I must admit, I have great fears re: AI, as I can easily see it as being the 2nd Beast spoken of in the Book of Revelations, having the control where “no man, rich or poor, freed or bonded, may buy or sell, without the mark of the beast.”
Agree. AI is a creation of man, same as a nuclear bomb which thankfully has been recognized as a potential life-as-we-know-it ender. It has at least been respected as power so great that it must be carefully guarded.
IMO AI has the possibility to be just as destructive on a very different scale. Many many school age kids and adults too no longer use other sources for information other than their ever ready, one click AI servant.
Brains are going to atrophy. Who would learn complicated formulas when handy AI will provide it? You’d have no way to even check it..since ya didn’t learn how to in the first place.
I know for a fact that jr high and high schoolers (in Ca) use it extensively. They can even ask AI to write their assignment ‘as’ a 14 yr old would and it does .
Between the school kids and some 30’s/40’s children of someone that I know..they use it for realistic yet fake resumes, business plans…all kinds of stuff while they sit back and wait for AI to do it’s thing

We were getting the News Letter Dr Robinson published, Access to Energy, at the time of his wife’s death so we had a blow-by-blow of Dr Robinson’s thoughts. Laurelee, who was also a scientist, passed away suddenly in 1988. Laurelee had been homeschooling their six children. Dr Robinson and his friends took her file cabinet of material and orgaized it into 1 thru 12. That was the origin.
One of Dr Robinson’s articles stood out. He took his kids to a Demonrat state where one of his children fell ill. So he took the child to the emergency room. His other kids waited in the car. A nurse interacted with those kids and decided they were ABUSED BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO POLITE AND WELL BEHAVED!
The state tried to grab his child and he had to remain by his side the entire time to prevent him from being grabbed. Once the child was better Dr Robinson skedaddled out of that state despite having a later court appearance date. He has never been back. The kids all tested out of the first two years of college BTW.

The simple fact, here, is that YOU created the issue at hand and, after doing so, then you A) want to absolve yourself of having done so, then B) play a victim.

“Tag-teaming” is a pejorative term that IMO has no place here. It implies that two or more people are colluding against others, when the opposite is true. I respond to whatever I have an opinion about. If someone else has the same opinion as mine, or a similar one, and also expresses it, that’s just what happens when people are having discussions. There is no collusion or any cooperation with a negative intent.
I find many of your comments to be pejorative and not in keeping with the atmosphere here.

🔥On Friday, the Blue States filed a Motion to Enforce TRO claiming Trump Administration had violated TRO. Tonight Trump Administration responded. The filings illustrate precisely what I noted were issues before: that court failed to conclude what law would be violated.

4/ Response makes several points that I had highlighted before as things still allowed: Some of the funding frozen was frozen b/c it came from other agencies that weren’t defendants. Other funding frozen b/c it was frozen by earlier EOs and an earlier OMB Directive.
5/ Other grants are in review process to ensure comply with statutes–and TRO said you can w/h if required by statute, reg., or grant.
6/ Also interesting is that grantees all started to try to pull huge amount of funds out triggering automatic red flag that required manual review of files and that is causing delay.
7/ Court created mess because it never addressed any specific grant or specific Defendant so it now needs to determine if Trump Administration violated TRO with variety of different grants, with a variety of reasons they weren’t yet distributed, including reasons unrelated to
8/8 freeze. I’d wager, nonetheless, court will find violation of TRO, which is absolutely nuts because there is no irreparable harm–you can always sue & get the money for everything they are complaining about.

The @DOGE team just discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. Sending this money violated the law and is in gross insubordination to the President’s executive order. That money is meant for American disaster relief and instead is being spent on high end hotels for illegals! A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.

Our Energizer Bunny POTUS is non-stop. He was still in DC when the event started on Friday. Flew back to MAL, participated some on Saturday, then took off with Melania and Ivanka to the SB, only to be back at work today. She said the family members are all so gracious and a joy to be around.
I do not know how he does it, but I know he has a highly efficient group of people around him doing their parts without missing a beat. For all of that I am truly grateful.

