OK, straight up apologies, Dear Q-Treepers & Friends, for this likely stream of consciousness post very loosely inspired from our dear Daughn’s nostalgic posts. This is going to veer about in personal family history domains so is meant as a bit of a slice of Americana…
Detroit’s skyline as viewed from the Ambassador Bridge
Grandpa S. came to stay with us at some point for an extended stay while I still lived in my parents’ home. I think it was after my grandma had died but before I went away to college. Grandpa had been sick and so lived with us for a season as he regained his health & his strength. There were times he’d watch Price is Right with my brothers & I & encourage us to make guesses on the various games, which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
Grandpa was a bit of a gruff man having grown up in the Motor City & having a Northwoods lumberjack for a father. He was a self-made man of limited education, never having finished high school. An avid outdoorsman and good with his hands he knew how to work hard and he was respected and even loved by many people from practically all walks of life. He had deep practical wisdom & was even flexible in his lifestyle deciding to take up new hobbies as a widower, like candle AND candy making. He had a zest for life & perpetual twinkle in his eye!
Ty Cobb in 1913 in Detroit, the era when he let Grandpa & other kids into the ballpark by the back fence to watch the games for free!
Well one day while he was staying with us the phone rang unexpectedly. Being the oldest kid it fell to me to answer the call, as my parents weren’t home at the time. Some gravelly male voice on the other end of the phone was looking for a “Lefty” & I was concerned. The only “lefty” I could imagine would be some fictional gangster or ne’er-do-well. Anyway with tremulous voice I mentioned to Grandpa that someone was looking for “Lefty”. He snatched the phone from my hand & bellowed out in his own testosterone truncated tongue “Lefty here!” I was beyond flabbergasted, My Grandpa Was Lefty!!!
Obviously this was a pretty basic nickname for a man who was left-handed, especially growing up in an era when being left-handed was a “sinister” condition. Both he, my dad’s dad, AND my mom’s mom, were left-handed & suffered the indignities that went along with being different & the punishments typically meted out for errant usage of the “wrong” hand in those bygone days. Both of these grandparents had less than beautiful handwriting but were surely more ambidextrous than most. My youngest brother is also blessed with this left-handedness & it definitely contributed to some of his sporting successes, especially his ability to be a switch-hitter on his high-school baseball team! I think he was also more competent with both feet as a soccer player than were most teammates too.
Grandpa had been a pretty poor student during his formal education. In fact, after his death, when my parents were going through his things they discovered a lone report card saved from nearly 8 decades before. Apparently this “all S” card was the best he ever did. That was based on a grading system of U=Unsatisfactory, S=Satisfactory, & E=Excellent, I believe. Basically grandpa got the equivalent of an all-C, straight average report card & that was the treasure of the ages. How easily did the high marks of so many in our family line become blasé. We didn’t really understand what it was to suffer ridicule for poor marks, well most of us didn’t…
My dad is going over my post with me & said that on Grandpa’s report card there were 12 things to be graded on per marking. In the 1st card marking he got 4 S’s & the rest U’s. 2nd marking was 8 or 9 S’s the rest U’s. The final card marking he got all 12 S’s. My grandpa wrote on that report card “Best report card I ever had” & saved it all those years. Neither my dad nor his sister knew about that card before grandpa’s death.
Not Grandpa’s report card, but one from the era when he first attended school
Grandpa did throw things away, including stock certificates for companies that went belly up during the Depression, per my dad. He provided for his family during his lifetime & had less than $1,000 to his name when he died…& a new car that he called “my second to last car”. My brother got that late ’80’s Tempo after Grandpa’s passing.
Now according to my dad his dad had one of his grade school teachers as a regular customer at his gas station & garage in the heart of Detroit. Some three decades after she taught him she would berate him with “see I knew you’d never amount to anything” when she came to fill up or get some car service from him or his employees. Imagine being dogged like that as a self-made business man, yet Grandpa didn’t stint on the service in spite of the disrespect.
In fact dad is quite sure that Grandpa accepted Scrip during the war years, and my other grandpa, being a teacher, was paid in scrip too. It is quite likely that Grandpa S’s cruel elementary teacher paid in scrip AND much of that payment never was converted to Actual Money (I don’t know all the social reasons for that) so Grandpa took care of that teacher’s material needs even as she maligned his interpersonal & self-esteem ones. He truly was the bigger man.
Not my Grandpa’s gas station, but his brand in his era
When looking for possible images of Grandpa’s old Sunoco gas station at Junction & Toledo in Detroit I ran across this nostalgic discussion of old Detroit area gas stations.
During the Second World War, at some point rationing was on. This meant that even in the Motor City it was hard to get what one needed to maintain functional transportation for the masses. Dad said that Grandpa had an old vulcanizing machine, that could be used to patch tires, and that his dad practically single-handedly kept Detroit on wheels! If he could have brought that machine with him to Northern Michigan when he retired it should have ended up in a museum, how significant was it’s contribution to keeping Detroit moving!
1945 Ration Book from the region, this example from Illinois
Speaking of Northern Michigan let’s segue a bit. My Grandpa’s dad had grown into manhood in the Northern Michigan lumbering industry, though he himself was a mid-Michigan farm boy. He left home, possibly even before his teen years to work in lumbering. He drove the horse-drawn wagons, worked as a lumberjack, and later was some type of foreman.
The company he worked for was owned by a Mr. Lowrey and at one point Lowrey’s son made his way into the woods to get his lumbering chops with the working guys. Apparently the lumberjacks were a pretty rough group of customers & Great-Grandpa took the boss’s son under his wing, showed him the ropes, AND protected him from the brutish thugs. This was noticed by the boss so later on when operations were moved South into Detroit Great-Grandpa was invited to come along and manage the lumber yard. That’s what he did for the rest of his working life. AND that is how that side of my family came to Detroit, right about 1900!
Logging in Michigan, 1890’s, when my Great Grandpa was still working in the Northern Michigan woods
Apparently Great Grandpa S. was a pretty tough customer too. He was tall, over 6 feet, with a fairly slender build. Even so, he was incredibly strong. One time Grandpa, as a young man, or even teen, had occasion to do some work at his dad’s lumber yard. There were train cars to be loaded or unloaded of 50 pound bags of cement, I believe. Grandpa would carry a bag in each hand & fling them in a smooth motion up to stack even over his head. Dad said that his father had very strong hands & even used to play handball at the Y in Detroit. Anyway G observed GG breaking up a fight amongst some unrulies in the lumber yard. When they wouldn’t stop the fight Great Grandpa stepped in & with One Blow Each felled each man. My grandpa was in shock that his dad could or would do that, this was someone not to mess around with!
Ironically my dad & his friends also experienced Grandpa’s physical & character strength for themselves. There was a time in their teen years that dad & his buddies took out the family car joy riding, over 50 miles of driving without ever leaving the Detroit city limits. Apparently Dad didn’t think to put more gas in the car so the next day as Grandpa was headed into work at His gas station, he ran out of gas. Grandpa somehow got a hold of Dad’s buddy & lifted him one handed off the floor & stuck him to the wall. What happened to Dad during that timeframe has always been rather murkily glossed over. I know my dad inherited this skill set for I once witnessed him lift up one of my brother’s cocky little friends up off the floor & stick him to the wall, though he used 2 hands in this surprising intervention on the now more subdued teen!
So we’ve had Michigan’s North Woods in our blood for a number of generations. Now fortunately my Grandpa S. married my grandma, the daughter of a railroad engineer–both of her parents were children of immigrants from the British Isles. Grandma’s dad had a fairly cushy job that he’d worked into on the Michigan Central Railroad. One of the perks of working for the railroad was getting the family to ride the rails, for free, I believe. Grandma’s family used to regularly travel Up North and enjoy Summer vacations in Michigan’s beautiful North Country, far from their native Detroit.
Historic Arbutus Beach, on Otsego Lake, MI in the era when my grandma’s family vacationed there
Eventually Grandma’s parents settled on a small community in Gaylord and bought a Cottage, being the first such building in the newly platted resort community of Arbutus Beach, along the beautiful sandy shore of Otsego Lake. Nearly all of Grandma’s siblings and many cousins ultimately obtained cottages in that community. My grandparents married in the late 1920’s and somehow acquired one of the existing Cottages in Arbutus Beach, as its second owners. My dad & his sister, along with their mother, spent virtually Every Summer of their childhood in that Northern Michigan paradise. Surrounded by family & friends they’d leave Detroit the day after school let out & only head home the day before school started in the Fall. Grandpa would join them for both journeys, I think because there was only one car. Grandma & the kids either caught the train to/from town or perhaps bummed rides from relatives with transportation.
How my great grandparents moved their cottage to Arbutus Beach, details here: https://specialconnections.wordpress.com/2017/06/29/josiahs-story-about-the-4th-of-july/
Now that same Cottage ended up becoming my grandparents’ retirement home, somewhat unexpectedly. Up until the Race Riot era of the late ’60’s both sets of my grandparents expected to live in their Detroit homes for the remainder of their natural lives. However during that season of social upheaval block-busting real estate agents put the pressure on & ultimately both sets of grandparents winterized Summer cottages to become their then retirement homes.
The simpler times of my dad’s youth saw Otsego Lake rarely shackled, as it is now, by excessive docks or boats
The Gaylord Cottage would figure largely in my own life too. When my new husband & I decided to come to Michigan–we had met & married in Oklahoma, though I was a child of the Motor City–we ended up living temporarily in The Cottage that was now in my parents’ possession after Grandpa’s death about a half decade previously. Michael & I lived in The Cottage as newly weds AND as new parents. Our first child, Nathaniel was born while we lived in The Cottage (his height is marked on the 4 generation height-recording doorjambs between the dining & living rooms at just One Day Old!) & was gifted the nickname “The Jack-Pine Savage” because of this northern naissance. In fact I believe our son is the Only family member in 6 generations of our extended family associated with this Northern Michigan community who was born in Gaylord, though several have died there. Though our twins were born while we still lived in that community–we had bought our own house in town by that time–they were in fact born downstate because of the high-risk nature of that pregnancy & their anticipated medical needs…
If you’d like to see a Newspaper article from back when Michael & I and the Boys lived in Gaylord in the 1990’s check it out here, on pages 1, 4, & 5:
Anyway, at one point when Michael & I were moving into The Cottage we boxed up some things to make room for some of our belongings. One day we were going through some old kids books and discovered some doodlings & writings by my dad. Apparently Dad had fancied himself some type of cowboy AND given himself the moniker Wild Bill! I absolutely Loved It!!!
Whenever watching that perennial classic A Christmas Story, I can imagine my dad as a lad in the 1940’s into the ’50’s with his admiration for all things cowboy & his gun prowess. I’m pretty sure that he was Up North when practicing targeting some strategic mushrooms on top of a log. However, unlike Steve’s important Saturday reminders, he forgot to notice what was Behind his target. So successfully hitting mushrooms with his BB gun sometimes meant tagging one of his playmates inadvertently as the projectiles maintained their forward trajectory. Simpler times…
Boy with gun in the 1950’s, not my dad but similar to his era
It’s impossible to anticipate what type of gems one might unearth in an old family home! Years ago there was a major garage cleaning undertaken by 3 generations of the family. At one point an old scorched ironing board cover, complete with it’s “scorchless” packaging was unearthed. After much conversation it was returned to the archeological dig to be unearthed years, or perhaps generations from now, so the joy & consternation at our family ways can continue!
Saving that old ironing board cover reminded Dad about his mom’s dad, the railroad engineer. Apparently Great-Grandpa T. used to collect stamps. He would meticulously organize them into small piles and tie them together with small pieces of string & place them strategically in old cigar boxes. Well he kept some container labeled “String Too Short To Save” for this stamp-corralling work, apparently because that was about all such short lengths of string were good for! If you knew how much my packratedness AND that of some other family members has tormented those who are more comfortable with much less physical (& other) baggage, you would recognized that “String Too Short To Save” isn’t always a badge of honor here!
Several books had similar titles, so this metaphor goes well beyond just our family perspective & experience–yikes!
So back to Lefty AND World War II. Dad & his sister have some direct memories of the war years, though they were still Very Young when it ended. Apparently they kept a pail of pure sand in the attic in case the house were ever bombed or hit with incendiary devices. They employed blackout curtains. Grandpa was sometimes involved in some type of neighborhood patrol, well Dad says that actually the next-door neighbor Mr. Bush was the Warden, who’d knock on your door if any light showed through the blackout curtains. They sounded an air raid siren for a drill in getting into blackout conditions & the Warden would patrol the neighborhood looking for any errant lights during that drill. Ration Books were in play & plenty of food was hard to get. Street Signs were removed to prevent the enemy, should he land on our shores, from easily navigating these foreign roads. And of course rationing meant deprivations in many arenas.
One place of deprivation was in the use of gasoline. Even Grandpa, who owned his own gas station business, could not get extra gasoline. That meant that when hunting season rolled around he wouldn’t be able to head Up North to the Hunting Shack to do the traditional annual deer hunting pilgrimage, or wouldn’t he? Actually he had some cousins who were farmers and apparently the government wasn’t rationing their access to gas in Any Way. So some of these cousins arranged to leave cans of gas strategically along the side of the road, hidden in the ditch, so Grandpa could gas up sufficiently to make it to his war-time limited hunting camp!
teaser historic post card from Luzerne, MI our guys rarely see this many deer in the region nowadays
By the way, how The Shack came into the family is a bit of an interesting tale too. Grandpa, his cousin, uncle, & some friends used to hunt the state or federal lands adjacent to a farmer’s land Up North. They’d done this for some years in a remote area in Oscoda County near the Very Small Town of Luzerne. Many times these hunters had begged the farmer to sell them a small amount of land so they could put up more permanent hunting camps than their tent-based camps of yesteryear. One time they invited the farmer to join them for a meal in the large dining tent. Their camp stove gave off a spark that ignited that tent AND it completely burned before they could un-stake all the ropes & drop the canvas to the ground. The farmer decided it was no way to live so relented & sold them One Acre, which was subdivided into 2 plots & 2 hunting shacks were built there, both still standing.
The shack across the street used to have a custom-made wood burned sign (recently stolen) claiming “Piscopalian Valley”, which is what our original hunters used to call the area since the piss would go in the pail before the hunting shacks AND outhouses were put in. In fact Grandpa’s uncle Will was known as “the Mayor of Piscopalian Valley” since he would make the rounds of the many nearby hunting camps AND the “blue horse trail” camp (the blue horse trail marks an equestrian path that traverses the fingers of Michigan’s Mitten–no NOT that Mitt!–from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron and makes navigating “our” hunting zone much more interesting) & pick up all the news of the hunt & the community–what a rich history abounded there & many tales live on!
Blue Horse Trail near Luzerne passes through the family hunting grounds
Speaking of news AND WWII the way Lefty learned about the end of the war was pretty amazing. Now I don’t ever recall hearing my grandpa tell this story, but Wild Bill has good recall of it. Apparently as The War was waning Grandpa went on an extended hunting or fishing adventure in the wilds of Canada, dad said that it was a fishing trip. He was walking along a portage trail in the woods & came across a carving on a tree trunk declaring the date & time of the end of the war in Europe AND he ran across this within two hours of someone carving it, literally out in the middle of nowhere! What an amazing world!
If only that WWII was the war to end all wars & love reigned supreme
Boy were our forbears hearty & blessed people. We are blessed to carry their blood in our veins & some of their quirkiness in our behaviors & of course some of their personality & physical traits in our beings, as they continue to live on, in a manner of speaking, in & through us.
From C.S. Lewis in his Chronicles of Narnia, as recounted here: https://silo.pub/pocket-companion-to-narnia-a-guide-to-the-magical-world-of-cs-lewis.html. HONOR — To seek honor in obedience and to behave honorably may be said to be one definition of a true Narnian. In PC [Prince Caspian]15, Caspian is ashamed that he comes of such a dishonorable (Telmarine) lineage. Aslan replies, “You come of the Lord Adam and Lady Eve. And that is both honor enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar and shame enough to bow the heads and shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth. Be content.”
Veteran’s Day Addendum
Honoring our warriors, especially on Veteran’s Day!
We all owe so much to the many who have made tremendous sacrifices to fight for & ensure ongoing degrees of freedom for their fellow man. The complexity of the tapestry of lives, lifestyles, & social & family dynamics can never fully be done justice. So many different ways our warriors & their families & friends have laid down their lives for the family of man. Thank you!
I come from a family without direct modern experience in military service & warfare. However I know of numerous serviceman in the extended family who answered the call. This listing is to honor their service & sacrifice & that of so many others who have stood in the gap on freedom’s and our nation’s behalf.

