DEAR MAGA: Open Thread 20211014

It can be feast or famine trying to find goodies for the patriots perched here at the Q Tree on a regular basis. On Tuesday afternoon, it seemed like there wasn’t much of anything out there.

On Wednesday…AVALANCHE.

Okay, maybe not an avalanche, but an abundance of riches, beginning with Archbishop Carl Maria Vigano who is still in hiding, and still speaking out about this abysmal “pope” and the wretched situation of the world under assault from “The Great Reset.”

This was posted on yesterday’s daily in the comments, and was discussed, although not at length.

https://twitter.com/Primordilian/status/1448026633705754624

The Malthusian ecologism, irenicist ecumenism (that is a prelude to the constitution of the universal religion), the “fourth revolution” theorized by Klaus Schwab and the families of international finance, find in Bergoglio not a neutral spectator – which would itself already be an unheard of thing – but actually a zealous cooperator, who abuses his own moral authority in order to support ad extra [outside the Church] the project of the dissolution of traditional society, while ad intra [within the Church] he pursues the project of the demolition of the Church in order to replace Her with a philanthropic organization of Masonic inspiration. …

The persecution we are witnessing today is no different from that of decades past, but now it has been extended to the masses, while previously it focused on individuals and the ruling class. This applies to both the civil and ecclesiastical world – confirming the pactum sceleris [criminal conspiracy] between the deep state and the deep church. It seems to me that in this conspiracy the role of the Jesuits has been decisive, and it is no coincidence that for the first time in history a religious of the Society of Jesus is seated on the Throne of Peter, [in violation of the Rule established by Saint Ignatius of Loyola].

This is actually part of a LONG interview that occurred in late September, and was transcribed at Inside the Vatican. The full interview is very revealing. (Please go to the link to read the transcript.) The full interview addresses many topics specific to Catholicism, but does include this gems like this interspersed within the Church talk:

We find ourselves trapped in an impasse, a dead end, from which we cannot escape as long as we do not recognize it for what it is. If we think that the present crisis can be solved by addressing ourselves to the civil or religious authority, as if we were in conditions of relative normality, we continue to not understand that the responsibility for this crisis lays precisely in a betrayal carried out by those hold authority. We cannot ask for justice for a wrong we have suffered if the judge who ought to condemn those who infringe on our rights is their accomplice. We cannot turn to politicians, expecting them to revoke the violation of our fundamental freedoms, if they are the very ones voting for these violations in Parliaments because they obey those who pay them or blackmail them.

Vigano then followed this interview with a letter to his fellow Italians who are in the fight of their lives trying to avoid the green pass, the European version of vaccine passports. Here is an excerpt:

I mentioned a little while ago about the labyrinth into which we entered. More precisely, a labyrinth in which we found ourselves following those who promised us to get out, knowing full well that it has no exit. With every step we have taken, entering the maze of this labyrinth, we have strayed and lost.

Because this is a labyrinth.

A tangle of pseudo-scientific statements, logical contradictions, apodictic proclamations, dogmas proclaimed by the new Covid priests, by the pandemic Sanhedrin.

There is nothing consequential or rational in what we are told and it is precisely in believing that what they tell us makes sense that we go further and further into the labyrinth.

“Let’s get vaccinated to save the frail and the elderly people who cannot be vaccinated,” they told us. “While we vaccinate the frail and the elderly, let’s get vaccinated in order to remove the mask and start living again,” they said… and soon after we discovered that not only should we have to wear the mask but that one dose of serum was no longer enough and not even two, maybe not even three.

Meanwhile, the frail and the elderly die of Covid even after the double dose, and if they survive and because in hospitals – deny it if you can – for some time Covid patients have been given Azithromycin [& Ivermectin], making it appear as a cure against intestinal parasites but knowing full well that it is used against the virus, so as not to undermine the credibility of vaccines, certainly not for the health of patients.

We have to get out of this labyrinth dear friends, but we cannot get out by simply protesting against the Green Pass, which is only the most recent repressive tool and certainly not the last. Certainly the Green Pass is a legal aberration, a hateful blackmail, a proof of the pretext of the pandemic alarm.

But even if they revoke the Green Pass, the absurdity of considering a curable virus deadly that has not caused more deaths than those of the past years would remain. the absurdity of wearing masks that are not only useless by the experts’ own admission but which, on the contrary, cause serious lung diseases and brain pathologies.

The absurdity of considering a vaccine as a drug that does not serve to give immunity and that proves to have such serious side effects as to overtake the deaths of all vaccines in the last ten years in just a few months of administration. The absurdity of letting us inoculate an experimental drug that acts on our DNA, making us genetically modified organisms.

The absurdity of following directions, protocols that seem written by sorcerers and not by conscientious doctors, given the series of checks that have now reached the pathetic. the absurdity of calculating seriously and calmly to statements so scandalous and false as not to deserve an answer.

That of Draghi, “whoever gets vaccinated is saved, whoever does not get vaccinated dies,” is a lie.

And then a surprise came from Mollie Hemingway, the nominally mainstream media figure who contributes at Fox News. She wanted to find out just what happened in the 2020 general election and so she did the legwork and investigative reporting that resulted in a book titled Rigged. She spoke with Brian Kilmeade about her efforts:

A partial transcript can be found at Real Clear Politics:

I wanted to know exactly what happened during the campaign so for me that means I interview everybody involved at the state and the national level, and I did find out that this election was unlike any election we’d ever had. People already knew that the media environment was corrupt, just like you just talked about, they suppressed that Hunter Biden story which was explosive, they elevated fake news, they knew that big tech had manipulated. They did not want to have any information out that helps their political opponents or hurt their political allies, so they censored information and they de-platformed people, and they also changed a lot of our election laws. Sometimes they did that legally and constitutionally, sometimes they didn’t, and Mark Zuckerberg, one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, funded the private takeover of government election offices. And that enabled a bunch of left wing activists to come into government election offices and actually handle many things, from voter registration to voting to vote counting.

Remember, fellow QTreepers, this book and effort was written for the normies who still are in the process of waking up, not us.

ROMANS 3:21-30

21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it, 22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction; 23since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God put forward as an expiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins; 26it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justifies him who has faith in Jesus. 27Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On the principle of works? No, but on the principle of faith. 28For we hold that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law. 29Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith.

LUKE 11:47-54

47Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets whom your fathers killed. 48So you are witnesses and consent to the deeds of your fathers; for they killed them, and you build their tombs. 49Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, `I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute,’ 50that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation, 51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechari’ah, who perished between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, it shall be required of this generation. 52Woe to you lawyers! for you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter yourselves, and you hindered those who were entering.” 53As he went away from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to press him hard, and to provoke him to speak of many things, 54lying in wait for him, to catch at something he might say.

Dr. Charles Hoffe’s Observation of Spike Protein mRNA Vaccine-Induced Pulmonary Hypertension

A Beautiful Demonstration of Real Science in Action, and How Political Correctness Prevents Obvious Correlations and Causations From Being Seen by Monetarily Dependent Scientists

Being “Sherlock Holmes” is easy, when everybody else in mainstream science has turned into a character from “The Muppets” or “Sesame Street”.

Except for Dr. Charles Hoffe, plus a bunch of other physicians and scientists who our media calls “The Dirty Dozen”, that “Count” guy is my only real competition now.

Of course, when he counts 57 genders, he will leave our little group of truth-tellers, but until then he can probably count protons and neutrons reliably.

Thankfully, I’m retired. I can speak the truth. “The Count” is still employed by the dirty establishment.

Consider a basic idea of vaccination known from literally centuries of science – from even BEFORE the first vaccination in the 1790s, when people used WEAKENED smallpox to gain immunity to NORMAL smallpox (a process called “inoculation” or “variolation”).

Here is that bedrock idea. A principle so simple, it borders on “an obvious trend in a collection of observations”.

“Immunity conferred by catching a disease naturally and recovering is strong, and any form of preventing the disease by inoculation (including variolation and vaccination) attempts to live up to that level of immunity. Some vaccines will give life-long immunity, if that is possible, or for as long as the disease itself gives immunity, if lucky, but in many if not most cases, the durability of immunity conferred by a vaccine is LESS than the durability of immunity conferred by the disease itself.”

So I repeat – this simple idea is something that “everybody knew” from roughly 1790 to 2019, and even before 1790, when vaccination wasn’t even called vaccination.

But then – suddenly – in 2020, the media talked us out of centuries of knowledge about how immunity works, by a kind of hand-waving authority – allegedly from “the experts” at CDC and NIH.

Fauci and Scarf Lady went along with the media hoax. They didn’t have to say a lot. It was mostly by leaving OPEN the question of natural immunity, when it should NOT have been left open, that damage to science and society was done.

Of course, after enough results poured in from laboratories around the world, noting how much stronger natural immunity to COVID-19 appeared to be, we were relieved to discover that – Yes, Virginia – immunity is still behaving just like it did before COVID-19.

(The feds will certainly have to do some “funding mechanics” to fix all those people reporting “incorrect science”, won’t they?)

And THAT is when Rand Paul began taking Anthony Fauci to the woodshed over natural immunity.

So why the heck did we ever suspect or believe otherwise?

No good reason, except the Fake News.

Think about it.

If this does not prove to you that the media controls science, and not the other way around, then wait for the next example.

I now know two people personally who get the injection. One was my BIL who got covid anyway, but we made sure he got treated the right way and he got better immediately, and is back at full health despite diabetes.

The other is a friend who cannot breath well even with an oxygen tank turned to max. He has seen every type of doctor, and no one can figure out what the problem is.

He and I had a sharp but friendly argument over the injections a month or so ago. He is MAGA but a true “vax” believer (hard to imagine, but they exist).

I have spoken to him a couple times at length, but refrained from bringing up the injection as a possible cause of his present distress. His wife thinks he is not going to make it, but, again, I have not mentioned to her the injection as a consideration.

The doctors will not tell him, and at this point what difference could it make, other than making him feel more stress or more unhappiness?

I feel like this all the time. No one in my circles will listen. It’s pointless, and would end up splintering relationships that will be needed as these people all go down sick.

I actually feel this way about ALL vaccines to an extent, and I still think that my younger nephew is actually vaccine injured. No one will listen to me on that, either, given there is another diagnosis that fits. They didn’t listen to me about the one drug he was on, and I turned out to be right. I was the first one to call that the drug was the problem, and eventually it could not be ignored.

This is no different. All the research won’t change minds when all the people in family want to be able to do is travel, and that was the driver for the decision.

Would it be more productive to focus on the potential REMEDIES, first, than on the likely CAUSES?

For months now, posters here have been *extraordinarily* helpful in suggesting many means to offset the adverse effects.

Right to try?

Survivor-mectin, perhaps?

As has been established, it ISN’T a lack of oxygen in the lungs, it’s instead the lack of TRANSFER of the oxygen in the lungs to the bloodstream.

Get better first, and only THEN figure out the likely cause.

Am I missing something here?

I hope this helps …

I suspect your friend is going through what I went through.

How long after he got the jab until he had symptoms?
Which jab did he get?
What normal jab symptoms did he have?

Tell them you know a scientist who had COVID and suffered breathing problems, but got better, and thinks he can help.

Tonawanda

Tonawanda Wolverine Reply to  Wolf Moon October 2, 2021 07:41

He got the shots in March. I will ask him what type. The breathing problem was gradual and started about a month ago and has become severe.

We spoke again yesterday, and I suggested D3 and Zinc. Oddly enough, his own doctor told him to take those, and he has not taken them. Now he says he will.

He is going in for angiograms on Tuesday and used that as a polite excuse to defer on any further discussion.

But I would love to hear your perspective when I get you the info.

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon Admin Coyote Reply to  Tonawanda October 3, 2021 14:01

Great! Both D3 and zinc are necessary to fight off respiratory viruses, and they tend to be deficient as we get older. If he does have spike protein lung damage, every minor respiratory virus brings back the COVID lung problems.

Also magnesium helps me. It is a vasodilator and antihypertensive, and I suspect that it is a PULMONARY vasodilator, too.

Tonawanda

Tonawanda Wolverine Reply to  Wolf Moon October 3, 2021 14:38

Wolf Moon

I know that fear. Inability to breathe properly is extremely scary. And it scared a lot of people onto vents where they died.

One of the foulest tricks of both COVID and MASKS is that they mess up O2 / CO2 balance. One has to ADAPT to the new balance. THAT is hard. One reason I refuse to wear a mask is that it really messes with my oxygen balance. It messes me up for HOURS. And I’m IMMUNE, damn it! Pointless and CRUEL to make me wear a mask – these Stalinist bastards!

Tonawanda

Tonawanda Wolverine Reply to  Wolf Moon October 10, 2021 22:35

I am still trying to find out what “vax” he took. He is not doing well. He had two angiograms and the doctors are still uncertain what his problem is, and he has been fretful (so I am told).

It is a delicate situation.

But please keep this post in mind so when I find out we can discuss.

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon Admin Coyote Reply to  Tonawanda October 10, 2021 22:44

Good! I’m still paying attention!

One way you might get him the proper help is to suggest that he may have HAD COVID AND DIDN’T KNOW IT. Both he and the Covidian doctors will believe that, before they will believe that the jab WAS the “Covid” that he got.

