This DePat Tuesday Open Thread honors the author of the original Tuesday open thread on this site, namely the late Susie Sampson, a.k.a. Deplorable Patriot, among her other handles, pen names, etc.

At one time, DePat handled FOUR daily open threads here, in addition to taking care of her relatives, choir duties, and numerous other responsibilities. She was a powerhouse – a dynamo – a true force of nature.
DePat’s faith in Trump, Q, “The Plan”, the White Hats, and “the anons” in general, was legendary. Although I didn’t always agree with her quick acceptance of some sketchier evidence and fringier theories, I will gladly admit to “coming around” to numerous so-called “conspiracy theories” which she championed first. I was always careful to give her credit for being right, too, when I had been wrong.
It is impossible to overstate how much DePat did for not only this site, but for her country. I urge all to say a quick prayer of thanks, whenever you think of her, for the privilege of knowing, in life or after death, such an exemplary human being, and lover of God.
And thank you, Susie, for the firm foundation which you left us, when you were called to your true home!
Private Messaging – The Role of This Site in Keeping with the Gospel
I had a bit of a revelation today, as I read today’s verse.
“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone.”
Matthew 18:15
I feel that this has several levels of impact on this site.
One of those levels is how we criticize people OUTSIDE this blog, in our analysis of the news. I think we are reasonably safe there, because we are generally not well known. If we bring attention to our discussion on X or Gab, that gets a bit trickier, because that is very public. And while it can be very difficult to DM famous people on X, it isn’t hard to drop them a kind word or a courteous critique in the depths of their timeline, knowing that hardly anybody is going to see it. Sadly, however, that “hardly anybody” typically does not include the intended recipient.
Other times, I believe that public critique of public figures is more than permissible – it’s our duty. But where do we draw lines around this? I think that’s a valid question.
I do believe that much of what we say here gets looked at by anonymous “white hats” – and that’s a good thing! So if you think somebody in the administration made an error, and needs counsel, your stated opinion here may actually find its way to them.
Here on the blog, between ourselves, it’s a bit tougher, because our interactions are DESIGNED to be public, and I encourage public communication as a way to keep things honest and “sunlight-disinfected”. Courteous speech allows quite a bit of conflict to be resolved publicly, in a surprisingly low-key way, thankfully.
People here do PM me sometimes using PMTW, but conflicts with other members are – between public crises – surprisingly few. People can always approach each other on Gab, X, or through me as well, although in keeping with the Gospel, it is perhaps better if one approaches another party directly. Sometimes people just sharing a frustration with me fits directly into what the Gospel advises (since I may be the one in need of counsel on doing my duty to resolve a conflict), or it can be a “private” way to get me to hint to another person that there is a problem. No matter what, I strive to do what God would want, as best as I can tell, at all times.
I would love to hear other people’s thoughts on this, ranging from personal experience to theology, and that is why I chose that for today’s topic. Please keep the message of Christ in mind – particularly Matthew 18:15 – as you do this. I am seeking not to drum up conflict, but rather the opposite.

They are menaces here in the mountains. In TN, September through February in the national and state parks is the season and is unlimited. You need a permit. Private property is open season all year with no permit. You can even bait and trap.

We are doing OK and our neighbors are a blessing. It just burns me that I can put names to 5 of the thieves, there was plenty of evidence but they had DEI going for them so we got crapped on by the legal system. NOTHING ever went to trial. We sat in court all day for months only to be told the case was continued while they called the criminal and told him not to bother coming. After a couple of years they told us the case was stale and they would not be pursuing it. 😡

Yes it is. However a lady I bought a pony from had a much worse experience. She volunteered at the Humane shelter. She was there after closing and hear the meeting between local politicians and the drug cartel. The found out and shot up her house just missing her son. She was then told that was a warning and to keep her mouth shut.
I talked to her not long after that happened and she was very shaken.

First – how plausible is it now that the on-stage poster on 2024-07-13, depicting both the lowest “immigration,” AND, the “APR 2020 Trump leaves office,” is EXACTLY what was true?

