2026.07.14 Daily Thread: The World According To Trade(Bait)

Some fun to start the day!

How about a irrelevant and unimportant deep dive into a totally disrespectful, yet, funny statement used in many endeavors, specially sporting events.

Definitely too much information, even if the subject matter is fully addressed in the first five minutes or so of the video.

Then there is this…

That was a bit strange… and very wet.

The next one is definitely up my alley.

Pepé le Pew with an interesting twist…or thud.

Which leads to…

That’s all folks!

No, really, that’s all folks!

We have reached the end of my run as an author at this time. Some of you are probably dancing in your skivvies and muumuus while shouting “good riddance” in your kitchens. Others may have a more subdued response because you ignored most of them. 😄

It’s all good.

I have been grateful for the opportunity Wolf provided to express my thoughts about past experiences, interests, people, our nation, Christianity, history, politics, business, health and so on. It has been chicken soup, therapeutic, for my soul. To all who spent your time reading and contributing your thoughts – thank you! It is encouraging to authors to know others are willing to spend time considering the subjects and presentations. Please continue to do so with all authors and supporting the efforts of Wolf. I have been humbled and learned much from all QTree members within our community. Being here has led to a better life for me and my family. Besides that, it is just a great place to hang out!

I am not going anywhere. I will still be reading and posting on threads many days. This place of online friends that Wolf has provided means a great deal to me. I just need more time to do other things of importance at home and in the community.

Life Lessons Learned

My mission here is complete for now. My assignment was to help others. That’s it. In so doing I relearned an important lesson that is really important for all of us if we are willing to consider it.

Luke 2:46

After three days they found him in the temple, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. (ESV)

Regardless of His age, why would the Son of God spend His limited, precious time on earth sitting with the religious teachers of the stubborn, defeated people God chose to bring a light into the world; much less listen and ask them questions? He obviously knew far more than they did. Other Biblical text goes on to say that the religious teachers and others who were present were amazed at His understanding and wisdom as a child.

Some folks suggest it was His status as being both a young human and God and that may be part of it. It seems more likely to me that He was doing what better teachers do; listening and engaging to develop relationships and understanding with those around Him; building credibility of sorts. From that “lesser” position He might have hoped to influence their thoughts and beliefs by asking questions that had the benefit of guiding the participants.

Which led me to,

Proverbs 20:5

The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out. (ESV)

Most people keep their innermost thoughts and beliefs to themselves. It takes a person with a sincere desire to listen to understand and care to bring them out of that tightly guarded place. Coincidently, that is Habit #5 in the late Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” – Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood.

In a sense, all of the 7 Habits that Covey provided are Biblically inspired and supported in my opinion. They also work well in this life in many applications. I personally benefitted because I bought into them at one of the lowest periods in my life at 40 years of age. I saw the parallels with them and The Word… and sold out. I felt the contents of that book and subsequent training was provided for me personally as I was retooling spiritually as well as in my career.

Everything changed for the better. I learned I really needed to listen and care about what others thought and had to say, not just give it lip service. I needed to ask more questions and truly listen instead of being self centered and bull headed in my positions. The Lord used this changed attitude and approach to improve my ability to separate the wheat from the chaff as well as when to linger and when to depart in relationships. He imparted more of His understanding, wisdom and discernment. He obviously knew I badly needed it because I was a flat zero in that regard up to that point in my life. From there I learned to help others by asking leading questions for their thoughts instead of “telling” others what they “should” do, say or think. It helped my career blossom. It changed me spiritually and hopefully made me a better husband, father and friend.

I AM

This awakening led to acceptance deep within my being; not just of the words I read on pages from an old collection of books that some non-believers call fables. We know that the Hebrew term of YHWH is synonymous with I AM WHO I AM, which was stated by God Himself to Moses in Exodus 3:14. Knowing that led me to the following. All scripture from this point on will be in the King’s English (KJV) some readers prefer.

John 8:58

Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.

I learned the truth that Jesus really is God come to earth. He is The Word as The Word states. It became time for me to personally and spiritually mature in my own life before I could help others better understand who He is; which is The Way, The Truth, and The Life stated later in John 14:6. He stated in that scripture that He is the only path to God the Father.

John 14:6

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Well, there it is again.

This opens it up to the next leading question. Do you want to live eternally with a gracious, loving God in heaven? Jesus taught all of us how. However, that came after He listened to mankind first. Then He would ask leading questions; the ones you read throughout the New Testament of the Holy Bible. The answers led to the key truths of our existence. Yet, many miss those two little words of identification that provide His full authority as God. To fully understand it you need to know deep within you the meaning of Peter’s response. From Matthew 15:15-16,

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And once again…I am.

That was a leading question from the Creator and Savior of the universe that led to the equally great understanding and acknowledgement of who He is as well as the standing of Peter (us).

To conclude these observations, there is this from the back of The Book – Revelation 1:8,

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

You either believe Jesus or you do not. If you do not, just know that you do not receive the benefits of the relationship without the acknowledgement and acceptance of the forever binding contract (covenant) with YHWH that provides release from this earthly prison when you breathe your last breath. You get what you get for as long as you are here. If you do believe and accept Him, the great part is you pay nothing when you sign on. It is free and it provides the immediate release from your bondage to your personal screw ups and death. He paid the cost of entry for you.

My Next Assignment

I will be continuing to help homeschool Grandson #1 and it is likely that Grandson #2 will be coming online with that route later this year. Another primary reason is the Lord has placed on my heart to prepare for a deeper dive into The Word as I respond to His call to mentor and teach in our church. We are in the midst of a building project that is designed to specifically house our rapidly growing children and youth ministries. Upon completion, one aspect of it will lead to Christian homeschooling support groups for children of local families as well as an expanded Parents Day Out program.

Reengaging my desire and ability to employ Habit #5 will not only serve the children and youth better in this initiative of the church; it will be of major benefit to time starved working parents, grandparents and guardians. Once the trust and credibility is built, I hope to help in whatever way the Lord directs my path. Daughter has already signed on to do her part as a Pre-K teacher, which she currently does at another church.

It has not been lost on me that I did not have access to any of this type assistance as a young person. This lack of availability and access proved detrimental to my life into adulthood as well as to others around me with whom I interacted. I want far better for our kids, to give them a leg up in a challenging, sometimes difficult world in which live.

But, there is more. There is a SBC church that has been dying that is located between three thriving SBC churches within a five mile radius. The dying church has a good facility that at one time housed the largest congregation in our area. However, the church leaders during those days felt they needed to build a new, even larger facility on a more accessible major highway nearby. Their congregation was outgrowing the old facility. Once completed the majority of the congregation left for the new location while about 150 stayed. Those who left were proven accurate in their prediction and the new location now has about 2000 members and is still growing strongly. It also provides a playground, soccer fields, and walking trail that our entire community utilizes.

