the donkey was a present for my granddaughter, I doubt she will part with it readily.
They raise the goats for 4-h primarily and some get sold auction for meat. Since they have had a lot of 4h winners, demand is growing steadily and they are utilizing 2 farms now, so they might be able to use the second donkey.
My granddaughter says the donkey’s name is Sadie, she’s a sweet girl and loves bananas. lol

I kept my mouth shut about the evidence that glyphosate caused cancer, because it was WEAK, but pointless to argue. The problem is that glyphosate was marketed as next to harmless, when it should have been marketed as “we don’t know – be careful – treat it like any chemical pesticide”. Had they done that, the lawsuits would have never gotten traction, because IMO glyphosate is a weaker carcinogen than a lot of things in everyday use. Frankly, gasoline at the pump is probably a worse carcinogen.
In fact, I think that once we find out that some of the substitutes for glyphosate are actually stronger carcinogens, it may be possible to bring back glyphosate with mild warnings.

Hey guys, the family has a busy day with the main visitation at a funeral home near little bro’s house (about an hour away from where most Currens reside). We’re supposed to be there around 3 w/ other mourners to visit from 4-8 pm. It will likely be a long day.
Michael, my husband, decided to take both Monday & Tuesday off work to help me get through things. We ended up being at my dad’s house fairly late to gather more items for funeral related displays so he was already out past his normal workday bedtime. Thankfully the temps dropped so I didn’t get close to heat exhaustion like the last time I was there. & Michael got to see the end of the Stanley Cup.
I’d appreciate ongoing prayers for our extended clan. Dad’s only sibling, Aunt Pat, is now unable to come as she is scheduled for surgery on her broken fingers today too.
Hope I’ll get a chance to check in later but that absolutely remains to be seen.

That’s a nice thought. Pat is not at all tech savvy & given her surgery tomorrow I don’t think she’d be up for it then. Last year my parents’ church did record it & put the link in Mom’s obituary so perhaps that will also happen for Dad’s funeral & potential open mic during luncheon. I really have No Say in how this is all shaking out so am in the dark on a lot of it. I honestly thought it would be more like last year when Hubby & I accompanied Dad & little bro to make arrangements together but little bro wanted to fly solo, the night before Dad died. Granted he had discussed things enough with Dad to have a good handle on his wishes but it was still strange. I’ve texted questions that haven’t been answered, attempted phone calls & we were playing phone tag &/or having batteries dead…I’m just trying to be prayed up enough to have enough armor on to get through however the next two days go…& then it’s on into the Estate…at least there is a 4 month window on that w/ an absolute wrap up within 6 months…It’s getting to be one baby step at a time for me right now…

That’s wild…I truly cannot imagine. I know I found Hubby’s distant relative, aunt or cousin who died a spinster 100+ years ago with millions of dollars. She used the bulk of her inheritance to create a home for spinster women, focused on family first. & the first couple decades law firms did finagling to carry out her wishes (& get their cut of the pie presumably). When they finally built the home it was only used for the stated purpose for maybe 2 or 3 decades. The building still stands & is being used as a nursing home I think. I really don’t know that the wealthy woman’s desires were adequately addressed–sad.

He never missed my field hockey games in HS & you could tell when he’d arrived because he would start cheering Loudly–fun. I don’t think any of my teammate’s dads ever came to our games. It would be funny if it was not so true. SonIL and I did a deck extension at their house in early May and nearly every piece was warped. Had to use ratchet straps to pull the decking boards together. That process got old in a hurry.
That’s because HD is getting defrauded. Some lumber mill is bundling up boards that didn’t get oven-dried correctly and using the bundle straps to make them appear normal on the pallet/bundle.
Don’t take this the wrong way but as a paralegal, I would say it’s your responsibility to call the store as soon as you busted open the straps. Insist that they motor their butts on over to your house with replacements. The risk belongs to HD, not you. It is unreasonable for you to assume its risk [using ratchet straps].

COMMENTARY FOR PSALMS 23
Confidence in God’s grace and care.
– “The Lord is my shepherd.” In these words, the believer is taught to express his satisfaction in the care of the great Pastor of the universe, the Redeemer and Preserver of men. With joy he reflects that he has a shepherd, and that shepherd is Jehovah. A flock of sheep, gentle and harmless, feeding in verdant pastures, under the care of a skilful, watchful, and tender shepherd, forms an emblem of believers brought back to the Shepherd of their souls. The greatest abundance is but a dry pasture to a wicked man, who relishes in it only what pleases the senses; but to a godly man, who by faith tastes the goodness of God in all his enjoyments, though he has but little of the world, it is a green pasture. The Lord gives quiet and contentment in the mind, whatever the lot is. Are we blessed with the green pastures of the ordinances, let us not think it enough to pass through them, but let us abide in them. The consolations of the Holy Spirit are the still waters by which the saints are led; the streams which flow from the Fountain of living waters. Those only are led by the still waters of comfort, who walk in the paths of righteousness. The way of duty is the truly pleasant way. The work of righteousness in peace. In these paths we cannot walk, unless. God lead us into them, and lead us on in them. Discontent and distrust proceed from unbelief; an unsteady walk is the consequence: let us then simply trust our Shepherd’s care, and hearken to his voice. The valley of the shadow of death may denote the most severe and terrible affliction, or dark dispensation of providence, that the psalmist ever could come under. Between the part of the flock on earth and that which is gone to heaven, death lies like a dark valley that must be passed in going from one to the other. But even in this there are words which lessen the terror. It is but the shadow of death: the shadow of a serpent will not sting, nor the shadow of a sword kill. It is a valley, deep indeed, and dark, and miry; but valleys are often fruitful, and so is death itself fruitful of comforts to God’s people. It is a walk through it: they shall not be lost in this valley, but get safe to the mountain on the other side. Death is a king of terrors, but not to the sheep of Christ. When they come to die, God will rebuke the enemy; he will guide them with his rod, and sustain them with his staff. There is enough in the gospel to comfort the saints when dying, and underneath them are the everlasting arms. The Lord’s people feast at his table, upon the provisions of his love. Satan and wicked men are not able to destroy their comforts, while they are anointed with the Holy Spirit, and drink of the cup of salvation which is ever full. Past experience teaches believers to trust that the goodness and mercy of God will follow them all the days of their lives, and it is their desire and determination, to seek their happiness in the service of God here, and they hope to enjoy his love for ever in heaven. While here, the Lord can make any situation pleasant, by the anointing of his Spirit and the joys of his salvation. But those that would be satisfied with the blessings of his house, must keep close to the duties of it.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.

