Can somebody explain to me why Iran needs a new government? Despite all the consternation and hyperventilating from the kosher crowd (Loomer, Levin, Lady Lindsey) there is no evidence to suggest Iran poses a threat to the United States or even to Israel.
Not to mention that Iran, which was once geopolitically isolated, now has strong international relations with a number of world powers, most notably Russia and China. Iran has also become a geographic centerpiece of the North-South Transport Corridor, which is a trade route developed by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to compete with the Suez Canal.
The deep economic entanglement between these nations will actually keep Iran accountable as economic pressure from both inside and outside of the country will promote peace and deter kinetic conflict.
Put simply, there is absolutely no reason to believe that Iran wants to start a war with Israel or the US—even assuming that Iran harbors ill-will toward Israel and would prefer to see it somehow destroyed. The point is that Iran is not going to start or provoke such a war with Israel because it knows that it will end up fighting the US and Europe.
So why the hell are we allowing the Israel lobby to drag us into this situation?

Pentagon Says US Disabled Cartel-Linked Drones Near Texas Border — Badlands Team
The Trump Administration confirmed that “cartel drones” entered US airspace near El Paso, Texas, and were disabled by the FAA and the Department of War. Secretary Duffy (Transportation) posted on X:
“The FAA and DOW acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion. The threat has been neutralized, and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region. The restrictions have been lifted and normal flights are resuming.”
The FAA earlier issued a surprise notice shutting down the airspace above El Paso, a major city in west Texas on the US-Mexico border, and halting all flights up to 18,000 feet for 10 days due to “special security reasons.” The restricted area covered a 10-mile radius, and restrictions were lifted Wednesday night.
Business Insider cites anonymous officials claiming that the administration disabled the drones using counter-drone measures. The department did not publicly specify the exact technology used.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rejected reports of the alleged drone incursion, stating, “There is no information about the use of drones on the border,” according to reporting by Newsweek. The same article reports that Representative Tony Gonzales responded to the drone news:

We’ve been speculating for months that Mexico would be the real target for a military operation. Here’s President Trump weeks ago explaining that the cartels control Mexico.

Yesterday, President Trump affirmed that he did offer to send in US troops to fight the cartels, but was turned down by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum.

However, two weeks ago it was reported that a Mexican Senate commission approved a proposal for SEAL Team 2 to go there and train Mexican special forces to fight the cartels.
Last week, Sheinbaum formally invited the SEALs—though this was only in a training capacity.
With all of this said, it is notable that the New York Post
reported that over 100 cartel bosses—including El Mencho’s brother—were quietly handed over to the Trump administration prior to the Jalisco raid where El Mencho was killed.
It could be that things are not what they seem. It could be kayfabe to keep the cartels guessing. We should continue to withhold belief (h/t: Chris Paul ) until we have enough data to adopt an informed opinion.
Personally, I do think this particular war against the cartels is real, and I think much of the cartels’ infrastructure has already been severely hampered by the efforts of Colombian President Gustavo Petro and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, along with Bukele of El Salvador, among others.

What more could Pres. Trump be doing on the domestic policy front? He is, IMO, giving his life in service to this country. We already knew, or should have already known, the things he has been doing and has been directing his cabinet to do to lift up the people of this country, eliminate fraud, make us safer, possibly overhaul the entire economic system, bring mortgage rates and prices down, correct the anti-American and corrupt social policies of past administrations, etc. The effects of some of the policies, like tariffs and other economic moves that I don’t have the capacity to fully understand, take some time to be felt by the people, and that is starting to happen.
Apparently Pres. Trump is faced with a dire situation in Iran, since even Chuck Schumer said something must be done (without criticizing him). Pres. Trump is trying sanctions and diplomatic options. He has no plans to put boots on the ground that I have heard. What do people want?
If Iran bombs the US with chemical weapons, it will become a domestic policy issue real fast.
I brought up other people’s point of view mainly because they are not fringe, they are MAGA and their views and ideas are never mentioned here.
Some people in the MAGA movement are sick and tired of fighting OTHER PEOPLES WARS and getting tricked into doing it.
G. Edward Griffin goes into how the US population was tricked into supporting WWI & WWII. The Gulf of Tonkin, a completely made up piece of fiction, got us into the Vietnam war where a lot of my friends were killed or traumatized. As a side note on that war, on Sitrep quite a while back, a bunch of veterans who fought in the middle east discussed how, when it came down to actually fighting, the Israelis were no where to be found. IMO, to think that someone with no credentials, who provides zero evidence, is in possession of that kind of a bombshell that is being handled by military intelligence, and that he is free to disclose it when all of Pres. Trump’s cabinet members are not, is ludicrous.

