This is a thread for reporting your ACTUAL PERSONAL ground reports – what you are SEEING and HEARING about the coronavirus, and your THOUGHTS in relation to those things.
I’ll go first.
I was at the FLYOVER GROCERY STORE today.
These are the things I observed….
People are using the wipes on the cart handles without any self-consciousness.
Stock on freshly baked bread seemed lower than normal.
Easter candy is already out on display.
The number of people seemed normal.
Crowd behavior seemed normal.
Overall vitamin stock was FULL.
Vitamin C was dented but no items were empty – down to 2 or 3 bottles left on the shelf for some of the “economy size” items, so Vitamin C is definitely getting hit, but not OUT.
No other vitamins or supplements seemed affected.
Note that there are no COVID-19 patients in said city or region.
Orange juice stock looked normal.
All other stock looked normal.
Clorox Wipes have been placed on display at the end of the CANNED FOOD AISLE.
Wipes in the display were moving but not briskly enough to set off any alarms.
Canned food stocks are NORMAL.
Specials on mac-and-cheese, energy bars, tuna, and other “short term normie prepper” foods.
No grocery carts seemed to be of a “prepper” nature.
No panic behavior by cars or people.
So that’s it – pretty uneventful.

Apparently, our little Coronavirus thread, and updated threads, are MILES ahead of the politicians and pundits on MSM (Sure wish we received classified briefings though, can you put in a word for us, Wolfie?) AND, I’ve found, publishing OUR link, along with a message of “We’ve been working on this issue since January. Here are 100’s of links, videos, sources, and hints. Be informed, not fearful”……… shuts down all political opposition. It’s truly stunning how ill-informed the media is on the subject (or they are intentionally misleading the public). The amount of DISINFO presents a hazard.
Nonetheless, our little thread has tremendous value, both as real information for those who are new to the subject or genuinely worried, AND for those who using the virus as a political weapon. I shared our thread today across social media. In the last 7 hours, I’ve received at least 2 dozen private messages of thanks and hundreds of short messages……. people feel better when they have information in their hands. Let’s give them information.
The current thread expires at the end of the month and I’m putting together a new one for the first week of March. Thinking we will update once a week until crisis subsides. Good idea or no?

You guys pull items from Chiefio, foreign sources, etc. We always joked that QTree was an amazing collection of expertise, and we’re proving it now, when it counts. We’re fortunate to have different people with varying skill sets (medical- econ- VALUABLE hints from our grandparents- herbal medicine- Heloise-type-hints on how to keep a clean home/office) to add to the post. And it’s the only way to examine the whole problem.

In fact, “the Q we knew and they loved to denigrate” was like just a single coronavirus spike on the total package, but one with UNDENIABLE, LOGICAL, and FORENSICALLY IRREFUTABLE modified features that pointed with great certainty toward its ORIGIN and TRUTH.
Yes Jenn – you lose TWO TIMES on THAT exact point. ENJOY THE SHOW.
Q is so big, when you understand its true extent and magnitude, that it becomes quite easy to see why it simply scares the HELL out of these people.
The irony is particularly rich here, and of course absolutely exemplary of the fact that the LEFT – of which Jenn Rubin is a “card-carrying” member – is all about accusing others of what THEY either DO or ARE.
NO – the leftists, both the open ones on the left and hidden ones on the fake right, are ON THE ROPES NOW – quite authentically – after having been ROPE-A-DOPED by the one guy who totally got Muhammad Ali at a Sun Tzu level – his authentic friend, Donald J. Trump.
As the electorate is gradually and continuously – as in “nothing can stop what’s coming” – wising up to how the Washington sell-out elite has sandbagged us for well over a century – more so since the advent of FAKE NEWS – the old reliable WEAPONS of the left are simply falling apart.

Of these weapons, DUPES are among the greatest prizes that Trump has liberated from crypto-Bolshevik worldview captivity. Speaking from my own experience, there is NOTHING – and NOBODY – like a wised-up DUPE to take down communists.
The greatest example, IMO – the great Whittaker Chambers.