That will get the docs thinking that he has long-haul, and they may send him on to a “long-haul” specialist.

I spoke to my friend. He took Moderna. When I asked he pre-emptively said “what I have has nothing to do with the voccine.”

He said the docs told him he had severe pulmonary hypertension, and there was nothing they could do except give him the generic form of Viagra.

The MDs might very well be telling him exactly the way it is, and who am I to say differently? Still, his case at least proves to me how deep my distrust is.

TY for engaging on this personal interest! As always, I highly respect your knowledge and judgment.

Wolf again…..

Now – if you follow through that conversation, you will see that Tona’s friend started off with vaccination, followed later by persistent shortness of breath. You can see that I suspected he might need magnesium as a pulmonary vasodilator – that his case might be similar to mine, which was from COVID itself, only his seems to be much WORSE.

Later, you see that he’s getting an angiogram – meaning, they’re going to look at his blood vessels. This is heading exactly where I thought it was going.

Finally, you see that it is verified that Tona’s friend took the Moderna vaccine, and has pulmonary hypertension.

This confirmed everything that I suspected.

Now – WHY did I suspect that this man had pulmonary hypertension?

FIRST, because I have LONG been following the story of endothelial damage in the capillaries of the lungs by SARS-CoV-2 – more specifically by the spike protein – and resultant pulmonary symptomology (including shortness of breath), from all the way back in March and April of 2020, when Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell realized that the ARDS vent strategy “imported from China” was ALL WRONG. He started looking at high-altitude sickness as a better (though still flawed) model of the disease, and quickly understood the endothelial and pulmonary capillary thrombotic nature of SARS-COV-2 infections.

See, for example:

LINK: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32665939/

As you can see, by the middle of 2020, the DISEASE was already well understood in terms of being a provoker of coagulopathy and the sequelae of that.

It was this coagulopathy, that was causing shortness of breath.

And THAT leads to the SECOND reason I suspected pulmonary hypertension. Something I had seen HERE, actually, in various postings on our site. Thank you to all posters here, who brought this information.

But THIS information was not about the disease. This was about the VACCINE.

Please listen to the video below – it will not only explain what is happening – it will assure you of this good doctor’s credibility.

Everything Dr. Hoffe says is – sadly – bad news for “yours truly”, but it MASSIVELY confirms my “hunch” that COVID took at least a DECADE off my life.

This is just a gut-level assessment of the damage to my health, but everything that I’ve seen in my medical test data seems to confirm it. My respiratory, pulmonary, cardiac, vascular, and immune functions are all noticeably impaired after COVID. I do not know if I have pulmonary hypertension, but I suspect that if I do NOT have it, it is only because I have very successfully prevented systemic hypertension. My blood pressure is low, and I have kept it low, thanks to magnesium.

This is part of the reason I have been so adamantly opposed to vaccinating our troops, and regard that action as TREASONOUS. The only people who are helped by medical turnover of our military are the communists – both foreign and domestic.

But let’s not talk about me. Let’s not talk about the US Military.

Let’s talk about Tonawanda’s friend.

The fact that he had the Moderna vaccine is – in my opinion – very important.

Why?

This gets into the observed and known differences between the vaccines, which I have watched VERY CAREFULLY from the very beginning. I very CLOSELY watched the Phase One trials for both Pfizer and Moderna.

The Moderna vaccine was NOTORIOUS for causing symptoms VERY similar to the disease, including fever, exhaustion, headaches, muscular and kidney aches. Worse than that, the Moderna systemic effects were extremely common in the trial group.

If I had to describe my “non-taker” impression of the Moderna shot like a “gourmet” might, it would be like the Shingrix shingles vaccine first shot, only more systemic like the second shot.

A shingles vaccine “gourmet” sidebar:

Wolf’s Hot Date With Retrosynthetic Dinopox

Wolf’s Chill Second Date With Retrosynthetic Dinopox

Yes – I was “pro-vax” before all the industry, media, and government LIES built up to an intolerable level.

Back to the story on Moderna and Pfizer.

Here is a typical example of a Moderna recipient – economist and actor Ben Stein.

LINK: https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/03/ben-stein-issues-warning-suffers-severe-side-effects-covid-vaccine-days-getting-shot-video/

The symptoms Ben describes are VERY MUCH like COVID-19 itself.

The Pfizer vaccine – surprisingly – did not have strong observable and immediate effects like Moderna. The incidence of anything more than a bit of local swelling was almost non-existent in the Phase One trial group.

The Pfizer vaccine moved up near the top of my “I might take this one” list.

Thus, it was very surprising that LATER, lots of problems with the Pfizer “clot shot” came into view, as the vaccine was being delivered to people. To some extent, I believe that the NUMBERS of many side effects simply don’t appear in trials, but THAT is not the whole story. I am now convinced that Pfizer is led by incredibly dishonest people, and that they very likely gamed the trials to hide problems.

And very ironically, there is some SCIENCE to back that up. The GAMING begins with the vaccine itself.

What’s interesting there, is that Pfizer’s data on biological distribution of their vaccine in test animals – which we had to get from the Japanese government – not only explained the nature and biodistribution of side effects seen in vaccine recipients – it explained the SHEDDING of VACCINE to others in close contact with the recipient.

This was, IMO, phenomenal detective work by the people who got that data. The Pfizer vaccine’s array of issues was due to the PERSISTENCE and SLOW RELEASE of the vaccine – as well as the obvious LIPID MOBILITY of the LIPID NANOPARTICLES. It took DAYS for the vaccine to release most of the mRNA into cells. The vaccine had plenty of time to move around in bodily lipids. It even had time to be EXCRETED in bodily lipids.

But NOW, I can ALSO use this same explanation for the difference between Pfizer and Moderna in the trials.

Pfizer basically created what is essentially a slow-release vaccine without telling people it was slow-release. VERY beneficial in trials – no?

Moderna’s vaccine also uses lipid nanoparticles, BUT their vaccine clearly deploys FASTER into cells. There is significant overlap, nonetheless, in cardiovascular deployment, as Dr. Hoffe notes. Moderna is likewise distributing throughout the body, and producing systemic vascular endothelium-centered effects much like COVID itself does, but Moderna produces symptoms FASTER than Pfizer. The vaccine effects of Moderna are thus much more noticeable – in some ways like the new shingles vaccine, which is a recombinant antigen vaccine, not an mRNA vaccine, and does NOT employ time-delaying lipid encapsulation technology.

Shingrix tends to produce rapid LOCAL symptoms on the first shot, and systemic symptoms on the booster, exactly as we might expect for two fundamentally different immune reactions (naive locally generated to injected antigen on shot 1, and immune secondary cytokine reaction to same on shot 2).

SO – back to Tona’s friend. He got MODERNA. Moderna SHOWS that it produces symptoms similar to COVID. Just ask Ben Stein. We have covered these “whole spike protein” vaccines.

Dr. Hoffe encountered his results using the MODERNA vaccine.

LINK: https://www.worldtribune.com/doctor-who-vaccinated-900-calls-blood-clots-at-capillary-level-an-absolutely-new-phenomenon/

Dr. Hoffe – at the time of the video – had 9 out of roughly 900 Moderna-receiving patients who were significantly (medically) damaged by the vaccine – and that did not count the 62% of ALL patients (estimated from a smaller sample) who showed signs of microscopic clotting.

Of those 9 patients clinically damaged by the vaccine, SIX of them are described as having “reduced effort tolerance” indicative of pulmonary hypertension. That is exactly what I have from COVID itself. I’m just lucky that my prior health was SO GOOD – far better than most others my age, particularly with my set of comorbidities like “former smoker” – that I was simply “knocked back” to somewhat below normal levels of health for my age.

Others may choose not to believe that Tonawanda’s friend was a victim of side effects of the Moderna vaccine, but in my opinion it is IMPOSSIBLE to dismiss this possibility. In fact, I believe that this case is an exemplary fulfillment of Dr. Hoffe’s warning.

In my opinion, mRNA vaccines are a fundamentally flawed approach, relative to a carefully metered and controlled ANTIGEN vaccine. mRNA vaccines have a “sexy” mechanism, but the whole concept is SCIENCE-CENTERED – not PATIENT-CENTERED.

Science-centered vaccines are a perfect fit for BRUTAL Stalinist socialized medicine, which treats people coldly and unsympathetically.

And THAT is why the Faucist conspirators and Bidenazis are deploying it.

What would Obama do, if nobody could stop him?

THIS is Obamacare – the REALITY. Brutal, corrupt, industrialized medicine.

Ironically – so ironically – profit-centered and capitalist to the core – only the negotiation with the corrupt capitalists is run by Soviet-style bureaucrats. An interesting mix of communism and fascism.

Reject it. Turn away from it. Refuse it.

Dear KAG: 20211013 Open Thread

To be honest, given the information coming in from all sides, inspiration was hard to come by on Tuesday afternoon. I mean, an uber-lib social worker I used to work with posted this on Tuesday.

It’s true. 2021 might well be the year the world woke up the hard way, but still, what a friggin’ bummer despite the spectacular weather we in the Midwest had on Tuesday.

And then this popped into my feed:

This guy claims he works or worked for Big Pharma and doesn’t trust the data because the companies “produced” it too quickly, and then he goes on to talk about how he HAD to get the shots, even if he didn’t want to, just to have some semblance of a “normal life” resembling what he previously had and that the government is making it impossible to refuse if one is college educated.

Not kidding.

Okay, dude, yeah, I have a piece of paper that says I spent a lot of time in a classroom, and a lot of money to get it and the B.S. in Communications which does not really stand for Bachelor of Science, and the name of the institution on it I can almost guarantee is ranked higher than where ever it was he matriculated even if said ranking rests, usually, on the size of the school’s endowment. Are the graduates from my alma mater who are/were traditional students sheep? Of course they are. Before they spent tens of thousands for that piece of paper, they were mostly valedictorians. Valedictorians tend to toe the line and agree with teachers just for the grades. They don’t always think for themselves.

And right now, THAT’S OUR BIG PROBLEM! GROUPTHINK IS NOW A MATTER OF NATIONAL CRISIS.

This is the stuff college is SUPPOSED to teach, how to think, not how to follow the pack. And certainly not just blindly go out and get experimental gene therapy injected into an arm simply because a slimy worm in a white coat says you should and the lure of a promise of getting “back to normal,” whatever that is, is dangled before one’s glazed over eyes.

I mean, honestly, one can be only so numb to the really poor decisions being made all around us for so long before it is too much for even the most patient person out there.

Seriously, has no one noticed this?

No. We all have to research that for ourselves, and, hopefully, share what we learn.

Have a good day y’all.

(I don’t remember who brought this to a daily in the comments, but thanks.)

And, of course, the obligatory George Carlin:

Per the Boss:

I know I said we’d go through the horror film themes, but found this treat.

And now for the obligatory message from our sponsors:

Here at the Q tree we believe in the concept of CIVIL open free speech and the discussion that fleshes out ideas. When commenting and participating in the OPEN discussion on this thread all comments MUST NOT CONTAIN personal threats, baiting, name calling, or other anti-social words fomenting hate, violence or destruction. Our host Wolfm00n has strict rules about that.

Fellow tree dweller Wheatie gave us some good reminders on the basics of civility in political discourse:

  1. No food fights.
  2. No running with scissors.
  3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone

Please, stock up on blanks for celebratory gunfire, be ready to swing from the chandeliers…and no messing with the nuclear weapons.

Please remember to remain locked and loaded and ready for trouble should the insurrectionists try to invade your space.

Those who have things to say that do not fit the generally accepted limits of “civil” discussion, Wolf has provided a venue known as the UTree. You’re welcome to visit over there and say hi to anyone hanging out over there. The “Rescue Thread” is also over there. In the event a rendezvous of the tree is needed, please check it out.

Auntie DePat’s requests as we are all, ahem, adults, not uncivilized pygmies:

If you see something has not been posted, do us all a favor, and post it. Please, do not complain that it has not been done yet.

The scroll wheel on your mouse can be your friend. As mature adults, please use it here in the same manner you would in avoiding online porn.

Thank you so much for any and all attention to such details. It is GREATLY appreciated by more than one party here.

One other vital note:

Please, review these rules that our host Wolfm00n outlined toward the beginning of the growth of the tree itself. it won’t take long.

LUKE 11:42-46

42“But woe to you Pharisees! for you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect justice and the love of God; these you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. 43Woe to you Pharisees! for you love the best seat in the synagogues and salutations in the market places. 44Woe to you! for you are like graves which are not seen, and men walk over them without knowing it.” 45One of the lawyers answered him, “Teacher, in saying this you reproach us also.” 46And he said, “Woe to you lawyers also! for you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

Do not be afraid to take a chance on peace, to teach peace, to live peace. Peace will be the last word of history” – St. Pope John Paul II

As always, prayers for the fight against that which seeks to enslave us are welcome.

Please include: President Donald Trump, the Q team, our soldiers in the field, special forces, tactical units, first responders and those working behind the scenes…and any and all people with family members in the hospital, COVID or not.

