Okay, so over the weekend, there was interest in finding a way to explain Que to the uninitiated. There were quite a number of suggested articles, videos, and other resources to get people started in understanding just what Que is and is not. (It’s not a theory, and as far as we know any conspiracy involved is perfectly legal.)
While the resources are good, and the dives are relatively deep, the information is not always distilled into an easily digestible format, or a simple explanation that is really what the general public needs as a counter to the mockingbird mainstream media hit job currently underway.
With that in mind, and…since this writer is a firm believer in making a point using the least number of syllables even if I don’t always practice that principle, I am going to suggest individuals develop an elevator pitch explaining Que in their own words.
What’s an elevator pitch?
Something like this, short and sweet with just enough detail to give the gist of the bigger picture:
Que is a small group of people believed to be military intelligence members posting messages on public chat boards. The messages include lists of questions designed to get the readers to research public information on a variety of topics related to how public officials have been selling out the United States for well over a hundred years, and how entertainment and the mainstream media is used by our enemies to influence public opinion and divide the American people.
Or you could try something like this:
Anything which is effective would be good.
Now, it’s your turn. Please, put your elevator pitch explaining Que in the comments, and please be charitable when critiquing the work of others. We’re all on the same team here.

After having worked with and UNDER a bunch of CCP creeps, who snuck in and took over, I can tell you exactly what is going on with the Democrat party.
Democrats are now the ARM of the CCP in America – a mouthpiece for whatever socialist insanity the ChiComs want to inflict. Every possible hypocrisy will be forced upon us – “rules for thee and not for me” – to get us to knuckle under and accept our “place”.
Biden was a little late to get on the mask train in a big way, which just shows that he’s slow, even compared to various “little tyrant” governors who got there first. Maybe Biden was saving it for his “big opener” after he was assigned Kamala Harris as his running mate.
“I would insist that everybody out in public be wearing that mask.”
Note the subtle combination of CONFUSION and Nazi enforcement reflex in the next one.
“Anyone to reopen would have to make sure that they walked into a business that had masks,” he said.
THAT is some cognitive decline RIGHT THERE. Biden can’t figure out if he’s talking about the store or the customer because he is CONFUSED just by continuous speech.
And if you think Biden is just saying “masks in stores”, think again.
“We absolutely need a clear message from the very top of our federal government that everyone needs to wear a mask in public, period,” he said.
Here is the money quote, that tells you why “Beijing Biden” is so comfortable with the CCP.
“It’s not about your rights; it’s about your responsibilities,” Biden said. He tried to present the issue as a matter of patriotism to protect fellow Americans.
NOW – this is interesting. Watch what Trump says in response.
In a news conference later Thursday, Trump took issue with Biden’s nationwide call for mask-wearing, ignoring that the Democrat urged governors to issue mandates.
“[Biden] does not identify what authority the president has to issue such a mandate,” Trump said, “or why we would be stepping on governors throughout our country.”
Trump added: “If the president has the unilateral power to order every single citizen to cover their face in nearly all instances, what other powers does he have?”
There’s a lot to unpack here.
First of all, Biden’s cognitive decline – just screaming in the second quote. Biden gets confused between the BEGINNING and END of the sentence. That is BAD, and it’s OBVIOUS.
Secondly, note how the media tries to protect Biden here, in essence saying that Trump didn’t say about governors what he said about governors. It’s subtle, but the LyingPress just gets away with it every time.
Joe Biden is pushing a "national mandate to wear a mask" — something we knew he supported, but Democrats claimed he just wanted Governors to do this.
Lastly, note how Trump has gotten the Democrats and the press onto THIN ICE with masks. They sure seem “all in” for masks, don’t they?
Trump never went there – did he? Trump mentioned VOLUNTARY masks from the beginning. He has steadfastly refused to be baited into NON-VOLUNTARY masks, although he has let governors issue what have turned out to be hated and despised mask edicts.
Funny, isn’t it?
In my opinion, Trump gave the Democrats ALL the rope they needed to tie themselves up – and not just that – it was THEIR ROPE – left over from hoarding masks, just like the CCP did. Trump knew the Dems would try to get rid of their masks for CASH, and that they would do it in a bullying and flagrantly despicable style which would be their undoing.
You want to wear masks for the rest of your life? I can tell you exactly who to vote for.
Nope. Trump has BLESSED THE MARRIAGE of Democrats and Masks.
People are going to remember, as they CAST THEIR VOTES TO GET RID OF MASKS.
NOW – I could tell you that Masks are going to be bad for Democrats simply for people hating them, and wanting to get rid of them. But that’s not all.
Masks are going to have their own #LancetGateEffect moment, and Democrats are always going to be remembered as the CCP STOOGES who fell for China’s game of “how can we actually make the stupid Americans stupider?”.

