Why Your Insurance Company Will Force You To Take Gene Therapy

Cholesterol-lowering success in monkeys using CRISPR gene therapy has scientists hot to trot for human trials

You may not realize it yet, but if you think the phony war over cholesterol ON YOUR PLATE was bad, wait until you see what’s coming. The war over cholesterol production IN YOUR GENES is about to ignite.

Yes. YOU are going to be FORCED by your medical insurance to get GENE THERAPY, because they won’t want to pay for statins or stents.

Nobody has told you about this stuff, just like nobody told you that human fertility was going to take a hit from a phony Chinese pandemic with a gonad-seeking mRNA vaccine, containing a fertility-decreasing spike protein, and possibly some kind of tracking mechanism, although we’re not 100% certain on the last and least damaging of those three – at least not yet.

I CAN tell you that magnets DO NOT stick to COVID swab sites (AS IF!). What I cannot tell you is that you or your children will definitely be able to have children, if you got an mRNA vaccine for COVID-19.

But all THAT is another story. Back to cholesterol.

Cholesterol has a beautiful structure, if you have an appreciation for that sort of thing. It’s not just a FAT – it’s a STEROID. It’s a big blob of molecular wood putty that can be used for all kinds of things. The structure is remarkably similar to some of the most potent hormones in our bodies.

Yeah, sometimes there is a lot of SCRAP cholesterol laying around. But look at wood prices now, and realize that – yeah – cholesterol is part of HEALTH and BUILDING STRONG BODIES.

Let’s not get into how phony the whole demonization of cholesterol is. THAT is another story. But let me tell you – if there was ever an “unjustified fat shaming”, it was the WAR ON CHOLESTEROL.

The point is, we all know how many of us were forced onto a class of drugs called statins to lower our cholesterol levels. These drugs have a variety of serious side effects, including memory loss and dementia.

And yet doctors went along with the MANDATORY nature of doing something about cholesterol. Am I not right? Of course I’m right, and you know it. Your doctor was TRAINED to be all “mandatory” about fixing your cholesterol.

Well, there is going to be something that will eliminate the need for statins.

GENE THERAPY.

Brought to you by globalists, the Bidenistas, the Bidenazis, and the Phony Plannedemic.

Trust me, they KNEW THIS WAS COMING when they released the virus.

They KNEW they would use the “gene therapy” vaccines for the phony villain pandemic.

They KNEW they would go after cholesterol FIRST, because they had already set it all up.

They KNEW all this all along.

And now let me prove it to you.

There is an amazing article – excellent reporting – that you need to read. I’m only going to give you PART of it, so that you go see the rest. Or just go there now.

Here is the first part, if you want to stay here and be tempted.

MORE: https://cen.acs.org/pharmaceuticals/gene-therapy/One-time-CRISPR-hit-lowers-cholesterol-monkeys/99/i19

NOW – if you want to see whether ANYBODY thinks this might be a bad idea, you have to actually go to the end of the article. But you will also see that there are some of these people who are RARIN’ TO GO on gene therapy in humans.

The therapy’s efficacy in monkeys shows it is ready to be deployed in people, Urnov says. “At this point, only clinical data will tell us what the real promise of this approach is.”

Oh yeah? Not all agree!

Permanently disabling it with CRISPR may therefore have unforeseen effects, he says. “When you do the CRISPR, you’re stuck,” he says. “What’s the antidote?”

Bigger still, is this problem.

THE SAME HORRIFYING ISSUE that was just found with the mRNA vaccines, and I just discussed in the previous post, is mentioned by a critic of the technology in the C&EN article.

So again, I urge you to read the full article, to understand how CLOSE we are to mandated gene therapy.

The Spike Protein’s Purpose Betrayed By Its Own Superiority

TL;DR – you MUST listen to a short podcast of a scientist revealing the latest research on the spike protein vaccines. The VACCINE ITSELF (not just the spike protein – the mRNA vaccine itself) is persistent and is not only concentrating in ovaries – THE VACCINE ITSELF IS EXCRETED – e.g., in breast milk. Meaning – “shedding” of *VACCINE ITSELF* is real. And then it gets worse. That COVID researcher, Bing Liu, who was murdered? He was a member of one of the first groups to discover the “snake protein” analogy – LONG BEFORE THE VACCINES WERE RELEASED.

The Snake Protein – whoops – I mean Spike Protein – it’s all blowing up now.

The information is coming so fast I can barely get it into here before some NEW thing blows up.

Let’s start here.

BIG THANKS to DP for putting me on this trail.

That link is to an interview HERE:

https://omny.fm/shows/on-point-with-alex-pierson/new-peer-reviewed-study-on-covid-19-vaccines-sugge

This is really worth listening to. The doctor WARNS that what he’s going to say is a bit scary.

This is 9 minutes and 11 seconds you NEED TO HEAR.

This leads to his point about concentration in the ovaries.

Follow the above tweet to THIS tweet:

Which retweets THIS tweet:

And you can look at the animal data.

Observe how it persists for a long time. Look how it concentrates in the ovaries over that long period of time. Those numbers are SHOCKER and HUGE and stand out like a SORE THUMB.

THEY KNEW.

This same tweet is just a gold mine in the replies. Let’s start off with the SNAKE protein. You remember my last post about that?

Spike Protein = Spike Protein ≈ Snake Protein

Using Principles of Protein Equivalence and Analogy as Predictive Tools for Coronavirus Understanding Surely you’ve heard of the BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER. The brown recluse is related to several other recluses, and a couple of other families of spiders, that all have a similar venom – a protein called sphingomyelinase D. This is an enzyme that …

OMG, I was so much righter than I thought. Look at this REPLY to the tweet above.

Let’s just blow up those images.

First, some snake protein motifs in the spike protein (direct evidence). There is also correlation to rabies neurotoxin.

This comes from a French lab and was received in April of 2020.

The second, referenced tweet, brings in Bing Liu, the murdered researcher.

Who was actually one of TWO murdered COVID-19 researchers:

So what was this Bing guy’s lab working on?

Here is a sample:

This means they discovered the SNAKE PROTEIN ANALOGY. Before May 2020 was out. Bing was killed on May 2, 2020.

That comes from THIS paper, sent for review on May 26, 2020.

https://www.pnas.org/content/117/41/25254

Here is an archive of the paper, just in case:

https://archive.is/VdjE9

The author of the tweet, “alberto silva”, archived a tweet showing that he figured this out in November of 2020, before the vaccines were released.

ARCHIVE: https://archive.is/OfcuG

OK? Look – I’m sorry – this is such extreme bullshit, that I am finally starting to understand WHY “people” are pulling out all the stops here.

They have a PLAN.

They have an AGENDA.

I suspect that Bing Liu was mouthing off about the protein analogy in ways that threatened the WHOLE SPIKE PROTEIN VACCINES – or more likely the REAL PURPOSES of the vaccines.

Sure, there was money involved, but I think there was also a lot of AGENDA.

I mean – let’s just say that I know a certain researcher who didn’t die in a lab accident that used MK to pull it off, which lab accident was very convenient to both money and agenda, and would have been even more convenient had both injured parties DIED.

And now we’ve got what looks like TWO MK murders – one of a COVID researcher who spotted the problems with the full spike protein vaccines – the second an Army doctor connected to the origins of the pandemic in Wuhan. In these cases, MK was likely used on third-party violence-prone individuals.

This is WAY bigger than Fauci. And THAT is likely why the Democrat media is setting Fauci on fire.

It’s a FIREBREAK. It’s a CUOMO KISSING SCANDAL DIVERSION.

It’s WAY, WAY, WAY bigger than Fauci.

DO NOT SETTLE FOR FAUCI.

THIS BRINGS DOWN THE WHOLE CABAL.

I am not kidding.

W

PS – From this information, one can see how luciferase actually matters – it’s used to report on WHERE THE VACCINE GOES in the crucial hidden data on the vaccines. This is potentially another reason why “luciferase disinformation” was distributed to vaccine opponents, through a variety of means, including early information about the Moderna vaccine itself, which was not true, but served as attractive chaff to keep opponents from discovering the REAL problems with and purposes of the vaccines. There are multiple reasons why this was done, but one of them is obvious now – obscuring THIS critical work. In any case, it may be possible to use the distribution of disinformation to vaccine opponents as a way to figure out who in the industry KNEW what was being covered up.

inimical

Inimical is an adjective which means…unfriendly, adverse; antagonistic; repugnant; hostile. It comes from the Latin inimicus which means ‘enemy’.

Used in a sentence:

When Democrats drop their masks and display their inimical disdain for our military, they reveal one of the main reasons why they should never hold positions of power over them.

Eternal Perspective

Living with eternity in mind is the wisest way to live. An eternal perspective keeps us from chasing empty dreams and material gratification. It keeps us from wasting our years pursuing temporal things that we can’t take with us when we die. We gain an eternal perspective when we think of our lives as a 1000-foot rope with a black tip on one end: the rope symbolizes our existence; the black tip is our life on earth. We tend to focus all our passion and energy on the black tip while giving little thought to the rest of the rope.

There are several ways to develop and maintain an eternal perspective on life:

1. Make certain you have been born again (John 3:3). Eternity awaits all of us, but the only way to ensure that we spend eternity in heaven with God is to be born again. That new birth results in a renewed spirit and a new desire to please God. When we accept by faith the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on our behalf, the Holy Spirit moves into our spirits and births us into God’s forever family (Romans 8:15-17). It’s at that point that we begin to gain an eternal perspective.

2. Be filled with the Holy Spirit (Acts 4:31; Ephesians 5:18). We receive the Holy Spirit as a gift the moment we are saved (Acts 2:38), and He continues to work in our lives. However, the degree to which we submit ourselves to His transforming work is the degree to which we can live with an eternal perspective. When we are “filled” with the Spirit, we are totally yielded to Him. He has control of us. Galatians 5:16 says that, if we walk by the Spirit, we will not gratify the lusts of our flesh. Sinful self-gratification, focused on the things of this world, cannot coexist with an eternal perspective. The solution for self-centeredness is to surrender to the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:20).

3. Store up treasure in heaven. Jesus said, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Matthew 6:19:21). The treasures we store for eternity are the things done for Christ on earth. Even offering a cup of cold water to a servant of the Lord is cause for reward (Matthew 10:42). An eternal perspective is one that has shifted from earthly concerns to heavenly ones and invests time, energy, and resources in God’s kingdom.

4. Spend time with God and His Word (Psalm 119:11). We would not expect our cars to go a thousand miles on a single tank of gas. Yet, we think a quick prayer or a tweeted Bible verse is sufficient to sustain an eternal perspective for weeks or months. We need continual refilling of truth. Romans 12:1-2 calls it the “renewing” of the mind. Spending time in the presence of God invites Him to reveal areas of our lives that are not surrendered to Him. We acknowledge and confess those and then replace the lies we’ve believed with truths from His Word. This continual “washing” of the Word (Ephesians 5:26) keeps our priorities in agreement with God’s and helps maintain an eternal perspective.

5. Stay conscious of the fact that this world is not all there is. It is easy to lose ourselves in daily cares and desires. But those who live with an eternal perspective are equally aware that every day counts down toward our final journey. Second Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” We must intentionally redirect our thoughts toward that which is eternal, judging the value of decisions based on their eternal significance. Colossians 3:1:3 says, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.”

God has commanded that we live with an eternal perspective. If holding an eternal perspective came naturally, He would not need to command it. So we choose to continually set our minds on things above. As we develop a habit of setting our minds on eternal things, we begin to handle things differently from those with earth-bound perspectives. As the eternal mindset becomes part of us, other people notice and one day may ask, “How can I, too, gain an eternal perspective on life?”

Treasures in Heaven

The world treasures wealth, power and fame,
But we’re not citizens of this sphere.
We won’t win, playing the world’s games;
Our future’s above and not down here.

We can’t take it with us, that is true.
Earthly goods stay here while we go on.
Store riches above, that’s what we do,
To wait for us at eternity’s dawn.

But how can we do this from below,
With heaven’s delights so far away?
What can we do here so that we know
Our treasure waits on that Glorious Day?

God never tells us something to do
Without telling or showing us how.
It’s in God’s Word, both tried and true,
All of the blessings God will allow.

God’s first command, above all the rest,
Is love Him with all our heart and soul.
That is the way we will be blest;
That is the way to all of life’s goals.

When we love God, we live to please Him,
And want His will to direct our ways.
We are led by His Spirit within,
Teaching and guiding us through our days.

When we follow God’s will in our walk,
Doing good deeds God prepared before,
Or using our talents to build up His flock,
We’re putting treasure safely in store.

Praising, thanking, giving glory to God,
Worshiping, praying and minding His Word –
All are treasured.  Though we live lives flawed,
His mercy and grace are freely conferred.

God made us and chose us to be with Him.
He gave us His Son and gave our faith, too.
He gave us His Spirit and made us kin.
He did this for us, for me and you.

One day, could be soon, He’ll bring us home,
Our treasure, bestowed, at Christ’s Bema Seat.
And ever we’ll live with delights unknown,
But leaving our treasure at Christ’s pierced feet.

This World Is Not My Home Anon/Unk 1919

This world is not my home, I’m just a-passing through,
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue;
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

They’re all expecting me, and that’s one thing I know—
My Savior pardoned me, and now I onward go;
I know He’ll take me through though I am weak and poor,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

I have a loving Savior up in glory-land,
I don’t expect to stop until I with Him stand;
He’s waiting now for me in heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

Just up in glory-land we’ll live eternally,
The saints on every hand are shouting victory,
Their songs of sweetest praise drift back from heaven’s shore,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

Refrain:
O Lord, You know I have no friend like You,
If heaven’s not my home, then, Lord, what will I do?
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door,
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

On this day and every day –

God is in Control
. . . and His Grace is Sufficient, so . . .
Keep Looking Up

Hopefully, every Sunday, we can find something here that will build us up a little . . . give us a smile . . . and add some joy or peace, very much needed in all our lives.

