Back In My Day: Civilized War – 1997-1998 Continued

The last time I discussed my new job, thinking Hebrew, involvement in Promise Keepers and a day on the Mall in DC with Stand in the Gap. However, I need to go back a bit into that year and tell the parallel story before moving this series significantly forward.

Career Movement

My cup not only ran over in spiritual matters, it ran over in my occupation. After the equipment company fiasco I had retreated to a home office. I returned to my first love as a small business banker, originating and underwriting loan requests in my region. I was the first officer hired in the expansion of my new banking employer, which was a financial company owned by a bank holding company that owned a half dozen smaller rural banks. Those banks needed earning assets due to the lack of business activity in their areas. Our operation was able to provide them.

The global loan volume for small business loans that were guaranteed by the U. S. Small Business Administration and USDA guaranteed loan programs among other programs did not rise to the level of Wall Street investment houses being interested in the purchase of the guaranteed portions. However, numerous regional brokerage firms had institutional buyers interested in their purchase if packaged into larger pools, which would then be sold and securitized by Wall Street firms for sale into hedge funds, pension funds, insurance companies and so on. As more lenders entered our line of business through the years, industry profitability and influence began to increase due to the number of jobs created or saved with the business financing. The politicians began to take notice and support better as it gave them talking points in their districts.

In summary, what President Reagan and his administration envisioned in the 1980s with their modifications and boost of the industry worked. The ride was bumpy because it was a political football, but trending up as a whole for the industry.

As 1997 rolled around my book of business had grown greatly as professionals in the region learned what type of financing we could provide. That understanding led to many referrals of prospects from their clients. Add in that our company’s loan growth had increased with the addition of a couple more production officers similar to me in other regions of the state. The growth in volume began to concern ownership as we had become the largest volume lender of our type in the state, far surpassing the volumes of the big banks.

Concerned about the monster they created, ownership decided to hire a new senior credit officer (SCO) from the most conservative big bank in America at the time, Wachovia. SCO’s are charged with making sure the loans fit bank and regulator policies and requirements before they are approved and made. Executive management sets the parameters and criteria for approval. So, with the arrival of a new SCO from a highly conservative big bank, we knew we had major changes coming in the loan approval process. The CEO of our operation became concerned immediately as did I. We knew from our past experiences this was a signal of tighter credit and that the owners wanted to slow the loan volume down. Instead of increasing the deposit base to fund additional loan volume, they were choosing to throttle what they had authorized to be built, which was successful. The dog caught the car, became scared and did not know what to do with it.

Our cottage industry’s trade organization had a biannual conference coming up in the spring of that year. As things go for Goober Gump, they were holding the conference in our family’s favorite vacation spot of Hilton Head, SC. In addition to being the industry’s primary trainer, the conferences had become happy hunting grounds for recruiting new hires by employers throughout the country. with a large number of management recruiters on hand.

The holding company major owners had not consulted with us about their obvious plan to decrease the loan volume of our operation, which had already started, when they had other suitable alternatives available. We did not require huge growth in deposits since we sold the 75% guaranteed portion of the SBA loans. My ever growing referral sources and customers needed dependable funding sources as the economy was in high gear. My CEO received a cut of the profits from our company’s operations as his commission. He was a significant stockholder within the bank holding company, whose future profits would also be impacted by the decision that he was not consulted about despite being on the Board of Directors.

My CEO and I made a plan. It was time to go shopping for a new business home.

Boy, was it ever. Goober Gump and his CEO were in demand it seemed. Our steady rise to #1 in the state surpassing the big boys had not gone unnoticed in the industry.

Beach Bums

If you have ever been to the SC beaches in late April and early May, it is usually spectacular. The temps are about 75-80 degrees with loads of sunshine and the environment is gorgeous. Upon our arrival, wife and daughter hit the beach and pool while I was in meetings for a few days. In the evenings there was entertainment and great food with families invited into a pavilion area overlooking the ocean. A photo op waiting to happen. They did things right and good times were rolling with attendees. We became acquainted with many interesting people.

As we visited with each other the discussions would turn into informal job interviews. Part of our plan was to separate and do our own fishing expeditions, which worked well. By the time the conference neared its end both my CEO and I received six informal employment offers, three of which were from the same potential employers.

Landing this many informal offers meant we needed to review them before the end of the conference and rank the three we shared in order of preference. We wanted to stick together as my CEO wanted to stay in management and I wanted to stay in production, so we eliminated the choices that did not include a package deal. We both immediately settled for the same #1 choice and agreed on the #2 that would be the back-up. We scheduled a breakfast with our #1 choice for the last day of he conference.

Boom. It was over quickly. It all fit like a glove and had great upside. Their leader had made calls to his bank’s President/CEO the evening before our meeting and received approvals to proceed. We had met our future boss as well as his SCO, so we knew their loan parameters and criteria. They were both as excited to expand their operation into the eastern U. S. as we were.

Transition

As I look back, it was the single most important and correct career decision I ever made. The Lord had been clearly opening the doors every step.

The new bank employer, SierraWest, was headquartered in beautiful Truckee, CA with a large regional presence also in Reno, NV. The bank already had a large small business finance division in the west, however, they wanted to grow its branch presence and felt that the division could provide the profitability they needed to get that done. By adding an eastern U. S. region, they would also be more attractive for acquisition by a larger bank that may want a national commercial government guaranteed loan presence to springboard into new markets.

When one enters that industry, it is so specialized that you learn you are really employed by the industry, not by your bank employer. Employers in banking come and go. Their appetite for what you do comes and goes with it. However, once you are a proven performer, you will always have a good job and opportunity with active lenders in the industry. The stable of horses who can win is limited. Fortunately with her own banking background, Rock Star began to realize this as well. It was a change from her cradle to grave employment perceptions, but she got past it.

We knew our new employer would probably sell in a few years before we joined them. We also knew California banks were the absolute best in our industry at this line of business and that we would benefit from the experience. We had hitched our wagon to one of the few industry leader stars. He was highly respected, knowledgable, fun to be around, and overall good guy who gave you the tools and got out of your way. If you had a problem or needed assistance, just pick up the phone and call.

If we needed another home in a few years because the bank sold or the lending climate changed, he would take us with him if we did good work. Meanwhile we would build our own network over time and begin building the back office support staff to handle all aspects of credit and loan processing ourselves. That would make us even more valuable to potential employers.

Speed Bump

Not long after I had joined SierraWest and had closed a few transactions in 1998, a health issue stopped me. I was playing some driveway basketball with the neighbor kids and daughter, when I was accidentally tripped and fell awkwardly. A previously balky, problem knee from my younger days in sports was blown out. After a visit to an orthopedic surgeon who handled the athletes at the University of Tennessee, I learned my knee needed reconstruction for an ACL tear and severe meniscus damage. My new employer was gracious and gave me all the time I needed for the surgery and recovery.

While grinding it out in therapy, I spent a couple hours a day, a few days a week with this guy…

https://www.restaurantbusinessonline.com/leadership/bill-regas-mentor-host-standout-restaurant-executives-dies-age-92

He was an iconic fixture in the Knoxville area as a restauranteur, businessman and all around high quality person. I knew of nobody in the area who did not personally like the man as well as his restaurant. He had the quality of being a friend to the homeless man on the corner or the king in a royal court. He mentored many leaders in the industry. However, he was most known for being a very close, lifelong friend of Dave Thomas of Wendy’s. Bill and Dave knew each other and worked together as teenagers, when Bill took Dave under his wing. They remained close all of their lives until Dave passed. He was a frequent visitor to our area as well as in Bill’s home and restaurant.

The only time I had ever witnessed Bill express anger and frustration was toward his therapist who he claimed was killing him after a knee replacement. 😂 We had surgery about the same time and used the same orthopedic clinic and therapy center. We would laugh at each other while the torturers worked the other over. Our experiences would come up whenever I had a business luncheon or took Rock Star to his restaurant. We complained, however, we both acknowledged our therapists were outstanding.

Sold!

Things were going very well and I was able to get a number of higher profile projects and businesses financed locally to build our story. It was in the year 2000 when we were told to be on a conference call.

The expected had happened. The bank was being sold to the much larger Bank of the West out of Walnut Creek, CA, which was owned by the French international banking conglomerate of BNP Paribas. Which incidentally just completed the sale of the same Bank of the West to Canadian banking conglomerate, BMO Financial in January of this year. Will leave BNP Paribas for another day, but let’s just say they don’t mind cheating, violating sanctions and thieving; or paying the resulting huge fines and penalties for having done so when caught. So the net they keep must be off the charts to justify their criminal activities.

My first thoughts were, this will not work. We learned that Bank of the West (BOW) only had three SBA business loans in their entire $10+ billion loan portfolio. By comparison our division closed more loan transactions than that every week. Add in that our average loan size was $650 K while theirs was $3 M. A major loan culture clash was incoming.

It was obvious they wanted our bank to expand their branch banking presence in the west and to put lipstick on the pig relating to small business finance in local communities to assuage regulators. We also learned that our bank’s President/CEO was going be named the head of our small business lending division for BOW with our current boss being given a one year parting gift after he finished transitioning our unit. That was not going to work well either. The President/CEO knew very little about our line of business and our boss was a leader in the industry that was loyal and helpful to his troops. Besides, our boss had moved past being just a manager. He and his wife, who also worked for the bank, had become our friends. The trust factor had been addressed over several years.

Over the next several months we went along with it. Then I noticed an interesting, red flag thing. My regional manager tried to spin it that it would be great being at BOW. I suspected it was primarily because he was receiving a bigger salary while being able to keep roaming around having fun with little responsibility.

Meanwhile, the other production officers were as apprehensive as I was. They all had been contacting me for years as I had been named a senior officer to mentor and answer their questions. I had enough at that point, our pipelines were dying with the changes. After talking it over with Rock Star I informed our manager he had 90 days to find us a new home or I would have to make other arrangements. I wanted to continue doing what I did in a better lending environment. Our relationship had changed over the years from friendship and being co-workers doing what we did well to more of him being a distant supervisor I rarely saw anyway.

About two months into it, the manager called and said he was having no luck in finding a good fit. I doubt he had even tried as I kept getting recruiter calls from prospective employers weekly. He asked that we give it more time, that he expected it would get better as they had announced plans in meetings. I smelled a rat, that he had been given a sweet salary deal to stay, which was confirmed later. About the same time I had the largest deal of my small business career tanked by BOW credit officers through their refusal to use local, more qualified appraisers on a hotel property financing project. It was an intentional, sneaky way of declining a credit worthy loan that had already been approved by our lending partner in the deal, the USDA. It was the final straw. I began talking with recruiters.

A week later our outgoing division boss called me. Previously he had asked that if he landed a good spot, would I be interested in joining him. I told him I would. This time he asked if he could come by and see me after he returned from vacation with his family to DisneyWorld as he was winding down his transition duties at SierraWest/BOW. I asked when, to mark my calendar. Then I nearly fell out of my chair. We were going to be in DisneyWorld that exact same week!

Like I’ve said many times before, stuff just happens with Goober Gump.

We made plans to meet a day after arrival for dinner with the families. He and I met a couple more times while the families hit the parks. He had accepted the CEO role of the existing small business finance division of Imperial Bank in Inglewood, CA. It was a $5 B in assets, NYSE listed business bank. The division was one of three primary lines of business in the bank. There would be no issues with commitment to what we did or with funding it because it was the second most profitable line of business in the bank that they wanted to increase and emphasize even more. Several of the more productive division employees at the former SierraWest were coming to join him at Imperial.

He wanted me to join them under one condition, that I would be his eastern U. S. Regional Manager who would develop a production, underwriting and processing operation for our part of the country east of the Mississippi River. He was not interested in hiring my manager at all. He then enlightened me on the problems he had with the guy, that he had been placed on a quiet probation recently and that BOW had indeed inked him to a contract that our former SierraWest President/CEO had executed. Seems some palace intrigue had developed behind the scenes. What that former President/CEO thought about my manager proved how out of touch he was.

I was still grateful my soon to be former manager had provided an opportunity when we were going through difficult times as a family. We parted on amicable terms and would visit with each other at conferences. However, I no longer trusted him. It was not long before BOW pulled the plug on his region and job. He has bounced through multiple employers around the country through the ensuing years as a sales manager, which simply reinforced my decision was correct.

The Imperial opportunity meant I could remain in production for as long as I had time for both producing loans and leading the eastern U. S. development. Over time as the region’s volume grew I would exit production and hand off my referral sources to a hand picked successor. I was to be hired as an executive officer of the bank with signing authority to purchase assets needed to open and maintain offices, approve division expense reports, etc. The #2a to go with the SCO in his different function as #2b in the division

Needless to say, he had successfully drug me back into management. It was a no-brainer. This time I was paying attention to what doors the Lord opened instead of doing my own thing.

Our new CEO of Imperial’s division had mentored me into a more advanced delivery system in our industry. I had no idea at the time that I had mentored him into the faith. Over the years at SierraWest and the following years he had invited me to stay in their home when I came out for meetings instead of the usual hotel stays. In doing so we were able to get to know more about each other; our interests, families and career plans. One morning over breakfast in their home before I left to return to TN, they asked me about the book I was reading. They knew I loved the Lord and was a church goer in the Bible Belt. I told them it was a devotional book I read and prayed over every morning. I gave them my witness and asked if they had ever considered placing their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as they never talked about church or anything related. They acknowledged that they went to church some when they were kids, but never really followed up on it as adults. We talked for awhile and I left them my Bible as a gift before he drove me to the airport.

A couple of years later they were happy to tell me that they had accepted Jesus as their Savior and joined a local UMC congregation where they lived in California. They both had gone through divorces previously as had Rock Star and I. They had recently learned she was pregnant, just as we experienced. Something clicked in that they were shown that forgiveness and eternal life are available at the Cross for all who have sinned, troubled or are questioning the meaning of life. They reminded me of how much I meant to them years later as I also reminded them how much his employment and mentoring meant to me and my family. I realized the primary reasons God had placed us in each other’s lives. You just never know… unless your eyes have been opened.

Conclusion

Stick with me as I continue to set the stage for what is to come as it builds. Hopefully you are getting an operational view from inside banking and small business finance as well as how the Lord pays attention to even the smallest details of His children’s lives. He closes and opens doors all of the time if we are paying attention. As always I invite you to…

Jump in, the water’s fine. Ask Asbury University…

There is a hunger in all of us that can only be satisfied one way. Nothing else will do it.

Back In My Day: Battleground Arkansas Conclusion – Votes, Beans, and Civil War?

Let’s start with our dear friend’s post in a recent daily:

Democrats know more than a dozen ways to commit election fraud – they are good at it and have lots of practice. They have cheated since the days of Huey P Long, Gene Talmadge, and the Chicago Mob Bosses.

Here are some of their methods:
• dead people on rolls still vote
• fictitious people on rolls
• people bussed across counties and states to vote illegally
• ballots harvested from nursing homes, rehab/inpatient facilities
• manufactured, pre-printed, fake ballots delivered in the dark of the night in unmarked trucks
• illegal aliens/non-citizens voting
• No voter ID required
• manipulated/hacked machines
• ballots selectively discarded
• multiple ballots mailed to phantom addresses
• people registered to vote in multiple locations receive multiple mail-in ballots, enabling them to vote multiple times
• ballots scanned through machines multiple times
• polling places run out of paper/ballots, etc.
• ballots don’t fit machines, won’t scan/read properly

Southerners have always known that Democrat ballots didn’t really mean real live Democrat voters.

The fraud we have seen in 2020 and 2022 is the modern evolution of the old pull the boxes of pre-filled ballots from the trunk of a car practiced all over the South since the great depression or earlier.

We’ve got to True the Vote – or we don’t have a free country – we have tyranny.

Southern Voting

Historically, southerners know all about vote cheating. It was perfected in the south. What many readers should realize is that it was the southern Democrats with the help of their northern co-conspirators who did it. The methods GA/FL list above plus some others are used throughout the country now, just emphasized in blue and swing states more heavily due to the now institutionalized corruption with foreign assistance.

An analogy of what is happening with electioneering would be the approach to enforcing the rules in the sport of football. At one time offensive linemen were penalized for holding defenders with their hands and arms. Over time it became apparent that on most every play there were multiple offenders. Calling all the penalties would result in 10 hour games and make them unplayable and unwatchable. As a result leadership in the pros, colleges, high schools, etc. approved modification of the rules to allow forms of it, while other forms would still be penalized. Yep, they kept doing the stuff that would be penalized multiple times on every play. The leadership then added an official in the backfield of the offense so that they had two officials to watch the line play and make the calls. This equated to sending FIB and DODGE to protect the elections, there was never going to be an honest attempt to enforce the laws. So, adding the extra official just added payroll with no benefit. It was lipstick on a stinky pig.