Over the decades that followed the membership that stayed at the former location has slowly dwindled to the point it became difficult to retain even a part time pastor. Today, there are only 11 members in the church that once had over 500. Part of the decline has been due to the strong success of the other three churches. Part is due to a lack of leadership and direction within its congregation. It is a sad situation for us personally as it was in that church that Daughter accepted Christ as her Savior as a young girl visiting their Vacation Bible School. She was baptized there a few weeks later. It was the only VBS she ever attended at a different church or denomination than our former UMC location.

Our three Senior Pastors and church leaders are focused on building the kingdom for Christ, not personal careers and preferences. As a result we will be in partnership together as we commit financial resources, staffing and congregational support to the troubled church. An energetic pastor who has been a local resident for over twenty years has stepped forward and assumed the role. A number of current members in each of our three thriving congregations will be moving to the subject church to seed its revival and ministry into our community, reaching more people for Christ. The intention is to serve the restarted church for six months to a year before returning to home churches as desired.

Our church leaders listened first to understand. They responded to the need as Jesus instructed all of us to do.

Somewhere in there is where the Lord will likely be leading us to serve. Whether it be to help build the children and youth homeschooling ministries where we are, or, charting a new path to the reseeded church. We will listen first and respond as Isaiah did in 6:8,

And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” (ESV)

YHWH has a plan. I need more time to prepare for my role in whatever it is as well as be a good husband, dad, papaw and patriot. I will end this series with this simple statement and question asked by Abraham in Genesis 18:25,

That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

For you, my friends…

Your Turn

It is your time. As I mentioned beginning a month ago there are a number of you who already possess the skillset to do these Dailies very well. You will have the support of all of us. There are so many paths you can take and it does not have to be elaborate. I just ask that you consider letting Wolf know of your willingness to do so. He has provided a beautiful place to spend your time and his leadership for it will prove fruitful.

Be blessed everybody. In God We Trust. Also, trust Trump and the plan, the Golden Age awaits.

Change can happen – and change can be good!

Think about it!

AND don’t forget our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

There will be changes on this site as well, because – well – 250 years tells us it’s time for some changes. You will hear about changes soon. Because we listen to God, these will be good changes, in the bigger scheme of things.

Meanwhile, some things will remain familiar. Like remembering Wheatie.

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread remains open – VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

And yes, it’s Monday…again.

But we WILL get through it!

We will always remember Wheatie,

Pray for Trump,

Yet have fun,

and HOLD ON when things get crazy!

We will follow the RULES of civility that Wheatie left for us:

Wheatie’s Rules:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

And while we engage in vigorous free speech, we will remember Wheatie’s advice on civility, non-violence, and site unity:

“We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.”

“Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.”

If this site gets shut down, please remember various ways to get back in touch with the rest of the gang:

Our beloved country is STILL under DIRECT THREATS by hostile forces – notably COMMUNISTS – and they’re HERE IN AMERICA.

Daily outrage and commie phuckery still abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Commies won’t win!

And we will keep saying COMMIES OUT until we get their FRAUD and INSANITY out of our country!

A Fantastic Analysis of TRANS, Democrats, and Sovietism, Which is Tied to the Ohio Governor’s Race

This is on Twitter/X. As you dig back in time, it just gets better.

Note what the Dems are doing with Amy Acton. They are pretending to stand up to the PROGZIS, but they can’t be trusted to really do it, IMO. They got the progzis to shut up in this case. Why? How? What deals were made?

Cunning.

Transgenderism is an uncontrolled society-scaled experiment in conformity and obedience: a test of how far you can make people parrot absurdities, inflict cruelties, collude with unrealities, and ostracize and punish people for things they do not themselves believe.

It is a test of whether the moral self-abasements and routine betrayals that occurred in the Soviet Bloc with its secret police and political prisons and armies of informants could be replicated in liberal, democratic, and pluralistic societies that lacked this formal apparatus of repression: whether minor rewards and punishments could force people to punish people for stating the most self-evident of all truths and inspire them to cheer on the chemical castration and dismemberment of their own children. It is a test of whether civil liberties organization could be twisted into instruments of state repression and human rights groups instruments of defamation and violence against women.

It is a test that most of the Western world is failing.

I think we would be surprised at how many people would quietly start to come out in support, if they were given “permission” by the public figures they rely on to open Overton Windows for them. That is pathetic, cowardly, lazy, & self-interested, because they are often consumed with how they appear to the people around them, rather than forming their own opinions & standing by their own beliefs, but it is the reality of many of our fellow citizens. If they feel they have “permission” to support initiatives that protect the rights & dignity of females, I think the minority of vocal, unreasonable & zealous lunatics who’ve pushed this madness on us would start be increasingly marginalized, finding themselves with less power to shape the public discourse & public consciousness over the trans issue. I have myself experienced a few people who quietly, discreetly told me they agree with me that women & girls should have their own sports & spaces, but they would never tell other people. It was only after I experienced social punishment for expressing my opinions that they briefly mumbled they “kind of agreed.”
People are cowards. They are afraid to form & stand by their own beliefs because they value social standing more than personal autonomy & the integrity that comes with being principled; more comfortable instead with social consensus & being included in the group. But, if the conversation shifts publicly, lead by people who are safer to express public opinions, the tide will change.

A Democrat running for governor of Ohio has declared “I do not support boys playing in girls sports. This is already settled law in Ohio, and as governor I will enforce and uphold the law.”

The way for Democrats to neutralize the trans issue is to co-opt GOP positions on sports, private spaces, child transition, and compelled speech, supporting the removal of gender ideology instruction from schools, bans on child transition, and the removal of recognition of gender identity in law at every level of state, local, and federal government.

Everybody wants to think there is some other way. But there is no other way.

Crossing a State Line Shouldn’t Cost You Your Right to Self-Defense

The right of self-defense shouldn’t stop at the border, especially for Americans who have already proven themselves to be law-abiding.

Imagine a woman driving across state lines alone at night, fearful that her car might break down and leave her vulnerable. Or picture a truck driver hauling valuable cargo across the country. In states such as California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Oregon—five of the ten states that refuse to recognize concealed handgun permits from other states—these travelers can find themselves defenseless. Nine states also either deny non-residents permits altogether or make them extremely difficult to obtain.

