Your Quantum Homework

If we’re going to be talking about the whole Trump / Q / Quantum thing (AND WE ARE!), then it’s important to refresh ourselves on what the heck this “quantum” stuff is, anyway. THAT lesson will be coming soon – maybe later this week.

Steve did a number of posts on quantum mechanics, and I’m going to link them below as OPTIONAL study material.

However, today’s assignment is more fun. All it is, is to watch a video by Veritasium – a fairly easy and fun video – that I MAY have shown you before – probably not, but I can’t be sure.

The video appears to be in the context of relativity, but it’s really about the apparent conflict between quantum mechanics and relativity, and how that was – more or less – resolved.

The great thing about this video is that it actually takes you all the way to the current state of knowledge, and it does it without very much math at all. It’s pretty ingenious.

That’s it! Check out the video, and play it a second or third time, if you need to double or triple up on parts of it.