Thanking everybody for your patience. Whether happenstance, coincidence, or enemy action, I’m dealing with some technical issues. In addition to those, and the obvious spiritual attacks, I am dealing with the obvious site stuff in what are best maintained as unobvious ways.

I suspect we struck a nerve.

A combined technical / spiritual / strategic response by all of us will prevent this attack from succeeding. Hold the line – bite the bullet – gird the loins – bite the lip – pray for guidance, discernment, and strength – whatever YOU believe keeps the ship aright for the moment. Everything else is lower priority.

In that spirit, the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel from Tuesday’s threads, and the Breastplate of St. Patrick, not to mention the Litany of Humility are favorites recommended by exorcists in spiritual warfare.

It’s one of those days.

Can’t trust anyone with historical artifacts. Seriously, the attempted erasure of American history has to stop.

UPDATE:

TheStormHasArrived17Forwarded from IET 17 (IET)An Anon Fren created this image to help the airline employees know they have our support in standing up against these mandates.

Please share this message on all of your social media platforms to spread the word:

HOLD THE LINE

And here we are. The powers that wannabe are giving it a shot. They are using fear and peer pressure to inoculate as many humans as possible with experimental gene therapy with no known long term effects. We here at the Q Tree know and understand that. Here’s a message for the sheepish groupies out there:

These are the same people, in many cases, who pop up on various social media platforms complaining that they can’t get on with their lives until the rest of us comply with non-existent federal mandates being enforced by money and power hungry persons in chairman and presidents seats.

Seriously, I’ve seen commentary similar from any number of people who wrap themselves in the flag when it is convenient.

What kind of Americans are they to lay down and give up FREEDOM so quickly?

Every now and then we are reminded what must be done to maintain those freedoms, not just from governments, but corporate tyranny as well. It is happening right now in the airline industry, and it is DISRUPTIVE and in some ways uncomfortable, but it needs to be.

For a good rundown on the situation with Southwest Airlines and the stand the flight crews are making, FG&C gives a good overview in yesterday’s daily.

Donald Trump Jr.@DonaldJTrumpJr

American media have blacked out the massive anti-mandate protests overseas so the Southwest strike might come as a surprise, but it’s not to anyone who’s been watching the pro-freedom uprisings around the world. More to come.

10:05 AM · Oct 11, 2021

Yes, there are those complaining about being inconvenienced, but for every one of them, there are just as many cheering on the first truly DISRUPTIVE action taken in this fight, the walkout of thousands of employees at Southwest Airlines (known in the DePat house as general admission airlines where the East Terminal at the home airport is a zoo compared to the Main).

Juanita did make it home, but this is the spirit we all need as our nice, comfortable, just in time American life gets major league DISTRUPTED to get the attention of the caste that wants to enslave us all. Inconvenience should be a badge of honor, not a nuisance.

The tinfoil hat wearers were right. Again. Imagine that.

A few odds and ends….

Mmm…not enough Big Pharma or Big Ag in that meme.

Something to remember, always.

Per the boss’s instruction:

I’d throw in a few Rockefellers and Rothschilds also.

Of course, this does not mean committing felonies, but standing up to the forces that want to tear this nation – and humanity apart. The very people XVII told us will be destroyed by the time this movie comes to an end are currently roaming the halls of power…supposedly. It’s a sickening sight.

And now for some mood music:

It was this or the ballet music from Verdi’s “Otello”.

Your weekly reminder to take the pledge, and if the non-mainstream people are to be believed, including Lin Wood, we will need to take this seriously very soon:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

Message from General Flynn.

@RealGenFlynn

Be fearless and don’t wait for the next superstar to stand up and fight back against this health tyranny…each of us has our own inner strength to take the harder right path. In your communities, at your local city council meetings, school board hearings, zoning board meetings, everywhere elected officials reside, we should be in there ensuring they are doing what we the people voted for them to do. Get involved now, no more waiting for someone else to do it…it is our time, our moment in history and our obligation to the next generation and the one after that…Local Action has a National Impact

And now for the nitty gritty of the Q Tree 5 minute, stand up, Tuesday morning meeting version of the Daily Thread.

Ahem.

Guidelines for posting and discussion on this site were outlined by our host, WolfM00n. Please, review them from time to time.

The discourse on this site is to be CIVIL – no name calling, baiting, or threatening others here is allowed. Those who are so inclined may visit Wolf’s other sanctuary, the U-Tree, to slog it out. There is also a “rescue” thread there for members of the Tree to rendezvous if the main site goes kablooey.

This site is a celebration of the natural rights endowed to humans by our Creator as well as those enshrined in the Bill of Rights adopted in the founding documents of the United States of America. Within the limits of law, how we exercise these rights is part of the freedom of our discussion.

Again, the slate of today’s Mass readings all fit.

ROMANS 1:16-25

16For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. 17For in it the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, “He who through faith is righteous shall live.” 18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and wickedness of men who by their wickedness suppress the truth. 19For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse; 21for although they knew God they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking and their senseless minds were darkened. 22Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man or birds or animals or reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, 25because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever! Amen.

PSALMS 19:2-5

1The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. 2Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. 3There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them he has set a tent for the sun,

LUKE 11:37-41

37While he was speaking, a Pharisee asked him to dine with him; so he went in and sat at table. 38The Pharisee was astonished to see that he did not first wash before dinner. 39And the Lord said to him, “Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of extortion and wickedness. 40You fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside also? 41But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, everything is clean for you.

Shut Off Your Electricity for 21 Minutes at 10 AM Washington Time on 10/12 (BFF – Blackout For Freedom)

There is a global medical freedom protest, started in Germany and picking up across Europe, that is being suppressed by the authorities, the media, and social media.

It is very simple to take part. SHUT OFF YOUR HOUSE ELECTRICITY (at the box, if possible) for 21 minutes at 10:00 AM Eastern (Washington) time on October 12, 2021 – meaning TOMORROW.

This is GOOD PREPPER PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAINING. That is actually my MAIN REASON for promoting it.

If ONLY the people on this site do it, we will be PREPARING for what is coming, and that is very important to me. We need to psychologically prepare for disruptions, so that we are VOICES OF STABILITY AND COURAGE when the Biden regime pulls more FEAR TACTICS.

But if this protest spreads, so much the better.

If it helps the pilots and flight attendants, so much the better.

If it helps to publicize what Twitter did to CTH, so much the better.

Think about it this way. We are stuffing toilet paper into the SMART METERS that the regime put into our homes.

And this doesn’t have to be the LAST protest. It can be the FIRST. It can be PRACTICE.

We can do this AGAIN and AGAIN until people take notice.

I will add as much information as I can below. But for now, I want to get this out, so that you can begin preparations.

I can tell you right now, from watching the links for this online, it is trending from invisible to searchable – but at the same time, links are disappearing.

BIG TECH AT WORK.

Can we make it trend even bigger? Let’s try.

Dear KMAG: 20211011 Joe Biden Didn’t Win ❀ Open Topic

Joe Biden didn’t win. This is our Real President:

This Stormwatch Monday Open Thread is VERY OPEN – a place for everybody to post whatever they feel they would like to tell the White Hats, and the rest of the MAGA/KAG/KMAG world (with KMAG being a bit of both).

Yes, it’s Monday…again.

But it’s okay!  We’ll make our way through it.

Free Speech is practiced here at the Q Tree. But please keep it civil. We’re on the same side here so let’s not engage in friendly fire.

If you find yourself in a slap fight, we ask that you take it outside to The U Tree…which is also a good place to report any technical difficulties, if you’re unable to report them here.

Please also consider the Important Guidelines, outlined here. Let’s not give the odious Internet Censors a reason to shut down this precious haven that Wolf has created for us.

Please pray for our real President, the one who actually won the election:

Happy Columbus Day!

The spirit of exploration lives on today. Mankind is at it’s best, I think, when it is exploring new worlds…rather than exploring the depths of depravity, as the Left is wont to do.

Today we look to the stars, where there are untold worlds to explore.

For your listening enjoyment, I offer this from Avi Kaplan, titled ‘Aberdeen’:

And this from Adrián Berenguer, titled ‘Aguila’:

Our beloved country is under Occupation by hostile forces.

We can give in to despair…or we can be defiant and fight back in any way that we can.

I will keep saying Joe Biden didn’t win until we get His Fraudulency out of our White House.

Wheatie’s Word of the Day:

patibulate

An obscure word, patibulate is a verb which means…to hang on a gallows; to execute by hanging. Patibulated — hanged; executed by hanging.

Used in a sentence:

Justice will be served when all the traitors who have sold out our country are patibulated.

Dear MAGA: 20211010 Open Topic

This Sanctuary Sunday Open Thread, with full respect to those who worship God on the Sabbath, is a place to reaffirm our worship of our Creator, our Father, our King Eternal.

It’s also a place to read, post, and discuss news that is worth knowing and sharing. Please post links to any news stories that you use as sources or quote from.

In the QTree, we’re a friendly and civil lot. We encourage free speech and the open exchange and civil discussion of different ideas. Topics aren’t constrained, and sound logic is highly encouraged, all built on a solid foundation of truth and established facts.

We have a policy of mutual respect, shown by civility. Civility encourages discussions, promotes objectivity and rational thought in discourse, and camaraderie in the participants – characteristics we strive toward in our Q Tree community.

Please show respect and consideration for our fellow QTreepers. Before hitting the “post” button, please proofread your post and make sure you’re addressing the issue only, and not trying to confront the poster. Keep to the topic – avoid “you” and “your”. Here in The Q Tree, personal attacks, name-calling, ridicule, insults, baiting, and other conduct for which a penalty flag would be thrown are VERBOTEN.

In The Q Tree, we’re compatriots, sitting around the campfire, roasting hot dogs, making s’mores, and discussing, agreeing, and disagreeing about whatever interests us. This board will remain a home for those who seek respectful conversations.

Please also consider the Guidelines for posting and discussion printed here: https://www.theqtree.com/2019/01/01/dear-maga-open-topic-20190101/

Follow My Heart?

Follow my Heart?  Well, as any deep thinker knows, it’s impossible for me to follow my heart unless I know who I am.  Let’s start there.

So, who am I?  This question was bandied about by a number of people I came in contact with in the ‘60s and early ‘70s.  Apparently, there is someone buried deep within me who is my true or authentic self and I must devote very serious consideration in finding out just who that is, otherwise, I’ll never be able to discover and navigate my way through real life.

“Who am I?” is a question still being pondered.  From an article I’m not going to cite, I discovered that this absolutely required process of self-discovery is a process fraught with impediments.  You see, our minds will make up stuff all on their own, and even the very desire for self-discovery can interfere with the self-discovery process.  And, if that isn’t enough, who we are is so complex that the mind can’t conceive it.

So, are we doomed to founder on the rocks of life?  Thankfully, no, we’re not.  All we have to do is switch off our minds and experience the state of no mind to perceive reality as it really is . . . that’s the only way to know for sure . . . and then, to thine own self be true.

Well, now that that’s cleared up and we now know who we are . . . it’s merely a matter of following our hearts to experience the sublime satisfaction of living life to its fullest.

Ummmm. Right!?!

In spite of the obvious difficulties in knowing “who we are”, movies, novels, slogans, blogs, and memes continue to call for us to “follow your heart”. Related pieces of advice are “trust yourself,” “follow your instincts,” and “your heart will never lead you astray.”

The problem here is that not a bit of this advice is supported from God’s Word.

Rather than trust our hearts, we are to commit our hearts to God: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5–6). This passage gives an explicit command not to trust ourselves. And it gives the promise of guidance to those who choose to follow the Lord.

For anything to provide proper direction it must be based on objective truth. That is to say that whatever is consulted for guidance must reach a conclusion based on objective truth and not subjective, emotional inference.

The Bible teaches that man is to follow God. God declares, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him” (Jeremiah 17:7). God has perfect knowledge of everything (1 John 3:20), a trait often called omniscience. God’s knowledge is not limited in any way. God is aware of all events that have ever transpired, are currently occurring, and will ever happen (Isaiah 46:9–10). God’s knowledge goes beyond mere events and extends to thoughts and intentions (John 2:25; Acts 1:24).

It is not all this knowledge, however, that makes God a perfectly reliable source of guidance. God is also aware of every possibility, every eventuality, every imaginable outcome of any series of events (Matthew 11:21). That ability, combined with God’s goodness, enables God to give the best possible direction for people to follow.

God says this about the unregenerate heart: “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). This passage makes clear two reasons why no one should bind himself to following his heart when making decisions. First, there is nothing more deceitful in all of creation than the heart of man because of his inherited sin nature. If we follow our heart, we follow an untrustworthy guide.

We are, in fact, blinded to our own heart’s deceitful nature. As the prophet asks, “Who can understand it?” When we rely on ourselves for wisdom, we end up unable to tell right from wrong. The hit song of 1977, “You Light Up My Life,” contains these unfortunate words: “It can’t be wrong / When it feels so right.” Determining right from wrong based on “feelings” is a dangerous (and unbiblical) way to live.

Second, Jeremiah 17:9 teaches that the heart is desperately sick. There is no way to fix the heart. Rather, man needs a new heart. That is why, when a person comes to faith in Christ, he is made a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus does not fix the heart; instead, He replaces it with a new one.

