Reasonable Fear.
It is the human condition to face fears in our lives that are truly reasonable fears. But, when we have done all we can to prepare and protect, we still find our power is not sufficient to remove all sources of threat.
Psalms 127
1 Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman keeps awake in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.

Exodus Jubilation.
This is the first week of the Eastertide season.
Eastertide (also known as Eastertime or the Easter season) or Paschaltide (also known as Paschaltime or the Paschal season) is a festal season in the liturgical year of Christianity that focuses on celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The church refers to this period of time after the resurrection as the Paschal Season. What are they referring to?
It’s all about the Passover.
…the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus comes clothed to us in the imagery, symbolism, and language of the Jewish Passover. In fact, the name these early Christians give to their Easter festival is the Greek word pascha. Pascha is a Greek translation of the Hebrew Pesach, which is the Hebrew name for Passover. The Latin church picks up this usage and calls Easter in Latin as pascha as well. Drawing parallels between the exodus and the resurrection, Christians see the Exodus as a type, a foreshadowing of the massive jailbreak when Christ frees the righteous dead from the shadow-lands of the underworld, leading them in triumph from darkness into His light. And Christ’s defeat of sin and death is indeed, Good News.
This parallel is highlighted not only within the Gospel accounts themselves, but throughout the New Testament.
For Christ, our paschal lamb, has been sacrificed. Let us, therefore, celebrate the festival, not with the old leaven, the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. — 1 Corinthians 5:6-8
Rejoice!
Easter’s message rings out in the traditional greeting; one says, “Christ is risen!” and to which the response is, “He is risen indeed, Alleluia!” There is joy in the air. An exuberance, a jubilation, as believers celebrate the defeat of their enemy, and the triumph of their Savior.

In the book of Exodus, after witnessing the Egyptians absolute defeat by the hand of God, the people of Israel, led by Moses, break into song–not only singing–but dancing in celebration. Finally, they are beginning to believe that they have been freed from their oppressors.
We see a people filled with exuberant jubilation rejoicing over the utter defeat of their enemy, and the stunning triumph of their saving God.
And we are right there with them in this Eastertide season. God has mightily delivered us. Let us rejoice!
The Song of Moses
Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the LORD: (Exodus 15:1-21)
I will sing to the LORD, for he is gloriously triumphant; horse and chariot he has cast into the sea.

Sovereignty
Sovereignty. Souveraineté. What does this word, sovereignty, mean? It seems to mean different things to different people.
This Kind of Sovereign?
Judging by a paper called, “A QUICK GUIDE TO SOVEREIGN CITIZENS,” by the UNC School of Government, there are some people that think they can become free by resisting the governmental structures currently in place in our nation. In brief, the paper tells us:
“Sovereign citizen” is a catchall phrase referring to a variety of anti-government individuals and groups who share some common beliefs and behaviors. The organizations to which many sovereign citizens belong have a variety of names… In one way or another, though, all sovereign citizens, whether tied to an organization or not, adhere to a view that the existing American governmental structure, including the courts and law enforcement, is illegitimate and that they, the sovereign citizens, retain an individual common law identity exempting them from the authority of those fraudulent government institutions.
Hmmmm. Maybe this isn’t the kind of sovereign we were looking for.
A Different Take on Sovereignty.
We’ve already had some discussion recently on this essay, but you might not have read far enough down to reach this fantastic claim:
… Still, their eyes were always looking forward, toward a moment when the government wouldn’t just digitize its services but its sovereignty. Enter DOGE. The Department of Government Efficiency didn’t materialize in a vacuum. It was seeded during the Obama years, whispered into existence by those who knew that the real power would come not from Congress, but from a system nimble enough to move faster than legislation, and quiet enough to reshape infrastructure without fanfare. It began as the United States Digital Service—a small team of technocrats who fixed websites, sure, but more importantly, mapped the internal circuitry of American bureaucracy. They weren’t patching holes. They were creating access points. And then, just as quietly as they arrived, they left the back door open.
Sounds interesting. But I’m not sure exactly how to respond. The author provides three hypothetical outcomes of the end of Act III. The second outcome, narrative fracture, doesn’t look good. The first outcome, sovereign reset, is just about what most people seem to want. But that third outcome—if it is even possible—the revelation state, I think people with a heart to be free might want an outcome like this:
It’s not just about controlling the machine—it’s about purifying it. The Sovereign Reset without accountability is stable, but cold. The Narrative Fracture without vision is chaotic and likely irreparable. But the Revelation State? That’s the rarest kind of government: One that awakens, without collapsing. One that confesses, without capitulating. One that still serves, even after seizing control.
However, does this path return us to the intentions of the Founding Fathers of our nation? I wonder.
The Declaration of Independence affirmed the republican principle of popular government. The people were the source of all sovereignty, or authority, in the representative government. They gave their consent to their elected representatives to govern them. The document stated, “That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving [receiving] their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
The Preamble to the Constitution outlined that the new constitutional government was also to be based on this principle of popular sovereignty. It stated, “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union.” This meant that the people of the United States, through their representatives, established this new government. The previous government under the Articles of Confederation (1781–1789) did not have sufficient power to govern the nation because the states were sovereign.
The core purpose of the Declaration of Independence was to establish a just political order that recognized human equality in natural rights for all persons. “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable [impossible to take away] Rights.” This meant that the equality of all people would be the basis of any American system of government. This promise, though not fully realized, has guided American political debates ever since.
This was recognized in the Preamble, which stated simply that one of its main goals was to “establish Justice.” Justice meant that all were equal under the law and equal in their rights. Individuals would be able to pursue their own happiness and have equal opportunity to work hard and keep the fruits of their labor. James Madison noted the importance of justice in Federalist No. 51 when he wrote, “Justice is the end [purpose] of government. It is the end of civil society.”
God as Sovereign.
On this Maundy Thursday of the Christian Holy Week, it seems fitting to reflect on how Jesus the Christ, and our Lord, presented his sovereignty in the last hours before laying down his life for those he came to redeem.
From the Gospel of John 18:33-19:22 (AMPC):
So Pilate went back again into the judgment hall and called Jesus and asked Him, Are You the King of the Jews? Jesus replied, Are you saying this of yourself [on your own initiative], or have others told you about Me?
Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Your [own] people and nation and their chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done? Jesus answered, My kingdom (kingship, royal power) belongs not to this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My followers would have been fighting to keep Me from being handed over to the Jews. But as it is, My kingdom is not from here (this world); [it has no such origin or source].
Pilate said to Him, Then You are a King? Jesus answered, You say it! [You speak correctly!] For I am a King. [Certainly I am a King!] This is why I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth [who is a friend of the Truth, who belongs to the Truth] hears and listens to My voice.
Pilate said to Him, What is Truth? On saying this he went out to the Jews again and told them, I find no fault in Him. But it is your custom that I release one [prisoner] for you at the Passover. So shall I release for you the King of the Jews?
Then they all shouted back again, Not Him [not this Man], but Barabbas! Now Barabbas was a robber. So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged (flogged, whipped) Him. And the soldiers, having twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and threw a purple cloak around Him. And they kept coming to Him and saying, Hail, King of the Jews! [Good health to you! Peace to you! Long life to you, King of the Jews!] And they struck Him with the palms of their hands.
Then Pilate went out again and said to them, See, I bring Him out to you, so that you may know that I find no fault (crime, cause for accusation) in Him. So Jesus came out wearing the thorny crown and purple cloak, and Pilate said to them, See, [here is] the Man!
When the chief priests and attendants (guards) saw Him, they cried out, Crucify Him! Crucify Him! Pilate said to them, Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no fault (crime) in Him. The Jews answered him, We have a law, and according to that law He should die, because He has claimed and made Himself out to be the Son of God.
So, when Pilate heard this said, he was more alarmed and awestricken and afraid than before. He went into the judgment hall again and said to Jesus, Where are You from? [To what world do You belong?] But Jesus did not answer him.
So Pilate said to Him, Will You not speak [even] to me? Do You not know that I have power (authority) to release You and I have power to crucify You? Jesus answered, You would not have any power or authority whatsoever against (over) Me if it were not given you from above. For this reason the sin and guilt of the one who delivered Me over to you is greater.
Upon this, Pilate wanted (sought, was anxious) to release Him, but the Jews kept shrieking, If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar! Anybody who makes himself [out to be] a king sets himself up against Caesar [is a rebel against the emperor]!
Hearing this, Pilate brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called the Pavement [the Mosaic Pavement, the Stone Platform]—in Hebrew, Gabbatha. Now it was the day of Preparation for the Passover, and it was about the sixth hour (about twelve o’clock noon). He said to the Jews, See, [here is] your King! But they shouted, Away with Him! Away with Him! Crucify Him! Pilate said to them, Crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar!
Then he delivered Him over to them to be crucified. And they took Jesus and led [Him] away; so He went out, bearing His own cross, to the spot called The Place of the Skull—in Hebrew it is called Golgotha. There they crucified Him, and with Him two others—one on either side and Jesus between them.
And Pilate also wrote a title (an inscription on a placard) and put it on the cross. And the writing was: Jesus the Nazarene, the King of the Jews. And many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, [and] in Greek. Then the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, Do not write, The King of the Jews, but, He said, I am King of the Jews.
Pilate replied, What I have written, I have written.
Prayer.