Vignette of my Uncle Hugh’s military service, from his obituary “Dr. Thompson was a US veteran, serving with the US Medical Corps for three and a half years. He was captain of the 32nd Field Hospital in Italy. After VE Day, he was sent to the Philippines and Japan.” He moved his wife & kids into their Northern Michigan cottage while he was overseas during WWII, being concerned for their safety had they remained in their Detroit home during his extended absence. Yes, it’s great that one of the most rancid cunts in US politics is destined to leave office on January 3rd of next year, having been primaried out…by a great big (but not big enough) margin.
But just remember…we might replace the RINO candidates. But that will make no difference in the long run if the party officials, basically the Rhonna McDaniels (or however that’s spelled), don’t get replaced.
State party chairs, vice chairs, secretaries and so on, and the same at county levels, have huge influence on who ultimately gets nominated, and if these party wheelhorses are RINOs, they will work tirelessly to put their own pukey people on the ballot. In fact I’d not be surprised if some of our “MAGA” candidates are in fact, RINO plants, encouraged to run by the RINO party leadership when they realized that Lyn Cheney (and her ilk) were hopelessly compromised as effective candidates. The best way for them to deal with the opposition, of course, is to run it themselves.
Running good candidates is only HALF of the battle!
SPECIAL SECTION: Message For Our “Friends” In The Middle Kingdom
I normally save this for near the end, but…basically…up your shit-kicking barbarian asses. Yes, barbarian! It took a bunch of sailors in Western Asia to invent a real alphabet instead of badly drawn cartoons to write with. So much for your “civilization.”
Yeah, the WORLD noticed you had to borrow the Latin alphabet to make Pinyin. Like with every other idea you had to steal from us “Foreign Devils” since you rammed your heads up your asses five centuries ago, you sure managed to bastardize it badly in the process.
Have you stopped eating bats yet? Are you shit-kickers still sleeping with farm animals?
Or maybe even just had the slightest inkling of treating lives as something you don’t just casually dispose of?
中国是个混蛋 !!! Zhōngguò shì gè hùndàn !!! China is asshoe !!!
And here’s my response to barbarian “asshoes” like you:
Apparently Biden (or his puppeteer) has decided we’re to blame for all of the fail in the United States today.
Sorry to disappoint you Joe (or whoever), but you managed to do that all on your own; not only that, you wouldn’t let us NOT give you the chance because you insisted on cheating your way into power.
Yep, you-all are incompetent, and so proud of it you expect our applause for your sincerity. Fuck that!!
It wouldn’t be so bad, but you insist that everyone else have to share in your misery. Nope, can’t have anyone get out from under it. Somehow your grand vision only works if every single other person on earth is forced to go along. So much as ONE PERSON not going along is enough to make it all fail, apparently.
In engineering school we’re taught that a design that has seven to eight billion single points of failure…sucks.
Actually, we weren’t taught that. Because it would never have occurred to the professors to use such a ridiculous example.
Justice Must Be Done.
The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.
Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.
Kamala Harris has a new nickname since she finally went west from DC to El Paso Texas: Westward Hoe.

China is in the White House
Since Wednesday, January 20 at Noon EST, the bought-and-paid for His Fraudulency Joseph Biden has been in the White House. It’s as good as having China in the Oval Office.
Joe Biden is Asshoe
China is in the White House, because Joe Biden is in the White House, and Joe Biden is identically equal to China. China is Asshoe. Therefore, Joe Biden is Asshoe.
But of course the much more important thing to realize:
Joe Biden Didn’t Win
乔*拜登没赢 !!! Qiáo Bài dēng méi yíng !!! Joe Biden didn’t win !!!
I’m skipping all the boilerplate invective this week, as fun as it is. Because something just occurred to me.

At some point I got hit with a light dose of something or other. I beat a bit of a retreat but someone got to the top of the scaffolding with an American flag.
Fourth And Final Dump of Pictures
The next thing I remember, after getting close in, is a gas cartridge landing about ten feet away from me. I had already gotten light exposure twice to something that made one cough, and once to something that also stung when you inhaled it. Sticking around here would no doubt entail more than light exposure. I backed away.
This photo was timestamped six second later than the previous one.
When the smoke cleared, I noticed people charging up the steps. Lots of people charging up the steps. In fact I can see them in the prior picture too if I blow it up.
Breached!
OK, that ends the quote.
Note that I missed the key moment…the moment the people on that stairway started to pour through.
They got through, right after the tear gas landed right next to me.
Let me remind you what I was doing…I was near that stairway, with a camera.
Not a phone, a “real” camera, with an 18-200 mm lens. It’s a lot smaller than it sounds but still, it’s gear in a way that a phone is not. Also, but not visible from the outside (unless someone recognizes the camera model), this little camera takes 32 megapixel pictures. (What I posted on the thread was considerably reduced in size!)
Was that tear gas canister…which landed less than ten feet away from me…fired specifically for the purpose of distracting me while they let the stairway people breach the line?
Maybe, maybe not. But the timing and placement of that canister and the “breach” sure makes me wonder.
The timestamp for the first picture I took after the gas canister hit was 1:19:36 MST. This picture is the first one above with the cloud of tear gas. The camera numbered it #3175.
(Note: That is almost certainly not the right time. I routinely forget to adjust the clock on my camera when I bring it out for use…which is sporadically. And the camera’s clock isn’t all that accurate, it slips from the correct time greatly over the span of a few months. But the time stamps can be used to establish relative timing.)
The timestamp for the last picture I took before that (#3174) was 1:17:46. It’s similar to the last one in my post before the tear gas, which was #3157…that was taken at 1:17:30. (Yes, I took seventeen 32 megapixel pictures in 16 seconds…and the camera didn’t break a sweat; it can do 15 per second for half a minute before the buffer fills up and it chokes. And, by the way, this is not even, by a long shot, the best camera that company makes. This is a fairly small camera whose design emphasis was portability.)
It’s a damned shame I wasn’t taking video. (The last video I took, 2:22 seconds worth, was of the stairway, culminating in some guy in a blue coat getting pepper sprayed. Screen capture (also in my original post) below):
The video (numbered #2944) is time stamped 1:00:58…almost nineteen minutes before the grenade. I don’t know if that’s the start time or the end time. The video is 1080p and you will never see a Bigfoot video of remotely that quality.
Like I said it’s a damn shame I wasn’t videoing at the right time.
Of course these days everyone has a camera with them, in their cell phone, so a lot of cops abusing citizens (and “model citizens” abusing cops) get filmed by passers-by these days, to say nothing of dash cams, body cams, and so on. But at this rally, only a small fraction of people were using their cameras. Most were busy waving flags, and yelling and screaming. Some people put gopros and similar things on poles, but for all I knew they were “media” or Antifa plants or even undercover cops, and therefore harmless to “them.” In fact, I’m at least a bit confident that those guys with cameras on poles were gone by the time the grenade hit.
So anyone else with a “real” camera (interchangeable lens) might have stuck out like a sore thumb.
Out of all those people, did I have to be distracted?
Like I said, I’ll never know.

State party chairs, vice chairs, secretaries and so on, and the same at county levels, have huge influence on who ultimately gets nominated, and if these party wheelhouses are RINOs, they will work tirelessly to put their own pukey people on the ballot.

Biden Gives Us Too Much Credit
…we can move on to the next one.

And it’s trending up against the euro. Personally I think both are circling the drain, so something else is in play…conspiracy theories about big buyers forcing the price down are certainly not out of order.

TL;DR – Watch this sucker while ignoring the myopic neo-Bolshevik “refugee” propaganda, but instead keeping in mind the current COVID/WEF insanity, to get a grip on the incipient climate-excused holocaust of the depopulationists, which is the fault of SOCIALISM, same as the soon-to-be-dwarfed “Holocaust” of the 1930s and 1940s.
OK – just a bit more detail…..
Don’t watch the Ken Burns Holocaust special for any of the slanted, leftist, socialist messaging stapled onto the historical facts in a DNC-approved and ADL-edited way.
Watch this PBS special while subversively keeping in mind the new socialist, depopulationist, eco-nuttery holocaust which now exceeds 6 million COVID dead and will soon DWARF the old “Holocaust” of so much hypocritical and self-centered angst.
Calmly stroke Suspicious Cat, as the Holocaust is falsely linked to rejection of current “asylum seekers” in a face-palmingly stereotypical and Trump-hating way.
Watch this PBS special while “rebelliously” remembering that RIGHT NOW we are in a DESIGNED CRASH of the world economy, which will kill BILLIONS of innocent people if not stopped – and which is largely driven with the eager participation of globalist and socialist “Jazis” – who are no less evil than the Nazis of old – self-righteous in their “ESG/DEI” zeal, with their vain self-assurance that they and they alone know the answers which must be forced upon the world.
Watch this special remembering Andrew Cuomo, Anthony Fauci, Ralph Baric, Joe Biden, WEF, Klaus Schwab, Pfizer, CCP and Albert Bourla, and keeping close in mind, the NEW holocaust which has already killed over 6 million worldwide by the virus ALONE, and is already creating even-more-massive excesses in mortality in every country, in unacknowledged proportion to acceptance of the “vaccines”.
Watch this PBS propaganda special while remembering how the US and China co-created biological “gain of function” which literally DWARFS the mere chemical nastiness of a bug spray, “Zyklon B”, itself more comparable to Fauci’s murderous remdesivir, or the midazolam they apparently used for “COVID euthanasia” in the UK.
Watch this special while remembering the millions who died around the world from both virus and vaccines, including tens of thousands of Israelis, as secular Jewish leaders condemned their own and didn’t lift a finger, other than to censor Zev Zelenko, and to suppress their own report on the dangers of the vaccines they INVESTED IN.
Watch this special in strict analogy of the THEN unbelievability of the “final solution”, to the NOW unbelievability of “depopulation”.
Realize that the problem isn’t antisemitism or “refugee acceptance” – it’s SOCIALISM.
SOCIALISM KILLS – no matter which brand.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) were joined by Democratic lawmakers from both the House and Senate on February 7, 2019, to introduce Green New Deal legislation.
Oh, hell. I said enough already. Do I really need to explain this?
If so, I’ll do it in the comments.
But the bottom line is that this special has a lot of great facts, which – if you are prepared to see them in the context of current events – are quite convincing that we ARE in the late beginning of yet another socialist holocaust.
TL;DR – This post explains three graphs which all gave me “AHA” moments when I saw them. They all reveal lies in public science, which are used to manipulate humanity. Strategic and fundamental lies in climate science and planetary history are used to justify more tactical lies in energy and medicine. Together, these three graphs indict the sabotaged and weaponized public science which is being used against humanity.
All of this conforms to a concise and remarkably prescient warning by President (and former General) Dwight D. Eisenhower.
While there is much deep science in each graph, certain basic principles are easily seen without a technical background. Those ideas provide the “wait a second” thought needed for proper scientific skepticism.
If you want to get the “executive tour” and finish this in under 5 minutes, just read through anything that says TL;DR in bold, and the images next to the headline text. If you have 30 minutes, watch the videos next to TL;DR. If you have an hour or two, read everything.
If you read THIS paragraph, then consider the slow route. Or consider doing the TL;DR fast track first, and then coming back for the full ride.
Mood Music
Introduction
I wanted to keep this short, but I know that’s almost impossible. I’ve put off this post until I was ready, but I wasn’t ready until I heard this music (see above), while reading over an older post that aged well in a variety of ways.
Why would we mass treat a virus with a drug which forces the virus to mutate, when mutation is how the virus creates new variants that reinfect the vaccinated? Before I explain the title contradiction, let me start with an admission. Most of my life, I have been very friendly with the pharmaceutical industry. I …
The point I saw was that mass formation psychosis has been used at all levels of science, and the only way for us to fix science now is
MASS FORMATION AWARENESS.
Be part of it. NOW.
Q = MFA
(The equation is a bit of a joke – but you are welcome to elaborate it humorously, fellow nerds.)
I had thought that maybe I was putting off this post until the last post was done, but the next post was always the last one, and I knew that I would always find just one more post to do first.
Nope. Now is the time. The last “Wheatie” post is in the can, strengthening my soul, and in hearing this song that I used for it, while knowing that we are on the right path, I’m suddenly ready.
There is a certain beautiful sadness in knowing that I’ve remained silent about even ONE lie for far too long. And now, with THREE beautiful lies – three FURIES against mankind – it’s time to take them all on.