“This day is holy to the Lord your God;
do not mourn nor weep.” . . .
“Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet,
and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared;
for this day is holy to our Lord.
Do not sorrow,
for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

The Wuhan Murders

Something is going on, and it ain’t pretty.

George Webb seems to believe that the AMERICAN MILITARY was behind COVID-19.

I tend to think that CHINA and its AMERICAN ALLIES (DS, DNC, CIA) were behind it.

But I will bet we both agree on one thing.

WHOEVER KILLED THE MARRIED ARMY DOCTORS HAS SKIN IN THAT GAME.

Let me back up a bit, so that this comes into focus.

Aubergine was the one who alerted me to this case HERE.

Now, if you go to that Western Journal article, HERE, you are given, without elaboration, THIS TWEET.

This account on Twitter is way overdue for being suspended to hide their stuff – let’s just save an image of that tweet.

While we’re at it, let’s archive that Western Journal article that got us to that tweet.

ARCHIVE: https://archive.fo/fYVYN

NOW – what is that tweet linked to? An article in People magazine!

Va. Couple Shot on Front Lawn in ‘Brutal’ Double Murder, Police Say: ‘They Did Nothing Wrong’

Police identified the victims as Edward McDaniel Jr., 55, and Brenda McDaniel, 63, of Springfield, Virginia, both of whom had military backgrounds

By Benjamin VanHoose

May 27, 2021 10:33 AM

Nothing about the Wuhan connection. THAT is what we are looking for. This alleged connection could be pure bullshit, but yet something stinks.

That article doesn’t really do anything other than to reinforce the connection between the murders and the attempted burglary at the same residence earlier in the week on the MONDAY – and that the police were certain these were connected. For all that’s worth, it’s sketchy as hell. Burglary?

The People Magazine article is linked to THIS local WTOP news report, which included this critical information about the “cover murder motive”:

Police said they believe the shooting Wednesday on the 8000 block of Flint Street near Redman Street was a “follow-up and related to the interactions Monday,” when police responded to a call for service and conducted an active burglary investigation.

Police Chief Kevin Davis said they know that at least one of the two men was at the home on Monday.

Davis said the motive is currently believed to be a dispute, and police are working to figure out what it was about.

Maj. Ed O’Carroll, bureau chief of Major Crimes Cyber and Forensics for Fairfax County police, said the investigation is ongoing.

“As of this moment, we have not located the firearm, but we have a lot of work to do. I mentioned the vehicle that’s now in our possession. We got a lot of things to follow up on. We want that firearm … This case does not close with these two arrests and these multiple charges. In some aspects, it’s just beginning,” O’Carroll said.

He’s asking anyone with information on what happened to call police at 703-246-7800

The McDaniels were both military doctors and colonels, and Edward McDaniel was still active with the Army.

https://wtop.com/fairfax-county/2021/05/fairfax-co-police-1-in-custody-in-fatal-double-shooting-2nd-suspect-sought/

OK – so we know that one of the killers was at the residence on Monday in connection to the “burglary”.

Now, here is MORE information about the “motive” via Axelrod-Alinsky media, NBC Washington (something like the commie media equivalent of the Washington Field Office). Note that the narrative motive actually gets recorded (very important to establish “facts”) – this is from other local coverage:

Officers were called to the home Monday about an altercation and potential burglary in progress, Davis said.

On a dispatch call to responding officers, a dispatcher can be heard saying the caller and her husband were upstairs with a shotgun in their home. “The subject” was in the basement.

“Caller is advising the subject is after her son and that he is with them upstairs,” the dispatcher said.

Two days later, the parents, not the son, were killed.

The deaths mark the ninth and 10th homicides in Fairfax County this year so far, in an increase from the count last year at this time.

A $10,000 reward for information is being offered in this case.

Stay with NBC Washington for more details on this developing story.

https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/northern-virginia/husband-wife-killed-outside-springfield-home-search-for-car-underway/2683774/

In my opinion, the parents were ALWAYS the MK target of the pliable “Seth Rich MS-13 type” “dull as a sawed nail” shooters. You Know Who is already off the charts on this one.

You will note at this point that everybody is pushing the “dispute” angle. More references (not cited here) included at the end of this post.

Running out of leads, I did some searches on the name of the deceased, the name of his hospital, and “Wuhan Games”. THAT got interesting. I found nothing direct, but I did find TWO very interesting leads, BOTH of which pointed to research by George Webb.

First, an article in Veterans Today, a very shady “John Kerry” type operation which is routinely sided with Russia and China, hiding behind the Vet Card.

This is basically supporting the Chinese counter-narrative to the earlier Wuhan Games theory that CCP spread the disease via the Wuhan games. The Chinese counter-theory, that the US started the virus at the Wuhan Games, launches off George Webb disinformation that COVID came from here. Well, yeah, it did, but that’s a little more complicated than China’s “malign blame-shifting conspiracy theory”.

LINK: https://www.veteranstoday.com/2020/03/26/us-athlete-intelligence-officer-in-china-games-named-as-patient-zero-for-covid-debunking-trump-rhetoric-updating/

George Webb is cited several times, including multiple tweets, but now that his old account on Twitter was REMOVED and then taken over by an anti-Webb Democrat troll, there is no official record to be found. However, the TEXT of the tweets remains in this article, and it’s useful to look at them. E.g.:

Patient Zero from Wuhan, Maatje Benassi, is a Dutch American woman cyclist. Her husband is also a cyclist in the US Atmed Forces (SPAWAR) and believe you be in Wahan in October of 2019. Benny Benassi is Patrient Zero in Holland, and has already made a rap video about Coronavirus pic.twitter.com/u1Z5VuYCaG— TruthLeaks – Investigative Journalist George Webb (@GeorgWebb) March 22, 2020

Webb’s basic theory is that the virus was spread from Fort Detrick to China via a US military cyclist in the games, who has State Department (i.e., CIA) connections. This is where it all gets really messy, not the least of which reasons being that I suspect that at this point, Webb was being fed disinformation.

That woman cyclist is Dutch and an Italian citizen, yet is somehow in the US Army as an intelligence operative. WTF. She comes back from Wuhan and gives COVID to her relative in the Netherlands. That Webb tweet link still works, although the Instagram link to proof that her relative got the disease does not.

LINK: https://dancingastronaut.com/2020/03/benny-benassi-stuck-in-italy-due-to-nationwide-quarantine-cancels-upcoming-north-american-tour/

Because this woman was a cyclist, the cycling world took note of this theory, particularly once CHINA started using it to enlarge THEIR theory that the US spread the disease at the Wuhan games.

Here is the link to some excellent coverage of that whole angle by a cycling site:

LINK: https://road.cc/content/news/us-cyclist-patient-zero-wuhan-covid-19-outbreak-272251

Now, at this point, I tried to go BACK to the original tweet and see if I could find some kind of link to Wuhan through Twitter. THAT paid off.

Here was that original tweet:

He has a BUNCH of tweets after that which link things back to George Webb. I will just dump them here.

So Max Wells appears to have made that connection. Here are his tweets:

Let me stop here quickly and save all this stuff for when Twitter takes it down.

Bear in mind that requests for sources from these guys in the replies are not getting answers. Yeah, I get that, too, but just sayin’.

Now – go back to the timeline of “Grinch the Uncancelable” and some awesome stuff from Webb pops up.

This might be worth saving:

And yeah, I’ve talked about the Army’s ferritin-based vaccine, which should avoid some of the problems of the full spike protein, by only using PART of the spike protein attached to ferritin – in many ways like the Novavax technology. Yet I am really thinking this Magnet Challenge stuff is a high-quality disinformation meme.

But might the Army have decided to protect its people being sent to Wuhan, if they had intel that the ChiComs were going to infect their people? Sure might be smart to vaccinate them.

Tons of good stuff.

At this point, I think we are in a vortex of both information and disinformation. But something interesting is going on.

I encourage everybody to research this topic, bearing in mind that there is much trickery abounding.

2021·05·29 Joe Biden Didn’t Win Daily Thread

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Lawyer Appeasement Section

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.

Spot (i.e., paper) Prices

Last week:

Gold $1880.70
Silver $27.63
Platinum $1172.00
Palladium $2834.00
Rhodium $25,500.00

This week, 3PM Mountain Time, markets have closed for the weekend.

Gold $1904.50
Silver $28.03
Platinum $1187.00
Palladium $2878.00
Rhodium $24,400.00

Unfortunately, when looking at the prices only on Friday, you lose some things. Rhodium took a hard hit during the week, dropping below $20,000. At least, according to Kitco. A different site I sometimes check never noticed that drop, so when rhodium came right back up again the downward plunge disappeared, for them. Gold definitely seems to be on an uptrend, and perhaps silver is too. Rhodium is off its all time high, but I am waiting to see if it will truly start to go down.

Torque and Angular Momentum (Part V of a Long Series)

Introduction

Having run out of precious metals to babble about, I’m going to change tacks. If you’ve been here a while, you might remember two postings I did on stars. These were independent posts, having nothing to do with politics (poly = many, ticks = blood sucking bugs) and at least some people enjoyed them. I wanted to go to the opposite end of the scale and talk about a certain sub-atomic particle, but then I realized that the best way to do that would be a very, very, very long post. (And yes, it’s a subatomic particle, but it has a lot to do with stars.) A huge part of it would be explaining where physics stood in 1895, and how three discoveries in the next four years basically overturned things, and eventually led to that subatomic particle, the real star (ahem) of the whole series.

So I decided to break this story up into pieces. And this is the fifth of those pieces.

And here is the caveat: I will be explaining, at first, what the scientific consensus was in 1895. So much of what I have to say is out of date, and I know it…but going past it would be a spoiler. So I’d appreciate not being “corrected” in the comments when I say things like “mass is conserved.” I know that that isn’t considered true any more, but the point is in 1895 we didn’t know that. I will get there in due time. (On the other hand, if I do misrepresent the state of understanding as it was in 1895, I do want to know it.)

Also, to avoid getting bogged down in Spockian numbers specified to nine decimal places, I’m going to round a lot of things off. I use 9.8, below, for a number that’s actually closer to 9.80665, for instance, similarly for the number 32.

Dimensions and Units

I have another go-back.

I’ve been re-educating myself on a lot of this stuff, and I find I’ve been glossing over some critical distinctions.

In particular I’ve been sloppy about the one between dimensions and units. I may very well have never misused the one word to refer to the other thing, but even if not, I haven’t clearly drawn the distinction, and it may have led to some confusion (or at least the sense that I am switching my terminology without any particular reason).

To try to make it clear, let’s take as an example something that, though we’ve not covered it here, is something quite visual. Area. We all know about the area of a room in a house, and we typically measure it in “square feet” which is to say, how many squares a foot on a side will fit into the area. (If it’s irregular, or has fractional measurements, obviously we can cut up our squares into pieces to fit them in.)

The units of area here are in square feet, or feet•feet or ft2. But an area could just as easily be measured in square inches, or square yards, or square centimeters, or square meters. There is also the acre (which is 1/640th of a square mile), and the hectare (10,000 square meters or one square hectometer (100 meters on a side), roughly 2 1/2 acres). Those would all be different units for area. But the dimensions of area are length x length. Length is the thing a foot, or a meter, or a furlong, or a light year, actually measures, just as an acre measures area. When we go to talking about dimensions, we’ve divorced ourselves from any particular measuring system, and we’re talking in the abstract.

So, looking at work, in metric the unit of measurement is the joule, which is a newton-meter, which in turn is a kilogram-meter/second2 • meter, or abbreviating, kg•m2/s2. But the dimensions of work are mass•length2/time2, or abbreviating, m•d2/t2. (Unfortunately m can stand for the dimension mass, as well as the unit meter, adding to potential confusion.)

Physicists–and hard scientists in general, actually, engage in something called dimensional analysis from time to time. If they’re working on proving a relationship between two different things, the dimensions had better match up properly, or they’d know to go back to the begining and start again. For example, if Einstein, while writing that famous equation, E = mc2, had not had the dimensions match up, he’d have wadded up the paper he was writing on and started over.

But there’s also unit analysis. And chemists do this a lot because they have all sorts of specialized units of convenience (like the calorie) and often have to convert from one unit to another. Of course we do this all the time as well, just rather informally, but there’s a way to lay things out so they come out right and we don’t just have to guess.

Let’s say you own a large warehouse, 330 x 660 feet. You want to brag about how big it is because you want to sell it to someone. How many acres does it cover?

As I mentioned above a square mile is 640 acres. We also know that there are 1760 yards to the mile and three feet to the yard. (Pretend you don’t know anything else, in particular forget the number 5,280.)

So you can get the right answer, guaranteed, by doing something like this:

Write: 640ac/mi2, mi/1760yd, mi/1760yd, yd/3ft, yd/3ft, 330ft, 660ft.

The last two are the two numbers that go into your area, when you multiply them together you’re multiplying two lengths to get an area. So from a dimension analysis standpoint we’re good with those, but multiplying them together gives you 217,800 ft2 and we don’t know how to relate that to acres. So for now let’s not multiply them!

That’s where the rest of the crap I told you to write comes in. Look at each one. They’re all fractions equal to one. In the first case both top and bottom are equal to a square mile (or they’re both equal to 640 acres), so that first term is equal to 1. That’s true for the other four terms too.

So you can take your 330ft x 660ft and multiply it by all five of these and not change it, since they’re all equal to 1.

Let’s combine things.

640ac • mile • mile • yard • yard • 330ft • 660ft
——————————————————————————————
mile2•1760 yd • 1760 yd • 3ft • 3ft

The first thing you can do is cancel out the units. Feet, for instance, appears on the top twice, and on the bottom twice. Remove them all! The same with yards (twice on top and bottom). And mile shows up twice too, so remove them all.