Today, the officials have become so callous to what they see that they rarely call them. They only call penalties on infractions if they are just ridiculously obvious and/or in the open view of the entire world, or, as some suggest, if they desire to influence the outcome of games. The later of which implies corruption, of course. Like maybe the stuff below.

Nah, nothing to see here with Tom Brady at QB. No penalty was called by the officials in front, behind and to the side of the ball in the above photo.

Institutionalized, illegal, unpenalized, influence on final outcomes by the enforcers of the rules.

Sound familiar?

Wouldn’t it have been better to swallow big and make all the penalty calls for a season or two until the offenders stopped offending and started playing by the rules? Make it tougher while coaches learned to use players who play by the rules.

Which is all we are asking to happen in our elections, which are infinitely more important than football games. Behavioral modification methods like doing your job as an enforcer and playing the game by enforcing the laws. Round up the offenders, charge then, convict them, and have them cool their jets in prison for awhile. Problem solved.

Formerly the southern region of America was known as “The Solid South” on Election Day to the benefit of Democrats. But then the Howard Deans of the world burst on the scene and the Dems made a hard turn left without a signal. The populist, southern Democrat was rooted out of the party. The now disenfranchised southerner began adopting the GOP as the more conservative in social issues and better at economics and taxes. The GOP attempted to portray itself as moving away from its rich man’s club image to being inclusive of all people. The shift had begun. Existing and wannabe politicians began shifting to the GOP at the local level and up.

Over time we have clearly learned why the left went lefter. Globalism. Well, actually it is the godless corporate communist model of panda. Southerners in general have faith in God and Christ and that just would not do for them.

Even with the manufactured split off of the southern Democrat voters, the Dem electioneering apparatus remained in place in the south. People have to have jobs you know, even it does mean sacrificing your friends and family for Satanic influences. For them it was a matter of fueling the economic and population growth of blue disciples into the urban areas of the south and key swing states while continuing to promote the ongoing national cultural dishevel. Anything to create disunity among people works for them using the long view of their globalist backers. They also know they can influence younger people through indoctrination in public schools and promotion of social media. The further the young people are removed from real community, faith and traditional family; the more likely they are to vote for Democrats.

All of it was happening while the Establishment GOP looked on and did nothing to counter as long as they got their share. If The Solid South did not move fully to them, why should they even care? The Establishment GOP believes their jobs are about perception, to influence people to think they represent different values than the left. Losers at everything but tax cuts, which benefit them and their cronies the most, they obstruct occasionally to give the appearance of serving their supporters. I do not have to state the names of the Establishment and RINO GOP from the Senate and House here, every reader of this story can recite them by memory.

In all deference to Sundance, the two political parties may have separate corporate entities, but they are not separate entities in practice. They do not really fight against each other as many would lead you to believe. They stage it. It’s a show, a movie that has already been produced (right, Q?). For many reasons, January 6 would not have happened had that not been the case, which includes the stolen elections in which the GOP Establishment participated. The large majority of participants are all in the same Big Club by choice. Unless blackmailed or extorted they do not have to be, they choose it for personal gain and power. Most could return to the private sector and be left alone by simply keeping their mouths shut. But they don’t.

How do you think many arrive with minimal financial net worth and leave mega wealthy? That’s why there is an endless supply of them willing to take the abuse and run for office. Life, liberty and the pursuit of power and money.

My personal experiences and observations going back around 50 years has been provided in this series as my evidence. An election system is in place that is being allowed to become dysfunctional and manipulated subject to corruption and fraud. The evidence and proof is there for all to see. Both parties have been in power throughout the many decades of the existence of voter fraud with nothing materially done to change the system of doing it.

Uniparty.

Along the way populist patriots have risen up. In recent times the Tea Party, then MAGA and PDT. A large segment of society began experiencing an awakening to the real world around them. They saw it was not a pretty scene and definitely not what it was portrayed to be for a very long time. In fact, it was seen as disgusting and unAmerican. Many wanted things fixed, a return to the values of their forefathers and God’s ways. Some non-participants in the movements stuck their heads in the sand. The largest segment of sheeple bleated their approval of the powers that be from either party as long as a stimulus check was given, there was free to cheap healthcare and they could access social media. But the Establishment GOP and Democrats have been united. They want the patriot movements destroyed to never rise again. Don’t take my word for it, listen to them and watch their actions. They openly say it and act on it.

Goober Plays the Game

It was 1983 and I had finished a round of golf at the local club. While chatting with friends, a well known Democrat Party frumpy female operative made her way over to talk with me. She immediately started a conversation about why I had openly supported the local GOP candidate who had lost a surprisingly close race for HR in our district the previous year against the long term incumbent Dem rep, Bill Alexander. She knew I was active in local community organizations and on the Board of my employer’s employee led PAC.

I responded directly that the GOP opponent in the race was a future local circuit court judge and friend who I knew would look after the best interests of the people in NE Arkansas first and foremost. I added that I felt it was time for a move away from Teddy Kennedy and John Kerry type politics in Arkansas. Alexander was in the back pocket of both. She seemed somewhat taken aback by my response, probably because of how tight she was with my ex’s family. She then asked me why I was not registered to vote in that county.

I played her game. She obviously had been checking me out and was correct. I replied I had not yet registered in Arkansas after having been a resident of three states in my more recent past. She asked where I was registered, but a friend walked over about then and rescued me. Which was good, because I was about to tell her to shove it. I was able to move on without responding.

What she had not yet figured out is I had never registered to vote in my life up to that point. Besides being young and not all that interested in politics, I saw very little of value to support. Voting seemed to make no difference in the average person’s life. You could tell no difference in the results of either party. The economy was awful, Iran had just made us look like chumps, Vietnam and Watergate still rolled through my mind. My participation on the PAC Board was at my employer’s request. They chose me for the role, I never asked or wanted it, even if it ended up being a lot of fun causing the GOP Establishment and Democrats some trouble.

As I looked around me that is all I saw, the haves and have nots. The agriculture industry wanted low wage labor. It was amusing to watch $3-5 per hour labor driving then $70 K cotton pickers and combines on all the farms. Then the farm owners would wonder why they would be wrecked or always down for repairs at harvest time. The wealthier farmland owners openly worked against manufacturing and distribution employers locating there. In their minds the wages and benefits would be pushed higher and reduce their pool of cheap labor. The Dem politicians wanted lower income, lesser educated residents in large numbers for the votes they would get by sponsoring and voting in DC for entitlement programs. If there were more jobs and the local wage base went up, more people would work and thrive, coming out of poverty. They would identify less with them and more with the GOP. It was a system that led to the area having 35-40% of its residents living below the poverty line year after year, decade after decade, cradle to grave in awful living conditions. That was happening despite having a SAC Air Force base with a B-52 squadron in a nearby town along with all of the related personnel and support businesses there. The Democrats needed that to stay to keep lower paid military people who could rarely afford to spend money in the local economy that were totally dependent on the federal government. But hey, they got their votes.

It had existed that way for decades despite having direct access to I-55, being less than an hour from I-40 in the Memphis area that crosses the entire USA from shore to shore, the Mississippi River and ports within 30 minutes, halfway between Chitcago and New Orleans at the Gulf, with ample developmental land and utility infrastructure, and a low cost workforce available with ample ability to add low cost housing.

Intentionally restricted. It was disgusting. Fellow American citizens who were relegated to lives of poverty, who really did not know any better. I hated it, so I did what little I could against the people causing it. What a waste of potential human capital for their own families and lives as well as our nation. I am very sure the evil enslavement did not escape God’s attention.

The community itself was well on its way to dying. In 1991, Clinton authorized the closing of bases around the country and the local SAC base was on that list. The globalists decided it was time to use the tax revenues and deficit spending in other ways since the Iron Curtain had fallen. With its closing and without manufacturing and distribution to carry the day, the community began the painful process of dying slowly with population declining from 24 K when I lived there to 13 K today. Used and abused by the politicians that claimed to support them. The wealthy farmland owners picked up more cheap labor from the closed businesses that supported the air base. The Democrats got to keep the remaining votes of the people who existed on those government checks.

The last person out of there, please turn out the lights.

But Wait, There’s MOAR!

About a year later in 1984 it became time to leave a loveless, fraud of a marriage along with my ex’s family and their cronies’ duplicity and corruption for good. I filed for divorce, shocking quite a few in the community and made the physical move to east TN later that summer. I was fortunate to have the support of many friends who fully understood and assisted me in various ways including three younger men my age that shored me up as a human being and Christian. There will be more on that in a future story.

I went to the east TN DMV to have my driver’s license changed, obtain a new car tag and register to vote for the very first time. My new job offered upside in my chosen career of business banking and a fresh start in an area of the country I loved with extended family and roots. Having been thrashed by Satan a bit, I also finally understood the value of actually voting, even if it was just in protest of the world around me.

Soon after that I learned from my Arkansas divorce attorney in a follow-up that I was registered to vote there. He was on the local election commission and casually asked me if I had registered yet in TN. I told him that it was not possible for me to be registered in AR, that I had never registered anywhere before my move to TN. Then it hit me – the Dem operative. I asked him to also check with the county of my last residence in Missouri when he had the opportunity. A few weeks later he called to say the same thing happened there. Had we continued the process I am sure we would have found I had supposedly registered in Ohio where I grew up. Well, wasn’t I special, having the right to vote in three different states! I asked him to have my name removed in the other places.

My ex’s family handled all of our federal tax filings through the years of our marriage. They had my social security number and all other personal information. It appeared the Dem operative got the information from my ex’s family and had managed to register me to vote in both counties in the two states. The county officials in that part of the country at that time were deeply Democrat and corrupt. I did not have the presence of mind back then to ask my attorney about how long I had been registered or if they showed I voted in each location. My ex’s family skirted many a law in those days, so none of it surprised me. One way was with a vote fraud conviction years before I met my ex that I was unaware of before marriage. More on that at a later date.

It Takes Time – The Long View

Many southern voters began moving toward the GOP about the time I arrived in TN. Over the ensuing 35+ years the Democratic party began to fade from power in TN except in the two major urban areas of Memphis and Nashville. It has evolved to the point that the state legislature and governor’s office have been overwhelming controlled by the GOP for over a dozen years, whereas Arkansas flipped to total GOP control a half dozen years ago. With the political changes came great prosperity and population growth while becoming even more traditional and conservative as a culture in much of the state.

The GOP in TN is more conservative than in Arkansas. For too long the people in TN watched the incompetency, nasty actions and scandals of politicians that did not reflect their values. Changes were made at the grassroots that resulted in the fruits of today. We’ve had more time to flush out the leftist control foisted up on us by other regions of America. Most Establishment types decided they better lean right harder when put under the microscope that we keep them under now. As an example former Gov. Bill Haslam, a Bush backer, has no shot to be elected for anything currently. He refused to move right, we refused to open the door. But as I stated in a previous part, former Senator Bob Corker is a family friend, so no Haslam will move right toward MAGA and Trump. As a result the Bush and Haslam friend in the primary for governor in 2018, Randy Boyd, did not win despite being a qualified candidate. It was a Christian business and family man with no political experience or entanglements and a soft, plain speaking demeanor who won, Bill Lee. Who also just landslided into a second term. It took patience while he learned on the job, but it has been well worth it to rid ourselves of cronyism. It is 8/9 GOP HR and both Senators for TN. Only the Memphis area’s Dem Rep. Cohen, and he is really dim, is still in office.

The need to root out RINOs and lean on Establishment in Arkansas is greater. The landslide election of Sarah Huckabee Sanders should assist this process. As I laid it out previously, in the past Arkansas only had one GOP HR and no GOP Senators with just a once-in-a-long-while GOP governor. With GOP Gov. Mike Huckabee’s arrival in the governor’s mansion combined with the the Clinton’s grifting, corruption and sexploits in the White House; that began to significantly change as the average Arkansan was upset and embarrassed. Today, Arkansas is totally controlled by the GOP from Little Rock to DC elected officials. For every delusional RINO like Asa, a dinosaur from the Arkansas mafia days, there are two or more rising MAGA politicians. The DC representation in the HR and Senate is 100% GOP in AR. They have to lean harder on their GOP Establishment types like Cotton, but they now have the power to do so.

I hope my friends and readers will pay attention to what I now say because it is what PDT along with many other MAGA supporting politicians and leaders are attempting to accomplish in the public arena. He has been openly stating it in his rallies. We need GOP Establishment and populists to join our ranks. It is why he will endorse a Rubio or Oz. Yes, they need to be re-indoctrinated into the guiding principles of our founding documents and America First. They need us and we need them. It will be a longer slog with an uncertain outcome if we do not embrace those who have gone astray, yet, are redeemable. The only things that cannot be sacrificed are our MAGA principles. They need to adapt to our ways now. Which means there needs to be watchers (operatives) employed among them and the sheeple, just as the Democrats have done since The Civil War. They learned that you have community observers and influencers. This was used and took a more ominous turn in countries ruled by fascism and communists. Democrats were given more modern methods as they aligned themselves with panda. Yet, there is nothing wrong with having influencers and observers within the public if they follow the law. It just makes good sense to know who is with and against you along with their positions on the issues.

We know we need to open our doors to some who have been less than politically ethical or pure. It is the right thing to do because that is exactly what God did for us with our eternal souls through the unearned and undeserved gift of sacrifice and love of our Savior. It is also what our founding fathers and patriots have done throughout the history of America. It has been messy. There were rival groups who worked against the formation as well as continuation of the nation. However, patriots prevailed and delivered the founding principles that are the envy of every nation on earth throughout world history. Reconciliation ensued. We survived the violence of that war 160 years ago only to rebuild and make positive changes.

Which is why our enemies have worked so hard to circumvent MAGA and the patriots.

Canned Beans

As I move to finish most of the observations, people of interest and events of my days in Arkansas, I would be remiss to not discuss a prominent family with whom I became acquainted and had a relationship. Some readers will have heard about or consumed their products.

Bush’s Beans from Bush Brothers and Company.

Wait, you say, Bush’s Beans was headquartered in Chestnut Hill in East TN back then. It has a 115+ year history of being headquartered in East TN, with the main office now in Knoxville. How does that tie into Arkansas? Let’s do a brief company ownership and leadership history to explain.

AJ Bush started a tomato canning company in partnership with the Stokely family in 1904. Yes, the larger veggie canning company already in existence back then in the same area of east TN. The Stokely family that later bought Van Camps and who later developed the Gatorade product and sold their company to Quaker Oats in the mid 80s. AJ bought Stokely out four years after start up and brought his two sons into partnership with him, Fred and Claude. The three then went about building their company into the top brand for canned beans in the south. There were always cans in my Mamaw and Papaw’s pantry in east TN during our visits. Dad said he grew up on them. Claude was in my grandparents’ age bracket and lived about an hour’s drive away.

The current company website info is below.

https://www.bushbeans.com/en_US

The story of their growth into an industry leader is well documented.

It connects to Arkansas when the Bush family bought a struggling canning operation in NE Arkansas in 1944 after the TVA acquired some prime farmland of theirs in east TN. As the story goes, the founder and father, AJ, passed away soon after in 1946. Claude’s older brother, Fred, took over as company CEO. The TVA went on to build a dam and create Douglas Lake in that area. The Bush family used part of the proceeds of the sale to buy that operation in Arkansas to gain access to product and new markets. The AR location continued to do poorly after their acquisition due to overall economy pressures, so Claude loaded up his family and headed to Blytheville, AR to take over and turn it around, which he did successfully. He and his wife also decided to make the community their home for the rest of their lives. The company continued to prosper. In 1959 Claude took over as CEO after the death of Fred. He then commuted between AR and East TN frequently. For perspective of his dedication to staying in AR, he drove the 450 miles to the company’s headquarters multiple times each month for years. Claude felt it was time to expand due to the company’s strong cash and receivables positions, so they acquired canning operations in Wisconsin, Oklahoma and Louisiana while also adding their own trucking company.

After getting that done, Claude retired from daily operations in 1965 at age 70 and became Chairman. His brother-in-law, CJ Ethier took over as President and CEO until retiring at which time, Claude’s oldest son, Condon, took over as President and CEO. Son Condon had moved to Blytheville with his parents as a youngster. He returned to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. After graduation he joined the Army. When his father purchased the Wisconsin canning operation, he left the Army and headed there with his family to become Plant Manager, which is where his son, Jay, grew up. While in Wisconsin, Condon developed the Bush’s Best Baked Bean formula that made the company famous nationwide and is the subject of the ads linked below.

Claude retired as Chairman during the time I moved with my ex back to the area in 1978. Ethier then took over as Chairman and CEO until 1992, when Condon moved back to Knoxville and took over as CEO with son Jay taking his spot as the Wisconsin plant manager. Jay moved back to Knoxville at the death of his father and had already become the public face and spokesman for the company.