Last week, President Trump again called for passage of national concealed carry reciprocity. The legislation would allow anyone legally permitted to carry a concealed handgun in their home state to carry across state lines, much as Americans use their driver’s licenses nationwide. The legislation would affect millions of law-abiding Americans.

Much of the gun-control debate centers on hypothetical risks. With reciprocity, however, we don’t have to speculate. With 21.5 million concealed handgun permit holders in the United States, we already know how they behave. In addition, most Americans already benefit from reciprocity. The average state recognizes permits from 30 other states, allowing permit holders to travel legally with their firearms.

Last year, when the House Judiciary Committee passed national reciprocity along party lines, Democrats also opposed legislation that would allow current and retired law enforcement officers with at least ten years of service to carry firearms in facilities open to the public—including schools—while traveling across the country. Given their fear that allowing experienced current or retired law enforcement officers to carry would endanger public safety, it comes as no surprise that they also oppose allowing civilians to carry across state lines.

Congressional opponents of reciprocity warned that permit holders would commit crimes but cited no evidence to support that claim. The facts point in the opposite direction. Concealed handgun permit holders are extraordinarily law-abiding. States revoke their permits for firearm-related violations at rates measured in thousandths—or even ten-thousandths—of one percent. Police officers rarely commit firearm crimes, yet permit holders lose their permits for firearm offenses at only about one-twelfth the rate at which police are convicted of firearm-related crimes.

“This legislation is a dramatic infringement on states’ rights,” claimed Emma Brown, executive director of the gun-control group Giffords, echoing a common criticism. Yet those same organizations routinely advocate federal gun-control laws that override state policy choices.

Opponents also claimed that national reciprocity would confuse travelers about which gun laws apply in each state and lead to more arrests. But reciprocity already exists across much of the country, and no evidence shows that out-of-state permit holders create such problems. Indeed, the same situation exists for drivers when they cross state lines: They are required to follow the driving regulations for the state they are in.

Critics also argue that permit standards vary from state to state. Yet no evidence shows that states with less restrictive permitting systems experience higher permit revocation rates.

Despite these fears, more than 86 percent of police chiefs and sheriffs support national reciprocity, and over 90 percent of rank-and-file officers support concealed carry laws. These officers see firsthand how concealed carry works in practice. They understand that police deter crime, but they also know they usually arrive after the crime has begun. Victims often must defend themselves first. Consistent with that experience, the overwhelming weight of academic research finds that allowing law-abiding citizens to carry concealed handguns reduces crime.

With tens of millions of Americans legally carrying concealed handguns over many decades, if opponents could identify even dozens of cases in which out-of-state permit holders created serious problems, their concerns would deserve careful consideration. They cannot. Such cases remain exceedingly rare. Americans do not need to guess whether gun-control advocates’ concerns are justified.

Carrying a firearm provides the greatest benefit to those who face the largest physical disadvantages—women and the elderly—and to those who face the highest risk of violent crime, including many poor black residents of high-crime neighborhoods. Not surprisingly, these groups have accounted for the largest percentage growth in permit ownership over the past decade. Between 2015 and 2024, permits held by women grew 112 percent faster than those held by men, while permits held by black Americans grew 284 percent faster than those held by whites.

Real life is not the movies. Most women cannot overpower several larger, stronger men, no matter how well-trained they are. Men also generally possess greater upper-body strength and speed.

A firearm changes that equation. It gives women a far more effective means of self-defense. If an attacker has already closed the distance enough to seize a woman’s firearm, she is already in grave danger regardless.

Peer-reviewed research finds that allowing concealed carry reduces murder rates for both men and women. The reduction for women, however, is roughly three to four times larger than the reduction for men.

The House will likely pass national reciprocity, but it faces a steeper challenge in the Senate. Breaking the expected Democratic filibuster will require 60 votes, meaning at least seven Democratic senators must cross party lines. Those senators need only examine their own states’ experience. Six states represented by 12 Democratic senators—Arizona, Georgia, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Virginia—already recognize concealed handgun permits from every other state. None has seen a problem with reciprocity.

Police play an indispensable role in public safety. But around 700,000 officers cannot protect over 340 million Americans everywhere at once. Congress should ensure that law-abiding Americans do not lose their ability to defend themselves simply by crossing a state line.

Dear MAGA: 20260709 ✾ Thank God ± Theistic Evolution ∈ Thursday Open Topic

This man, making Christmas calls from the White House, believes the world is a sphere. And he has even flown around it! So has our beautiful FLOTUS, who happens to be his wife!

Truth and common sense must be valued by us, as individuals, in order to lastingly disempower the authoritarian fake news media. This includes the perniciously smarmy science media, which never answers for its errors and lies. I believe that the media has been responsible not only for leftist pathologies like scientism, medical fascism, and radical gender ideology, but also for reactionary movements like modern flat Earth, rejection of all medicine, and Biblical geological literalism.

Just as Wheatie’s Stormwatch Monday Open Thread was created as a place for people to openly express their thoughts and opinions, so, too, is this Thank God Thursday Open Thread, where honest but civil discussion of all topics is encouraged. This thread is also to be known as Theistic Evolution Thursdays, due to the author’s expected “pontification” about his scientific, religious, and political opinions. You are welcome to pontificate back! Free speech matters!

Please label all AI-generated content as being such, unless it is patently obvious (e.g., humorous AI images). It is important that we as individuals not begin to pretend that socially derived artificial intelligence is actually our own, as this form of stealthy social information averaging and feedback would be one more pretense and deception between people, in service of stupid Marxist socialism, and of those who wish to substitute their communally protected lies for actual truth.

The source of alleged truth matters, not for the truth itself, but for validation.

And yes, it’s THURSDAY…again.

And that’s it. We’re done stealing from Wheatie.

OK – maybe her rules need to be posted.

  • No food fights.
  • No running with scissors.
  • If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.

Other rules may be derivable from these, and that conjecture is left for discussion.

If there is nothing beyond the “W” below, then this is a placeholder. For health reasons, I can’t always post a timely opinion before each Thursday, but I will try. Otherwise, you have this placeholder post, where YOU provide the content. Enjoy!

2026.07.07 Daily Thread: The World According to Trade(Bait)

I hope all enjoyed the outstanding 250th celebration of Independence Day! It was a very special day in the Trade home. The grill was sizzlin’ as is the heat in this neck of the woods. Spent the evening watching the DC celebration on TV while Daughter and family enjoyed the area fireworks show on their boat out on the local lake. We went outside this evening some as well since the fireworks around us were pretty special. It went on until about 2:30 AM. It has been so hot and humid you could cut the air with a knife even at midnight.

