We did the “Little loop” — up the Peterson Trail and down the Sanborn Trail. In 2017, when we were hiking Sanborn a couple of times each month, the Fiancee and I had done this in 36 minutes. They have new markers on trail intersections, so this is 50, 49, 47, 45, 44, 41, 39, 67, 64, 63, 62, 52, 50.
In 2023, took us about two hours and change. Didn’t really feel it until after driving back to the rendezvous point and discovering how much we’d stiffened.

A solid majority of the people we met on the trail were probably foreigners — they spoke different languages, they looked different and behaved differently. It was a beautiful day it was a great hike in the woods — and it wasn’t crowded at all.
Unlike some things (*cough* *jobs* *cough*), I don’t have anything negative to say about seeing these folks. If people from Hyderabad or Shenzhen laud the beauty of Sanborn Park and want to visit there, they are quite welcome……but it makes me really wonder why so many locals are so buried in their cellphones that they don’t notice and appreciate the beauty in their midst.

I was recently asked to do an interview with an @ajc entertainment journalist to talk about being a lifelong @Braves fan. I declined the interview because of how badly I was treated by Major League Baseball and the mainstream media when I sang our National Anthem in October of 2021 for a Braves playoff game. Because I was unvaccinated, I was treated like a pariah and a criminal by MLB and the MSM. I haven’t watched a MLB game since and I doubt that I ever will again without a formal apology from MLB. With so many reports of people being injured by the vaccines and boosters, I stand by my decision to refuse to take any of the jabs. It’s such a shame, because there was never a bigger Major League Baseball and @Braves fan than me. Nevertheless, I stand by my decision and I refuse to be bullied by any agenda that ultimately wants to reduce the population because of a “climate change” hoax.

In the above video, starting about 1:05, there is a large Trump flag held horizontally that works its way in from the left side of the screen & then is allowed through the police line into the more protected, but open place, in the plaza (?). It’s something Very Different than the movements up to that point, which is why it stands out to me.
Was this a sort of fake Trojan Horse maneuver whereby the preplanned “breech” of the Capitol was orchestrated, w/ the “holding the line authorities” completely in on the plan? Or was this perhaps bringing one of the dead/injured through the lines but deliberately preventing overhead videography/drones? from capturing who/what Exactly was being moved into the protected area? Other ideas?
OK so I slowed that video down to 1/4 speed & it appears that a bunch of the authorities grab that horizontal Trump flag & surround it briefly before setting it down on the ground (it appears to have some type of frame to maintain its consistent shape) & then a few cops/people lift it up & move it much closer to the building…fwiw…

‘Regional Medical Center’ serves US military bases. Customers are US military, dependent and some US civilian employees. Latter “pay” with their medical insurance, including co-pays and the like. Germans are NOT part of the deal.

New York City has unleashed restrictions on its contentious “Right to Shelter” law, which has drawn an influx of illegal aliens to the city.
Under the new regulations, illegal aliens seeking taxpayer-funded shelter will now be limited to a 60-day stay, after which they must reapply for the program or face eviction.

I dont know the extent of what kind of hospice care you have her on, but if its possible to do it at home thats more comforting for everyone and someone is always there. I did that with my grandmother and it was best for her.
We talked about home, and the reality is we’re not set up to do that.
She’s cleared to be moved, and we’re waiting to hear from the third choice. She’s on one wait list, but I doubt that’s going to happen.
Oh I understand. If you cannot thats just how it goes. Hopefully you will know soon. I would get with everyone and make a tentative schedule on who will be with her at regular intervals. Definitely check her skin, bedding, positioning etc, and help the staff or do it together with them.

But as with many Tesla-related things, there is a secret, thinly obscured by an Oz-like curtain, at the Harris Ranch Supercharger. Hidden in plain sight across the way from the Harris Ranch Supercharger’s main stations, behind a Shell station, is a small diesel plant that has helped power Tesla’s footprint.
The news was first broken by investigative journalist Edward Niedermeyer. In May 2015, Niedermeyer drove from his Oregon home to Harris Ranch to see whether “Musk’s latest bit of dream weaving could stand up to reality.”
What Niedermeyer reportedly found was a little different from the company’s clean energy claims.
“I discovered that Tesla’s battery swap station was not in fact being made available to owners who regularly drove between California’s two largest cities,” Niedermeyer wrote in a May 2022 exposé for Slate. “Instead, the company was running diesel generators to power additional Superchargers (the kind that take 30 to 60 minutes to recharge a battery) to handle the holiday rush, their exhaust mingling with the unmistakable smell of bulls—t.”
The fact that a small diesel plant was helping power the additional chargers kicked off a series of events that unraveled the myth of Elon Musk for Niedermeyer: “Once you stop taking Musk at his word,” he wrote, “his heroic popular image evaporates, and a far darker reality begins to reveal itself.”

I’ve never heard of a battery swap station for Tesla.
There is a company in china that makes cars based on the battery swap method, i.e., instead of recharging the car, when the battery is low, you drive to a station and swap out your battery for a fully charged battery.
I don’t think Tesla ever made a car that worked on that principle, so I’m not sure what this guy is talking about.

I was a little confused, since I thought everything copied from twitter was ‘X’ now, but some people’s twitter links worked, and some didn’t.
I just figured out that if I copy a link from ‘X’, using the drop-down arrow and select ‘copy link’, and post it here, AND THEN replace the ‘X’ in the link by typing “twitter” where the ‘X’ used to be, it posts fine 👍

“Early in 2023, genomics scientist Kevin McKernan made an accidental discovery. While running an experiment in his Boston lab, McKernan used some vials of mRNA Pfizer and Moderna Covid vaccines as controls. He was ‘shocked’ to find that they were allegedly contaminated with tiny fragments of plasmid DNA.
McKernan, who has 25 years’ experience in his field, ran the experiment again, confirming that the vials contained up to, in his opinion, 18-70 times more DNA contamination than the legal limits allowed by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
In particular, McKernan was alarmed to find the presence of an SV40 promoter in the Pfizer vaccine vials. This is a sequence that is, ‘…used to drive DNA into the nucleus, especially in gene therapies,’ McKernan explains. This is something that regulatory agencies around the world have specifically said is not possible with the mRNA vaccines.
Knowing that the contamination had not been disclosed by the manufacturers during the regulatory process, McKernan raised the alarm, posting his findings to Twitter (now X) and Substack with a call-out to other scientists to see if they could replicate his findings.
Other scientists soon confirmed McKernan’s findings, though the amount of DNA contamination was variable, suggesting inconsistency of vial contents depending on batch lots. One of these scientists was cancer genomics expert Dr Phillip Buckhaults, who is a proponent of the mRNA platform and has received the Pfizer Covid vaccine himself.
In September of this year, Dr Buckhaults shared his findings in South Carolina Senate hearing. ‘I’m kind of alarmed about this DNA being in the vaccine – it’s different from RNA, because it can be permanent,’ he told those present.
‘There is a very real hazard,’ he said, that the contaminant DNA fragments will integrate with a person’s genome and become a ‘permanent fixture of the cell’ leading to autoimmune problems and cancers in some people who have had the vaccinations. He also noted that these genome changes can ‘last for generations’.”