For decades after that through today the Bush family has remained in ownership and operation of the company although they expanded the Board in the 1990s to modernize company leadership to stop family infighting and improve operations. They added four executives to the Board from other national companies that included Hershey and Gerber. It worked well and the company grew exponentially into the industry leader. In 2007 they finalized a unique family trust that is run by a family “senate” for executive, Board level decisioning. The ownership of the trust is comprised of the individual trusts of all of the family members with ownership, which is around 90 people now. Over the past ten years or so they began hiring highly qualified executive management outside of the family to lead the company into its continuing bright future.

In the early-mid 90s Jay and the outside marketing team hit on a simple, fun, award winning advertising campaign with a dog, Duke, that was a similar breed to his own pet. Below are some short ads for those who have not seen them or want to watch again. The first is from near the start of the campaign. They have not run the campaign since the last acting Duke passed in 2018.

My personal connection story begins with Claude and son, Allen Bush, an attorney, along with their wives Kathleen and Ann respectively. I first met Claude at the club golf course in 1981. All golfing members understood that Claude and two of his buddies had the same tee time on specific weekdays, so don’t ask for that time. They did not play on weekends. Claude was around 85 years old and the middle kid in the golfing threesome. The oldest was around 90 and the other was around 80. It was fun to watch them and they were loved by all. They would talk and joke around with everybody until it was time to play. Each would tee up and hit the ball 150 yards down the middle, then do it again, then pitch it on the green and then make the putt. Each would ride to their ball in their own golf cart. It was all done with military precision. After they finished they would drive back to their cart shed and close up, get in their cars, go home for lunch, and take a nap. There would probably not be 10 words spoken to each other the entire time they were golfing. It was serious business with bragging rights afterwards. 😂 They each approached their daily golf game the way they approached their work lives as younger men.

Unfortunately, Claude’s wife, Kathleen, passed away a year after I met them. That made all three of the golfing buddies widowers. Claude did not return to the golf course for nearly a year. It was a sad and difficult time for the family and it was the second time Claude had lost a wife. His first wife passed away at the age of 22. She was a Caton from the well known Caton’s Chapel area of Sevier County, TN.

Each of the threesome were Christians. Claude was UMC, the older bud was SBC, and the younger one was RCC. I know there is joke in there about walking into a bar.

Claude, Allen, and wives were members of the same United Methodist Church as my ex and I. Being active in church committees and classes with common friends together, we became better acquainted and I looked up to them. It was my observation that they were class acts and the opposite of many local wannabe snobs in a small pond and the wealthy plantation types. They seemed to be men and women of the people while being professional in their dealings. A reflection of their rural hillbilly East TN mountain roots before moving to the flatlands. They chose to stay when they could have moved back to the more urban, affluent, growing Knoxville area and its high quality of life. Outside of the air base their company was one of the biggest employers in town with 300 workers. It was a jobs lifeline for many residents and is still in operation today.

One year Allen was appointed to lead the area’s United Way fund drive. He asked me to be the Publicity Chairman and I agreed. We worked together on that drive, which was successful. We continued to work in church committees together. Allen was also Director of Sales for Bush’s Beans while remaining in Blytheville and maintaining his law practice. His brother, Condon, stayed in east TN until his passing in 2003 and is buried there. Claude passed away in 1990 and was also buried in Knoxville with Kathleen in the same Greenwood cemetery as my aunt and uncle on my father’s side, with my uncle passing the same year as Claude. Allen was a grad of the University of Tennessee law school and remained in Blytheville with his father the entire time. He has long since retired, leaving his law practice there to his son, Doug.

Another notable in the Bush family is Kristian Bush, a great grandson of founder AJ, who is one half of the star, award winning country music duo, Sugarland, with Jennifer Nettles. His family sold out of the bean business many years ago. His early days in music including performing with his brother as the opening act for Dolly at the Bush Beans Jamboree. He is reported to strongly dislike eating beans per a close friend of his and ours.

When using canned veggies, wifey and I love many Bush’s Beans products including their black eye peas, kidney beans and pinto beans. She uses the later two in her chili. Yum.

Civil War Redux

Many of you may have detected in the BIMD series of my Arkansas days that it provides evidence of the ongoing battles of the Civil War that is still raging from over 160 years ago. The current battlefield is concerned with gaining control of the minds, hearts, and assets instead of a full out violent conflict by region of the country. Before you think I’m on something I shouldn’t be, consider that even Harvard provides a course that believes that to be true.

https://english.fas.harvard.edu/gened-1133-us-civil-war-still-being-fought-0

I’m pretty sure they look at it the opposite of what We the People do although we can agree the weaponry is different and the battle still rages. The NWO cabal incites their soldiers to sell racism at every corner of the universe with owned media breathlessly hyping. Progs and anarchists lead the woke and cancel culture mobs. Sexual perversion rules their minds and hearts. If you listen to the talking heads and social media long enough, you would think there is no hope for America remaining the land of the free and the home of the brave for ordinary, normal American citizens.

Or is there? I contend the opposite is happening despite all of the leftist noise stirred up by the NWO cabal. It’s just the positive changes and safeguards are not happening quickly and obvious enough to suit many of us. So in the future I am going to go “there” and make what I believe is a credible case for the existence of this ongoing struggle for freedom and liberty in our nation – that We the People are winning. My case will be made without devolution and other theories that involve more intrigue and interpretation than my mind can handle. Mine will be historical, observable, logical, with much of it already in evidence.

Conclusion

We have reached the end of my involvement in the state of Arkansas although we will still occasionally briefly touch on some people, events and observations from those days. Until next time, I leave you with…

From the Rat Ranch to the heavens! RIP, Elvis and JD. His truth IS marching on….

Back In My Day: Arkansas – Follow the Money

This part of Goober Gump’s adventures will finish the story of my college friend before divulging the money players of the Arkansas mafia back in my day, whose descendants have continued the “family” businesses. I will expand the parallels and comparisons in the part that follows this one. Don’t think that ole Goober is just focused on himself, read on and be rewarded with knowledge.

From the NFL to the Pulpit

I will first focus on my college friend referenced in the last part. Jerry Muckensturm (Muck) is his name. Long before he and several other football players of our school’s team joined our fraternity, I admired the way they played the game. My first love in playing team sports was football, however, I did not have the size to play at a D1 level (now FBS D-1) at what I excelled at in high school. So I stayed with the baseball/academic scholarship and admired the play of the football program at Arkansas State.

Muck had a reckless abandon and would just nail ball carriers. His senior year was exceptional. He led the defense and conference in stats while the offense was led by a tiny, quick QB in the triple option who had played safety his first three years at our school. The brief linked story explains the rest.

https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2018/mar/31/asu-lb-several-worthy-on-1975-team-2018/

It might have been partially Goober Gump’s fault Muck missed the phone call from the Bears on draft day. It was the spring, graduating soon, there was this party at Goober’s apartment…

However, Muck was not the only high quality player on the team. Something happened in those years with that second fiddle university in a state that whole heartedly supported the larger university and Razorback program. It recruited a big school roster that was the envy of smaller programs around the country. The coaching staff led by Bill “Bull’ Davidson was top notch. Over the four years I was there something special was built. From 1974-1976 the program had 15 NFL draft choices. That was unheard of for a school of that size and standing. Follow the money…maybe?

It even included the longest field goal kicked in collegiate history to that point during my junior year at 63 yards. Joe Duren was the kicker and he did it old school, not soccer style, albeit wind aided that day. He also kicked a 56 yard game winner as time ran out in the same game against McNeese State. His achievement was publicized nationwide and later earned him a tryout in the NFL. Goober Gump just managed to be places when stuff happened.

Another frat friend, Ken Jones was drafted even higher than Muck in the second round that year. He went on to play in the NFL for 11 seasons with Buffalo and the NY Jets along with Steve Burks, who was a receiver with the NE Patriots for 3 seasons. Defensive back Roy Painter went on to play with Edmonton in the Canadian Football League for a season before heading back home Arkansas to the farm to get out of the cold. He, Muck and several others are in the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. Another star on the team, Leroy Harris, played fullback with Miami and Philadelphia for 5 seasons.

It was pure joy to watch these guys and others I ran with playing in the NFL. For what it’s worth, football players generally make crappy racquetball players. They think they can knock the walls down and run head long into them chasing that little ball. Never lost one game to any of them. Which drove them crazy. 😂

But the thing that matters most to me is that Muck found grace in the arms of Jesus and responded to his calling to teach The Word of God. He has made far more of an impact on the world with what matters most with that than any of his exploits on a football field.

Back to Business

Enough with the glory years. The point has been made that money made it all happen. It helped many student athletes like me who could not afford college. It also helped the university add more accomplished students and create a higher profile through athletics. Most of all it helped the big dog employers in the state who had a larger stable from which to choose employees.

Time for the meat. Let’s follow the money of the Arkansas Mafia. If you want to know who is in just one cluster of the NWO Big Club, look no farther than the membership roll of Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the annual world renowned Masters Golf Tournament. The task is to gather all the member names from this somewhat secretive bunch. Then you simply tie the known associates, businesses, political affiliations and so on to those names. Which leads to more clubs, secret societies, politicians, financial/business connections and such.

Would it surprise you to know that Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are members? Of course the NFL would have their crony commissioner there, Roger Goodell, along with Rob Manfred of MLB. CEOs of international corporations litter the rolls along with Condoleeza Rice and famous athletes.

https://www.sportscasting.com/become-member-augusta-national-golf-club-the-masters/

https://fanbuzz.com/golf/augusta-national-membership/

In summary, you’ve got to be a big dog at something and get an invite to this exclusive 300 member club. Before that invite comes, trusted members have to approve it. Sort of interesting that Trump has not been a member, isn’t it? He loves and plays the game well, is active with professionals that play it, and owns beautiful world class courses. He obviously has the money and contacts. But the PGA has even gone to the point of ruling out tournaments at his courses.

Yet, other prominent Dem and GOP supporters are all in there.

https://sports.yahoo.com/news/donald-trump-member-augusta-national-141006084.html

Do we think that might be a clue? We all know PDT would never have kept quiet about his membership if he was in it. But he rocks the Establishment boat a bit too much.

Then there was Bloomberg’s infamous list of 118 members out of the 300 total that leaked out that they pieced together in 2015.

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2015-augusta-national-golf-club-members/

The club has always been secretive and exclusionary that way since the great Bobby Jones founded it in the early 1930’s.

There is a Chairman elected from the membership who leads club affairs and is also assigned to handle the annual Masters Tournament, which is what brings the high profile to the club internationally. The links below list past Chairmen with brief backgrounds.

https://golf.com/news/tournaments/what-augusta-national-chairmen-did-before-holding-title/

https://golf.com/news/tournaments/augusta-national-chairmen/

My “Follow the Money” story features one of those seven Chairmen, Jackson “Jack” Thomas Stephens. Buckle up.

Back to the Bank

It was the spring of 1977 and by now, Mike and I had pretty well figured out that we were minions in the middle of the Arkansas mafia. One day, Paul, Slick’s college roommate and on-going confidant, asked me to jump in his car with him to go to the airport as he was flying out with some folks. He wanted to make introductions and then I would drive his car back to the bank as he was going to be gone for awhile to lobby in DC. When we arrived we walked to a waiting Falcon jet. Inside were Jackson “Jack” Stephens and his lady friend who became his wife several years later, Mary Anne Hurst (maiden) Keller Smith Stephens. It was a brief introduction with Paul explaining who I was and what I handled for the bank. There were several others from Jack’s investment company, Stephens, Inc. already on board. Having completed my duty, I headed back to the car. However, it was not the last time I would see Jack and Mary Anne.

Jack Stephens had an older brother named Witt Stephens, who was very well known in the state and nationally as a wealthy king maker. He was the founder of the largest off-Wall Street private equity firm in the nation in the run up and including the Clinton POTUS years. He also had ownership in many other large business holdings including fossil fuels, which is where the big money was made. Witt and his family’s story is interesting. The following is a really good business history type primer that is easy to follow from the current company website. There are also other more personal stories about Witt available from numerous other sources. They include stories about his belt buckle, Bible, and highway bond selling days. Go to the History to learn more.

https://www.stephensgroup.com/our-history/

Paul and the bank’s close association with the Stephens brothers tied it all together. Do you see any interesting names of corporations you know in the company history?

Remember my previous discussion that my bank employer (Union National) was later sold to the largest bank in the state, Worthen, and then Worthen sold to Boatman’s and Boatman’s sold to NationsBank and NationsBank merged with Bank of America as the dominant owner while taking the name of Bank of America? Guess what family’s investment company held ownership through all those mergers? Yup. The rich got mega richer. Their holdings in the banking empire was only one of many investments.

Their business interests also led to Riady and Indonesia as well as to the Middle East and the House of Saud. Which gives their descendants inroads into all globalism worldwide even today. Yes, that is The Riady related to Slick’s escapades.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/memo-links-clinton-to-riady/

https://www.southcoasttoday.com/story/opinion/1999/09/12/indonesia-s-clinton-ties-are/50508908007/

If it wasn’t so sick and obvious it would be funny as you watch these slime balls pretend to be honest and sincere human beings. Please note the Riady connection to the PRC.

As a side note, guess who worked for Union National and found himself later working for NationsBank after my bank employer at the time sold out to them after the completion of the Pilot financing? Yup, this guy. Who then left a year later to begin my small business banking career. It’s just one big circle of strange for Goober Gump.

There are many internationally sourced investors involved when it comes to private equity placements of large transactions. There is less regulatory oversight (as if that even matters today) when private funds are used to make investments into and by companies that generate revenues from a multitude of sources including private business, domestic and foreign business and governmental related contracts, military industrial complex contracts, etc. Many more ways to launder the cash. So, an Indonesian source originating funding for NWO cabal and Clinton political objectives would be a great big nothing to accomplish, especially since the Indonesian sources were connected worldwide all the way to China. The one mistake you do not make as an investment money manager in these situations is to lose the client’s investment. That would be a very bad thing for remaining alive.

Again, we will stay focused on Jack’s side of things; although the succeeding business, politics, etc. interests of Witt’s children will lead in a direction of their own. Can your stomach stand for you to see more of the financial network that propelled the coke snorting womanizer from Hope, AR into the highest elected office in America? Then read this unauthorized account of Jack’s involvements that does not appear in the cleaned versions one finds on the web. When I add my observations to them, well, it just is what it is.

For the record, he did not switch to support Clinton for POTUS as he had always supported Clinton in his governor races while supporting Reagan and HW in their POTUS terms. Jack Stephens always placed his bet on the person and not the party because of his own membership in the uniparty. Notice some of his reported business “activities” and “connections”? CIA, cartels, NSA, Hong Kong, Macao, gambling, illegal drugs, etc. all on the list; that can also be found on the list of other business leaders and politicians worldwide. By just connecting Riady to him you know the linked report is largely true.

Would it help explain things even more if I mentioned that Cankles, Webster (Hubbell) and Vince (Foster) were employed by Jack during some of those family business development years through the Rose Law Firm where they worked? While I worked down the street for a bank that was in the middle of all that mess for a couple of years and later, when I made business trips to the capital in my future management role. Again, a supposed staunch GOPer using a Democrat owned and operated law firm.

More information provided in the following.

https://constantinereport.com/who-is-jackson-stephens/

There always seems to be another hidden side of things with the NWO types. Taking them at face value and to not dig deeper is a mistake.

The foundational software the NSA used to track the most sophisticated banking system in the world at that time was owned by Witt and Jack Stephens’ company, Systematics. It was later sold in 1990 to Alltel (remember that company name from the aforementioned Stephens company website) who later sold the “Information Services” (software systems) in 2003 (before Jack’s death) to Fidelity National Financial. Alltel was in the telecom industry and held an early wireless phone (cell/mobile) company that was sold off in pieces to Verizon and AT&T.

So what does that tell us about Fidelity National?

https://fnf.com/Who-We-Are#About%20Us

With Systematics…

https://www.arkansasonline.com/news/2018/oct/07/systematics-marks-50-years-of-building-/

So the largest title company in North America, which knows every real estate property, owns a one time banking operations software company that provided the NSA access that now claims to focus on Sales, Accounting and Performance Analysis. What could possibly go wrong?

That is what we were facing then and even more so now. Does it help you understand whatever fraud is next to be sprung and sold to the American public? It is a system with a methodology they follow to the grave, which is perpetuated by the generations that follow. Belief that America has political parties who oppose each other is a fantasy. It is all a projected image. The majority are playing parts and are on the same team while simply posing to influence voters in their districts/states. You can tell by the bills that receive an element of bipartisan support with the opposing side rotating supporters subject to each bills appeal to their constituencies.

All of which becomes less important the more they can build the walls around the vote cheating mechanism – that both sides use. Oh Dominion, wherefore art thou? Alas, in red states as well as blue. However, that mechanism is just one of several utilized. We will discuss another that has been used for decades in the next part. We all are seeing the ballot harvesting in states that intend to cheat with both political parties knowing it.