Rebellion Against Masks on Twitter
I was not originally opposed to masks. I have people I follow on Twitter like yohiobaseball who are vehemently opposed to masks, e.g., Mike DeWine’s mask mandate, and I did not initially go along with their opposition, which was not articulated LOGICALLY, but purely from a FREEDOM standpoint.
The problem was, I was laser-pointered to only look at the GOOD masks MIGHT do in preventing infection by COVID-19. There is some evidence that “masks work” in that respect.
Then, I realized that FLU is actually a much worse problem than COVID-19, and THUS it would be illogical to EVER get rid of masks. That simply doesn’t make sense. The problem is that we are not being logical right now. We didn’t have masks in the past – at a time when we were MORE LOGICAL.
Something is NOT RIGHT with using a “new sub-flu” to make us all wear masks now. What are we missing?
What we are missing is the focus on why we never wore masks before. We are missing the NEGATIVE side of masks.
Why? Because the NEGATIVE side of masks is COMMON SENSE. Masks simply CANNOT help respiration, oxygenation, and COGNITION. They have to hurt – the only question is HOW MUCH.
And THAT is what I “rediscovered” by simply taking my oximeter – left over from COVID self-therapy – and using it to test the effects of my masks.
BASIC. FRIGGING. SCIENCE.
What follows FIRST is a bunch of Twitter “realizations” that masks are problematic, which led to my experiments.

"Doctors do it" is simply not a health proof – particularly coming from a profession (I have known many) which often requires or encourages an incredible amount of self-abuse, such as sleep deprivation.
The question of mask/brain O2 deficit and CO2 excess is readily answered.

HERE is where I really got it. This is when I started EXPERIMENTING with masks and my oximeter.
Wake up! I can MEASURE my oxygen hurt by all 3 of my masks, using my pulse oximeter. It's mild, but it's persistent and long. 97 (sleepy) is not 98 (calm) is not 99 (alert), and 93 is where they take you to the hospital.
One of my best realizations with masks is that THEY can stop ME from convincing YOU with MY DATA that masks cause inevitable cognitive decline, because THEY control our communications.
There are more of us than them; they just control the mechanisms that allow us to communicate with each other – nothing more. Remember that!
It’s all part of “reactive disinformation”, something I realized in October of 2017, during the Las Vegas attacks. At that time, “trolls” (in reality, Chertoff-Hayden cubicle rats) were creating NEW photographic meme disinformation in a continuous fashion, REACTING to each discovery we made, to THWART US on discovering what was really going on.
I began to realize that we needed ways to bypass reactive disinformation. Bypassing reactive information is, in fact, part of what Q does.
Modern internet warfare on Twitter is basically a giant distraction from HONEST debate by bombardment with DISINFORMATION using DISHONEST techniques. I have now spent enough time FREE of “Fake Normal” that I remember what HONEST DEBATE includes – and Democrats are INCAPABLE of honest debate.
Real, regular, good science is literally impossible with people who don’t subject their own “side” to scrutiny, but waste EVERYBODY’S time by subjecting what does not need scrutiny to scrutiny.
The answer is to BYPASS DISHONEST PEOPLE. Shut them out of the scrutiny loop.
Yeah, I can stick my numbers out here and we will argue about them because that is how FAKE SCIENCE works now. Fauci calling remdesivir the new standard when it had absolutely cringeable numbers – THAT is Fake Science right there. How do you fight against that crap? You can’t, unless you can FIRE FAUCI and put Dr. Zelenko in his place. You want to see WAR with Bill Gates? Try THAT.
However, they cannot stop YOU from proving TO YOURSELF that masks cause cognitive decline.
Better still, THAT is science itself. Duplicating results – reality checking – reproducibility.
It’s very “Q”. It BYPASSES the reactive disinformation.