But that does not mean that we can rely on our hearts after we come to faith in Christ. Even as believers, we are encouraged to follow God’s will over our own desires. The Bible teaches that “the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want” (Galatians 5:17).

We have an omniscient, benevolent Lord who promises to give us wisdom (James 1:5); we have His inspired, inerrant Word written down for us (2 Timothy 3:16). Why would we turn our backs on God and His eternal promises in order to pursue the whimsical impulses of the heart?

RALLY THREAD: Save America – Des Moines, Iowa, October 9, 2021

Sorry for the delay folks. Too many irons in the fire today, but making progress on a lot of fronts. When Ying is finally bathed, life will be good.

So, today, the real President of the United States – no matter what the mainstream media says – is hosting a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, a place most familiar to primary watchers.

There’s not much on Twitter as of this writing.

A little history of Des Moines:

Prehistoric inhabitants of early Des Moines

Based on archaeological evidence, the junction of the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers has attracted humans for at least 7,000 years. Several prehistoric occupation areas have been identified by archaeologists in downtown Des Moines. Discovered in December 2010, the “Palace” is an expansive, 7,000-year-old site found during excavations prior to construction of the new wastewater treatment plant in southeastern Des Moines. It contains well-preserved house deposits and numerous graves. More than 6,000 artifacts were found at this site. State of Iowa archaeologist John Doershuk was assisted by University of Iowa archaeologists at this dig.[16]

At least three Late Prehistoric villages, dating from about AD 1300 to 1700, stood in or near what developed later as downtown Des Moines. In addition, 15 to 18 prehistoric American Indian mounds were observed in this area by early settlers. All have been destroyed during development of the city.[17][18]

Origin of Fort Des Moines

Des Moines traces its origins to May 1843, when Captain James Allen supervised the construction of a fort on the site where the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers merge. Allen wanted to use the name Fort Raccoon; however, the U.S. War Department preferred Fort Des Moines. The fort was built to control the Sauk and Meskwaki tribes, whom the government had moved to the area from their traditional lands in eastern Iowa. The fort was abandoned in 1846 after the Sauk and Meskwaki were removed from the state and shifted to the Indian Territory.[19]

The Sauk and Meskwaki did not fare well in Des Moines. The illegal whiskey trade, combined with the destruction of traditional lifeways, led to severe problems for their society. One newspaper reported:

“It is a fact that the location of Fort Des Moines among the Sac and Fox Indians (under its present commander) for the last two years, had corrupted them more and lowered them deeper in the scale of vice and degradation, than all their intercourse with the whites for the ten years previous”.[19]

After official removal, the Meskwaki continued to return to Des Moines until around 1857.[18]

Archaeological excavations have shown that many fort-related features survived under what is now Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway and First Street.[19][20] Soldiers stationed at Fort Des Moines opened the first coal mines in the area, mining coal from the riverbank for the fort’s blacksmith.[21]

Early, non-Native American, settlement

Excavation of the prehistoric component of the Bird’s Run Site in Des MoinesFlood of Des Moines, 1851

Settlers occupied the abandoned fort and nearby areas. On May 25, 1846, the state legislature designated Fort Des Moines as the seat of Polk County. Arozina Perkins, a school teacher who spent the winter of 1850–1851 in the town of Fort Des Moines, was not favorably impressed:

This is one of the strangest looking “cities” I ever saw… This town is at the juncture of the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers. It is mostly a level prairie with a few swells or hills around it. We have a court house of “brick” and one church, a plain, framed building belonging to the Methodists. There are two taverns here, one of which has a most important little bell that rings together some fifty boarders. I cannot tell you how many dwellings there are, for I have not counted them; some are of logs, some of brick, some framed, and some are the remains of the old dragoon houses… The people support two papers and there are several dry goods shops. I have been into but four of them… Society is as varied as the buildings are. There are people from nearly every state, and Dutch, Swedes, etc.[22]

In May 1851, much of the town was destroyed during the Flood of 1851. “The Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers rose to an unprecedented height, inundating the entire country east of the Des Moines River. Crops were utterly destroyed, houses and fences swept away.”[23] The city started to rebuild from scratch.

Transcript: Professor David Clements Interviews Colonel John Mills – “The Deep State, Up Close and Personal”

We present here a TRANSCRIPT of a very long video from THE PROFESSOR’S RECORD, in which Prof. David Clements interviews Col. John Mills.

THANK YOU to GAIL COMBS for transcribing this terribly long but absolutely amazing interview.

Col. Mills reveals STARTLING information about so much – right out of the gate, he exposes the 2016 coup against Trump, and then goes right into the looming WORLD WAR WITH CHINA.

Then he goes back and fills in the details.

It’s well worth listening to, but if you want to find any of the AMAZING details later, this transcript will help. You can SEARCH this post and find where things are discussed.

Here you go – 21 pages of interview broken up into SEVEN PIECES.

I have made a few very minor spelling corrections on critical things like names. Otherwise – RAW.

1.

ROUGH TRANSCRIPT

It IS A COUP
Comey & Brennan KNEW Russia was FAKE in summer 2016 but pushed the dis-info anyway. Col Mills was called on secure phone a couple days after the election to help “We need you to be part of and help craft and finish the narrative that Trump is a Russian Spy we need an intell community assessment.

Col Phil Waldron introduced to Prof.

Mills had a 35+ year security carreer.

1st Gulf war….

We are in the final stages in a world wide collision with China… we have to stare down China from going full kinetic because they are under incredible duress at home. As bad as it is here, there are incredibly bad things going on in China that force dictators to lash out.

12 minutes Different Commanders in Chief

Carter
Carter hapless fecklessness powerless Sound familiar? Rapid colapse of Iran closest model of what we saw in Kabul. Carter was the original Obama & Biden. It was our fault. WE were the problem Like the british socialists in the UK who unseated Churchill, Carter was all about GRACEFUL DECLINE & Dis-establishment of the USA. Managed Decline.

Reagan
Return of America. A Can Do positive attitute. As messed up as we are we are the best thing out there.

Bush Senior
Status quo Republicans. We are LIKE DEMOCRATS EXCEPT BETTER. Not a good sales point. Panama, Gulf war. Not interested in economy

Clinton
Un Peace keeping involvement, increased role of government
Nat security advisor IDed al-Qaeda as major problem but Cliton did nothing which lead to 9/11. Didn’t realize til sent to Joint staff at pentagon exposed to an incredible amount of military planning that went on in 97 & 98 & 99 after the bombings Khobar towers, American embassies, major planning to go after Bin Laden. Everyone of the plans briefed to the White House and TURNED DOWN.

Bush Senior
Bush was status Quo establishment. Afghanistan done well until pivoted vocus to Iraq I think there was a close connection to Iraq.

18:30 – Dave Asks what is the difference between ‘Managed Decline’ and non-interventionist foreign policy. [ Washington avoid foreign entanglements] & Reagan peace thru strength. Both concerned with the JUST WAR DOCTRINE. Constitution ‘Declare’ War not MAKE war which seems to mean we have to be ATTACKED. Trump response fierce. War hawks equate Non-intervensionist = isolationism.

What is difference between Managed Decline and non interventionist policy. The Bushes seemed to want to get us into every conflict to some degree. Trump to his credit is not the guy who says let’s go to war with everyone.

20:20 Col Mills
I think there is a significant difference. Managed decline is we are not that different we are just like everyone else. The British Socialists turned the British Empire into a socialist state that was totally focused on a cradle to grave massive expansion of social services that is unsustainable. Focused on making the citizen [actually SUBJECT] a ward of the state because we are hapless feckless and without the state could not survive. So it is a different concept.

I am a big believer in the Trump Doctrine. We are going to minimize our conflict. We are going to minimize our foreign involvement BUT deterrents and capability are always going to be there to deter conflict. But if you cross a red line we are going to hit you so hard you are not going to know what happened.

That is different from the Bushes which is this perpetual: we are always going to be massively deployed forward in conflict.

22 minutes: Dave: most people have made up mind on whether should have been in Afghanistan or Iraq. Later faulty reports on weapons of mass destruction.
Bushes & Clinton forever wars They were fine with us over extended ourselves until there was no sense of mission no sense of victory no sense of coming home. Bushes would wrap themselves in American Flag. I didn’t like that. We were still holding on to 9/11 which what ever the causes, brought us together briefly.

But that changed with Obama, where we were apologetic for our greatness. Apologetic for everything.

23:45 Col Mills: It is this leading from the rear, It’s this kind of third person, we’re in the bleachers wathing, we are going to let others take the lead. This makes no sense. We had the most capability, we are the most influential. I have done so much in the Special Op community and the office of sec of defense, so much international partner collaboration and partner building. THEY DESPERATELY WANT OUR LEADERSHIP!

And the Carter, Clinton Obama mentality is We’re the cause of the problem, by us even saying anything we are causing problems, so we’re going to let YOU LEAD THE CONVERSATION. When in actuality, most of these countries, the reason they are even dialogging with us is they look up to us. They desperately want to know what we have to say, they desperately want to say, your the greatest country in the world, SHARE WITH US. TALK TO US TELL US. And instead they get this John Kerry abstract lecturing that no one can make any sense out of…. They DESPISE being lectured to in the abstract about multilateral-ism, about all these Belfer Center Concepts. It’s like give me something tangible and actionable.

That is why I totally reject everyones comment that Oh. They didn’t like Trump. Actually I was in a lot of those meetings And THEY LOVED TRUMP because he was CLEAR with ACTIONABLE with TANGIBLE and when he spoke that had umph that had gravitous behind it.

25:54 Dave:
He was also a threat in the sense that he looked at the cost/benefit. He’s a guy in deal making. He knows a good deal vs a bad deal. And business was great for the Haliburtons, business was great for the ‘primes’ if you will, prime contractors. BUT they were not in the business of the Tax Payer getting a bargain and TRUMP THREATENED THAT by saying what is the international community doing. Are they holding up their end of the bargain. How much tax payer money is going to maintain their security in countries we have been in for a very long time. That made him public enemy #1 for the military Industrial complex.

2.

Dave: Let me switch gears.
In 2008, at start of Obama years what were you doing.

27 minutes Col Mills:
I was actually on the nat’l Security Council at the White House at the tail end of the Bush year & beginning of Obama. I was the senior dept. defence rep for what was called the Comprehensive Cyber Security Initiative. Most of it is unclassified. But was a massive ramp up of American cyper security capabilities. The Largest. Not all have been unclassified. It was one of my tasks during Obama years. It took us 18 months to de-classifiy certain potions of it. Democrats spend 60 to 90 days reviewing previous Admin.

It goes back to Dick Clarke, in 2002 & 2003. (Carter) In addition to IDing Al Qaeda, Bin Laden and saw our greatest strategic liability as our cyber vulnerabilities. Which lead to the CNCI program being established in 2007.

So the Obama admin reviewed it and not only did they like it, THEY LOVED IT, AND THEY WANTED MORE OF IT! And they wanted to pour gasoline on it. Because it provided breathtaking and magical capabilities. Which lead to some of the abuses we discovered later during SPYGATE. As to my shock, many of these collection capabilities actually were foundational to SPYGATE.

29:15 Dave
OK so we survive 8 years of attack on foundational things we THOUGHT WERE SACROSANCT, like health care from a Constitutional stand point. & Obamacare, we had the rise of Edward Snowden & the disclosures that were there. And then you have this last year of the Obama Admin where most people were betting on Hillary Clinton getting a shot. You have an upset, but not an upset for the American people. he seemed to be invincible. Thanks to the Apprentice people knew him and had a sense of who he was so he was able to brush off attacks that would have destroyed any other candidate.

So you have this period of time and you also have General Mike Flynn in the midst of his time with the Defense Intelligence agency. Trump likes what he is hearing from this guy, so there are a lot of moving parts. So what I want you to drill down now is, during that transition, Col John Mills, what were you seeing in real time and perhaps, what were you asked to do by the various heads of different agencies.

31:45 minutes: Col Mills
It on one hand it is complex and on the other it is simple. With this ramp-up of cyber capabilities, which provided an intoxicating increase year per year in the ability to collect big data and use big data analytics at cyber speed to make sense and take action. And there is a lot more behind what I am talking about which I am not allowed to say. But if you were to stand on the watch floors of these major centers and watch and see the simultaneous capabilities it was breath taking.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
FBI watching terrorist but doing NOTHING, yet goad and lead and go after Patriots.

Haney murder called suicide.

What purpose of Afghanistan, Taliban, open borders????
FALSE FLAG??? SEE: Napolitano

33 minutes Dave:
So let me stop here. Most people don’t have.. Don’t share anything you can’t. Are you talking about a ?borg? movie and being able to in like a work room… the immediacy of finding information, whether it is surveillance through video, OR….
Col Mills : ALL OF THE ABOVE
Dave: OK, so that’s not just Hollywood. So we have the ability to drill down and have a map of everyone’s LIFE, really. If you look at the metadata it tells us so much.

33 minutes – Col Mills:
It really matured in 2012 under General Keith Alexander, and we also created Cyber Command in addition to NSA. But yes, the simultaneous capability to collect data of all kinds, pictures, voice traffic, data packages, data traffic machine to machine, internet, etc… Monitor Collect and INTEGRATE ALL OF THESE, it was an incredible capability.