Quick Berberine Update

Following up on last week’s health update, I wanted to bring up a product wifey has started taking instead of the NOW version of Berberine with a separate cinnamon supplement. The positive results hit quickly. If it meets your budget try the following:

It absorbs into your system easier and more quickly. It has the ceylon cinnamon and milk thistle supplements in the same capsule. It’s still relatively early in her retooling, but it sure looks she is saying buh-bye to Amlodipine for good. BP is great everyday and no spikes in months.

Past Independence Day Celebrations

Casting aside the times of my youth that were painful, the good times we had as a family and community have me reminiscing. I began thinking back and remembering the July 4th tradition our family had that was inspired by my WW II veteran father when I was a growing up in the Middie land of southwest Ohio. Even in an active battle zone of a home from warring parents at times, which lasted until his death; around the 4th it was a simpler time of fun, laughter and no responsibility. There were also specific orders to not get in too much trouble, which I managed to disobey a time or two. 😇

I remember the splashing of water from garden hoses and slip ‘n’ slides on the ground in the yard. Water balloon fights were held when it was more fun to lose than win. A game of Jarts (lawn darts) would threaten to poke holes in young bodies, but was fun none the less.

Cornhole of today is just a wussy version of Jarts of yesteryear.

At some point in the day there would be an ice cream or popsicle. Like most days in summer, there would always be the climbs to the top of the maple tree in the front yard. Funny, we never heard any parent say not to do it or we might fall and break our necks. Folks seem to let kids be kids more and none of us fell out of the tree. Jumped – yes. Fell – no.

😄

Then there were the bike races up and down the sidewalks terrorizing the neighborhood. There were the clothes pins that attached baseball cards that made the spokes on the wheels give off slapping noises to help mimic a loud exhaust of the muscle car or Harley in our young imaginations. Sometimes we would hit the the monkey bars at the playground of our school down the street. It was open to the public everyday, no attorneys to kill the fun and make the school put up fences to keep us out. When dinner would roll around there were picnics with lots of choices.

None of the parents were worried that something bad would happen to us. People were different back then. I am sure bad things happened occasionally in some places, but we were unaware. We had the run of the whole area as kids and nobody ever got hurt beyond a scrapped knee or accosted by a pervert. The adults seemed to always look out for one another’s kids anyway. Nobody was a afraid of being sued or falsely accused of a crime. So many of the fathers were military veterans. Messing with the kids would not be on any wannabe thug’s or pervert’s dance card.

One 4th celebration we visited the new Armco Park as a family; a company owned recreation park for employees of the old Armco Steel Company. Steel mill friends of my dad would gather there and invited us to tag along. They cooked out on grills while families enjoyed all the fun things to do. It was there that I ate my first grilled spare rib and it was heaven. They had a 100+ acre lake in which to fish and ride pedal boats. It was a nice environment to walk hiking trails and play on the softball fields. The park still exists. It was sold to the county a couple of decades ago by the Japanese corporate majority owner of Armco. A link about the park is below.

It was also there that I first grabbed a golf club and played their short executive course with my dad and some of his work friends. I never forgot it. I was hooked even though I knew we would never be able to afford for me to play. It inspired me to be a 12 year old caddie at a local golf club near our house. It was the only time I caddied while not really knowing anything about how to do it. It rained like crazy and the golfers quit after 7 holes. Caddies were paid only by tips and I received nothing, which is exactly what I deserved. The golf bag felt like it weighed as much as I did and I ruined a pair of shoes in that rain. I never went back, the experience was miserable along with my caddying.

Our rites of summer around the 4th always included a pick up baseball or softball game that would get going with the adults choosing sides. Paper plates would serve as bases. The team with the youngest players always won – wink, wink. The fireworks would start with sparklers, firecrackers, black cats, M80’s, and bottle rockets. It was amazing what could happen when they were stuffed into empty Coke bottles. 😂 If our parents could manage the time with wild children running everywhere, we would go to a park area in town where the city would have a fireworks show.

Other evenings around the 4th and in the summer would bring a quieter time in our home’s small sun room. Dad’s Zenith multi-band radio sat out there in warmer weather months. Each evening in the summer and especially around the 4th we would gather around the radio and listen to a Cincinnati Reds game on whichever assigned radio station of the team for the year – WKRC, WCKY or WLW – unless they were playing on the west coast. We did not have air conditioning back then; but did have a fan, Cokes, and the cool of nightfall to help us enjoy the evenings. If the game was boring or out west and on too late for me to stay up, the fireflies (lightning bugs) out in the back yard would keep us entertained until it was time to hit the sack.

I wonder why it all seemed so right? Hmmm…

Public Service Announcement

IT IS TIME TO BUILD THINGS AGAIN, AMERICA!!!

In those days – the late 50’s into the 60’s – America was about building, exploring, innovating. We still had pride in our country and people. We worked TOGETHER. Well, at least until the globalist cabal scum and neocons with the help of the clowns, murderers, race hustlers and thieves took control of our government and media. In the process they shipped a lot of our younger working age men to southeast Asia to die or drug themselves into oblivion.

See how that works? Don’t fall for it again, America. Head down, eyes on the prize. The Golden Age awaits. Instead, let’s go back to rewarding character, hard work, and using intelligence that is useful to humanity. Let’s defend against overreach of government tyrants and those who would use and abuse. Let’s introduce true justice for all and have stiff penalties for those who commit acts against this nation and its citizens. Let’s ignore or even ridicule the propagandists along with the fake judges. Let’s focus on substance, not silliness and minutia. Let’s center ourselves on what God would approve and whole lot less on carnal desires. Let’s also spend more time on enjoying our lives and each other.

Back To The Story

College and the Arkansas misfire years brought very few memories of activities around the 4th. An occasional fun charity golf tournament or barbecue outing would occur, but life there was not focused on celebrating our nation and its independence. That was probably because there were so many Democrats in the state back then. 😂

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2026/06/poll-finds-only-27-percent-democrats-plan-display

Fortunately, the Huckabee’s and other We the People patriots reversed the Arkansas curse of Demoncraps in control and keeping the state from fulfilling its promise.

Moving to my beloved hills of east Tennessee and later marrying the love of my life, the stars began to align as they should. People here were far more patriotic and wanting to celebrate. There were huge fireworks shows in the city along with the famous annual 4th of July music celebration with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra at the former World’s Fair site that is still a thing today. Country music stars and tourists poured into the area. Some stars performed outside Dollywood in Patriot Park among other venues that were followed by fireworks shows. Tennessee is known as the “Volunteer State” for good reasons. Patriot pride runs deep and has served our nation well over centuries.

