Dear KMAG: 20230220 Joe Biden Didn’t Win ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden didn’t win. This is our Real President:

AND our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And yes, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!!!

Possibly with some minor philosophical discussions…..

Possibly with some good times…..

And possibly with some screaming!

WHEATIE – OUR WARRIOR ANGEL

by Duchess01

Please forgive us, Wheatie, we did not know
That you had left us with armor in tow
We had no idea with what you dealt
We did not know the pain you felt
And now we can only imagine
With you what really did happen
Cause rarely did you complain
And/or share your personal pain
Of one thing we are most certain
You are flying high behind the curtain
Watching over us above the crowds
Our Warrior Angel above the clouds
Thank You, Wheatie, for caring for us
While you were here among the fuss
We miss you dear you have no idea
Since time began in the pangaea
With you there was no time
In your wisdom you would chime
To clarify and magnify
The what where how and why
We did not question when you left
We were not slightly bereft
But over time we wondered why
You did not at least stop by
Now we know where you have gone
With the break of this new dawn
We could be angry but are not
Tho with an arrow we’ve been shot
Rest peacefully Warrior Angel dear
Send us a sign that you are near
A butterfly a flower a kiss of rain
From your love do not refrain
God sends Angels to watch over us
And now we have an Angel Plus
A Warrior Angel of Magnificence
From today and forward hence

The Rules

TL;DR –

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Boilerplate, more or less, but worth reading again and again, if only for the minor changes, and to stay out of moderation.

MINOR CHANGE NUMBER 1

Never talk about committing violence in a reply to Wolf or in response to anything Wolf has said, or you may get put into moderation so that your comments can be screened. This is ONLY because DHS is now playing door-knock Gestapo with people who have spoken at school board meetings, made public comments, etc. DHS regime jackboots are knocking on doors of school board mama bears and stupidly insinuating potential violence from things people say or don’t say on social media. A guy in Ohio pointed his FINGER at the school board, and they went after him, armed with pictures of the pointing, and screen captures of online comments. Yeah.

SO – give the Nazis ZERO ammo. Keep any mention of violence, even joking, away from Wolf, so that he doesn’t have to “explain” humor to humorless jackboots who pretend not to know things.

As for discussion of “violent humor” among yourselves (e.g., “#TeamHeadsOnPikes”), just use whatever discretion you think is appropriate for yourselves. I will only put you in moderation if your comments create problems for ME or THIS SITE, but not if they only impact you.

YOU are responsible for your own comments, if they come knocking. YOUR choice. Just remember this…..

OTHER THAN THAT…….

The bottom line is Free Speech. Theories and ideas you don’t agree with must be WELCOME here, and you must be part of that welcoming. But you do NOT need to be part of any agreement.

Bottom line – respect other people’s FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS.

Our only additional requirement is that you do so NICELY. Or at least try to make some effort in that direction.

SO….. [ENGAGE BOILERPLATE…..]

We must endeavor to persevere to love our frenemies – even here.

Those who cannot deal with this easy requirement will be forced to jump the hoops of moderation, so that specific comments impugning other posters and violating the minimal rules can be sorted out and tossed in the trash.

In Wheatie’s words, “We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

That includes the life skill of just ignoring certain other posters.

We do have a site – The U Tree – where civility is not a requirement. Interestingly, people don’t really go there much. Nevertheless, if you find yourself in an “argument” that can’t really stay civil, please feel free to “take it to the U Tree”. The U Tree is also a good place to report any technical difficulties, if you’re unable to report them here. Please post your comment there on one of Wolf’s posts, or in reply to one of Wolf’s comments, to make sure he sees it (though it may take a few hours).

We also have a backup site, called The Q Tree as well, which is really The Q Tree 579486807. You might call it “Second Tree”. The URL for that site is https://theqtree579486807.wordpress.com/. If this site (theqtree.com) ever goes down, please reassemble at the Second Tree.

If the Second Tree goes down, please go to The U Tree, or to our Gab Group, which is located at https://gab.com/groups/4178.