Now you’re left with nothing but “acre” in the numerator, and a bunch of numbers.

640 acre • 330 • 660
——————————————-
1760 • 1760 • 3 • 3

This means when you do that arithmetic, you will have your answer in acres.

You can do some cancelling, you can divide the 330 and 660 by 3 and get 110 and 220. Then it turns out that 1760 is 16•110 (and therefore 8•220) so you can do some more canceling and get 640 acres / ( 16•8 ). This should be readily digestible as 5 acres.

This sort of procedure can be used to convert from metric to US customary, too, provided you know a conversion factor somewhere. For example, I know the metric system weights fairly well, and I also know something about the US customary system weights, but the only conversion factor I can remember is that 31.1035 grams makes up a troy ounce. I know for regular grocery ounces it’s 28-point-something but can never remember. So if I have 500 grams of something, how many grocery ounces does that weigh?

OK, working “backwards” from the desired answer to what we have, start with 16 oz / 1 lb. Then get there from grains, and get to grains from troy ounces, and get to troy ounces from grams:

(16oz/1lb)•(1lb/7000gr)•(480gr/1ozt)•(1ozt/31.1035g)•500g.

When you go through and cancel out all the units, you’re left with oz as the sole standing unit. You can then multiply and divide all those numbers and get that 500 grams weighs 17.63696+ grocery ounces. I only have to remember ONE conversion facter from US customary to metric, so long as I know the conversion factors within the US customary system. (The internal metric ones are much easier to remember!)

OK, that’s out of the way. On we go.

Torque

Up until now we’ve been working with forces that go entirely into making the object move from one place to another.

That’s because we’ve implicitly assumed the force was directed through the center of mass of the object.

However, you know, and have probably known since the first time you tried to push on an object as a baby, what happens when you don’t line up with the object’s center of mass: The object does some combination of turning and moving, and that motion isn’t in the direction you pushed!

Let us, for now, pretend we’re on a frictionless surface (or, perhaps, in orbit, freefall, which for complicated reasons is called “microgravity” by sticklers).

Figure 1A shows an object, and a vector representing a force applied to the object. The dot is the center of mass of the object. The force does not go through that center of mass.

Figure 1B shows the vector resolved into two components, a radial component (through the center of mass) and a transverse component, perpendicular to the radial component.

If your point of view is the center of mass, the transverse component is the one you see as a vector against the background. The radial component looks like a vector pointed right at you. (Figure 1C)

Figure 5-1 Off-center orce applied to an object.

As it turns out the radial component goes into pushing the object, and the radial component’s direction, not the direction of the original force is the direction of the shove, the sort of shove we talked about way back in part 1 when we talked about mass and force.

The transverse component will set the object to turning around its center of mass. (Or, if the object is fixed to a pivot, the object turns about the pivot.) This action is called torque.

Not only that, the induced rotation will be around an axis that’s perpendicular to the radial component of the force. And it will also be perpendicular to the transverse component. (That sounds complex, it really isn’t. It’s definitely one of those picture-equals-a-kiloword things. See Figure 2.)

Figure 5-2: A force off center causes a rotation around a an axis both perpendicular to the force, and to the vector from the center of mass to the point the force is applied.

Different objects will, depending on not just their mass, but also their shape (sphere, donut, cylinder, cube, flat sheet), orientation (it makes a difference whether a cylinder is oriented so the ends are on the axis of rotation, versus whether the axis passes through the “wall” of the cylinder), and mass distribution (is the mass uniformly distributed or is, say, most of it near the center of the object), resist the torque trying to get it to turn. These factors would be multiplied by the mass of the object to come up with something called the “moment of inertia.”

(If you see the word “moment” in a physics term, it has to do with getting something to rotate, either something like this, or, say, a magnet wanting to swing to point towards/away from a magnetic pole somewhere–that’s a magnetic moment.)

The moment of inertia of a point mass, m, at a distance r from the center of rotation (the pivot point), is mr2. You can determine the moment of inertia of actual, real shapes (not point masses) either around their own center of gravity or a pivot point elsewhere, by breaking the object up into infinitesimal (almost zero size) pieces, computing each piece’s moment of inertia, then adding them up again. This can be “automated” in large part by using calculus.

Note that moment of inertia seems to have dimensions mass • distance-squared.

For example, a solid, uniform sphere had a moment of inertia about its center of I = 2/5mr2, m being the mass of the sphere and r being its radius. And of course the center of gravity is the center of the sphere. But if it’s a spherical shell (where the thickness of the shell is very small compared to the radius), it’s 2/3mr2. If it’s a thin rod of length L, spinning around a perpendicular line through the center, it’s 1/12mL2. And moment of inertia doesn’t just apply to objects completely free to move. If that rod is attached to a pivot at one end, like (say) the arm of a wrench, the moment of inertia is 1/3mL2—four times as much.

Tedious stuff and I had to memorize it then (of course) forget it.

OK, here’s an application. You’re driving down the road and have a blowout. You now have the task of loosening the lug nuts on the wheel so you can change to the spare. Out comes the lug wrench, and you push on it to loosen the nut.

The handle of the wrench is a radial (displacement) vector, and you know, intuitively, that you get the most leverage if you push on it at a right angle, as far out as possible. You’re trying to loosen the nut which not only has a (very small!) moment of inertia but a lot of friction.

If it doesn’t want to come loose, you need more torque. There are two ways to increase the torque: Apply more force to the end of the wrench (making sure it’s perpendicular), or get a longer wrench.

By now you’ll have noticed a pattern. Any time doubling some piece of the puzzle doubles the effect, the formula is going to involve multiplying by that factor. In this case this happens to both the the force and the distance (length of the wrench). We use the Greek letter tau, τ, to denote the torque. Then, if Ft is the transverse component of the force:

τ = Ftl

So you can imagine applying three newtons of force to the end of a two meter wrench (if you can imagine a wrench that long!) or twelve newtons to the end of a half meter wrench, and getting exactly the same torque either way.

Note this isn’t a vector…but really, it should be! Torque absolutely has direction! Not only righty-tighty, lefty-loosey, but you’d never try to remove the lug nut by pushing toward the car or away from it, even though that’s also perpendicular to the wrench. You’re applying a torque by doing this, but it’s not in a useful direction. (In fact if you manage to bend or snap the lug, it’s worse than useless.)

So we have two obvious vectors, a displacement (length) vector, and the direction of the force. We also know from our personal experience that a perpendicular force exerts the most torque because the entire force is transverse. Other angles exert less.

So our vector formula should depend on the angle between the vectors.

Well, we have the dot product. Is that what we want?

No, it’s not. First, the dot product does not give you a vector…and torque absolutely has direction, not just amount (magnitude).

But the second shortcoming is worse. A dot product is zero when the two vectors are perpendicular, and is maximized when the vectors are parallel (and minus that same maximum when the vectors point in exactly opposite directions). That’s the exact opposite of what we want.

The Cross Product

So pardon me for just a few seconds while I bust out in those peals of evil laughter once again. Bwahahahaha!!!

We need the other way to multiply vectors. We need the cross product.

The cross product, represented with ×, is maximized for perpendicular vectors, is zero when the vectors are parallel (or point in opposite directions) and gives you a vector answer. Perfect! It behaves exactly like torque with force vectors in various directions.

And now you know why the dot product is always written with a dot, never a “multiplication sign” like you saw in elementary school. Because when it comes to vectors, those two symbols do not mean the same thing.

First the pictorial description. Then the trig. Then how to compute it given some vectors.

First, a cross product only exists in 3D space. It won’t show up in the Donald Trump 64D Chess Open Championship. Nor will it show up in your 2D diagrams, unless you’re really showing a slice of 3D space, in which case it still won’t show up in your diagram because it will point straight up out of the diagram (or into it).

The result of a cross product between A and B, A×B, will be a vector that is perpendicular to both A and B. To visualize this, make a fat L with your right hand (your right hand, not your left hand), with the thumb sticking out from the hand at a 90 degree angle. Now point the fingers along vector A. Now bend the fingers in the direction of vector B. (Hopefully you don’t have to contort yourself too much for this part. Figure 3 is safe, as long as you follow directions and use your right hand.) Your thumb points in the direction of the cross product, so long as the angle you sweep through is less than 180 degrees. (And for that matter, more than zero–angles less than zero would bend your fingers backwards, anyways.) If it is more than that, the cross product points the opposite way.

Figure 5-3: (Lifted from Wikipedia). The right hand rule for cross products.

This is called the right hand rule. You use your right hand to determine the direction of the cross product.

OK, now here’s a thing about cross products that will seem kind of odd. Do the same thing, only do B×A. Start with your fingers along B, turn your hand around so that you can sweep towards A. Now your thumb is pointed in the opposite direction from before.

Well, now, that’s odd! A×B actually is the opposite of B×A.

A×B = – B×A.

This GIF shows the cross product of two vectors in an animation, it pauses at 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees but watch the cross product vector grow or shrink when it sweeps through the other angles.

FIgure 5-4: Again from wikipedia. Watch this GIF to see how the cross product changes with the angle between a the blue vector and b the red vector. Watch, in particular how the purple cross product arrow grows and shrinks while red vector sweeps through angles.

Now for the trigonometric interpretation. The magnitude of the cross product AxB is equal to the sine of the angle between them, times the magnitude of both vectors.

A×B∥ = ∥A∥ ∥B∥ sinθ

If A and B are unit vectors, it reduces to just plain sinθ.

Here, if you look at the angle from B to A as the opposite of angle from A to B, you can see why AxB = –BxA, because the sine of a negative angle is the same as the sine of the positive angle—except for a minus sign.

OK, now, if you’re dealing with two “raw” vectors, triplets of numbers, how do you compute their cross product?

It’s quite a bit more complicated than a dot product. However, there are a number of gimmicks to help you remember, and I’ll share my personal favorite.

Let’s take the vectors A = [2,7,3] and B = [5, 4, 6]. Let’s also take three vectors, i, j, and k. These three vectors are a physicist’s best friends, they’re unit vectors along the X, Y and Z axes. In other words, i = [1, 0, 0], j = [0, 1, 0], and k = [0, 0, 1]. (Note: I know I should put hats on them…but those characters are unavailable, so I’m settling for just using lowercase to denote a unit vector.)

Arrange things like this:

i j k
2 7 3
5 4 6

In other words, our unit vector friends, then vector A, then vector B.

Now repeat the first two columns:

i j k i j
2 7 3 2 7
5 4 6 5 4

Now start with the first i and run down and to the right, multiplying: i•7•6, which is to say 42i. This is a vector of length 42 along the X axis.

Do the same for j and k, you should get 15j and 8k.

Add these together, and get 42i + 15j + 8k. But, if you think of it, that’s just the vector [42, 15, 8], isn’t it? OK, save that off, we have to go on to the next step.

Start with k. Run down and to the left and multiply. k•7•5 = 35k. Move to the second i and do the same thing, then the final j. You should get 12i and 12j. You can add these up and get 12i + 12j + 35k. But that’s just [12,12,35], right?

OK, last step. Take the second vector and subtract it from the first:

[42, 15, 8] – [12, 12, 35] = [30, 3, -27]

Now I can say that (unless I made a boo-boo), [30, 3, -27] is perpendicular to both [2, 7, 3] and [5, 4, 6]. Which also means it’s perpendicular to the plane those two vectors are in (two vectors that aren’t parallel or antiparallel define a plane, but if the two vectors are like that then the cross product is zero).

Of course I can check that statement, and so can you. I can dot [30, 3, -27] with each of those vectors, if they are perpendicular the dot product will be zero.

[2, 7, 3] • [30, 3, -27] = 60 + 21 – 81 = 0

and

[5, 4, 6 ] • [30, 3, -27 ] = 150 + 12 – 162 = 0.

(So I guess I didn’t make a boo-boo.)

OK, that’s a kind of lengthy process. If you don’t like that, please, just remember the right hand rule and remember the gif. Those will tell you the direction, and give you a qualitative understanding of what’s going on.

Torque as a Vector

Okay, with that out of the way, back to torque. It’s the cross product of the force and the displacement vector, r, from the center of mass to where the force is being applied.

τ = r × F

We no longer need to specify the transverse component of F, the cross-producting takes care of that.

Let’s re-use the picture from Figure 5-2 and show you the torque vector.

Figure 5-5: The torque vector.

What about the units? F is a force and is in newtons, and r is a distance and is in meters. So torque is measured in newton-meters. Note this is the same units as work, but we don’t ever describe a torque in joules.

In the US customary system energy is sometimes measured in foot-pounds, and torque is quoted in pound-feet, just to keep them distinct.

And remember the direction of the torque is along the axis of rotation it’s trying to create. (In fact, it’s away from the car when loosening a lug nut, try the right hand rule to see.) If you find that counter-intuitive, you’re not alone. You might think the direction of torque ought to be the same direction as the force, or at least the transverse component of it. But on further reflection, that won’t work. In trying to loosen that rusted lug nut, I can be pushing down on a wrench sticking to the left, or I can be pulling up on the wrench while it sticks to the right. Those would be opposite torques if the direction of the torque were the same as the direction of the force. But they’re intuitively the same torque. If that isn’t so intuitive to you, then consider the case where you’re using one of those X shaped tire irons and you are pushing down on the left and pulling up on the right at the same time. The forces should cancel each other out, but clearly the torques they cause do not, they add together.

If you take both cross products left × down and right × up, both give you a vector pointing away from the car, and they add to each other.