It’s The Jabs
TL;DR – The Ethical Skeptic analyzed CDC data for causes of death in the US. By looking at deaths caused by blood and immune disorders, but not by COVID itself, vs. projections from pre-COVID data, two things show up – more “late” deaths related to COVID, and a MUCH BIGGER group of similar deaths that started precisely with the jabs.
You can see this in the graph as space between the two curves, widening first in Spring 2020 (twice), and much more in April 2021, coincident with the biggest deployment of the jabs.
I’m pretty sure Ethical Skeptic doesn’t believe in God, but that does nothing to keep me from saying “Thank God for Ethical Skeptic”. When Truth is an unyielding goal of individuals, they don’t need to agree on what Truth is, to create a world of good faith.
It was gil00 who brought me this tweet, wondering if it was important. I told her at the time that I needed to do a post on it, but that is just the beginning of its importance. Tradebait, Gail Combs, and the rest of the gang, also saw that this was a biggie.
The fact that it contains one of three graphs that “change everything”, should give you an idea of exactly how important I think it is.
ALL Americans need to understand this graph.
No – I take that back. All intelligent life within the sphere of influence of this planet and this moment need to understand this graph. THEY THE PEOPLE need to understand exactly who they’re dealing with.
Everything begins with the blood – and sequels from there… this is the other canary in the coal mine aside from rare cancers…
Before telling you WHY, let me assure you that there are MANY more graphs like this, which will all say roughly the same thing – IF one is honest enough to let the data talk. I choose this graph because it’s probably the clearest and simplest that I’ve seen so far – due in large part to its creator, The Ethical Skeptic, or “TES” as I will refer to him now.
We have talked about TES’s work before, since he emerged as one of the most skillful and impossible-to-censor critics of what might be called “Fauci science”. I may quibble with minor points on his more far-reaching hypotheses and theories, but I always find that his general and bigger principles “age spectacularly well”, and are best taken very seriously at the earliest possible moment.
Again, hence the need for this post.
Here is what I said originally – it was my “initial reaction”. You don’t have to follow it too closely, unless you find it all obvious. I’m going to explain this in detail.
By looking just at blood and immune disorders, and comparing mortality of 2018-2019 (pre-COVID) as a baseline (which was then extended by seasonal extrapolation into 2020, 2021 and 2022, with normal population increase meaning a slight increase in deaths), and then looking at 2018-2022 actual for all years, using the actual figures, but removing COVID, one can see the population reduction effect of the jabs, as the excess cardio and immune mortality, which just keeps increasing with time.
It’s clear as a bell in the data, when one compares to the “expected deaths based on the last two years of pre-COVID times”.
The striking thing is how STRONGLY the sum which includes 2020 and 2021 deviates away from the prior years, starting exactly with the jabs.
2020 includes TESTING of jabs. 2021 includes DEPLOYMENT of jabs. 2022 includes BOOSTING of jabs.
It’s a depop shot. And it works. All they would have had to do is dial up the dose just enough, while normalizing the deaths with the media, and it’s totally tunable to the rate of depop that one desires.
OK – so what does all that mean?
Let’s take it slower.
First of all, at any time, you can go to theethicalskeptic.com and check out his article on this topic, which does not YET have THIS particular graph (except in the comments), but which will likely have said graph in the next two parts of the article.
I also call your attention to this highlighted point made near the beginning of the article.
Nonetheless, by the end of 2021 it had become abundantly clear that US citizens were not just dying of Covid-19 to the excess, they were also now dying of something else, and at a rate which eventually became higher than that of Covid itself.
The Ethical Skeptic, Houston, We Have a Problem (Part 1 of 3)
If you just read that, where TES couches his words VERY carefully, and you know what he’s hinting at, then you know why I said this is one of the three big graphs you need to understand. He ain’t lyin’. My only quibble is that I suspect that his estimate of “decades” of damage to health policy may be conservative, and “centuries” is a horrifying possibility.
Are you ready to dig into the graph?
GOOD. Here we go.
Let’s start with some ACRONYMS.
NHCS = National Center for Health Statistics
MCD = MCoD = Multiple Cause of Death
UCoD = Underlying Cause of Death
ICD-10 = International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision
The basic graph is DEATHS going up on the left, and TIME going across from left to right, over a period of YEARS.
The DEATHS on the left are showing from 350 per week (at the bottom left) to 950 per week (at the top left). That means that we are not seeing the 0-350 region, which is featureless and below the portion of the graph that we can see. It’s a legitimate suppression – it’s not hiding anything except relative magnitudes of the changes to a SMALL extent, and it helps us see the differences in those changes better. It’s a magnifier – just remember that it’s there.
The title says that this is US-NCHS data for Multiple Cause of Death, meaning it’s looking at all causes of death listed on death certificates in the US and then databased by the National Center for Health Statistics, which is part of the CDC. This database is then searchable online.
The title also says that this data is for SELECTED cause-of-death codes listed in the ICD-10 system. The data runs up to week 29 of 2022, and is adjusted for the lag in reporting to CDC at the end (see right-hand side).
Let’s jump briefly to the topic of those codes.
Using the drop-down buttons you can see in the image, TES has chosen death codes 50-89, but has excluded COVID-19. Those codes are briefly described as “diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs” (but excluding COVID-19). TES has also selected ALL ages.
In the lower left you can see several descriptions of that different groups of the D-codes mean. Generally speaking, these are related to blood, blood-forming organs, and some immune problems. We will quote from TES himself about these later.
This does NOT include cardiac arrests, strokes, and certain other “stereotypical” clot-shot diseases, but it DOES include more “obscure” diseases that we can intuitively expect would be affected by both COVID and the CLOT SHOT. Thus, it serves as a kind of sensitive test for “something bad in the blood”.
A critical point for understanding is in the subtitle below the title.
2020/21/22 Compared to Baseline 2018/19
What this means is that what we are really doing OVERALL is looking at the 3 years of data “from and after Wuhan COVID”, 2020-2022, and comparing those numbers to “before Wuhan COVID”, 2018-2019. This explains why there are TWO curves on the graph. But in order to do this VALIDLY, we have to PROJECT the numbers from 2018-2019 FORWARD into the next three years, since the baseline would automatically increase on its own. Thus, we have TWO CURVES that run for all 5 years.
It helps to look at the red dashed curve first. This is listed as 2018-2019 Baseline 5 week moving average. Don’t worry about the “moving average” stuff. What this does is to take a bunch of scattered points and smooths them into closer points that can be used to draw a curve through them. It’s a neat trick to create the “best curve through scattered points”.
You can see that this is a bumpy “sawtooth” curve, higher in the winter, lower in the summer, and slowly rising over time. Typically, over time, this is what you see. Every year can be predicted largely from one or more prior years. You just take the past, find all the patterns you can, and project them all into the future.
There is a related red note in the lower left corner of the graph that says “1.4% baseline growth rate”. This is the annual growth in the baseline numbers from 2018-2019. The numbers vary rather strongly from month to month, but not much year from year, meaning that it’s easy to predict what they SHOULD look like in future years, such as 2020, 2021, and 2022. Each year will look pretty much like the last, months and weeks will go up and down, but day to day it will be 1.4% higher than the previous year, following the patterns of previous years.
This idea works remarkably well.
OK – so what is the pink solid line? THAT is the ACTUAL NUMBERS, for all five years, from week to week, using a 7-week moving average, and reporting it as the LAST week of the seven weeks. This is where we’re going to find any interesting phenomena.
The use of a DIFFERENT number of weeks for the multi-week moving average serves as a kind of sanity check in the region where both curves derive from the same ACTUAL data (2018-2019). The curves will not be much different, and the differences are just an artifact of the methodology, but if you see a big difference in that region of the same actual data in both curves, it’s probably meaningful, and probably something WRONG in your processing of the data.
Any minor differences you DO see in the region of actual data vs. itself (2018-2019), serve as a nice comparison of SCALE to any systematic differences you see in the 2020-2022 region, which is the region of ACTUAL DATA (pink solid) versus PROJECTED DATA (red dashed).
For example, if TES has a similar graph for some code like automobile accidents or choking on food, you can confidently predict that ACTUAL data for 2020-2022 should match the curve for PROJECTED DATA from 2018-2019 fairly closely – apart from any unexpected societal effects of COVID such as lockdowns, but those would then appear rationally in the data.
SO WHAT DO WE SEE?
TL;DR – the actual deaths begin to exceed the projected deaths in stages, with a lesser jump happening due to COVID itself, but a far bigger jump (over 2.5 times as big) happening after people began taking the jabs in a big way in April of 2021.
Looking at the two curves with the innocence of a child, we see them separating in stages. We see them separate a certain amount (call it 1X) during spring and early summer of 2020 (call this region 1), then separating about twice as much (2-3X) during summer, fall and winter of 2020, and early spring of 2021 (region 2). Then, in late spring of 2021, the separation grows suddenly and substantially (7-10X) (region 3), and it just keeps growing into 2022 (15X+).
This is NOT an accident. TES knew that the vaccines began being given in a big way around week 14 of 2021 (early mid-April), as shown by this graph.
TL;DR – this additional graph shows how the slope (derivative) of total jab doses given is used to see when most of the jabs were administered. This is near the beginning of dosing, and explains the sudden rapid widening between the two curves in the primary graph. It’s a “pandemic of vaccination” much like COVID itself.
Based on this date, TES looked for ICD codes which show a dramatic WIDENING at “Critical Inflection 1” – meaning when the jabs were introduced (what I called the beginning of region 3), VERSUS any prior widening in spring of 2020, when COVID-19 of the Wuhan strain was introduced (what I called the beginning of “region 1”).
Stated differently, TES is only counting things which appeared dramatically MORE for the jabs, than they did for COVID itself.
Basically, TES is being “too fair” to the jabs. We know that there are many causes of death by both COVID and the JABS, “because spike protein”, but if it’s not overwhelmingly obvious IN THE DATA that they’re significantly and primarily due to the jabs, he’s not counting them.
He’s letting a bunch of jab deaths “get away”, to make sure that he’s indicting only real jab deaths.
As a side-note, this is what Gregg Phillips did with True The Vote’s geospatial data, by only counting the most blatant and obviously organized mule data (10 drop boxes and 5 stash houses). It becomes almost impossible to criticize the science, when data is winnowed down to exclude even the most marginally debatable data.
Deny the unethical skeptics even a foothold, and they cannot even begin to raise an unethical argument.
Pretty BOSS LEVEL if you ask me.
Here is what TES has to say about the ICD codes that he used.
With regard to these select ICD-10 codes, I have endeavored to highlight only those which have exhibited a stark difference between their arrival patterns during the 2020 pandemic period, and that period after MMWR Week 14 2021. While there are indeed increases in deaths incumbent inside the other ICD-10 codes, those increases appeared to plausibly conform to their same arrival patterns for 2020 as well. In other words, they appeared to be heavily Covid-related in their dynamics, both before and after the Week 14 2021 inflection.
Of particular concern, are those deaths which relate to body-wide regulatory systems as opposed to specific organs or causes. In other words, cancer and lymphomas, heart, autonomous myocarditis/pericarditis/conductive disorders, injuries to the liver and kidneys, etc. These are not only the canaries in the coal mine in terms of pathology, but may serve to indicate as well that a pervasive systemic disruption is at play inside the average US citizen human physiology, especially over the last 71 weeks. These are the death groups which exhibit the most stark trend of increase post MMWR Week 14 2021.
There have nevertheless been some attempts to “take down” TES’s analysis, but after two of them were burnt to a crisp on Twitter, it’s pretty clear that these attacks were not “ethical skepticism”, but in fact beautiful examples of what has happened to science in the wake of politicization and corruption. One academic was even outed by a sharp Twitter user as a practiced shill for the Faucism narrative, referred to humorously as “a regular on the fact-check circuit”.
NOW, knowing what the graph means – that the cure turned out to be worse than the disease (something which Trump said could not happen, thus forcing a coup to maintain the plot) – it is really worth it to go back and read TES’s article, if you have not already.
It’s tough science, but even if you just “kinda get it”, it’s WORTH IT.
It is important to read the comments at the end, too. Not only does TES have links to his Twitter defenses, and the graph highlighted in this article appears – there is comment by somebody who did a rough calculation based on mRNA therapies that have failed human trials in the past. Based on his calculations…. well, let me just quote.
Great work. I did a small quick model using a Gaussian Distribution over 9 years to see what the numbers would be each year for “events” given 80% of the total population vaccinated had active ingredients and would develop events similar to past other mRNA failed trials. 7,887 deaths per week is about 179% above my model for 2022. If the past is indeed playing out here, this excess deaths per week will increase by a factor of 9 over the next year. Most adverse events in past similar trials did not take place until year three. By year six, 84% of the cohort was positive for adverse events.
TL;DR – It’s now very likely that these late jab deaths will increase dramatically during the next few years, based on mRNA therapy trial information which was available but seemingly ignored.
Watch this video if you have 3 minutes.
I would even go so far as to say that this highly censored video of an alleged mRNA trial participant from several years ago (see above), breaking his NDA and claiming serious cardiac problems affecting almost all of the people in his trial, may not be a fraud.
If that video is entirely true, then based on his numbers, my assessment is that his trial was very likely a secret depopulation trial flying under the false flag of a secret mRNA therapy trial. Which may then make COVID-19 and the jabs, the mother of all false flags.
In my opinion it is important to force the finding and recognition of the truth, so that we can begin saving the people who are not lucky.
Any effort to work toward #TeamHeadsOnPikes to prevent the next one of these incidents from happening, is a separate problem I leave for others. I’m a bit too good at forgiving.
TL;DR – There has been plenty of data telling us that the jabs are problematic, but now we are faced with very clear proof that CDC must easily see in their own data, yet pretends not to see. Combine these two memes.
The illogical arguments conceal real goals and tactics.
Buckle up. They know we know, and they have a plan for it.