Vigilance.
Here we are. We are living through some of the most amazing days in the history of our country. And yet we can sense an uneasiness. An awareness that we need to remain vigilant. A feeling that the enemies of what is good and right are still hard at work trying to interfere, disrupt, overthrow, yes and even murder those building a better future for our nation.
Being Warned in a Dream.
It has been rare, but there have been times in my life when I needed to be warned about something, and it seemed that a dream was given. A dream that would shake me deeply. And then I would ponder, pray, seek insight, and face whatever the warning seemed to be about. Then I would try to respond appropriately in the circumstances.
Two days ago I awakened out of a dream with a grave sense of imminent danger. It was so disturbing, but I couldn’t really make out the full meaning. I will try and tell the details here as I remember them:
I am looking out over a freeway which is just below me in a canyon. At the edge of the canyon there are couple of people sitting at a table, maybe sharing a meal and talking. Beyond them, off in the distance, I can see a large silver airplane flying low over the city. It is apparently having mechanical trouble. I sensed great cry of prayer going up to God for the plane. The plane steadies, there is a sigh of relief. But then there is a distraction. I am still watching the plane. Suddenly it upends and then goes down hard, crashing. I run from where I witnessed the crash over to the airport. The wreckage is on the runway, but there is no fire, no emergency response crews, no activity at all at the crash site. I look around and see that there are people working in other parts of the airfield. They are focused on their work. Work that seems to be related to organizing or preparing to create chaos, not just protests, but also other kinds of disruptions and destruction. In the dream I picked up the sense that these are the kind of people that intend to harm our country—and it’s people—in any way they can.
Needless to say, reading Gail’s post yesterday did not do anything to calm my heightened sense of needing to be on alert. Alert in prayer. Alert in the world around me.
Nehemiah the Builder.
One of my early Bible teachers taught us to face difficult situations by praying and asking, “Where am I in the Bible now?” Perhaps the example of Nehemiah—rebuilding a nearly destroyed people and nation while facing danger and threats from those who hated and opposed his success—might just be a good fit for today. May pondering this story strengthen us to work at the tasks set before us with wisdom, humility, strength and courage.

An Inquiring Heart.
The story begins with Nehemiah in captivity, serving the king of another nation. But his heart is back home with his people. He questions his brothers that had just returned from Judah about of the state of his homeland. They reply, “Those who survived the exile and are back in the province are in great trouble and disgrace. The wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates have been burned with fire.” (Ne 1:3, KJV)
A Broken & Contrite Heart.
The response of Nehemiah reveals his tenderness and compassion for his people. “When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven.” (1:4) Nehemiah doesn’t stand in judgment over others, he sits among them in his prayer:
“Lord, the God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father’s family, have committed against you. We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
“Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations, but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’
“They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” (He was cupbearer to the king.)
Artaxerxes Sends Nehemiah to Jerusalem
Nehemiah succeeds in his plan to get King Artaxerxes’ support in returning to Judah to help rebuild. He gets the authority from the king to do this work. The king authorizes materials and military protection as well. However, some of the local officials are “very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites.”
Nehemiah quietly checks out the situation after he arrives and then goes to the leadership of Jerusalem with his plan and the good news concerning the king’s support. They agree to begin rebuilding.
The Opposition’s Response #1
Their first response is to not only mock and ridicule the Israelites, but to also accuse them of rebellion against the king. Nehemiah answers them by (1) identifying God as their hope for success, (2) noting their submission to God as his servants, (3) declaring their undeterred decision to keep rebuilding, (4) pointing out the opposition’s lack of claim or historical right to their city.
The Opposition’s Response #2
As the work begins, the opposition becomes more incensed. The opposition leader airs his ridicule in front of his associates and the army of Samaria. “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?” Then his sidekick piles on, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!”
At this point Nehemiah has nothing left to say to their enemies. He goes straight to Godwith his appeal. “Hear us, our God, for we are despised. Turn their insults back on their own heads. Give them over as plunder in a land of captivity. Do not cover up their guilt or blot out their sins from your sight, for they have thrown insults in the face of the builders.”
The Opposition’s Response #3
The work continues to make good progress, and when the opposition hears about it, their anger grew to the point that “They all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it.”
Nehemiah’s response again was to pray “to our God” and this time he “posted a guard day and night to meet this threat.”
Internal Discouragement
The workers start to report that their discouragement, and their fear of attacks by their enemies. Nehemiah’s listened to their reports. He takes direct action to fortify the protection for the families working on the wall. Again, he personally looks over the situation and speaks to the people directly.
I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.
Remaining Vigilant
Nehemiah then reports on the new level of vigilance provided to protect those working:
From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor. The officers posted themselves behind all the people of Judah who were building the wall. Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked. But the man who sounded the trumpet stayed with me.