Not according to the Constitution, which became effective in 1789.
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:

Not exactly. He didn’t retain it; he went into retirement after serving as president (from 1789-1797), and then offered to help Pres. Adams by serving in that role.
Washington served as commanding general from July of 1798 until his death in December of 1799. John Adams was president from 1797-1801.
Here is a Letter to John Adams from George Washington of July 13, 1798, acknowledging his appointment. The following statement shows that Pres. Adams was in charge and that Washington was providing his services as needed:

I have an alternative theory of why the “April 2020” error is there.
I’m not sure that “Trump leaves office” and the date for “Lowest illegal immigration in recorded history!” are meant to be connected, but I don’t know. I hope you will share your theory.
My theory (not mine, actually, and fairly old) is that Trump sometimes seeds his graphics, tweets, Truths, etc., with known errors that make the press talk about them, and carry his water to MSM audiences, to their own detriment.
The example here is that April 2020 corresponds to Trump closing the border for COVID – not when Trump actually left office (Jan 2021
2025). However, once people look at the graph, they see exactly what Trump was saying – and saying correctly.It’s a genius move, IMO. Trump gets the message out, and he makes his enemies do it for him!

What makes you so sure that the hypotheses you are presenting are true?
You seem to be disparaging QTreepers. It is possible that some have seen the ideas and have rejected them for various reasons, or that they are withholding their support while waiting for further confirmation. In other words, they are examining, thinking, and evaluating. Failure to agree 100% with what anons say does not mean QTreepers are behind or haven’t caught on.
I have problems with inaccuracies, such as your assertion that the Commander in Chief is separate from the President. It is not. Sometimes, an inaccurate statement can be the cornerstone on which an entire hypothesis rests or falls. I have seen a number of those inaccuracies, and that leads to skepticism. It does not indicate “not having yet caught up.”
Honestly, I don’t want to catch up with some of the anti-Q-canon stuff that permeates the shillier and less disciplined parts of anon world.
The deltas are a great example of where a valid idea got stretched beyond its logical limits. The early deltas and other timings were a fun and brilliant validation of Q’s insider status and postings, but at some point it became clear to me that people were calling things that were definitely beyond Q team’s design (that’s putting it nicely). Some of that is – IMO – still valid for reasons I won’t get into – but some is just wishful thinking that gets looser and looser, with a kind of code of “don’t call it out” – which I get, and avoid criticizing too harshly, but simply can’t sign onto.
And as the wishful thinking is clearly a goal of the psy-op, I’m not going to bitch too hard. But I prefer to be a bit “overly disciplined” here. I prefer being on the more logical end of the psyop target population.

I suppose I fall into the “Q-Treeper” category. In my experience, some of the “*patriotic* anons” delve into the ream of unreality and fantasy. I don’t consider their opinions to be superior to those of people who are grounded in reality.

I’ll try to say this in more universal patriot language.
One of the problems of the larger anon boards is that the levels of unchecked enthusiasm can be high when skepticism is a bit too low, but even more concerning, the number of shills (as they are known there) is extremely high at all times, and I believe they have a significant success rate.
I believe that many good voices among the more well-known patriots (e.g., podcasters) tend to show restraint to allow shill propaganda to die on the vine, before they give it oxygen, but some of it gains credence with large groups, and the better shills will successfully dismiss contradictions with clever use of Q’s own statements about disinformation being necessary (which is true, I will grant).
I do believe that there has been a LOT of astounding moves behind the scenes, but Dear Depat grabbed a number of things that were, IMO, shill offerings that may parallel truth, but are not the truth per se. JFK Jr is a big case in point (though not as big as Putin). I am not attached to the idea that he is still alive, even though I don’t find it impossible. However, I think his probable death was extremely significant in the history of the hidden war against communist takeover of the United States – far more than may be revealed in our lifetimes.
At more debatable levels, I am comfortable with the uncertainty of many things, because I’ve adopted very strongly, what most of us are now practicing to varying extents, which could be described as “quantum thinking”, where our evolving answers to unknowns look more like a wavefunction and less like discrete binary logic. Yeah, it’s fuzzy logic, but fuzzy allows early, and early allows amazing, as we are seeing in AI, so I’m good with it!
I remain grateful to Steve for having helped make that statement make sense to far more of us than it would have otherwise. But Steve was not the only local contributor to that understanding – we all were. Even flat earth has helped prepare us for what Q was showing us coming.
I am excited for the future, and I think “the best is yet to come” – as a certain 45/47 VSG told us. And I will place my strongest bets on any Q drop that ends with “Logical thinking.”