Has the GOP leadership or Establishment politicians protested the illegal ballot harvesting we have seen in 2020 and currently in 2022? Nope. Uniparty.

The only things standing in their way are Donald Trump and We the People.

For an example, officially, brother Witt Stephens was a Democrat and Jack Stephens was GOP. The cleaned public press releases and media stories state Jack and wife, Mary Anne, were tireless supporters of Reagan and HW. The revered Reagan did not necessarily bow down to Dem demands. But he could be influenced into supporting some by Establishment, RINOs and Neocons. HW was the fox in the henhouse all along. All former CIA officials are as we have learned through the years. Jack knew all of that because he and Witt were in The Big Club.

How did you feel about it when you learned from the links that Jack and Jimmy Carter were close buddies going back to the Naval Academy? How about the large hunting lodge Jack owned in Jimmy’s native south Georgia? Or that Jack was a member of Augusta National in Georgia since 1962 knowing that major Democrat and RINO GOP supporters have always been in that club? How does that square with Jack handling the initial public capital offering (IPO) and being on the Board of Walmart for 15 years with its founder, Sam Walton? The same retail legend, Sam Walton, who along with his family members were/are Clinton as well as GOP Establishment, RINO and Dem supporters? All of it happening while having token HR John Paul Hammerschmidt, representing their district, working for their interests inside the GOP back in those days. The connections are mind boggling. Uniparty all the way, which continues today.

Truth is all uniparty participants play parts in the Big Club even if they are not full members. Jack’s sons and grandkids are doing it the same way today. They just have less media profile. The following news article from 1993 is quite revealing

https://archive.seattletimes.com/archive/?date=19930131&slug=1682819

This more recent one breaks each primary family member down.

What do you think of their claim that Jack, Jr. was a strong conservative with Tea Party connections while supporting Jim DeMint, Marco Rubio, and Sharron Angle? Ridiculous. However, that is how it is done. Build a story based on creating images, assumptions and misdirection; then claim it as factual repeatedly in the media until the general public accepts it.

All while brother Warren is openly playing with GOP Team Establishment. You may have noticed in the Bloomberg article that he took over his deceased father’s membership in Augusta National. Imagine that. The sons were admitted into The Big Club or Warren would not be in Augusta National membership.

The sons are both establishment globalists who lean GOP when it is in their best interests, yet, work with Dems with ease to win in other ways. That’s how it works in The Big Club.

Marriage and Divorce

So what happened to Mary Anne? She became Mary Anne Stephens in 1981. Mary Anne had burned through two marriages to average Joes by her late 20’s. After the second one, she got involved in politics and started meeting powerful men. Along the way and about the time I was in Little Rock, she began hooking up with Jack Stephens, who was over 20 years her senior, closer to his sons’ ages. One thing you will not observe is any public connection or acknowledgement in the media of Jack’s first wife, Mary Goodman Amerine Stephens, the mother of his two sons. It is as if she never existed in most press accounts. But divorce her he did in 1971. She took custody of the sons and moved to Alabama for ten years before returning to Little Rock. She never remarried and passed away five years after Jack. She was well taken care of financially by Jack. The local word was she was not all that torn up over divorcing him as they lived separate lives anyway.

Mary Anne married Jack in 1981. She was younger, attractive and useful to him working the societies and with the Reagan and HW campaigns as well as POTUS administrations.

We had moved back to my ex’s family roots in late 1977, where I took a job with a predecessor company to Arkansas Power & Light that would lead to a business office management position a year later. One day about a year before Jack and Mary Anne married, I saw them again in a small town not far from The Rat Ranch. They had flown into a nearby airport for Mary Anne to visit with family (IIRC a grandmother of her or her ex), which was in the same small town of some of my ex’s extended family. My ex’s family were invited to come by and see them. According to my ex’s family members, said family Mary Anne was visiting was allegedly raising her kids from her last average Joe marriage. Oops. We cordially talked after I became reacquainted as it turned out my ex’s parents knew them. So, my wealthy Democrat supporting ex’s family knew the supposed staunch GOP Stephens power couple, with both Jack and my ex-FIL knowing Jimmy Carter well and openly supporting Slick’s rise to power. It was not a surprise when I learned my ex-BIL went hunting at a lodge in south GA not long after that.

I received yet another wake up call.

The link below provides more info about their ten year marriage that ended in 1991. Seems they got sideways over politics and society life, with Mary Anne being the high profile player politically. With the divorce, gold digger Mary Anne received the couple’s Indian River, Florida mansion, which she sold recently for $12 million. She also received alimony of $1 million a year for life with no regard to her future marital status and continues being paid from family trust assets for the remainder of her life.

Jack wanted her gone from his life as he was the one who filed and did not remarry. She was just too much to handle with her need to be in the news and high profile politics. He liked to work and pull strings in the shadows. The divorce was finalized the year he was named Chairman of Augusta National. Over the ensuing years I would see Jack with Jim Nantz at the mic on TV in Butler Cabin awarding the green jacket to the winners of each Masters Tournament. Yes, it was surreal and would take me back to a time I wanted to forget.

Within two years of the divorce, Mary Anne remarried. You’ve probably heard of the fella she married – Don Shula. Yeah, the same guy who played in the NFL and then became a Hall of Fame head football coach for the Baltimore Colts and Miami Dolphins. The later being the only team in NFL history to have an undefeated season. Another high profile, society marriage for Mary Anne to a man 15 years her senior. It does appear they were very happy together in a marriage that lasted about 27 years. Fourth time was a charm for her. She could stay high profile and Don did not care since his primary income came from speaking fees. Some history below.

Don passed away in 2020 at 90 years old. Mary Anne sold her home afterwards.

Conclusion

The story about the Arkansas mafia during my day could go many directions from here. I have handed you, the reader, a major key to what we have seen play out on the national stage in politics and some related business endeavors leading up to Obama. There has been enough presented for digging purposes if you choose to jump into some rabbit holes. Simply go backward and forward from Witt and Jack Stephens. You will find Rockefellers and other cabal elites from around the world. The Stephens brothers and many of their noted contemporaries have passed away. However, their family members are still involved in the wealth building along with related international connections that developed over time.

Oftentimes I write my stories in generalities. I no longer have much interest in digging deeper into what I already know from past personal observations or involvement. It is all so horribly corrupt, criminal, and murderous. You don’t have to take my word for it. You can take what I write and run with it, see for yourselves where it leads. You will see the names, places, and events that will tie to what I offer you now and a whole lot more.

The masses never much believe what we “conspiracy theorists” say anyway. They would rather cover their ears and pretend all is well as good sheeple do. However, God cares. He knows all of it before it even happens because He knows what is in our minds and hearts. Which is what has been missing with so many of the people I have described in the Arkansas stories and will continue to describe in other Goober Gump adventures that follow. It is a lack of connection to their Maker that could provide a moral compass. In reality they rarely came across a line they did not cross if it would put money in their pockets or add power. They would just act on it without a second thought.

So, if you want to know what or who has kept Slick, Cankles and their cronies out of prison or worse, look no farther. In all deference to Q, they are still playing the game. They are intertwined with all of the connections in this story. They, their cronies, handlers and puppet masters know stuff about each other while playing their parts in all of it. Violating the confidences results in bad things happening to the revealer and/or their loved ones and associates. Which is why nearly all of them go to the grave with it. Arkanciding and being Epsteined are real things, plus a whole lot more.

The next part in this series will tie up some loose ends and provide some more interesting connections of prominent people. I will address a real world experience of voting in elections without being registered or actually physically voting. Still happening today as you know. Then we will dive into a few real reasons for the War Between the States, the Civil War, the War of Northern Aggression, or whatever your favorite term is for that untidy event. Were you aware the war is still being fought?

However, for now let’s go back in time to a song that still says it all.

Back In My Day: Coal Country Heroes – Finale

As BIMD stories have been told, you may have begun to see the parallels between them as well as what you may have experienced in your life or happened in the lives of others during similar time periods and events. As has been noted, many of the featured people seized their opportunity to accomplish what was in their hearts and minds. Sometimes it would make an obvious mark on society or the world, other times it would be a quiet or thankless lift to others with needs without the world around them knowing or caring.

This story is kind of important in my opinion.

Which leads to…

Bands of Brothers and Sisters

What has struck me as vital to progress in the American experiment is the banding together of people with common purpose to achieve common goals, especially if the related achievements were honorable and positive for America. Which goes even further to buttress Q’s post of “They want you divided.” With that statement you not only learn that unity is extremely valuable, you learn we are at war within our own people due to the intentional sowing of seeds of discontent, lies and corruption. Throw in some MK and you have the recipe for disaster as a nation when other worldly national enemies are pulling the strings. To combat that, unity of purpose is critical.

The 6th Habit of Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is Synergy. This is the concept of 1 + 1 = 3 when fully committed by participants. Which simply means the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. As an example, a team with a common dedication to the mission of performing well together is always more dynamic than the best of individual players doing his/her own thing well.

That’s how it is with Bands of Brothers and Sisters.

Busting Stereotypes Created by Narrative Builders

My Coal Country Heroes of the highest order are the common men and women who worked in those forgotten camp towns and mines to help build America into the superpower it eventually became. The people who were used, denigrated, called hillbillies and worse by the self ordained elites of society. Some of those lesser respected common folks actually owned the businesses where some of the common folks worked. They knew what they knew and did not fall into the trap. As a result, a Band of Brothers and Sisters was created. This developed a key core group that drove each venture and industry to success through the synergy they created.

To understand better we have to go back to the beginning. Most Coal Country inhabitants were in America because their ancestors left oppression and famine in their native European lands. Others who also worked in the holes were from Africa, whose descendants were captured and sold as cattle in slave markets, some by their own nation’s rulers. The cabal’s minions never bother telling you that in their polished, narrative defining history accounts. Nor do they discuss that people of all skin colors worked side by side in these Coal Country environments. Depending on the state and number of active mining operations, 20-33% of the workforce in general was African American. Sure, there were advantages to being a Caucasian in a nation with laws and regulations that were still in the infancy stage of reform from the result of the Civil War. However, common decency and support of one another was how it was on the ground in those areas. The simple facts were it was difficult, back breaking work that paid comparatively well. A man could provide for his family by being a miner. Since they all knew each other’s families, community was built to support one another.

As a personal example, my Papaw and Mamaw did not have a racist bone in their bodies. Nary a word or action ever to suggest such a thought or deed. My Papaw was the Superintendent over three mines for his company at one time before the Black Lung Disease struck him. My Mamaw taught all of the young kids, no matter the color of their skin. Whoever wanted to learn, she taught.

As one example, if my Caucasian Papaw had been racist, he would not have hired others with different skin colors as he frequently did. He would have not been the first person into a mine when there was trouble such as a tunnel collapse, flood or fire. Sort of like 9/11 with the FDNY and NYPD. They ran in while everybody else ran out. Nobody bothered to notice the skin color first. He was an Army veteran of WW I. Nobody was going down in the hole before him to inspect and determine the next steps. As Superintendent he did not have to do that and most with that title did not. He could have sent somebody else to do the dangerous job including people with different skin colors who would have done it to earn favor with the boss. He chose himself for the job.

It eventually cost him his health and his job. OSHA was not around in those days and it was just accepted that if you worked in a coal mine something negative would eventually happen to your health. There was no SSI and Medicaid to cover the financial and health cost. However, that’s what people who understand the Band of Brothers and Sisters do. Stand in the gap for each other and their people. The community would then rally around the injured and fallen to help whatever way they could.

You may ask how I “know” these things aside from personal observations and conversations with family and friends? It is a fair question. Much of the history of the Coal Country in my family’s region during the period is recorded in a book our family purchased 35 years ago that was prepared and published by a long term resident and historian. She solicited and received photos, newspaper accounts, company documents, etc. and published them with the archived local history and first hand accounts of residents from each community. In addition, copies of actual birth and death records from the counties and communities are provided going back to the late 1700’s. Families were listed with ages on census reports. The project took her over ten years to complete and publish. It is a treasure trove for genealogists.

Unionization

On its surface, unionization can be a quality response to oppression and danger within employment. I will not delve into government related unionization at this time, which is destructive and one of the worst things that was ever allowed to happened to our form of government. I really don’t know how we can talk about coal miners and not at least briefly discuss the United Mine Workers of America – the UMWA.

What a mess of a union

Back in the height of the underground coal mining years, the UMWA served an important role in racial relations as they were one of the first unions to offer membership to African Americans. As a result the standard of living for all workers elevated, the owners could not play games easily with union versus non-union and lock-outs. This gave the workers some say in how things went.

As the move away from underground mining increased, the union’s membership and power reduced. Down to about 10 K miners and nearly bankrupt a few years ago, they started working to unionize and represent other industry groups as well as the Navajo Nation. At one time it had become one of the more corrupt and violent unions in our country during its long history going back to 1890, which was formed from the merger of two other unions. It has in the neighborhood of 80 K members now that were needed to shore some 40-50 K of retirees’ pensions and medical plans. Which means the new members are covering the costs of old members because there was nothing left to pay out without growing the membership somehow.

If history is the best predictor of future behavior you already have a good indication of how it is going to work out for the younger members.

At its beginning the coal mining union movement had good intentions. However, over the ensuing years it became a money pot for corrupt leadership until it was all gone. Honest and reasonable relations with company owners would have benefitted all parties. Instead there was violence and strikes with threats to everybody involved. The owners would then go hard core with private security, lock-outs and scabs. That led to the union’s eventual near destruction as they cried wolf too many times along with using the threat of stopping production of a nationally necessary energy source through violent strikes. Business invests capital where it will bring the highest returns with the least hassle from the workforce and regulators. So strip mining, especially in western states, now dominates the coal industry. Needless to say that activity is not as manpower intensive even if it is the target of environmental wackos at times.

Along the way the UMWA lost influence with election outcomes with the dwindling numbers of miners and their ability to impact the economy. They were left used and abused. They fell for the same ole Uniparty Cabal manipulation. Nothing but money pits, votes and slaves for them to use just like the cartels, traffickers, sexual perverts, BLM, ANTIFA, etc. are today. That Band of Brothers and Sisters with its synergy was systematically destroyed.

For a good laugh, picture the beta males and woke population of today being compelled to go to work down in a dark hole with the coal miners of that day. Oh my…

The Moral of All BIMD Stories

If you have chosen to spend your time reading BIMD, I ask that you thoughtfully consider the ramifications of one important truth. We the People have been in a war for the soul of America since our founding. I pray for you to be granted wisdom and discernment so you will not be used for nefarious purposes no matter the personal cost. Character and integrity matter as you approach the Lord after your last breath here, especially when the Uniparty Cabal is trying to burn everything down to get their way.

The Uniparty Cabal is part of a larger, sinister worldwide group of people who use proven methods to gain wealth and power over others. It works something like the following with modifications as needed.

Identify a goal or mission; plan long term accomplishment of same; locate and/or develop the resources needed to accomplish it; seek out and convince like-minded others to join forces to accomplish the objective; use whatever tools necessary to convince common folks to join in (including, lies, manipulation, deception, brainwashing, blackmail, etc.); increase control and steal the created wealth; manipulate useful others to move on to other goals/missions/objectives; burn down the no longer viable project/industry/business/nation/community/etc.; employ cleaners in the military/law enforcement/legal/judiciary/government/media. Rinse and repeat.

Please do not participate. If you find yourself involved with them, leave immediately.

Back to the story, as for Coal Country folks of that day…

The Hillbilly Highway Called

Papaw and Dad were UMWA members. You had to be to receive a job in those days. I possess my father’s old union membership card along with an old blueprint he drew on a mine he surveyed and engineered. I remember him stating he never wanted anything to do with them, said he never went to a meeting.

The coal mining families became splintered as the mines were shut down and most left for the allure of manufacturing and construction jobs primarily in the Midwest. That Coal Country Band of Brothers and Sisters fell apart and relocated. That severely impacted families, friends, neighbors, businesses, schools, churches – everybody. Entire communities were left for dead as families had to uproot and move away from what they knew and the lands of their ancestors.

Let’s briefly summarize the Uniparty Cabal’s implementation of their plan so you do not miss a historical application. The buyers of our region’s mines were primarily from the northeast and Midwest. Once they bought, they would begin the process of shutting them down most of the time. Why? One major reason was to reduce competition in the marketplace to increase coal prices to increase profit by using the mines they already owned. Another was that many of the owners as well as their larger customers also had interests in manufacturing, steel and iron production, distribution and so on. They needed the migration of workers to fill the jobs. As western state strip mining kicked in during the 60’s and 70’s the volatility of being in the underground mining business caused many local owners to sell out.