Even our neighborhood got together around the 4th. One year a recently divorced neighbor friend opened his property for all of us. He had 40 acres with horses for the kids to ride. We gathered at his place and nuked some burgers on the gas grill. Everybody brought covered dishes and the kids played outside until it was time to light sparklers and firecrackers in the evening. Wifey and I were inside our friend’s home talking with neighbors when our young daughter came in with big eyes and said, “Fire!” We all laughed and told her that, yes, those were sparklers and the grill was smoking; that all was OK. She shook her head and said, “No – fire!” and pointed toward a field beside the home.

Yup, the kids had set the brush on fire throwing sparklers and firecrackers around. It had been a dry period and conditions were prime for a wildfire. All of the adults sprang into action and got the water hoses going while putting out all of the sparklers. Our friend, who was in law enforcement, called the area’s volunteer fire department to make sure. So the kids were treated to the firemen and fire engines, which they thought was the coolest thing ever. When finished the firemen stopped to enjoy the scene with the kids, showing them the equipment and letting them activate the siren and lights. The food and beverages were made available and enjoyed by all.

When we got home that evening Daughter looked at both of us and said, “See, told ya there was a fire.” She has never let us live it down. However, I concede the little booger might have prevented a much bigger problem from happening.

😂

Special Salute To Vets

I am going to focus on one who I knew the best, however, please know that our family has the deepest respect for every man and woman who has served our nation in uniform. God bless all of you.

In my Veteran’s Day story about our fathers, I did not know what I have since discovered in research concerning my father’s service in the Naval Air Force in the Japanese theater of WW II. He never completely opened up about those days. He was always modest about himself, his accomplishments and connections in life, so it is not all that surprising. I think I now know more about why.

Soon after the victory by our forces at the massive bloodbath known as Okinawa, Dad’s wing was assigned to the air base established on that Pacific island. I have a dozen old photos he took of it while stationed there. He was a radar/radioman/electrician on the newly revamped PB4Y-2 Privateer bomber that had a crew of eight. There are lots of photos of it and his mates. The Privateer was first derived from the B-24 Liberator used in the German theater. With this upgraded version they were assigned patrol and bombing duties of shipping routes along the coasts of Korea and China. In 1945 there were only a small number of the planes placed into service as the design and manufacture was still being adapted and performance monitored before going into full production. It was designed to excel in low altitude flying conditions when they targeted ships with new radar guided glide bombs. Basically, the wing of bomber personnel Dad was assigned to were the flight and electronic beta testing (guinea pigs) for this redesigned plane. There were reasons to believe the plane would perform well, but nothing was known with certainty yet.

Each plane had a dozen 50 caliber guns and was able to take on Japanese fighters successfully. As you might guess the primary gunner was nicknamed “Gunny” and Dad had previously told me he was quite good at his role along with the pilot. He never expanded on his role, but Dad had been trained to employ their Electronic CounterMeasures (ECM) that could detect enemy radar and communications. I found his training manual and designation in his old military records. ECM was critical to their survival due to the low altitudes they flew in their assignments. It turns out Dad’s proficiency probably contributed greatly to his crew mates survival and mission success. Growing up, I always wondered how he developed an uncanny ability to isolate his concentration on one thing when everything around him was in chaos. Finding this information and learning more was a light bulb moment for me all these years later.

After learning those things I dug deeper into historical naval reports and discovered that safe returns were not always the case with others in their wing. For example there were three flight crews in his wing that performed similar missions that were lost in the same month of July 1945. Two were lost after successfully bombing Japanese ships, but went down in the ensuing battle. They were lost off the Korean coastline. The other was lost after a run somewhere further out to sea. There were no survivors in any of the three.

He never discussed any of that. When I asked he would just say their crew was assigned patrol. Based on the old photos that he took from the plane as well as of his crew mates, there was much more that he just did not want to discuss. He had even taken a couple of aerial photos of Nagasaki post Fat Man (atomic bomb) that was dropped by that B-29 Superfortress. Dad’s crew were assigned patrol in the area afterwards. There were many photos of life in Shanghai, China, including some of the locals, residences and other buildings. He preferred to focus on the good and just did not want to go into detail about the dangers and horrors of war he experienced, which was typical of him. He saw himself as a protector of his family and friends living his own predestined life until it was time for it to end.

He did say he was just doing his job and what was right. Most of his mates were like him in that they were just kids when they enlisted, however, many came out scarred and hardened men. In contrast I appreciate the kindness my father openly displayed with everybody even more now than I did when he was alive. He let many of the hits of life slide off his back including the issues with his mentally ill wife, my mother, who made all of our lives miserable at times. This is one extremely thankful and proud son who can always look back and be confident that I loved, honored and respected my father while he was alive. That continues with his memory. Wifey felt the same way about him as he was always kind and helpful to her. She knew she was loved. I felt the same about her awesome veteran father.

These revelations from the research have brought added meaning to that folded flag from his military honors burial ceremony that is on display in our home. We take comfort in knowing he along with her father helped America achieve its 250th birthday and miss them both every single day.

Greatest generation, indeed.

It’s Your Turn

This would be a good time for me to conclude and open the thread to comments for all of you to share your experiences and memories of this very important holiday in our nation’s history.

Happy 250th birthday, America! May God bless and protect this nation for as long as time exists.

Always remember JFK’s famous quote – “And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country.

Change can happen – and change can be good!

Think about it!

AND don’t forget our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

There will be changes on this site as well, because – well – 250 years tells us it’s time for some changes. You will hear about changes over the next couple of weeks.

  • a phrase that clickbait loves to use in YouTube thumbnails
  • a phrase that typically means something is finished or done, permanently changed, now impossible, etc., although it may mean little or nothing

Used in a sentence

As for the word of the week feature, enjoy the final one for now, because it’s over. I want to shift my time toward more topical things, useful in the fight against communism.

Dear MAGA: 20260702 ✾ Thank God ± Theistic Evolution ∈ Thursday Open Topic

Enjoy!

On the semi-Q-centennial

As our nation’s 250th birthday approaches in just hours, I wish to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who is reading this, for being here.

Many others have come and gone, but you have remained. You have persisted. You have persevered.

The Q movement is/was/will be a worthy endeavor. I find it somewhat humorous to say that, when we’re not fully sure what the Q op actually was, or who was ultimately behind it, but I do know this – the Trump administration “played ball with Q” very well, and continues to do so.

The fact that you chose to take part in this thing, despite not knowing exactly what you were signing up for, and that you ultimately did bear whatever costs you incurred for following Q, is something that I admire, and it is why I respect YOU, as an individual.