I love to revisit the pressing issues of the day after their conclusion.
We are completing our second year as a state without chemtrails in the skies. Most people are clueless about what happened and rarely look up or notice what is around them. Others who do pay attention have learned the difference between a contrail and a chemtrail based on the occasional conversation. It has been great to observe since we live 15 air miles for the rapidly growing regional airport.
Every day the skies are a beautiful blue when there are no precipitation fronts nearby. The weather pattern has returned to the norm of the 80’s. There has been a reduction in humidity overall. It is literally easier to breathe. The earth is healing around us. It reminds me daily of what was lost for a time and how grateful I am for MAGA on the local and state level taking over and getting things done for We the People. I pray the same for all of you.
I wish I could say the same. I think much of my breathing problems is from Chemtrails.

Glyphosate persists in the soil for months, sometimes years. It also kills beneficial soil bacteria and earthworms. It is also harmful to honeybees.
Glyphosate persists in compost. I have known people whose entire garden died after they spread manure, and then found out the place where they got it fed on land treated with old-school Roundup.
I hate chemical weed killers. There are better ways.

Solas came back home last night from the emergency vet hospital.
The exams and tests had good results.
The doctor thinks what’s going on is that the ileus condition (inflammation of the intestines) Solas has, is taking longer to heal.
The little guy had a good night’s sleep at home.
Solas is now on the “dog version” of the BRAT diet: plain cooked / boiled chicken with boiled plain white rice, and water. It’s OK for me to use a little “top dressing” of Churu brand paste treat (for cats.)
So far, Solas is eating the “dog BRAT diet” and the “top dressing” with no issues. He’s also drinking water on his own.
This afternoon, I call his regular vet (the emergency vet place emailed over the records and charts from last night) and talk with them about what the next steps are.

I think I am in the minority, unless a lot of people just aren’t speaking up. As with a lot of these kinds of theories, people want to believe them, and they do, no matter what legitimate evidence is produced to the contrary.

It’s hypothyroidism, pgroup. There is a ton of info about it online. What does she want to know about it?
She has thyroid issues, or more accurately, hormone issues. Almost all the symptoms listed by the A.I. searches [google, grok, etc.]. Been taking Synthroid forever [it seems] but they keep changing the dosage which changes how she feels [and her MOODS]. I’ve just tried to re-adjust my responses to ‘follow’, with limited success.
She came across some product ad for a supplement. It was one of those ads that has a ‘dear diary’ type recitation of the life of somebody who had years of failed thyroid treatments and ‘found’ out that most thyroid has nothing to do with the thyroid gland but is caused by lymph system failure. So she asked me if anybody on the Q-tree knew anything about it [Hashimoto’s].
So here I am but as skeptical as I am about Big Pharma and Big Med, I don’t think they are completely wrong. Thus, there’s a conflict and she sees everything through a covid lens. I’m inclined to tell her to buy the product and see if it helps but that’s not as easy as it sounds with her [don’t ask why – long story].
Summary – I can’t find anything that says thyroid output problems are due to lymph system malfunctions and not problems with the gland itself. Looks to me like somebody is pitching a product [reminds me of state fair pitches].

pgroup, since I’m hypothyroid, I’ve probably read just about everything possible about the issue and have never heard of it having anything to do with the lymph systems. The thyroid is basically in a loop with the pituitary gland, the hypothalmus, and the thyroid gland itself. That system can be affected by the adrenal glands, but it doesn’t change the fact that if the thyroid isn’t producing enough hormone you are going to be hypothyroid.
I’m questioning why they keep changing her dosage. I don’t doubt that it changes how she feels. Has she tried seeing another doctor? I will tell you that most doctors in my experience are woefully lacking in knowledge about the thyroid and how to optimally treat it. I’m told they get about 2 hours on it in medical school and that is all.

This is info I came across 15-20 years ago because I knew someone who was consulting a holistic doctor who thought outside the box. He would prescribe Armour thyroid instead of Synthroid, and I think he thought the testing parameters were skewed. He had success with thyroid patients.
I’m sorry that i don’t know more details, but finding a doctor who is open to “alternative” treatments might help.
That doctor was absolutely right and very, very rare. I personally use something very similar. But modern doctors (other than naturopaths and a few others) pretty much won’t prescribe anything but synthroid, which is a synthetic T4 hormone. Your thyroid produces T3 and T4. A healthy thyroid converts the T4 to T3 because it’s what the body actually uses. Armour Thyroid comes from pig thyroids and is bio-identical to human thyroid, so it has both hormones.
Most people feel much better on Armour, but again, doctors won’t prescribe it and most don’t even know how to dose it. Years ago I had a doctor who prescribed it, but he was threatened by the medical board with his license if he didn’t go back to synthroid. So having no other alternative, I treat myself. I get my own labs and order my meds overseas.