Dave: Where do you come down on that. I am a small l libertarian. Libertarians are considered so naive because of the very things you are talking about. But at the same time we have got this thing called the Bill of Rights. we’ve got this thing called the fourth Amendment, we’ve got this thing called an OATH and I know you had to take to uphold and defend the Constitution.

What happens to the 4th Amendment. Have you had to do a gut check to be in the intel community. OK I know what I swore an oath to, I know what it says, something about having probable cause, someone being suspected of a crime, and yet many of the disclosures of Snowden shows that. No this was bulk collection thru a FISA Court, it is almost like a rubber stamp.

Explain to us. That might be a question a lot of us would like to ask is how do you reconcile the machine that you didn’t create but you are in the soup, right, How do you make sense of this by being a good soldier or someone who is serving my country while knowing this has got to be dangerous. It is almost like splitting the atom. Good stuff but a lot of bad stuff could happen.

35:20 – Col Mills
Well this is a, again the alliance between the US Government and Google and Big Tech, didn’t really.. I was there the first few years of the Obama admin & there was a dance. But they came together in 2010, 2012 and to address your specific question, I have mentioned the word INTOXICATING. That is the challenge, once this magic is unleashed, and policy makers appointed or elected or carreerists start to see the capabilities it becomes INTOXICATING and it is no longer can we the question a reasonable person who has taken an oath to the Constitution should be raising is should we. And do we have the proper control mechanisms. Are people who are doing this doing it for the correct and right purposes. And I think the challenge is the collection far surpassed the standing checks such as the FISA process. It totally swamped and overwhelmed it.

This is where POTUS Trump’s term the Swamp and the Deep State. At first when I first heard those terms I was going I don’t know what they mean and after a while I realized I’m IN IT. I help to create this!

We need more & more White Hats to stand up and question this because these capabilities have begun to be used in mass against the American People to suppress and censor. We are facing an absolutely unprecedented Iron Curtain of censorship, that that, I do not mean this pejoratively or simplistically. Liberals always like to bemoan the McCarthy era, well I go there is only one person, if you understand history, that lost there job and that was McCarthy. Everyone else came out far better who were on “The Blacklist” Well I am sorry but this is McCarthyism on steroids, what we are dealing with right now. A lot of the foundational tools and capabilities were created for originally good purposes. [SEE: Haney above] Of course we want to track terrorists but we also have people who are in power now who have a very interesting definition of ‘Terrorist’ and they are using these capabilities in the wrong direction and the wrong way.

3.

38:25 Dave
The next question I want to ask you picking up from what you just said is, You have this thing that I’ve heard of and it’s Hammer and Scorecard. Is this real? [@ ~38:45 you can see Col Mills stifle a laugh] What do you know about Hammer and Scorecard. You talk of the Cyber Strategic Command, this unholy alliance between Google, the Obama Administration around 2012. But a lot of this stuff you are talking about is alarming for a couple reasons. Because when I was a prosecutor I learned about this system called Prism. [ @ ~39:15 Col Mills starts nodding.] And Prism was being used in a way where the DEA was giving tips to other law enforcement agencies and of course the prosecutors weren’t informed. Because if we knew the source of the tip, you have to disclose it under Brady vs Maryland. Under the confrontation clause everyone, everyone who is criminally accused should be able to ask questions of the people in the system. [@ ~39:35 Col Mills smile widens] And they created this way of training to hide and keep secret Prism so you had parallel reconstruction. [Nods again]

So when you talk about this intoxicating power, WOW so if you can keep this secret, [@39:55 BIG NOD] we can start GAMING the way we go after ‘Bad People’ [opens mouth and shakes head] and perhaps in the ‘name of GOOD’ get a result but violate certain Constitutional protections where we are actually as big a lawbreakers as the people we are going after. [Nods again]

I know PRISM is different than Hammer and Scorecard, but a lot of these terms we hear about and it is almost like this mythic thing. But it is becoming more relevant now because we have watched Mike Lindell’s Cyber Symposium. We’ve seen what appears to be packet captures. And a lot of people are saying where did this stuff come from. Is there a plausible theory based on sources since that seems to be the Million Dollar Question. Maybe you can’t answer that, but I was at the Cyber Symposium, [Col Mills’ eyes shift to left several times] I tried to ask everyone and their Mom, as a Law prof, I do not know where to even begin to ask those questions. Since I have you here, I know I just threw a lot at you. — UMMM HAMMER & SCORECARD, what do we need to know about that….

41:26 Col Mills
OK, under the laws regarding Top Secret there is essentially a 25 year embargo on top secret level information, so I will obfuscate here [Dave laughs, OK] But I think you are hitting the nail on the head. These capabilities easily pervert what was originally what was on white hats mind on… We all want to see justice done. We want to see lawful civil society. We want to see bad people put away. But unfortunately unless you constantly check yourself or there is a way you are held accountable, and there are control measures on the floor at NSA and other intelligence centers and during main operations. You have to be careful. I would say up until recently it was very common to self-report when you accidentally collected on an American. That was considered right and noble and those things happened…. Have to call in the lawyers….

I think unfortunately with some it was past that where it became a tee-hee, tee-hee LOOK AT WHAT WE CAN DO. And LOOK at how we can SPY on someone who has just become nominated as a candidate to become President. Tee-hee, tee-hee, let’s all go up to Fort Mead and have a small group meeting. And share the information tee-hee, tee-hee.

So I think the challenge is the lack of transparency, the velocity of collection, the exponential increase in the ability to collect. It really throws a lot of the accepted norms and practices out the window. Because it is now the J Edger Hoover mentality that takes over. Where who cares we are the final arbitrators of goodness, therefore That’s OUR CALL AND WE ARE GOING TO DO IT.

43:58 – Dave
You gave me the best non-answer I have ever heard.

But you let me know why, so I am hearing from John Mills that you can neither confirm nor deny the existence of a certain program.

@44:10 – Col Mills
On Hammer & Scorecard I will say I have been part of so many darned named operations and code words, sometimes it gets a little foggy in my mind. But there were cabilities developed and this was back during … I will group Hammer & Scorecard if it did exist.. crossed with the capabilities during the 2005 to 2008… so even before Obama was on board.

I call these remote access capabilities. Which, I am not going to name the person, but back in the 80s kinda pioneered the original remote access through dial-up. I kinda call Ferris Bueller’s Day Off [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091042/] There is this one gentleman he is fairly well known, and he no longer works for the agency, he is retired. And actually he was out in your neck of the woods there at one of the Labs and held one of the Chair Seats out there. And he pioneered the access thru dial-ups [Dave is chuckling & nodding ] Which is the first generation of remote access and he was going WOW, just like Ferris Bueller was going and figuring out how to access and change grades. So people went WOW, I can just dial-up and change anything I want to, this is cool! So some crazy things went on.

@45:50 – DAVE
I am going to move on, but the reason I am asking the question maybe to plant the seed for some questions ahead.

Is the mechanism of how, cyber interference took place in 2020, 2018, 2016, [@46:15 Col Mills nods] The tools of the trade..

The question I want to ask anyone because I am operating on blind faith, is that you have got this very public campaign, of Mike Lindell [Col’s Eyes shift left] putting his money where his mouth is. Finding White Hats and Patriots, [Col’s Eyes shift left] part of me says look, God Bless Himm, but I don’t believe the fate of the free world, and the information collected by Mike Lindell, like it is all depending on this man. When we had someone as savvy as President Trump, the Commander in Chief, the most powerful man world and just to review his greatness, I have been catching up on The Art of The Deal, [ Col smiles & nods] And seeing how the man’s mind works. I just find it unfathomable that the military during his watch, whether it is 2018 or 2020, [Col’s Eyes shift left] didn’t have the real time ability, to monitor what was going on. [Col Mills INTERUPTS…]

@47:25 – Col Mills
OK so we are now to a very specific question. So here is my VIEW POINT ON IT. <=== [a bit if a strawman?]

One, I love Mike Lindell and I am a big supporter of Mike Lindell.
Two, was there foreign interference? I THINK ABSOLUTELY.

In the first two films that Mike presented, which were really the work of Dennis Montgomery and  Mary Fanning [Hammer & Scorecard] Umm, Umm, Let me just say, umm… I, I, I, …analyzed this and there were 6 possible outcomes, bottom line that quality and that visibility is essentially nation state level.

AND Unless you are standing at the watch floor of Fort Mead or the FBI has some capability, or DHS, you aren’t going to see that BUT they didn’t see that I hold the Federal Government to the SAME STANDARDS. The reality is there is only a few federal laws on the conduct of elections so neither Law Enforcement nor the Intelligence Community HAD THE LEGAL AUTHORITY CHARTER STARTING POINT TO LOOK THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THE RIGHT EVIDENCE and I know Chris Krebs [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Krebs], I know what went on. They did not have the people, program, resources, legal authority, or even KNOW HOW of how elections are conducted. To tune our collection capabilities to look for the right things.

So I question what Dennis Montgomery and  Mary Fanning presented but at the same time I hold the Federal Government to the SAME STANDARDS and they are not being truthful because they do not have the legal charter to begin with on the conduct of elections, they do not have experience on the conduct of elections. So when Chris Krebs says or when Paul Nakasone [https://www.armed-services.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/Nakasone_03-25-21.pdf] says most secure election ever, THEY HAVE NO IDEA.

I think it would be far more truthful for them to say we aren’t trained to do this, we don’t know what to look for, we do not have the people, programs or resources.

@50:00 Dave:

Perhaps the question I am asking, perhaps there is only a small number of people who know the answer. I gather that Chris Krebs didn’t know what he is talking about as soon as he opened his mouth based on just common sense of what was going on in real time….
[lists examples of fraud]
Trump was tweeting in advance about how fraud was going to be carried out. [@ 50:45 Col Mills eyes to left, then looks down smiles and tries to hide a laugh] It was almost as if he had a crystalball. And umm [Col Interupts]

@50:52: Col Mills
I’ll tell yeah, I was asked to write almost a hundred memos to analyze from spring of 2020 to December 2020 umm ahh on essentially umm what election integrity was, what that meant, I’ll claim I coined the term election integrity. And the RNC seemed to magically discover the term on Jan 7th. But I wrote many memos on that. On July there was a tweet from the president that essentially came from one of the things that I wrote. [cuts eyes to the right twice] So there was a small group of us that saw it coming. And WE KNEW THE FIX WAS IN.

And we were willing to do some analysis. And not just operate from an accepted narrative.

@52:00 – Dave
OK, so I am glad to hear that. And you mentioned that Krebs & Co. either weren’t looking at the problem, or had the resources to evaluate it. But there have been discussions at least in some circles about the Exec Order that was signed in 2018 that dealt with foreign interference. [Col smiles and nods head emphatically] Any thoughts as to why it would have been signed. [Col. bursts out laughing] And I want to say that it was re-authorized last September which would have covered one calendar year [interrupt yeh, and still laughing smiling] and the timing of that is there any hope that perhaps although the swamp is deep, there seems to be a lot of people surrounding the President that don’t seem to be looking out for him or We the People. What do you think prompted that and instead of telling me about whether something has happened as a result of it cause I don’t think you will be able to give me an answer to that. What COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BASED ON THAT EXECUTIVE ORDER BEING SIGNED.

@53:14 — Col Mills
yeah, very simple, most of this fell upon the shoulders of the Attorney General. And the swampiest part of this swamp is I would say, in some ways I’d say a tie between the Dept of State but it is really the Department of Justice. In some ways Barr did more than any attorney general ever attempted to break up the swamp but he finally caved, folded and came out throwing the president under the bus. Most of this would fall under the attorney general to look into specific things.

One of the basic elements the Attorney General has never enforced, is three elements in 18 US code. There is no debate about it you have to be a US citizen to vote yet counties and states have worked with the DOJ willfully to register voters who are unlawful. … Barr FAILED to ENFORCE. In Virginia, 8 to 12 % are unlawful. We got that via jury duty rejection which comes straight from the voter roles.

4.

@ 55:15 Dave:
OK now speaking of Attorney Generals, we have the beginning of the Trump admin, you’re still keeping an eye on the cyber components and the cyber threats to our nation. I am getting a lot of questions about the timing or purpose of Jeff Sessions. The very short tenure. The reason why it comes up is because of the timing of when John Durham came on board. Heres another mystery figure that none of us see him, none of us hear from him. I think we started to hear from him oddly enough, from Bill Barr. There are some things that are curious. Apple informed Adam Shiff and Eric Swalwell who were two high ranking members of the intel committee. Oh BTW we have been disclosing documents and stuff you have been in possession of over the past four years. I think that came out this past May. As a prosecutor who has convined Grand Juries, you have to have the subpoena power to do that. And it has to originate from some where. The fact that Apple was complying with some sort of subpoena for four years was very curious because that would have pre-dated Bill Barr. Oddly enough it seems to start with the start of the Trump admin. And you have this very short lived appointment of Jeff Sessions. You have had some interfacing with John Durham thru your work. Can you connect some of the dots for us on what do you know about John Durham. What have you don to help assist this. And is there anything I have said that you can flesh out and separate fact from fiction.