Use your imagination and envision a 4 lane interstate highway between coal country and the Midwest. Now, picture it having three lanes heading north and only one lane heading south. That is what it would resemble during those days. The one southbound lane would be traveled on weekends for families to go visit kinfolk or go on vacation into the mountains or further, to the beaches. The three lanes heading north would carry the traffic load most of the time as families relocated.

The migration simply transferred the strong work ethic, family dynamics and equally strong sense of community to the regions that had the jobs. Want to know why the Midwest continued to grow into manufacturing meccas during those years? Some of it was good access to transportation via railroads, better highway systems, the Great Lakes, and rivers. Some was due to ample access to energy and governmental support. Most important was having access to a growing work force that could get things done. With all that going on, guess who felt the need to help organize the labor? The Uniparty Cabal also controlled the union leaders in closed shop states where union membership was required to hold a job.

Money, power, votes. Beginning to see how and why this worked the way it did?

Meanwhile Back in the Hills Where the Sun Doesn’t Shine

What was left behind with the migration were areas that existed as they had for many years, lacking commitment from state government to invest into the improvement of the quality of life of the remaining residents. Time stood still. Poverty reigned, which led to crime, substance abuse and people not achieving their full potential. If you did well in school as a student, you looked to leave since there was very little opportunity.

The unofficial fight song of the University of Tennessee is dearly loved by Vol fans and equally hated by opponents because it is played to distraction during sporting events. However, once again listen to the words from our gal, it gives insight into how things were left.

Good Lawd, she’s good…

That corn in a jar is now legally consumed throughout our state with distilleries on almost every corner of tourist areas. Now, skip forward a generation to one I have posted in the dailies before, which was more appropriate for my younger years.

Hooch and weed in dem hills

We can debate (or not) the character and integrity of choosing to illegally make moonshine, grow marijuana, and distribute them. Within the spirit of those who did (and still do) is something we need to recapture as a nation. It is contrarian at its core. It challenges all accepted narratives and questions authority to the point of open rebellion if necessary. This is not to advocate violence. This is to advocate that some develop a backbone to challenge alleged authority and not go along to get along.

We know the leadership of our nation and many other nations of the world are corrupt and criminal. There is no valid excuse for not knowing. As a result, why comply with them when they violate the law and Constitution? What do you have to gain other than doing their bidding and pretending you are going to live forever in this evil world? Shut ’em down without firing a shot. Stop doing what they say to do that is against the law and Constitution. Period. Both are open sourced, so read them. Then live accordingly. Guidelines, mandates and bluster from politicians is not the law or Constitution.

It’s like with the Bible. You can pretend to know what it says and means because somebody else told you something, or, you can actually read to comprehend and source supporting analysis to come to your conclusion led by the Holy Spirit. If you make it a regularly planned activity, it is not too hard to digest over a lifetime of pursuit.

To MAGA well, you have to seek truth and live accordingly.

As an example, why voluntarily choose to have an unknown substance injected into your body? A substance that the snake oil sales people refuse to provide its ingredients and want that information withheld from the public. Because the government and CDC told you to take it? Do you actually trust the medical community cartel of the Uniparty Cabal? Is the threat of losing a job worth rolling the dice on the number of days and amount of pain in your life? In my opinion, you are better off with the shine and weed than that stuff. Do what the law and Constitution say that is not in conflict with the Lord and nothing more. Live your life.

Even a blind redneck knew better.

What the Rocky Top and Copperhead Road songs tell you is that the same Uniparty Cabal who sent us to Vietnam for the Neocons to make money and live their elitist lives, who also heavily tax the legal production and consumption of alcohol; want to use you as their sheeple slaves. Notice that both shine and weed are legal in many states now as long as tax money is collected. They could not make enough off of their illegal production by just taking bribes, so they opened it up legally and tax them.

Grow your own where you are planted. 😀

Pete DeBusk and the B. Rays knew all of this. They left the small towns of their youth to make their ways and fortunes. However, they never left their people behind. When it became their time to become business leaders, they did it with their people. Which is why they were committed to providing the education, healthcare and access to opportunity in the regions that government frequently ignores because there is not enough money in it for the politicians and the Uniparty Cabal.

They put into practice growing where they were planted. They embraced free market capitalism combined with caring and doing something positive about the welfare of their people.

The Road to Positive Change

This road starts with the desire to treat others as you desire to be treated. So if you are looking to take advantage or screw over your neighbor, you probably need to move on. It becomes critical that the people support one another and lift each other up. This develops the Band of Brothers and Sisters spirit that leads to the synergy of achievement as a group of people. When that happens it leads to positivity, goal setting – and winning.

Be a part of the solution so as not to contribute to the problem. There is a need to relocate occasionally. Sometimes that is our only option. What we should avoid is falling victim to chasing somebody else’s dream or calling. Chase the one that has been laid on your heart. Which means you need a heart. It is a heart that responds to not only your needs, but the needs of those around you. You care.

This region of Coal Country for the most part lost that battle in those days. It lost its most important assets, which was many of its people. Instead of a transition of the workforce toward other manufacturing and construction type jobs with the electrification of the country into the rural areas to go with the establishment of the Tennessee Valley Authority, much of the financial capital as well as people capital left. The Midwest flourished as a result. Which was the intent of the Uniparty Cabal.

That remained the case until decades later when the Midwest began falling victim to the ruses of the Uniparty Cabal as well. How did that giant sucking sound work out as Mexico, Japan and China took over the primary wealth creators? What happened to the lot of the common man and woman in those deep blue urban areas and factory towns? The Uniparty Cabal simply does not care about what happens to We the People no matter where we live. They view the world as theirs to manipulate whatever way they desire.

What was missed by those in authority here was that it was never about Coal Country remaining that way long term. The coke produced from the coal in Coal Country is a better quality generally, but the demand had reduced. Nothing in life ever stays the same. It was about using the wealth that came from its production to build a long term quality of life, access to education and training, as well as other employment opportunities that could carry the future in the region. Politicians in government and community leaders failed to incentivize private capital to take on the challenges of building business and industry in the region that could utilize the strengths of the Band of Brothers and Sisters work force. It failed to educate and train its people. It failed to support the mission of its national founding documents that basically state that all men were created equal before God and that each person is individually precious. Instead, many who prospered the most walked away to join the elites instead of staying true to their roots and people.

Hillbilly Highway Adds a Southbound Lane

The Great Depression spawned FDR’s New Deal and with it came the 1933 TVA Act. Many locals hated it, others embraced it because it changed the actual landscape. There was no question that something needed to be done to put people to work. There is no denying it changed the economic face of the region forever. So when things were at their worst as a nation economically with the winds of war in the air and at the beginning of the downhill economic slide for the region; a new plan was hatched. It would take 40-50 years to understand most of its positive and negative ramifications, then make modifications. It took the 1960s and the addition of nuclear power to the TVA power grid as well. All of it was happening while much of the regional work force continued to be siphoned off to the Midwest primarily. However, some growth in industry was beginning in the more urban areas in and near Coal Country that provided much needed jobs.

https://www.tva.com/About-TVA/Our-History

A cottage industry began to develop around the newly created lakes and vistas of the mountains called tourism. Just because many of the people left for jobs in other areas, it did not mean they did not want to return for visits, to seek new employment opportunities, or eventually retire there. As more and more vacationed in the area, they made plans to find jobs or prepare for retirements in attractive areas regardless of where they were from originally. Many of these people were able to revisit their family’s roots and reunite in communities their ancestors left.

A simple, quiet shift had begun. A lane of the northbound interstate had been switched to being southbound.

Conclusion

We will now take an exit ramp from the Coal Country Heroes of BIMD and return to the region to cover different people and time period at a later time. During the series we have seen the influence of two accomplished Coal Country business families of which I had historical interactions as well as my family and friends; the DeBusk and Thompson families. Their positive impact on the area cannot be overstated, however, their success also led to international benefits for mankind in their areas of expertise.

Within the stories about Dolly and Pete DeBusk there was the mini-story of former TN Chief Justice Gary Wade, a former classmate of my wife and friend of ours. One of the good guys whose hometown and family are on the outskirts of Coal Country, but highly influenced and impacted by its people, just like Dolly and her family. We discussed Dolly’s impact regionally and internationally. And just in case I need to remind you, my wife slept with Dolly (and her other siblings) growing up. 🤣

Also associated with the region and within my interactions, were/are two other well known entertainers who benefited from living and working in Coal Country who paid it forward to help others, Levon Helm and Morgan Wallen. In the later’s case he is just getting started. Both exhibited their share of contrarianism.

It is now time for BIMD to head back to the Delta. As we depart from Coal Country I leave you with a poem from my Coal Country Mamaw.

Sowing and Reaping

I’ll try to gather, and store in my heart,

A wealth of joy and sunshine,

To last me through dark hours of sorrow,

That to every life must come sometime.

I’ll try to scatter as many flowers

As I can, along the life’s dreary way,

To cheer and brighten the lives of others,

With whom I come in contact each day.

If I can help to reclaim one life that has wandered,

Bring a smile to one face, to one heart a song,

Where before had been only darkness and sorrow,

It will be worth living a whole life long.

Back In My Day: Coal Country Heroes – In Coal Country, Some Make It To Just Give It Away

It is an interesting concept. Make as much as you can honestly so you have more to give to others. You know, kind of like what Nancy Pelosi, Barry Soetoro and The Big Guy do.

Well, we know better with that bunch and those like them. However, some people actually do it differently. It’s as if they take the words of Jesus seriously. This story is about such a family who did just that. Yet, they flew under the radar for many years in the media and public view, but not in the hearts and minds of the people they helped.

Before I go into that story, I need to move my paternal side of the family story along.

The Hillbilly Highway

The year was 1951. My parents had met in 1949 in the coal camp town of St. Charles, VA and married in 1950. My father worked for the Stonega Coal Company in St. Charles. which was headquartered in nearby Big Stone Gap of neighboring Wise County, VA. He was a surveyor and engineer for the company. He went to work one day and learned with my Papaw and the rest of the employees that the company was being sold over time to a larger company in Pennsylvania and that operations would be shut down in St. Charles over the coming year.

It was time to hit the Hillbilly Highway to find work in the Midwest factory towns where the jobs were, as so many in the region did after the war.

Could not resist…

Papaw

My Mamaw and Papaw, Dad’s parents, decided that it was time to call it a day and move back to southeastern KY or northeastern TN, to areas that held family and friends where it was home. They determined that if there was no work, there was no reason to be in St. Charles. Papaw was limited in what he could do physically as he had become infected with the dreaded Black Lung Disease about the same time as Dad had left to join the Navy for WW II in 1942.

Papaw was an amazingly strong man to have survived that long. He was diagnosed with Black Lung in his early 50s. For nearly a year he was unable to work, but slowly learned to cope with it and build some stamina back over the months when most men passed away from it. In fact, his physician told the family he probably had six months to live when he made the diagnosis. Mamaw worked in food service at a grocery in town to help them survive. Gradually Papaw regained enough strength to return to the mines in an Inspector role, which is what he did for the next 7-8 years before the Stonega mine closure announcement.

He did it without drawing a lot of attention to himself as he was a quiet man. He was revered by his co-workers and was the only man that my mentally ill mother openly respected all of his life. He had a quieter bit of this guy in him as a WW I army veteran himself. He came by it honestly, his mother was a York, a first cousin of this guy’s mom…

Sgt. Alvin York

You might be surprised (or not) to know that what he ate and what he did after the diagnosis is similar nutritionally to what many of us have been doing with our nutrition and supplements along with exercise and rest to shield and restore us from bouts with COVID. Eggs with bacon or sausage for breakfast. Lots of vegetables with portions of beef, pork and chicken for lunch and dinner. Plenty of water, coffee and a glass of milk. A glass of beer a few days a month if they could afford it.

As he regained a bit of stamina after the diagnosis he would rise everyday at about 5 AM. He would go on a minimum 2 mile walk even in moderate winter weather. The Knoxville News Sentinel newspaper would be in the local market or paper box by the time he finished the walk and he would pick one up daily to start his reading.

Proper nutrition, sleep, exercise, stress relief, no interest in more toys, rent, just enough money, Bible reading daily, meditate and pray, follow current events, grow a garden and can, enjoy the outdoors, enjoy and help others, and love each other was the recipe for his and Mamaw’s peace and healing. Even with the problems of my parents and our dysfunctional family unit, I was able to see Papaw and Mamaw doing it well with very little. I made a mental note as a youth. It meant more because I did not see it at home. To say I was a Papaw and Mamaw boy would be an understatement.

Mamaw – A Woman After God’s Own Heart

With all due and proper respect for the Word’s statement about David being a man after God’s own heart in I Samuel 13:14, which obviously was true, so such a woman also existed on this planet many years later. Just like David, she realized her righteousness did not come from her actions, but from her love for and submission to God. She simply accepted all of His Word as true and applied it. At a time when others may have given up or ignored God, like David she chose to praise Him. Many of David’s psalms were full of his heartaches and even questioning of God, but he never stopped serving and worshiping Him. As I read Mamaw’s poems written over decades and remember my experiences with her, I see the same thing.

Mamaw was the star child of her poor family. Her father was a coal miner like so many in those years around Middlesboro, KY. She maxed out as an adult at 4′ 9″ and around 85-90 lbs., which made her pairing with my 6′, 200 lbs. Papaw a bit odd looking. She loved going to school and dreamed of one day being a teacher there. That dream was realized when the small town helped by paying for her to go to college to be a teacher in the area, which she did faithfully for many years in the coal camp towns. She loved nature, cooking, cleaning, sewing, writing poems, reading, helping others and smoking 3 Salem cigarettes per day. Yep, that’s right. They were smoked before or after meals. She did not enjoy eating or being around my mother.

She said more than a few dresses to wear each year were too many. She made them all with her sewing machine from patterns. She then gave away one or more that she had from the last batch. She had limited jewelry, accessories and makeup. In a similar manner she had one heavy coat, one light coat, a couple of scarfs, winter gloves, a few pairs of shoes. Her lingerie and stockings fit in one dresser drawer. All of it was planned and she wanted no clothing as a birthday or Christmas gift. Stationary, pens and/or a book would do just fine. She was never a girlie girl as the work required strong calloused hands with a mountain living fitness.

She quilted. I have the quilt she made that kept both or her children warm as babies.

She was thrifty because that was all she had ever known or desired. She wanted to make sure her family had plenty to eat, clean clothes and a roof over their head even if it meant she would do without other things. If the world overlooked her or considered her insignificant, it did not matter to her as she would devote herself to the needs of others until she drew her last breath. If a neighbor or friend needed anything and they had it to give it would be done. She had a resolve to simply not go down, not give up.

When you were in her presence and had her attention, you knew you were deeply loved. She would ask thoughtful and penetrating questions. If she did not give you her attention over an extended period of time, it meant you did not hold favor with her. She rarely said an angry word. The only person she clearly could not enjoy being around was my mother. She would just leave the room and avoid confrontation in front of the family. However, there was this one time when we were gone and they were there alone together. Boundaries were established that mother never crossed again.

When Papaw could no longer work, Mamaw continued to work to help them survive at a food service job or later as a cloth cutter in a shirt manufacturing facility in town until she was about 72 years old. When The Black Lung Benefits Disease Act was finally passed in 1972, having enough money to live on was not as much of a factor and she no longer worked outside their home.

The last 15 years or so of their lives together were spent living in a walk up rental apartment in an old, national historic site mansion (more like a large frame Victorian style house) in LaFollette, TN. They were very content there. The owner was a widow of a downtown hotel owner/operator. The home was built by one of the two brothers that originally founded the town. A large vegetable garden was located on the property. Mamaw and Papaw would tend the garden every year with the owner. In return she would give them whatever they desired to eat and can to help them get through the colder months. It was a much appreciated lifeline and the three became close friends through the years. As a result they could save money to buy coal to heat their apartment with the fireplace. Yes, they used coal to stay warm. Which is how fireplaces were built back in the day in the region, to handle coal and wood. It was amazing they survived for all those years doing that, even without a CO and smoke detector! 😉

Also on the property were many beautiful gardens, a gazebo and a stream. It was there that Mamaw could enjoy nature, be at peace and have a place to contemplate her next poem or work on a quilt in the cool of the evenings or by the fire. She would enjoy having a cup of coffee and a conversation with her owner friend during those times.

She never declined mentally until the day she died. Her body gave out because she had no appetite. The rest of us would dive into her great country cooking when we visited, while she might have a small plate of pinto beans and a slice of cornbread with milk. She would allow her body to become dehydrated in the last few years, which basically led to her death at age 78 as her organs shut down and she could not be revived. She had left us and gone to be with her blessed Lord and Savior. I am sure he welcomed her with open arms with a heavenly choir singing. Our loss was Heaven’s gain.

Papaw spent his last few years living alternately with both my parents and my aunt until he passed away in his sleep of old age in my parent’s home.