Another way to look at is, the force, no matter where it is, is in a certain plane, the plane of the lug nuts. One way to specify a plane is to specify a line perpendicular to it. Of course, this is a vector, and can be anywhere so long as you don’t change its direction or magnitude, so a vector specifies any of a number of parallel planes (like pages in a closed book) depending on where you put it. A vector specifies a specific orientation of a plane, then,

There is actually another way to analyze a torque when you are forced to push on the lever at an angle that isn’t perpendicular. Extend the line of the force, either forward or backward. Find the point where it’s closest to the center of rotation. Use the full force at that point and the distance to that point, and simply multiply (the angle is 90 degrees, so the sine factor is 1). This works because the length reduces by the same factor as you lost by not applying the force perpendicularly; you can prove that geometrically.

Figure 5-6: By projecting the line of an off-perpendicular force, you can find a spot where it’s perpendicular (against a shorter radius vector) and that torque is the same, so it may be another method to visualize torque resulting from an odd-angled force.

Angular Displacement, Velocity, and Acceleration

Imagine a wheel, free to turn, frictionless. You push on the outer rim. That’s a torque. How much does the wheel speed up?

As you might guess, it won’t turn at a high RPM immediately but will speed up as you continue to apply the torque.

You can actually draw a useful analogy here. We talked in Part I about applying a force to am object with a certain mass, causing it to speed up and, given a certain amount of time, covering a certain distance or displacement.

For rotations, we can apply a torque to an object with a certain moment of inertia, causing it to speed up in angular velocity (RPM is a measure of angular velocity) and eventually turn through a certain angle.

It’s actually a pretty tight analogy, everything “works.”

Distance (displacement) is represented by d. Angle, as you’ve already seen, is represented by lower case Greek theta, θ. But here’s the schiff in the punchbowl: the angle isn’t measured in degrees, it’s measured in radians.

A radian is 57.295779513082320876798 degrees.

Approximately.

Where the heck did that number come from? Okay, imagine you’re at a Biden rally, there to heckle, and you’re standing on the edge of one of those silly-ass social distancing circles. And the circle has a radius of 6 feet.

Now walk along the arc of the circle exactly six feet. The angle you covered is one radian. If you were to walk completely around the circle (why not? It’s not as if Biden is worth listening to) you’d cover 6 × 2π feet (approximately 37.699111843 feet), because the circumference of a circle is 2πr. That’s 2π radians. In other words, if you’ve expressed an angle in radians, you’re giving the ratio between the distance along the arc and the radius of the circle. And for reasons I long ago forgot (if I ever truly understood them) this is the most “natural” way to measure an angle, from a mathematical standpoint. (If you take a trig class you will learn like Pavlov’s dogs to recognize, for example, π/6 as being 30 degrees [with a sine of 0.5 and a cosine of 0.866+].)

Since an angle measured in radians is distance along the arc divided by the radius, you’re dividing length by length and a radian is actually a dimensionless value.

Velocity in a straight line is represented by v, the dimensions are distance/time Angular velocity, measured in radians per second, is represented by lower case Greek omega, ω. The units are 1/s, because the angle is dimensionless. Physicists usually write it as s-1, but I’ve avoided that so far and actually written fractions.

It’s possible to think of ω as a vector! It’s circular motion, though, so we cannot use the instantaneous regular velocity, just like we couldn’t define the torque vector as being in the same direction as the force producing the torque. You can define it as r × v or you can visualize it with a variation of the right hand rule. If the fingers of the right hand are curled in the direction of the circular motion, your thumb points in the direction of the vector. So if something is rotating counterclockwise (as seen by you), the angular velocity vector points towards you. [However, do not think of an angle as a vector; it doesn’t follow certain laws of vector addition. A long story…]

Mass is represented by m. Moment of inertia is represented by capital I: I.

Acceleration (in a line) is a. Angular acceleration is represented by lower case Greek letter α. And is in radians per second squared, i.e., 1/s2 or s-2.

And we’ve already seen F (linear force) and τ (torque).

You can follow through the analogy quite well. But I want to get to a specific destination, angular momentum.

But before we go there, if you’re really alert, you may have noticed one bit of the analogy doesn’t seem like the others.

Angular displacement, angular velocity, and angular acceleration are “sort of” like their linear counterparts, but in all cases, the displacement dimension disappears in the angular quantities.

But with torque, the displacement unit doesn’t disappear, it gets worse! Force is measured in newtons, kg m/s2. Torque is measured in newton-meters, kg m2/s2. There is a distance-squared in there, versus a distance, not the no-distance-at-all we’d expect from the analogy.

But in fact this is not a problem. A torque acts to accelerate an object with a moment of inertia at a certain angular acceleration. A torque, by analogy with F=ma, ought to be:

τ = Iα

I has units kg•m2 and α has dimensions 1/s2, combined they are kg m2/s2. This turns out to be newton-meters. So the analogy actually continues to hold, thanks to the fact that the mass-analog includes d2 in its dimensions.

And this is the case for momentum, and its analog, angular momentum as well.

Momentum is p = mv, yes, it’s a vector. Angular momentum is the same sort of thing, for a spinning object. It’s symbolized by L.

And you might expect angular momentum to be the mass-analog times the velocity analog. And indeed, it is:

L =

This has dimension mass•distance2/time, md2/t or in MKS units, kg•m2/s.

You can rearrange this a tiny bit, and get L = md/td.

Notice, though, the first part of that has the same dimensions as momentum. And d of course is the distance.

It’s almost as if angular momentum is just regular momentum, times the distance from somewhere.

And indeed, the formal definition of angular momentum of a particle of mass m at a distance d from some point is:

L = r × p

It’s back!!! Here’s the cross product, again, and I could even just recycle some of my figures from earlier on by changing F to p and τ to L. In fact, what the heck, here’s figure five with the central mass removed.

Figure 5-8: Figure 5, adapted to display angular momentum since the math is very similar.

People have a tendency to think of angular momentum as having to do with spinning objects only, or maybe their outlook is a little broader and they’ll give an angular momentum to one object running in rings around another.

But actually, angular momentum applies to everything. If you’re standing by a highway, and a car goes whizzing past, then from your standpoint the car has angular momentum, even on a dead-straight highway!

That definition above doesn’t say a single solitary thing about angular velocity. It does have linear velocity built into p, however! And the car certainly has a lot of that and a lot of mass so p is huge.

When the car was a mile away, it was headed almost directly at you. The radial component was almost as big as its total speed, and there was almost no transverse component. As it drives by, it’s closer, but all of the motion is transverse. This should sound familiar.

Figure 5-8: A redo of figure 6, noting a similarity between torque and angular momentum, this is very significant for angular momentum.

Here, I recycled figure 6, same substitutions. Instead of this being about the torque for a force applied anywhere on a straight line being the same, it’s the angular momentum that’s the same anywhere along a straight line, so long as the object is moving along with constant momentum.

I remember a story problem from a physics book (I cannot find it in my old college textbook, though). A child in a playground is running in a straight line, fixing to jump onto the edge of one of those rotating platforms that have probably been banned from playgrounds now because some idiot thinks they’re white heterosexual male. He has a constant angular momentum (seen from anywhere, but in particular the axis of the platform), then at the instant he jumps onto the platform, his motion is all transverse, and now that he’s revolving about the center of the platform, his motion will remain perfectly transverse. You can mentally relate angular momentum from rotation to angular momentum of an object moving in a straight line this way.

And, here is the freaky thing. You could pick any point on the diagram, and moving objects anywhere on the diagram would maintain the same angular momentum as they move along, relative to that point, as long as they don’t interfere with each other.

Conservation of Angular Momentum

You know, if momentum is conserved in a closed system, maybe angular momentum is also conserved. And indeed that turns out to be the case! Without exception, angular momentum in a closed system, relative to a point in that system, is conserved, and that includes objects in the system spinning about an axis. So even if objects interfere with each other by colliding, or whatever), the total angular momentum will remain the same.

The almost cliche illustration of the conservation of angular momentum is to watch a figure skater spin. When her arms are outstretched, she’s turning slowly, perhaps skating through a turn. Then she brings her arms in, raising them above her head, and suddenly she’s spinning, fast. Then she puts her arms out again and slows down. She’s reducing (and then increasing) the size of the displacement, so the rotation must increase (then decrease) so that the angular momentum will stay the same.

Figure 5-9: The inevitable figure skater angular momentum demo

I also remember, but cannot find, a video of an astronaut on Skylab. He’s “standing” perfectly straight, perfectly still. His angular momentum is zero. He then kicks one leg forward, and one leg back, he then sweeps them around 90 degrees–which makes his body turn, but only while he is sweeping his feet around in arcs. Then he returns to standing. He’s managed to turn himself 90 degrees to the right, but he is again motionless. It’s a demo of the conservation of angular momentum because while his feet were moving in arcs, his body had to rotate in the opposite direction to keep his net angular momentum at zero.

And of course there is the gyroscope, but that one is complicated…and I’m going to skip it. Suffice it to say that the force pulling on the axis of the gyroscope is being crossed with the angular momentum vector (which is through the axis), and a vector in a totally different direction results. Optional homework, go find some youtube videos of gyroscopes and see what they have to say.

Applications

But now, let’s apply this to something a lot cooler than lug nuts and kids in a playground and an ice skater. How about an object in orbit around the Earth?

If it’s in a circular orbit, then it’s going to remain moving at the same speed and it’s a no-brainer, the angular momentum won’t change because neither the angular velocity nor the distance will change, and you don’t even need the vector form of the equation, because in a circle the two are at right angles, always. (Of course to verify that the direction doesn’t change, go ahead and take the cross product.)

But what about in an elliptical orbit? At one end of the ellipse, the satellite is closer than at the other end. At periapsis (closest point) and apoapsis (furthest point), furthermore, the motion at these two points is all transverse. So if angular momentum is conserved, the satellite must be moving slower at apoapsis than it does at periapsis. At any other place on the ellipse the satellite has some radial motion, it’s either climbing to its apoapsis or descending to periapsis. So those are harder to analyze.

Figure 5-10 Angular momentum is conserved even when things don’t touch as seen in a satellite orbiting a primary.

Kepler’s second law, put forward in the late 1500s (!) describes the motion of a satellite in an elliptical orbit. But it doesn’t just say the satellite slows down the higher it goes, it goes further. It says if you draw a line from the primary through the satellite, and look at the area it sweeps out in some time interval, it’s constant! A fat wedge when the satellite is close in, a skinny one when the satellite is further out.

I always wondered how the heck Kepler figured that out.

I’ve seen how it’s done today; you do some calculus on the r and p vectors after setting their cross product to a constant (because angular momentum is conserved) and it pops out, very readily, in less than five minutes of chalkboard time. (And I don’t remember exactly how, just that I was surprised how readily it occured.)

But that’s not how Kepler did it. He didn’t know about the conservation of momentum, and he didn’t know calculus. No one did at that time, because Newton wasn’t even a gleam in his father’s eye.

So I’m still wondering how Kepler did it.

Another cool application of what we learned today to the orbiting satellite, is that it’s very easy to compute the orbital inclination. The orbit is in a plane. The primary is on that plane too, it’s at one focus of the ellipse. But the plane could have any arbitrary tilt. Maybe it sits right over the equator, and maybe it’s at some tilt (like the tilted circle on a globe that’s supposed to represent the ecliptic somehow–I always thought those were silly because as soon as the Earth rotates a tiny bit, that line is wrong).

If you have a measurement of the satellite’s position at a certain point in time and its velocity (including the direction!) at that same time, and they’re vectors in the right coordinate system (one where x and y point at two places over the equator and z points through the north pole), you can take the cross product. Both of those vectors are in the plane of the satellite’s orbit. so the cross product is perpendicular to that plane.

You can then turn that cross product into a unit vector. Take the dot product of it and the k unit vector (usually taken as pointing through the earth’s axis. (Actually you can save yourself some time. Just grab the third element of the unit vector). That’s the cosine of an angle, take the arccosine to get the angle. You now have the angle between a line perpendicular to the plane of the orbit and the earth’s axis, which is the same as the angle between the plane of the orbit, and the earth’s equatorial plane. Easy peasy, doable with almost no data.

This Week’s Mystery

We have a conservation law. I usually try to come up with an 1895 mystery too. Well we have one.

Consider the solar system. 99.9 percent of the mass is in the Sun, which is about 800,000 miles across, and rotates in about 28 days. That’s a certain amount of angular momentum.

The other 0.1 percent of the mass is in the planets (with a small fraction of that small fraction in asteroids, comets, etc). They’re light weight compared to the sun, but they are far out there, and remember there is an r2 term in angular momentum. Mercury, the closest one out, is roughly 100 times as far out from the sun as the sun’s radius. Neptune is almost 100 times as far as that.

It turns out that the vast majority of the solar system’s angular momentum resides in the planets. The Sun is the “one percent” when it comes to mass, but the planets are the “one percent” when it comes to angular momentum.

The mystery is how that came about. And any theory of how the solar system was formed has to explain how the heck all the angular momentum ended up out there in the planets, because angular momentum is conserved. You can’t have the sun just shed angular momentum, it has to be transferred. So if your theory can’t explain that…it can’t explain Jack.

A number of different ideas were proposed as early as the late 1700s, perhaps the most prominent of them is called the nebular hypothesis. It suggests that the solar system formed from a shrinking nebula of dust and gas. The nebula, when initially all spread out, is going to have some very small net rotation (it’s a random melange of particles moving at random velocities, after all; the chance of them all cancelling out perfectly is close to zero). As the nebula shrinks it’s going to spin faster, a disk will end up being formed and the disk will be clumpy and the clumps will eventually form planets because the clumps will tend to attract more matter to them.

Fairly elegant, but it could not explain the distribution of angular momentum, so by the end of the 1800s it had fallen out of favor. I had a book on the planets as a kid (which was probably about ten years old when I was born) that still considered it a mystery, and contained some of the alternatives that had been proposed, including one that suggested the planets had been pulled out of the sun by another passing star’s gravity. (If that one is true, then solar systems ought to be rare, rare, rare.)