We also have some “old rules” and important guidelines, outlined here, in a very early post, on our first New Year’s Day, in 2019. The main point is not to make violent threats against people, which then have to be taken seriously by law enforcement, and which can be used as a PRETEXT by enemies of this site.

In the words of Wheatie, “Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

A Moment of Prayer

Our policy on extreme religious freedom on this site is discussed HERE. Please feel free to pray and praise God anytime and anywhere.

Thus, please pray for our real President, the one who actually won the election.

You may also pray for our nation, our world, and even our enemies.

Musical Interlude

In honor of dear Wheatie, we now present some music to soothe, inspire, invigorate, or relax.

Bringing back some more old tunes from two years ago!

Original Wheatie Post:

This is a great one right here – beautiful electronica.

And one of my favorites…..

AHRRRRR, MATEY!

OK – one more LINUX MUSICAL MEME VIDEO for the road!

Call To Battle

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

Wolfie’s Wheatie’s Word of the Day Year Week:

binary

adjective

  • Characterized by or consisting of two parts or components; twofold.
  • Of or relating to a system of numeration having 2 as its base.
  • Of or relating to a system of encoding data using only 0’s and 1’s.

Perl 5 Definition:

Having to do with numbers represented in base 2. That means there’s basically two numbers: 0 and 1. Also used to describe a file of “nontext”, presumably because such a file makes full use of all the binary bits in its bytes. With the advent of Unicode, this distinction, already suspect, loses even more of its meaning. https://perldoc.perl.org/perlglossary#binary

Woke Definition:

[Gender] Binary – This is the idea that people are born either male or female, with no other ways to identify – a viewpoint that excludes non-binary and transgender people. How can you dismantle this? Add your preferred pronouns to your email signature. That way, you’re helping to normalise gender discussions while signalling that you aren’t making assumptions about how other people identify. Which could potentially be seen as a sort of clicktivism, but we won’t go into that here.

… as in the top of his head?

TheseTruths

He’s a number of years late for this realization.

Gail Combs

He got such backlash from his dissing POTUS Trump, he is now backpedaling. It is ALL ABOUT CLICKS aka Money

kalbokalbs

When Schlichter links show, I scroll on.

Schlichter is, clicks, money AND full of shit. Latter, THE problem.

RDS

IMO, Mr. Schlichter is full of “schlick”, “schtick”, and “schit.”

scott467

That’s why he’s a clueless bubble-boy.

He would never have even thought to oppose Trump if he was not existing in a bubble of never-Trump garbage in the first place.

To be that far out of touch with his own audience is to disqualify himself as relevant.

pgroup2

In his defense, he does live in Southern California. So there’s that.

Aubergine

I love words. They mean things.

The original meaning of “nice:”

nice (adj.)late 13c., “foolish, ignorant, frivolous, senseless,” from Old French nice (12c.) “careless, clumsy; weak; poor, needy; simple, stupid, silly, foolish,” from Latin nescius “ignorant, unaware,” literally “not-knowing,” from ne- “not” (from PIE root *ne- “not”) + stem of scire “to know” (see science). “The sense development has been extraordinary, even for an adj.” [Weekley] — from “timid, faint-hearted” (pre-1300); to “fussy, fastidious” (late 14c.); to “dainty, delicate” (c. 1400); to “precise, careful” (1500s, preserved in such terms as a nice distinction and nice and early); to “agreeable, delightful” (1769); to “kind, thoughtful” (1830).

The original meaning of “mean:”

mean (adj.1)

Meaning “of common or low origin, inferior in rank or status” (of persons) is attested from early 14c. Sense of “ordinary, inferior in attainment or skill” is from late 14c. Also from late 14c. as “poor in quality, of little value,” though this sense survived longer in American than in England. James Stirling, in “Letters from the Slave States” [London, 1857], mentioning mean whites (poor whites in the South who do manual labor and are looked down on by the slaves) notes, ” ‘Mean’ is an Americanism for ‘poor,’ ‘shabby.’ They speak here of a ‘mean’ hotel, a ‘mean’ dinner, &c.”