@ 57:35 — Col. Mills
Quick chronology from the summer of 2016.
I was in the halls of the Pentagon in the summer of 16 just a few days before the Republican Convention to nominate Trump. And someone who had been a Bush appointee, I ran into him and said, you’re going to support Trump Right? And I will never forget this, this is literally verbatim what he said:

No, We see more OPPORTUNITIES with HER!

I got in his face and said who is WE? And what opportunities do you see? From that point on I was a thousand percent Trump. And that is when I realized there is a Swamp.

So Summer of 16 is really when Crossfire Hurricane really started. And Comey and Brennan.

Now I was part of something linking back to C&CI. There was a body called the Cyber Response Group, [CRG] that I kind of departed about 2014. But the CRG kinda became important and maybe was the body… We heard about unmasking, Susan Rice, things like that…. So the CRG I helped set up way back in 2007, 2008. But the Obama Admin kinda repurposed that group. And just because of the roles and responsibilities I don’t think they wanted me in it. I kinda ceased participating. The CRG kinda became the center of gravity for certain special Cyber things OK? Which may have included the unmasking activities in 2015, 2016. So I think they were starting to really ramp up for the election, conveniently had these incredible collection capabilities, as things moved towards summer of 2016, and Trump being nominated, and when Trump was nominated in summer of 2016, I think all the capabilities started to focus on him.

All those capabilities we were talking about pivoted anda Significant Element Let’s FOCUS ON THIS TARGET.

@ 1:00:25 – DAVE
Do you think that would have occurred if you had some establishment like Mitt Romney? Do you think that apparatus [INTERRUPT]

1:00:35 – Col Mills
I think it would have happened and they would have beat the stuffing out of Mitt Romney, 300 dollar hair cut guys I like to call them, and he would have just lost gracefully. Because that tradition and lineage, as I have delved more into election integrity and politics, There is a money class and a donor class and a political class that is far more concerned with ‘gracefully losing’

So Yeah, they would have focused on Romney, they would have beat the stuffing out of him, he would and the RNC would have collected a lot of money and said, Well guys we gave it the old college try. We will just have to donate MORE MONEY to try it again next time.

1:00:12 – Dave
So I guess my question is,… I have disabused myself in thinking there is a great difference between the Left and the Right, I have heard Eric Winestein refer to K-fabrication it is a lot like Professional wrestling….[Prof’s, recollections he is a fan. Col Mills laughs] … Do you have a sense there is a Deep State that says, you know something, A lot of this is just OPTICS, [Col smiles and nods and goes UnHuh] and sometimes the Ds are going to get their ways, and sometimes the Rs are going to get their’s but what is important is that we do not disturb the status quo on a few major things like, the Military Industrial complex, the Federal Reserve policies, make sure you do not touch that Federal Reserve, things like that. Or do you really think there is these deep divided factions between Left and Right. Because when I see George W. holding hands and sharing mementos with Michelle Obama, When I see the affection after they go thru the wars and then all of a sudden when they retire, they are all best friends. It reminds me of Professional Wrestling. Do you have that same sense?

1:03:00 – Col Mills
It has evolved into that direction. That is what it has become and I mentioned that discussion that I ran into a Bush appointee and I asked him, you’re going to support Trump Right? And his response is:

No we see more opportunities with her.

In my mind that immediately flashed, Oh my gosh, there IS NO DIFFERENCE, They are the same thing. There is this little show dynamics, sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but it is predominantly a D lead Swamp and the Republicans are, it is just like with, Newt Gingrich and his Revolution in 94, he came in and was originally told, We are the minority, don’t worry about it, don’t do anything, just spend most of your day playing golf. NO!, not going to do that so he was a disruptive event.

Trump was a disruptive event. NO! I am not going to play along with this.

So, Yes there is, Romney will SAY, Oh, No I am fighting for these values – No he isn’t. He is very happy to lose gracefully, because they are benefactors of the same process. It has evolved into that.

1:04:15 – Dave
Let me drill down on one thing, I touched on but I haven’t gotten your thoughts on yet. You talked about this intoxicating machinery that started to be aimed at Pres. Trump in the summer of 2016. This guy is not good for the Swamp. Find out everything you can about him, let’s crush this guy. And then something happened. He wasn’t CRUSHED, every poll was wildly off, every single celebrity and stink News Host was eating Humble Pie. But it didn’’t take them long from saying he’s here so let’s never let this happen again. So take us thru that fall of Sept 16 and I want to get your thoughts on John Durham as well.

1:05:15 – Col Mills
So I think what happened is, Trump’s their guy so focus all resources on CRUSHING HIM. But they had not perfected the art thru electronic means thru election machines, thru absentee voting means, they had not perfected the art of dominating the vote yet. That occurred in 2020. They did not realize that Trump would generate this turnout, this interest that he had. Especially in several key states.

But they wanted to CRUSH AND DESTROY HIM ANYWAY.

So in early October, I was at a dinner in London, and it just so happened, that someone who was a very senior official in the FBI essentially the head of Cyber at the FBI for a number of years. Who retired and went to work for a major up and coming cyber firm that I am not going to mention right now. But I think you can start putting the pieces together and figure out who I am talking about and which Cyber Security firm. I was there on a Five Eyes information sharing meeting in London. And I had been invited to this dinner. This very senior former official, I believe it was October 6th, 2016. There were about 100 of us at this dinner, most everybody is an elite, a Globalist. At these dinners we are asked to stand up and say something about ourselves and something we are passionate about. And he stood up and I have know this guy for a number of years, Sat at the White House with him, been at many meeting with him, and he had been very helpful to me, in some other endeavors which caused a great deal of allegiance to him.

When the microphone came to him, he stood up and says, TRUMP IS A RUSSIAN ASSET AND WE’RE GOING TO PROVE IT! He was adamant, passionate, he had a meltdown. I had never seen him do this.

Most of the people in the room are going ?? PFFFFttt [WTF??] What are you talking about, Hillary’s going to win. And he is like WE ARE GOING TO PROVE IT!

As more information came out, I believe he was in London at the behest of James Comey, and to coordinate with Gina Haspel on collection against Trump….. With the timeline of the events that I have seen…. It was documented by Rick Grennell and Ratcliffe, information declassified last fall, very important, that Comey gave the green light to spin Crossfire Hurricane up to highest levels. Essentially in the last few days of Sept, early Oct…. And I am pretty sure that personality was there.

I have 27 pages in front of John Durham. [Eyes cut to left twice, & stutters] I hope something happens.

We have to be a Constitutional based society.

5.

1:21:47 – Col Mills
Well I think it was all of the above. [eyes to left] But I will mention there was a gentleman [eyes left] who was deputy assistant sec for defense for cyber, I was in another office but I worked closely with. He moved up to be with Ash Carter, as essentially Chief of Staff and a person called Eric Rosenbock. I think he is one of the interesting personalities in this….. I remember seeing him the day, after the election and he was a zombie…. And I talked to him… He was in shock…. It was rumored that very likely… Alexander was director of NSA and Cyber command and they were going to separate and word was Rosenbock under Hillary would be director of NSA. And he would be in a strategic position to go back and review some of the collections going on during 2016. Your listeners can interpret what that means. [remove embarrassing D communications and tweek other communications so they could be used to convict enemies would be my guess. – ‘beating Donald Trump is not enough. He has to be crushed to the earth, and squashed like a bug. We have to burn down his village, pillage his valley, shame his horde and send his army into hiding so that he and his ugly, hate-spewing kind never rise again.’ READ ==> https://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/donald-trump-lose-badly-abolish-hate-brewing-u-s-article-1.2724357 ]

I think he was an important player, he is at the Balfour center @ Harvard right now.

There were a lot of personalities, I mentioned Susan Rice and the unmasking that the CRG may have had a role in.

1:24:00 – Dave
So you have all this stuff going on. And then you have the inauguration. Trump gets by despite the efforts of the enemy to saboyage [Col nods] And then you have what looks like major leaking going on. [Col oh yeah, oh yeah]

1:24:20 – Col Mills
You had the Vindmans… who were unbelievable, unprofessional, unethical. You had the Deep Staters running around. Remember the Executive Office of the President is roughly about 7,000 folks. Many of them are careerists and military that have been detailed over from their departments and agencies. And Again DC [Dave- Interrupts]

1:24:55 – Dave
So do you think Trump responded day one to deal with the leaks.

1:25:00 – Col Mills
I think there are too many Never Trumpers on his administration. There were too many careerists that were actively working and facilitating, — again the person who invited me was a carreerist who called me up and said John we need you on this group. And he was just GIDDY WITH EXCITEMENT cause we’re gonna PROVE… and he is a careerist. He should not have a position. So from Day one it was challenging. [I think they used ‘Trump is a Russia asset’ to POISON anyone who would other wise be neutral.–GC]
You mentioned Jeff Sessions. I really liked Jeff Sessions. I think Jeff Sessions Faux Pax was he acted as if there was normalcy going on. [He still believed we had rule of law – GC] And he thought he was doing the right thing by… Because that is what we do as professionals, we appoint Special Counsels [Remember these were his colleagues and friends. I do not think he was aware of how bad the rot and EVIL was and actually though he was going to clear Trump’s name. – GC] Instead of saying NO! I want more evidence and detail. [Which he actually could not do because of his conflict of interest -GC] Because it was a fraud, a lie, 18 US Code a false statement by a Federal Official…. Comey and Brennan should be indicted for false statements at a minimum. I think Jeff Sessions was lied to. But he thought he was doing the right thing.

1:26:30 – Dave – Right thing you mean by recusing himself

Col Mills, by recusing himself and by allowing the appointment of a special prosecutor. Up until that time there was a BC -AD in Washington. 2016, BC with Trump it was after that.

1:26:55 – Dave
We have been going a long time, I am learning a lot and I am loving it
I want to touch on two people though. You have General Mike Flynn, [ eyes to left] there was a thought for a role in the Trump admin. That did not come to fruition. Any observations 2016 on. Either the threat that Flynn presented to the Deep State. [chewing lips.] Because there was obviously there was a bogus entrapment case if you want to call it that that was set-up to incriminate him over nothing since we have just established that the Russia Hoax was a BIG LIE. [Smile.]

So let’s start there, what do you make of Mike Flynn during this time frame.

Col Mills: He is another disruptive event. He is a disruptive event to the Army General and to the military general officers, flag officer culture because he is an American patriot. And he wants to do the right thing. As we have discovered under the current Chairman Milley, What in the bloody world has happened top our general officers and admirals gofos serving Caesar and not the Constitution. Trump was disruptive, Flynn was disruptive, he was a threat. He was a threat to small ‘C’ conservative military culture, he was a threat to the swamp. They contrived, took him out and this contrived PENCE firing, I thought, did Pence KNOW it was all fake? I don’t know, but in the end Pence Choked on Jan 6, 2021. When I believe he had a lawful…. Where he should have AT LEAST asked clarifying questions of the State electors. He chose not to, he choked and the rest is history. So this contrived firing, Flynn was disruptive and a threat.

JOHN DURHAM
I think this is critical so a bit of background info.

This goes into how the media got Bill Clinton off the hook. “…prosecutor Ken Starr made one huge mistake right at the start after he was appointed by a panel of judges to handle a very politically sensitive investigation involving a series of shady-looking bank loans related to a failed land deal called “Whitewater”…. The mistake Starr made was that he opted to be as completely transparent as he could during the course of his investigation, to demonstrate he was not some secret inquisitor. And Democrats and their news media allies took full and complete advantage of Starr’s naïve transparency…. Whereas before such vicious scorched-earth tactics had been reserved for the multiple women who had dared to come forward and publicly talk about their liaisons with Clinton – or about his attempts to sexually force himself upon them – now they would utilize upon a Special Counsel and his staff….”

The purchase went through late Oct 2019…just before…Covid started to rear its ugly head. To make a long story short, the “worthless” health care system NOW turns a multi million dollar PROFIT. Just 2 short years later…and trust me it has NOTHING to do with improved “management”, and ALL to do with “special” funding given to hospitals, research, and health care providers for Covid…..”

“….Durham, recently indicted Michael a Sussman, a Hillary Clinton and Perkins Coie (remember them from all my writings?) lawyer. On the surface it seemed a big nothing burger meant to distract and placate us on team MAGA, while the Arizona audit was being revealed. The MSM even helped to propagate that narrative. BUT, if one were to read the entire 27 pages, it was NOT a nothing burger, but a PREDICATE. This is THE ground work. It is, I truly believe, the beginning of the END of ALL of them…..” READ THE REST

………………..

Back to the transcript:

Dave: We are going to go rapid fire, I still have not heard about JOHN DURHAM [Both smiling] What do you know about John Durham. Give me your best thoughts on how he fits into this and is there any hope. [big smile] I am of the mind, and I will give you my thought on this. When I was a prosecutor, I went after indictments I never presented a media report. [nods] I never issued a report to the media… I never did that once [Eyes shift left.]…. Why would I tell what I have on the bad guys so they can now prepare. [continues to smile] I find that very bizarre. I know that Mueller had this report. Maybe that is part of the cultural zeitgeist we are all expecting to be debriefed. [eyes shift left twice.] Mueller, what he was doing was political theatre. If Durham is real [opens mouth to speak] and there is actual meat on the bones, [smiles] tactically that would be a very STUPID thing to do.