Trump and company had to know this was going to happen. Maybe the strategy is for it to go to SCOTUS and settle the issue.
He did know and said as much while signing the EO and taking questions. Words to the effect that of all the EO’s being signed he suspected this one would be challenged and go to court.
This judge is a GW Bush appointee.
Hopefully they have FISA or similar surveillance on all of these judges and the democrap politburo directing them, who are conspiring to interfere with the rights, duties and obligations of the Executive Branch of the United States of America, and they will all be arrested.
The communications between all these different parties must be FAST and FURIOUS, in order to respond to every new E.O. and firing and DOGE discovery, coordinate a response, and execute it.
The NSA is going to have to build a whole new wing to house the servers and hard drives to store all of this electronic evidence of coordinated criminal activity.

I used to mute the Oakland Raiders games, and listen to Bill King doing the play-by-play…. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the Raiders (and the A’s, and the Warriors, and IIRC the Seals(!)) as well as just about everything else… opera, literature, travel, you-name-it…
(of course if the vid or the audio had a delay loop or something, it didn’t work too well 🙂 )…..

It’s so crazy how the sound of a voice can take you back. By the way, I caddied as a kid at Birmingham Country Club outside of Detroit. Mr. Harwell was not a member there, but he showed up one Saturday as a guest of one of the members and I was assigned his bag. I was probably 13 years old…Summer of 1973…and a big Tiger fan. What a cool guy and a total gentlemen. I spent 4 hours with Mr. Harwell that day, walking the course and talking, not just about golf, but about anything. Looking back, he was probably trying to concentrate on his golf game that day and not on the annoying caddy who had a million other questions for him about the Tigers. But no topic was off limits that day and we talked a lot of baseball. It was 47 years ago and I still remember that day. That’s the kind of man that Ernie Harwell was.

Todays crappy announcers make me long for the days of a guy I listened to for many years Harry Caray and the guys I didnt get to listen to but was honored to hear about! Ernie Harwell is right up there with Mel Allen, Jack Buck (too bad I couldnt have kicked him square in the nuts that Joe Buck was conceived) Vin Scully, Bob Uecker, Phil Rizzutto, I know I may have missed a few! But thank God I got to know them or know about them! God bless ya!
Hubby has Dan Miller, local Fox sports guy who calls the Lions games on radio, ready to switch from TV to radio to hear his “touchdown Detroit Lions” whenever we score. The delay makes that audio during regular game play too disconcerting, though his verbiage is Way better than TV!

The schools have all the money. Students should file class-action lawsuits against practically all universities in America.
They paid for an education they never received. They were sold a lie, that they would have the American Dream if they got a college degree, and then the colleges taught them basket-weaving and female studies.
Now they are out of college in the real world, with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt, and no education that has any application in the real world.
It’s outright fraud.
State A.G.s should prosecute the leadership of the universities and shut them down.
Class action lawsuits by students should bankrupt all of them, and their endowments, and make the students whole.
That should just about do it.

Those kids got the loans via the govt, not from the universities, and the universities will argue they were happy to provide degrees in A) whatever the govt was willing to subsidize and B) whatever the students wanted.

BUT, they weren’t forcing students to choose that degree, and if that’s what the students wanted, they were only to happy to sell it to them.

Courts have consistently ruled that higher education institutions and their officers do not owe a fiduciary duty to students. Instead, the fiduciary duty of college officers and trustees is owed to the institution itself, not to its students.
Moreover, it’s not illegal to sell a degree in any subject that does not constitute a crime (such as offering a degree in bank robbery, for example) and for which a student is willing to pay.

Not only this, but “value” is in the eyes of the purchaser. Most people would see having a pet rock as having no value, but some would. And if enough do, then one can make a lot of money, such as the guy who invented the idea of selling pet rocks (he became a multi-millionaire).
Show me the federal law that says a college cannot offer a degree in basket-weaving and I’ll agree that doing so was illegal.
The problem is govt funding/spending.
The govt NEVER placed limits upon the degrees it would underwrite for student loans. The govt never said “we’ll only loan you the $$ for degrees that lead to a viable job/career, not esoteric degrees that have very limited career paths (if any).”
That’s on the govt, not the schools, and I’d tell the govt to go pound sand with it’s indictments. If the govt never loaned the idiots the money, the idiots wouldn’t have worthless degrees. 🤷♂️

Nobody in Treasury management cared enough before. I do want to credit the working level people in Treasury who have wanted to do this for many years, but have been stopped by prior management.
Everything at Treasury was geared towards complain minimization. People we receive money don’t complain, but people who don’t receive money (especially fraudsters) complain very loudly, so the fraud was allowed to continue.