Unlikely? Yes, IMO. And yet, “unlikely” is not “zero” or “never”, and I have learned to accept that the most powerful secrets – the things that nobody expects – can change the course of history – and so I may even say “very unlikely” and go on. Yes, wisely so. That’s why they have more credibility.
I’ve also seen examples of “Q said this” that are entirely new to me and that can’t be found within the Q drops. I’m trying to get clarification of those statements. Until I do, those will continue to appear to be manufactured, which leads to theories not entirely based in truth.
Yes, I have always acknowledged that there is a great deal that we don’t know. Q is testament to that. And the actual truth matters.
I am as well. We do not know who Q is. We do not know which Q drops were meant for whom, which ones were meant to be taken literally (except the obvious and patriotic ones, like WWG1WGA), which ones were meant metaphorically, which ones were straight-up disinformation for others than ourselves, etc. All uncertainty, but encouraging as well.

I don’t know of other Q followers, except for anons. I don’t think we are that different, except for what you said about shills (who are not true anons), unchecked enthusiasm, and what appears IMO to be, among some, a tendency to read with not enough regard for facts (meaning whether what some people say Q said was actually said by Q, for example).
To the contrary – the shills have a catastrophically poor record!
One must rely on the “OG’s,” who are only rarely present in small groups in any particular bread (thread).
One can tell from their tone, and their brief messaging.
A significant cohort of these Anons have been “on the ball” for three – six DECADES, perceiving the degrading of our laws and ethics from back then.
It’s rare, but once in a while an Anon posts a jpg or PNG graphic, about 20-25 written lol nes’ worth, absolutely lambasting and mocking-to-h*lol the incompetence of the IC hacks.
It’s really fun, and a nice uplift for lurkers! Hopefully, I can come across it and post the graphic while it’s still live (most images are lost in the archives after a very short time).
There are VERY few podcasters that the Anons give credence – e.g., Promethean Action (and way back, the ersatz Patriots Soapbox).
Anyway, it varies for me, whether very close to 1 (truth) or very close to 0 (false) – but it’s near-impossible to categorically fix them into full 1 or ‘full’ 0.

Q *specifically* invoked the LoW manual, sections 11.3 and 11.4, in their first few days – and confirmed the reference to those sections (rather than calendar dates et al.).

The only references I see by Q to those numbers appear to be dates. The phrase “Law of War” does not occur in the Q drops. If you have links to Q drops that show that Q meant the manual instead of the dates, please post them. Example:
Q940: “Now: voter intimidation in National and local elections [coming 11.3]?”
11/3 was election day in 2020.