The fact that I’m bringing Whittaker Chambers up at the same time as Tom Cotton and other former #NeverTrump, or maybe even Jenn Rubin and Alger Hiss, is not due to the inherent similarity of their VERY dissimilar cases, but rather because I want to make an incredibly important point.
DUPING – DECEPTION OF UNDERLINGS, TARGETS, THE OPPOSITION, AND EVEN BYSTANDERS is a CONSTANT across all levels and reaches of communist conspiracy. The duping of Whittaker Chambers and Alger Hiss by their masters differed only from the duping of Jennifer Rubin and Tom Cotton in the type, nature, and specifics of the lies used to get them to behave as desired.
Even within the hierarchy of committed communists, an extraordinary amount of deception occurs in EVERY interaction. It is a nearly, if not exactly, Luciferian economy of lies – not unlike the “carbon economy” that the “climate commies” almost imposed upon us through THEIR army of dupes. One cannot even begin to unravel communist conspiracy without, at every turn, considering whether a player is KNOWING, UNKNOWING, DECEIVED, or ALL OF THE ABOVE. Indeed, Senator Joe McCarthy’s greatest mistake was – in my opinion – failure to sympathize with the dupe – or – more specifically – to sympathize with the dupe in every player.
If you can’t see yourself as a communist pawn, as McCarthy eventually became, you cannot see what they’re doing. It’s a battle with THE LIE itself, and everybody loses a little in the process.
When you understand that the most diehard opponents of communism can easily become its most reliable and predictable marionettes, ready to jump through the right hoops in the left’s next false puppet show (Sea Island conservatives, anyone?), THEN you understand what we are truly up against.
So have a little sympathy for Jenn Rubin – she’s gonna need it. She – like all the rest of us – has been a dupe of the left.

And yet – well – you would do well to read it, just to see how the screaming has gone up by an order of magnitude. That query came to mind when Harvard Law school graduate Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) descended into sheer quackery and decided to perpetrate conspiracies about the origin of the coronavirus. The Post reports:

Cotton referenced a laboratory in the city, the Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, in an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.” He said the lab was near a market some scientists initially thought was a starting point for the virus’s spread.
This is unadulterated nonsense, one step removed from anti-vaxxer rubbish and UFO-spotting. (“In response to Cotton’s remarks, as well as in previous interviews with The Washington Post, numerous experts dismissed the possibility the coronavirus may be man-made.”)

Koval is MUCH more embarrassing than the Rosenbergs, because he exposes a lot of history you’re not supposed to know about. So with that in mind, I wanted to bring everybody’s attention to a recent article which I found in my copy of “Imprimis” – one of the absolute best and most cutting-edge “Trumpian” publications out there.
Imprimis is one of the few publications I truly respect these days, and not only because I can just imagine the cultural Marxists snarking on a setting of BROIL about every issue. Imprimis is timely, and it’s intelligent, but most of all, it’s TRUMPIAN – meaning a VSG can read it and do a typical happy “Trump sniff” in agreement, and actually learn something from field specialists. I learn great stuff from Imprimis all the time, and I think you all can, too.
Imprimis is SORELY LACKING in “phony intellectualism” – you know – stuff like “let’s get rid of all cattle and bring back the buffalo herds”. That idea was known as the “buffalo commons” – and – well, you can tell just from the NAME where the idea came from.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, there has been some “apologizing” and “mollifying” of said idea to make it sound less and less hare-brained over time, but let’s be honest – it’s perfectly exemplary of what I’m talking about. The promotion of this kind of thinking in academia is a big part of keeping humanity down, IMHO.
Now I LOVE buffalo for a LOT of reasons, but there is a special kind of academic tomfoolery which absolutely infects the left, and – JOY OF JOYS – you will find absolutely none of it – NONE OF IT – in Imprimis.

This is emotional. This is appeal to emotion. Yeah, it’s fun – but we can’t go spending billions or trillions of dollars based on emotions. LOGICAL THINKING FOR THE WIN.
However, it’s actually a complicated business. The truth is, even when we appeal to LOGIC – even when we engage in LOGICAL THINKING – we are still, to a great extent, appealing to emotions.
Generally, these are “cool” emotions – not so much “cold anger” or “cold fear”, but more like “cool hope”. Hope that there is no war. Hope that we can defend our way of life. Love of country, and the things we have valued all our lives. When we are LOGICALLY thinking about how to defend our way of life – and even our PLANET as a whole – we are thinking emotionally down at the base. It’s OK – just recognize it. Logic and emotion can coexist sanely. Especially if they’re GOOD EMOTIONS.