Just this once, I’ll give it away now. Unlike back then, today we can actually see some stars forming, and they are surrounded by disks of gas and dust, exactly like the nebular hypothesis. Some astronomers have done a lot of work to refine the nebular hypothesis to make it more detailed and try to address the angular momentum problem…but they still haven’t succeeded. Yet we now know it must be correct, because we can see it happening right now. So the answer to this one is, we still don’t really know. It’s conceivable (though not bloody likely) that the conservation of angular momentum is broken (even though it has been reliably true every. single. time. we have looked at it). More likely, there’s some process at work we don’t understand, perhaps even transfer via magnetic fields.

But we haven’t got to magnetic fields yet…

DEAR KAG: 20210528

It’s Food Fight Friday at Wolf’s Pub! Okay, it’s not the kind we usually think of, with teenagers flinging lunch trays and pudding all over the place. No, we’re in an existential fight for the integrity and plenitude of our food supply.

The globalist/communist elites both in our government and around the world are merrily working their plan to bring us into subjugation. Food is a big part of it. And we all know that, in the end, they will attempt to starve us into submission when all else fails.

I was going to do another marathon post with copious links and so forth, but the video I am sharing below pretty much sums up the ongoing globalist/communist revolution we’ve been seeing worldwide.

Since food is indispensable to life, it might be time to see what the crazy elites have been up to. Christian Westbrook, the Ice Age Farmer, has a conversation with Dr. Frédéric Leroy, who details the history of the elite obsession with controlling food consumption.

Btw, I highly recommend following Ice Age Farmer. He is the go-to source for what is news in the food and farming industry.

The video is almost two hours, which seems an eternity now. If you want the slideshow version, I’ll be posting many that were shared in the video. I doubt anyone here will be surprised at the deep interconnection between organizations like the UN, the World Economic Forum, Black Rock, the multinationals, and so on. It’s all here in the video.

CALVADOS!

Before we get to it, let’s enjoy a glass of Calvados, otherwise known as Apple Brandy. What a lovely drink and I had no idea that apple brandy was a big thing when our nation was young. Here’s a really nice video on how early Americans made apple brandy:

Here’s a link to some recommended calvados,  and here’s some French history and requirements for making calvados. Always the best with the French, oui?

HOUSE RULES

While we’re at it, let’s just get the niceties IN the way, shall we? Yep, rules of civil conduct here. Go to the Utree if you have a case of the nasties, or we somehow need to reconvene there.

A lovely glass of Calvados for everyone! We also have a lovely apple cider for those who don’t wish to indulge.

THE RESET OF OUR FOOD SUPPLY AND SYSTEMS

I’ll post the video just below, and then give you a good taste of the slideshow. And boy are you in for a show.

https://youtu.be/mVj5-95dkHY

The History: Yes, Rockefeller and Friends

Way back in the 1960s we have the Rockefeller Commission Report that suggests “synthetic meats” and “food from factories.” Long-term planning, eh? Now, it’s coming to fruition unless we stop them. Christian and Dr. Leroy talk about the companies now producing fake meat and how intertwined they are with the organizations that are pushing for the NWO.

Interconnected Evil

As Dr. Leroy says in the video, it is a monolith.

The Great Food Transformation???

What did that fellow just say?

Friends, they want the “affluent middle class” weak, hungry, and poisoned. The better to control us.

THEY WANT US EATING INSECTS

They want to do away with meat and dairy. They really, really do. Dr. Leroy discusses how cows use a lot of pasture land, and that gets in the way of the globalist plan of fake meat and insects for us. The cows have to go so the land has to go. Hmmmm, I wonder if that is why Bill Gates is buying farmland

Who is that Saudi prince? Yep.

Did ya know they have a One-size-fits-all Planetary Diet proscribed for the entire world population? These people are so deeply mad that it hurts to think about it. They want to cut out starches and almost all meat and dairy. We’ll be eating lentils and veggies until the cows come home. Our protein will be lab “meat” or bugs. And they will force it on us if we don’t comply.

THE RELIGIOUS ANGLE

Dr. Leroy shows the religious element involved in the food takeover. It’s the Gaia, One World Religion thing and yes, they are stark raving mad!

Transhumanism is all mixed up in their bizarre universal consciousness weirdness.

WE CAN’T FORGET CHINA!

What’s in it for the CCP? Lots, I bet!

Did I mention Black Rock is all up in this stuff? The Council on Foreign Relations? All the usual suspects want to control what we eat and how that food reaches us. Don’t get me started on blockchain. We are already seeing how the elites are purposely disrupting the supply chain, and we are seeing an unprecendented rise in food costs for ourselves and for our livestock. How could chicken scratch rise 30% in just a few weeks?

WHAT CAN WE DO?

Christian asked Dr. Leroy what can be done to stop this global takeover. The good doctor was perplexed, but he did say that we need to get connected on the local level with our food. By that, he meant we need to seek out local food producers, since not all of us can grow gardens.

Blackberries are ripening!

He said we have become disconnected from our local food sources. He also said that he is faithful to the food traditions of his culture, which includes foods such as organ meats.

I fully agree with that statement. I have put off getting in touch with a local beef rancher because it is really expensive to buy grass fed beef. But guess what? Beef prices have skyrocketed. If I’m going to pay a premium for my food, it might as well be the nutritious stuff.

On a similar note, the grocery stores have whole isles of stuff that we’re told is food, but has been so processed that it hardly passes for food. So little old me has begun a campaign to move my household to a Traditional Foods home. One step and one skill at a time.

Sourdough bread

I found Mary of Mary’s Nest, who has an online traditional foods classroom. I adore this woman. She is so thorough and earnest about leading people to food freedom. I love her quirky style and how open she is to taking us step-by-step to learning the traditional ways of cooking. Here’s her video on making a sourdough starter:

ODDS AND ENDS

By the way, I spoke with a grocery store employee today who told me that both Kroger and her company are going to allow fully vaccinated employees to wear a button that states such, and they won’t have to wear the mask. Those who aren’t vaccinated will still have to wear masks. She said it is just rumor at this point. I say a couple lawsuits should fix that right up.

Here’s another interview with Whitney Webb and the Ice Age Farmer: “AI and the War on Agriculture.”. Very informative.

Liquifying the dead and putting that in the water and/or agricultural land is SICK AS HELL!

Homesteading at Solari. There’s a part two also.

Let’s drink a toast to all the patriots in Arizona who are making that audit count in ways that could help save our republic! And may patriots in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire keep the pressure on. AUDIT! AUDIT! AUDIT!

The Magnetism Challenge: Part I

Wherein we examine, in something like “MythBusters” style, the dubious “Magnet Challenge”, without relying (too much) on the anti-scientific crutch of scientific authority

First, a confession.

The main reason I am attracted to these videos of people sticking magnets to the COVID vaccination injection sites on their shoulders, is that I love to watch normal people doing science – EVEN IF they are doing it badly, or just plain wrong.

Second, another confession.

I have a more personal reason for liking these videos. I know exactly what it’s like – as a scientist – to look for a tiny magnetic effect with substandard equipment. To me, that is the essence of science – because our equipment is rarely good enough. It could always be better. Somebody ELSE always gets the Large Hadron Collider “LARGE EURO PROVIDER” – while most of us schmoe scientists finagle “not enough time” on somebody else’s cheap and tiny second-hand machine.

And the problem with magnetism is that some of the effects we are looking for are REALLY TINY. The entire UNIVERSE seems to conspire against finding them. So when I see these people with their refrigerator magnets, trying to come up with a definitive answer to a strange and even downright stupid, but wonderful question – “does the COVID vaccine have something magnetic in it?” – against the combined opposition of media, government, and the chumped “fake science” I used to be part of – well, I’m sorry. I am going to root for the underdogs, even though these people are almost universally doing marginal, problematic, or even face-palmy science.

At the very least, they ARE doing science. And SOME of them are doing what I would almost call admirable “kitchen science”.

Most people – and that can include me – will quickly look for an “authoritative ruling” on a scientific question. Yes, that’s GREAT – but it’s not SCIENCE. It’s “armchair science” – pretty much like armchair anything. There is very little skin in the game – no pun intended. But God bless anybody who says “Hey! Let me see if *I* can figure this out for myself!”

Skin in the game. HELL YEAH.

Indeed, I remember the last time I did some kitchen science – and discovered that – despite the LIES of PBS propagandists – masks were robbing me of oxygen and reducing cognition – MEASURABLY.

The Bidening of America – How Cognitive Decline is Being Forced Upon Us All Through the ChiNazis’ Useful Idiots, the Mask Nazis

TL;DR – skip down to “Crucial Experiment” and read how you can prove to yourself that masks cause real and measurable cognitive decline that lasts long after you unmask. NPR and other leftists who say masks don’t affect you and your children are LYING. LOOK, it’s time to be blunt. Senility – Cognitive Decline – …

SO – what I want to do here – is to follow the “Mythbusters” model – a GREAT pathway into science – and “firm up” the “Magnet Challenge”.

I don’t want to decry it. I don’t want to “debunk” it. I want to make it rigorous, so that we can prove TO OURSELVES whether or not (1) people are getting vaccines which have some kind of “magnetic” component (we’ll firm that idea up), and, no matter what, (2) whether such a thing is scientifically possible based upon known science.

Does that sound fair? Does that sound even-handed?

I’m very open to this weird idea of magnetic vaccines – real or hoax. I would love to find out, one way or another, the answers to these to questions – yes or no. I take as much joy in killing theories, as I do in confirming them. And on the way there, when one side starts winning – “brake” or “accelerator” – I instinctively look for the other one to “challenge” what seems to be winning.

This is how the SCULPTURE of “working theory” emerges from the STONE OF TRUTH. Even if, as may be the case here – that sculpture could be a bit of a Fauci bobble-head.

The Plan

We’re going to do this in several parts. This FIRST ARTICLE will concentrate on the Magnet Challenge itself.

FIRST – we look at the Magnet Challenge as has been seen in videos, and figure out (as you will see) what parts are obviously WRONG.

SECOND – we look at MAGNETISM ITSELF – to get some background on what we need to know to FIX the Magnet Challenge. We want to be comfortable with magnetism before we get down to business.

THIRD – we look at how the Magnet Challenge might actually be fixed. We will only get part-way into that.

In the SECOND ARTICLE, coming in a week or two, we look at “making it real” – and ask a crucial question. Are “magnetic vaccines” even possible? And bigger still – are there ANY “magnetic injections” that people with an agenda might try to implement?

You will be shocked.

Magnetism – which is a bit like the kid sister of electricity – is very much like one of the young female characters in a modern “X Men” saga. She’s under-rated and under-appreciated – until she saves everybody’s ass. I personally think magnetism is beautiful – almost to the point of prejudice. Yeah, if somebody finds convincing evidence of a SORDID, wart-like, unbecoming, magnetic monopole, I will let it convince me. But until then, as far as I’m concerned, the magnetic monopole is sacrilege on the order of gay Jesus porn movies where THE VIRGIN AIN’T. Ugly, wrong, and needless. GROW UP!

Now – I’m not going to get into the theory of magnetism itself, because that is quite unnecessary for the task at hand. Steve is doing a marvelous job explaining (1) mass, force and gravitation, (2) velocity and momentum, (3) energy and potential, and (4) introductory electromagnetism. What I’m doing here is leafing off all of that in a very shallow way, into the magnetism of materials – just a wee bit – so that we can look more critically at how to do science honestly.

We are going to see if – just using GOOD kitchen science – we can figure out how to make BAD kitchen science be a thing of the past.

To quote my new favorite video…..

“Don’t reboot it – just patch!”

Magnet Challenge Videos: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

THE BAD

The FIRST “Magnet Challenge” video that I saw was one of the best examples of “bad science” that I have seen in a long time. “Spock wept”, to put it bluntly.

This is the one where the black-masked, “zaftig”, blonde woman appears to be at home in front of her big-screen television set, having just gotten the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and “tries” to stick a magnet to both shoulders – first the shoulder in which she got the injection, then the other.

It’s very hard to find this or other videos now, because anti-science, pro-authoritarian, Menshevik Soviet diaper-CEO YouTube has hidden most of them. Even Rumble seems to have hidden most of their Magnet Challenge videos. I did find a source video that includes footage from the original, but I’m saving most of that for below. You will see the video in its entirety then.

Instead, here are some stills. First, the lady showing off the vaccinated arm, with the magnet sticking to the injection site.

Next, the other arm, right before she lets go, and the magnet falls off.

It is immediately obvious to anybody with ANY exposure to science that this woman does NOT, in fact, perform this test in an “equal” way on her two arms. Now I’m not saying that she didn’t observe some difference – that the magnet didn’t behave differently between the two shoulders. What I’m saying is that she didn’t give the shoulders an “equal chance” to either stick or fail.

Is it deception? Is it self-deception? We don’t need to know yet. All we need to know, is that it’s not science.

There is a LIST of differences that can be seen in the video.

To begin with, the lady’s vax arm is held at an outward angle, though toward the camera, making the relaxed angle hard to see. In contrast, her non-vax arm is held in tightly and more nearly vertical at the shoulder, with her forearm across her abdomen.

Next, you can see in the second picture above, that she depresses the “non-vax” magnet with her index finger, guaranteeing that there will be a spring force when she releases it – and yes there is, as she very quickly pulls her finger away, and the magnet flies off.

In contrast, she “babies the magnet” on the vax side, gently holding it up with the middles of several fingers, NOT at the tips, and moving it around AND pressing it lightly and repeatedly for several seconds until it takes hold and STAYS. When it finally sticks to her satisfaction, she lets go gingerly.

This is where I want to STOP THE FILM and talk about how minor of an effect she is presumably looking for. You can literally see how TINY it is by the fact that she’s “babying the magnet” on a shoulder that is less than vertical.