The Department of Justice just exposed another elite medical school for doing exactly what the Supreme Court banned three years ago. UC San Diego School of Medicine ran a deliberate racial preference scheme that lowered the bar for Black and Hispanic applicants while shutting out higher-scoring White and Asian ones. They called it “hardship.” The feds called it illegal.
Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon did not mince the reality. In a scathing findings letter released Monday, her Civil Rights Division declared that San Diego Med “intentionally discriminated against applicants by granting and denying admission based on their race.” The school’s own internal data and emails left little room for spin.
After the Supreme Court’s 2023 ruling in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, race-based admissions became illegal under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. California already banned the practice decades earlier with Proposition 209. None of that stopped UC San Diego’s medical school from building a workaround.
The Shadow ProcessAdmissions staff sorted applicants into academic tiers based on MCAT scores and GPAs. Then they created “hardship” subgroups inside those tiers. Reviewers used the hardship answers—stories of overcoming disadvantages—as a racial proxy to identify and advance Black and Hispanic candidates. Those applicants were batched and steered toward interviews at higher rates.
The numbers tell the story. For the classes entering in 2023, 2024, and 2025, Black applicants were admitted at more than double the rate of White applicants. In one recent cycle the Black admission rate hit 5.25 percent while the White rate sat at 1.96 percent. Meanwhile, the median MCAT scores of admitted Black and Hispanic students lagged well behind their White and Asian classmates—sometimes by more than a dozen percentile points. GPAs showed the same pattern.
Internal emails obtained by the DOJ make the intent unmistakable. In June 2023 the director of admissions openly recommended pulling lower-scoring Group C applicants into the interview pool specifically “to include as many URM applicants as possible.” URM—underrepresented minorities in medicine—is the school’s preferred racial category for Black and Hispanic students. The goal was explicit: enroll more of them.
Merit Takes a Back SeatThis is not some abstract debate about fairness. These are future physicians. When a medical school systematically admits students with weaker academic preparation in the name of racial balance, patients eventually pay the price. Competence is not a social construct. Diagnostic skill does not care about an applicant’s skin color or childhood hardship essay.

The killer is centered. Justice is recast as persecution. And the man who dared to speak the truth about the human cost of failed immigration enforcement becomes the defendant.
Ortiz-Vite, a 27-year-old Mexican national, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the March 2024 slaying of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia in Grand Rapids. After an argument, he shot her multiple times in the head, dragged her body from her car, and left her on the shoulder of U.S. 131.
He fled in her vehicle, later turning himself in and confessing. He had previously been deported in 2020 after a drunk-driving arrest. His DACA status had expired years earlier. He simply returned illegally, as so many do under policies that treat our laws as suggestions.
Trump seized on the case during a 2024 campaign stop in Grand Rapids, correctly labeling Ortiz-Vite as emblematic of the murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers flooding across the southern border under the previous administration. His mugshot appeared in campaign ads. The killer now whines that this publicity “shattered my dignity,” turned him into a “target,” and caused him to be mocked by fellow inmates.

Former federal prosecutor Matthew Borgula noted that prisoner complaints are screened for frivolity, presidential immunity covers official acts, and mere embarrassment from true statements does not create a constitutional claim.
“The statements were substantially true, and being publicly embarrassed by a politician isn’t a constitutional violation. This case should end before it begins,” Borgula said.
Tudor Dixon, the former Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate, said, “As long as we have Democrats jetting to other countries to coddle criminal illegal aliens over margaritas, this level of arrogance and entitlement from convicted murderers will continue. Solas is doing much better. The urine sample that was sent out by his local vet to be cultured came back fine. So the issue is the elevated pancreas lipase level. That’s being treated symptomatically. He will have an ultrasound scan of his “innards” next week. Those results will provide more information.

Regarding Matthew 18:15-17
15 “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ 17 And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
In interactions here, my take is we here are in public. A pronouncement made here is similar to one made in any public place where others are present.
This came up for me not all that long ago in real life. I was at a Bible study where a woman made an assertion that was extremely against what Scripture says one should do, and it was actually spiritually dangerous. We were discussing Satan and how to deal with spiritual attacks, and she said “every day, the first thing I do in the morning is rebuke the devil!”
Even the Archangel Michael wouldn’t directly rebuke Satan! He instead said “the Lord rebuke you.”
In that moment, I made the wrong choice, and said nothing. The leader of the group, a very nice woman, said she “didn’t do that.” But no direct confrontation of the woman’s assertion was made. I’ve regretted not speaking up ever since. But I’m a “baby Christian,” and the speaker is a more “respected” person in the group, and I admit it, I was intimidated and unsure of myself and my understanding.
Since we were in a public forum, I’ve been reliably advised that I could have, within Matthew 18 guidelines, called out her error. At the time, I didn’t understand that. But her error could effect the spiritual well being of all the hearers in the room. That is the rationale, anyway.
Anyway, from all of that, it feels to me like when I or anyone posts here, we are already at “step three” of Matthew 18. Everybody here is “the church,” and the disagreement is being revealed to them. The disagreement is public when it starts, because the initial post is public. The reason I push hard on certain issues is not just because of me. It’s because of who knows how many people who are reading. I always post with those people in mind.
The “last step” of Matthew 18 then, is for the church itself to react to the disagreement. That rarely happens here, but sometimes it does. In some disagreements, I have noticed push-back from members here in various, usually mild ways. I have seen (and exercised) the strategy of ignoring the person (let them be to you as a heathen or tax collector). Sometimes I have argued hard against what the person is saying, because I see it as somehow harmful or important, and I have seen others do that, too (agreement is not always reached, either; sometimes it’s agree to disagree, let the reader decide). And in rare cases, the church “leader,” i.e. YOU, Wolf, have removed a person from the group.
It feels to me like we are “living out” Matthew 18 in the best way we can, given the “unusual” quality of our church. I would be interested in what others think about this.
Great observation IMO. A reminder to believing members and a caution light to others who want to interact in a positive way even when disagreeing.