Carbon Dioxide Is Life’s Friend and Savior
TL;DR – This graph shows terrestrial life’s remarkably high tolerance for carbon dioxide (which is basically recirculating plant life), but poor tolerance of meteoric impacts during times of low CO2 and preliminary glaciation. We are being severely gaslit, to see climate science backwards, and to operate from reflexive fears which prevent full, true and larger understanding.
The graph you see above is NOT the first one that I saw, which blew my mind, but it’s very similar. The one I saw was basically the orange line, and may have been GEOCARB III or a comparable study. It had the exact same principle features, which told me the same things.
Apparently I missed the “mass formation psychosis” in climate science, and just happened to walk in with my “They Live” glasses on.
Let me state for the record that “I am neither a professional geologist nor an earth scientist, but I have loved the subjects my whole life, and I can read a graph.”
More crucially, I have always been an “allied science fan” of geology and earth science – in part because earth chemistry and earth biology happen on this wonderful planet called Earth. Follow either of these sciences back to the basics, and earth science matters.
Back to the graph.
It’s worth explaining the basics of the scale across the bottom, which is time.
We are at the very end of the graph – a slice so thin that our lives will not show up even under a magnifier. Bring out a microscope and see a tiny hair’s breadth under it. That’s us.
We are at the most recent edge of the Neogene – which is the N on the bottom of the graph. That N is 23 million years. The “preparatory ancestry” of anything strongly resembling our kind easily fits into that, as best as we can tell. You might call it “the age of man“, where man includes pre-men and barely men.
Probably even these guys and gals.
Humans trying to understand climate science.
Next to the left is the Paleogene, abbreviated Pg. This is the “age of mammals“. You will note that while it is much bigger than the Neogene, it is still a VERY SMALL fraction of the history of life on the planet.
Let’s blow it up a bit, using a DIFFERENT type of graph, which is more of a timeline. More recent is at the top.
The three most significant climate events of that time period are on the right. They all bear explanation.
First, Antarctica got its first RECENT permanent ice sheets only a bit over 50 million years ago, near the END of this prior period, and the start of the “age of man”. When you see NOVA specials about Antarctic dinosaurs, or read about fossil specimens from Antarctica, this is why you see them. Antarctica used to be WARM, and gradually cooled down.
Interestingly, Antarctica has never* (*not settled) strayed far from the South Pole. It has not wandered “north-south” as much as many other land masses.
LIFE has at most times covered the entire globe. Life had not RETREATED from the poles to the extent that is has now. Indeed, polar life may have assisted in recovery from some mass extinctions, where prompt damage occurred primarily at the middle latitudes due to normal circulation patterns.
Next, look at the event called “PETM”, which stands for Paleocene–Eocene Thermal Maximum. It’s actually a SPIKE that looks like the thin spike in THIS graph.
This graph is looking at global temperatures (green curve) as determined from oxygen isotopes, VERSUS time, across the “age of mammals”. Recent is on the right.
WOW. Will you look at how much temperatures have fallen. And look at that crazy chaotic glaciation in the lower right, flirting repeatedly with the snowball Earth of the Permian Extinction (to be discussed in a bit).
I don’t know about y’all, but if I had to be concerned about something, it might be that.
TL;DR – it is impossible to look a graphs which show life bottoming hard against planetary freeze, in the big picture of carbon dioxide (recirculating plant life) bottoming hard in conjunction, and walk away with any true sympathy for worries about increasing CO2 and warming. CO2 in times of its relative absence is either not a problem, or a “good problem”. It appears to me that a cultivated science error has been used to create a social hysteria and then a mass formation psychosis.
In a sense, we are ALL the “polar bears of the dinosaurs”. Is that a good thing? I think it’s worth asking, even just theoretically, never implying the need to “do something” about it.
Anyway, that little SPIKE you see in the spiky curve to the left, is an actual example of a “climate change crisis”. It was probably due to sudden period of massive volcanic activity throwing a bunch of CO2 into the air, although that’s not “settled science”. If there was a weird “solar excursion”, or undersea heating of the oceans (see extremely useful “non-eruptive volcanism” proposals by TES for part of recent global warming), then it could have been something else. Whatever it was, it seems to have been sharp enough to have probably been a single thing.
Note also that Earth got to the same point some years later, anyway.
Don’t fear the seasons. They’re not the reaper.
Lastly, we see in the timeline, at the beginning of the Paleogene, the K-Pg mass extinction, (also called, in its evidentiary form, the K-T boundary) which was almost certainly due to an asteroid impact, but possibly also reinforced by subsequent volcanism.
You may recall Steve’s post about this, but if you don’t, then take a quick detour and refresh your memory on the details.
4.567 billion years ago, our solar system began to “condense” from the nebula. Clumps of dust particles began to come together, part of a poorly-understood process that eventually led to the planets. The nebula had a potpourri of “stuff” in it. Mostly elements up to iron, with a heavy leavening of ones after iron, created in supernovas or even neutron star collisions. (Most gold is believed to have come out of neutron star collisions…next time you admire that gold coin or your wedding band…think about where that stuff has been! Any of it not from a collision got blasted out of a supernova at 70,000,000 miles per hour.)……
Steve explained that while most of paleontology favors the “impact theory”, there has been a long-standing volcanic theory of the extinction, and even a group who believes that BOTH theories are not only correct, but connected.
With my taste for “AND logic”, you can predict where I would most likely fall in that debate – in the “it’s both of them, and they’re connected” camp.
Does that sound sketchy? Maybe a little too much of a coincidence? Is Wolf going out on a limb here?
Notice that by mentioning that Steve had mentioned this “theory of both”, I used PEER INFLUENCE to change your minds. Now I will use MSM acceptance to further change your minds.
TL;DR – Theories about impacts leading to increased volcanism also implicated in extinctions, are quite appealing to me, personally, as a kind of “general volcanism” (impact + rebound), but the whole thing is NOT settled science by any means. Just remember what I always say about “AND logic”. It solves scientific divisions, too.
But wait – I want to make a point about the Fake News in action, spinning science to keep it divided.
Yes, you see the “AND” logic right in the title. And if you read the article, the whole point is that there is increasing evidence of a causal connection between the impact and the volcanism.
But notice the wording in the title versus the subtitle. The title tells you, but does not emphasize, that the conjoint, causatively connected, unified theory brings two scientific camps together, both being correct. Then the subtitle tries to shift things over to one of the explanations, and to minimize the role of the impact.
“The 160 million-year reign of the ‘terrible lizards’ may actually have ended due to events in India rather than an asteroid crashing into the sea off the coast of Mexico as previously thought“
“RATHER THAN”?
“Rather than” an asteroid the size of Mount Everest?
It’s very clear folks – THEY WANT YOU DIVIDED.
By now you know, it’s just what they do. DIVIDE AND CONQUER. Indeed, I tend to think it’s what they’re TRAINED to do.
The FAKE NEWS controls science FAR MORE than most scientists are willing to admit.
But let’s get back to our story of the unified theory of impact AND rebound volcanism.
The primary CLIMATIC effects of the asteroid impact are believed to have been blast heating, followed by an “impact winter”, followed by chaotic climate, possibly including a greenhouse due to vaporized CO2 and SO2, followed by the same thing from further classic volcanism. The whole planet was definitely MESSED UP.
TL;DR –
HOT (impact). COLD (darkness). HOT AGAIN (greenhouse).
Then repeat the latter two for post-impact volcanism.
A constant, unified pattern of impact extinctions, layered on the preexisting, livable climate, at a surprisingly wide range of levels of carbon dioxide.
So what was there before that?
THE DINOSAURS. That is “K”, the Cretaceous Period (in English).
You will notice that T (or Tr), J and K are the three big periods of the dinosaurs with which most of us are familiar – the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous.
Let’s look at our graph again.
Yes. This “age of dinosaurs” was a period of warm temperatures and high carbon dioxide. Both much higher than what we have now, but – bear with me – there was a lot of LIFE, too – am I not right?
Well, what’s that stuff to the LEFT of the “age of dinosaurs” – around the end of “C” (Carboniferous) and the beginning of “P” (Permian – the “age of reptiles”)?
Why, it looks like low carbon dioxide, almost as low as we have now. In FACT, if you look even further back in time to the left – at the ages of sea organisms (Cm, O, S), fishes (D), and amphibians (C), what you’re basically seeing is a CRASH of carbon dioxide, ending in LOW CO2 around C and P.
And interesting that this slide had already resulted in massive glaciation of the planet, which existed at the beginning of the Permian.
Interesting that there were THREE BIG EXTINCTIONS along that slide, at O, D, and finally at P.
There is a LOT of debate about these extinctions, and particularly the near-total Permian (P) Extinction, also sometimes known as the P-T extinction event, because it occurred at the END of the Permian and the beginning of the Triassic.
Of course, global warming explanations of this event are favored by the single-minded corporate media, but IMO some of the best theories of the P-T extinction are actually based on an “iceball Earth” scenario, for which there is some interesting geological evidence.
The idea that an already glaciated Earth (Permian) was sent into deep freeze by an impact and response volcanism makes sense, and we would expect the extinctions to be more extensive than with the less glaciated or non-glaciated Cretaceous extinction of the dinosaurs, which happened to a generally warmer planet, thus sparing mammals and birds.
TL;DR – As the most significant extinctions have occurred at times of low CO2 and high glaciation, the main danger to life on Earth seems not to be global warming from CO2, which protects life from near-total extinctions. The main threat is solar blocking (see Bill Gates) and deep cooling, caused by meteoric impacts and rebound volcanism, which is more dangerous during times of low CO2 and high glaciation, like now or during the Permian Extinction.
In fact, I find the idea that we can use a single extinction mechanism repeatedly – a mechanism of “impact plus response volcanism, leading to plant death and further crises”, with the differences in outcome depending upon the size and location of the impact, plus the prior state of the climate, to be very satisfying – particularly in explaining why we find evidence for ALL of the various divided theories.
Furthermore, if response volcanism is a correct theory, then the general warmth and higher carbon dioxide of the “age of dinosaurs” may be explained by a truly massive impact being not only the cause of the P-T extinction, but also creating hundreds of millions of years of increased volcanism in its wake.
But all of that is debatable.
The big picture is this. Look at the graph again.
TL;DR – The Earth has supported life easily for eons because of MORE carbon dioxide, not less. There is no “climate emergency”, and certainly not one related to increasing carbon dioxide for ANY reason at this point. If anything, incipient normal solar cooling and periodic ice age glaciation are actual climate concerns for society. But that is another story for another time.
One More Bit of Mood Music
(Real World by Matchbox 20)
Green Energy Is Pol Pot Madness
TL;DR – Even if there was a “climate emergency” (which there is not, see above), and even if “green energy” worked (which it does not, see graph), and even if green energy could “save the environment” (which it absolutely does the opposite, due to energy density fundamentals), what we are doing by forcing a sudden transition to a non-working energy infrastructure, is so utterly preposterous, wrong, and irrational, that it must be stopped.
This graph is the smoking gun of an intentional civilizational crash. It is our duty to grab the steering wheel and stop it.
This graph is probably the simplest to explain because it does not depend on the truth or falsehood of the underlying bad science that has been used to justify what is being done now.
There are some things you just don’t do.
It’s like an insane person coming into your house screaming “DANGER, DANGER” and pointing a gun at you. Even if there is some reason, it doesn’t matter – an insane person is pointing a gun at you, and THAT is the immediate danger. The evil person or people who SENT the insane person to your house must be dealt with, too, or this will keep happening. But that can happen after we survive the insane attack.
Humanity is being “swatted” by people made insane by – you guessed it – mass formation psychosis.
TL;DR – One cannot move humanity from the top curve in red, to the bottom curve in yellow, without killing most of them. It’s impossible. It means poverty, chaos, and destruction. The closest thing to what “somebody” is forcing on the West, is what China and the CIA did the the people of Cambodia, using the highly deluded Khmer Rouge, who insisted that all Cambodians had to leave cities and become agrarian.
Khmer Rouge Flag (Pol Pot)
Forcing humanity to “quit realistic energy now” is perfectly analogous to Pol Pot saying “We all have to become farmers now” at gunpoint, which killed millions of Cambodians in a horror of totalitarian brutality and systematic societal error.
If you don’t think we have a deluded set of Americans who could carry this out, just look at Antifa, filled with mentally ill “trans” males, all of them “politically fluid” and ready to serve the craziest causes, and then politically reverse on orders, the very next day. Antifa is being protected by the DOJ and FBI, which are also ready to stop or hinder any groups which oppose Antifa.
Now you can understand why Antifa and FBI helped each other on January Sixth.
They’re both on the same side – the side of the genocide.
And now Biden wants 87,000 federal “IRS Police”?
What this graph shows is the equivalent of telling a patient addicted to barbiturates that they must quit cold turkey, which is always fatal.
It’s like telling a lifelong juvenile diabetic that they must quit insulin NOW because insulin didn’t come from their own pancreas, and so it’s “foreign”, and no good. They must transition to “mRNA injections in the pancreas” right now! RIGHT NOW!!!
Yup. It is THAT insane – that malevolent – to say “quit all non-green energy now”. To even say “do it in the next century” is foolishness of historic proportions.
We are already seeing the effects of the insanity in the beginning energy problems we are having now. But we have seen NOTHING yet.
Add to THAT insanity, what amounts to yet another foolish collectivization of agriculture, which “error” of communism has repeatedly killed millions, in the Soviet Union and China, as well as in Cambodia, and you can see that the errors of a misled scientific elite are always catastrophic, whether intentional or accidental.
TL;DR – Eisenhower predicted that, in addition to the military industrial complex (MIC), a scientific and technological elite (STE) would become a danger to America and the world, and he even understood and predicted that this very moment might arrive.
If you have time (16 minutes), this presentation is critical to understanding the moment. Every second is worth hearing.
If you get the sense that somebody of malevolent intent was listening to Eisenhower’s speech, and began figuring out how to sabotage his vision of balance and sense, by pursuing a course to enhance and take advantage of precisely the dangers that Eisenhower warned about, then you are not alone.
Three days from now, after half a century in the service of our country, I shall lay down the responsibilities of office as, in traditional and solemn ceremony, the authority of the Presidency is vested in my successor.
This evening I come to you with a message of leave-taking and farewell, and to share a few final thoughts with you, my countrymen.
Like every other citizen, I wish the new President, and all who will labor with him, Godspeed. I pray that the coming years will be blessed with peace and prosperity for all.
Our people expect their President and the Congress to find essential agreement on issues of great moment, the wise resolution of which will better shape the future of the Nation.
My own relations with the Congress, which began on a remote and tenuous basis when, long ago, a member of the Senate appointed me to West Point, have since ranged to the intimate during the war and immediate post-war period, and, finally, to the mutually interdependent during these past eight years.
In this final relationship, the Congress and the Administration have, on most vital issues, cooperated well, to serve the national good rather than mere partisanship, and so have assured that the business of the Nation should go forward. So, my official relationship with the Congress ends in a feeling, on my part, of gratitude that we have been able to do so much together.