Meanwhile

While they were living out their lives on the eastern side of our region’s coal country; on the western side of the northeastern TN mountains in Scott County there was a a young saw mill and timber businessman working for his father. Wanting to do more with his life, he left to learn the coal business and be a salesman at the recently formed Garland Coal Company. He stayed with the company and eventually became its President. Years later he left and began buying other distressed coal companies and their mines while buying interests in the timber business. Over time he combined coal mining operations in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia with timber operations into one company called Elk River Resources. He accumulated a vast fortune over those years. As he entered his early 70s he sold the company for $300 million, which would be the equivalent of at least a couple billion dollars today. The value of the transaction was enhanced greatly by an invention from his design that the company used in its coke making processes.

It was the original emission free coke oven. The answer to the growing environmental and health issues associated with using coke produced from coal in industrial furnaces.

Did I just write, “emission free”? Yes, I believe I did. Of course that is a relative statement, so let’s just go with proven safe emission levels. Below is a link from about 2010 to a comprehensive explanation of the more recent usage, status and evolution of the process for those so inclined to dive into the weeds.

B. Ray Thompson, Sr.

That’s the name of the Scott County, TN native that made the fortune while helping develop an environmentally friendly product and process that made the use of coke safer. Having made many millions prior to selling his company for hundreds of millions, he needed something to do for the last decade of his life. What follows is a testament to a father and son who had big hearts for their fellow mankind.

Going back to when it all began; after the birth of his second son, his first wife passed away. Not long thereafter he moved with his two sons from Scott County to Knoxville in 1941 with 2 dollars in his pocket. He married his second wife some time later, who also passed away of cancer in 1953. He continued in his sales role and then began the previously described process of buying coal companies and timber rights in the early 1960s with his sons, which became Elk River Resources as described above.

His dream was always to give back to the people and children of the areas of his youth. Elk River was known for doing just that by helping in many ways. As he neared his death, in 1987, the Thompson Charitable Foundation (TCF) was formed and later, the Elgin Foundation was formed by son, B. Ray Thompson, Jr., and family. The later was named for the community in which Senior was born and raised. The Elgin Foundation is devoted to helping children throughout the region while the TCF is for overall donation purposes. In addition, Senior was well known for giving a $5 million donation for a seed contribution to the construction cost of a large new basketball and entertainment arena on campus known as Thompson-Boling Arena, which is in use by the University of Tennessee to this day. He resisted having the facility named after him until a group of influential boosters led by Pilot Oil’s Big Jim Haslam agreed with B. Ray to add the President of UT’s name for whom all had great respect, Ed Boling, on the sign with him.

B. Ray Sr. had been deeply hurt by the loss of his second wife to cancer. After he sold his company, he used part of his funds to provide the seed capital to do something about that evil disease. A local hospital, Ft. Sanders, now part of the Covenant Health System chain, worked with him to establish a dedicated cancer diagnostics and treatment facility on their main hospital campus near the university now known as Thompson Cancer Survival Center. It has become an important addition to the region as the premiere oncology center regionally as described in the link below.

My wife and daughter use it annually for breast exams and our daughter also interned as a volunteer there as she was pursuing a nursing degree.

Upon his passing away at 81 years of age, the TCF had been established and left in the care of family members, with his son as President.

B. Ray Thompson, Jr.

Oh my, what a man. If you do not care for Christianity, giving back and paying it forward – you might want to sit out the rest of this story.

Junior went by the name of Ray while his father was always B. Ray. I am calling him Junior to differentiate from his father. He went to school in Knoxville with his younger brother after the move from Scott County with their father. Senior had purchased a home along Maryville Pike there. He went to the University of Tennessee. I know that not because of open media type sources and reports. I know because my father knew him. They were both in their first year at UT after the end of WW II. Dad was 6 years older than Junior with 4 years in the Naval Air Force and had already completed 2 years of college at Lincoln Memorial before the war. He had grown up in coal country on the eastern side, Junior had his western Scott County roots where his grandparents still lived. They both knew the coal business of their parents. Junior planned to get a business degree, Dad was going for civil engineering. I have Dad’s student enrollment book information from 1946-47 with them and other notables in it that he would talk about through the years.

My father was done with school in two years and took an entry level job locally with ALCOA (Aluminum Company of America) in the Parts Department. Junior continued until graduation a couple of years after that. About the time Junior graduated, Dad returned to the mines to be a surveyor/engineer where Papaw was employed in his native Campbell County, TN. He then started his International School the Mines education. Junior stayed in Knoxville and went to work with Elk River with his father, where he became an integral part of company operations. Their paths did not cross after that although a good friend of Dad’s that he remained close to for many years was a Knoxville attorney who did legal work for Elk River at times.

So, when Junior’s father sold the company in the 70s to Sun Corporation some 25 years later, he was a major beneficiary. Senior handed the family investments to Junior. He was also over the foundation development plans while Senior stayed close to the major business and university leaders who were his friends.

It was during his working years with Elk River that Junior, his wife and children started going to the evangelical 200+ year old Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church. Oh yeah, who else do we recall has been a long standing member of that church? That would be former mayor, governor and current owner in Pilot Oil, Bill Haslam and his wife and family. In reality, Junior was involved with so many churches and Christian ministries that he was claimed by all.

Junior was married to his wife, Juanne, for 63 years until his death at age 88 in 2017. She died a few months later at the age of 85. They were totally devoted to each other. They had 4 daughters and a son along with a bunch of grandchildren. He left a legacy that will probably never be fully known except in Heaven. The number of kids who have been helped through the Elgin Foundation he started in honor of his father and their roots in rural eastern Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia has been estimated by charity leadership at over 90,000. Free dental services have been provided to over 35,000 children in the region alone. The Foundation continued on after his passing five years ago and is run by his three daughters doing what it has always done. During the later half of Junior’s life he was personally involved in many of the individual charities and with the recipients on a daily basis. The best part is the general public never really noticed because he wanted no publicity, just like his father. Just went about helping others daily from the blessings already provided to themselves. He also did his part to support UT athletics with an $11 million donation to build the indoor practice field used by the football team as well as $2.5 million for a renovation of the arena. TCF still gives away millions each year.

The simplicity of his obituary speaks to his humble spirit:

Conclusion

In case you were wondering, their first names were Buster. Now you see why Senior went by B. Ray and Junior went by Ray. There would have been a lot of jokes to endure during those days. Right, Buster?! How do you like your new shoes, Buster? Listen here, Buster! 🤣

Or, you can call me Ray…

Still love this one after all these years.

In all families there are difficult circumstances. In addition to the loss of Senior’s two wives, Senior’s other son, Jesse Jackson Thompson, Junior’s one year younger brother, was estranged from his family. He left in the 1960’s and never came back. He passed away over 20 years ago and is buried in Charlotte, NC with no record of any other family members being involved. A business associate of Junior once told me there were mental problems and that he had refused all efforts by Senior and Junior to assist and be a part of the family.

At the end of his life my father expressed a few regrets. One was that he had ever left east TN. Yep, I get that one. Another was that he should have stayed with ALCOA through their rapid growth as he would have eventually been able to do what he wanted with his career there. Yep, a lot of our friends and neighbors had good careers there. The other was questioning what would have happened had he come back to work with Elk River instead of staying in the Midwest to finish his career. Thompson’s Elk River Resources flourished while the Armco steel mill where he worked for 36 years went downhill and sold out.

Forks in the road type stuff. I could have been tactful and nice. Nah. I told him he messed up, but it was OK because I was his son as a result. He laughed and agreed with me. Those are the type decisions we all face at various times in our lives. Water under the bridge.

The Thompson moral of the story is clear. Persevere through tough times. Do the right things and take advantage of opportunities. Make money the right way and then give it away along with your time to those who could use a helping hand. It’s a Christian principle that you will never out give God. The world is a better place because of Coal Country Heroes like the B. Rays and their families. The lesson…

Be blessed and do something like Mamaw, the B. Ray’s, or Andrea wherever you are and whatever your situation.

Next up we will arrive at our Coal Country destination before beginning the next series.

Back In My Day: Nothing New Under The Sun – Another Great American Traitorous Deception

So, like me, most of you probably grew up thinking that getting a decent education to whatever level you could attain would lead to a job and eventually a career where you could succeed. For traditional families, that may have even meant no outside job for the wife and mother so that she could handle the household and child raising. This would lead to living the American dream of having a family, a home and at least one car in the driveway in an area of the country and around people you love. You thought you would be allowed to choose all of that and work toward your goals in a law abiding nation that would defend your freedoms worldwide based on its history and founding documents. Right?

Yeah, OK. What do you think now?

Time for the real world of today because the past, even if true, is being rewritten into a different narrative such that the youth and young adults in our country are being indoctrinated to provide for the mental midgets the slave masters need for the future they envision. Unless I missed it and based on your posts and comments, none of you have been asked to participate in that vision of the future. You would not be here if you had.

Why Is America Being Invaded?

That is a real question about factual events. I will not go into Q’s “infiltration” since we discuss that everyday. This will be about the open invasion.

I will use Globalist Cabal (GC) to identify the slave masters going forward. GC meets regularly in open and clandestine ways to plan and implement how they want things to go in this world. There are divisions within, they do not always agree with each other. Witness WEF versus BRICS currently. Which may be staged or real, that is yet to be determined in my opinion. For example, the Clintons have played in both camps historically depending on the desires of their slave masters. One thing of which they all universally agree, you are nothing but livestock or even feedstock.

The independent thinking patriotic American is no longer valued by the GC as the country has become settled and defined over the years. The only time they are dialed up now is for Neocon generated wars. Remember that most all of the other major civilizations of the world have been in existence for a thousand years or more with relatively minor alterations in the grand scope of things. Everything for well over 100 years in this country has involved a systematic deprogramming of one set of independent values to be replaced by another set of dependent values on what the GC wants them to be. To accomplish this they need cooperation from sometimes competing stakeholders. The stakeholder leaders are not nice people and they use sheeple within their orgs and movements to accomplish their goals while jockeying for position within the GC’s overall reach. As example of this are the Masons of which I have familiarity through observations of immediate family and friends. There are numerous others.

At this point I will stop with the big picture. It’s time to focus on current examples of the subject of the story.

On The Ground

If one were to devise a scheme to depop and injure the current livestock, er, I mean workforce of America; one might want to replace the workforce in advance of the current one’s removal. Recruit the replacements, relocate them, train them, hire and put them to work while encouraging their proliferation like rabbits prior to getting rid of the previous bunch. Right? It makes little sense to kill off the old workforce before you are ready to employ the new. The GC is not stupid, they are devious and intelligent.

Their long term plan stretches into millennium, not centuries. Which on its surface is weird since they will individually be dead for quite some time before its full fruition. Well, unless they believe they are the descendants of the ancient fallen divine council found in Genesis. But we will again save that for another day.

The incoming labor workforce participants are less costly and more compliant by virtue of their non-resident immigration status. One might even focus on states of entry and domicile where one might be able to buy their way through the openly corrupt doors of politics, government and law enforcement. Sanctuary cities anyone? But not only in those places as they are just the bright shiny objects. What about in the county next door even in red states. There are relocation meccas for the future workforce everywhere. I am aware of two areas of concentration in communities within a one hour drive of the deeply red Knoxville, TN’s MSA. The traffickers are using the highways and even airports daily for their distribution with the assistance of the GC controlled elected officials, mostly RINOs, and corrupted law enforcement agencies.

Do you now see just how pizzed the GC was at PDT? This is just one area in which he pizzed them off, especially the Uniparty’s RINOs. As an example, now when we MAGA types see an occasional strange GOP member vote on a bill that is in direct opposition to MAGA purposes, we know who they really are because that strange vote is not meant to confuse the black hats. That bunch already knows their team members. Conversely we should never believe the reverse is true either. Manchin is up on deck for the GOP? Nope.

I will now focus on one industry/business endeavor where I live as a labor livestock example.

There is a large, regional dry wall/painting company in our area that has been around for several decades that primarily does commercial and industrial jobs. They employ legals and illegals, the later of which magically have documents that seem to support their legal existence on American soil that magically are produced by sources connected to those previously described communities into which they are magically transported via the interstate system under the cover of darkness to rental homes and apartments in designated enclaves.

When a legitimate raid occurs like happened under PDT’s watch in one such enclave, a large bunch of them were arrested at a meat packing plant operation, processed through the judicial system and most were subsequently deported. Some self deported right after they made bond. Which meant the family members who arrived here during their employment also self deported along with other unrelated illegals who were spooked. They did not want to be doxed so as not to be able to return when conditions on the ground were more favorable.

What does that tell us? One, that they can be identified and deported. Two, their open existence and usage means local authorities and businesses know they are there and what their status is. Three, the same local authorities and businesses participate in the criminal enterprise of violating the law with impunity unless a law abiding agency intervenes. Four, the same entities are screwing over the taxpayers, their friends and neighbors, in their areas and the country in general because the illegals send their kids to the public schools for free and the hospitals end up eating the cost of their visits. Five, most pay zero taxes and much of their incomes are sent to other countries. Six, they know they will be able to come back under different aliases in the future. I could go on, but you know already. Again, this is in deeply red, MAGA east TN.

That stops with no access to jobs. When there is no money available to them, there will be next to no illegals. It’s not enough for Soros and others to pay them bucks up front to arrive. They have to know they can make money once they get here.

Such a simple, intentionally ignored concept. Follow the money – again.

The dry wall company in question employs these people by the dozens. I know because of my past occupation as a small business financier. I also know for this particular business because the remodeling contractors I use for our home projects were former employees for about 20 years and one was a crew supervisor for them. They left and went into business for themselves using no such labor of that type. They know exactly how it works because they worked with them on the jobs for 20 years. I repeat for the third time – 20 years. If they have known for 20 years, how many actual years has this been going on in states such as California and Texas?

There are simply not enough American citizens locally willing to work to take the jobs this company has open. We can debate why, which primarily is because of the lack of focus on the trades for employment and the illegal drug usage of potential citizen workers in my opinion. No, let’s not debate it. Why do you think the drug culture was introduced over 60 years ago? Why do you think useless college mills were introduced? You know the answers if you are willing to accept that the plan was implemented long ago and is amended much like the white hats do when conditions on the ground merit it.

What is important is that the legal and illegal invader immigrants want to work as subs – as contractors – not as employees. You might assume that is because of their immigration status and be only partially correct.

The primary reason is money. If their status is legal and they work as employees, they are subject to employment laws relating to the collection of FICA/Medicare/Federal Income taxes and so on. They are also subject to other employment laws relating to their hiring, paid benefits and overtime. That means their hiring at all is more protracted and the money in their pockets is much less. The employer also has to match some of the contributions and gets less productivity for the same money. Neither party wins the way they desire.

The invaders’ motivations for working the jobs are not the same as American citizens would be.

Contractors are not subject to overtime laws. Reporting of income for contractors (1099) is through federal estimated tax payments. Our resident CPA and tax attorney experts can take over from here if they choose. The legals and illegals generally want to stay as contractors and do not collect overtime pay. It is hard to prove they are actually employees as they bounce from job to job and work for other companies occasionally. They also know how to be less visible.

They are technically paid based on a daily or job fee charge. They willingly work 6 or 7 days a week for as long as the company wants them on the jobs. In so doing the company gets more done quicker on each job for the same or less cost compared to using employees. They are generally hard workers who are or become competent at their jobs. They know they have to be to continue to be used, which keeps them here in America while sending money back home. They generally live stacked in rental housing with mattresses on the floor unless they have moved up to crew supervisor and employee status. Their kids go to public schools and when sick they all go to local hospitals who are forced by law to take them in. The citizen tax payers foot the bills. This story is not about stereotyping, this is factually how it is in the enclaves and with employers. I have seen it. A good friend and a close relative who are in law enforcement deal with it regularly.

The legit, legal ones will pay some federal and state taxes where applicable to stay legal. They may even eventually become part of the fabric of American society and choose to become citizens. The others will self deport before found and return later with a new ID. That type does not pay estimated taxes. They make sure they are gone before being traced.

In blue and swing states a large number of them vote whether that actually vote or not.

If the money were to dry up, they would self deport as they always have and stay that way. The ones who are legit come in through the front door to become a part of us. The others are takers who would rather have stayed home, but needed the work and cash.

The economy has continued down this path for a very long time. Clamping down on the employers and users of their services and the jobs that draw them here will be effective in encouraging them to stay home or self deport. It’s all about the money. PDT proved how to handle this, but the Uniparty and GC were opposed.

My point is the system is what keeps them here. It slowly but surely destroys the previous livestock and replaces it. This system is operated illegally by many of those in control including sheriffs who patriots are ironically asking to do things to protect the vote.