What she is doing is trying to demonstrate an opposition of at least 3 forces:

  • possible minor magnetism
  • guaranteed reliable gravity
  • variable “surface forces”

We all understand that “smooth objects may stick temporarily to skin” – right? Every child who has played around in the bathtub realizes that even a bit of moisture can increase this effect, too. I am not going to get into what those surface forces may be, although they are, down deep, “minor electrostatic” in nature.

“Things stick to things”, shall we just say. Not much, always, but quite a bit, sometimes.

Given this fairly large “minor” effect, plus the reliable effect of gravity that varies with angle, we are not being honest if we FAVOR or DISFAVOR either of those effects – gravity or surface attractions – and also spring forces – on one arm versus the other, while using a metric of “falls off or doesn’t fall off”.

She did NOT give it a fair test.

Now – before we go arguing about whether or not there could STILL BE a real effect here, despite her clear BIAS toward “magnetic vaccination”, let’s look at some AWESOME kitchen science.

This kitchen science does NOT disprove magnetic vaccinations. What it DOES do is disprove the simplest forms of the Magnet Challenge as being sufficient to prove magnetic vaccination. It is a subtle point, but one that we must keep in mind if we’re being honest and unbiased.

This brilliant “disproof” of the sufficiency of the “Magnet Challenge”, very ironically, was being BLOCKED by the “Brave” browser. While they stopped censoring THIS video, I’m uncertain if they’re still censoring others.

Not only am I incredibly disappointed in the obvious censorship by Brave – I’m delighted to have in hand an example of why censorship of people TRYING to find the truth is always wrong.

I *delight* in using error to show truth – it’s one of THE BEST WAYS to make people smarter. And yet, the CEOs of Brave and YouTube – obviously intelligent people – engage in such censorship. This is what socialism does. People may not think they’re socialists, but they will carry socialist memes like pack animals – as fervently and reliably as if they were committed socialists. Even “anti-socialists” do this, when they behave as controlled opposition.

Here is the video – maybe it will work with your browser. Like I said, it’s working with Brave now.

Now, I’ve included that embed code just on the off chance that your browser will show the video, but if not, then first, here is a picture of Brave blocking the video…..

Now – let’s look at two stills from the video.

First, we see where a guy has “stuck” a key to a place on his arm that is almost certainly unvaccinated – just above the inside of his wrist.

This is all quite brilliant for multiple reasons. He shows the key, and it is a familiar, cheap, non-steel, light metal, probably mostly zinc or aluminum alloy, key. These are never attracted to a magnet, nor can they be magnetized. They ARE light enough to demonstrate surface forces as being comparable to gravity. Best of all, by using a KEY, which will tend to “torque off” if the key is not pointing “down with gravity”, he can show to some extent the direction “down” in the video,

As seen in the video, surface forces are comparable to gravity. This means that if we state, for the vertical axis (think about Steve’s lessons here), that…..

MF + SF >= GF

[magnetic forces plus surface forces UP must be greater than or equal to gravitational forces DOWN]

…..as a condition of testing for the presence of magnetic forces, then we have just shown that this method cannot be used to show the presence or absence of magnetic forces.

SURFACE FORCES ALONE CAN ACCOUNT FOR RESISTANCE TO A FALL.

And it gets better.

Yes. He actually takes it past vertical – demonstrating that the surface forces are SO STRONG that they can resist a certain amount of “peeling force” by gravity.

Thus, we are DONE.

The Magnet Challenge is NOT sufficient to tell us if people got a “magnetic vaccination”.

THE EXPERIMENT MUST BE MODIFIED OR REPLACED.

And YES – we will get to that in a minute. But first…..

THE UGLY (YET BEAUTIFUL)

Remember that I found a stashed version of the first video of the blonde lady on Bitchute? That bigger stashing video was actually an episode of Del Bigtree’s The Highwire show, with host Jefferey Jaxen, and reporter Carmen Estel of “Mom on the Street”.

LINK: https://www.bitchute.com/video/FApEqfMvbOYw/

In addition to Jefferey providing a good short compilation of some of the prior videos, Carmen actually wandered out onto Laguna Beach and tested a variety of young people. She got 15 people who had gotten vaccines to try the magnet test on their injection site. Out of 15 people, for 6 the magnet “stuck” and for 9 it “did not”.

Go ahead and watch – see what you think.

It was ALMOST good science – but not quite. The attempt was beautiful, but it was still a bit ugly.

The one thing that would have made this experiment actually meaningful, would have been to do a CONTROL EXPERIMENT on the NON-VACCINATED ARM of each participant.

This would NOT have made the experiment perfect, or even good – it would have made it BETTER.

And THAT is where we need to go next. How could we test for a “magnetic vaccine” using “kitchen science” if we really wanted to “do it right”?

Let’s go MYTHBUSTERS.

MythBusting Magnetism and The Human Body

MythBusters is a fascinating part of “Fake Entertainment” that looks at “urban legends and myths” and tries to see if (1) the legends and myths are true, and (2) if not, can the legends and myths be MADE TO BECOME TRUE by “improving” the myth, using better, smarter, or more modern technology.

MythBusters is still a part of “fake science” – mostly by omission. The MythBusters team is not allowed to pursue certain topics or answers, due to pressure by government, industry or activist groups.

Don’t believe me? Try this.

Thus, certain myths are allowed to be debunked, but others are maintained by omission. Most of all, TRUE “myths” are kept in “myth status” by not allowing them to be examined. This is a key part of “fake science”.

Nevertheless, MythBusters does wonders for science. Most of all, the show promotes the true scientific foundation of free and honest inquiry by “normal people”. And while THEY cannot pursue everything, WE (almost) CAN.

We will begin OUR “mythbusting” of vaccine magnetism with even greater freedom than MythBusters, because we will pursue truth regardless of the desires of government, industry, and activist groups.

Let’s start with MRI – Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

One of the most important things you can realize about strong magnetic fields, like those in an MRI machine, is that their danger profiles for metal objects VARY with the SIZE, the COMPOSITION, the SHAPE, and the PLACEMENT of the metal objects.

BIG iron and steel objects like oxygen tanks and floor polishers are extremely dangerous, because they have a lot of IRON and a lot of weight. The forces produced upon them by a strong magnetic field are tremendous. A human being holding onto the object, or in the way of it, is in great danger.

Intermediate sized objects – especially guns – pose intermediate dangers. They tend to get yanked from holsters and fly against the machines, where they can’t be removed until the machine is turned off.

Smaller FREE objects can become missiles, by the field doing WORK on them, to accelerate them to dangerous velocities.

https://youtu.be/ug3e9W5H0jI

You see that title – “WHY ABSOLUTELY NO METAL SHOULD ENTER AN MRI ROOM”? Well, I’m here to tell you, it’s not true. MRI technicians DO let metal into MRI rooms – they are just VERY CAREFUL about what metal goes in and comes out. You will see.

In fact, on the other end of the spectrum, a small implanted metal object – depending upon the SHAPE and LOCATION in the body – may not be dangerous at all. This is why MRI techs ask very detailed questions about possible internal metal objects.

Thus, when “Mythbusters Kari” was injected with an RFID tag containing a ferrite-core antenna, and was stuck into an MRI machine, the tag was NOT heated up, nor was it ripped out of her. In fact, she didn’t notice anything.

This is because the ferrite in the antenna is smaller than a grain of rice, and it is located inside a strong object, located in a structurally strong part of the human body. The total magnetic force on the object, even under a huge magnetic field, is miniscule compared to the weight of a human arm or leg, or to the strength of human skin, flesh, and bone. The small object is happy to remain exactly where it is, without pain or injury.

Even older pacemakers can be happy in older MRI machines, when run properly.

I was surprised to learn, when I got an MRI, that I could NOT wear a necklace, but I could wear my wedding ring, regardless of material. If you think about it, this makes sense. One object (the wedding ring) was slightly outside the machine – the other (the necklace) would not have been. One object (the wedding ring) was firmly held in place by a heavy body part which normally withstands strong forces – the other was not. One object (the necklace) had the potential to fly around and break or tear under the field – the other did not.

Note that both the MRI machine itself AND the little ferrite-core antenna illustrate an important yet very simple principle of magnetism – the idea that “bringing lots of little magnets together” creates a stronger and stronger field. That works in reverse, too. Break the magnet apart, into separate smaller magnets, and the field of each gets weaker and weaker.

The implications here are simple, and are directly related to the experience of MythBuster Kari, who had a SINGLE UNIFIED magnetizable body placed within her. One little “big” magnet.

A REAL “magnetic vaccine” is going to experience no more force than an RFID with a ferrite core antenna, in terms of reacting to a larger magnetic field. Nobody who got a COVID vaccine, even if it was chock full of iron or ferrite nanoparticles, is going to experience anything “ripping out of them” in an MRI – much less next to a rare earth refrigerator magnet. The real question is whether EITHER a real magnetic vaccine or a small magnet placed next to it would experience any visible force AT ALL.

Thus we KNOW that we should expect a VERY SMALL FORCE IF ANY, from ANY type of “magnetic” vaccine. It’s not going to be “magnetically dangerous”.

Yes – a steel razor blade embedded next to one’s aorta might be one thing under an MRI. But small, blunt, magnetizable implants, located in “safe” places where they are strongly supported, are not going to be trouble.

This means that if we are dealing with a SMALL PERMANENT MAGNET – even a small but powerful rare earth magnet – instead of the MRI machine, we are not going to expect a HUGE reaction with any kind of metal under somebody’s skin, or bigger still, if it’s deep in their arm muscle.

And further still – if it is a SMALL effect, we need to start asking EXACTLY HOW SMALL? Is it even going to be visible?

AH – now we’re ready to do REAL SCIENCE. More or less. We will start off with some background, and then get increasingly into “kitchen physics”.

Real Fieldwives of Magnetism

You may not realize it, but pretty much everything reacts to a magnetic field. Most people are only familiar with what reacts VISIBLY to a magnetic field – that being certain objects containing iron, as well as those containing a few less common elements with similar “ferromagnetic” properties

But the truth is, anything with charged parts somewhere in it, on it, or around it, can react with a magnetic field – and EVEN the lowly, fundamental, neutral neutrino, MAY interact with magnetism, by non-standard mechanisms – making the potential magnetic properties of neutrinos a field of study – and (IMO) much more likely to be real, than the horrid chimera of broken theory known as the magnetic monopole.

I don’t want to get too deeply into the kinds of ways that matter responds to magnetic fields, because one really can’t do it without leaning heavily on more obscure aspects of quantum mechanics, but several classifications of response are very useful in understanding what is going on.

Ferromagnetism – is the familiar response of IRON, many types of steel, adjacent metals cobalt and nickel, and other substances like magnetite (lodestone) or chromium dioxide, which can be MAGNETIZED to some degree. These are substances which REALLY LIKE to be in a magnetic field, and to even form permanent magnets themselves.

Paramagnetism – is the property of many elements and substances which have what are called “unpaired electrons”. It is in the same direction as ferromagnetism – meaning such things LIKE to be in a magnetic field. However, paramagnetism is MUCH weaker than ferromagnetism. In fact, it is very difficult to measure, sometimes, because TINY ferromagnetic impurities and contaminants can and will throw off measurements of paramagnetic substances.

Diamagnetism – is the property of things with fully “paired” electrons. It is the “default” magnetism of most things in this world. It is generally extremely weak, and it OPPOSES a magnetic field. Thus, diamagnetic substances want to LEAVE a magnetic field. They repel either end of a magnet – although weakly. Diamagnetism is also difficult to measure properly because of ferromagnetic and paramagnetic impurities.

Now – I want to take a small DETOUR into diamagnetism.

Visible Diamagnetism

Except for a few geeks here, most of you have probably never seen visible diamagnetism before. You could even call it “anti-magnetism”. The reason most have never seen it, is not only because it is weak, but also because unlike common visible [ferro]magnetism, which only needs one common element – IRON – simple visible diamagnetism with objects requires MORE – in most cases THREE more elements. In what follows, we will be seeing very powerful iron-boron-neodymium magnets being repelled by bismuth and graphite – two substances with so much diamagnetism, it can become easily visible.

Here is a beautifully simple demonstration of how water – which is weakly diamagnetic – is repelled by a magnetic field – in this case provided by a strong, modern, permanent Nd-Fe-B magnet.

There are very cool videos of something called diamagnetic levitation. Sometimes these are actually demonstrations of “diamagnetic repulsion being used to stabilize magnetic levitation“. There is a difference, and I want you to understand it. I find that understanding the differences HELPS to understand magnetic effects in general – both diamagnetism and paramagnetism/ferromagnetism.

Here is a table-top demonstration of PURE diamagnetic levitation.

This is a diamagnetic substance – the graphite in an ordinary pencil lead – being pulled down by gravity into a strong magnetic field generated by powerful diametrically magnetized permanent magnets. As the graphite is pulled down, the diamagnetic response of the material increases until it balances gravity. This is simple, pure, diamagnetic repulsion from a magnetic field.

Now, let’s see what one can do with that in a laboratory.

Yes. That frog experiment led to an IgNobel Prize, but the same investigator later got a Nobel Prize for his investigation of a diamagnetic champion – graphite – which he was able to reliably study as 1-layer-thick graphene – which substance is changing the world.

LINK: https://slate.com/business/2014/05/nobel-prize-in-physics-andre-geim-went-from-levitating-frogs-to-sciences-highest-honor.html

Better yet, this frog experiment is explained as part of a VERY nice explanation of the different kinds of magnetism:

Now – there are also some great pictures and videos of diamagnetic substances “floating” above strong ferromagnets.

Here is a video of it – again – pure diamagnetic levitation – resistance to falling into a magnetic field.