We now stand ten years past the midpoint of a century that has witnessed four major wars among great nations. Three of these involved our own country. Despite these holocausts America is today the strongest, the most influential and most productive nation in the world. Understandably proud of this pre-eminence, we yet realize that America’s leadership and prestige depend, not merely upon our unmatched material progress, riches and military strength, but on how we use our power in the interests of world peace and human betterment.
******
Throughout America’s adventure in free government, our basic purposes have been to keep the peace; to foster progress in human achievement, and to enhance liberty, dignity and integrity among people and among nations. To strive for less would be unworthy of a free and religious people. Any failure traceable to arrogance, or our lack of comprehension or readiness to sacrifice would inflict upon us grievous hurt both at home and abroad.
Progress toward these noble goals is persistently threatened by the conflict now engulfing the world. It commands our whole attention, absorbs our very beings. We face a hostile ideology-global in scope, atheistic in character, ruthless in purpose, and insidious in method. Unhappily the danger it poses promises to be of indefinite duration. To meet it successfully, there is called for, not so much the emotional and transitory sacrifices of crisis, but rather those which enable us to carry forward steadily, surely, and without complaint the burdens of a prolonged and complex struggle-with liberty at stake. Only thus shall we remain, despite every provocation, on our charted course toward permanent peace and human betterment.
Crises there will continue to be. In meeting them, whether foreign or domestic, great or small, there is a recurring temptation to feel that some spectacular and costly action could become the miraculous solution to all current difficulties. A huge increase in newer elements of our defense; development of unrealistic programs to cure every ill in agriculture; a dramatic expansion in basic and applied research-these and many other possibilities, each possibly promising in itself, may be suggested as the only way to the road we which to travel.
But each proposal must be weighed in the light of a broader consideration: the need to maintain balance in and among national programs-balance between the private and the public economy, balance between cost and hoped for advantage-balance between the clearly necessary and the comfortably desirable; balance between our essential requirements as a nation and the duties imposed by the nation upon the individual; balance between action of the moment and the national welfare of the future. Good judgment seeks balance and progress; lack of it eventually finds imbalance and frustration.
The record of many decades stands as proof that our people and their government have, in the main, understood these truths and have responded to them well, in the face of stress and threat. But threats, new in kind or degree, constantly arise. I mention two only.
******
A vital element in keeping the peace is our military establishment. Our arms must be mighty, ready for instant action, so that no potential aggressor may be tempted to risk his own destruction.
Our military organization today bears little relation to that known by any of my predecessors in peace time, or indeed by the fighting men of World War II or Korea.
Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United State corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence-economic, political, even spiritual-is felt in every city, every state house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.
In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.
We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together.
Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.
In this revolution, research has become central; it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.
Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been over shadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.
The prospect of domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.
Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.
It is the task of statesmanship to mold, to balance, and to integrate these and other forces, new and old, within the principles of our democratic system-ever aiming toward the supreme goals of our free society.
******
Another factor in maintaining balance involves the element of time. As we peer into society’s future, we-you and I, and our government-must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering, for our own ease and convenience, the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow.
******
Down the long lane of the history yet to be written America knows that this world of ours, ever growing smaller, must avoid becoming a community of dreadful fear and hate, and be, instead, a proud confederation of mutual trust and respect.
Such a confederation must be one of equals. The weakest must come to the conference table with the same confidence as do we, protected as we are by our moral, economic, and military strength. That table, though scarred by many past frustrations, cannot be abandoned for the certain agony of the battlefield.
Disarmament, with mutual honor and confidence, is a continuing imperative. Together we must learn how to compose difference, not with arms, but with intellect and decent purpose. Because this need is so sharp and apparent I confess that I lay down my official responsibilities in this field with a definite sense of disappointment. As one who has witnessed the horror and the lingering sadness of war-as one who knows that another war could utterly destroy this civilization which has been so slowly and painfully built over thousands of years-I wish I could say tonight that a lasting peace is in sight.
Happily, I can say that war has been avoided. Steady progress toward our ultimate goal has been made. But, so much remains to be done. As a private citizen, I shall never cease to do what little I can to help the world advance along that road.
******
So-in this my last good night to you as your President-I thank you for the many opportunities you have given me for public service in war and peace. I trust that in that service you find somethings worthy; as for the rest of it, I know you will find ways to improve performance in the future.
You and I-my fellow citizens-need to be strong in our faith that all nations, under God, will reach the goal of peace with justice. May we be ever unswerving in devotion to principle, confident but humble with power, diligent in pursuit of the Nation’s great goals.
To all the peoples of the world, I once more give expression to America’s prayerful and continuing inspiration:
We pray that peoples of all faiths, all races, all nations, may have their great human needs satisfied; that those now denied opportunity shall come to enjoy it to the full; that all who yearn for freedom may experience its spiritual blessings; that those who have freedom will understand, also, its heavy responsibilities; that all who are insensitive to the needs of others will learn charity; that the scourges of poverty, disease and ignorance will be made to disappear from the earth, and that, in the goodness of time, all peoples will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love.

State party chairs, vice chairs, secretaries and so on, and the same at county levels, have huge influence on who ultimately gets nominated, and if these party wheelhouses are RINOs, they will work tirelessly to put their own pukey people on the ballot.

Biden Gives Us Too Much Credit
…we can move on to the next one.