The pejorative sense of “without dignity of mind, destitute of honor, low-minded” is from 1660s; the specific sense of “stingy, niggardly” is recorded by 1755; the weaker sense of “disobliging, pettily offensive” is from 1839, originally American English slang. All these developments of the English word were furthered by its coincidence in form with mean (adj.2) “middle, middling,” which also was used in disparaging senses, and OED notes that some usages of mean it cites “might be referred almost equally to the native and to the foreign adj.; the truth is probably that they are of mixed ancestry.”

Aubergine

Lol!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“Silly” has gone through changes, too…in the opposite direction.

Aubergine

Wow, yeah it has!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

More seriously, the textualist and original intent schools of constitutional law have to account for the fact that the “plain reading” of the constitution today might not be the same as it was when written–due to semantic shifts like these. The problem isn’t as extreme for late 18th century English as for 13th, but it is there. (e.g., “well regulated” doesn’t mean OSHA is involved.)

Aubergine

Absolutely! This also applies to the Bible. Words meant different things back in those days, and can lead to misinterpretations of all kinds of things.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Oh, and “homely” (used to describe a woman’s looks)…didn’t used to be an awful thing.

Aubergine

Home being the safest, best, and warmest place one could be, that makes all kinds of sense.

The binary video is very interesting 00100001

This is upper-case Q: 01010001

TheseTruths

“Nice,” thanks! The video presented the information very quickly, and I watched part of it several times to understand the concept. The chart is useful.

Valerie Curren

Looks like R Should be 101 0010 so the chart appears to have a typo 😉 since Z is listed as 101 1010 which is also what R is in the chart 🙂

Just a courtesy to the accident inspectors who have likely been picked before hand to make sure nothing leads back to preps actually responsible for this mayhem. And in between the fire and the inspectors you can likely figure a few select first responders tampering with what physical evidence there is to examine. We are after all in the Biden Decrepit Age where nothing be fully trusted.

From Bayou Renaissance Man, off of Gab —

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little gray hair he had left. Amazing, he thought as he flew down I-94, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a state trooper behind him, lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, What am I doing? I’m too old for this, and pulled over to await the trooper’s arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch, and said, “Sir, my shift ends in 30 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I’ve never heard before, I’ll let you go.”

The old gentleman paused. Then he said, “Years ago, my wife ran off with a state trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.”

“Have a good day, sir,” replied the trooper.

Again, decimal is the odd one out. Binary is one bit at a time — 10 is 2. Octal is three bits at a time — 10 is 8. Hexadecimal is four bits at a time — 10 is 16.

On UNIX-based systems, file permissions are “rwxrwxrwx” — the first three are for the system, the second for the file’s group, and the third are for users. Because each set of permissions has three parts — rwx — then it can be coded by three bits. Accordingly, the fast way to set file access rights is by using octal — 777 is “rwxrwxrwx”, 447 is “r–r–rwx”, and 466 is “r–rw-rw-“.

Valerie Curren

hmmm never having taken a computer class this is starting to get more confusing. I did diligently read your Linux tutorials a while back & Partially understood them (at the time) 🙂

cthulhu

I only brought it up because it uses octal. Just remember there is a reason to know it some day and avoid that day as long as possible.

Valerie Curren

LOL! avoidance is my middle name being a practiced procrastinator…some problems just end up solving themselves!

cthulhu

I should point out that modern systems will let you just specify “r–rw-rw-” and not use octal at all. It’s the old farts that still do it the other way.

Valerie Curren

what do the letters stand for?

cthulhu

Read, Write, and eXecute. It’s a very simple, but powerful, way to keep the right people able to access the right stuff.

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Any number to the 0 power is 1.

That follows from the way you can multiply powers together by adding exponents, and divide them by subtracting them.

e.g., what is 2^4 multiplied by 2^3? Write it out longhand: 2^4 is 2x2x2x2 and 2^3 is 2x2x2, so if you multiply them together that’s just 2x2x2x2 x 2x2x2 or 2^7. But you can just add the 4 and the 4 and get 7. If you divide those numbers instead of multiplying, it’s 2x2x2x2 / 2x2x2 but you can cancel, and get just plain 2 (i.e., 2^1). So to divide you subtract the exponents: 4-3 = 1.

[Let me point out this only works if the numbers are the same base, in this case they are and that base is 2.]