Correcting Internal Exploitation
At this time there is a famine and the people are being (illegally) charged interest and are having their crops and lands siezed by the wealthy. When Nehemiah learns of this he beomes very angry for this injustice. He calls a public meeting and speaks directly to these wealthy leaders:

So may such a person be shaken out and emptied!” At this the whole assembly said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord. And the people did as they had promised.
The Opposition’s Response #4
When the opposition hears that the wall has been completely rebuilt (but without doors in the gates yet). They try a new tactic. Nehemiah then elaborates on an incredible amount of intrigue where people inside of his own community try and trap or entangle him, are collaborating with their enemies due to alliances via intermarriage, are leaking information back to them and are lobbying to influence Nehemiah to see their enemies in a good light. Sounds familiar.
A Great Awakening
Chapters 8 through 12 of the book of Nehemiah recount a profound return to God by the people. Starting with fasting and confessing their sins, listening to Ezra read from the scriptures, repentance, and crying out to the Lord their God. The people then agree to obey the Lord by correcting wrongs, agreeing to obey the Lord’s instructions for offerings, worship, and consecrating the new wall in a large festival-like event. Things are going well for as long as their leader, Nehemiah was there to keep watch over the community.
However, in the final chapter of the book we learn that as soon as Nehemiah left to go back into service with the king, some of the people went back on their promises to God. When Nehemiah returns he again brings correction, helping the people to remain faithful to their God.

Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith confirmed Thursday the detention of Officer Maleek Isaiah Loggins, 22, which had taken place the day before in District Heights, Maryland.
She said his police powers have been suspended as the D.C. department conducts its own investigation into the incident.
MPD said Officer Loggins worked as a patrol officer. He became a sworn officer in March 2024.
A Prince George’s County police report obtained by The Washington Times said Officer Loggins was pulled over at about 3:20 p.m. after authorities witnessed him “committing traffic violations” near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Silver Hill Road.
The report said Officer Loggins was ordered out of the car, and a search of his vehicle turned up a Glock pistol with a 10-round magazine, and a Draco handgun — which mimics the look of an AK-47 — with a 24-round magazine.
Authorities said Officer Loggins also had 27.5 grams of marijuana in his car, which falls short of the 1.5 ounce criminal threshold for marijuana possession in the state, as well as a digital scale.
The report said the MPD officer was detained, handcuffed, and processed for multiple traffic-related offenses, and then released pending further investigation.
Now, let’s break this down. First, I get that the drugs were below the threshold, but in case you don’t have the conversion of grams to ounces handy, it was only short by less than a gram. Maybe it’s just me, but that could be a scale calibration issue. Either way, the law is the law. But because the law is the law, we have to remember that possession of a firearm by someone who uses drugs–even marijuana, mind you, regardless of state laws on the subject–is a felony. “Tom, that’s a federal charge. Local cops can’t file those charges unless there’s a corresponding state law.” That is true, and I haven’t bothered to look to see if Maryland has one, which is where Prince George’s County is, has one. But they do have a magazine capacity limit of just 10 rounds. The Draco had a 24-round magazine. They had grounds to charge him. Except for the fact that he’s a cop and they get special treatment. The laws don’t apply to someone like him as they would to you or me in Prince George’s County. So, they just wrote him a traffic ticket and sent him on his way. These are the gun control laws that we’re all supposed to follow. These are the laws we’re assured are absolutely essential to keeping us all safe. But they don’t apply to law enforcement officers because they’re better than us. They get different rules because they’re special. Well, I’m not walking around with marijuana in my vehicle, much less an amount that’s a skooch under the legal limit and trusting my badge to keep me out of trouble. What happened here should raise a lot of questions, including why laws that are supposedly so essential aren’t applied to everyone equally. Unfortunately, no one in Maryland or DC will be interested in asking those.”

The OPS conducted a form of international knowledge exchange by recruiting ordinary US police officers for ‘short-term tours of duty’ on overseas police assistance projects. “Fusion Centers” are terrorism response and prevention centers designed to promote information sharing about potential threats between federal, state and local law enforcement officers. [1] They were started as a joint project between the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs between 2003 and 2007. According to the DOJ, “a fusion center is an effective and efficient mechanism to exchange information and intelligence, maximize resources, streamline operations, and improve the ability to fight crime and terrorism by merging data from a variety of sources.”[2]
Although the centers may have started in an attempt to gather criminal intelligence data, the fusion centers have continually focused on public and private sector data, raising many concerns about the privacy rights of Americans. [3]
As of July 2009, there were 72 designated fusion centers with 36 field representatives deployed. Department of Homeland Security has given more than $254 million to support fusion centers from FY 2004-2007. [4] The stimulus package gave $250 million to upgrade, modify and construct state and local fusion centers. [5] With the exception of Idaho and Pennsylvania, every state has at least one fusion center (if not more, as is the case with Texas). [6] State and local police departments provide both space and resources for the majority of fusion centers, and centers may be staffed by DHS employees, local police, or the private sector. [7]
Criticism of Fusion Centers: Overreaching and Lack of Oversight
Critics of fusion centers worry about the secrecy and lack of regulation or authority over individual centers, as well as the privacy intrusions that can arise from this lack of oversight.
The federal role in supporting fusion centers consists of providing financial assistance, primarily through the Homeland Security Grant Program, as well as security clearances, providing congressional authorization and appropriation of national foreign intelligence program resources, and some training.[8] States have been using local, state, and federal funds since 2004 to create fusion centers, but no standards or guidelines have been in existence to assist with interoperability and communication issues between centers at the regional, state, and federal levels. [9]. Most significantly, there has been a marked lack of regulation and federal oversight over individual fusion centers.
Both the Government Accountability Office and the Congressional Research Service have told Congress the need for more oversight in fusion centers. [10] A Congressional Research Service Report highlights the lack of focus of fusion centers on actual terrorism. “The centers “have increasingly gravitated toward an all-crimes and even broader all-hazards approach,” focusing on traditional criminals and local emergencies, according to a report this month by the Congressional Research Service (CRS).” [11] The CRS Report further found “little true fusion, or analysis of disparate data sources, identification of intelligence gaps and pro-active collection of intelligence.” [12]
The DOJ and Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC) have recently developed fusion center guidelines in response to these criticisms.[2]
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) highlights five problem areas regarding fusion centers: ambiguous lines of authority, private sector participation, military participation, data fusion/data mining, and excessive secrecy. [13]…