I don’t remember the particulars, but several years ago there was some kind of men’s Christian conference where a leader publicly called out another leader.
People were upset, citing Matthew 18, but the response from the man who called out the issue was that it had started in a public forum, might be harmful to those present, and so he had behaved accordingly, and in his opinion correctly. That’s where I had my very first thoughts about this kind of thing. And it’s why I regret not acting in my Bible study. I should have.

Please don’t be too regretful about failure to act. Regretful enough to learn and to teach (as here) is good. Regretful beyond that is probably not.
Do you have insight into why one should not rebuke Satan directly? It sounds reasonable. However, things like not having “sympathy for the devil” make sense easily, but this particular point is not obvious.
I will give you my interpretation. We have no authority over Satan without Christ. So personally rebuking him is powerless and may incite demonic attacks. IMO the better approach is to wake each morning, thank the Lord for the day and His provision. Then ask Him for protection from sin and Satan. One way is directly confrontational of evil forces and the other acknowledges we are solely dependent on Christ. This always takes me back to what I consider to be one of the most important scriptural lessons in the NT – John 15:5 –
I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
The context for this is about witnessing for Christ, however, it is clear from His words that we only have power to accomplish anything through our connection to Him, which would include “rebuking the devil”.

I was thinking about DPat a couple days ago … a beautiful interior of a cathedral in St. Louis scrolled trough my X acct, and I wondered if her lovely voice had ever rung out in song there. I can tell you that she almost certainly sang in that cathedral. Both in public posts here, and in private communications about her schedule, I learned that Susie was the “emergency singer” for almost every Catholic choir in STL! She got called in at the last minute constantly. Just like here, she loved to help out whenever she could.
If I could bet on her having sung there, I would empty my wallet! 😅

When SP passed, I thought of the deep pain, the Engineer was enduring, having lost his partner of numerous decades. DP IIRC, took extra good care of her Father. Couch Potato surely impacted. Until DP passed, Couch Potato, never realized how truly blessed he was to have DP as his sister. DP hugely respected The Marine Aviator in Hawaii.