So what is 2^0? Well, it’s what you get if you divide (for instance) 2^4 by 2^4 (subtracting 4 from 4 gives you zero…according to the rule above). But that’s just 1. And if you think about it, it’s 1 no matter what the base is, so anything to the 1st power is 1.

Valerie Curren

I think I understood this so I appreciate the explanation. However your final statement “so anything to the 1st power is 1.” shouldn’t that Actually read that anything to the Zeroth power is one? TY Any number to the 1st power would just be that number itself, I believe 🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Yes…geez, I messed that one up didn’t I?

Yes, any number to the first power is itself.

There was an episode in the original Star Treck where the script writer had Spock give some number as “one to the twelfth power.” Which of course is 1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1x1 = 1. Kind of silly.

Valerie Curren

LOL sounds like something that would be easy to catch for you. We saw an early episode of ST where Spock’s uniform is beige & he’s Yelling every statement, at least on the bridge. His more sedate persona was much easier to watch!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Oh, yes. That was probably the pilot episode, “The Cage” or the one they made from it.

Interesting story there. Roddenberry produced a 90 minute pilot and showed it to NBC execs. They though it would be too cerebral, BUT they did something they never did before; they gave him a second chance. Come in with another pilot.

The first pilot had a totally different crew, except for Spock. Christopher Pike was the captain, the first officer was Number One (played by the producer’s wife, Majel Barret, who later played Nurse Chapel), and so on.

The second pilot was “Where No Man Has Gone Before” with the “regular” Enterprise crew, but a lot of the uniforms and so on were different from the regular series. Spock was, IIRC a “yeller” in both of those. They hadn’t really figured his character out yet. (The only one who didn’t develop quickly in the first few episodes was Kirk; Shatner had him nailed from the get-go.)

The first pilot, the Cage, was chopped up and they made a “wrapper” story, where it turns out The Cage happened 13 years ago, and now, Spock hijacks the Enterprise (and abducts Pike). When he is on trial he essentially shows “The Cage” as his defense.
That turned into the two part episode “The Menagerie.”

It’s possible now to purchase or watch “The Cage” in its original form; maybe 30 seconds of it didn’t get used in “The Menagerie.”

Valerie Curren

That’s fascinating. I thought that about Spock’s character development too.

This episode, didn’t catch the name, had a male & female character getting super powers & glowing silver eyes & I think she helps Kirk kill him at the end, perhaps at the cost of her own life–from memory since we were just passing by this time.

I recall the Christopher Pike character as captain AND as a shell of a man in a contraption w/ a light for “yes” or “no”–I think someone turned it into a Hillary meme. Doesn’t Pike & a severely deformed female choose to willingly live under the control of aliens who allow them to appear beautiful & fully functional (as Data would declare to the Borg Queen later when “Number One” would also be a standard moniker for Riker) in a cage disguised as paradise?

Speaking of Majel Barret, GR’s wife, I believe she was in that episode w/ the yelling Spock but I didn’t hear her name or rank. She also was Deanna’s mother Luwuxanna Troi, who was hilarious in having the perpetual hots for Picard, & the voice of the computer too–fun!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Then you saw “Where No Man Has Gone Before.” (the second, less “cerebral” pilot, the one the TV watchers saw).

Valerie Curren

OK TY 🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

Your last two paragraphs are indeed about “The Cage”/”Menagerie” which was the first pilot (and its recycling). “The Cage” was never broadcast as it originally was, not for many decades anyway.l

Valerie Curren

I’ve been meaning to eventually make my way through all of the original Star Trek series via a streaming service, like Netflix. I wonder if they would have The Cage in its original format or I would have to look in the library to find it–if I even remember, a Big If!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

The remastered blurays come with The Cage.

For a while there, the cut scenes were only available in black and white, so when you watched it the colors would fade gradually to make the transition less jarring. But then they did find color copies so that’s most likely what you’ll see if you do manage to find a copy.

If they show a hand-drawing of a Talosian on the computer screen, that’s one of the things they cut making The Cage into The Menagerie.

Valerie Curren

Thx for that tip! You are a fount of knowledge in So Many arenas!!!