Now, consider the article.
I agree with all of the things that Lt. Gen. Kwast says in his defense of the idea of the Space Force, and the reason I want you to read this, is to see that there is great logic in what he is saying. If you operate from the conservative thinking that we share here, then almost all of what he’s saying is pretty much a no-brainer, other than figuring out HOW TO DO IT as fast as he thinks (and I think) we need to proceed.
In fact, my thinking is that “the other side” – loosely defined – is ALWAYS trying to slow down our work in space – to control it, to keep it penned in – to keep it subordinate to something which pretty much looks like the Chinese military at this point.
But set ALL of that aside.
I want to ADD some reasons to what Lt. Gen. Kwast is giving us.
I think that – from a “globalist” standpoint – meaning the standpoint of many of the OPPONENTS of President Trump – the most RESPONSIBLE nation needs to lead the way in space. And – quite frankly – and particularly under President Trump and Vice President Pence….
THAT IS US.
Yeah, I know it’s fashionable and vain and all “virtuous” and “virtue-signaling” on the LEFT to be self-deprecating under such circumstances. “Blame America First” and all that. But it’s not smart. BE REAL. China and India aren’t ready, they’re too self-centered, too grossly ambitious, and not going to give a good result for everybody. You KNOW it’s true, globalists. Russia? Well, frankly, they’ll do better following Trump than leading on their own. And you know THAT is true, too. Particularly when people get off Russia’s case, because they have no more sketchy plays, or any need to make them.
Likewise, on the right it’s fashionable – if not de rigueur – to state that OF COURSE America is THE BEST and yada yada yada, which – even if true – tends to become habit more than a carefully checked truth every time the argument is either needed or simply seems obvious. And America CAN BE and WILL BE stupid, on occasion, have no doubt, as Obama just proved to us.
Now I’m not one of these people who buys many arguments about Chinese inferiority and failure to invent, or be capable of invention. I just don’t buy it. I read a lot of scientific work by Chinese scientists and engineers in my day, and I never saw evidence of this AT ALL. Likewise, more recently, in studying how China has fooled the West over and over – NO – you’re not going to convince me that it’s just “Those Smart JOOZ(TM)” or “The Rothschilds(TM)” who are the actual brains behind China’s extraordinarily successful scamming of the West. Yeah, there are a bunch of Euro-Globos and Wall Streeters and Chinese and Muslims and “whatever” who are all “frenemies” and figuring out how to both ally with each other and beat the others at the same time, as they FEED on American wealth and good-natured victimhood. But if anything, I’d say that this alliance of SHARKS argues for equal membership in whatever school they’ve formed.
In any case, the Chinese ain’t stupid. In fact, they’re so smart, they MADE MANY OF US BELIEVE an extraordinary amount of superiority BULLSHIT while they LIFTED OUR WALLET.

Well, now that we’ve woken up just a bit – but are also operating under a President who authentically despises the waste of war, maybe NOW really is the time for us to LEAD SANELY ON SPACE, and SET AN EXAMPLE for everybody else.

USA is concerned about getting accurate stats and info for incubation period, mortality rate, number of dead, ill, etc., and concerned we are not getting accuracy in reporting from CCP. NOW, the Chinese have agreed to allow in a team from the WHO, to include American physicians. Note: several members of the WHO were recently replaced by those who favor China.
The following study is leaking out of India and causing serious alarm. It’s why our stock market was down 600 points last Friday. STUDY is NOT confirmed as yet and has been removed, but drifting all over the internet. We thought it was a good idea to address the rumor and NOT avoid it. Those who are seriously involved on this issue are crawling all over these findings. Why? Because of the alleged results. India study claims there is another RNA strand in the virus….. which would not naturally occur, implying it is a bioweapon or manufactured by man. People flipped out over this rumor and the market sold off in a big way. Again, NOT confirmed and serious questions about peer review for this study – study has been REMOVED which only raises more questions.

From a posting by a person who received an email from an MD friend — this MD is ALREADY doing these: N-100 masks and disposable gloves for ALL outside interactions beginning 7 February (already doing this in-clinic); Replace ALL home air filters / AC and heatpump filters every 2 weeks until the danger passes; Disinfect ALL doorknobs / railings / handles etc. with disinfectant wipes (hospital-grade); HOTTEST WATER possible / tolerable for laundry / dishwasher / showering; Have a “drop room” area in the home where ALL clothes are removed upon returning home. These clothes go directly into the washing machine. SHOES are sprayed inside and out with Lysol. Proceed to take a hot shower and put on clean clothes. This MD’s grandfather (also an MD) followed a similar routine during the 1918-1920 Great Spanish Flu pandemic. Apparently they have the grandmother’s diary from that time which detailed how they survived.
From other comments: If the Wuhan Coronavirus does indeed follow the various projections of infection / death rate, it will be imperative for people to be able to shelter in place for an extended time, with only medical personnel and (probably limited) police-fire-EMS services available to work outside the home. It will be imperative for people to have enough supplies, including prescription drugs, at home..

None of us want to spread bad information, and we don’t want to OVERreact and spread hysteria. The problem with this issue is, that as fast as the disease is spreading, so is the bad information. Thus, this thread. Perhaps we can sort fact from fiction within this forum.

If we think of the Coronavirus as a super version of a common cold, then we should make sure to wash hands, doorknobs, switchplates, cover mouth and nose when sneezing, ……. and don’t eat partially cooked bat soup from China. NOTE: The CDC in the USA has changed their position and is specifically NOT confirming the source of the disease as the Wet Animal Market in Wuhan. The CDC has yet to determine the source of this disease.
