Your Quantum Homework
If we’re going to be talking about the whole Trump / Q / Quantum thing (AND WE ARE!), then it’s important to refresh ourselves on what the heck this “quantum” stuff is, anyway. THAT lesson will be coming soon – maybe later this week.
Steve did a number of posts on quantum mechanics, and I’m going to link them below as OPTIONAL study material.
However, today’s assignment is more fun. All it is, is to watch a video by Veritasium – a fairly easy and fun video – that I MAY have shown you before – probably not, but I can’t be sure.
The video appears to be in the context of relativity, but it’s really about the apparent conflict between quantum mechanics and relativity, and how that was – more or less – resolved.
The great thing about this video is that it actually takes you all the way to the current state of knowledge, and it does it without very much math at all. It’s pretty ingenious.
That’s it! Check out the video, and play it a second or third time, if you need to double or triple up on parts of it.

It’s hard to lose a child.
I know. Twenty-two years ago and I still miss him. I regret the mistakes I made parenting him, so much so that I am frequently on the verge of tears.
They said my kid died because he missed his insulin injection. Heck, I didn’t even know he was diabetic [he lived with his maternal grandma].
Everybody assumed it was suicide since that runs in the family [his mother and her sister both suicides years apart].
I go along with it because some things are better kept in the lockbox.
I’m so sorry PGroup. In a sane & just world kids should bury their parents but not the other way around. May God pour out His peace & comfort to you. 🙏

Since both of my parents died I’m looking at mortality in a different way, thinking of it more, I’m the oldest now in my famiy of origin, a strange place to be. In one sense it can be a kindness to loosely glimpse the end of the road, so as to prepare. I hope you & your surviving child have found a closeness so when the time comes there will be no regrets for either of you. May God lighten your load and enlighten your path….

There was a place in the Old Testament, I forget exactly where, where God took a good man young, as a way to spare him from the coming evil days. It sure puts such unexpected losses in a different perspective.

That is definitely an applicable passage, TY. What I’m thinking of was a specific person, possibly a young ruler in Israel, who God took in death to spare that righteous one from coming judgement I believe. It was something my OT professor in Grad School discussed back in the 80s so is fuzzy now 🙂

That could be too. I don’t exactly remember. It is interesting & even comforting to me that God showed a kind of mercy to one who was more righteous than others to spare them coming hardships or judgement by gathering them to Himself relatively young. His ways are so much higher than our own.

The result level for a positive “COVID-19 PCR test” was deliberately increased to, iIRC, 40 — as opposed to the much lower level number that apparently had been the “recommended” level number, which I think was around 28. So ANYONE who took a “COVID-19 PCR test” could likely have registered with a level around 40, “proving” that the person had COVID-19. But that person could ALSO have had a simple cold, or Influenza A, or Influenza B, or perhaps even NOTHING AT ALL.
The inventor of the test even said it was not suitable as a diagnostic tool and then very conveniently dropped dead.

We all know where it went.
One of the most fun confrontations from the period I had was with our former next door neighbor, who was employed at a local hospital as a COVID test nurse. She asked if we were getting the jabs. I said, “Nope.” She pressed the issue explaining how everybody was getting sick, that we should get them just like we got flu vaccines. I told her we did not do that either, that the last time we did wifey caught the swine flu right afterwards. She shook her head and looked puzzled.
I asked her if she followed the CDC reporting on COVID and flu cases. She said she did not. I told her she should because the data showed that the flu had apparently been cured by the COVID virus, so catching a bad cold, COVID, must be a good thing. I added that we were nbot big on gene therapy shots for cold viruses. She got angry and went back inside.
I was quite happy when that couple sold and moved a year later. Of course losing her fake job may have had something to do with it.
I would loved to have been a by-stander to that confrontation.😂

Apologies to anyone who thinks there is some “other” explanation for this, but seriously, how can anyone make the case that anything other than EVERY case of flu was diagnosed as Covid for money and hysteria is beyond me.

If you coughed, you had Covid. If you sneezed, you had Covid. Headache, Covid. Watery eyes, Covid. Farted in public, Covid.
EVERYTHING was labeled as Covid by doctors, who were getting PAID to diagnose it! And the hysterical public went along with it. There were Covid tests at every check-out stand in America for YEARS!
I would bet almost anything I have that 2020 and 2021 were normal flu years. But nobody was treated for what they HAD, because it didn’t fit the narrative or the payout.