That is exactly why I’m BRINGING IT HERE. Let’s dig in.
Subvert masks. MODEL things like….
– stealthy removal – "cheater breaths" – pull out the chin to deep breath – use an oximeter (O2 drops from 98-99 to 95-97) which infects people with the idea that masks cause mild and measurable cognitive decline (they do) – test yourself
The easiest way for me (retired scientist) to convince people that masks cause mild cognitive decline (I call it "bidening") is to get people to simply duplicate my experiments. It will cost under $50. Oximeter is about $40, then get a bandana and several types of masks.
The oximeter scale is not simple linear 0-99 – it's scrunched at the top. 93 is trouble, upper 80s is hospital time.
The scale is 99 (normal alert), 98 (calm), 97 (sleepy, yawning), 96 (groggy), 95 (nodding off). Below that are regions bordering on apnea. Masks drop you 1-2.
If you breathe hard through a mask (hyperventilate) you can keep blood O2 at 99, but you can't function and remember to breathe hard, plus hyperventilating causes CO2 to get weird and you will slow down even if you don't want to. Ironically, COVID messes up O2/CO2 balance, too.
Young & healthy people are more adept at maintaining "decent" (not optimal) cognition with a mask, by breathing hard regularly to keep in the 99-98 region. Exercise and work forces hard breathing, making masks less problematic. Masks are more insidious during periods of calm.
An excellent experiment is to make a LOG of your O2 and heart bpm readings when you go to the store and wear a mask, recording as often as possible: exact time, O2, bpm, how you feel and what you're thinking, how you're breathing, etc. Borderline O2 values get called 97.5, etc.
Bpm values wander, just pick a consistent method of calling them. Be objective – strong standards – avoid bias. Note your breathing, and remember that the busier you are recording, the less likely you'll try to influence the data by "choosing" to breath consciously, vs. sub.
Also remember that your BRAIN oxygen LAGS your blood oxygen, AND your brain oxygen will accumulate deficits, and THAT is where masks worn "faithfully" are really, really bad. The ChiComs and Dems really hosed our kids with these damn things – the BRAIN O2 deficits build up.
As you begin wearing your mask and journaling – objectively reporting in grand detail what happens to you and how you feel, there will be "known indicators" that you will consciously recognize as you go along. Those are very helpful, and your recording them as you go is great!
You will begin to see that you forget the more complex details of your own rules – then you will see yourself forgetting more and more basic things. This will surprise you. KEEP THE EXPERIMENT GOING. Soon, you will forget what you were doing. You will repeat things wrongly.
The best proofs of cognitive decline are the mistakes that you don't catch until later. When you go back and look at the data, you will see when you were literally "bidening".
Keep up the experiment for at least a half hour of mask wear, up to an hour. That will be plenty.
When you remove your mask, keep up the journaling for at least half an hour. You aren't optimally safe to drive for 30 minutes after wearing a mask. I can tell you that I compared driving right after mask removal to waiting a half hour, and the latter showed FAR better driving.
You can wait for Fauci to pimp some double-blind mask study (expect #MaskGate, too!), or you can just do the experiment for under $50 and learn the truth yourself. You can BORROW somebody's oximeter. No matter what, I recommend playing with the device for a week or two first.
I've done experiments with various masks, and I'm absolutely convinced that they shave 1-2 points off blood oxygen, and even more off BRAIN CHEMISTRY, which would likely show up as double digits on an SAT, LSAT, MCAT or GRE test. Masks on kids? RIDICULOUS.
After #LancetGate, and the #LancetGateEffect (which is the extra deaths clearly visible from the fraudulent paper), nobody is going to tell me that science done by average people is any less trustworthy than "professional" science, since now I've done both myself.
Again, the key to doing this experiment is to create an overly elaborate method of recording data that includes very particular ways of spacing, punctuation, grammar, allowed terms, allowed notations, etc. Maybe a list of things to check yourself on, and an order to do it in. Practice it a few times without the mask to validate that you can do it, but right before you put on your mask. Keep these rules IN MEMORY – essentially IN RAM – and particularly your SHORT-TERM MEMORY. Thus, I suggest NOT writing any of these rules down. Force your brain to WORK.
It’s a lot like taking an SAT test, isn’t it? EXACTLY MY POINT. You are forced by both test rules and TIME to keep stuff in memory. We are creating fresh memories, and then watching masks DEGRADE THEM.
You will see FOR YOURSELF that masks degrade your short-term memory, and keep it degraded for a surprisingly long time.
Conclusions
Let me give you some of the “conclusions”.
The most important thing I found is that masks make people FORGETFUL. Not just me – I am now able to spot “mask head” in other people. It’s FREAKY. It’s like being in a science fiction movie and spotting the puppetmaster on people’s BACKS. Or is it a FACEHUGGER?
“Sorry – I asked you that already, didn’t I?”
“Yes! That’s the mask, actually! Masks make you forget stuff.”
One of the very first times I wore a mask in a store, I found myself getting more and more forgetful, going down my list of items. Near the end, I felt like reality was becoming a bit “dreamy”, so I figured I needed to GET OUT AND GET SOME AIR. I then FORGOT the last item – the one that my wife had specifically asked me to get.