But is John Durham Real?

What bearing does your work have if anything on what John Durham is doing? [big smile]

And from a timeline stand point do you have a firm sense of when he entered the picture?

Col Mills: As you know he is a prosecutor and as you know all these things are held close to the vest as law enforcement sensitive and as legal preceedings. So let me go, a lot of this is not publicaly known, it is not even known to involve-es such as me. I submited my 27 pages. It took me almost two years to absolutely insure that they had it, they received it, they acknowledged it and hopefully something was going to be done with it.

Dave: When did you submit your 27 pages.

Col Mills: Well I submitted it several times. But I didn’t have confirmation, it was early 2020. I was submitting pieces of it to DOJ and Barr since early 2018.

Dave: Ok so your part of that the 27 pages, does that more or less cover what you shared with our audience about the lack of good faith with Comey already having a pre-determined decision and having something he was going to sign off on. Was that what you were submitting to John Durham? Your involvement on basically giving a rubber stamp for the Russia hoax.

@1:31:50
Col Mills: Yeah it was that but it was even beyond that. I mean this one important detail. I happened to be at a meeting in DC in early 2018. And the person I was meeting came in and said you know the whose in the next room? No no whose in the next room? They said a guy named Michael Hayden. General Micheal Hayden. He is on his twice a week coordinating call – THIS IS EARLY 2018, early 2018 — he is on his twice a week coordinating call with Brennan who is OUT OF OFFICE, COMEY who is in OFFICE [Trump fired Comey on May 9, 2017], And I believe it was Mueller who was the forth personality. WHAT in the BLOODY WORLD are these four people, some who were actually in office… Why are they coordinating talking points. And they are FROM ONE SIDE OF THE AISLE and FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE AISLE and like you said they are together. [WIKI–”… investigation was conducted by special prosecutor Robert Mueller from May 2017 to March 2019.” Col Mills may have his dates mixed and this was in early 2017 before the Special Council when Comey was still in office.]

Dave: If memory serves, Brennan had his privileges (clearance?] revoked. [Col. nods] That is why they started taking jobs with CNN and so it is odd that some of those folks like Comey was still privy to information. [NO NOT FORGET NEED TO KNOW!!!] It sounds like he was sharing information with folks that he shouldn’t be. Col Mills says ABSOLUTELY!!!

So what I am going to do now is a rapid fire line of questions if you can answer these with a very short answer….

So if you had to ID a person [½ smile] that presents the greatest threat domestically to the Republic. Not talking of foreign actors. Who comes to mind. [Col big smile]

1:33:54
Col Mills: WOW, Comey, Brennan, Hayden, and Hayden I had so much respect for, I really thought he was incredible, I think the 3 of them are bad actors. I think the entire current admin. is uninterested in a constitutional concept called America.

Dave: So not one person but a Hydra with many heads.

…….

I think they are missing the fact the ‘hydra’ is just the go-fors.

7.

This gets into China.

BACKGROUND:
Jack Posobiec, Joe Hoft and Steve Bannon has been warning that China is not in good shape.
China Is In A Financial Crisis (6 minutes)
https://rumble.com/vnbutg-china-is-in-a-financial-crisis.html

……

Back to the transcript.

Dave: Same question but foreign stage. You mentioned China

Col Mills: That’s China absolutely. With the debacle in Kabul by this administration demonstrating an absolute lack of resolve or interest in asserting American values much less the coalition of liberal democrat republics in their opposition to China, We/they have created an almost unstopable trajectory towards world war. China looks at the fecklessness of this administration as a Green Light. Now they are under great duress at home. Shi is under great domestic duress. We don’t realize it. [Counting on his fingers]

  1. They input roughly 50% of their food.
  2. Roughly 50% of their energy
  3. The have to conduct all their transactions in the almighty dollar. [Not true. Australia has a deal to deal in yen.]

We can easily constrict them and disable them by squeezing any of them or all three of those.

  1. Afghanistan gave them the land bridge to their oil access in Iran.
  2. A lot of their food comes from America and if the current resident of the white house was serious about asserting American and Western interests he would use that as leverage.
3.Xi is on a rampage destroying his own companies and IPOs because of the fear he has of his own big Tech. So he is kinda taking care of that for us. It is bizzare he is destroying his own economy because he feels they are a threat. But it is China China China.

Dave: So there is basically a Chinese Deep State that he is dealing with even though we don’t see them as the good guys in what ever iteration. [smiles & nods]

The food is interesting because I have seen a bit of a propaganda campaign with the Bill Gates and the GMOs [eyes shift left twice] of the world who are trying to persuade us to eat really really crappy food.[eyes shift left] There is this really big kick to get us away from beef and cattle and stuff that provides great nutrition [eyes shift left, smiles] and I bring that up because I know that China is one of the primary consumers of meat, beef [nods] and we have got what they don’t have which is these large swaths of grazing lands. And it just makes you wonder if that propaganda campaign to get people on the Burger King Impossible burger or these documentaries like plant nation. [eyes shift left] If that’s part of the propaganda wing. And I say that because we already see that when it comes to distribution, Chinese control of our theaters, Chinese control over what movies America can show in their respective land. There are quotas on the number of films. It is kind of interesting that you brought up those three pillars. I do not think people realize how important the food component is. That is one of the major areas that we could apply tremendous pressure to reassert ourselves. [nods]

OK now I want to end on a more positive note. So let me ask you this John, You and I seem to be on the same page with what occurred November 3rd as being tantamount to a coup. What hope do you have and what gives you the resolve to fight each day. Cause I’ll tell you right now, that I talked on the phone with Lin Wood, yesterday for about 2 hours. And we are both tired. We have been fighting every day in any way we know how [nods] and it was humbling because Lin has been fighting a long time taking on all comers but it was the first time I sensed a weariness from him. Something has got to give. [murmurs assent] It’s September. If we go thru another election cycle and I am saying of 2021, there are other elections that are going to continue we to use these machines that we know are absolutely compromised. [eyes shift left] And if we keep overlaying garbage with more fraudulent garbage it creates the perception that everything is OK. We need to solve the murder mystery of November 3 last year. [nods] So if you could send us on our way, if there is a charge you can give my viewers on why we have got to keep fighting. Where do you draw your strength from [[eyes shift right, smile] and what would you like to see happen.

Co Mills: Well, we have no choice. There is no where else to go as I think Lt General Flynn has said. We have no choice we have to fight. Even as weary as we are as insurmountable as the odds may seem, we have no choice. We have to fight. And I think there is a growing movement that is unstoppable even though we are facing this iron curtain of censorship, I think there is a growing movement between Arizona, between Georgia, Pennsylvania. It is US the people. We’re the ones in control. It’s the COUNY, the county we must re-assert ourselves at the county level.

So I feel as tough as it may seem, as insurmountable as the odds may seem, we are actually building momentum in multiple areas and it is average individual citizens who are rising up. In Virginia we are pushing for a forensic audit. Senator Manachase is leading that the establishment doesn’t like that. They just want to focus on the gubernatorial election. We can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can take care of November 3rd and address an upcoming election. We can do these. So I have absolute faith and confidence because I can see a growing tide of citizens who will not relent they will be persistent and they will push themselves at the school board level at the county election board, its us and we are not going to accept the status quo.Because that’s what got us, we always assume someone else would take care of the election process. Yes someone else was taking care of the election process. That is why we are in this mess. It is time for us the citizen to get involved and I see it.

I have been fighting this since the 2019 elections in Virginia. I realized the utter massive fraud in Virginia. And I purposed myself so I have been going since then on this topic. I see positive momentum going our direction. We have to show resolve this is a battle of Wills. This is a battle of wills and we must persevere.

Dave: Well, Colonel John Mills, I have learned a ton tonight. You have helped connect some dots for me….

ColMills: Thank you so much Professor. Social media… Colonel ret john on Gettr …

Amazing group of veterans called:
National Election Integrity Association Website
WWW.NEIA.US
We have some incredible films at that website…. I have trained and equipped six foreign national militaries, organized trained and equipped. We are available to organized trained and equip citizens at the county level to retake their election system, their election process and all other functions such as the county school board. We give a very specific actionable model and steps to train and equip the patriot at the county level. A number of groups are signing up across the nation and we are walking them through and we are seeing great results.

SPECIAL SECTION: Message For Our “Friends” In The Middle Kingdom

I normally save this for near the end, but…basically…up your shit-kicking barbarian asses. Yes, barbarian! It took a bunch of sailors in Western Asia to invent a real alphabet instead of badly drawn cartoons to write with. So much for your “civilization.”

Yeah, the WORLD noticed you had to borrow the Latin alphabet to make Pinyin. Like with every other idea you had to steal from us “Foreign Devils” since you rammed your heads up your asses five centuries ago, you sure managed to bastardize it badly in the process.

Have you stopped eating bats yet? Are you shit-kickers still sleeping with farm animals?

Or maybe even just had the slightest inkling of treating lives as something you don’t just casually dispose of?

中国是个混蛋 !!!
Zhōngguò shì gè hùndàn !!!
China is asshoe !!!

And here’s my response to barbarian “asshoes” like you:

OK, with that rant out of my system…

Justice Must Be Done.

The prior election must be acknowledged as fraudulent, and steps must be taken to prosecute the fraudsters and restore integrity to the system.

Nothing else matters at this point. Talking about trying again in 2022 or 2024 is hopeless otherwise. Which is not to say one must never talk about this, but rather that one must account for this in ones planning; if fixing the fraud is not part of the plan, you have no plan.

Kamala Harris has a new nickname since she finally went west from DC to El Paso Texas: Westward Hoe.

OK now for the fine print.

This is the WQTH Daily Thread. You know the drill. There’s no Poltical correctness, but civility is a requirement. There are Important Guidelines,  here, with an addendum on 20191110.

We have a new board – called The U Tree – where people can take each other to the woodshed without fear of censorship or moderation.

And remember Wheatie’s Rules:

1. No food fights
2. No running with scissors.
3. If you bring snacks, bring enough for everyone.
4. Zeroth rule of gun safety: Don’t let the government get your guns.
5. Rule one of gun safety: The gun is always loaded.
5a. If you actually want the gun to be loaded, like because you’re checking out a bump in the night, then it’s empty.
6. Rule two of gun safety: Never point the gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy.
7. Rule three: Keep your finger off the trigger until ready to fire.
8. Rule the fourth: Be sure of your target and what is behind it.

Rhodium $14,850.00

Gold and Silver are holding steady…ridiculously so in fact. I read speculation that they’re going to bust out and surge. Why shouldn’t they? Inflation is galloping, the economy is headed for trouble once (some of) the companies out there actually stick to the jab mandate.

Platinum and palladium have taken decent jumps. Rhodium is up $800. That’s not too shabby either.

Personally? I’m liable to end up unemployed. I should buy a “I can’t afford to fix or replace this because of J** B*d*n” bumper sticker for my rear-ended car.

Part XXI: Nuclear Physics Uses The Hammer

Introduction

Last time I said that this time I’d take up stars. But I did some preliminary research on the history, and realized that we’re not quite there from a historical standpoint as our narrative is basically in the 1930s (except when I run ahead to finish something that started in the 1930s, like I did with neutrinos).

So I’m going to pick up the story of neutrons. Discovered in 1932 by James Chadwick, they turn out to be the “other” nucleon in the nucleus, supplementing protons. Similar in mass but with no electric charge, they were the actual occupants of the place in the nucleus that we had imagined held proton-electron pairs.

Because a neutron bears no electric charge, it has no trouble getting close to a nucleus and sticking to it, whereas a proton is repelled by any nucleus it approaches. If it can get close enough it will stick…but first it has to get close enough, and that’s a challenge. The same is true of alpha particles (which are bundles of two protons and two neutrons).

The “sticking” is provided by the strong nuclear force.

It’s as if you had two magnets, and were trying to bring the north poles close together. They push each other apart pretty hard, but if the magnets were covered with velcro, they’d stick together…once you overcame that repulsion.

Free neutrons are basically a new form of radiation, by the way; we have alpha and beta radiation (that bundle of four nucleons, and an electron, respectively), gamma radiation (a very high energy photon, X-rays on steroids), and now, we have free neutrons.

Free neutrons are scary. They’ll simply wander around until they find a nucleus to stick to…and they will more than likely make that nucleus radioactive. I don’t mind being around alpha and beta sources (so long as they’re not inside of me); they’re trivial to shield against. Gamma rays are intimidating because they penetrate very thick shielding. All three of these, if they get to you, will blast some chemical bond to smithereens which can either mean nothing or cause big problems, depending on what it was they hit. They won’t make you radioactive. But the neutrons just sort of wander aimlessly through matter, unaffected by very much until they find a nucleus–and nuclei don’t take up much space, in fact they take up virtually none of it. Whatever nucleus they hit becomes a new (and likely radioactive) isotope.