I love the fact that the Trump administration is now not only openly referencing the Q postings and movement memes, but has strongly linked “Q” to “quantum”. You should note that the word “quantum” never appears in any of the Q drops. I find that fascinating in a good and perhaps very professional way.

Of course, everything “Q clearance” is deeply tied to quantum mechanics, so I’m not particularly surprised that “Q” is now being linked to “quantum science” – including quantum computing. We are in exciting times, and our VSG POTUS has fully embraced the “big Q” of science.

There may be more surprises in store. Enjoy the show!

As you celebrate this weekend, please say a prayer for those members of our crew who are no longer with us, and particularly those who are no longer in this world with us. I will start with a few pictures – feel free to add the others that I have forgotten – both their screen names and any memorial images you can suggest.

They were patriots. Remember that!

May those who have passed, all rest easy with The Lord and the God of Our Fathers in Heaven.

2026.06.30 Daily Thread: The World According to Trade(Bait)

From John 13:34 (KJV),

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Note: It is a commandment from the Lord Jesus toward the end of his ministry on earth, so it is pretty important to pay attention. It is also consistent with Old Testament scripture instruction, as He always is. We must love one another. That means we pull out all of the stops for the benefit of one another. No holding back, do just as He does for us. That type of love is intentional, it requires action, it requires giving of ourselves even when it us uncomfortable or even painful.

The cause of Christ cannot be advanced without loving one another as He loved us. Take note, America.

For there is no other way, just trust and obey…

Final Health Updates

Since my authoring is winding down, I thought it would be helpful for some on here for me to update the health situations and progress of wifey and I that are connected to past posts. I apologize in advance for the length of this daily, but there is much to discuss. I hope the information proves helpful to you.

Wifey

As some may remember, my rock star wife went through a rough random eye infection upon return from our Fall Frolic the year Helene hit the area in 2024. The infection that caused the corneal ulcer was a small, white blob in one eye and lab tests were inconclusive. A series of antibiotic drops were prescribed and over several months cleared the infection. However, she had serious lingering vision issues and recovery was slow. After healing the infection her vision only returned to 20/60 corrected using her recently prescribed, pre-infection lenses. She had floaters along with cataracts that the ophthalmologist wanted to correct. Wifey was reluctant due to family members who had limited success with the procedure as well as her being allergic to latex, despite assurances from the doc they could adjust. She has minimal trust in the medical community, so that went nowhere fast.

She told the doc she wanted to try some things first and if she could not improve it, she would consent. He agreed (what else could he say?), but to check back in 6-8 months so that the eyes did not decline too far to be of assistance. We could tell he was skeptical. He looked at me and said, “She is one tough lady, isn’t she?” I just nodded affirmatively. However, that is the moment she decided to take my research about the issues and recommendations to heart. God led her to conclude she should go a different way. Some of the supporting information came from sources and linked information on here for which we are very grateful.

Never discount the value of your contributions to readers, my friends.

I posted awhile back that we both were using DMSO eye drops. I have slowed the use in recent months, but for over a year now wifey has continued twice per day applications of a 25% concentration with saline or distilled water while using sterile bottles/droppers. She takes a one week break every couple of months, then restarts. In recent months she has added a high quality castor oil that she lightly rubs on the eyelids at bedtime. She has also participated with me in the parasite cleanse using the IVM/Mebendazole combination last summer and an IVM cleanse in the past couple of months.

I am very happy to report that over that period, her vision returned to its formerly good, pre-infection condition. She is now 20/20 corrected with the same lenses. She does not need distance correction, only for reading. Of course this did not happen through traditional means or medicine.

We utilize a highly competent optometry practice. Our chosen optometrist in the practice and assigned tech were amazed at the results after the comprehensive exam that included extensive imaging this month. The doc knew the condition of the previously affected eye as she helped deal with the original infection before passing the case to the ophthalmologist. The formation of cataracts has actually been stopped in its tracks and may have receded somewhat. She no longer has floaters at all. Her eye health has improved to the point of the highly desired “see you in a year unless you need us” stage. That’s a massive win.

But there is MOAR!

Combined with dietary changes described below and daily walks; there has been an interesting, fantastic development. One day she forgot to bring her eyeglasses when we went grocery shopping. Her vision had improved to the point she simply forgot to wear them. It was a sunny day and she put on some wrap sunglasses that cover the eyeglasses that were in the truck. To cut to the chase, her forever present vertigo/Menere’s Disease symptoms disappeared. As I drove I was quietly shocked and secretly elated. No more jumps, twists and and yelps from the passenger seat when big trucks were near or a car approached from another direction at an intersection. Just calm, peaceful riding for a half hour each way.

As we pulled into our driveway, I mentioned it to her and she smiled. She noticed it as well. Now when we go places she may leave her glasses on or take them off if she detects the problem kicking in. Regardless, the trips are much more relaxed and easier on both of us. She had experienced the car motion induced vertigo issues for decades. At one time it got so bad that as a teenager, Daughter had stopped wanting to go on vacations with us because of the distraction and angst.

Gone. PTL!

Trade’s Results

My eye exam was much improved as well. The supposed early cataract formation of a half dozen years ago that my retina specialist diagnosed actually never formed. The dry form macular degeneration diagnosed over a dozen years ago never actually worsened. The floaters have been gone for some time. I did the DMSO off and on for about 6 months once a day. For me the driver for improvement has primarily been IVM, although I am confident the DMSO assisted to some degree. My vision had not changed over the past three years.

After over a year of experimenting by returning to normal lens, I found that the prism lens prescribed for me a few years ago by the old binocular vision specialist doc who helped Grandson #1 so much, were very beneficial in drawing my weak eye with the alleged worse dry macular degeneration back into more balanced vision. As a result I added the prisms back with the new glasses and am gradually adjusting to them very well.

At about 10 years old parasites of some sort got in my eyes; worse in one than the other. From family history records I learned I was given antibiotic drops that were manufactured by Schering-Plough, which was later acquired by Merck. During that time is when the optometrist determined I also had a “lazy eye” in the worse infected one and gave me exercises to retrain it. Whatever was prescribed did clear the infection, but I never really had normal use of the eye and over time I became strongly one eye dominant. The vision in both eyes remained 20/20, so I really did not know to be tested further. I just knew that as a teenager, my vision in baseball and later as an adult in golf was somewhat negatively affected. This was especially true with poor peripheral vision in one eye and was very apparent in vision tests as I hit middle age.

Based on recent exams I am starting to believe that old binocular vision doc knew what he was talking about when he told me I did not have macular degeneration. My symptoms could appear to be MD to other docs, however, it seems to me it is the aftermath from that parasite caused infection as a child. If it is dry MD, there should be even slow progression of the condition. There has not been. It has been in a stable state for a dozen years.