Some grow in courage over time, others find their courage appears in the moment of need.
When is comes to hearts of courage, there are some who truly stand out for me. They have stood by their principles, even when judges let them know that their stand was going to get them thrown in jail. There are likely many more that deserve to be highlighted. But tonight, let us remember Gregg Phillips, Catherine Engelbrecht, and Tina Peters, who have done time for the stand they took.

On Monday, March 3rd, the Deep State Dam began to crack open upon news the DOJ just filed a Statement of Interest in the case of Tina Peters. Read more commentary about that HERE. Accompanying this news was a spectacular throw down by Mike Davis from the Article III Project who revealed the corruption which led to the persecution, prosecution and imprisoning of Tina Peters for 9 years.
Now is the time for everyone to learn the real story about the dystopian abuse of Tina Peters. At the center of that is understanding why they would go to such extremes to frame, persecute, prosecute and imprison a near 70 year age Gold Star Mom who lost her Navy SEAL Son during service to his country. Without as much as a J-Walking ticket, or any ticket for that matter, the judge heartlessly sentenced Tina to what very well could be a death sentence for standing up and doing her sworn duty to preserve her election records. As described by Mike Davis, she was sentenced for “thought crimes”.
Well, it’s safe to say that the Deep State sure didn’t like Clerk Peters preserving those election records under her jurisdiction (all 29,000 of them) that they thought were successfully deleted at the direction of the Colorado Secretary of State. That deletion along with the other vulnerabilities are discussed on her website, https://tinapeters.us/ along with her forensic reports that delve into extreme detail on all the discoveries made by the forensic computer scientists.
Our DOJ, last month, has made a Statement of Interest (read more: The Gateway Pundit):
This review will include an evaluation of the State of Colorado’s prosecution of Ms. Peters and, in particular, whether the case was “oriented more toward inflicting political pain than toward pursuing actual justice or legitimate governmental objectives.”
Ms. Peters is currently incarcerated while pursuing a direct appeal of her underlying nonviolent convictions and combined nine-year sentence.
The application explains that Ms. Peters suffers from serious health issues and that, while incarcerated, her physical and mental health have deteriorated. Reasonable concerns have been raised about various aspects of Ms. Peters’ case.
These concerns relate to, among other things, the exceptionally lengthy sentence imposed relative to the conduct at issue, the First Amendment implications of the trial court’s October 2024 assertions related to Ms. Peters, and whether Colorado’s denial of bail pending appeal was arbitrary or unreasonable under the Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments such that §2254 relief is appropriate.
Accordingly, the United States respectfully submits that the concerns raised in the Application warrant – at the very least – prompt and careful consideration by this Court (and, at the appropriate time, the Colorado appellate courts).
Parallel to these proceedings and Ms. Peters’ direct appeal, the Department of Justice is reviewing cases across the nation for abuses of the criminal justice process…

Seale describes Solh’s most significant change of heart, when he started to believe in an independent Lebanon, something that set him apart from his fellow Arab nationalists. From that point onward, the reader follows Solh’s every political maneuver to become the first premier of the country, as he navigates his way past colonial French occupation, hostile Maronite opponents and even his own family members. The chapter describing how he and Bishara el-Khoury, the British-backed first president of Lebanon, battled with the French in the final throws of their colonial project, is separated into rounds — 14 of them, each a page or two long.

Fusion – Three Years and Counting
The 2018 National Security Capability Review is a useful place to remind ourselves of the UK’s National Security Objectives. Number one is to protect our people (at home, in our overseas territories and abroad, and to protect our territory, economic security, infrastructure and way of life). Number two is to project our global influence – reducing the likelihood of threats materialising and affecting the UK, our interests, and those of our allies and partners. National Security Objective Three is to promote our prosperity – seizing opportunities, working innovatively and supporting UK industry.2 So there we have it, economic security, threats against the UK and supporting UK industry are the building blocks that form the foundations of the UK’s seemingly unbreakable relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Khashoggi – when Dodging a Bullet is not the same as Ducking the Issue
The UK’s relationship with Saudi Arabia has not been perfectly smooth and the UK has not remained silent at every turn. In 2019, Foreign Office Minister Alan Duncan called the mass execution of 37 mainly Shiah Muslims as ‘repulsive’ and ‘utterly unacceptable in the modern world’. Britain’s response to the murder of [Jamal] Khashoggi was not quite so stinging. This is despite the fact that the CIA concluded that the operation was approved at the highest levels by Mohammed bin Salaman (MBS). For anyone who felt that the UK had dodged a multi-million-pound export-laden bullet by ignoring MBS’ involvement, Dominic Raab was able to clarify that situation. He told Parliament that the Government had not ducked the issue, and stressed the point that even the United States had not brought any sanctions to bear against MBS. Case closed as they say.
Conclusion
Despite the UK’s long-standing relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it has been an increasingly challenging journey, one not helped by Saudi’s involvement in the war in Yemen since 2105. By integrating and coordinating various offices of state, the UK Government has successfully provided the private sector the freedom of manoeuvre it needs to sell arms and military aid. Although the MOD has several personnel advising the KSA, it is the use of private contractors that allow the UK to operate at range; not taking part in the war in Yemen but facilitating the Kingdom to continue its Iran-facing operations. This is a potent and effective mix and one that demonstrates that the UK has, at least in the case of Saudi Arabia and the war in Yemen, achieved a truly integrated approach and certainly a model for the future. Perhaps this is a model that is already being reshaped? Prime Minister’s Johnson’s response to the Liaison Committee following the sale of Britain’s largest chip-making plant, Newport Wafer Fab, to a Chinese firm was simply that he did ‘not want anti-China spirit to pitchfork away every investment from China in this country.’ If you were wondering, Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea at the end of 2015. However, the TV station aired for less than 24 hours before shutting down, citing technical difficulties. Rumors started to circulate that the Saudi government pressured the station into closure after it broadcasted a Bahraini politician from opposition.
According to Jamal’s friends, who spoke to BBC Turkey and wished to remain anonymous, Jamal’s problems began shortly after the Al-Arab News incident.
Jamal was barred from speaking to any news outlets and could not find any work during this time, and chose to self-exile himself to the U.S…
In my opinion Al Waleed was extremely dangerous to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and his plans to remove Saudi Arabia from the grip of the ‘International Syndicate.’ Mohammed bin Salman’s plans are not to use Saudi’s oil money to buy influence in the USA or promote touchy-feely causes at home, but to train his people in the sciences and technology and INDUSTRIALIZE so Saudi Arabia can actually join the first world.
Reading between the lines, I think the capture and information extraction from the royal princes probably was actually about finding and eliminating the NATO/CIA trained Stay-behind Units. This would go a very long way to defanging the ‘International Syndicate’s’ control of Saudi Arabia.

