So now Dems have people openly running as DSA members, on platforms that would gut the Constitution, and they have won in at least one leftist area. I don’t see that as just a generational power struggle within the Dem Party. I see it as creeping Communism becoming more bold, empowered by the quote above: Dems operating on the idea that they can, and have to, sneak in the socialists and communists. The Dem Party has been outed, and they’re going to have to deal with it.
He didn’t create a new ideology because adherence to the original one, based on our founding documents, was what was needed. IMO Schlichter greatly simplifies and paints with a broad brush here. The Tea Party differed in a number of respects from MAGA, although both are pro-American. I also don’t consider PDJT to have “cleverly” made himself an avatar, which IMO implies a less-than-genuine belief system and more the filling of a role. Donald Trump didn’t step in because the Tea Party paved the way for him; he talked about running for president long before the Tea Party came into being, and he has been consistent in his stated beliefs from those days to these.
And DJT is on the record all over the place going back to the 1980s at least, and he always seems to be saying the same things then as he is now 😁

The SCOTUS birthright citizenship ruling might be released tomorrow. I hope I’m wrong, but I expect to be disappointed.
