50 ounces of fluids per day would take about 30 ounces of that amount in plain water per day.)
Some people calculate the fluids amount per day by kilogram of body weight (divide body weight by 2.2.)

If you can, find out the vitamin D number.

If it’s less than 25 or so, that is code red alert. He needs a LOT of vitamin D for a little while, then less for maintenance. So, 10,000 i.u. a day for three or four months, then 4000-5000 a day for maintenance. If his D level is 30-60, 4000 a day should raise it gradually.

He needs exercise, but not hard core. Just walking would be a good start. He could get a dog and walk with it, or find a group to walk with. But just get him to start, if he will.

Blood pressure is a hard one. It takes a while to bring down no matter what. But you are right, more protein and veggies and less carbs and sweets is a really good idea for both blood pressure and diabetes.

Also, it;s just my observation, but people who are sedentary, sick, and generally unhealthy are just SAD. Happiness is good for your blood pressure! Laughing, hanging out with friends, and petting an animal all lower blood pressure. And who wouldn’t want to just be happier? So finding a new hobby to do with people, or having dinner once a week with family or friends is awesome. So are pets, but not everyone can do that.

I try to tell people that anything is a start, no matter how small. Big changes can seem overwhelming, but a healthy lunch with a friend once a week is fun, and can change your life.

pgroup2

You are a blessing. 😍

Aubergine

Thanks, p!

Nor'easter

Thank you Aubergine. This is good !

I do remember him telling me that he had been walking for exercise, and that seemed to make him feel better, but IIRC, that was almost three years ago.

He was recently retired (2019 ?), and the covid non-sense was just coming into “full-swing”.

That led to doctors refusing to schedule routine appointments, and the isolation caused by the “lockdown” mentality, which has a long-term affect of its own.

He has since been experiencing the symptoms associated with “long-Covid”, including some respiratory distress, fatigue, and “brain-fog”.

And he has never been married, has no children, and no close family, and no pets, a few friends, and lives half-way across the country.

I will pass all info on to him.

Their DEADLY SOLUTION must not become a SOCIAL CONTAGION.

It is a MENTAL ILLNESS and should be treated as such. Most kids grow out of it. If not, our society accepts gays without too much trouble.

Gail, thank you for all the great posts. I look forward to the Rockefeller one. Happy to blame them for anything and everything.

John D Rockefeller and his sons Nelson and David are sprinkled throughout this mess. I seem to trip over them in practically every article I read.

For example:

A photo shows Henry Kissinger and Nelson Rockefeller, January 1975…. Kissinger was placed in his position of authority as National Security Advisor under Richard Nixon, the most powerful man in government, by Nelson Rockefeller and his affiliates at the Council on Foreign Relations.

When he was young, Schwab’s mentor at Harvard was Henry Kissinger.

Maurice Strong worked for the Rockefellers in Saudi Arabia and was mentored by them. He was president of the World Bank, cofounder? of WEF and chair of the first UN  Earth Summit in 1972. Strong warned urgently about global warming at the same time that Kissenger and friends were talking about global cooling behind closed doors.

There is another photo with Bill Gates Sr (Father of the current monster) Fauci, David Rockefeller and bunch of others.

The Rockefellers organized\d the 1973 oil crisis. OPEC was a front. The Rockefeller – Saudi oil company was Aramco.

The Saudi-Aramco relationship has endured a lot. There was a phony “nationalization” of Aramco in the 1970s, when Nasserite and Baathist socialism were all the rage on the Arab “street”: the Saudi government took over Aramco, formally, but then immediately turned around and granted the Aramco-Rockefeller consortium the exclusive contract to “manage” the operation. Under this new deal, the consortium would get the lion’s share of Saudi oil, with the rest going to Petromin, the state-owned company.

“Back in September, European Commission President Von der Leyen said that “the investigation into the attack on Nord Stream is of the utmost importance and that any deliberate destruction of European energy infrastructure is unacceptable and will lead to the strongest possible response.” The most drastic response. And well, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Seymour Hersh, probably the most legendary investigative journalist right now, just published an article detailing how, on the orders of President Biden, the US, with the help of Norway, blew up the Nord Stream gas pipelines. Hersh has a longstanding reputation as an honest journalist. It was a deliberate terrorist attack on critical European infrastructure. It was also an act of environmental terrorism. And does the EU care about this? Do you need to know who did it? Do you want to know? Hersh said it was the work of the United States. Did you even ask them? Did you ask them if they were? Do you ask them more questions at all? Or have we become such lackeys? The European Union kowtows to the US empire so much that you can’t even ask them if they did it? This is some fucking joke!”

A little piece of information gleaned today: James Baker, former Department of Justice General Legal Counsel for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who left public service and who was hired on as a “Censor” at Twitter and who was involved in the censorship of the October 2020 New York Post bombshell article on Hunter Biden and his dealings with foreign entities, testified on Capitol Hill today.

James Baker testified that he was hired on at Twitter, by Twitter General Counsel, Sean Edgett.

So here’s a little bit of aggregated history and a little bit more of “The Rest of the Story”

Sean Edgett, previously worked at the law firm of Latham & Watkins where he specialized as a corporate Securities attorney.

Which is really quite a coincidence because Latham & Watkins is the very same firm where Christopher Clark is a Partner. And Christopher Clark is the Attorney representing Hunter Biden against incriminating laptop evidence.

December 2020 – One month after Joe Biden takes the vote for Presidency, Latham & Watkins assign Partner & Attorney Christopher Clark as the lead attorney in Hunter Biden’s defense.

January 20, 2021 – Joe Biden is inaugurated as the 44th President of the United States

January 21, 2021 – Joe Biden names Attorney Nicholas McQuaid as the new Director of the Department of Justice Criminal Divison.

Up until January 21, 2021, Nicholas McQuaid was a Partner employed by the law firm of Latham & Watkins and Attorney McQuaid was working with Attorney Christopher Clark on Hunter Biden’s defense.

February 2, 2021- It is officially announced that Hunter Biden, is under investigation by the FBI.  The Department of Justice Criminal Division will be responsible for indicting and prosecuting the FBI case against Hunter Biden.

April 30, 2021 –
(AdvisoryExcellence) – Latham & Watkins advised the joint lead managers and bookrunners on Ukraine’s successful pricing of its new US$ 1.25 BILLION Notes due in 2029 in international capital markets. The issuance was priced at 6.875% annual yield. The proceeds will be used for general budgetary purposes.

As of 2021, Latham & Watkins is the second-largest law firm in the world by revenue.

Latham & Watkins would go on to shutter their Moscow offices on March 9, 2022.

If this story was about Trump and his son, it would be the only news story on MSM until Trump was driven out of office and arrested.