National Security!
It’s “their” very favorite playbook. They want to some how, some way, create another narrative that makes everything related to president, Donald J. Trump, into a “National Security Crisis!”
Well, do you know what a real national security crisis looks like? It looks like the election systems in all 50 states having a total loss of control.
“We identified, inside of the state’s official records about the 2022 and the 2020 elections, millions and millions of examples of what appear to be felony misconduct, according to the United States Department of Justice’s guidelines for prosecution of election offenses.” — Marly Hornick, in this interview
While we may need an Executive Order to act as a stop-gap for the 2026 Elections–which are nearly on top of us at this point–the real work of securing our elections must be done at the state level. And it appears state officials will only be motivated when they see that Federal prosecutions could be in their near future.
I very much appreciate that the E.O. deals with an issue found in some voting systems. A human readable ballot and a true paper trail are essential for a secure elections system.
“Above all, elections much be honest and worthy of the public trust. That requires voting methods that produce a voter-verifiable paper record allowing voters to efficiently check their votes to protect against fraud or mistake. Election-integrity standards much be modified accordingly.”
“… voting systems should not use a ballot in which a vote is contained within a barcode or quick-response code in the vote counting process … [with an exception for accommodating disabilities] … and should provide a voter-verifiable paper record to prevent fraud or mistake.”
The “follow the money” types amongst us are likely to be happy to see the E.O. provide direction for an audit of all Help America Vote Act (HAVA) fund expenditures.
“Following an audit of Help America Vote Act fund expenditures conducted pursuant to 52 U.S.C. 21142, the Election Assistance Commission shall report any discrepancies or issues with an audited State’s certifications of compliance with Federal law to the Department of Justice for appropriate enforcement action.”
And for those of us who were concerned with the word “voluntary” in the Election Assistance Commission’s guidelines, it looks like there might be some teeth in the E.O. here:
“The Secretary of Homeland Security and the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, consistent with applicable law, shall in considering the provision of funding for State or local election offices or administrators through the Homeland Security Grant Programs, 6 U.S.C. 603 et seq., heavily prioritize compliance with the Voluntary Voting System Guidelines 2.0 developed by the Election Assistance Commission and completion of testing through the Voting System Test Labs accreditation process.”
That’s really all nice and everything, but is this going to be another here-today-gone-tomorrow news event? Well, rescinding all previous certifications of voting equipment based on prior standards sounds good.
“Within 180 days of the date of this order, the Election Assistance Commission shall take appropriate action to review and, if appropriate, re-certify voting systems under the new standards established under subsection (b)(i) of this section, and to rescind all previous certifications of voting equipment based on prior standards.”
There are also important sections on not counting votes cast after election day (duh!), validating that voters are citizens, preventing foreign interference and prosecuting election crimes.
The section on improving the security of voting systems reminds us that election infrastructure is designated as “Critical Infrastructure.” Note that non-citizens are not to be involved in the administration of any Federal Election. I wonder how many voting system contractors that you see at the local elections office are non-citizens. Do they even check?
The E.O. goes on to task Homeland Security with assessing the security of electronic elections systems and report on what they find. I suspect this doesn’t go far enough. If there are non-electronic procedures that are not subject to review for Federal Elections that allow for fraud, that should be addressed to. Maybe it’s in existing law and I missed it.
“Sec. 6. Improving Security of Voting Systems. To improve the security of all voting equipment and systems used to cast ballots, tabulate votes, and report results:
“(a) The Attorney General and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take all appropriate actions to the extent permitted by 42 U.S.C. 5195c and all other applicable law, so long as the Department of Homeland Security maintains the designation of election infrastructure as critical infrastructure, as defined by 42 U.S.C. 5195c(e), to prevent all non-citizens from being involved in the administration of any Federal election, including by accessing election equipment, ballots, or any other relevant materials used in the conduct of any Federal election.
“(b) The Secretary of Homeland Security shall, in coordination with the Election Assistance Commission and to the maximum extent possible, review and report on the security of all electronic systems used in the voter registration and voting process. The Secretary of Homeland Security, as the head of the designated Sector Risk Management Agency under 6 U.S.C. 652a, in coordination with the Election Assistance Commission, shall assess the security of all such systems to the extent they are connected to, or integrated into, the Internet and report on the risk of such systems being compromised through malicious software and unauthorized intrusions into the system.”