Sorry, protecting the vote is not going to happen as it could unless there is a massive turnover of sheriffs in this country. Many who identify even as GOP are complicit, co-conspirators in the criminal enterprise. The very second they look the other way and/or refuse to investigate or refer a case to the appropriate agency they become criminals with the criminals. So, if you have an enclave of suspected illegals nearby that you and other citizens know about, you can bet law enforcement already knows of their existence and are allowing it to exist. Usually seemingly legit business people are behind it. Many sit on city councils, are mayors, on school boards and are county execs. You know, the people that so many neighbors respect, that go to church, that support the schools, etc. The problem is there are precious few law enforcement agencies and judges who will administer the law as written because the government and politicians work against them. So these leaders ride under the cover of being upstanding citizens because their family members and neighbors do not call them out on it.

The participant employers may well be personally conflicted MAGA, leftist clowns, or just apolitical narcissistic A-holes. They are using the system to achieve their goals. All of it is an unsustainable model that will continue to help push our descent into third world status without patriots rising up and asserting control. Barring that we will be facing…

Continental Citizenship

If one were to assume that the GC plan involves the assimilation of all people in North America, or whoever makes it into North America, into one citizenship or rights to same; everything begins to make more sense. It fits the GC method of operation around the world. You know, like Syrians and ME refuges flooding Europe. What other reasoning makes sense for illiterate Muslim men to “escape” to old world European countries who then commit cultural and physical suicide. Which is a done deal in most Euro countries.

In America, ask yourself why the USMCA trade pact was not undercut and circumvented when Brandon walked into the oval office? Why did Pelosi and Schumer backhand approve it with PDT by just negotiating for some more pocket change when it was happening? What better early step could there be than to establish a trade pact that all of North America agreed to as part of the foundation for continental citizenship. Look at what is already happening in America to our rights and the throttling of energy combined with the totalitarianism of Canada and attempts of same here. Mexico was already a centrally controlled mess who wanted a bigger say in how it is all run. They obviously will use narco terrorism and illegal invader tactics to further their cause.

I am not saying that was PDT’s intention with USMCA replacing Ross Perot’s predicted Giant Sucking Sound NAFTA. The opposite is true. What I am saying is the GC did not fight it because they knew they could turn it for their benefit.

Why pay American citizens higher compensation packages when you can pay continental citizens to travel to areas of need and get as much productivity for less cost? Simply begin the process of injuring and depopulating the higher cost livestock and replace with lower cost, productive, less patriotic American versions. This is especially more important with the 60+ year old feedstock crowd (their view). If social net programs are going to be underwater due to stealing the locked box 😂 contributions to balance the federal budgets for decades, then you need to reduce the participants in them significantly. Along comes the handy dandy pandemics. That way a good portion of the social net payroll contributions from workers can flow straight to the federal budget needs and not be paid out to those pesky older folks.

But where it is really hitting is in the most productive adult age groups. More deaths, more diseases, more injuries, less babies. A major reduction in payroll costs are recognized as they are replaced by the new livestock.

Replacement Scabs

Notice the ” fight” in Congress almost every year over visa quotas for tech industries? Same deal, just using white collar workers. Why invest into and pay for Americans with all those predetermined American values and costs when you can contract the Asian Indians, Pakis, etc. for less to go with similar ballpark level productivity? Long term it makes sense for many globalist business leaders in their search for even larger profits once they bridge the language and culture gaps.

Will it really matter that these immigrants obtain their legal status from Canada or Mexico if there is continental citizenship? They will be free to travel anywhere within. What will happen in Canada and Mexico, will happen here.

Let’s go with a real world example. Thirty years ago an influx began of Asian Indian Patel’s into America. One of the approved occupations for their immigration from their native country as well as into ours was in lodging. Just because your name is Patel it does not mean you have blood family ties since they have a caste system. The name represents a type of people and who their predecessors were. The small business banking industry in which I worked became very involved in the financing of their expansion in the lodging industry. The SBA and government knew what they were doing to generate capital that was sufficient to obtain loan approvals to buy or build properties. They told us how to facilitate it. The Patel clan now own around 25% of all American lodging facilities.

As it applied to my small business finance industry; Asian Indians operated in clans (other terms available to use) like many other eastern people groupings. Within a clan there would be the clan’s central banker who was a “cousin” of one or more of the many clan (family) members who wanted to buy or build lodging properties. This person was the provider of the owner equity required to be injected by the owner/borrower into each project. The proposed owner(s) then injected this borrowed cash equity from the central banker “cousin” representing it as his/their own, usually through gifting. This allowed the project financing to proceed. A letter would be provided from the clan banker to the owner if needed that stated the funds were a gift to make it appear the equity was a clean injection, which met regulatory requirements. In reality, the clan banker kept books just like the mafia and the property owner would pay it all back with interest, usually in cash or in kind, so that other clan (family) members would have access to funds when they needed them. The owner/borrower would execute a second mortgage document with the clan banker with the cash exchange. The clan banker would hold the filing of those related documents until/if needed, or wait a year or two after the purchase/construction so as not to draw attention. The goal of many of the business property owners over time was to become a clan banker in the same manner.

This is why the owner’s wife and kids usually all worked in the lodging operation while the family lived onsite to reduce costs and increase funds to repay the clan banker as quickly as possible.

How do I know this? My business banking operation as well as past employers handled the financing of a large number of these type projects around the country for the better part of a decade. A few of the owners became personal friends and over time filled me in. One is a clan banker in our area now. Not all of them have Patel as their last name anymore. Payments from clan family borrowers are made monthly via travel to the clan banker so that the “cousin” can review the financial progress of the “family” member in the business. It is deadly serious to them that the business be successful.

All of it was legal and passed regulatory scrutiny if handled in the proper manner. Now multiply this complicity across a broad spectrum of industries. The face of America changes, the new livestock are put to work who are easier to manipulate. So when Wolf tells you something about his industry relating to the Chi-coms, pay attention and know that it is true.

Cash

Did you catch that with the Patel clans – cash repayment? We have now arrived at the bottom line. In the above lodging example, the owners of the average franchised lodging property (Hampton, Holiday Inn, Days Inn, Quality Inn, etc.) will skim some cash off the top. My best estimate is 10-20% depending on individual situations. With independents it is far greater. One such owner told me he reported about a third of his total revenues since it was a cash heavy location. The operational systems of franchised locations are making it much more difficult to skim. The skimming will happen most with other non-room related cash expenditures from vending, apparel, meals, etc.

That cash then goes to the clan central banker if the equity funds plus interest have not yet been repaid. It is supplemented with after tax income as needed. At times the clan banker may direct the payments to be made to other “family” members to avoid it running through his accounts.

It’s a type of money laundering. Small potatoes compared to what Brandon, the Clinton’s, Soetoro, Pelosi and crew have been doing for many years. It’s also highly successful as the participants will work their tails off to ensure the business is successful.

Now enter the IRS with its beefed up presence. Its purpose is not only for increased governmental revenues from designating contractors as employees, or to attack MAGA operations as they did the Tea Party, or for any number of other applications.

It’s about the cash. They want its use gone. If they can do that it is a huge move toward the one world economy, one world currency, one world government, etc. This is a step on the NWO ladder.

The very people they have brought in as the new livestock are the people they are going to screw over the most because they do not have the American spirit and sense of justice. They generally are compliant sheeple. Once here and continental citizenship arrives, they will have nowhere to run.

Cash is still legit, legal tender and helps to keep us free from tyranny even if it is sometimes used to avoid taxation and circumvent archaic and corrupt banking regulations .

We do not need to lose cash. It is vital to our freedom and liberty. We need to lose taxes and regulations that take it away. Which can happen if PDT and MAGA patriots win the war.

The GC needs the 87 K armed IRS brown shirts to go after the cash along with the people and businesses that deal in it. That MAGA organizations are harmed in their normal endeavors in the process is just a side benefit to the GC. Never forget that the Dems threw in full for them and that the RINO’s knew they would before voting began. They are in on it. This will never go away until We the People assert control over our country as provided in the Constitution.

It is always a show, a planned event. The enemies of the state and We the People have been identified yet once again.

Back In My Day: Coal Country Heros – The Blue Side of the Mountain

Time to get back to Coal Country before I lose momentum on the story. This is a longer slog because it pushes along the personal stage setting for future connections.

You can tell how difficult life was for Loretta as the coal miner’s daughter, which sounded somewhat like the life of Dolly and my wife in her BIMD story as well as my father’s family as described in the previous BIMD: Coal Country Heroes – Music Edition.

Even considering those hardships, life on my mother’s side of the family was more difficult. It went on to strongly affect her mental health all of her life as a manic depressive (bipolar) with episodes of schizophrenia. It worsened as she aged and was very noticeable to the public. In her presence it was abuse, a verbal onslaught that never seem to end. She could switch her moods on and off at will in a devious way. She actually believed she was smarter than everybody else around her and that they would never catch that she was insulting or manipulating them. She was physically abusive to my sister and I well beyond normal childhood discipline because our father stayed at work 60 hours per week, so his time at home would be minimal. I shut her abuse down when I became a teenager and had grown more into a man. I had enough of her insanity.

Mother refused to seek treatment and believed others were at the root of her problems. She was sure she even knew more than her doctors and refused treatment for lumps in her breasts. At least until she became so ill and in pain that a double mastectomy was needed. The same situation happened again later that led to a full hysterectomy. But it was everybody else’s fault and she let us all know. An intervention should have occurred by the adults and our father, but didn’t. Even her own mother and sisters could not stand to be around her or talk to her on the phone.

She believed in the occult, held seances with a crazy neice who led them, believed in astrology with her whole being and stereotyped everybody by their signs, delved deep into her Eastern Star background without actually participating with the other members in in the org – all while claiming to be a Christian.

Call it being demon possessed or just Looney Tunes.

She tried opening a beauty shop. Failed in two months. She tried being a real estate agent. Sold one house in about 20 years of doing it.

As a result of her mental illness, life as her husband and child was very difficult. However, when I looked at what she had to live through the first 20 years of her life, it would soften my reactions to her. She was damaged goods. Her neurotransmitters were obviously imbalanced and combined with high stress and environmental factors growing up in a nasty place it led to a lifelong tension and misery that only worsened as she aged until she passed. She was estranged from almost everybody up to the point of her passing away.

She grew up in Lee County, VA in the small coal mining camp town of St. Charles. The town peaked in population size in the 1930s and sits at about 150 people now. Poverty stricken is probably the best wording to describe it then and now, despite the presence of some segment of good, honest people.

Which leads to an anger I have in my heart. Knowing that so many other sad lives and living situations exist throughout our country, our politicians are still quite proud to send tens of billions of dollars to a nation controlled by nazis who money launder, provide sanctuary for criminals and commit bioweapon development and then release it upon humanity. They open the floodgates for illegal invaders to stroll in and around our neighborhoods without repercussions and syphon off resources. Instead they could use the funds to help fellow citizens, to provide hope for a better future.

But that would mean having to actually care about their fellow American citizens and not just talk about it at election time while personally getting rich. Which they don’t. Just lip service day in and day out while sheeple keep bleating their approval. Sickening.

So, maybe there’s another way to get it done anyway, short of revolution. Perhaps doing it through private enterprise while simultaneously cleaning up our political and governmental systems would work. They are not mutually exclusive concepts. However, they do require long term commitments with consistent application. We will discuss this with an example in the last section of this story.

Where The Sun Doesn’t Shine

My mother was the middle child of three daughters and her father was a coal miner and part time Church of Christ preacher. One cold winter night he got word that his father in east TN had a serious heart attack. He left Virginia alone and headed across the mountain in the old family car in a snow storm. He never made it. He died in a single car crash at 33 years of age in 1936. My mother was 6 years old. She had sisters who were 10 and 1 year old with a now widowed, 31 year old mother who had a small beauty shop and apartment rented over an old grocery and general store downtown by the train tracks that ran through the little town.

The town they lived in was where many miners came on weekends to let off steam and blow their paychecks. What happened there was frequently really bad and ugly. It definitely was not a place you would choose to raise three young girls as a widow in the mid-late 1930’s of the Great Depression era with the winds of war in the air.

I still remember the pock marks on the exterior downtown building walls made from bullets that remained that way for decades after the town’s most active days of the 1920s to the 1950s. Bars, cafes, a small hotel, gambling halls, the union hall, and whore houses in addition to the mining company facilities and housing dominated the town back then. There was a small segment of locals who tried to bring order out of chaos and the Christian message from the town’s two active churches. My mother’s father had been such a person, but now he was gone. So my mother grew up in all that nasty mess in fear without a father.

The building that housed my grandmother’s apartment and beauty shop was located about 100 feet at most from the railroad tracks. The smell of the coal from the train yard combined with moisture of the valley on the blue side of the mountain permeated the air. A natural haze from the mountains along with smoke from coal fired fireplaces and furnaces, smoke from train engines, and the burning of trash seem to always hang in the air. Their building would shake as the big trains rolled through. Many times the town’s water supply did not work, which was smelly and rusty even when it did. There were wells with hand pumps and outhouses located in a few areas for residents to fill containers and relieve themselves. Electricity was sporadic at best. The cockroaches were big and many in that old building, which looked like it would explode into flames with a single lit match. It actually did later in the 1980s. To all that add the oppressive smell of a beauty salon and its chemicals from back in those days.

In its heydays in the 1930s
Actual photo of the train yard, mine headquarters, church and company housing. The store and beauty shop were to the left of the train depot. The depot burned down in the 1970s.
The old store today. The beauty shop and apartments were on the second floor of the bigger building.
Part of downtown St. Charles today with the infamous water department in the original small white frame building on the right.

I tried not to hate anything even as a kid, but I literally hated being there despite loving my grandmother. My greatest thrill for the weekend would be to stand on the back exterior stairwell near the tracks and throw rocks at the train cars loaded with coal. It helped me develop a good arm for baseball. Then I would head down to the graveled parking area of the train depot and downtown residents by the train yard tracks and look at my grandmother’s 1957 rusting Plymouth Belvedere that she promised would be mine one day. It kept me occupied I guess. No, the car died long before I reached 16 years old.

Example – hers was darker blue and rusting out.

That place was the true “blue side of the mountain.” But it was home to the locals who enjoyed the rural life of hunting, fishing and a little farming when they were not down in the dark hole working or in some related supporting occupation.

My step grandfather married my grandmother after he returned from service in the Army in WW II. He was a divorced coal miner with a son who lived with his mother in another town and a rough reputation that was probably well earned. He had a terrible relationship with his new step daughters. My grandmother was no saint either. She did whatever she felt she had to do to feed her 3 daughters and get them through school. She also taught them the trade and each became state licensed cosmetologists before marriage.

My step grandfather figured a way out of the mines in the late 1940s. He quit and bought a car that was suited to be a taxi. Since many residents in the area did not have transportation of their own and the passenger railroad and Greyhound bus service no longer stopped there, having a local taxi came in handy. He saved up some of the money he made since my grandmother was able to help pay most of the bills with her beauty shop revenue.

It was during this period of the late 1940s that my father and his parents moved to the St. Charles area to work for Stonega Coal Company. Their former employer in Tennessee had sold. One of the former partners had used the proceeds of the sale to buy Stonega. Papaw worked as an inspector and Dad was a surveyor. One day Dad met a pretty young lady in town who was 8 years younger than him (19). A year later they were married in a church in nearby Pennington Gap.

After the three girls married and moved away, my step grandfather was able to buy over 60 acres on the side of a steep hill in an even more remote area about 15 miles out of town that had electricity on the rural gravel road in front of his property. When that happened he seemed to mellow as a person. It took him several years to build a farm house on the land with the occasional help of a friend. lt was the place where he and my grandmother could eventually retire.

When we visited them I spent as much time there as possible to avoid being in the town. Shot my first rifle and squirrel hunted there as a kid with him. It would be common to find skinned rabbits and squirrels in old shoe boxes in the refrigerator. He taught me how to cook squirrel in red eye gravy as a young boy. It was a cooking lesson I chose to quickly forget.

Unfortunately, it would also be the place where he later committed suicide when he was nearly fully blind at around 70 years of age. He knew he could no longer care for my grandmother at the farm once he could no longer see and his pride would not allow that to happen. He waited until she went into town with a friend one day. She later sold the farm and the beauty shop and moved to a nearby town to be near friends and extended family who would check on her well being daily as she lived out her remaining days.

From Here to There

While I was growing up and visiting that Lee County area as a youth, there was a young man about 10-11 years older than me that was graduating from a high school in the nearby Rose Hill community. Even though he was from Rose Hill from birth, the young man had grown up moving from one coal mining camp town to another his entire life. His father was a coal mine construction worker with the nickname of Spike. He was married to a mountain woman by the name of Maude. They would move with the rest of the crew from one job to another, but they kept their small farm in Rose Hill. By the time the young man graduated back in his native Rose Hill, he had attended 13 different schools during his life.

His father’s construction speciality was in building and rebuilding coal mine tipples. These were the facilities that handled the transfer of coal to the rail cars. Below are images of tipples from around the country.