How Two Fallen Theories of Medicine May Herald the Fate of Global Warming / Climate Change
Bad science does not stand forever, but it may stand long enough for people to make a lot of money on it. THAT will be the THEME of the three huge science scandals I’m going to discuss.
In case you’re short on time, the TLDR…..
TL;DR – Two fresh scandals showing how industry money and scientific misconduct kept bad theories “alive” for decades, may explain why the bad science behind politically useful climate alarmism persists.
I. Serotonin Uber Alles
The “serotonin scandal” is very diffuse, which is why it’s in many ways analogous to “climate change”. The bottom line is that what the pharmaceutical industry tells patients about antidepressants, and what scientists know about antidepressants, are not the same thing.
It’s best to start off with the following Tucker Carlson video.
An extremely important selling point of antidepressants, used by both doctors and the pharmaceutical industry, is the idea that people who are depressed, and therefore “need” to take them, actually have some kind of chemical imbalance in their brain that needs to be fixed. More often than any other chemical alleged to be “imbalanced” is serotonin – and hence the emergence of SSRIs, meaning serotonin-selective reuptake inhibitors.
Carlson’s centerpiece is a recent metaanalysis of antidepressant research which showed there is little or no evidence for this “chemical imbalance” assertion.
Antidepressants may work in some people, and thank God they do, but IF they do, and WHEN they do, the simple “chemical imbalance theory” is probably not the reason why.
There is a very good explanation of the study HERE:
No evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin levels, finds comprehensive review
After decades of study, there remains no clear evidence that serotonin levels or serotonin activity are responsible for depression, according to a major review of prior research led by UCL scientists.
The new umbrella review – an overview of existing meta-analyses and systematic reviews – published in Molecular Psychiatry, suggests that depression is not likely caused by a chemical imbalance, and calls into question what antidepressants do. Most antidepressants are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which were originally said to work by correcting abnormally low serotonin levels. There is no other accepted pharmacological mechanism by which antidepressants affect the symptoms of depression.
Lead author Professor Joanna Moncrieff, a Professor of Psychiatry at UCL and a consultant psychiatrist at North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), said: “It is always difficult to prove a negative, but I think we can safely say that after a vast amount of research conducted over several decades, there is no convincing evidence that depression is caused by serotonin abnormalities, particularly by lower levels or reduced activity of serotonin.
“The popularity of the ‘chemical imbalance’ theory of depression has coincided with a huge increase in the use of antidepressants. Prescriptions for antidepressants have risen dramatically since the 1990s, with one in six adults in England and 2% of teenagers now being prescribed an antidepressant in a given year.
“Many people take antidepressants because they have been led to believe their depression has a biochemical cause, but this new research suggests this belief is not grounded in evidence.”
Just for the record, I am personally NOT a fan of these sorts of “metaanalysis” papers. In my opinion they tend to be QUASI-OPINIONS with a veneer of science. However, in my own opinion, metaanalyses can be useful when highly conclusive or by reinterpreting data – but should be trusted even less than normal observational science.
Now – it is important to point out that this metaanalysis is not actually telling us anything NEW. Most scientists in the field ALREADY KNEW from all the various studies that were looked at by the metaanalysis, that the simple “chemical imbalance” idea was a load of crap. They’ve known this for YEARS.
REALLY? Yes. Really.
A good description of the state of things is here:
A Popular Theory About Depression Wasn’t “Debunked” by a New Review
The title is a bit deceptive – at least more so than the link which adds “it got debunked years ago”. Ah, the techniques of clickbait!
Anyway, the title could rightfully say:
A Still-Popular But Unproven Old Theory About Depression Wasn’t “Debunked” By A New Review – It Was Simply Confirmed To STILL Be Unsupported By The Data, Despite Being Pushed For Decades By Doctors And Big Pharma Who KNEW It Wasn’t True
Please click the link if you want all the details, but my proposed title says it all. People kept using the theory as a sales and prescription gimmick. Big Pharma “suggested” the theory to doctors, and doctors “suggested” the theory to patients, to get them to take a kind of drug that patients are sometimes very resistant to taking.
Remember – antidepressants do, in fact, work for many patients – particularly for very serious cases of depression. Many people who in the past had to be hospitalized, can now live happy, functional lives in society because of these drugs.
It’s understandable that doctors try to convince patients to take the drugs they think will work to treat their problems.
But should your kids be getting antidepressants because of “school trouble”?
A whole ‘nuther question.
Because THAT is the end result of the little white lie that “people can have an imbalance that needs these drugs.”
We NORMALIZED antidepressents by NORMALIZING an ABNORMALITY that didn’t even exist.
ANYWAY – if the very fact that a WRONG THEORY has been KNOWINGLY spoon-fed to you by “the experts” for DECADES, is not giving you ideas about “climate change” – particularly in the post-COVID world…..
BUT WAIT.
Not quite yet. We have ANOTHER scandal to look at, first.
II. It’s Bush’s Beta Amyloid’s Fault!
This scandal is at the opposite end of the spectrum, from the above one, in which an entire industry and all of medicine KNOWINGLY told a little white lie to the public.
In this case, ONE SCIENTIST tipped the scales inappropriately, sending the entire world, including the rest of science, on a wild goose chase.
The LIE was only caught after years, and almost accidentally.
This is a rather long and interesting story, and I’m not going to recount it all here. But I will give you links and extensive quotes. It’s FASCINATING.
One of the best quick summaries is in, of all places, The Daily Kos.
Last month, drug company Genentech reported on the first clinical trials of the drug crenezumab, a drug targeting amyloid proteins that form sticky plaques in the brains of Alzheimer’s disease patients. The drug had been particularly effective in animal models, and the trial results were eagerly awaited as one of the most promising treatments in years. It did not work. “Crenezumab did not slow or prevent cognitive decline” in people with a predisposition toward Alzheimer’s.
Last year, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) narrowly approved the use of Aduhelm, a new drug from Biogen that the company has priced so highly that it’s expected to drive up the price of Medicare for everyone in America, even those who never need this drug. Aduhelm was the first drug to be approved that fights the accumulation of those “amyloid plaques” in the brain. What makes the approval of the $56,000-a-dose drug so controversial is that while it does decrease plaques, it doesn’t actually slow Alzheimer’s. In fact, clinical trials were suspended in 2019 after the treatment showed “no clinical benefits.” (Which did not keep Biogen from seeking the drug’s approval or pricing it astronomically.)
Over the last two decades, Alzheimer’s drugs have been notable mostly for having a 99% failure rate in human trials. It’s not unusual for drugs that are effective in vitro and in animal models to turn out to be less than successful when used in humans, but Alzheimer’s has a record that makes the batting average in other areas look like Hall of Fame material.
And now we have a good idea of why. Because it looks like the original paper that established the amyloid plaque model as the foundation of Alzheimer’s research over the last 16 years might not just be wrong, but a deliberate fraud.
This story is fantastic, and so I recommend starting with the above Daily Kos article.
Before going into more detail, let me begin to give you my perspective on Alzheimer’s drugs.
I’ve watched a lot of drug classes accumulate new and improved drugs over nearly half a century of interest in the topic, but the TWO categories that have stood out to ME as the WORST in terms of success have been antivirals and Alzheimer’s drugs.
Antivirals first.
As you have seen over the last two and a half years, antivirals are not impossible to find, and while they don’t work 100% of the time, they’re still sometimes VERY helpful.
What has been more shocking to me is that it’s clear that the pharmaceutical industry frequently and reliably OPPOSES successful antivirals, when they can’t make money off them. The industry wants NEW antivirals they can patent, and they are willing to DEFAME and DENY old antivirals, even SUPERIOR and SAFER antivirals, just to create a market for new ones.
New antivirals that may be CRAP, and dangerous as hell. And they will even LIE to the Commander In Chief about them.
But set the antivirals aside for now, knowing that the situation is corrupt.
Anti-Alzheimer’s drugs are even worse, because THEY JUST DON’T WORK. They’re notorious for not actually working. They’ve never worked. In desperation, the FDA occasionally approves these worthless drugs, if only for investigation, but they are “mercy punts”. The drugs get approved, as long as they don’t show too many side effects, because they are “better than nothing”. But that’s it.
The drugs out there for dementia, senility and Alzheimer’s are WORTHLESS.
A LOT of people thought this was suspicious. I was one of them. Every once in a while, when researchers would reveal just how BAD the next drug actually was – how terrible and limited the results were – I would “go back to my mental drawing board” and ask the question:
“Why don’t these drugs work? Maybe the theory behind them is wrong. What could the truth possibly be?”
HA! I had no idea! No clue!
NOBODY – and I mean nobody – suspected that it was because of FRAUD.
At least, not until recently.
So let’s move on to the fraud in more detail. SCIENCE MAGAZINE.
I am including a long segment which is just the beginning of the article. Please note an important point – the investigator was actually looking at a DIFFERENT fraud in the same field of Alzheimer’s research, when he found this one.
BLOTS ON A FIELD?
A neuroscience image sleuth finds signs of fabrication in scores of Alzheimer’s articles, threatening a reigning theory of the disease
In August 2021, Matthew Schrag, a neuroscientist and physician at Vanderbilt University, got a call that would plunge him into a maelstrom of possible scientific misconduct. A colleague wanted to connect him with an attorney investigating an experimental drug for Alzheimer’s disease called Simufilam. The drug’s developer, Cassava Sciences, claimed it improved cognition, partly by repairing a protein that can block sticky brain deposits of the protein amyloid beta (Aβ), a hallmark of Alzheimer’s. The attorney’s clients—two prominent neuroscientists who are also short sellers who profit if the company’s stock falls—believed some research related to Simufilam may have been “fraudulent,” according to a petition later filed on their behalf with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Schrag, 37, a softspoken, nonchalantly rumpled junior professor, had already gained some notoriety by publicly criticizing the controversial FDA approval of the anti-Aβ drug Aduhelm. His own research also contradicted some of Cassava’s claims. He feared volunteers in ongoing Simufilam trials faced risks of side effects with no chance of benefit.
So he applied his technical and medical knowledge to interrogate published images about the drug and its underlying science—for which the attorney paid him $18,000. He identified apparently altered or duplicated images in dozens of journal articles. The attorney reported many of the discoveries in the FDA petition, and Schrag sent all of them to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which had invested tens of millions of dollars in the work. (Cassava denies any misconduct [see sidebar, below].)
But Schrag’s sleuthing drew him into a different episode of possible misconduct, leading to findings that threaten one of the most cited Alzheimer’s studies of this century and numerous related experiments.
The first author of that influential study, published in Nature in 2006, was an ascending neuroscientist: Sylvain Lesné of the University of Minnesota (UMN), Twin Cities. His work underpins a key element of the dominant yet controversial amyloid hypothesis of Alzheimer’s, which holds that Aβ clumps, known as plaques, in brain tissue are a primary cause of the devastating illness, which afflicts tens of millions globally. In what looked like a smoking gun for the theory and a lead to possible therapies, Lesné and his colleagues discovered an Aβ subtype and seemed to prove it caused dementia in rats. If Schrag’s doubts are correct, Lesné’s findings were an elaborate mirage.
Schrag, who had not publicly revealed his role as a whistleblower until this article, avoids the word “fraud” in his critiques of Lesné’s work and the Cassava-related studies and does not claim to have proved misconduct. That would require access to original, complete, unpublished images and in some cases raw numerical data. “I focus on what we can see in the published images, and describe them as red flags, not final conclusions,” he says. “The data should speak for itself.”
A 6-month investigation by Science provided strong support for Schrag’s suspicions and raised questions about Lesné’s research. A leading independent image analyst and several top Alzheimer’s researchers—including George Perry of the University of Texas, San Antonio, and John Forsayeth of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)—reviewed most of Schrag’s findings at Science’s request. They concurred with his overall conclusions, which cast doubt on hundreds of images, including more than 70 in Lesné’s papers. Some look like “shockingly blatant” examples of image tampering, says Donna Wilcock, an Alzheimer’s expert at the University of Kentucky.
The authors “appeared to have composed figures by piecing together parts of photos from different experiments,” says Elisabeth Bik, a molecular biologist and well-known forensic image consultant. “The obtained experimental results might not have been the desired results, and that data might have been changed to … better fit a hypothesis.”
Early this year, Schrag raised his doubts with NIH and journals including Nature; two, including Nature last week, have published expressions of concern about papers by Lesné. Schrag’s work, done independently of Vanderbilt and its medical center, implies millions of federal dollars may have been misspent on the research—and much more on related efforts. Some Alzheimer’s experts now suspect Lesné’s studies have misdirected Alzheimer’s research for 16 years.
“The immediate, obvious damage is wasted NIH funding and wasted thinking in the field because people are using these results as a starting point for their own experiments,” says Stanford University neuroscientist Thomas Südhof, a Nobel laureate and expert on Alzheimer’s and related conditions.
Lesné did not respond to requests for comment. A UMN spokesperson says the university is reviewing complaints about his work.
To Schrag, the two disputed threads of Aβ research raise far-reaching questions about scientific integrity in the struggle to understand and cure Alzheimer’s. Some adherents of the amyloid hypothesis are too uncritical of work that seems to support it, he says. “Even if misconduct is rare, false ideas inserted into key nodes in our body of scientific knowledge can warp our understanding.”
This article goes deeply into the fraud. It’s a great detective story. It raises a whole bunch of tangential issues.
For starters, the fact that you are even hearing about this is because the investigator (Matthew Schrag) didn’t wait for NIH to do anything – particularly after it AWARDED MORE MONEY TO THE FRAUDSTER.
Yes – you got that right.
He [Lesné] became a leader of UMN’s neuroscience graduate program in 2020, and in May 2022, 4 months after Schrag delivered his concerns to NIH, Lesné received a coveted R01 grant from the agency, with up to 5 years of support. The NIH program officer for the grant, Austin Yang—a co-author on the 2006 Nature paper—declined to comment.
Notice how the “revolving door” nature of the science is on display. “Insiders” who are buddies with and coworkers of “outsiders”, give those outsiders the precious grants.
However, Schrag was not caught with his pants down by NIH “Comeyism” (failure to discipline friends). Schrag had also taken his evidence to Science magazine. SMART MOVE. But then, it appears that Schrag was raised by Mennonites, home-schooled, and in the military. Interesting.
More from the Science article:
IN HIS WHISTLEBLOWER REPORT to NIH about Lesné’s research, Schrag made its scope and stakes clear: “[This] dossier is a fraction of the anomalies easily visible on review of the publicly accessible data,” he wrote. The suspect work “not only represents a substantial investment in [NIH] research support, but has been cited … thousands of times and thus has the potential to mislead an entire field of research.”
The agency’s reply, which Schrag shared with Science, noted that complaints deemed credible will go to the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Research Integrity (ORI) for review. That agency could then instruct grantee universities to investigate prior to a final ORI review, a process that can take years and remains confidential absent an official misconduct finding. To Science, NIH said it takes research misconduct seriously, but otherwise declined to comment.
See how that works? Seriously – you CANNOT trust NIH, any more than you can trust Anthony Fauci.
NOW – things are starting to get interesting as all this news is hitting the mainstream media.
Gil00 brought me a link, in which the most famous coworker of the fraudster, Karen Ashe, finally responded to inquiries. Meanwhile, the fraudster has remained silent publicly. NOTE that in Schrag’s investigation (see below), Ashe was found innocent. ONLY in papers working with Lesné, were any of Ashe’s papers ever found to contain fraudulent images. Ditto for other authors. Lesné was the nexus of the fraud.
BUT the problem WAS spotted long ago, and yet this knowledge never bubbled up to a level of effectiveness in mainstream science. An early French coworker of Lesné found his images suspect, and refused to work with him after that.
From the Science article:
Questions about Lesné’s work are not new. Cell biologist Denis Vivien, a senior scientist at Caen, co-authored five Lesné papers flagged by Schrag or Bik. Vivien defends the validity of those articles, but says he had reason to be wary of Lesné.
Toward the end of Lesné’s time in France, Vivien says they worked together on a paper for Nature Neuroscience involving Aβ. During final revisions, he saw immunostaining images—in which antibodies detect proteins in tissue samples—that Lesné had provided. They looked dubious to Vivien, and he asked other students to replicate the findings. Their efforts failed. Vivien says he confronted Lesné, who denied wrongdoing. Although Vivien lacked “irrefutable proof” of misconduct, he withdrew the paper before publication “to preserve my scientific integrity,” and broke off all contact with Lesné, he says. “We are never safe from a student who would like to deceive us and we must remain vigilant.”
Schrag spot checked papers by Vivien or Ashe without Lesné. He found no anomalies—suggesting Vivien and Ashe were innocent of misconduct.
SO – what does Karen Ashe have to say?
University of Minnesota scientist responds to fraud allegations in Alzheimer’s research
While defending results, U researcher said it is “devastating” that a colleague might have doctored images.
A senior University of Minnesota scientist said it is “devastating” that a colleague might have doctored images to prop up research, but she defended the authenticity of her groundbreaking work on the origins of Alzheimer’s disease.
Dr. Karen Ashe declined to comment about a U investigation into the veracity of studies led by Sylvain Lesné, a neuroscientist she hired and a rising star in the field of Alzheimer’s research. However, she criticized an article in Science magazine that raised concerns this week about Lesné, because she said it confused and exaggerated the effect the U’s work had on downstream drug development to treat Alzheimer’s-related dementia.
“Having worked for decades to understand the cause of Alzheimer disease, so that better treatments can be found for patients, it is devastating to discover that a co-worker may have misled me and the scientific community through the doctoring of images,” Ashe said in an e-mail Friday morning. “It is, however, additionally distressing to find that a major scientific journal has flagrantly misrepresented the implications of my work.”
I’m undecided about this lady. This is a bit of a tangent, but it may be significant.
I trust her to some extent, based on the fact that Schrag found Ashe’s work CLEAN when it was NOT associated with Lesné. In my opinion she’s innocent.
AND YET, Ashe’s background is PERFECT for a two-stepper ChiCom, potentially brought to America as the child of secret socialist sleepers. [NOTE: “Two-steppers” are basically bi-generational spy families, with extreme cover used on the parents to throw off suspicions on the second generation as plants.] Ashe’s background – similar to that of the notorious Vindman twins, is also almost identical to several classic Chinese two-steppers in American media and politics, including relentless Trump character assassin, Weijia Jiang.
Video: Disenguous, pathetic stuff from @CBSNews's @Weijia Jiang, questioning the President's testing motives as suppressing them so as to tamp down case numbers and death tolls and then suggest he's playing politics with reopening state economies while Democratic governors aren't pic.twitter.com/acjiINrXxX
Video: @CBSNews's @Weijia Jiang came back for round two, bashing Trump for talking about testing like it's a "global competition" when so many are dying. Trump replies that she should ask China that question. So the media want Trump to ramp up testing, then hit him when he does?! pic.twitter.com/YYF13b3JrS
And don’t think this is just aimed at Karen Ashe – that I’m just blaming the innocent victim, which she may very well be. Let’s look at Sylvain Lesné. Let’s do a deep dive on the possibility that he was intentionally sabotaging science for more than just personal advancement.
This is just a theory to add to the pile of theories. But it’s a very intriguing theory, with enormous consequences, like – oh, say – “climate change”.
French communists, both agrarian and urban, are THICK in Normandy – where Sylvain Lesné grew up and went to university. The urban centers of Caen, Le Havre, and Rouen are communist strongholds.
You can see that Caen leans even further to the left than “worker’s paradise” Le Havre, where bleak Stalinist architecture rules. The vote against Le Pen was strong in Le Havre, but even stronger in Caen.
There is a reason why communism is persistent in Normandy. Not only is there a regional historical tradition of Jacobin thought – there was aggressive spread of Soviet-style communism to the area by Stalin, both before World War II and afterwards, in the devastation of the Allied liberation.
This was a significant part of the motivation for the Marshall plan – to not let the war feed Stalin’s slow but relentless ambitions, already at work in post-war France.
We already know that French “above-ground” communist Agnès Buzyn, who is weirdly allied with “conservative” Emmanuel Macron, was indicted for a plethora of COVID-19 “mistakes”, in which she seemed to aggressively “do the wrong thing” as COVID-19 began spreading into France.
We here in America are more familiar with one of these aggressive scientific mistakes – the “hiding” of hydroxychloroquine from the public by changing it from OTC to prescription only. (Please note that this “error” was at the bottom of the list, and is not even mentioned around the time of the indictment, which focused more on Buzyn’s downplaying of COVID dangers.)
Now – it’s very instructive to see how the French media (particularly the left-media, but all of it, really) has aggressively covered up for Buzyn on this point, with “fact-checking” in the Snopes style, where there are both clickbait strawmen and evasion on technicalities.
While the FORMAL reclassification of the drug HCQ from OTC to prescription occurred in January of 2020, which would make it seem more vindictive against Didier Raoult, and reactive against the treatment of the disease, that was merely the date of the effective reclassification.
The connection to Didier Raoult is a bit of a red herring, provided largely by his fan base. That is a typical irony useful to disinformation.
It turns out that the reclassification action itself took place in November of 2019. This point is then alleged by the fact-checkers to prove Buzyn’s “innocence”. As we now know, the deepest players in the COVID scam KNOWINGLY took many actions in September, October, and November of 2019.
Thus, in my opinion, these “fact checks” attempting to exonerate Buzyn’s scientific misconduct are in fact even more indicting, and indicative of her premeditated criminality.
Thus, if an analogous theory is correct, that Sylvain Lesné was intending to prop up bad science for more than just his own advancement, then there must be some VALUE in doing so.
Gil00 provided a possible answer to this – in thinking that perhaps there was an immunological connection to the scandal. THAT jumped out at me like a red flag. An immunity connection in Alzheimer’s is not only a known competitor of the beta amyloid theory – it fits in with my recent belief that the entire depopulation plot is connected to and being implemented through a very intentional and surreptitious set of actions leading to a decrease of individual human immunity, to make us EACH more vulnerable.
Thus, Lesné’s actions, which sent the majority of Alzheimer’s research down a primrose path to nowhere, may have been a DIVERSION away from the immunological origins of Alzheimer’s disease.
You know – an origin such as VACCINES.
Yes. Timing is everything.
NOW – even if Ashe and Lesné are completely innocent (and that would include brainwashing by communists), I think this is an EXCELLENT time to look at Alzheimer’s AGAIN, as a potential product of things like viruses and vaccines, which we KNOW can have neurological effects.
Yes. Vaccines which “go wrong” can affect the BRAIN through autoimmune actions.
Just sayin’.
III. Could Global Warming Concern in the Face of an Imminent Mini-Ice Age and an Incipient Full Ice Age Actually be Some Kind of Really Bad Science?
It should now be totally apparent that BAD SCIENCE on a global scale is not just possible – it’s EASY. This is without even bringing in the COVID debacle.
PLANET VULCAN, ANYONE?
You’ve seen it here in part I. BILLIONS of dollars have kept LIES alive and well in pharmaceutical science.
If it pays everybody to tell people there is a chemical imbalance that means they need a drug, it will be done, to sell the drug, or to tell the patient that there is hope. The bad information will be forwarded to doctors, and then to patients, to make those patients feel OK taking the drug. Eventually, it just becomes part of Fake Normal.
Consider (part II) that even a single author on a single scientific paper, followed by a few more images from that author on maybe a few dozen more papers, carrying subtle but convincing false evidence, can send BILLIONS of dollars, maybe tens or hundreds of billions of dollars, down a blind alley.
Not only that – the system will try to keep that money flowing in the same way, even when it is KNOWN by government bureaucrats to be based on faulty data.
Is it impossible that this kind of ERROR could extend to TRILLIONS of dollars?
I mean, who would actually WANT trillions of dollars?
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) were joined by Democratic lawmakers from both the House and Senate on February 7, 2019, to introduce Green New Deal legislation.
There is NOTHING in “anthropogenic global warming” or “climate change”, explained by the current theories, that cannot be explained equally well by the idea that a carbon dioxide prediction boondoggle (remember COVID models?) has occurred, as the result of BAD SCIENCE.
Indeed, the multiple and long-running FAILURES of the climate field would seem to this “poor” scientist to be rather similar to the FAILURES in anti-Alzheimer’s drugs. This kind of failure SHOULD point to severe theoretical problems in any NORMAL science situation, once freed from TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS of bad economic bets by politicians and financiers.
I remember – PERSONALLY – when we scientists were told by the leadership of the American Chemical Society that “anthropogenic global warming” was “settled science”. I knew MANY scientists in all branches of science – who were all SCIENTIFICALLY AFFECTED by this idea – who were still very actively debating the topic – and who like me were not convinced of AGW being real, true, or important, even if it did exist. The entire enterprise seemed HASTY and WRONG.
It seemed TOP-DOWN. It seemed IMPOSED. It seemed to contradict everything we knew about how science was supposed to operate – with major ideas normally taking YEARS if not DECADES of FIGHTING INSIDE SCIENCE to become crystal clear.
And OH YES – we had TIME.
SO – after reading about these two incidents of WRONG science being perpetuated by industry or academia, both knowingly and unknowingly, I do NOT think that “climate change” should be granted a pass.
I think the whole question of climate needs to “go back to the people”. That includes both SCIENTISTS who tell us WHAT IS FOUND, and THE PEOPLE who tell us WHAT MATTERS, once we find the truth.
Everybody else – the money, the media, the “leaders”, the shills, and the malevolent liars – need to get out of the way.
In particular, the MEDIA that pushes scientists’ opinions around with their “fake normal” and “fake science news” needs to STFU.
Don’t “trust the science”.
LET SCIENCE DISTRUST ITSELF.
And maybe, in fact definitely, YOU THE PEOPLE can help US, THE SCIENTISTS to DISTRUST SCIENCE……
OK, with that rant out of my system…
Biden Gives Us Too Much Credit
…we can move on to the next one.