However we can not leave out the British connection. Their goal was to advance ‘The Third Way’ and a one-world ANGLO OLIGARCHY RULED government. Next up, you need some friends in the Military to feed you contracts. Don’t think so? When Boeing gets a $B contract to ‘study’ or ‘develop’ and you need to design your new tech from scratch on your own money: Who do you think will win? So the government basically decides how many companies it wants, and who they will be, then funds them “to plan” with contracts. (This is NOT a hypothetical… I’ve watched them flat out announce “We’d like Lockheed and Martin to merge” or “we don’t want…” usually when one of them is ‘having issues’ and the topic is raised. Then the government casts the one vote that matters…)
And so it goes…
This is, dare I say it…. basically the same way the Fascist “Third Way” worked. (And it DOES work). FDR and Wilson both had high praise for The Third Way and you can see how they shifted America from a ‘free market’ toward “Third Way” government – corporation “cooperation” … It was this same process / tendency that Ike warned about in the “Military Industrial Complex” speech.
So we’ve moved away from straight up competition (and with good reasons… it is less profitable and more destructive in some ways and it is prone to monopoly practices) and toward that Classical Socialist end of things; with exact placement varying over time. And we called it a “Mixed Economy” at the ‘tepid’ end; as the name “fascist Third Way” got a bit tainted during W.W.II …. that tendency for Mussolini and Hitler to stir in a load of Nationalism and for the Nazis a double helping of Racism spoiled the soup for the Third Way “Socialist Lite” folks like FDR.
And the propaganda worked.
We’ve now got a “Progressive” and a “Third Way” government that IS a form of Socialism. Now, the high watermark of the sort of internet free speech moment was the Arab Spring in 2011, 2012,when you had this one by one.All of the adversary governments of the Obama administration, Egypt, Tunisia, all began to be toppled in Facebook revolutions and Twitter revolutions. And you had the State Department working very closely with the social media companies to be able to keep social media online during those periods. There was a famous phone call from Google’s Jared Cohen to Twitter to not do their scheduled maintenance so that, the preferred opposition group in Iran would be able to use Twitter, to win that election…
So it was; free speech was an instrument of statecraft from the national security state to begin with. All of that architecture, all the NGOs, the relationships between the tech companies and the national security state had been long established for freedom.In 2014, after the coup in Ukraine, there was an unexpected counter coup where Crimea and the Donbas broke away and they broke away with essentially a military backstop that NATO was highly unprepared for at the time. They had one last Hail Mary chance, which was the Crimea annexation vote on, in 2014. And when the hearts and minds of the people of Crimea voted, to join the Russian Federation, that was the last straw for the concept of free speech on the internet
In the eyes of NATO as they saw it, the fundamental nature of war changed at that moment. And NATO at that point declared something that they first called the Gerasimov doctrine, which is named after this Russian military, a general, who they claimed made a speech that the fundamental nature of war has changed. You don’t need to win military skirmishes to take over Central and Eastern Europe. All you need to do is control the media and the social media ecosystem, because that’s what controls elections. And if you simply get the right administration into power, they control the military. So it’s infinitely cheaper than conducting a military war to simply conduct an organized political, influence operation over social media. And legacy media and industry had been created that spanned the Pentagon, the the British Ministry of Defense in Brussels into a organized political warfare outfit, essentially infrastructure that was created, initially stationed in Germany and in Central and Eastern Europe to create psychological buffer zones, basically to create the ability to to have the military work with the social media companies, to censor Russian propaganda, or to censor domestic right wing populist groups in Europe who were rising in political power at the time because of the migrant crisis.
So you had the systematic targeting by our State Department, by our [Inter-Service Intelligence], by the Pentagon,of groups like Germany’s AfD, the Alternative for Deutschland there, and for groups in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. Now, when Brexit happened in 2016, it was [it created a] crisis moment where suddenly they didn’t have to worry just about Central and Eastern Europe anymore. It was coming westward, this idea of Russian control over hearts and minds….
Now the entire rules-based international order would collapse unless the military took control over media, because Brexit would give rise to “Frexit” in France, with Marine Le Pen to “Spexit” in in Spain with a Vox party to “Italexit” in Italy, to “Grexit” in Germany, to “Grexit” in Greece, the EU would come apart, so NATO would be killed without a single bullet being, being fired. And then not only that, now that NATO is gone, now there’s no enforcement arm for the International Monetary Fund, the IMF or the world Bank. So now the financial stakeholders who depend on the battering ram of the national security state would basically be helpless against governments around the world. So from their perspective, if the military did not begin to censor the internet, every all of the democratic institutions and infrastructure that gave rise to the. World after World War Two would collapse….
The whole push after the 2016 election and after Brexit and after a couple of other, you know, social media run elections that went the wrong way from what the State Department wanted, like the 2016 Philippines election, was to completely invert everything that we described as being the underpinnings of a democratic society in order to deal with the threat of free speech on the internet. And what they essentially said is we need to redefine democracy from being about the will of the voters to being about the sanctity of democratic institutions. And who are the democratic institutions? Oh, it’s us, you know, it’s the military, it’s NATO, it’s the IMF and the World Bank. It’s the mainstream media, who it is, the NGOs. And of course, these NGOs are largely State Department funded or IC funded. It’s essentially all of the elite establishments, that were under threat from the rise of domestic populism that declared their own consensus to be the new definition of democracy. Because if you define democracy as being the strength of democratic institutions rather than a focus on the will of the voters, then what you’re left with is essentially democracy is just the consensus building architecture within the democratic institutions themselves….
As someone in the State Department, I find it hard to believe he is not aware of NATO and the CIA’s connection to Operation Gladio.

JFK says absolutely not, we are not doing this. Allen Dulles, just before this, had been fired. Lyman Lemnitzer, in what should have been a demotion and a resignation, JFK thought, was reassigned to NATO.

He had never been told that a sub unit of NATO called ACC[Allied Clandestine Committee – GC], was the planning cell for all Operation Gladio events. 57:30 – 58:30 — Colonel: Here is the interesting tie to Operation Gladio and JFK. de Gaulle kicks NATO out. He withdraws French forces from NATO. France does not rejoin NATO until 2009.
Within a year, JFK is dead. The day JFK gets assassinated, the Dallas police picks-up a known OAS agent, and escorts him without questioning him, to the border and dumps him off in Mexico. TWO OF THEM. So the same people known to be trying to kill de Gaulle were in Dallas on the same day that JFK gets murdered.

There was a phone call between de Gaulle and JFK where JFK says, No I had nothing to do with the coup attempt but I can’t speak for my CIA. And then there is a quote from de Gaulle when he came home from JFK’s funeral, He flat out said on French TV, Kennedy was killed by the same security forces that went after me.

It is not to say everything is, but Operation Gladio explains so much of our history that has been at odds with logic, because you could not see that silent hand in it. They seem to be disconnected but are all somehow tied together.