I do not have in-house O2 and at the time did not have any inhalers. This is at my first go round with ‘asthma’ actually Long Covid.
So, you may have noted that I’m often frustrated by The Fiancee scrambling my stuff. Sometimes, it’s supposed to be “helping” — sometimes my stuff is in the way of her project, so she’ll just sweep a tabletop into a box. Sometimes, my stuff is exactly where I left it, but it gets buried under laundry or mail or something. Sometimes one of my notes is mistaken for recyclables and tossed in the bin.
A couple of weeks ago, my password sheets for Wells Fargo and a separate credit card went missing. [I’m a CPA — I made a form for keeping passwords organized on paper.] I’ve been dancing around ways to keep functioning without them, but it’s been annoying.
Then, all of a sudden, I remembered the WF one last night. Mind you, the password has punctuation, capital letters, numbers, is not comprised of words and has no meaning. I wrote down what I remembered and tried it tonight and it worked.
My parents tell me that up to around five-years-old I actually had a photographic memory….which, of course, means that I don’t remember having one. I have no idea the depths from which this password bubbled up, but I’m glad it did because I’m trying to meet the mortgage payment by the end of the month. Having the medical bills, the auto repair, registration and smog bills, and all the random scrambllng will now be much easier to sort out.
I’m kind of surprised that I had an alphanumeric item socked away — I normally remember numbers.
we’ve had a password book for years because if and when one or both of us passes, the other (or the children) have instructions to notify people (like here) of the passing. and they’ll need passwords to get from there to here.
and i never use the same password for different sites…and i can be forgetful…so it helps.

Similar. I use an encrypted spreadsheet with physical copy kept in the bank safe deposit box that daughter and sonIL know about. Never repeat passwords on sites. Keep a small book for wifey to use of non-financial/important passwords.

A prediction for the future of America:
Thanks to Joe Biden and his regime, there is a new generation of Patriots growing up this very minute that are ON FIRE for America, and the 2020-2024 Biden reign of tyranny was the catalyst.
These young people remember being masked, missing school, being separated from their friends, sitting sequestered in their bedrooms for months on end trying to do their schoolwork through an iPad.
They vividly remember being quarantined, prodded and swabbed, while their parents paced back and forth across the kitchen floor trying to figure out how to survive their loss of income.
They remember not being allowed to go to church, while riding in the back seat of the car seeing liquor stores with big, bright “OPEN” signs in the front doors.
They remember their parents having to choose between taking an experimental, government mandated shot, or losing their jobs.
They remember pressing their tiny hands against a window to their grandparents’ hands, and making homemade signs that said “I love you Grandma, I love you Grandpa” as they stood in the front yard…where they used to sit in their laps.
They remember not being able to attend funerals and say their last goodbyes, or get dressed up to celebrate with the family when their older brothers and sisters got married.
They remember sitting in waiting rooms just steps away from friends and family dying in solitary confinement in hospitals because the government wouldn’t allow them in the room to share one last hug.
The pain, agony and abuse of that era left deep, resentful scars on their hearts and souls that will never be forgotten…or forgiven.
It forever turned them away from anyone, or anything promoting the dogmas of tyranny, and made them ferociously and unwaveringly loyal to the foundational promises and guarantees of Freedom, as written down long ago by our Founding Fathers.
There’s a fresh new generation of Patriots currently in junior high, high school, and college that will NEVER bend the knee to the will of tyranny ever again. Mark this post. my mom and dad were Catholics, but they lapsed. When i was 16, I made my First Holy Communion (my choice–they attended but never encouraged it). I later was Confirmed. again they attended but never encouraged. Neither of my siblings were ever religious.
Which is why I was so hurt and angry when Mom’s will left everything to my brother. There was a family Bible she promised would be mine and my father’s Bible as well.
Know that feeling all too well other than church affiliation. Thankful the Lord provided for my salvation that I never fully understood until my 30s. That made the same motherly snub that I endured most of my life that continued until her death less painful to absorb.
I’ve been praying hard to accept her decision and release my anger of it.
Will add your desire to my prayers. Forgiveness can be very hard, but necessary for our own sakes.