There are other much cooler pictures, however, that are NOT ALWAYS pure diamagnetic levitation. The following three pictures show permanent magnets floating above highly diamagnetic “pyrolytic graphite”. These pictures MAY BE somewhat pure diamagnetic levitation, but it is likely that they are using a “lifter magnet” somewhere above the picture – not only to lift the floating magnet to some extent, but to help stabilize it from moving off the center of the diamagnetic surface.

To understand that physics, go HERE, to the video below, for a great amateur demonstration.

What you will see is diamagnetic repulsion being used to stabilize magnetic levitation.

What this apparatus does is create a little energetic valley between the bismuth poles. Magnetic levitation wants to pull the little magnet up to the bigger magnet above – but diamagnetic repulsion fights against both gravity going DOWN and the magnetic attraction going UP. At just the right amounts (a small range) of magnetic force UP, everything balances in stable levitation.

It’s not as easy to SEE the diamagnetic repulsion / levitation in this case, but again, there are three forces involved – gravity, magnetic attraction, and diamagnetic repulsion.

In the pencil lead demonstration, gravity forces the diamagnetic substance down into the magnetic field until the opposing diamagnetic repulsion balances gravity, creating stable levitation. Similarly for the graphite disk floating over the array of cube magnets.

In this last demonstration, that same sort of repulsion, in reverse, happens at the bottom bismuth plate, but to get better “lift”, the floating magnet is both lightened and center-stabilized by a lifter magnet. A SECOND bismuth plate keeps the floating magnet from going UP to the lifter magnet.

It’s a little bit cheaty, but even Harvard calls it “Diamagnetic Levitation“.

Though if you hanker for the beautiful simplicity of PURE diamagnetic levitation, click this link for 2 awesome videos and 5 images.

NOW – back to REAL LIFE and the question of “magnetic vaccines” – but passing through MORE considerations of different “magnetic” substances.

Visible Paramagnetism

Most “refrigerator magnets” available until recently have been ferrites – which are ferromagnetic ceramics similar to magnetite (lodestone). They are fairly strong ferromagnets, but nothing extraordinary. However, more and more, refrigerator magnets are now neodymium-iron-boron, a.k.a. neodymium magnets. Those are the little, very powerful magnets.

In the above photo, bigger and stronger neodymium magnets are being used to ATTRACT copper (II) sulfate (a.k.a. cupric sulfate) on a balance beam, turning the beam TOWARD the magnet, because cupric sulfate is net PARAMAGNETIC. On the other hand, the same magnets will REPEL the bismuth, which is net DIAMAGNETIC, and make the balance beam rotate AWAY from the magnets. Note that the coinage metals – copper, silver and gold – are all diamagnetic, although less so than bismuth. However, many other metals, if not ferromagnetic, are still paramagnetic. Aluminum, for example, is paramagnetic.

I will show you a great video of the above experiment in just a moment. But before that, I want to encourage YOU to do some science.

  • Do you have any of those really strong little magnets? (CHECK #1)
  • Do you have any bismuth bird shot? (CHECK #2D)
  • Do you have any pencil leads? (CHECK #2D)
  • Do you have any iron supplements in capsules or pill form? (CHECK #2P)
  • Do you have any copper sulfate crystals (root killer granules)? (CHECK #2P)
  • Do you have any magnesium or calcium supplements? (CHECK #2d)
  • Do you have any multivitamins with or without iron? (CHECK #2dp)

If you answered YES to question 1 and any of questions 2 with CAPITAL LETTERS, then you can actually do the same experiment on your kitchen counter, without a fancy apparatus. What you are doing IS an experiment just like the Magnet Challenge, only you are READY for very small effects, and have SOME IDEA of what a positive or negative result will look like. Questions 2 with small letters are going to be control experiments.

First of all, be careful with the iron supplements and the copper sulfate. Both are mildly poisonous! Keep iron supplements away from kids, especially. Please handle copper sulfate carefully, too. Avoid touching the crystals, and wash your hands or anything that touches it.

What I simply want you to do is to very carefully and gently “dog” each of these things – pills, capsules, crystals, pencil lead, bismuth bird shot – on a FLAT, SMOOTH, LOW-FRICTION SURFACE – like a clean kitchen counter-top or glass range – with a neodymium magnet. Bring the magnet close – closer – closer still – and see what happens.

SPOILER: I will discuss the results below. Do the experiment now, or after the video below.

Here is the GREAT video that shows you what forces to expect.

SPOILER – are you ready?

Don’t look yet!

Don’t look yet!

Don’t look yet!

Don’t look yet!

Don’t look yet!

You should see some attractive motion with the iron supplements and the copper sulfate crystals. NOT MUCH, but enough to realize that YES – paramagnetism is REAL, and careful kitchen science will reveal it. And if your magnets are strong enough, you may even see repulsive diamagnetism from the bismuth and the pencil lead.

You will most likely NOT see any motion of the controls – the magnesium or calcium supplements, or the multivitamins. All of these will be mostly diamagnetic, although it is possible that the iron-containing multivitamin may be weakly paramagnetic overall. I could not get mine to budge.

Can you think of any other things you could test? Metal salts are likely to be either invisibly diamagnetic or visibly paramagnetic. Metals themselves are likely to be paramagnetic, although some are diamagnetic. Certain ROCKS are actually ferromagnetic – notably jasper and serpentine – due to the presence of ferromagnetic iron oxides. They will be strongly drawn to a magnet.

You can always TEST things and then look up the magnetic susceptibility of whatever you just tested on the internet. This will prevent any BIAS from creeping in.

Now – where does this leave us?

Well, we’ve seen what these small but powerful magnets do with diamagnetic and paramagnetic substances, and it’s NOT MUCH.

What about ferromagnetic substances?

Visible Transdermal Ferromagnetism

We are now starting to get very close, conceptually, to the “Magnet Challenge”. We are getting used to the idea of very weak forces, and the difficulties in detecting them – particularly with CRAPPY EQUIPMENT.

If you are already thinking “What I saw with iron supplements – barely rolling or sliding on a countertop when a strong magnet got really close – no WAY would I be able to see THAT little force moving a much heavier MAGNET on somebody’s shoulder”, then you are now beginning to realize that the Magnet Challenge is being challenged. But it’s still not disproven by any means. Because NOW we will bring in ferromagnetism – which is much stronger than paramagnetism.

Watch THIS video to begin to see forces that COULD not only move, but maybe even hold up a magnet.

Note that this guy’s implanted magnet is UNDER THE SKIN – not deep in muscle. That would make a HUGE difference in terms of any magnetic test. We can’t be definitive about the “Magnet Challenge” at this point, because we don’t know the strength of the fields from the test magnets, the types of magnetic substance allegedly deposited, or the depth, but we DO know that the depth matters – a LOT.

Now – the first thing that probably surprised you is that he found that much “iron” in sand. That iron is not IRON METAL per se – or at least not much of it is metal. It is mostly RUST (Fe2O3) and MAGNETITE (Fe3O4). If you’ve ever panned for gold, then you know that sand of all kinds contains a LOT of “black sand” – magnetite – and THAT is probably most of what he had on his finger in the video.

Magnetite – like lodestone – is an example – a NATURAL example – of a ferrite – a mineral or ceramic metal oxide where the metal is mostly or completely IRON.

SO – we can now begin to think that IF a vaccine deposited a FERROMAGNETIC substance – IN ENOUGH QUANTITY – and close enough to the skin – then MAYBE it could visibly affect a magnet brought close to the skin.

Now – before I got “geeky” on this, I simply tried a test. Yes – *I* tried the Magnet Challenge. It’s true, I never got a COVID vaccine, but I get lots of vaccines in my shoulders. Maybe one of THEM was injecting me with something magnetic. It was worth a test – right?

I can tell you this much. As far as I can tell, NO SHOT in my vaccination history has deposited anything in EITHER ONE of my shoulders, which interacts “human-detectably” with my neodymium refrigerator magnets. These are the SAME MAGNETS that can demonstrate the paramagnetism of iron supplements – both ferrous sulfate and ferrous glycinate. But if I “baby” the magnets on my shoulders – all over – I get nothing perceptible.

Now – granted – my fingers are not, in my scientific opinion, sensitive enough to pick up a paramagnetic effect like the drawing of the neodymium magnets to the iron supplements. Thus, my touch would not pick up too weak a ferromagnetic effect on a neodymium magnet. Likewise, my eyes are not sensitive enough to see those magnets reacting in an equal and opposite way to the iron supplements. But maybe they could pick up something stronger.

What would something stronger look like?

Quantitative Kitchen Science – Calibrating Refrigerator Magnets

An easy way to see how neodymium refrigerator magnets react with a small amount of a ferromagnetic substance is to use a standard household staple. Unlike construction staples you get at Lowes, or office staples you get at Staples, household staples are fairly small. A box of 5000 of them weighs 0.38 pounds, including the box. Ignoring our allowed deduction of the paper box weight (we’re generous), that works out to 34.5 (heck, let’s call it an even 35) milligrams per staple.

The staple is made of zinc-coated steel, with the steel being mostly iron and carbon. But we’ll be generous, and pretend like it’s ALL IRON.

Thus, we are going to attribute whatever we see that staple do, to 35 mg of iron, when it could be a smaller amount of iron and even stronger. We’re being CONSERVATIVE in gathering our “expectations of metallic iron as normal, magnetic steel”. But you will still see that the rough numbers are very powerful.

First of all, let’s look at why I was so delighted that the staple comes in at around 35 mg. It turns out that my exemplary iron supplements contain roughly 30 or 60 milligrams of elemental iron, as either ferrous bis(glycinate) or ferrous sulfate, both paramagnetic. Thus, the amounts of iron are comparable, and we can compare the differences in forces between paramagnetic and ferromagnetic iron DIRECTLY, without adjusting the scale.

First, let’s look at MAX MAGNETISM.

If you let the magnet approach the staple, the staple will FLY TOWARD THE MAGNET at a distance of roughly 1.5-2.0 centimeters – basically 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. Once in contact with the magnet, the staple is strongly held.

How strongly? Well, we can actually measure that. The staple, stuck through a sheet of A4 paper (comparable to 8.5 x 11), will easily hold the single sheet of paper against gravity. Will that scale up? First, I tried 10 sheets – NO DICE – gravity wins. But if I tear off sheets of paper slowly, at 8 sheets of A4, my neodymium magnets will still hold all that paper against gravity through the attraction of a SINGLE staple.

If I weigh those 8 sheets, it comes out to between 30 and 40 grams on a cheap postal spring scale. Let’s just call that 35 grams for super-duper convenience.

What this means is that magnetic forces on a 35 mg staple by that neodymium magnet are roughly 35,000 mgs, where we are being really horrible about pretending that mass is weight and vice versa, “because Earth”.

Stated differently, the magnetic force on the staple is roughly 1000 times the gravitational force on the staple.

And YES – we can really work with that. Holding up 8 sheets of paper is EASY KITCHEN SCIENCE. Much easier to demonstrate than rocking a capsule on a counter.

NOW – here is the real kicker.

Wouldn’t it be great if I could put that staple under my skin and see how my magnet reacted to it? It might be painful, but all in the name of science – right?

WELL, it turns out that you don’t HAVE to “get a piercing“. You can FAKE IT really easily.

Neodymium Head Fakes and Phony Implants

Because humans have SO MANY thin places and opposable body parts, it is not hard to FAKE the implantation of ferromagnetic substances, and then actually STUDY how a magnet behaves near them.

Well, I did this, and what I found – very SHOCKING – is that it is EXACTLY like you would imagine it in the “Magnet Challenge”. Or maybe even STRONGER.

The magnet will “do stuff”, and you will go “WHOA!”

You can PINCH a staple easily between finger and thumb, so that it is more than “skin deep”, and then move a magnet around the pinched fingertips. You can be very rigorous about maintaining a strong pinch, and insure that the metal is a certain number of millimeters “deep” in the pinch. You can control the magnet to see exactly how it behaves. And you can repeat this – OVER and OVER – looking for “tells” that the staple is there.

In my experience, the presence of something affecting the magnet was unmistakable.

Want to get that staple REALLY deep? Put it on the web of your thumb and index finger, and “close it up”.

I was able to make the staple so deep that I could not “feel it there” with a single neodymium magnet. BUT – and this is very cool – with a stack of SIX neodymium magnets, I could easily get the stack to “attract” to the deep staple in a way that I could FEEL WITH MY FINGERS. I could make the stack of magnets slow down – slide more tightly – dawdle – stick – and behave EXACTLY like it seemed the people were either FEELING or THINKING THEY WERE FEELING in the “Magnet Challenge” videos.

Do you see what we’re doing here?

We’re doing POSITIVE CONTROL EXPERIMENTS ON THE MAGNET CHALLENGE.

We are showing that what we SENSE is going on in the “Magnet Challenge” videos is a REALITY – likely from years of experience with the realities of permanent magnets in home or office. We’re not saying that the people in the Magnet Challenge videos are correct, because self-deception is very convincing to others, and thus propagates deceit. But we can be certain that there IS a reality of magnetic behavior which both the people in the videos, and we the viewers, are EXPECTING.

Now – do you want to make a prediction about what would happen if we “felt up” MythBuster Kari’s RFID with a neodymium magnet? Do it! I’m about to give you MORE DATA, and then you can either change or STRENGTHEN your prediction.

That gray stuff inside the copper antenna coil? THAT is ferrite. It’s a ferrite antenna core. You can see it more clearly here, in an RFID designed to broadcast body temperature.

It’s not a HARD ferrite like your old-school refrigerator magnets, that hold a magnetization. It’s a SOFT ferrite, designed for an antenna, that changes magnetization easily.

HERE are 4 examples that you can BUY. They were selected for being small enough to fit into an RFID tag used for pets, livestock, or MythBuster gingers.