There’s no question–the traditional precious metals (gold and silver) are getting hammered. The PGMs aren’t getting hit as badly; in fact rhodium is up!
JWST Update (Last One for a While?)
The James Webb Space Telescope has been commissioned. It has returned its first operational pictures. I posted them on Tuesday.
The science mission now begins. This will run, hopefully, for years. They plan on getting ten years out of the telescope. But NASA either fails spectacularly coming out of the gate, or ends up running missions for far longer than expected (the Voyager probes are closing in on fifty years). Since the first didn’t happen…well, we can look forward to all sorts of interesting stuff!
What do we expect? Well, we hope to look further back in time, to the formation of the very first stars–those are expected to be different from anything around today because they formed from almost pure hydrogen and helium; no recycled “burned” fusion products as every star today is made from. The idea is these will probably have been gigantic stars and maybe we’ll learn something about those supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies.
I’m going to go way out in front of my skis here and ask if perhaps those supermassive black holes are remnants of first stars, and the galaxies formed around them rather than them forming after the galaxies did. (Hopefully my faceplant will be entertaining. Any real astrophysicist reading this is probably rolling on the floor laughing at some elementary idiocy in what I just said.)
Another thing JWST hopes to do is look at exoplanets. We know of hundreds of them indirectly; now we finally have a tool that might be able to see something directly.
Of course, it stands ready to investigate the next unscheduled “kaboom.” If there’s a supernova nearby you can bet JWST will be on it. SN 1987A (which wasn’t exactly nearby but you could see it with the naked eye so it wasn’t that far away either) happened before Hubble. Generally about 10 or 20 percent of the time on the telescope is not allocated ahead of time just in case something crops up. With Hubble the scientist who administered it got to assign that time to whatever he wanted (with the understanding that if something big happens unexpectedly, he’ll drop what he’s doing and use his time on that). Of course the truly unexpected is…well, unexpected, so we can’t know what will come of it.
But the larger point is, we actually do not know what JWST will discover; we have a list of what it will investigate. If we did know what it would discover, we wouldn’t need it! We have questions we can use JWST on, but no answers. When we have answers…they will lead to questions we couldn’t even think to ask today. That’s real science. (Quite unlike the crap that goes on in medical research.)
Meanwhile, I am going to have to find something else to write about, at least until some results come in. A scientist granted time on JWST generally has some set period of time where s/he has exclusive access to the data, so they can write their paper and publish. Then it’s opened up to everyone.
So I don’t expect to see news reports about what “JWST has found” for at least a little while.
You Read It Here First
Slate (okay, I’ll pause while you vomit…OK, better now?) has an article about false-color images from JWST:
Whoever ends up in the cell next to his, tell him I said “Hi.”
中国是个混蛋 !!! Zhōngguò shì gè hùndàn !!! China is asshoe !!!
Recently we all heard of Scotland targeting sheep and cattle for removal. A really STUPID MOVE since they produce food from rocky hilly areas unsuitable for crops. So I thought I had better dust off this article I wrote months ago and publish it. I am not going to make changes since it is mostly looking at a possible future.
The Climate Change (Emissions Reduction Targets) (Scotland) Bill proposes a statutory target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 90% by 2050 (from a 1990 baseline) across the whole Scottish economy. It also allows for a target of 100% reduction in emissions (known as a net zero target) to be created at a future date, from the same baseline. The UK and Scottish Government’s statutory advisers, the Committee on Climate Change (CCC), consider the 90% target to be at the limit of feasibility. The Scottish Government is however under pressure from stakeholders [WHO ARE THESE STAKEHOLDERS? The ReichsWEF??? GC] to set a specific net zero target in the Bill.
The main greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). CH4 and N2O have a significantly higher global warming potential than CO2; in other words, their total warming impact is greater relative to CO2 over a set period. Emissions are reported and predominantly discussed in a common unit of CO2 equivalent (CO2e). Agriculture (including associated land use) is the second largest contributor to Scottish emissions (after transport at 37%), accounting for just over a quarter of Scotland’s total in 2016.
Methane and nitrous oxide are emitted in significant quantities by agriculture. These are inherent in food production due to biological processes and chemical interactions in both livestock and plant growth. Therefore, the approach to mitigating emissions from agriculture differs to most other sectors where CO2 is the overwhelmingly dominant greenhouse gas. As more progress is made in reducing emissions in for example electricity or waste, the relative importance of agriculture in the total Scottish emissions budget grows. The CCC’s latest report for Scotland considers that “the ambition in the agricultural sector and the focus on voluntary measures remains concerning. Agriculture will need to make a greater contribution to meeting emissions targets, especially if Scotland is to meet a netzero target as proposed in the Climate Change Bill”. Emissions from agriculture and related land use have been largely static for 10 years. Livestock emissions account for around 48% of the agricultural total (by CO2e), most of which can be attributed to methane emissions from cattle and sheep.
Agricultural soils and land-use change emissions account for a further 43%. The use of the phrase “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture” …The reality on the ground is that the activities of farmers and land managers both contribute to and sequester greenhouse gases. If farmers are to maintain a headage of livestock, even at a reduced rate, then there will be methane emissions, however this can be balanced by actions elsewhere. ….Recent research on Soil Carbon and Land Use suggests that an improved understanding of CH4 and N2O emissions is likely to lead to greater opportunities for emissions reductions than that provided by solely increasing carbon sequestration through e.g. peatland restoration or tree planting. Multiple opportunities exist to reduce emissions arising on-farm. Many of these will require shifts from business as usual behaviour, and include agroforestry, [So that is what will grow on the grazing land NOT CROPS TO FEED PEOPLE. – GC] restoring peatlands, [PEAT has been used for centuries as a source of heat for homes -GC] soil testing and management to increase carbon capture, changes to cattle feed to reduce enteric emissions, farming breeds and crop varieties that produce less methane, precision agriculture to reduce fertilizer and pesticide use, and DIETARY CHANGE…

The US once had vast grain reserves in silos across the country. Today those grain reserves along with the silos have vanished. This was due to deregulated global markets, globalization, and the 1996 farm bill. That bill abolished our national system of grain reserves. (Thanks DanAmstutz, I hope you are enjoying the flames you so richly deserve.) The reserves in the U.S.D.A. Commodity Credit Corporation were gradually depleted until in 2008 the USDA, in response to the 2008 Food Crisis, declared ‘The Cupboard is Bare’ . Dan Amstutz buddies, the grain traders even responded to the food crisis by writing a letter to President Bush discouraging the replacement of reserves because it would “distort” grain prices, suggesting a monetary fund, from which they could profit, instead.
The Commodity Credit Corporation may sell any farm commodity owned or controlled by the Corporation at any price not prohibited by this section.
(b)Inventories
In determining sales policies for basic agricultural commodities or storable nonbasic commodities, the Corporation should consider the establishment of such policies with respect to prices, terms, and conditions as the Corporation determines will not discourage or deter manufacturers, processors, and dealers from acquiring and carrying normal inventories of the commodity of the current crop.
Recently there have been increased calls for the development of a U.S. or international grain reserve to provide priority access to food supplies for Humanitarian needs. The National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) and the North American Export Grain Association (NAEGA) strongly advise against this concept..Stock reserves have a documented depressing effect on prices… and resulted in less aggressive market bidding for the grains.