He was sitting in the waiting room after DIL was admitted (whereupon she was issued a patient id number). In the waiting room there was a large screen and every time her id was swiped (for a procedure for example) it showed up on the big screen in the waiting room. He said it was by patient id of course–no names.
but he knew when she was prepped, when she got anesthesia, when her surgery was through, etc….
I remember that type of system about a decade or so ago at U of Michigan Hospital during one of Josiah’s many surgeries. It was also color coded indicating various phases of the process. Quite informative but much less personal than when they used to call the parents up to give an in-person update from the nurse, a staff person, or even the surgeon. Hopefully they still get to speak to the surgeon once their roll is finished…

she was good. a little lonely. My brother and his wife (who live near there) both have had tremendous colds and were staying away from her (which I agree with). So she didn’t have any visitors for awhile.
Then my aunt called and told her my uncle had a heart attack was admitted to the hospital and they couldn’t get his blood pressure under control. sigh. But i was glad we were there with her and kept her company and tried to take her mind off it for a while.
I’m sorry for these extended family sorrows. Glad you were able to be with your mom & ease her burdens & loneliness a bit 🙂
she comes from a family of 15 children. the oldest three shared one mother and the other 12 had another. the oldest 2 (my MOM is one) are still alive and kicking. the younger ones are not faring as well.

When the DH had his surgery last year, a similar system was in place. However, he also got a call from the surgeon the night before his surgery. I got a call from the surgeon when he was in recovery, and he got a visit from the surgeon in his room just a couple of hours after he was put in there.
Sounds like good care to me!

The security of the righteous. (1-3) Prayer for them, The ruin of the wicked. (4,5)
1-3 All those minds shall be truly stayed, that are stayed on God. They shall be as Mount Zion, firm as it is; a mountain supported by providence, much more as a holy mountain supported by promise. I’ve been having thoughts again. Yes, I know it’s dangerous, lol!
I am a Christian. I was born into a Christian family, but drifted away for many reasons. Giving my life to Jesus was a choice I made, a choice of the heart. DNA doesn’t make me Christian. There is no “test” I could take to “prove” I’m Christian. I just am one, and represent myself as such. If a person or entity or country “hates Christians,” well I’m in their crosshairs, aren’t I?
Then there are the Jews. A person can be “born” Jewish, if their mother is a Jew. If their mother is a Jewish convert, like Ivanka Trump, the children are just as Jewish as if they were born to a Middle Eastern Jew with 100% Levantine DNA. There is no “test” they can take to “prove” they are Jews. For Ivanka, conversion to Judaism was a choice of the heart. If her children continue as Jewish when they are adults, that is a heart matter, too. Their DNA won’t show a hint of “Levantine” blood, but they’ll still be Jews, nonetheless.
All religion is a heart matter, in my opinion. It can only ever be. And like it or not, “choosing” to be Jewish IS identifying with a religion, even if you are secular. Does anybody think that the “secular Christians” would be exempted from death by the jihadists? They choose to identify with Christianity, and there are consequences for that.
People who live in Israel by choice have “chosen” to be associated with a religion. Call them “secular Jews” all you want, this is a spiritual war we are in. We are fighting the forces of darkness no matter what label we put on it.
One thing the Mozzies have been taking advantage of is secularist societies refusing to see this as a religious war. Granted, Mohammedanism is a violent, warring, political movement masquerading as a religion, but it DOES have religious (one could well say SATANIC) underpinnings, and must be quashed and defeated as such.
This tolerance of everything except Christianity and Judaism has to be corrected, and returned to what it was a century or two ago.

I understand why this is desired, but IMO it circumvents the legal protection of innocent until proven guilty. If a staffer made a false claim and the slush fund were used to settle the matter, and the name of that Congressperson were released, his/her reputation would be forever tarnished. Maybe they’re all guilty as alleged, but we don’t know that unless the cases are adjudicated. I hope this will shine light on the problem and that a solution can be found, but I’m not sure that this is it.

But here’s what should make us pause: The globe obsesses over Israel.
One tiny nation. Smaller than New Jersey. Surrounded by hostility. Constantly in global headlines.
Zechariah 12 says Jerusalem will be a “heavy stone” for all peoples.
That’s not normal geopolitics. That’s prophetic gravity.
The real question is this: Did God promise a physical regathering of the descendants of Abraham back to their land after worldwide dispersion?
If the answer is yes, then what happened in 1948 demands serious biblical reflection. God called the land promise to Abraham an everlasting covenant (Genesis 17:7–8). If “everlasting” doesn’t mean everlasting, covenant language everywhere becomes unstable.
And what other nation was scattered for nearly 2,000 years, preserved ethnically, revived its ancient language, and returned to its ancestral land? There is no parallel.
To be clear, if the modern state of Israel is not Israel, then who is? And when exactly will Israel be back in the land?
Mind you, modern Israel is apostate. That’s not a compliment, that’s the point. The coming time of Jacob’s Trouble is judgment before redemption. Judgment refines. Wrath precedes remnant.
Jesus said, “You will not see Me again until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord’” (Matthew 23:39).
Revelation 1:7 echoes Zechariah 12:10: “They will look on Him whom they pierced.”
Modern Israel is not spiritually restored yet, but biblically, the physical regathering was always supposed to come before the spiritual awakening.
The Israel that exists today will be the Israel God judges, and yes, a remnant of Israel will be redeemed.

Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,