I was wondering if one of those videos in DP’s Wednesday post, showing numerous gas grenades lobbed into the crowd on January 6th, was the one that hit near you. Weren’t you involved in attempting to revive or save someone injured &/or traumatized (like a heart attack) from such an assault? I don’t think I ever fully read those posts about Q-Treepers’ 1/6 experiences, but might have to do so if these major video releases produce tangible results! Sorry if these are too impertinent of questions so don’t feel the need to answer 🙂

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“Weren’t you involved in attempting to revive or save someone injured &/or traumatized (like a heart attack) from such an assault?” That was FG&C.

I saw one thumbnail that looked like it was near the stands for the inauguration. I was to the north of the stands, between the north wing and the steps.

Valerie Curren

Something to tell the kids & grandkids, &/or the nieces & nephews!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

No doubt he will tell them about it.

I took a fair amount of video, especially of the march to the Capitol; but I didn’t do anything “special” other than (possibly) draw a grenade to keep me from filming the moment they let the crowd in on my side.

Valerie Curren

That’s still unreal. So glad you, WM, & a few others were eye-witnesses to what went down!

SteveInCO · Thermonuclear MAGA

“Number One” I think Roddenberry must have hated losing that character. (Spock became the combined First Officer and Science officer.) Because he brought that nickname back for Riker (though at least Riker had a real name; the original Number One was simply, Number One).

Valerie Curren

Fascinating, with a Spockian eyebrow raised 😉

cthulhu

This is using binary arithmetic. Instead of places meaning 1000, 100, 10, 1, as in base 10, the places mean 8, 4, 2, 1.

To count in binary, you have

1 1
2 10
3 11
4 100
5 101
6 110
7 111
8 1000
9 1001
10 1010 … and so on.

If you work with computers a lot, you have to deal with binary sometimes, though more often you deal with hexadecimal (base 16), and sometimes (on old gronk) octal (base 8). It helps to be able to convert on-the-fly. Binary digits are also known as “bits”, and eight of them is a “byte”.

For instance, an IP address range is commonly designated as “192.168.0.x/24”. The four numbers (given in decimal) are between 0 and 255, and can also be rendered as hex numbers between 00 and FF…..which map to binary of 00000000 to 11111111. The number after the slash is how many bits are “fixed” and cannot vary. So IP addresses traditionally use decimal and binary to talk about things that are actually easier in hex, just because they were done that way early on.

Valerie Curren

Thank you. I understood that partially, at least.

So 1 + 1 = 10 is sort of tricky, as in 1 + 1 = 2 but 2 in binary is actually 10…

then 10 + 1 = 11 is really 2 + 1 = 3, but 3 in binary is actually 11…

finally the 11 + 1 = 100 is just really 3 + 1 = 4 & 4 is actually 100 in binary.

I could only do that by looking at your 1-10 key, which I appreciate 🙂

So if I’m understanding your numbering system correctly this is the next 10 #s

11 is 1011
12 is 1100
13 is 1101

I would need a cheat chart to keep translating that stuff 🙂 assuming this is even correct for binary 11-20 LOL

cthulhu

That looks pretty good (without thoroughly checking) — you’ve got a pretty intuitive grasp of it (which helps).

Valerie Curren

Grasping the Counting part Only! Thanks.

I remember being confused by anything other than base 10 when exposed to that concept in grade school, iirc. Maybe it’s actually good that I never studied computers 🙂

cthulhu

Back when we were kids, there was a big kerfuffle about kids being taught “new math” that meant that they couldn’t count change from a cash till. My mother, being a professor of mathematics, had recently had set theory with unions and intersections as a graduate level class when I hit it in elementary school.

The thing is, it was all designed to make kids proficient in database operations and work with computers, and it was being implemented by people who really didn’t understand it — so, of course, it was a government clusterfark. But it wasn’t a completely stupid idea.

Valerie Curren

I had some exposure to “new math” in grade school. I remember this way of checking math problems (at least some of them) that was called squiggling.