COMMENTARY FOR JEREMIAH 29
Two letters to the captives in Babylon; In the first, they are recommended to be patient and composed. (1-19) In the second, judgments are denounced against the false prophets who deceived them. (20-32)
1-7 The written word of God is as truly given by inspiration of God as his spoken word. The zealous servant of the Lord will use every means to profit those who are far off, as well as those who are near him. The art of writing is very profitable for this end; and by the art of printing it is rendered most beneficial for circulating the knowledge of the word of God. God’s sending to the captives by this letter would show that he had not forsaken them, though he was displeased, and corrected them. If they live in the fear of God, they may live comfortably in Babylon. In all conditions of life, it is our wisdom and duty not to throw away the comfort of what we may have, because we have not all we would have. They are directed to seek the good of the country where they were captives. While the king of Babylon protected them, they must live quiet and peaceable lives under him, in all godliness and honesty; patiently leaving it to God to work deliverance for them in due time.
8-19 Let men beware how they call those prophets whom they choose after their own fancies, and how they consider their fancies and dreams to be revelations from God. False prophets flatter people in their sins, because they love to be flattered; and they speak smoothly to their prophets, that their prophets may speak smoothly to them. God promises that they should return after seventy years were accomplished. By this it appears, that the seventy years of the captivity are not to be reckoned from the last captivity, but the first. It will be the bringing to pass of God’s good word to them. This shall form God’s purposes. We often do not know our own minds, but the Lord is never at an uncertainty. We are sometimes ready to fear that God’s designs are all against us; but as to his own people, even that which seems evil, is for good. He will give them, not the expectations of their fears, or the expectations of their fancies, but the expectations of their faith; the end he has promised, which will be the best for them. When the Lord pours out an especial spirit of prayer, it is a good sign that he is coming toward us in mercy. Promises are given to quicken and encourage prayer. He never said, Seek ye me in vain. Those who remained at Jerusalem would be utterly destroyed, notwithstanding what the false prophets said to the contrary. The reason has often been given, and it justifies the eternal ruin of impenitent sinners; Because they have not hearkened to my words; I called, but they refused.
20-32 Jeremiah foretells judgments upon the false prophets, who deceived the Jews in Babylon. Lying was bad; lying to the people of the Lord, to delude them into a false hope, was worse; but pretending to rest their own lies upon the God of truth, was worst of all. They flattered others in their sins, because they could not reprove them without condemning themselves. The most secret sins are known to God; and there is a day coming when he will bring to light all the hidden works of darkness. Shemaiah urges the priests to persecute Jeremiah. Their hearts are wretchedly hardened who justify doing mischief by having power to do it. They were in a miserable thraldom for mocking the messengers of the Lord, and misusing his prophets; yet in their distress they trespass still more against the Lord. Afflictions will not of themselves cure men of their sins, unless the grace of God works with them. Those who slight the blessings, deserve to lose the benefit of God’s word, like Shemaiah. The accusations against many active Christians in all ages, amount to no more than this, that they earnestly counsel men to attend to their true interest and duties, and to wait for the performance of God’s promises in his appointed way.

Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.

I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. The green new scam is being exposed and destroyed, it was never about making the earth green, it was about taxes and control over the people. Fake news pushing gold because they believe Trump is destroying the world economy. The [DS] is in the dark, their clearances have been stripped away and they do not have access in the Pentagon. They are building the narrative that no one can win the war in Iran so Trump should just give up. This means that Iran is in trouble and they are trying to stop the strikes. Trump is building the case against those who over through the US government so he can reverse what they put into place.

Thank you profoundly for this DePat Tuesday post.
She is missed. Every day.
Let me tell you about her singing voice.
She took voice lessons while she was in college. Not, I believe, as a Music Major (her major areas of study were different from music), but with a very good voice teacher.
Susie Sampson’s voice can be classified, in my opinion as a retired voice teacher and performing vocalist myself, as a lyric-coloratura soprano.
This voice type is that which sings, in opera, roles like that of Elizabeth Doe (The Ballad of Baby Doe); Cleopatra (Handel’s Julius Caesar); and, Gilda (Rigoletto).
In her work as a church cantor, however, Susie usually used the lower octave and a half of her singing register, due to the fact that the music she sang to lead the congregation and the choir were written for untrained singers or for choirs with limited singing ability.
When Susie sang as a cantor, in her lower octave and a half, she would likely have used the “head register” to sing, not the “chest register”, although there were probably times that she had to use the “chest register” for more power.
But I can guarantee you that, no matter what she had to sing as cantor or choir section leader, Susie Sampson would make sure that her personal vocal warmup would include going through her entire range, all the way up to the highest notes.
And, as all professional singers and voice teachers, Susie made sure that her vocal apparatus was in the best physical shape possible at all times.
I do not know if Susie took more voice lessons after she left college.
I believe, in my opinion, that her body type was that which would be seen in a professional operatic lyric-coloratura soprano — not too large, but not small, either; with a ribcage big enough to allow her lungs to expand to the fullest. In other words, a full but NOT “the fat lady sings” type of body.