This probably gives credence to how my vision always becomes much sharper the day after taking IVM and why the floaters and early stage formation of cataracts disappeared after using it and DMSO drops. Improvement in eye performance would not be as likely for a MD sufferer. With no changes in the prescribed lenses for vision in three years, I may be on to something good. Will continue to monitor.

I also used a DMSO/aloe vera concoction described below for a couple of months on two stiff, arthritic fingers on one hand that bugged me for years. The condition is gone – no more stiffness.

I still have a bit of tinnitus in one ear that was left over from the Wuhan. The externally applied DSMO method treatment has not impacted it one way or the other. Chiropractic adjustment cut the ringing back about 50% which has been most appreciated. It appears to be nerve/CNS related in some manner. I have no restrictions in movement, so I can turn my head 90 degrees one way and it reduces. I can turn my head the other way and it slightly increases. Weird. Will keep looking at options for improvement.

Together…

For the record we no longer have the need to use the excellent chiropractor that helped restore our alignment. She did a great job. All is well and being maintained. However, if needed we will not hesitate to return.

Recently, from recommendations of a couple of knowledgeable medical authors, I concocted a DMSO/pure Aloe Vera gel/essential oil blend to use for arthritis and joint inflammation issues. Wifey also has been using the DMSO with castor oil or my concoction for her arthritic hands/fingers as well as surgically repaired knee. There has been strong improvement in flexibility and appearance. My own flexibility in the lumbar region where I have spinal bone spurs has also improved. Will see how it goes long term, I expect it to go well.

Not bad for a couple of seventy somethings. DMSO and IVM work for us, folks, and not just to ward off COVID with IVM. We will continue to use. Add in the benefits of the high quality castor oil.

IVM clearly works on parasites of various types throughout the body. Its use helps the immune system of the body to do its thing. Wifey uses for cleanses only unless she has a respiratory illness coming on. During her cleanses, she gets the yucky bowel movements associated with her sinus drainage as well as the parasite die off and release. She experiences the under the weather symptoms for a few days. Having already gone through that a couple years ago while continuing to use IVM prophylactically, I no longer experience much, if any, side effects.

The cleanses are possibly contributing to wifey’s lack of vertigo along with the eye improvements. IVM has long been prescribed for river blindness. However, there may be another interesting connection. Over twenty years ago she had an allergist test and treat (shots) her allergies on two occasions and covering a period of five years. The shots provided modest benefits overall. However, from the testing we know she is very allergic to candida albicans, a fungal induced yeast, as well as specific molds, tree pollens, etc. Exposure causes her body to go into histamine overload. It added to her vertigo events due to sinus pressure. For years we kept an epipen handy as well as a bottle of Benadryl. A half dozen years ago her every day had an excessive amount of throat clearing from the sinus drainage. At one point she lost her voice from it for about 6 months. The drainage strongly affected her sleep. At times she was just miserable, in a state of just existing and trying to cope daily.

We live in an environment that has high fungal concentrations due to vegetation and climate. It is what it is and she has suffered all of her life from it. That is until the recent IVM related cleanses that also addressed gut health as a side benefit. Poor gut health can also add to the histamine imbalance. The intentional dietary changes of removing sugar, and addressing her eyes dramatically improved her situation. She is now off all antihistamine drugs and just uses Flonase for the pollen after living on Zyrtec D at times. Her condition is not perfect, but is greatly improved. Below are good summaries that I found informative and accurate about candida albicans.

While still on the subject of eyes, we spoke with the optometry practice staff as patients walked in and out after purchasing bottles of eye vitamins/supplements. We asked and a few buyers and the staff gave rave reviews. The practice did not try to sell it to us. They said they could not keep enough inventory to supply everybody. All three docs and the staff take them. The following is the product,

Turns out it can be ordered direct from the company or Amazon at the essentially the same price. We have been taking for most of this past month. My December follow up exam will determine any personal progress, however, I have reason to hope for a good outcome.

Which leads to the next bit of news. Wifey and I decided it was time to lose some weight for good. We want to be more active to keep up with the grandkids and for me to teach them the game of golf. It was back to full Keto time for me and modified Keto for her. Her goal was to weigh the same as when we married over 40 years ago. My goal was to get to my baseball playing weight in college. I had to lose a bit more than her as a percentage. We have both succeeded. The difference in our health and energy levels has been nothing short of amazing. I kept the exercise to moderate and never went hungry at all. By keeping it to about 6 lbs. per month my body adjusted well along the way. Again, it was about modifying my nutrition to fit my goals and my gut health; not about a diet.

We also wanted to do this to see the effects it had on our blood tests from our physicals. Cholesterol was creeping up each year with both of us, especially with wifey. Her glucose was nearly 20% above the healthy range to go with blood pressure issues that she has dealt with all of her adult life. Wifey also had the goal of weaning slowly off of Amlodipine and Hydrochlorothiazide. We had zero doubts that the former contributed to her cholesterol trending up through the years; it is a little discussed side effect. When she began taking it her cholesterol also began increasing and never decreased again even when controlling her weight and nutrition. She never has liked the way the meds made her feel, but felt she had no alternative. In a previous daily I stated that we felt traditional medicine had won this battle. It turns out it was only a short term benefit that led to even worse average BP and cholesterol as well as spikes in BP and heart rate.. Which would have eventually led to more Big Pharm solutions that would lead her closer to death.

Turns out there was a way for her to exit the “system” that often destroys. The first step was to stop blindly trusting traditional medicine and the related food pyramid. Do your own research and adapt to your situation. Second was to address the nutrition and get to a healthy weight. Third was addressing her eye issues. The eyes are not only the windows to the soul, they interconnect with all the sensory areas of the body. Fourth was to cleanse the body of parasites and work on related gut health. Gut health is not one size or type fits all. Fifth was to become more fit, get the blood circulating daily. The last was to find the right combo of supplements and vitamins that worked specifically for her as she weaned off Big Pharm.

Bingo. We found that last one in Berberine (NOW brand). Other brands may work as well. The BP fell almost immediately after she started on a one third daily dose of it along with her two prescribed meds. No more spikes at all. In fact her BP fell too far. Several mornings when she got up and tested she would be in low 90/low 50 range. So, she cut the doses of prescribed meds in half. Her BP moderated up to 110-120/65-70 and remained there. This went on for a few months with no troublesome spikes. Then she moved to a two thirds dose of Berberine and went off Amlodipine completely. Her BP and heart rate remained stabilized in the same range and she has continued to have zero troublesome spikes. She plans to dump the half dose of Hydrochlorothiazide soon. She will maintain the prescriptions as a precaution until she is in the clear.