  • code, composition, diameter (mm), length (mm), weight (mg)
  • 3078990831, MnZn, 1, 10, 40
  • 3078990821, MnZn, 0.75, 7.5, 20
  • 3061990831, NiZn, 1, 10, 40
  • 3061990821, NiZn, 0.75, 7.5, 20

Hey, that’s pretty wild! The average of 20 and 40 is 30 milligrams – pretty much in the ballpark of both a staple and those iron supplements.

Well SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!

Gomer Pyle reacts to the size and mass of an RFID antenna’s ferrite core.

These ferrite cores are about the LENGTH and WEIGHT of a folded-down staple, but have a slightly bigger diameter – maybe a few staples bundled.

So what does this mean?

Fixing The Magnet Challenge

We’re now ready to begin thinking about how we might FIX the “Magnet Challenge”.

I’ve given you enough information about the size of ferrite cores, and the real behavior of staples “pretending” to be implants LIKE those containing ferrite antenna cores, that you are probably guessing – like me – that we might be able to find Kari Byron’s RFID implant by “babying a magnet” over her bicep and “feeling” for a response.

We could likely convince OURSELVES that the “challenge” potentially works, if it is ACTUALLY given the proper things to work with, by judicious and honest application of a strong permanent magnet under sensitive observation, to an actual ferromagnetic implant.

The problem is, of course, that the tiny response of the magnet to an embedded staple is just not all that convincing unless you do it yourself. An RFID tag is almost certainly comparable. Sure, you can “baby the magnet” and an honest observer may be able to tell that it’s “sticking” a little bit, but that simply doesn’t have VIRAL convincing abilities.

Well, there was ONE MORE staple experiment that I did, that I didn’t tell you about – YET. It gives away the most important “fix” of all – which is not so much at the MAGNET end, but at the HUMAN end.

Yeah, if you ask me, men don’t look all that great in earrings – and if they’re CLIP-ONS – egads. Is there anything LOWER than clip-ons?

How about MAGNETIC earrings? UGH!

Of course, you can stick magnetic earrings ANYWHERE on your ear.

SO, this Junkyard Wolf tried to see if he could pretty himself up with a staple earring, using his moderately weak neodymium magnets. That actually worked – although just barely – and a bit painfully, because the staple preferred to “get close” to the magnet at one end, thus pointing END-ON toward the magnet. This appears to be, in some ways, “flexible diamagnetic shaping” of the field by the flesh and the staple compromising a bit. The magnet can get closer to ONE END of the staple, moving the diamagnetic interference outward from the field, so the system does what it needs to do to reach a lower energy. With a stack of SIX neodymium magnets, the staple was downright painful, and the stack of magnets could be used to manipulate the earlobe in a very convincing way. I could actually hang the stack of magnets like a pendant earring, by letting the staple press in very close to the magnets though my earlobe.

It would have looked great on film, but – well – I’m a bit camera-shy lately.

Thus, we are led to the idea that the Magnet Challenge needs to be VISUAL to be convincing – and the visual nature needs to either EXCLUDE other forces (like surface effects), dwarf them (like moving skin around in a way that surface forces simply cannot), or show other VISUAL effects demonstrating a strong induced magnetic field at the site (perhaps by enchaining small magnetized objects like paper clips between the proposed ferrite and the magnet).

Sticking lovely Kari Byron into an MRI machine proved that implanted ferrite-core RFIDs are not “missiles of death and dismemberment” under strong magnetic fields, but it did NOT disprove that such items can be LOCATED manually and qualitatively by smaller, hand-held, strong permanent magnets.

Thus, here are some of the most convincing things that I saw while experimenting with my “positive controls”.

  • hanging of magnets STRONGLY against gravity, jiggling them to disprove that they are sticking by surface effects. This means “show more stick than the hanging key”. Note that even the magnet FALLING OFF from a true magnetic attraction is very convincing. The RELEASE from a magnetic attraction versus a surface stick is very diagnostic visually. A surface stick “peels”. A suddenly failing magnetic attachment “lets go”.
  • watching the magnet spontaneously accelerate horizontally and “slap” against skin when fastened to the end of a loosely-held, lightweight, floppy, plastic or paper “holder” of some kind. This motion is unmistakable. Suspending the magnet from a thread would work just as well (I believe Gail suggested this). Static electricity can be disproved if needed in the same video by a negative control to both flesh and magnet using paper, feather, etc.
  • moving skin by tugging and pulling on the magnet – NOT by pushing. This demonstrates attraction to an embedded object or objects – NOT surface forces

Now – is it possible to get even more “geeky” than that?

Absolutely.

First, let me say that normal “stud-finders” don’t work. To be more exact, they SHOULD NOT work. Nevertheless, I checked, and was pleased that Physics is intact. A common modern stud finder does NOT pick up my staple controls AT ALL – even a BLIP. This is not surprising – most stud-finders are not metal detectors. Even the ones that ARE metal-detecting are looking for steel studs and large steel nails in wooden studs. Small bits of metal like staples are NOISE to such tools.

But what about real metal detectors?

Not sure about you, but I SEE METAL. Copper, to be specific. I also see ferrites – metal oxides with substantial magnetic properties – but not so sure that modern metal detectors would fall for metal oxides, as this would cause a lot of trouble.

Arse Technocratica seems to think that metal detectors don’t find RFIDs.

“Implantable microchips are compatible with MRI machines and are not picked up by metal detectors or airport scanners.”

LINK: https://arstechnica.com/features/2018/01/a-practical-guide-to-microchip-implants/

This does not necessarily mean RFIDs can’t be found by either metal scanners or airport detectors – it may simply mean they are found but rejected at normal settings.

I can tell you FOR A FACT that TSA-style hand-wanded metal detectors CAN (when used properly) pick up a SINGLE STAPLE underneath several sheets of paper. Yes. And not just with the sensitivity turned up to “high”, but on their normal setting.

Bottom line – I’m leaving open the possibility of small ferrite-core metal-wire antennas being detectable using metal detectors and other types of scanners.

HOWEVER – ALL of our theories about RFIDs with ferrite antennas are thrown into the dumpster by ONE PICTURE in that Ars Technica article.

This one.

WAIT A MINUTE. The needle is THAT BIG?

No way.

I consider it IMPOSSIBLY unlikely – that people getting the COVID vaccine were injected with the literal HORSE NEEDLES that are used to place RFIDs in people.

I’m sorry – there is NO WAY that monster needle is getting stuck into the average Joe or Jane getting a COVID vaccination. Not without MASSIVE social reporting of “huge needles” and “incredibly painful shots” which would – OH BY THE WAY – leave a big old lump. Sorry – THAT ain’t happening.

Look at the product:

This is where I say…..

“No way – this is not what people are getting with their Pfizer and Moderna shots. NO WAY. This Magnet Challenge is either total bullshit – or something ELSE is going on. People are NOT getting “chipped” with these big implants. Back to the drawing board”.

Seriously. Something is NOT RIGHT about the idea that people are getting “chipped”. A chip implant would be one of those little glass jobs with an antenna. Whatever is happening – it’s not THAT.

SO – if people are not getting what amount to “publicly known science” of RFID tags, with little ferrite antenna cores that MIGHT attract a magnet, what else could they possibly be getting that might still draw a magnet?

LET’S INVESTIGATE.

That will be the NEXT part of this series.

Stay tuned for Part II, in which we will examine the shocking REAL science of “magnetic” medicine, biotechnology, and nanotechnology, and how it COULD indeed relate to “magnetic vaccines”.

Stay Tuned For Part II…..

Dear KAG: 20210527 Daily Open Thread

I’ve been thinking about the whole Marjorie Taylor Greene thing. The passive aggressive push to get her to quit is on. Hopefully, she’ll get a propaganda mentor at some point, but anything or anyone that smacks of nationalism is going to be in the crosshairs no matter what they say. It’s not even subtle any more.

I mean, I really shouldn’t think, ’cause it only hurts the ballclub, but I really get the idea that what the other side, the globalists, is after with this COVID proof stuff is more or less the imposition of another layer to the already established, although not overt, caste system via peer pressure. (No, really, in sociology, there are papers on the American caste system which in and of itself needs to go.)

While “papers please” is applicable sometime in the future, for now, we aren’t there.

Not totally.

But, the goal is to make it inconvenient and less pleasurable to travel or to attend concerts, Church, etc. The “unvaccinated” or the “unclean” can come along, just not with full privileges. It’s not just segregation. Gaining full status as privileged is the prize for getting shot up. Privileges. Like we were not wanting to wait in line at Six Flags so we pay for the privilege of cutting in front of everyone else. (That drives me nuts.)

Hear me out.

We’ve all noticed the reactions of karens and other fraidy cats when we’ve been out and about without masks. The people recoil. They are TERRIFIED of getting sick with a disease that has a 99% survival rate because they have been told to be terrified. So, they react the same way the people confronted with leprosy did in centuries and millennia past.

The same thing is happening with the objectification of the “unvaccinated.” They – the other side and their followers – want a quick way to tell who has not conformed as if we should be swathed in wool, and wearing a bell around our necks to let them know that someone who is unclean is headed their way.

That way, privileges can be revoked.

It is popular to make comparisons with what is more recent and part of the popular media lexicon. However, “papers, please” is not limited to a single regime.

There is no need to use a comparison which is an open invitation for the crowd wanting to quell nationalism to use it as a hammer in public shaming. It’s essentially handing the other side a weapon.

Why are we here?
Why are we providing crumbs?
Think MEMO.
BUILDING THE ARMY.
Not convinced this is spreading?
You, the PEOPLE, have THE POWER.
You, the PEOPLE, just forgot how to PLAY.
TOGETHER you are STRONG.
APART you are weak.
THEY WANT YOU DIVIDED.
THEY WANT RACE WARS.
THEY WANT CLASS WARS.
THEY WANT RELIGIOUS WARS.
THEY WANT POLITICAL WARS.
THEY WANT YOU DIVIDED!
LEARN!
FOR GOD & COUNTRY – LEARN!
STAY STRONG.
STAY TOGETHER.
FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT.
This is more important than you can imagine.
Q

They want us infighting on how to get our points across.

I think we’ve seen that.

And just wait until they find out that we know that Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum is a child of the Third Reich and apparently is still fighting his father’s war. Maybe then the comparison will be off the banned list.

Okay, let’s see what else is going on.

This is A LOT of security for someone who is not supposed to matter on the world stage anymore.

I wish we had more Josh Hawleys here in Missouri.

Yeah…..

Not much out there on the audits. Well, other than this:

And the audit results haven’t even been published yet.

I confess I’ve not been listening to pop and vintage of late in favor of Classical, but here’s an exception. For all the brown eyed girls. (Mine are hazel, so this is not about me.)

All opinions here are valued for the diversity they bring to the issues, and the shaping of understanding regarding topics for which many of us do not have all information.

Be careful in expressing thoughts as we would all like to think well of the rest of the group, and ill-thought out comments have a way of wrecking that for everyone.

SIRACH 42:15-25

15I will now call to mind the works of the Lord, and will declare what I have seen. By the words of the Lord his works are done. 16The sun looks down on everything with its light, and the work of the Lord is full of his glory. 17The Lord has not enabled his holy ones to recount all his marvelous works, which the Lord the Almighty has established that the universe may stand firm in his glory. 18He searches out the abyss, and the hearts of men, and considers their crafty devices. For the Most High knows all that may be known, and he looks into the signs of the age. 19He declares what has been and what is to be, and he reveals the tracks of hidden things. 20No thought escapes him, and not one word is hidden from him. 21He has ordained the splendors of his wisdom, and he is from everlasting and to everlasting. Nothing can be added or taken away, and he needs no one to be his counselor. 22How greatly to be desired are all his works, and how sparkling they are to see! 23All these things live and remain for ever for every need, and are all obedient. 24All things are twofold, one opposite the other, and he has made nothing incomplete. 25One confirms the good things of the other, and who can have enough of beholding his glory?

Prayers for the nation, the salvation of humanity, and all of us here – lurkers and members – as well as our families, are welcome.

And the flip side of “papers please.”

Dear KAG: 20210526 Open Thread

Where do I begin, to tell the story of how great the times we’re in? The sweetest story of our president’s election victory win?

Where do I start?

https://twitter.com/4_04_Not_Found/status/1397069796336967681

As for the distractions, there’s lots of fingerpointing and dot connecting happening.

This is really rather amusing to watch the MSM backtrack a year later.

And then there’s this to consider.

We here at the Q Tree know what it was made for which is why we are moving Heaven and Earth NOT to get shot up with the stuff. This is part of it.

How does all this tie in together?

Well, one source put this out there.

https://twitter.com/Littleb29872980/status/1396978056603086856

As my mother put it today, all hell could break loose at any time.

And one last thing about COVID:

And then they brand themselves just like Dr. Seuss’s Sneetches so we all know they’re part of the cool kids club.

Per the Boss:

Just remember:

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone

Please, stock up on blanks for celebratory gunfire, be ready to swing from the chandeliers…and no messing with the nuclear weapons.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there. The “Rescue Thread” is also over there. In the event a rendezvous of the tree is needed, please check it out.

Auntie DePat’s requests as we are all, ahem, adults, not uncivilized pygmies:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

One other vital note:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

MARK 10:32-45

32And they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. And taking the twelve again, he began to tell them what was to happen to him, 33saying, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and deliver him to the Gentiles; 34and they will mock him, and spit upon him, and scourge him, and kill him; and after three days he will rise.” 35And James and John, the sons of Zeb’edee, came forward to him, and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.” 36And he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?” 37And they said to him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.” 38But Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?” 39And they said to him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink you will drink; and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized; 40but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.” 41And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John. 42And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are supposed to rule over the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them. 43But it shall not be so among you; but whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 44and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. 45For the Son of man also came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, first responders and those working behind the scenes…and any and all people with family members in the hospital, COVID or not.

Some of these wood turning videos are really interesting.