Interestingly, that time I not only caught myself SPEEDING on the way home – in a place that I pride myself on NOT speeding – I later FORGOT LOADING THE GROCERIES INTO THE CAR. I had no memories of it. It was FREAKY. I had MISSING TIME. I felt real worry that I had left the groceries in the cart at the store. I had one of those “OMG” moments. I had to search my mind to realize that I had both forgotten to load the groceries into the car, but also I had also just put them away at home.
It was ILLOGICAL, but those were my memories. Of course, MKULTRA works similarly, but let’s not go there now. Maybe another time.
MISSING TIME FROM MASKS. And the effect is beautifully consistent with logic. It takes time – it’s cumulative – it has a latency, and it wears off. It took over half an hour for the effect to build up to where it was making me forget things significantly, and it took about half an hour for the effect to fully wear off.
It’s the mask. It is simply the mask.
Now – not all masks are the same. For me, the bandana is the worst. My numbers go down quickly to 96 or 97, and don’t get back up easily. Rapid breathing doesn’t raise my O2 as quickly as with either a “regular real mask” or my “cheater fashion mask”.
Obviously, I rarely use my bandana any more, except for experiments.
My regular store masks – the normal ones everybody wears – are better, but I still get hypoxia, followed by strong, measurable cognitive deficits with them. However, when I am wearing a mask in a place where I absolutely want to avoid any drama, and my time will be short, I stick to these masks that “blend in” with the crowd.
My “fashion mask” barely covers my chin. Hard breaths get strong oxygen immediately, relieving the hypoxia. That is what I wear when I don’t need to impress any Mask Karens or Mask Nazis.
Another thing is this. Yes, the oximeter scale is “scrunched up” to where meaningful stuff for normies wearing masks is roughly four numbers – 96, 97, 98, 99 – and if you interpret the oximeter waffling between these numbers as 96.5, 97.5, and 98.5, then you basically have 7 numbers you’re likely to see. It’s surprising how much you can prove with just those 7 numbers, but there is a reason for that, too – the COGNITIVE SCALE is also scrunched up near the top.
That is a POWERFUL realization, and NOT KNOWING IT is how the NPR lie works.
NPR has a pro-mask television ad with a soy boy, trying to convince you that “masks make sense” and “masks are smart”. It has a very cunning “proof” that hypoxia is not a problem – the soy boy says they’re not a problem, while showing a doctor in a gown and goggles and a mask showing you an oximeter on “99”, and then the doctor shrugs.
That is PURE PROPAGANDA. It’s not science. What YOU are doing is science, and what you are going to confirm is COMMON SENSE.
SO – that is why I am using the VERY FINE-GRAINED TEST of journaling with lots of little rules that you make up before, about how you are going to record and format your observations. With a small window of numbers that go from nodding off to alert, and a mind that – IRONICALLY – is going soft right when you should be making critical observations about your mind going soft, then it is the SET OF DETAILED PICAYUNE RULES for recording your observations that serves as the fine-grained test of cognitive ability – in addition to how you subjectively feel.
Self- analyzing your performance – being as hard on yourself as you are mentally able to do – will reveal your cognitive decline from masking.
So what’s next?
Well, some of us should not be wearing masks AT ALL. And yet, in my nearest “deep blue zone”, the TDS mayor actually EXCEEDS the regional mask mandate, by not allowing people to NOT wear a mask. You MUST wear a “face covering” into government buildings.
My recommendation in such cases is to wear a plastic face shield, as loosely as possible.
But that is not all. We need to work very hard to UNMASK, and to get around this unhealthy BS which has been foisted on us and our children in the name of health.
So let’s turn to MASK REBELLION.
How To Rebel Against Masks
Help unset the precedent. Violate idiot mask protocols as much as possible up to the point of legal non-compliance.
Masks induce mild cognitive deficits that last after you demask and harm your driving ability. It's damn near a DUTY to begin rebelling against mask nonsense.
People tend to be either “all in” on masks, or “all in” on mask rebellion.
What I advocate is SMART REBELLION. And part of smart rebellion against masks is for us to do back to the commies what they did to us – but OPENLY, PROUDLY, and LOGICALLY.
We need to SUBVERT masks, and encourage others who wish to join us, to join us.
substitute “social distancing” whenever allowed to do so (typically outside stores)
take “cheater breaths” around the mask whenever you feel like breathing harder
pull the mask away when you talk, so that you can be understood
wear the thinnest and least hypoxia-inducing mask you can find
point out “mask head” to forgetful people in a nice, concerned way
use a face shield instead and tell people why
use opportunities to tell people about mask hypoxia
show people your oximeter and explain how it shows mask hypoxia
use the oximeter in public and show people the truth
make your BREATHING FREELY in public very obvious and SMILE BIGLY
Another successful day of shopping without a mask…
I will be getting a face shield shortly, and I will likewise do an oximeter experiment with it. Yeah, it will look stupid as hell, but hopefully somebody will ask.