…. I was stationed in Italy in 1990. I got off an airplane on August 2nd. What happened was Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait while I was asleep on the plane. So I get off the plane in Rome, and they are on high alert. For the people who do not know, there is a lot of speculation that the ambassador who was in charge of Iraq, April Glaspie gave the go ahead to Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait by basically saying, Oh yeah, If you do that? You know that old squabble you have had over those oil wells down there? We are not going to do anything to you. So what does Saddam Hussein do? He invades.

….Eight days before his Aug. 2, 1990, invasion of Kuwait, Saddam Hussein met with April Glaspie, then America’s ambassador to Iraq. It was the last high-level contact between the two countries before Iraq went to war.
From a translation of Iraq’s transcript of the meeting, released that September, press and pundits concluded that Ms. Glaspie had (in effect) given Saddam a green light to invade.
“We have no opinion on your Arab-Arab conflicts,” the transcript reports Glaspie saying, “such as your dispute with Kuwait. Secretary [of State James] Bakerhas directed me to emphasize the instruction… that Kuwait is not associated with America.”
….She said she was the victim of “deliberate deception on a major scale,” and denounced the Iraqi transcript as “a fabrication” that distorted her position, though it contained “a great deal” that was accurate.
The veteran diplomat awaited her next assignment, later taking a low-profile job at the United Nations….
Glaspie is now US consul general in Cape Town, South Africa.

1:01:10 – 1:01:45 — Colonel: So let me tell you about the timing. I am reading through Operation Gladio, and I find out, on the second of August, 1990, there was a huge exposure in Italy about Operation Gladio. What is the best way to bury, exposure? A WAR!
So one week before that they had discovered the one thousand list ofP2 [or Propaganda Due]
…But one conspiracy, Masonic in origin, was catapulted into the sunshine one day in March of 1981 when the Italian police searched the home of Worshipful Master Licio Gelli and found a list containing the names of some of Italy’s most prominent officials, including that of Silvio Berlusconi, a man who would become Premier of Italy and a personal friend of George W. Bush.
Founded in 1877, P2 or Propaganda Due was an irregular lodge formed as part of the Grand Orient of Italy. It had few members until Licio Gelli came to power and drastically expanded its membership within one year to over a thousand. Gelli was a former fascist, having been a “black shirt” in Mussolini’s government, and served as a liaison between Mussolini’s government and the Third Reich.
Essentially setting the P2 Lodge up as a shadow government for Italy along fascist lines in the 60’s and 70’s, Gelli’s Lodge included four Cabinet Ministers, all three heads of Italy’s intelligence organizations, forty eight members of parliament, hundreds of military officers, and the cream of the crop of Italy’s industrialists, bankers and diplomats. In addition, he developed high level contacts outside of Italy as well, most notably meeting with Alexander Haig, and contacts with Henry Kissinger and the CIA…. The most notable of the group’s known activities involved the Vatican at very high levels.
Roberto Calvi, nicknamed “God’s Banker”, headed the doomed Banco Ambrosiano that was investigated in 1981 of breaking the law when a whopping $27 million had left Italy in violation of currency transfer laws. Also accused of laundering money for the Mafia, [Remember the CIA/NATO had taken over the Mafia in order to divert the drug money into funding Operation Gladio. — GC] the Banco Ambrosiano collapsed into bankruptcy in 1982.
Calvi had clear connections with Licio Gelli, which led to the discovery of P2 and its infamous list of members. Very heavily invested in Banco Ambrosiano was the Vatican Bank, then headed by Archbishop Paul Marcinkus, who in an attempt to increase the finances of the Holy See, entangled himself with Calvi and his illicit activities – and presumably those of the Lodge – ultimately fleeing Italy to avoid prosecution to Sun City, Arizona where he died in 2006 under the protection of his Vatican passport….

The Archbishop of Chicago had been brought in to be put in charge of the Vatican bank. And did you know, THE VATICAN BANK HAS ONLY BEEN AROUND SINCE 1942? And did I mention that 1942 is when they set-up the Gladio Operation in Germany.
1:02:15 – 1:02:30 — Brady: And it is no coincidence that the invasion in 1990, came right on the heels of the Iran-Contra investigations which is also a CIA operation.
1:02:30 – — Colonel: The next 90 to 120 days that the exposure is happening in Italy, and then it cascades to all over Europe because Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti isn’t going to take the heat alone.
In October, these people are so tone deaf, that the ACC [Allied Clandestine Committee – GC], part of NATO that has quarterly meetings of Operation Gladio continued to have meetings! They had a meeting in October of 1990 as the exposure is coming out. So in November as more exposure happens, as a result of an investigation into Italy’s Operation Gladio units, All of the European presidents and prime ministers e are saying ‘I KNOW NOTHING!’ Andreotti was so pissed off he got on Italy’s national TV because he was not going to go down alone. He does end up in prison. He calls out every single one of the heads of the European countries, and says, if you know nothing about it, why was your guy at the NATO meeting? I know your guy was at the NATO meeting…. Implicating all of them. And that is when journalists knew to dig into all these other countries. They all had Stay-behind Units – Colonel Towner
1:04:00 – 1:04:45 — Colonel: In Italy specifically, one of the Operation Gladio events was at a bank, where like a hundred people – they basically did what they were planning to do with Operation Northwood in the USA. They would go to a bank, they would plant a bomb, it would kill one hundred people, it would wound 800 people. These were strategically done in locations where people did not support the ‘appropriate candidate’ that the West or fascists wanted to be elected. So if you were going to vote the wrong way, they would scare the hell out of you to get you to vote the right way.
1:04:45 – 1:05:00 — Brady: This absolutely does not happen in a vacuum. What else is going on geopolitically at the exact same time? The Berlin Wall came down. The dissolution of the Soviet Union. So now we basically have the reverse of what happened post WWII
1:05:00 – 1:06:00 — Colonel: Let’s finish with Argentina, because your point is dead on. I want to point out that talking about the Vatican you have Pope John Paul the First. He was Pope for 33 days. He found out about the Vatican money laundering and was going to expose it but they poisoned him and killed him. Operation Gladio.
Pope John Paul II, knew about it. He is from Poland. So the Vatican charged 10-15% usury fees for doing the money laundering to pad their own books. Some of the money the Vatican got for money laundering, you could argue was used in a good way. John Paul the II funded Solidarity in Poland to stand-up to the Soviet Union.
1:06:00 – 1:06:10 — Brady: That was Pope Pius 12 right? They embezzled over a billion dollars to Argentina but over half of that ends up in Poland for the Solidarity Movement. [Pope Pius 12 served as Pope from 2 March 1939 to 9 October 1958, during which time he led the Church through World War II. Pope John Paul II served as Pope from 16 October 1978 to 2 April 2005,– GC]
1:06:10 – 1:09:50 — Colonel: Well Pope John Paul II was the one that did it for Poland. Pope Pius 12 was before, but he was involved in Operation Gladio too.
Pope John Paul II actually starts talking to the Soviets. And one of the Operation Gladio authors with DOCUMENTATION documents messages sent by Pope John Paul II to the Soviet Union suggesting he can siphon some more money through Solidary to the Soviets to help them, because they know the Soviet Union is failing. It is in a critical state at this point, just prior to 1991. That if they wanted to use some of the money to — My words – stand up a more democratic form of government and start selling off the resources to Oligarchs that John Paul II would help with that by funneling money. So leading up to John Paul’s assassination attempt. The Fascists can not have the Soviet Union fall apart at this point because they do not have another Boogeyman right now. So they do not want it falling apart and get pissed off when they find John Paul II is trying to transition the Soviet Union out of being Communist. So they try to kill him. And they use Gladio Operators that were trained in Turkey. We have names, they were eventually arrested. This is all documented. So they get mad at John Paul II for trying to help the Soviet Union so they shoot him. He does not die but he gets the picture. He stops dealing with the Soviets but the Soviet Union falls apart anyway. — Colonel Towner
The new pope that comes in, the current pope, Pope Francis. He is the archbishop in Argentina when Operation Gladio disposes of the friendlier, less fascist president of Argentina and installs a fascist president. A president that instantly starts murdering hundreds of thousands of people. Argentina is a 95% Catholic country so if Pope Francis, as archbishop, had stood up and said stop that, the entire country would have attacked the people doing the murdering. The president would not have gotten away with it if Pope Francis had stood up. Not only did he not do that, he turned in priests that were not 100% Fascist orientated that were taken as prisoners of war. In one of the books are the statements from two who were tortured for over 6 months and Pope Francis never did anything to secure their release. They have a pending lawsuit in Argentina. Because the heart of the Shiite religion is in Iraq they thought they could influence the Ayatollah of Iran. That absolutely backfired because Iran put their puppets into Iraq. Our think tanks in DC got it 180 degrees wrong. They actually thought they could de-stabilize Iran thru the Shiite route.
1:12:20 — Colonel: You realize that the president of Iran back in the day before we got the Shaw back, Mosaddegh, So he was a very liberal in a good sense and had modernized Iran. An Operation Gladio Unit took him out.