we had a huge fight years ago but we had reconciled and I thought we had moved past it. She never let go of her anger I suppose.
That’s extremely unfortunate & truly her loss. That you made the final leg of her life so joyful is a testament to your resilience & forgiving nature.
My Hubby’s mom was cut out of the family will after she stood up to her stepfather & threatened to kill him if he ever touched/hurt her mother again. Her pain & struggle also created the pathway where Michael & I would meet & our resulting four kids are each amazing & so worth the heartache…at least in hindsight. If he’d been the equivalent of some type of trust fund baby he would have had Nothing to do with the likes of me! I still confound the man though…it’s a gift! LOL

I believe that these shots cause sub-acute damage similarly to the disease, and eventually some tipping point will push the patient toward the same outcome that acute damage by the vaccine or disease would have in other people – which end result is VERY OFTEN multi-organ failure.
Kidney failure was – IIRC from 2020 – a very common starting point for MOF by the disease, and later the vaccine, and the fact that Tim was already dealing with kidney issues showed great risk, even if the kidney stone issue was orthogonal to any prior damage by the vaccine.

A small tidbit from my recent vacation at our family’s Up North Cottage. Last Fall, my Dad’s last trip to the Cottage involved the miscarriage of my 4th grandchild & the grieving mother only shared the situation with my dad at that time as she needed his help. (I was sadly unable to make that trip due to a strained back)…
Anyway I’ve been to the Cottage a couple of times since & noticed a very large rock on the beach near the end of our street. I Really wanted this rock moved into our yard as a memorial stone for the lost baby as the child’s mortal remains were, in a sense, under the garden area being where the septic system & tile field are. I’ve mentioned the concept a number of times to various family members but usually have been shot down about it.
On this trip a bunch of us were at the beach, including the lost baby’s father & I mentioned my hope that we could move this rock into our yard if he & baby’s mom were OK with that. He immediately went to shift the rock on the sand & decided that he & the other young men of the family were able to move it together. Hubby got our car with a metal rack on the tow mechanism & the guys put the rock there & then Hubby drove it closer to the Cottage & the guys carried it across the lawn. The Bereaved Parents picked the final spot, somewhat amist some flowers & near a young possible redbud tree that will grow to overshadow this stone. The daddy oriented the rock a particular way so that it’s “clean” & colorful side showed best.
Once the sun hit the rock it became apparent that in addition to the general grey color, really white & black flecks throughout the bulk of the stone, there were subtle colors of light blue & pink streaks that shot through it in layers. I’d never noticed those colors before when the rock was on the beach but found it actually perfect since that baby’s sex is not known to us.
God was so good to provide this perfect rock for our situation & I’m thankful that our guys were able & willing to place it on “our” (we hope) property for a subtle memorial to our lost & surely loved grandbaby.
We’ve imagined this child lovingly in the arms of my, then recently deceased, mother & now my father. My husband’s mom who never met any of her grandchildren in this life would also get the chance to embrace this lost (to us) little one, as would those loved ones on the other parent’s side who died before meeting their (great)grandchild(ren). The concept of this little one in the loving embrace of those who have gone on to their rewards gives me a measure of comfort in a season of complex grief with 3 losses in less than 13 months. Safe in the arms of Jesus are our hearts, hopes, & lost to this world loves…

I think that the fact this one particular rock could be moved rather easily was through the agency of the Almighty God. I believe that the pink and blue color streaks in that one particular rock, now in place near the Cottage, and which can be seen when the sun strikes it at a particular time, is through the agency of the Almighty God.
I believe that one particular rock is announcing, via the agency of the Almighty God, that, while there is grief among those left behind, the lost little one is happy in the Beyond and happy under the Wings of the Almighty God.