548 squiggled 5 + 4 + 8 = 17 squiggled 1 + 7 = 8
x 63 ” 6 + 3 = 9
1644 ” 1 + 6 + 4 + 4 = 15 ” 1 + 5 = 6
+3288 ” 3 + 2 + 8 +8 = 21 ” 2 + 1 = 3
4932 ” 4 + 9 + 3 + 2 = 18 ” 1 + 8 = 9

All those bolded 9’s should mean that the math checks out…but I never understood why this actually worked. It might also be called “casting out nines” I think…

edit those columns did Not hold up

8 x 9 = 72 which squiggles to 9 (7 + 2)
6 + 3 = 9

Oh, good Lord, that made my head hurt. I think that must be the new, “NEW MATH”.

I was referring to the new math of my day, where you had sets of fruits {apple, cherry, orange, banana, mango, peach} and colors {red, blue, white, orange, green, beige} and found the intersection at {orange}. In third grade. Which is pretty handy when it comes to writing SQL, but didn’t make a lick of sense in the late 1960s.

Valerie Curren

SQL?

I always meant to use tangible toys, like dinosaurs, army men, &/or legos/duplos in varying colors & shapes to Attempt to teach Josiah some basic math concepts (he hasn’t Actually completed 3rd grade math even though he Graduated from HS, sigh). He has a Severe learning disability in math, like in the 0.0001 percentile & just never wanted to apply himself in this arena At all. I think he needed more concrete items rather than abstract to approach a grasping of some of those concepts…sigh…

Valerie Curren

SQL made me think of this thing taught us in Junior High, SQ3R, which was Study, Question, Read, Recite, Review…I think.

cthulhu

SQL is “Structured Query Language” — which is no freakin’ help at all. It’s a made-up way to access databases, and it may very well be that this blog runs on “MySQL”, or “MariaDB” which is a different version of the same thing. If you want more info, I can help you drill down…..but it’s a very deep subject.

One of the textbooks my mom reviewed while on the textbook review committee was “Mathematics: A Human Endeavor” which built its way into math through billiards, puzzles, games, observations of nature, dice, illusions, and cartoons. I don’t know if she recommended it at work, but I really liked it.

The way teaching is done in schools these days seems to lead to the production of learning-hating sheep. Actual knowledge makes the world a more wondrous and joyous place.

cthulhu

If you input certain things to an SQL database system, it can interpret them as SQL commands (unless ‘sanitized’) —

Some people in the home schooling world recommend it but caution that, because it is outside the current math curriculum, the kid’s math scores might drop.

Real-world analogies would have helped me a lot with math. I did okay with geometry because we had a pool table and I loved the angles, sticks, and balls. The positioning of the cue on the ball and the force or delicacy used to direct the ball into the pocket. Algebra was so abstract to me.

Valerie Curren

Thanks for this. No need to dig deeper at this time but I Really appreciate the offer 🙂

Valerie Curren

Thanks Wolf 🙂

rayzorback

Pick a number…
double that number…
add 6…
divide your answer in half…
subtract your original number…
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
your answer is: 3

rayzorback

Yep.
I thought it pretty cool at first.
Then I realized that you subtract your original number which cancels each other out.
If you double (x2) and divide in half, but add 6 in between…
you are essentially dividing 6 in half…
which is 3
.
It’s just a mathematical TRICK.

cthulhu

As you’ve noticed, there is a rhythm to it. The 1000’s and 1000000’s are at 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096, 8192, 16384, 32768, 65536….where each number is double the one before. And you also notice that these numbers show up in all sorts of places with computers — you can get 64G or 128G of RAM; you can get thumbdrives of 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, or 512G; they just phased-out 32-bit support in favor of 64-bit processors.

The reason that all these things coalesce around these numbers is because that’s what computers live and breathe — because that’s where the binary numbers roll over.

Valerie Curren

fascinating & appreciated insights!

The beauty of mathematics is everywhere and in everything, from the way daisies blossom to the way proportions please the eye to the underlying fundamentals of existence and motion.

It is so obviously intertwined with existence that the Creator must have put it there, and our delight is but an echo of His.

Valerie Curren

Absolutely! God is an epic math genius & artist extraordinaire & we’ve not plumbed all His depths, nor will we Ever!!!