I have calculated that reducing CO2 output by 80% (by 2030 per Obama) would reduce humans to a 1700s life style. Farmers made up 69% of labor force in 1800 compared to 2.6% in 1990. The 1800s saw the First Agricultural Revolution with the introduction of commercial chemical fertilizers and factory made equipment that could be pulled by animals. Prior to that agriculture was mainly done by hand with WOODEN implements.
1830 — It took about 250-300 labor-hours to produce 100 bushels of wheat from 5 acres of land with walking plow, [Human powered] brush harrow, hand broadcast of seed, sickle, and flail.
1810-30 saw the transfer of “manufacturing” from the farm and home to the shop and factory. It wasn’t until the 1840′s that we saw factory made farm machinery, labor saving devices and chemical fertilizers became at all common.
1849—Mixed chemical fertilizers were sold commercially
1866 – Gregor Mendel blends two pea plants to create hybrid pea plant
By 1890, labor costs continued to decrease, with only 35–40 labor-hours required to produce 100 bushels (2-1/2 acres) of corn, because of technological advances of the 2-bottom gang plow, disk and peg-tooth harrow, and 2-row planters; and 40–50 labor-hours required to produce 100 bushels (5 acres) of wheat with gang plow, seeder, harrow, binder, thresher, wagons, and horses. However PETA and the Climate loonies want to get rid of OXEN and horses so it is back to serf/slave labor
For comparison in 1987 it only took 3 labor-hours to produce 100 bushels of wheat from 3 acres of land (Ain’t CO2 fertilization great) with tractors, 35-foot sweep disk, 30-foot drill, and a 25-foot self-propelled combine. By 1970 one American farmer was supplying over 75 people with food.
HISTORY OF PESTICIDES
Up until the 1940s inorganic substances, such as sodium chlorate and sulphuric acid, or organic chemicals derived from natural sources were still widely used in pest control. However, some pesticides were by-products of coal gas production or other industrial processes. Thus early organics such as nitrophenols, chlorophenols, creosote, naphthalene and petroleum oils were used for fungal and insect pests, whilst ammonium sulphate and sodium arsenate were used as herbicides. The drawback for many of these products was their high rates of application, lack of selectivity and phytotoxicity9. The growth in synthetic pesticides accelerated in the 1940s with the discovery of the effects of DDT, BHC, aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, chlordane, parathion, captan and 2,4-D. These products were effective and inexpensive with DDT being the most popular, because of its broad-spectrum activity4 ,10. DDT was widely used, appeared to have low toxicity to mammals, and reduced insect-born diseases, like malaria, yellow fever and typhus; consequently, in 1949, Dr. Paul Muller won the Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering its insecticidal properties. However, in 1946 resistance to DDT by house flies was reported and, because of its widespread use, there were reports of harm to non-target plants and animals and problems with residues…. Research into pesticides continued and the 1970s and 1980s saw the introduction of the world’s greatest selling herbicide, glyphosate, the low use rate sulfonylurea and imidazolinone (imi) herbicides, as well as dinitroanilines and the aryloxyphenoxypropionate (fop) and cyclohexanediones (dim) families. For insecticides there was the synthesis of a 3rd generation of pyrethroids, the introduction of avermectins, benzoylureas and Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) as a spray treatment. This period also saw the introduction of the triazole, morpholine, imidazole, pyrimidine and dicarboxamide families of fungicides. As many of the agrochemicals introduced at this time had a single mode of action, thus making them more selective, problems with resistance occurred and management strategies were introduced to combat this negative effect….
Pesticides and herbicides have also had a major impact on the yield per acre. Unless you have slaves to pull the weeds and pick off the insects, you are stuck with either chemicals or losing a large portion of your crops. BTDT — You have to spray apple trees or you can lose 99% of the crop to plum curculio, coddling moths, apple maggots and other pests. We had a pest that left brown trails throughout EVERY SINGLE APPLE!
Currently, four companies produce around 80% of all the meat in our grocery stores and the Biden administration says that decentralization will create lower prices for consumers and higher profits for farmers. Cargill, Tyson, JBS, and National Beef Packing control 85% of the beef market, 54% of the poultry, and 70% of pork. Fifty years ago, these four firms only slaughtered 25% of cattle…. In the beef industry fifty years ago, ranchers received an average of 60 cents of every dollar a consumer spent on beef. The average is now 39 cents. In that same time frame, hog farmers have dropped to 19 cents from 40 to 60 cents. With decreasing profits for our nation’s farmers and ranchers, increased prices in the grocery store, will these new efforts be the solution to equitable food systems in the United States?
Producers Voice
Mr Global’s long term goal has been to completely change the US meat based diet — a diet that is the basis of American exceptionalism – to a diet that barely sustains life and certainly discourages revolts. For example the height of Japanese male students at age 17 has increase by 10 cm since WWII as eating beef became more acceptable. LINK and LINK
Meat provides the easiest access to critical nutrients and energy during the fast growth of the fetus and child.
Meat plays a central role in the diet, providing a significant contribution to the intakes of 10 key nutrients: energy, protein, vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, iron and zinc. In young children, an over-dependence on milk may put young children at increased risk of poor iron status, owing to its displacement of iron-rich or iron-enhancing foods from the diet. This risk becomes nonsignificant when moderate to high amounts of iron-rich or iron-enhancing foods (e.g. meat and fruit, respectively) are also consumed. A study performed on infants in the UK has shown that the addition of meat powder to a weaning food has a marked enhancing effect on the absorption of iron, (38) which reinforces the fact that lean red meat is not only an appropriate weaning food but should be considered an essential food during the critical stages of brain development
MR GLOBAL TELEGRAPHS HIS WAR ON THE AMERICAN DIET
Mr Global has been targeting meat and our middle class life style since the 1972 First Earth Summit chaired by Maurice Strong. (Strong was also the co-chair of the World economic forum — SURPRISE!) In 1992, Chairman Strong told the Earth Summit in Kyoto…
“It is clear that current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts of frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work place air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable.”
The same propaganda was repeated by WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy in 2011.
“climate change negotiations are not just about the global environment but global economics as well — the way that technology, costs and growth are to be distributed and shared… Can we balance the need for a sustainable planet with the need to provide billions with decent living standards? Can we do that without questioning radically the Western way of life? “
Pascal Lamy: Whither Globalization? – The Globalist
A vegan life style was then ‘presented as a health issue’ by the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee as the excuse to ram radical changes down the throats of Americans. However it has nothing to do with health. The US government’s concern for the health of Americans does not play given the FDA has routinely over looked “…significant departures from good clinical practice, such as underreporting of adverse events, violations of protocol, violations of recruitment guidelines, and various forms of scientific misconduct…. or submission of false information… The FDA does not typically notify journals …nor make any announcement intended to alert the public about the research misconduct that it finds. The documents the agency discloses [FOIA] tend to be heavily redacted. As a result, it is usually very difficult, or even impossible, to determine which published clinical trials are implicated by the FDA’s allegations of research misconduct.” –— Research misconduct identified by the US Food and Drug Administration: out of sight, out of mind, out of the peer-reviewed literature
So why are Americans suddenly going to be forced into a change in eating habits?
The chair of DGAC told us why and it has NOTHING to do with health and everything to do with Agenda 21 aka Sustainability. She said:
“After 30 years of waiting, the fact that this committee is addressing sustainability issues brings me a lot of pleasure,” she began. Clancy went on to advocate that Americans should become vegetarians in order to achieve sustainability in the face of “climate change.”...
Clancy said beef production is the “greatest concern.”
That statement certainly sounds like the DGAC is more concerned with Sustainability than with the health of Americans. So beef production, not the health of Americans are the ‘greatest concern’ Gee thanks for telling us that up front.
What you buy at the grocery store, where you live, and even your membership status at the local gym are all subject to a new data collection scheme by the American medical system. Reports indicate that hospitals and doctors’ offices all across the country are now collecting this and other personal information in order to target individuals deemed to have “unhealthy” lifestyle habits that put them at high risk of disease.
Bloomberg reports that hospital systems in both North and South Carolina as well as Pennsylvania have already begun tracking people’s food-purchasing habits by spying on them through public records and credit card transactions. Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS), which operates some 900 care centers throughout the Carolinas, has teamed up with a data-mining company to compile and track this information for the later purpose of calling “high-risk” folks and urging them to make a change.
“What we are looking to find are people before they end up in trouble,” stated Michael Dulin, chief clinical officer for analytics and outcomes at CHS, to Bloomberg. “The idea is to use big data and predictive models to think about population health and drill down to the individual levels to find someone running into trouble that we can reach out to and try to help out.”
ObamaCare to spy on us and The Food Safety Modernization Act. For example:
The 2009 Food Safety Modernization Act as it goes into effect will regulate the manufacturers of ethanol IF the byproduct, distillers grains, goes into animal feed. This will cause a major increase in the price of livestock feed and/or cause the manufacturers of ethanol and distillers grains to say the hell with it and send the distillers grain off to be pelleted for the energy companies to burn instead. It will be a lot less headache for the livestock grain pelleters, if they switch the production plant from livestock feed to energy company pellets. Cost of material, such as mineral and vitamin additives and regulations will drop through the floor. So what’s not to like?

Manufacturers of distillers grains are already regulated by an alphabet soup of statutes, implementing agencies and industry certifications. Now, add the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) to the list.

Corn Primed for Making Biofuel April 16, 2008 Researchers genetically modify a crop to break down its own cellulose. Last year, new federal regulations called for production of renewable fuels to increase to 36 billion gallons annually–nearly five times current levels–by 2022. Today, nearly all fuel ethanol in the United States is produced from corn kernels. To meet the required increase, researchers are turning to other sources, such as cellulose, a complex carbohydrate found in all plants. Corn leaves and stems, prairie grasses, and wood chips are leading candidates for supplies of cellulose. Cellulosic ethanol has many advantages over that produced from corn kernels. Cellulose is not only extremely abundant and inexpensive; studies also suggest that the production and use of ethanol from cellulose could yield fewer greenhouse gases… Enzymes that degrade cellulose, called cellulases, are typically produced by microbes grown inside large bioreactors, an expensive and energy-intensive process. “In order to make cellulosic ethanol really competitive, we really need to bring those costs down,”…

25 X 25 INITIATIVE
H.Con.Res. 369 (109th): Expressing the support of Congress for the “25 x ‘25” initiative, which envisions that farm, forestry, and ranch lands in the United States will provide by 2025 at least 25 percent of the energy consumed in the United States, and, in furtherance of the “25 x ‘25” initiative, promoting the …… increased production of renewable energy by the forestry and agricultural communities.
109th Congress.
One big problem, Like Solar and Wind Turbines, biofuel is not really an Energy savings.
In terms of energy output compared with energy input for ethanol production, the study found that:
• corn requires 29 percent more fossil energy than the fuel produced;
• switch grass requires 45 percent more fossil energy than the fuel produced; and
• wood biomass requires 57 percent more fossil energy than the fuel produced.
Funny how those universities have now reversed their stance on that…

Since 1954, the DHS S&T Office of National Laboratories (ONL) Plum Island Animal Disease Center (PIADC) has served as the nation’s premier defense against accidental or intentional introduction of transboundary animal diseases (a.k.a. foreign animal diseases) including foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and African Swine Fever (ASF). PIADC is the only laboratory in the nation that can work on live FMD virus (FMDV).
Plum Island was a Bio-Level 4 lab however it has had a couple of accidental releases. . In 1978, an unknown disease was released into animals outside the center. Reports on that accident are classified. In 2004 there were not one but TWO releases of Foot and Mouth Disease. This was used by Senator Hillary Clinton and Congressman Tim Bishop to SOUND THE ALARM. They wrote to the Department of Homeland Security:
“We urge you to immediately investigate these alarming breaches at the highest levels, and to keep us apprised of all developments.”

Before Patty Doyle’s Condo can be constructed on the Poison Plum Pork Chop Island, known as Doyle’s Plum Estates, the DHS will have to remove abandoned and polluted buildings, lead and asbestos abatment, removal of all RESEARCH CONTAMINATED MATERIAL AND conduct full BIOLOGICAL DECONTAMINATION. The soil may also contain chemicals and petroleum. Remember Prions may also be in the soil. The Vermont sheep infected with BSE [FAILLACE SHEEP INFECTION WAS NOT PROVEN! -GC] were experimented upon there and incinerated there and buried. We know that prions do not neutralize. Eons go by and the creamated prions are still infective. Some of the research biological contamination is comprised of bioweapons. Mr. Bishop said, “I and Senator [Hillary] Clinton lobbied heavily that the [new facility] not go to Plum Island. The decision not to build it at Plum Island is welcome.”...Still, he said, once the federal government had chosen a site for the new facility, “it became incumbent upon me and Senator [Charles] Schumer and whoever takes Senator Clinton’s place to lobby for another use of Plum Island.” With a significant amount of taxpayer money invested this year in Plum Island’s infrastructure, about $60 million, he said, “it was foolish to walk away from the facility.” At stake are about 300 jobs and the indirect economic benefits the site provides the East End…

CONTINUED… EXACTLY WHEN IN JANUARY??? After Bite-me was in place?
In January 2020, USDA and DHS S&T signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to outline their ongoing strategic interagency partnership at NBAF focused on national security. The MOU establishes an initial framework for scientific collaboration and identifies current areas of opportunity for collaboration which include:
Threat Risk Assessment and Research Prioritization:
To determine which transboundary, emerging animal diseases and zoonotic pathogens present the greatest risk to animal health, human health and national security. Outputs from this work will inform the process for research prioritization at NBAF.
Research and Collaboration:
To support the related USDA and DHS S&T food and agriculture missions including threat characterization and classified research; RDT&E involving biological countermeasures (vaccines, biotherapeutics and diagnostics); subject matter expert collaboration and information sharing; and partnerships….
As of January 2022, the $1.25B NBAF project is approximately 98 percent complete. The facility’s main laboratory construction and commissioning activities were initiated in May 2015. The laboratory will not open until all necessary permits and registrations are received.
….The new study expresses the government’s confidence it could avoid any outbreak. But it also cautioned that “should a large release occur there is considerable opportunity for the virus to cause infections and become established in the environment beyond the facility boundary.”
A simulated outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease – part of an earlier U.S. government exercise called “Crimson Sky” – ended with fictional riots in the streets after the simulation’s National Guardsmen were ordered to kill tens of millions of farm animals, so many that troops ran out of bullets. In the exercise, the government said it would have been forced to dig a ditch in Kansas 25 miles long to bury carcasses. [IS this simulation why the USDA has stockpiled bullets??? – GC]
The new study said U.S. economic losses from an outbreak could ultimately be higher than the $5 billion suffered by Britain in 2001, when an epidemic forced the government to slaughter 6 million sheep, cows and pigs.
The foot and mouth disease (FMD) virus has high agro-terrorism potential because it is contagious, … of Agriculture called “Crimson Sky” reports that the disease can reach .
Abstract and Figures
The foot and mouth disease (FMD) virus has high agro-terrorism potential because it is contagious, can be easily transmitted via inanimate objects and can be spread by wind. An outbreak of FMD in developed countries results in massive slaughtering of animals (for disease control) and disruptions in meat supply chains and trade, with potentially large economic losses…..
Although the FMD virus does not affect humans, the meats from infected animals are not used for food because the virus can spread rapidly through the meat processing supply chain. In addition, the virus can persist in human nasal passages for up to 36 hours and on shoes for 9 to 14 weeks [7]. us, an outbreak of FMD in developed countries results in massive slaughtering of animals (for disease control) and disruptions in meat supply chains and trade with potentially large economic losses…
National Pork Producers Council President-Elect Jon Caspers participated Sept. 30 in a simulated bio-terrorism exercise sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Caspers joined other agricultural officials observing USDA testing its capability in dealing with a possible attack on agriculture and its infrastructure. “Crimson Sky” was the first of six planned exercises
“Should USDA officially confirm the presence of a disease, such as Foot and Mouth Disease, the affected herd and all cattle, sheep, goats, swine, and susceptible wildlife—infected or not— within a minimum 10-kilometer zone around the infected farm would be killed.”
Note they also mention extending that range indefinitely. They affectionately call this process “Depopulation” which is ever so euphemistic. All of this is without a warrant and no appeal. So much for your Constitutional rights and presumption of innocence.GO TO THE LINK BELOW AND READ THE MANUAL FOR YOURSELF! THE 48 HOUR TRACEBACK IS NOT SO THEY CAN VACCINATE, ETC., IT IS TO “DEPOPULATE/STAMP OUT” ALL “SUSCEPTABLE” ANIMALS IN A GIVEN RADIUS. THOSE 48 HOURS ARE NOT JUST TO FIND YOUR ANIMALS…BUT TO KILL THEM!
THE WORLD WITNESSED IT WHEN IT HAPPENED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM’S FOOT AND MOUTH OUTBREAK. MILLIONS OF HEALTHY ANIMALS DESTROYED FOR A FEW HUNDRED THAT TESTED POSITIVE. A VACCINE EXISTS FOR THIS DISEASE…A DISEASE THAT RARELY CAUSES DEATH IN THE ANIMAL AND IT DOESN’T AFFECT HUMANS AT ALL. GENE POOLS WERE DESTROYED FOREVER, LIVES WERE SHATTERED AND SCORES COMMITTED SUICIDE, EVEN EQUIPMENT AND HAY/FEED WERE DESTROYED ALONG WITH FARM DOGS. FARMERS BEGGED THEIR GOVERNMENT TO VACCINATE INSTEAD OF WANTON DESTRUCTION, BUT WERE IGNORED. THIS IS WHAT WE IN AMERICA WILL FACE IF WE ALLOW THE NAIS TO BE IMPLEMENTED HERE. At this point, I would not put it pass these MONSTERS to have a ‘Lab Release’ similar to that in Pirbright– Was that a trial run??– As soon as that Kansas B-4 lab is up and running. Do I know anything concrete? no. HOWEVER the USDA is sending out their ‘Farm Inventory’ this year to anyone who could possibly have farm animals or grow food.
The latest program is the National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP).