The FDA knew what it had to do to protect the American people, and CHOSE NOT TO DO IT.
Example: The C4581001 Wistar rats study using BNT162b2: There was obvious evidence of serious questions regarding the accumulations of the lipid nanoparticles (ALC-0159 and ALC-0315) in this “vaccine” in the lab rats. The FDA was given the report on this, and other issues, on 21 April 2021. That was AFTER the agency granted the initial EUA for BNT162b2 on 11 December 2020 for use in the United States. That report alone was enough to stop the EUA, pull BNT162b2 off the market, and put the product into further testing. The FDA chose NOT to do this. Instead, the agency granted Full Approval for BNT162b2 (under the brand name COMIRNATY.)
Example: in the Pfizer-BioNTech “clinical trial” of BNT162b2, the SALINE CONTROL GROUP subjects were “unblinded” and then offered the “opportunity” to take BNT162b2. the VAST majority of those in the “unblinded” SALINE CONTROL GROUP opted to take the “vaccine.” This was done BEFORE the “data” from the “clinical trial” was given to the FDA as part of the application process to get the initial EUA. To “unblind” the SALINE CONTROL GROUP before the “clinical trial” completion puts ANY data from this group is SUSPECT.
Example: The BNT162b2 “clinical trial” was TRUNCATED so that Pfizer-BioNTech could “collect the data” to give to the FDA in the early fall of 2020 as part of the application process to get the initial EUA from the agency.
Example: Males capable of fathering a child signed, as part of the documents to be included as a study subject for the BNT162b2 “clinical trial”, NOT TO HAVE INTERCOURSE for several WEEKS after being injected with the “vaccine.” Therefore, Pfizer-BioNTech KNEW that this “vaccine” could SHED INTO SPERM.
Example: In the C4501991 Wistar rats experiments using BNT162b2, there is MULTIPLE documentation from Pfizer-BioNTech that the “vaccine” DID CAUSE the rats to:
die;
lose significant body weight;
cause the FEMALE rats who were injected with BNT162b2 to:

#1 – the pardon has nothing to do with this Article 1 Congressional hearing. The pardon, if validated, is an affirmative defense against a criminal charge not an investigation.
#2 – He can take the 5th because it is unknown whether the pardon will hold up until it’s tested in an Article 3 proceeding.
#3 – He can plead the 5th only for questions which could lead to criminal violations of statutes already enacted by Congress. Since it’s hard to discern where an answer might lead, it is common to take a very liberal view of witnesses using the 5th.

The decision came almost a month before the start of the fall semester, leaving the affected students scrambling to find alternatives or determine whether they could still find a way to re-enroll.
Howard, one of the country’s most prestigious historically Black colleges and universities, said that it dismissed 502 first-year students whose accounts showed that they had not met enrollment and financial requirements by a deadline of July 10.
By that date, the students were supposed to have paid half their remaining balance or enrolled in a payment plan.
“Never in my life have I gotten so far and worked so hard for it to be stripped from me on a random Wednesday,” one affected student, Isabella Williams, said in a TikTok video this week about the enrollment issue.
Her video’s caption said that she was supposed to move in on Saturday.
“I was promised and told by people that what I was doing was OK,” Ms. Williams continued, “that everything was fine and that my scholarships could come through later, and then I’m suddenly unenrolled from my dream school.”
Ms. Williams could not be immediately reached for comment on Saturday.
The number of undergraduate “first time in college” students at Howard last fall was 2,490, according to the school.
The university said it began notifying students in March through emails and orientation sessions about enrollment requirements, payment expectations and key dates.
Howard officials said students also received monthly reminders through July as the deadline approached.
Students who missed tuition or aid deadlines lost their spots in the upcoming semester.
They were informed “that the University can no longer hold their place in the incoming class,” school officials said in a statement on Thursday.
“As Howard finalizes enrollment for the Fall 2026 semester, which begins Aug. 17, confirming enrollment is essential to planning academic programs, housing, financial aid, and student support services,” the statement said.
For many students and their families, the timing left little opportunity to resolve the issue before the start of the academic year.
Some of the affected students told the university that their scholarships or federal financial aid had not finished processing before the deadline, the university statement said.
Some students said they were traveling to Washington next week to try to resolve the enrollment issue in person.
It’s unclear how many of the affected students were awaiting federal financial aid, private scholarships or grants.
“The university is reviewing information related to anticipated scholarship funding and other financial aid, where appropriate, and will consider relevant circumstances presented regarding pending scholarship awards and financial aid resources,” the university said.

Ethnos blocs possess dense networks, internal discipline, and the power to coordinate turnout, institutional pressure, and social sanctions. Atomized individuals cannot match that unity. They are fragmented, cross-pressured, and easily outorganized. Public choice accelerates the process. Each bloc captures concentrated benefits while dispersing costs across everyone else. The state adapts by distributing appointments, exemptions, selective enforcement, and legitimacy through recognized groups. Appear as a bloc or forfeit the seat.
Heterogeneity reorganizes political life around group competition. Elections become demographic contests. Appointments become ethnic allocations. Policy transfers status and resources among blocs. Political defeat becomes collective dispossession; institutional control becomes group security. Ethnicity becomes the currency of collective power. Individualists must accept political irrelevance or become a counter-bloc. Once every population must form a bloc to survive politically, the creedal order has died.