Gail Combs

If there is one think that points to the existence of God, it is the intricate beauty and order of Math and science.

(Said as an Agnostic)

Valerie Curren

Amen! The heavens declare the glory of the Lord and the earth shows forth his handiwork!

cthulhu

Computers use binary everywhere for everything. If you’re running a 64-bit computer, it’s whompin’ 64-character-binary-numbers around all the time. Conversions to octal, decimal, or hex are done for the convenience of humans when they want to follow along — and, again, conversions to decimal are done so that humans can pretend to follow along while not really “getting it”.

Again, with IP addreses — if I use the dig command on this website, I get —

“;; ANSWER SECTION:
http://www.theqtree.com.   300   IN   A   194.32.107.12

That IP addy is in decimal. It’s really C2.20.6B.0C in hex.

I’ve been gone for a while.

Please tell me what happened to Wheatie.

Thank you.

para59r

Yes, then that’s been a long time then.

At the top of this page, (it’s there each Monday) there’s a poem by Duchess. At the bottom of the poem is a link to the poem. Go there and you will find another link to where the poem first appeared. That will take you to the day Q tree learned that Wheatie passed.

Essentially Wheatie wasn’t much about talking about her own self where it concerned her health. It took us near 6 months after much concern to learn she was no longer with us.

I read the schlichter article (backpedaling much bucko?) and then clicked on
Why the Latest COVID Development Is Going to Make Millions Angry and Regretful

Very short and weird. At least he mentioned they lied about natural immunity. He mentions you can’t sue and people under 30 are dropping dead. The he says he regrets taking the vaccine BUT THERE IS NO FIRE in his article.

kalbokalbs

Yea, no fire at all. “Marking Time”, so to speak. Tasked to write something. He did.

From the linked article.

Immunity acquired from a Covid infection provides strong, lasting protection against the most severe outcomes of the illness, according to research published Thursday in The Lancet — protection, experts say, that’s on par with what’s provided through two doses of an mRNA vaccine.”

^^^ WTF. mRNA Injections delivering protection?

I see no upside to the damn mRNA vaccines. None.

  • IMO. There is NO defense for, Covidiot Injjections.

This guy needs to read Wolf’s latest article.

Gail Combs

They had to put in the disclaimer in order to get published. Feynman’s sister had a paper on solar cycles that was hilarious in the way she trolled the scientific gate keepers.

RDS

IMO, The Lancet has lost all credibility. Especially since the Gates Foundation has given it millions.

Aubergine

Schlicter’s terrified. See my response to Gail.

Gail Combs

Actually it is a different author, Matt Vespa. (He looks oriental) And yes he may not want to look at what he has done to himself and his loved ones.

Aubergine

Aha! That makes a lot more sense! The writing style being so different, and the attitude, too.

Aubergine

No “fire,” but plenty of “FEAR.”

Which is what is quenching the fire, in my opinion.

It’s called “intellectualizing” in psychology parlance. It’s a way of “distancing” oneself from a highly emotional topic. That’s what Schlicter, and many other people are currently doing.

Gail Combs

Thanks, I just do not operate that way. I am very slow to anger but watch out when you do anger me.

Aubergine

Well, I don’t either. But I recognize it.

Specially educated people will not want to admit that they fell for a scam. This takes humility to admit but many do not have it.
My beautiful granddaughter is messed up but parents do not want to connect it to the jab. Christmas she was sick for days now she had rash all over her face and back. She only went to the Student nurse giving her a shot of steroid to clear up the problem. She went home for a week. No one took her to the doctor or investigated what the cause is was.
Why is it me uneducated no one wants to listen too because I know nothing. I am so frustrated not for myself but for my 20 year old granddaughter . Something is wrong somehow the jab did something to her even though she got it a year ago. No one wants to talk about it .

You know a lot more than they do. To paraphrase the High Sparrow from Game of Thrones, a lifetime of higher education has left them blind in one eye.

You might try putting together a folder with 4 or 5 carefully chosen articles, and seal it.

Then put a note on the outside, saying something like “After you have tried everything else, and none of it has worked, please open and read.”

Aubergine

I like this idea.