1:12:50 – 1:14:30 — Colonel: So this fascist entity can be traced to all of the instability in the Middle East. It is really important to notice this post WWII international policy of America is just an extension of the British Foreign Policy of the Previous couple hundred years. It is the divide and conquer. They carved up the Middle East and Africa with the artificial borders specifically so you would have warring tribes that had nothing to do together and put them in one country thru an artificial border so your going to have that strife.

The Kurdish entity, and it was recognized on maps if you go back to the 1930s. You will see it on maps, not that it was a formal country with a president and congress and all that other stuff. It was a KNOWN ENTITY. It was huge. And it overlays today’s, Syria, Iraq, Iran and Turkey. They were recognized as a homogeneous entity and no one messed with them.
After WWII they created fake countries, and dissected up, Kurdistan. Kurdistan was very militant and anybody who ever messed with them got killed. They did not take crap from anybody.

1:16:00 — Colonel: I met in the 1990s most of their leadership. One of them asked me, after I had finished my deployment, to travel to see all the European casinos with him. I turned him down. They are very sweet, personality people but they are deadly lethal at the same time. They have been attacked by Turkey, by Syria, by Iraq and by Iran. And they do hold there own.
But Operation Gladio had Turkish Gladio units dressed up as Kurds attack border cities in Turkey and then they go and use that as a reason to go attack Kurds.

[Remember the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty occurred on June 8, 1967, during the Six-Day War. — GC] Because what you are going to find out once you really get into this is, Israel is NOT the Israel we think it is.
1:19:50 — Brady: To sort of bring this home, all these operations? There are pretty good estimates that the USA since WWII has performed 73 successful color revolutions coups and probably ten that were not successful that we know about. They use the same playbook over and over again.

Then that is Operation Gladio just like the one that happened in Greece. That was Operation Gladio. And you are absolutely right, they are orchestrated out of a coordination cell housed in NATO. They encompass every single national intel organization. Mossad, CIA, MI6, B&D, The Italian secret intel apparatus, I think it is SPR…. But all those organizations, every country has one. They meet under the auspices of NATO. So lets go full circle back to Wesley Clark.

Rural v. Urban.
Last week’s discussion of separatist movements was thin on the details regarding the motivations of those wanting to redraw the lines for their state. But the most common issue mentioned seems to be that nearly all of the time, the urban areas of a state are running the state without much consideration of the people living in the more rural areas.
Fourteen States – or more.

From the article referenced last week, there are active separatist movements in at least 14 states: California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington.
The goals aren’t the same in each place — and some movements are far more serious than others. Dozens of counties in Illinois and Oregon, for example, have already voted in favor of some form of separation from their current states.
[Intrastate] secession is the true secession fever: Not the perennial postelection calls of losing parties to secede from a nation controlled by the opposition, but a growing movement for secession from states, with the parts of states (sometimes geographically very large parts of states) wanting to separate from the population-dense urban areas that essentially control state decisionmaking. Feeling ignored, put-upon, and mistreated, secessionists want to take their fate into their own hands. These movements are common, but not likely to succeed on their own, as intrastate secession is, though not entirely unknown (see, e.g., West Virginia) very difficult to pull off.
But these movements do indicate a widespread sense of dissatisfaction among (mostly rural) populations who feel that they are governed by people in distant urban centers who know little, and care less, about their way of life. Such sentiments, which in a way resemble those regarding Britain in the lead-up to the American Revolution, have probably worsened since the Supreme Court’s decisions in the line of cases beginning with Baker v. Carr weakened rural areas’ political position in favor of urban areas. This problem was, to a degree, foreseen by contemporary critics of those decisions.
In conclusion the author proposes:
In this short Essay, I have argued that allowing different standards for urban and rural areas in key subjectmatter areas, something that can be done by both state and federal governments without any constitutional changes, is likely to accomplish that goal. I believe that little of value would be lost by this approach, and much, potentially, might be saved.