As for multiculturalism, it didn’t just fail, it’s an intentional poison-pill to destroy a nation.
What is needed is a return to mono-culturalism, and everyone who doesn’t like the MAJORITY historical, white, Christian, conservative culture of America is invited to leave for whatever country aligns with their particular form of depravity.

However, the “many worlds” was invented by the “necessity” of trying to avoid paradoxes of “spooky action at a distance.”
I think there are not a small number of Christians that would have no need to avoid that paradox. When you know God’s ways, you understand that His Spirit is “everywhere present and filling all things.” In this understanding God is instantaneously everywhere and not limited by time.
Thus, the “many worlds” theory is not necessary. How does “many worlds” measure up to what holy men of old wrote in our Scriptures regarding God and His creation?
Let me put it this way….
“Nobody understands quantum mechanics – and even fewer understand “many worlds.” 😂
And surprisingly few Christians are truly interested in allowing God’s Spirit to teach them about His ways, let alone what God has to say about His design in Creation! Perhaps because the first step is to draw near to Him through the path of mercy made for us in the sacrifice of His Son.

I think some Christians have gotten into trouble by allowing theology to precede trust in God, in terms of leading their thoughts on what nature should be like. One example IMO would be the forms of “intelligent design” that essentially assert that the design of the universe is imperfect, and God has to “rescue” his own broken programming by direct intervention. To me, that’s a disservice to both God and science!
The Reformation created a lot more dependency on the rational mind and a lot less reverence for the Mysteries of God.
One of the great things about the public discussion of “edge science” is that it showcases the reality that there are mysteries in science, too (naturally so, a believer will more likely think). and that tends to keep “scientism” (belief in the infallibility of mainstream scientific thinking) in check, although I think that discussing the failures of edge science theories more openly would be even healthier!
The deal with mysteries in nature is that many of them will be solved. Some mysteries of God will seem less mysterious with more thought – both rational and not – but there is greater acceptance of eternal mystery in that case.
However, one thing that gives me pleasure is that the pile-up of mysteries in science, as we go deeper, helps us (IMO) accept the mysteries of God, not just for the dull reasons of frustration and acceptance, but because the beauty becomes more apparent, and that of its own increase, as well.
Actually (and the video did NOT emphasize this enough) the primary appeal and motivation of “many worlds” – for the guy who came up with it – was that the math worked out nicer. I think I also read somewhere that he was an atheist, but personally, I tend to think that “many worlds” works better for believers, because it doesn’t try to eliminate “infinities” everywhere – it embraces them, instead.
I read his dissertation, and what struck both me and him as more important, was that there seems to be an “information” analog of the uncertainty principle, that is even more general than the uncertainty principle itself, AND that can be used to derive the uncertainty principle. But I have never heard ANYBODY else ever mention, much less talk about that curious assertion.

Just curious, how many times have your read through the full canon of Scripture with the same quest for understanding as we commonly read physics papers?
Both types of texts put a demand on you, for sure.
I would say once in order, in a programmatic way, and twice overall, adding up all of the Bible study that I did in my life. And I would say that the latter was probably the deeper of the two, because programmed reading and discussion has a schedule to keep, but deep-dive discussion of specific chapters and verses in the Bible does not.

My own experience is that a third method rounds things out.
Basically reading just long enough to have something resonate right before going to sleep and letting it marinate as I rest.
Yes, that third thing is a necessary component, and is the same in science, too – daily rumination over problems. This is one reason I like those “verse of the day”-style devotional booklets – but I do them in the morning, and that kind of sets a marker in my Biblical thinking during the day – it adds a problem to think about (will not be the only one).
IMO, the closest thing to reading a significantly large paper in the scientific literature, is reading a book in a study Bible. It’s almost the exact same scale as reading the literature (data and commentary) surrounding a particular scientific problem, each book being comparable to a set of one or more foundational papers (depending on size).

Yes – I was thinking that, when all these “quantum” posts are done, maybe later this year, I’ll play that video again, and people can see how much more they understand – which I expect will be a lot.
I’m not going to rush things, either. It certainly takes a while for this stuff to sink in. Rushing also kills the enjoyment, so I will go easy and let it be more enjoyable.