From the time that Joshua died until Saul took the throne of Israel, the Hebrew government was not a monarchy like most surrounding nations. Theologians refer to it as a theocracy—”God-rule.” The Lord ruled over Israel, issuing His decrees and governing through prophets and priests. Each major region looked to a judge for what most other cultures would expect from a king. He (occasionally, she) led the people in battle, decided civil cases, and enforced God’s laws.
Samuel judged all Israel with God reigning as king over the Hebrew people. In this way, the Israelites were like no other nation on earth in that they could claim God as their leader, the invisible Creator, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the Almighty One who crushed Egypt, parted the Red Sea, and conquered Canaan. But, much in the same way that the wandering generation tired of manna, the people grew tired of the theocracy. Three factors drove their desire for a king.
First, Samuel was old and no longer able to keep pace with the demands of the nation. Second, his sons had disqualified themselves by losing the respect of the people. And third, “we want to be like all the nations.”
This was a pivotal moment in the life of Israel. Take special note of the Lord’s assessment of their decision. “They have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them [8:7].”
In effect, the Lord said, “You are determined to go down this path—one that will certainly cause you sorrow—and I will not stop you. You have rejected My way for your own. Therefore, you will lie in the bed you have made.”

“If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit. At this time Israel was under the Law, and God was clear through Moses, Prophets, Priests, Kings, and His written Word, what He wanted Israel to do, the rewards of obedience, and the consequences of disobedience.
We are under God’s Grace now, but He is no less clear that we are to obey Him, and the benefits of that obedience, and the consequences of disobedience.
And this is His [God’s] commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He has commanded.
Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son. And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life . . .
And the two greatest commandments . . . Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind. Love your neighbor as yourself.
And a top level list of the character traits God wants Christians to have . . . . . . the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
And yet, these days, wherever we look, we see Leftists in their roles of disrupters, looters, attackers, arsonists and anarchists, aided and abetted by corrupt Leftist Mayors, Governors, District Attorneys, Judges, Representatives and Senators exhibiting, on a daily basis, none of the desired character traits. By their fruit you will know them.
And, since the consequences of those Leftist’s actions have a large possibility of greatly negatively affecting our lives, we tend to spend a significant amount of time involved in those matters, either actively or passively.
As difficult as it might be, as this episode of life unfolds, let’s be sure we keep our main focus and hopes for the future firmly focused on things above, for “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” and “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

A Cautionary Tale, in Lieu of the Mandatory Coin
Now it wouldn’t be one of my posts without a coin, would it?
Well, I guess this must not be one of my posts, then, because this is not a coin.
This is the climax of the worst inflation the world has ever seen.
Lately, Zimbabwe has been famous for its One Hundred Trillion Dollar notes, that were never worth anything in foreign exchange (yet are worth a score or two of US dollars in the collector’s market). I once got to see a display of something like twelve different denominations in the series, the uppermost were 10, 20, 50, and 100 trillion dollar notes.
Inflation is not an increase in prices. That’s a symptom. It’s an increase in the money supply. If the increase happens to be faster than actual economic growth, then money becomes less valuable (a widget is now worth more units of money), which since we think of money as the measuring rod, looks like an increase in prices, when the real issue is that our “ruler” is shrinking.
OK, so I showed you a Hungarian note from just after World War II, and said it was worse than 100 trillion (Zimbabwe used toilet paper) dollars.
The note says it’s a “milliard b-pengős.” Well if you don’t happen to know a few things I am about to explain, you might imagine, well, “milliard” is just a foreign word for “million” and a B pengő is maybe a different pengő from an A pengő. So how is a million of something worse than a hundred trillion of something else?
Because it isn’t, actually, a million of something.
Most people are unaware that there are two distinct ways of reckoning large numbers. There’s the “short scale” and the “long scale.” In the United States, we use the short scale. On continental Europe and all of their former colonies (except Brazil), they use the long scale. The United Kingdom formerly used the long scale, but they were increasingly using the short scale in speech (thanks to Yankee cultural influence, most likely) and in 1974 their government finally gave in and formally adopted the short scale.
The short scale and the long scale both have the same definition of a thousand, 1,000, and a million, 1,000,000. The short scale goes on: 1,000,000,000 is a billion, 1,000,000,000,000 is a trillion. Add three zeros, move up one more Latin prefix before “-llion”: quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, and so on. If someone tells you the Earth’s mass is 13 septillion pounds, and you’re wondering how many zeros that is, translate “septi” into 7, add one to it (8) and multiply by 3, to get 24 zeros. 13,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
But you’d better be sure they’re operating on the short scale, because the long scale is quite different. On the long scale, 1,000,000 is a million also, but then 1,000,000,000 is called either a thousand million or a milliard. Only after you add another three zeros, 1,000,000,000,000, do you bring out the word “billion.” Add three more zeros, 1,000,000,000,000,000 and you have, believe it or not, a billiard. Then a trillion, then a trilliard, and so on. In a way, you can think of it as using groups of six zeros, not three zeros. How many zeros in a trillion (long scale)? Turn “tri” into 3, multiply by six, done: 18 zeros. So an old-school Brit might claim the Earth’s mass is 13 quadrillion pounds, which after all is 6 x 4 = 24 zeros. (In many ways, this is cleaner and makes more sense than our short scale, but the short system is what we’ve got, and I’ll use it.)
Anyhow, you probably already see part of the answer to the mystery of the 1 milliard B-pengő note, I telegraphed it pretty strongly. It’s not a million, it’s a billion, which they called a milliard, B-pengős. Milliard isn’t just some weird Hungarian word for million. (Leaving aside the issue of whether any Hungarian word will ever seem normal to a speaker of any Indo-European language, and vice versa.)
And looking around a bit, you will see that Germany issued milliarden mark notes during its inflation in the 1920s, those too are nine zeros, what we call a billion. Germany is on the European continent and uses the long scale. (Apparently Russia uses the short scale. And so does Zimbabwe.)
If you ever listened to the G. Gordon Liddy show, he regularly used “thousand million” for nine zeros (short billion), and “million million” for twelve zeros (short trillion, long billion). That is unambiguous, no matter which system you’re used to, and it can also be clear to the innumerate who think a billion is “what, maybe two million?” (No, I’m not kidding.)
OK, getting back to that Hungarian note: You may be thinking, “ok so it was a billion b. pengős; that’s nine zeros, still a lot less than a hundred trillion, which is fourteen zeros!”
But the B, it turns out, stands for “billion.” A B pengő is not some new improved A pengő, it’s a billion pengős. Their billion, with twelve zeros, not our puny little nine-zero billion.
So a milliard B pengős was 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 pengős. Twenty one zeros.
Now there are places that have inflated their money just about as much. Yugoslavia devalued its currency multiple times between World War II and the late 80s, if you stack that up, and look at the 500 billion (our billion) notes at the end, yeah, they were up to twenty five or twenty six zeros of their original dinar. But that took decades.
Hungary went from three to 21 zeros in just over a year, and that’s just their paper money. As we’ll see below, the exchange rate against the dollar tacked on 28 zeros in almost exactly a year. This utterly annihilates what Germany went through in the 1920s, and we’ve all heard those stories, wheelbarrows full of money, people being paid at noon and the end of the workday so they could immediately spend their pay before it became worthless.
Pengő derives from peng, an onomatopoeic word for the sound of ringing, as in the sound silver coins make. The pengő was adopted in 1927 as the Hungarian currency, it consisted of 100 fillér, and replaced the…um…korona (crown). But it wasn’t until after World War II ended that the pengő jumped into the toilet, reached out of the bowl, and pulled down on the handle.
In order to cut down on zeros, the milpengő was introduced. This allowed them to use the same paper money designs again, then the b. pengő after the milpengő became as valueless as the pengő was when the milpengő had been introduced. Note the the paper money above has a colored background with a B cut out of it, and pengő is replaced by B. pengő.
Here are the regular milliard, and milliard milpengő notes to compare.