That nucleus, with the extra neutron, may find itself with “too many” neutrons, and one of the neutrons will then change into a proton, via the weak force. This has the effect of making that atom a different element, the one next over to the right on your handy-dandy periodic table. That increases the atomic number, Z, by 1, while leaving the mass number (the total number of protons and neutrons) the same.

OK, that’s the end of the review. Now on with the story, which is complicated. I apologize in advance if this is completely un-followable. And if I somehow managed to garble it in trying to simplify it, I apologize for that as well. [Most of this is from the Wikipedia article on Lise Meitner, and the article on the discovery of fission.]

Transmutation

Nuclear physicists had all kinds of fun playing with neutrons through the 1930s (and beyond). Enrico Fermi, in Rome, made a hobby of bombarding different elements with neutrons to see what would happen; first creating a more neutron rich isotope of the starting element, then monitoring the beta decay, determining half lives and energies, which are different for each isotope. Sometimes there’d be multiple decays, because one wasn’t enough to get to a stable isotope.

Remember, each such beta decay moves you one to the right, to the next higher atomic number. This led to an irresistibly tantalizing question.

What happens if you pick the element with the highest atomic number, uranium with Z=92, and bombard it with neutrons?

Shouldn’t you get element 93, previously utterly unknown, in fact, previously nonexistent?

Fermi tried it. And he got a whole bunch of different kinds of beta radiation out of it. He concluded that he had created a “transuranic” element. Not so fast though. Aristid von Grosse suggested that what Fermi had found was a new isotope of protactinium (element 91, not 93). This “wait a minute” wasn’t enough to prevent Fermi’s winning the 1938 Nobel Prize for Physics for this work, not just with uranium but the other elements as well.

But there was enough controversy that someone needed to dig in and figure out if we were looking at element 93 or protactinium.

And who better to do that than Lise Meitner and Otto Hahn, the discoverers of protactinium? Their collaboration at Kaiser Wilhelm institute in Berlin had lapsed, but this question got the two of them back together. From 1934-1938 the two of them, along with Otto Frisch, dug into the matter.

Initially, Meitner and Hahn believed they had created elements 93, 94, 95 and even 96. But as time went on Meitner became less certain.

Part of the muddle came from the fact that it was wrongly believed that only the lanthanide elements had that special row at the bottom of the table, pulled out from the main body so it would fit nicely on a landscape piece of paper. Actinium was placed two spots below yttrium, thorium below hafnium, protactinium below tantalum and uranium below tungsten (or as the Germans called it, “wolfram”). Indeed the chemical behavior of these elements could be a bit confusing, but it would eventually turn out that that stopped with element 93, which behaved more like a lanthanide. That whole sequence of elements in fact belonged in a second footnote row below the lanthanides.

For example, Fermi had found a rhenium-like element in his experiments and, in the belief that element 93 was directly below rhenium in the periodic table, concluded that that is what he had found. (In fact, he had found technetium, the then-undiscovered element above rhenium in the table, and didn’t realize it–but I’m getting ahead of myself here.)

This mistaken belief, at the time, bunged up any attempt to chemically analyze the products of the neutron bombardment. When element 93 is expected to behave like rhenium, for instance, rather than like a rare earth, it’s kind of difficult to figure out what’s going on.

One thing Meitner and Hahn wer fairly confident of: when they bombarded uranium, which was mostly uranium-238 (92 protons and 146 neutrons), they were indeed getting, as step one, uranium-239, with a 23 minute half life. They were able to do chemistry on it and prove that it was, indeed uranium.

After that it was a muddle. There seemed to be three different reactions, all from uranium-239, one with a ten second half life, one with a twenty second half life, and one with a 23 minute half life.

In 1937 Meitner and Hahn each published a report. Hahn was emphatic that they had found transuranic elements (“Above all, their chemical distinction from all previously known elements needs no further discussion”); Meitner was pretty certain almost everything was a product of uranium-238, somehow, but figured the three most prominent products were isomers.

Er, what’s an isomer?

As if it isn’t difficult enough to recall that elements come in isotopes, with the same number of protons but different number of neutrons, it turns out that some of the isotopes themselves come in different forms, some more energetic than others, and that the more energetic form eventually just blasts out pure energy (a gamma ray photon) and settles down to become the less energetic, and (usually) more stable form, having kept all of its protons and neutrons intact (but, likely, having dropped mass a bit). An isotope like this gets an “m” after the number.

For example, consider protactinium-234m, which has a 1.17 minute half life, and ejects a photon as it settles down to become protactinium-234, with a half life of 6.70 hours. When Pa-234m was discovered in 1913, we weren’t clear on the concept of isotopes, so it was considered a new element and named brevium for its brief half life.

When “regular” Pa-234 was discovered in 1921, that marked the discovery of nuclear isomers; it was the first such distinction between an “m” isotope and a “regular” isotope. And, interestingly, the discoverer was Otto Hahn, who later on in 1937 found his colleague using the concept to argue against his interpretation of the U-239 decay products!

[Side note: Probably the most useful isomer today is technetium-99m. It’s a decay product of molybdenum-99, which has about a 30 hour half life. Mo-99 is sent to hospitals, which extract the Tc-99m chemically, embed it in larger molecules, perhaps favored by muscles, then inject that into patients and watch where the gamma rays come from. This can be used to diagnose heart problems, though it does mean the patient is a source of gamma rays for a while. Tc-99m has a six hour half life, after which it blasts out a fairly weak gamma ray and settles down to Tc-99, which has a much longer half life (hundreds of thousands of years) and will ultimately beta decay and become ruthenium-99. The patient generally gets rid of the technetium-99 within days, so no digging up bodies to try to get the ruthenium, please.]

Meitner concluded her report with the following:  “The process must be neutron capture by uranium-238, which leads to three isomeric nuclei of uranium-239. This result is very difficult to reconcile with current concepts of the nucleus.”

Another group in Paris decided to investigate as well. They ultimately found a product that was chemically very similar to lanthanum (element 57). (It turned out it couldn’t be more similar, as it was lanthanum, but I get ahead of myself again.)

Did I just almost forget to mention Meitner was Jewish?

What does that matter? Normally it wouldn’t matter in the slightest, but in mid 1930s Berlin, it mattered a great deal. And it was mattering more and more as time passed.

Meitner Has To Flee

Meitner had been kept safe, somewhat, by the fact that she was an Austrian, but on March 12, 1938, Austria was annexed by Germany. Her Austrian citizenship was moot as there was no Austria to be a citizen of. Niels Bohr and Paul Scherrer invited her to take positions in Denmark and Switzerland, respectively, but Carl Bosch at KWI said she could remain. By May, though, Meitner learned that her situation was being looked at by the no-doubt misnamed Reich Ministry of Science, Education and Culture.

Although many people outside of Germany wanted to give her refuge, there were all sorts of bureaucratic snafus. For instance, she couldn’t go to Denmark no matter how much Niels Bohr wanted her there, because Denmark considered Austrian passports to be invalid. Germany also forbade academics to leave the country.

By July the situation was critical. Dirk Coster, a Dutch scientist, convinced the Netherlands to accept Meitner, and on July 12, she showed up for work at KWI as usual, staying late to mark up an associate’s paper for publication. The next day she and Coster took a train on a lightly used rail line to the Dutch border. Otto Hahn had given her his mother’s ring and “Frau Professor” was apparently thought to be the wife of the Dutch professor, so the German border guards didn’t stop her. She got out, with ten marks and her summer clothes, and the ring she could sell for money if needed. (The story is much more complex, and given in the Wikipedia article on Meitner.)

Once Meitner was safely out of Nazi Germany, work continued long-distance. Hahn and Strassman at KWI decided to try to replicate the Paris group’s results, and found what they thought was radium (element 88).

Figuring that the neutron hitting uranium-238 was creating uranium-239, which then gave up two alpha particles to become radium-231, they dug a little more carefully, and decided to extract the radium from the sample.

Radium lies directly under barium (element 56) on the periodic table (it was properly understood back then, unlike uranium), and the two elements have an affinity with each other. If there was any radium in the products, barium could be used to draw it out, then it could be separated from the barium without interference from all the other “stuff” in the sample.

Indeed, the barium came out radioactive, indicating that there was radium in it. So it looked like they had found their radium, and the two alpha decays.

But then they couldn’t separate the radium from the barium.

The extraction process used was tested by putting known samples of radium into the barium, and they were separated out without any trouble.

The Light Dawns

Finally they were forced to conclude that the reason they couldn’t find any radium in the barium, is that it was barium.

A radioactive isotope of element 56 was coming out of uranium-239.

Meitner and Frisch finally realized that what was happening. They had gotten together for Christmas in 1838, and were out cross-country skiing having a rather atypical conversation.

What if, they thought, the uranium nucleus were simply splitting? The prevailing model of the nucleus was called the “liquid drop” model, treating it as similar to a drop of liquid; if it were under enough tension that it wanted to break up, a neutron could add just enough “oomph” to happen, just like a very large drop of water wants to split into smaller drops. (Incidentally the liquid drop model, though not the most advanced model, is still good enough to be of some use today.)

However the two pieces would find themselves outside the range of the strong nuclear force, and repel each other quite forcefully. About 200 million electron volts–about a fifth the mass/energy of a proton–would be released as the two pieces flew apart. Where would it come from?

Meitner was able to figure out that the two pieces’ binding energy was high enough compared to the uranium’s binding energy that the 200 MeV would be supplied by that.

It fit.

Nuclear fission was real.

Uranium could be induced to split and release a lot of energy. The lanthanum, technetium and barium were real. It just depended on exactly how the split happened, which particular smaller elements you’d get.

When Frisch told Niels Bohr of this, Bohr literally smacked his own forehead and exclaimed, “What idiots we have been!”

Fermi was also embarrassed; that part of his work bombarding things with neutrons that had to do with uranium turned out to be misinterpreted, and the 1938 Nobel prize he had just been told he would receive was in part awarded for his transuranium “discoveries.” Just in time though; he added a footnote to his acceptance speech to explain what they had just figured out.

In the fullness of time, it developed that those 10 and 20 second reactions Meitner, Hahn and Frisch were seeing were fission products. But the 23 minute reaction really was a decay into element 93, isotope 239.

And it was the small amount of uranium-235 that was fissioning, not the uranium-238.

And we now had a new form of radioactive decay: fission, spontaneous fission. Uranium 236’s most common decay mode is this.

The Bomb

The rest of the story is much more famous, though at the time it was shrouded in secrecy. The US government, alerted by none other than Albert Einstein’s letter to FDR concerning the potential of such massive releases of energy, created the Manhattan Project to build a nuclear bomb.

Much of this early research had been done in Nazi Germany. What if they, too, were working on The Bomb?

It turns out that when uranium-235 is hit by a fairly slow moving neutron, it becomes, for just an instant, uranium-236, which is what fissions into two large pieces. But there are also two or three bare neutrons released; if they can be slowed down and then induced to hit more uranium-235, you can have a chain reaction, each step doubling or even tripling the energy release as more and more uranium-235 catches neutrons and releases yet more neutrons.

However, you need a fairly substantial amount of U-235 for this to work. If it’s a small lump of the stuff, the freed neutrons will probably exit the sample before they find a nucleus to hit. There’s a critical mass that must be brought together for the chain reaction to take off.

The bigger difficulty, of course was that uranium-235 is only a small fraction, less than one percent, of uranium.

So one of the two approaches taken was to try to extract “enriched” uranium-235 from uranium by reacting the uranium with fluorine to create uranium hexafluoride gas, which could then be centrifuged to separate out the slightly lighter U-235. This work was done at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Once you have the enriched uranium-235, it’s dead easy to make a bomb. Bring two small masses together, enough to make a critical mass, make sure there’s a neutron source nearby, and, KABOOM!!

The other approach involved those transuranics. Uranium-239 was beta decaying into neptunium-239; neptunium 239 was in turn beta decaying into plutonium-239. The two new elements were named to continue the series. Uranium had been named after the planet uranus; the next two elements were named after neptune and pluto (then believed to be a planet).

And it turns out that plutonium-239 is easy to produce; just bombard regular uranium with neutrons–and it too will fission when struck by a neutron. The trick is to get enough of it together close enough that the excess neutrons will find another plutonium-239 atom before exiting the mass. As it happens, Pu-239 must be compressed for it to work. And getting that to happen precisely right was a challenge.

It’s a good thing that the easy-to-make bomb requires the hard-to-make material, and the easy to make material is hard to make a bomb out of.

But we did both.

The U-235 bomb was deemed so simple it wouldn’t need a test. Thus it was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945 (Germany had surrendered in May of that year, after millions had given their lives to put the mad dictator Hitler down). It worked beautifully, releasing energy equivalent to about 20 thousand tons of TNT, all at once.

The Pu-239 bomb, however, was the first nuclear detonation. It was tested at Trinity site in New Mexico on July 16th, then a second example was dropped on Nagasaki on August 9th.

The bombs killed tens of thousands of people, but likely saved at least ten times as many lives. Had the United States needed to invade the Japanese home islands, there likely would have been two million casualties.

The neutron had gone from being an abstract thing cared about only by some physicists trying to figure out what keeps atoms together…to something as impossible to ignore as a slap across the face.

And this wasn’t even the end of that road.