All of that was going on at the same time as the DMSO, IVM, castor oil, weight loss, nutrition changes, fitness walks, and so on. Now she is going off the meds, uses Berberine, takes some multi-protein collagen (Ancient Nutrition brand) in her morning coffee, uses Flonase for allergies, no longer suffers vertigo on car trips, sleeps like a log, and smiles a whole lot more. In addition she takes a multi and recently, the VisionEdge Pro eye vitamins.

Happy wife, happy life. So proud of her resolve and success even if we did need to buy her a new wardrobe. It was not expensive, us old folks are not all that picky.

My supplements have been the collagen, Aubergine recommended Nattokinase along with Serrapeptase, and more recently a third of a dose of Berberine leading up to our blood tests. My plan was to get the blood test results I discuss below and adjust as needed. Through the years I have tried many vitamin combos. Currently I take the eye vitamin daily along with a multi or CoQ10 a couple times per week. I have not been ill for about 15 months after I made changes and did the initial Parasite Cleanse. I take a prophylactic dose of IVM biweekly and additional doses if I detect any respiratory issues. My BP and heart rate are fine and have been all of my life – generally in the 120/70 average with an average resting heart rate of 52. I take no prescription meds and only Flonase for allergies. I hit eject on antihistamines a year ago and could not be happier about it because it tells me the underlying causes for their need are being addressed well.

Our emphasis recently has been on gut health. Dr. Steven Gundry’s research and recommendations are highly credible in our minds. As a result of learning more and with the help of my Keto based nutrition I have been able to reduce lectins, which have been undermining my digestion for decades. Quite simply I did not need all of the fiber my physician as well as gastroenterologist recommended at my last colonoscopy. Scraping the walls of my intestines with more fiber was a bad idea for my gut type. If I had continued I would be in deep doodoo or as worm food.

😄

I was miserable at times and the practice was causing weight gain, bloating and constipation even with drinking large amounts of water. If I continued it would have led to far worse health outcomes. So, I changed in accordance to what I learned along the way and recently tested with Dr. Gundry’s research and information. So far, so good. Life has become much easier to live. Below is a link to one of his books.

Annual Wellness Physicals

After the usual instruction to draw a clock showing 11:10 (yes, the same time every year) and being given three simple words to remember and repeat to the PA later in the exam (one of us always gets “village, kitchen, baby”), the experience went well. We were very pleased with the attitudes of the providers this year. Somebody got through their heads that the patients are the bosses, not them. The real results of COVIDiocy and their patients ire about it may have inspired them to do better. They asked our level of interest in vaccines and tests instead of telling us we needed to do something. It had already been noted in our files about no vaccines. When we passed this time, there was no questioning of our decisions. Occasionally they would offer some helpful thoughts for what to look for with potential health issues and what they could provide as tests if we experienced it. It turned into a relatively pleasant experience for a change.

And yes, in usual Trade smartassery I asked if they wanted the clock drawing to be AM or PM. It never fails to produce a puzzled, “wut?” expression. Just can’t help myself sometimes.

It all worked out as hoped. Could not ask for better results. Wifey’s BP and heart rate were in a normal range for probably the first time ever in 40 years of going to that doc office. The white coat syndrome did not kick in. Mine was in the usual range at 118/72/64. No physical abnormalities noted in the rest of our exams.

The blood test data was excellent for both of us. Wifey was slightly high on glucose, but had dropped 10% from the year before. I had nothing high or low except LDL, which was moderately above range for both of us. HDL and ratios were all good and in range. The LDL thing has been an industry hot potato with many patients since they lowered the acceptable range this year. Wifey and I are not going to play their game. We are in the previously acceptable 120 range. We will do the right things for us to lower it a bit more and not concern ourselves with their BS unless we detect problems.

Since we have only been making our life changes since early February, this blood test was a huge improvement for wifey. Her total total cholesterol dropped by a whopping 60 points from a year ago! Mine dropped 26 points even with the added meats and eggs. When I go off full Keto and sub in a bit of plant related proteins, fish and other veggies it will drop further. It proved that at least for some of us who follow the Keto nutrition plan as recommended; that it does not always lead to increased cholesterol as pundits and some medical professionals assert. Our own providers were skeptical of how it would turn out. Perhaps they will reconsider, perhaps not.

As stated I plan to selectively reintroduce some more good carbs (more fish, servings, veggies, Keto friendly fruits, maybe some oatmeal) into my diet, The sugar cravings are long gone and neither wifey or I desire for them to ever return. Related desserts and snacks will remain a thing of the past as a staple of our nutrition. Snacks for me are primarily nuts along with beef and chicken sticks. I will begin taking a Butyrate supplement to help my gut lining and maintain the metabolism my body has adapted to with more active fat busting ketones. It should help digestion for my gut type, which is averse to lectin as discussed. As stated I achieved my initial goal for weight loss. I plan to lose another 5 pounds or so to provide room for the winter months of less activity. Regardless, my goal will always be to weigh no more than my college playing weight. It should be relatively easy to do with our joint commitment to better health and the knowledge we have gained in the process.

With all of the above improvements, we are not without the normal challenges of aging that requires assistance from traditional medicine at times. For example, wifey will be addressing some non-cancerous dermatology related issues over the next few months. I will continue to work on flexibility and strengthening my lumbar region and knees, so that I can remain as active as possible. My Teeter inversion table remains a useful tool along with regular yoga stretching and other exercises. If I live long enough I expect one or both knees to need replaced as some point as they are well worn from sports and life as I have lived it.

Who knows what is in store for us to face, but we now feel comfortable we are doing our best to mitigate challenges to health. We give all praise to our Lord for seeing us through these life changes. We want to finish this life well before He takes us home, but leave the time for departure up to Him.

Conclusion

I urge all who are reading this to chart their own path when it comes to health and nutrition. Research, consider all of the information, pray about it, and then go to work. What I have provided is what has worked for us and our individual bodies, environment and living conditions. Some of it could translate to your benefit, but that is your call. The cost has been minimal. The reduction in overall food costs and trips to doctor offices for problems and illnesses, especially poor foods and life choices induced, has more than offset the costs of a few relatively low cost supplements and vitamins.

Dear KMAG: 20260629 Trump Won Three Times ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden never won. This is our Real President – 45, 46, 47.

AND our beautiful REALFLOTUS.

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

Daily outrage and epic phuckery abound.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

Joe Biden didn’t win.

And we will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.