Notice that they are essentially the same, they just had to change the text in the middle. And of course running it off in a different color is as simple as changing the ink on the press. They didn’t even have to change the value in the “counter” on the left.
(Did you ever wonder why they always put the numbers inside fancy spirograph-like patterns on paper money, known as counters? It’s to make it harder for some unscrupulous schmuck to change the number. He can’t just scrape a one off and put a five in its place without leaving obvious holes in the pattern. (The ink on paper money rests on the surface of the paper and can be scraped off, anything left over can be bleached.) This was quite an issue in the early 1800s when banks issued their own notes and the designs rarely were standardized. Some guy in Gasoline Alley, Michigan might not know that the ten dollar bill from the First Bank of Outer Slobbovia, Delaware, was really a one dollar bill “raised” to a ten by a counterfeiter, because in Gasoline Alley, no one knew what Outer Slobbovia bank notes were supposed to look like. This lesson [put your denominations in counters] was learned the hard way in the early 1800s. And later, banknotes became standardized so they all had the same design with different lettering, and under strict government oversight.)
Anyhow, note that both the milliard milpengő and the milliard b-pengő were issued–or at the very least, authorized legally–in June of 1946, on the same day, the third. Two notes, one worth a million of the other, issued the same day! The implication is that they already expected that money would drop in value by a factor of a million in short order. Can you imagine that hundred dollar bill in your wallet on June 1 being worth 1/100th of a cent at the end of the month? Or imagine a “strap” (banker’s bundle) of one hundred, one hundred dollar bills on June 1st not being worth picking up off the ground at the end of the month, because it’s only worth what a Lincoln head cent was on the first of the month.
Of course we can’t really know from this issue date alone that it took a month to drop to a millionth of its prior value.
Maybe it was even faster.
Taking a look at the exchange rates allows us to fill things in. On the first of January 1927, when the pengő was introduced, the US dollar was worth 5.26 pengős. On the 31st of March, 1941, it was 5.06 pengős (the pengő had gone up, unsurprising because the dollar had been devalued by Roosevelt when he confiscated the gold). By the 30th of June, 1944 it was 33.51 to the dollar. Not too bad for an Axis country losing the war. At the end of August, 1945, it had slipped to 1320. So in a bit over a year, it had become worth about 1/40th what it was worth the year before. Bad for anyone who had pengős stuffed in his mattress because he didn’t trust banks, but people could adapt to this if they had to.
But Hungary was allied with Germany, and had lost the war. The Soviets demanded huge reparations, and were plundering Hungarian industry. (Communists rarely produce anything; they subsist by looting others. See any downtown Democrat-run city for evidence that this continues to be true today.) The US actually had custody of Hungary’s gold reserves; the puppet communist government the Soviets were setting up couldn’t use that.
Three months later at the end of November, however, it took 108,000 pengős to buy a dollar. Yowza, almost a hundred fold loss in three months. But you ain’t seen nothin’ yet. And that’s what the pengő was now worth: nothing! By the end of March, 1946, 1,750,000 pengös to the dollar. One month later–one month later— it was 59 billion pengős to the dollar, 59 followed by nine zeros. A month after that it was 42 quadrillion pengős, 42 followed by fifteen zeros. (And yes these are all short scale, “Murrican” numbers.)
The next datapoint on Wikipoo is 10 July 1946. 460 octillion pengős to the dollar. That’s 27 zeros after the 460, or 28 after the 46. In forty days, May 30 to July 10, not a million, but more than a ten trillionfold (thirteen zero) loss in value had occurred, from 15 zeros after a 42, to 28 zeros after a 46. That’s equivalent to a dollar becoming worth a dime in three days, and then the cycle repeating itself twelve more times. A millionfold loss in a month? Ha, ha, ha! What an unicorn-fart-sniffing optimist I was!
That note I started this off with had 21 zeros built into it. It would have taken 460 million of these notes to equal one dollar. But there weren’t 460 million of them. Hungary, after all, doesn’t have all that many people in it, so why produce so many notes of one denomination?
It turns out these notes were produced but never issued–the 100 million b. pengő, one tenth the nominal value, was the highest note actually issued. I suspect by the time they were made they had already been overcome by events and become worthless, so why bother?
At the very end, every single paper pengő in existence, put together, was worth less than a tenth of a US cent. Now all of the pengős put together had become…nothing.
The pengő was replaced by the forint (also of 100 filler) on August 1st 1946. One forint was worth 400 octillion pengős. But that is a fictitious exchange rate since every pengő in circulation put together was worth one thousandth of a forint. No one was going to buy so much as a single forint with pengős. I remember seeing pictures of littered streets in Budapest…the gutters strewn with what had once been money. I looked just now and found this:

But the forint, at least was comparable to a dollar (460 octillion pengős).
The government had learned its lesson and the forint was relatively stable. In 1992 eighty forints were roughly worth a dollar. Which is not as good as it sounds, because the dollar had itself inflated quite a bit since 1946, but still a far, far cry from what happened in 1946.
There was just one more problem left for Hungary. They had used up so much good quality security paper printing pengős that they had trouble finding any to make the new forint. But this problem could be solved.
Zimbabwe was so badly off when it ran out of paper, it had to stop printing money. No one would sell them any more. And just like that the Zimbabwean inflation stopped.
Could this happen here?
Yes. If we don’t get government spending under control, something will break. Either we default on our debt or we print money to cover it, or our government really tightens its belt.
I suspect I will live long enough to hear people talking about quadrillion dollar federal debts, deficits and budgets. We’ve gone from a trillion dollar debt to almost 27 trillion in about 40 years, that’s a 27 fold increase and one more of those puts us at 729 trillion bucks, almost a quadrillion. Bush and Obola both doubled the debt. Trump will likely do the same (sorry, but that’s the truth, and yes, it is partially his fault), making it eight times as large as it was just 24 years ago. One projection says 78 trillion in 2028. Sigh.
All debts are paid. Either by the person who owes the money…or by the person who lent it. Or if the government cranks up the printing presses someday, it will be paid by third parties who have no choice in the matter. Inflation is theft.
Maybe it wouldn’t be 1946-Hungary-bad if our government took the inflation route…but it would be bad. I heard the stories of suffering in Russia during its much-less-severe inflation after the Soviet Union collapsed; many many people were on a fixed income. Hmm, $5000 a month won’t sound so hot when every dollar in existence put together won’t buy you a dust bunny.
I don’t know much about this alleged monetary shift some people talk about being imminent, but I hope it’s nothing like this, because, folks:
We don’t want this.

Remember that gold was once $20.67 by definition, and look at today’s price, and see what has happened to the dollar…it’s worth barely a 1913 cent. In fact gold actually hit $2067.20 one day not too long ago. Inflation walks among us, mostly unnoticed, but piling up as time goes on.
Another PS: You might wonder what the Hungarians used if they never issued the milliard b pengő note, and clearly they’d need huge denominations, T pengős, Q pengős, and so on. Well they had created an adópengő, literally “tax pengő” for budget planning purposes, but it became a real piece of money in July, worth 2 of those bills I started with apiece. It was supposed to hold its value. It didn’t but it fell much less rapidly than the regular pengő. When the 100 million b. pengő note became worthless, the adópengő took over…for the rest of the month.

In which the social justice “hoax retelling” of the Matthew Shepard gay/drug acquaintance murder fits into an even bigger social justice artistic story-born movement looking for a political event to boost it.

I did not expect to write this article. But after being sucked into a rabbithole of research, I simply had to do it.
I do not, unfortunately, have an exact answer to my original question:
What was the relationship of the Matthew Shepard murder to the movie Brokeback Mountain?
As you will see, the relationship is very strong. But just like the truth of the Shepard murder itself was originally hidden underneath calculated social justice hoaxing, so too the history of the related / unrelated movie which followed is obscured by the larger, softer, “DVD extra”, PBS “stay tuned” feature, more diffuse, more professional, and easier almost-truths of the New-York-to-Hollywood-by-way-of-Flyover-and-Writeover-Country-and-Western “artistic axis”.
There is no smoking gun. But there is smoke everywhere. One might say it’s the way that “wishful conspiracies” work.

I knew there was some question about the Matthew Shepard murder, and that it was “also drug-related”, but I did not know just how much of a euphemism “it might have a drug angle” was.
In honor of Gay Pride month, have a red pill about Matthew Shepard.
Matthew Shepard’s murder is a vintage case of fake news. The truth is that he was a drug dealer who was murdered by people who were trying to steal his large supply of crystal meth. Of course, the fake news media blew this up as the “gay hate crime of the century,” the Democrats tried for years to use it as an excuse to push hate crime legislation, and Americans were scolded about it for years for being “big bad violent homophobes.” Even though America is probably the safest country in the world for the LGBT community, you wouldn’t know it from the way they continue to point to Matthew Shepard as proof of persecution (they can’t bring up Pulse nightclub because that would involve blaming Muslims).
So there you go. Next time someone starts whinging to you about Matthew Shepard, kindly point out the real circumstances behind his murder.

When I read the Guardian article after Sadie’s FIRST comment, I figured that the story of Matthew Shepard (who was murdered in October of 1998) was likely the starter idea from which BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN (2005) was generated.
Actually this is WRONG – it’s the REVERSE – but I didn’t know it until I dug into the chronology.
Reality:
The Matthew Shepard hoax story LOOKS like the origin of the movie Brokeback Mountain in “normie political news-viewer world”. It appears like the murder “brought to light” the “gay cowboy phenomenon” which had always been there – we just didn’t know about it. Granted, there ARE gays in the redneck and cowboy worlds, but it’s not nearly as big a deal as the leftist fake news wants it to be. The TRUTH is that in liberal artistic world, the Matthew Shepard murder was a VICTIM-SYMPATHY BOOSTER (just barely) for a liberal-beloved fictional story INTO a movie.
Stated another way, a DRUG REALITY was re-told into conformance with a PRE-EXISTING BUT RELATIVELY UNKNOWN LIBERAL FICTION, which not only yielded POLITICAL ACTION, but TIPPED THE BALANCE for ARTISTIC LEVELING-UP.
The reality is not nice. A BOTTOM GAY GUY was killed by two TOP GAY GUYS in the very dangerous “meth + gay sex” world. Death is a common problem in that world – see Ed Buck. The difference here is that literature-savvy gay activists were among the first to react, possibly as “witness distancing”, and quickly turned a “bad for gays” drug story into an anti-gay “hate crime”, and the fake news media lapped it up like mother’s milk.

I believe that for both Clinton and Obama, the SECOND TERM was designed to be the one where radical propaganda events would be undertaken. So the media minons and leftist pols were HOT TO TROT for “progress”, and this story, bogus as it was, was simply unstoppable.

I don’t think Matthew Shepard was killed to make a movie, but I think he WAS killed for drugs, and then fit to a “nicer for gays” story that people ALREADY wanted to believe. The fact that his re-told death meant MONEY for the Democrat-media-entertainment-arts-propaganda complex only insured that the re-telling would STICK.
Conspiracy theories involving individuals are often wrong, but they are useful, in that they provide a skeletal road-map to a larger reality of social conspiracies. And those conspiracies ARE promoted by people with long and patient plans.
Although it may look like Matthew Shepard was conveniently murdered for leftist propaganda, IMO it’s more likely that his murder for drugs – knowledge of the abuse likely touching his “witness friends” – was conveniently RE-PURPOSED to fit a desired narrative, and KILL the real one, of gays, sex and methamphetamine.