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Coal_mining_tipples_in_the_United_States

You may have already figured out where this is going. The young man’s father worked on tipples at mines where my grandfather was superintendent or inspector, and my father was a surveyor, throughout the region. This means they probably met or worked together as both my father and grandfather would have been involved in the rebuilds in their roles. The young man’s father would also have worked in the area of Loretta Lynn’s family. Which probably also meant Levon Helm visited a sampling of those mines with rebuilt tipples while preparing for his role in Coal Miner’s Daughter. Even the father’s first job building a tipple was in the town that was the subject of the Patty Loveless song from the last story – Harlan, KY.

The young man was very intelligent, athletic and had a charismatic personality. He was a natural leader. He left Rose Hill and went to college at nearby Lincoln Memorial University, the same school my father attended before the war. It was close and more affordable. He played basketball and baseball there while working toward a Biology degree to become a veterinarian. He passed the Board tests and was able to enroll at the University of Georgia vet school. A year and a half later he was married and broke. He changed course and became a pharmaceutical rep. His plan was to work for a time and then switch to humans instead of animals and go to a medical school.

At this point I want the following interview to take over the background of what happened in his life in his own words. The man’s name is Autry “Pete” DeBusk. The interviewer is the former Tennessee Supreme Court Chief Justice, Dolly Parton protector in high school, and classmate of my wife – Gary Wade. Who is also now a dean in LMU’s Duncan School of Law since retiring from the bench.

Short direct answers to direct questions.

Yep – it happened again didn’t it? You will read more about the highlights Pete wants to share of his life in that interview. Which is an important point. Pete always controls the narrative relating to himself, his family, his businesses, and now, the university he leads.

Pete’s primary company is DeRoyal Industries. The family holds a 100% ownership interest. It is one of the premiere medical supply companies in the world. His son, Brian, runs it as CEO today with Pete remaining on the Board as Chairman. He and/or the company hold over 100 patents. It employs over 2000 people, most of whom are in the manufacturing facilities in east TN. If you have ever had orthopedic surgery, most likely the surgical team used some DeRoyal products. They provide many other medically related product lines as well. The link to the company’s information is below.

https://www.deroyal.com

I have only met Pete briefly at the company’s main office on one occasion back in the mid 1980s. However, his CFO of over a dozen years is a friend and former golfing buddy who was a member of our same small rural church for 30 years. When he left DeRoyal to go into his private CPA practice, he retained Pete as a client along with several other wealthy local business owners. He confirmed that what you see of Pete is exactly who he is. Professional, hard working, focused and all business with no desire to release any personal details about his or his family’s lives. The code of silence extends to employees with the work product and operations. Only Pete and his son deal with company public relations of importance.

Pete and the company have charitable organizations they support. They just generally stay out of public view personally in their support. However, he is openly proud to promote he and his wife’s huge mansion in north Knoxville as well as his role as Chairman of Lincoln Memorial University. His home is in the link below. Befitting his background, he chose to buy the large residential tract of property in a middle class, developed area of north Knoxville, not far from company headquarters and manufacturing. It is also on the side of the city that provides the closest commute to LMU. Which illustrates perfectly in my opinion, that running with society and elites is not anything he is interested in doing. If that were the case, he would have built in the more affluent west Knoxville and Farragut areas to be more near that scene. But he does like nice things.

https://www.wbir.com/article/life/home-garden/the-debusk-mansion-biggest-house-in-knox-county-has-48-rooms-with-a-historic-harp-and-chess-set-of-gold-and-silver/51-d8099899-ce99-406d-989f-38397391ef80

The Lincoln Memorial University story has radically changed the face of higher education in our region. The stated goal of becoming a 6-7000 student enrollment private school with a Coal Country main campus location and a student base with Duke University level excellence is challenging. However, when Pete jumped in it was with the understanding that it had to be run his way as a business and for it to fit the needs of the people of the region at a cost they could afford. Pete and his circle of influence are putting great wealth and knowledge to work to endow LMU and expand into graduate programs one would expect only at bigger, state supported schools. They have added numerous doctorate programs in fields such as Osteopathic Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Physical Therapy, Jurisprudence (Law), and soon, Dental. All of which have been desperately needed to serve the residents in Coal Country and beyond.

https://www.lmunet.edu

My father would not recognize the place now. Pete along with his talented Board, teaching professionals and administration are taking it to the people for the people. Many of the programs are located in Knoxville and other area communities.

A close friend’s son recently completed law school there and passed the Bar Exam in his first sitting. He could not afford to go to the University of Tennessee for his undergrad degree or law school. However, LMU was affordable while using student loans.

One more Goober Gump related observation I learned this week. My wife has a highly respected oral surgeon she adores. She hates dental work, but loves him. Wants me to be more like him. He pets her and is nicer. 😀 He learned from others that my wife grew up with Dolly. So when she sees him for an implant or follow-up, he sings her a Dolly song because he has always been a big fan. It’s almost embarrassing to watch and hear. Cringeworthy, but she loves it.

So, I saw my own dentist this week who is a close friend and referring associate of the oral surgeon. Guess who in this area of well over a million residents is going to be the senior teaching professional for the new LMU Dental School? Yep. The singing oral surgeon and he will be outstanding at it. Pete and his Board have hired a winner just like they did with former Chief Justice Gary Wade. It’s not surprising as Pete loves to win.

Conclusion

I have completely left politics and religion out of Pete’s story up to this point because I do not know with certainty. I suspect Pete is generally a GOP supporter who seeks balance. He has openly supported the current Knoxville based GOP HR elected official, Tim Burchett, throughout his political stops. He has been very close to the GOP Duncan family that held the region’s HR job previously for decades as demonstrated by naming LMU’s law school after John J. Duncan, Jr. He is obviously close to southern Democrat, Gary Wade, and comes from an area that tends to be strongly conservative GOP. His actions reflect his understanding and belief in the Golden Rule.

Some people talk a good game and never quite deliver when it comes to helping others. Still others soak up the accolades and always need a presser to pat themselves on the back. That would not be Pete. He’s more about actual achievement and teaching others to reach for the real American Dream through their actions. That’s the dream where you work hard and smart to build a future. Then in return you send the elevator down to lift up the folks who helped you or are in need of a hand. His competitive spirit will not allow him to fail and it is infectious.

That’s the other way to get it done as a nation in my opinion. Do not trust government and politics to make things happen. You make it happen and use them if they will help. If they refuse or work against you, make them irrelevant and work to bring in better elected officials who will do the right things. Nobody said it would be easy, it’s actually dirty, hard, and thankless like working in a coal mine.

In scripture it is clear God blesses those type efforts because of the honorable intentions of doing unto others what you would have them do unto you as stated in Matt. 7:12 and Luke 6:31. You can always tell when somebody is sincere in their charity efforts. The benefit to the benefactor will be in seeing others succeed, not the personal gain.

Pete did not want folks from his region to endure living like he, his family and the folks around him had to live when he was growing up. He wanted them to have opportunity through education and careers if they were willing to work. Along the way he undoubtedly became a billionaire and has that prideful air about him. But that was not what drove him. What moved him was to provide medical products and education that could help others. That he does it well is what created the wealth that he now uses to continue to help others.

At 79, most folks are out of ideas and energy. Not Pete, he still has plans.

The Population Control Shot – Understanding the Peoples Climate Temple

In cases of religious mass suicide/homicide, such as Jonestown, Heaven’s Gate, and Aum Shinrikyo, it is very difficult to regain a humanitarian understanding of the key participants after the infamy of defining events sears the conscience and redefines reality.

Even more difficult, however, is the opposite – to BEGIN to think the unthinkable and speak the unspeakable, that we all seem to know is true, but which we can only comprehend in principle, not in reality.

It is almost impossible to leave the past where we could trust – and yet, we were warned about this.

Who are we taught to trust the most?
This will not be easy.
The END.
Q

You don’t understand “revolutionary suicide”. But you need to understand it – and soon.

Those who believe in “revolutionary suicide” for most of humanity as a “solution”, are acting on that belief, because “there’s no time”.

This message about “there’s no time” was not meant as much for you, as it was meant for the people with the pitchers of Koolaid, and the people with the guns, stationed around the perimeter of the compound.

Put on your seatbelts. The truth about what is going on is going to blow you away.

Those who first noticed and described the “religion of climate change” likely had no idea that they were literally correct, but they were. It’s a cult.

The Frankfurt Marxist experiment called “Peoples Temple” and its fateful concept of “revolutionary suicide” explains all aspects of the current deadly social experiment, from Green New Deal, to Great Reset, to the semi-failed population control shot, meant to transition us into integrated population control as part of [socialized] medicine.

The climate-conned progressives had a dream. That dream, being built on a stolen election, is already “pre-failing”, but not fast enough.

Something is Looming Geopolitically, and We Better Start Taking It Seriously

August 18, 2022 | Sundance | 1,297 Comments

I will tell you what I told Sundance.

We are dealing with a cult. As in the case of many cults, they are a group of well-meaning, good-intentioned people, who have a bit too much faith in their human leadership obsessed with human solutions, and not quite enough faith in God.

When the convincing argument met a pesky commandment, exceptions were made.

Now before you tell me I’m wrong, and that they’re all distinguishably and remarkably evil, unlike us, the good guys and better girls, take a minute to cool off and remember why your Bible said why we should not take too much pride in ourselves, my fellow sinner. Kurt Vonnegut turned the clarity of his PTSD-enhanced vision for our hypocrisy into a career. We could all use a bit of that vision.

Oh, there is evil mixed in – swirled into the goodness like poison until it’s tasteless – and that’s exactly why it’s hard to detect.

It’s easy to think of cults as purely evil and therefore incomprehensible, but it’s not a great way to comprehend their danger. It is when you examine their humanity, as we walk among them and smile, and they smile back with an equally human face, that you see WHERE and HOW the danger arises.

I have learned so much about God in following this story. Hopefully some of that EXTREMELY important part will help to freely convince you that you, too, need God – even if that God exists for you in the most abstract way possible – to keep you from falling into mental traps which, paradoxically, come from our human self-reliance and “realism”.

God is a weird idea that almost has to exist by emergent self-creation from our reality, like calculus does. Where does God come from? For that matter, where does math come from? What is the weird mathematics of infinity a subset of?

Simply believing there is more, and that it is not inherently against us, but for us, as demonstrated by our own existence, seems to be key to avoiding error. If you can accept that much of a Cartesian “God”, good. It is enough.

Ground yourself in God before you go on reading this. It is our lifeline back from diabolical error.

Why [Sometimes] Jones Was Right and We Were Wrong

I’m shocking you with that title of this section for a reason.

Jones was not right about everything, obviously. But he was right about enough, that if you can use that to begin to understand his motivations, and his correct thinking on some things, you can see where and how he and his followers were led astray.

This quality of being “right about too much, but misleading in the end” is VERY typical of communism, and Jones was, if you read Peoples Temple thinking, a communist of the Frankfurt School type. His Peoples Temple was a living experiment in resolving all the accused bugaboos of Western society – the “oppressions” – that critical theory challenged.

Jones saw unnecessary, systemic, racial problems and wanted to do something about them. Jones saw marginalization of women and felt it inherently wrong. Jones saw the collectivist aspects of earlier forms of Judaism and Christianity, and felt that they could not be ignored. Ironically, he did not see the power and possibility of the “greatest collective” – all of us living independently and harmoniously in a free and truthful world – but that is what made Jones perfect as a micro-reactor experiment for the creation of a very progressive “woke Christianity”. And that is exactly what he was. Woke Christianity, only 40 or 50 years ago.

Jones saw that American Christianity could be made more “social” – or socialist – and discovered that it actually worked, when judged by metrics of earthly success.

When I began to read some writings by a leftist sympathizer of Peoples Temple, based largely on the viewpoints of insiders and survivors, and she described my own deficient thinking about the People’s Temple correctly, and how I was part of the misunderstanding and minimizing thereof, I gained deep insight into not only the truly leftist nature of the Peoples Temple, which was clearly a fellow traveler of cultural Marxism, but also how seductive both critical theory is, and the Peoples Temple was. Even the analysis itself was seductive, in correctly describing the flaws of my own views of Jonestown. However, the devil is in the details, because sympathy for the people of Jonestown can easily whitewash the truth about bitter flaws in their collective, and collectivist, dream.

In the end, it’s Jesus versus Stalin. Stalin, sadly, beat Jesus in the world of Jim Jones.

Stalin will mislead you into demanding or committing harm of others for the good of the whole, whereas Jesus will lead you as an individual into sacrifice of self for the good of others.

It’s a subtle difference, but it makes all the difference in the bigger outcome.

To gain the same insights I got, you can beneficially read the same writings I did. Start here.

Not the least reason to read this, is that it reviews the FACTS of the history and the shocking, sad end of the Jonestown experiment.

Even more importantly, this reading exposes and explains strong parallels to the Climate Cult. It does so by exposing the thinking of Peoples Temple members from the inside. This thinking very obviously maps to the thinking of the Climate Cult.

Formation of the collective – mass formation psychosis – creates a world layered on this one, beautiful and addictive as hell, and soon to be enhanced by the “metaverse”. But threaten that world, or merely create the perception of threat, and the mass can be manipulated into remarkable behaviors.

Ah, the FURY that Malone’s utterance of “mass formation psychosis” provoked in the media.

THEY KNEW.

(Hat Tip Tonawanda)

To provide some contrast with the Jonestown collective’s broken view of itself, I am providing a short “outsider bibliography” on the Jonestown cult, which is differently broken, as you can see from the demonstrated preconceptions, psychological defenses, and capitalist myopias that the insider narrative points out. But be careful. Sympathy for the Jonestown victims, and understanding of them as good people much like us, can lead to sympathy for the devils that seduced them. Just because our devils hounded them, doesn’t mean that their devils didn’t destroy them.

Same goes for the Climate Cult.

If you ever had any sympathy for the Branch Davidians, you will get what I’m saying. It is much easier to see the evil in Cankles and her crew of nogoodniks in the Climate [Control] Cult, by having at least some sympathy for one of their victims – the flawed Christian cult of David Koresh. (Yeah, that gets complicated.)

Anyway, some comparisons. Here – let’s trivialize the victims!

OK, how about gritty truths wrapped in the final assessment of “paranoid”?

This next one is a rough gem – very anti-Jones, but exposes the dynamic of the suicidal closest layer of followers, who are willing to be homicidal to the greater outer layer – and THAT is exactly what applies to the Climate Cult.

LINK: https://www.history.com/news/jonestown-jim-jones-mass-murder-suicide

Now – I told you that you didn’t understand “revolutionary suicide” – so let’s fix that.

Revolutionary Suicide

What is revolutionary suicide? It is – at its core – simply taking the ultimate exit from an unjust society, instead of fighting against it. Here is Jim Jones in his own words:

We committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world.

Jim Jones, “Death Tape,” 1978

Looking beneath that statement, trying to understand what constitutes “the conditions of an inhumane world”, I believe that what we find is the failure of the Peoples Temple cult to navigate reality. Jim Jones tried everything he could, to make his utopian vision take hold in reality, but his vision ran into more and more conflicts with the real world outside his cult, until the legal and judicial systems had Jones in a state of constant challenge. Even fleeing America itself did not work. In Guyana, the conflicts grew, until legal actions against Jim Jones were imminent. Jones correctly realized that he had nowhere left to go, and thus could not maintain his vision of the Peoples Temple. Jones could not even flee to the Soviet Union – one of the options that was always on the group’s table of discussion. Jones knew that he was politically radioactive, and no longer useful to the Soviets.

“Revolutionary suicide” is the ultimate “take your bag of marbles and go home” move – but remember – THAT is also a perfect description of individual suicide.

As a number of individuals in the Jonestown cult felt the world crashing down upon them, with the increasing problems of the cult, some felt suicide was the answer. Jones was sorely tempted by this route.

I have to ask – was the Climate Cult moved ahead in its schedule by external forces? Ask the question, because it seems to me that the answer is yes. The very defects in their plan that allowed us to see it all, may have been the result of schedule changes forced by the Trump election.

Whether individuals or groups are hounded by their own perception of external criticism, or by actual hounding, it doesn’t matter – suicide can be the result. See January Sixth, as well.

The greatest moral problem with all group suicides, including “revolutionary suicide”, is that these deaths are not free of hounding or worse, this time internal, and themselves approach or even constitute murder. Hounding, tricking, and otherwise coercing the GROUP to fully participate is the reality of the act.

Innocent people who want to LIVE are forced to DIE.

Thus, there is a HUGE footprint of MURDER in “revolutionary suicide”. This is clear in the records of the Jonestown incident. A layer of “diehards” and “inner circle” were used to enforce the group decision, leaving only a few who managed to escape by using their wits.

Shades of the jab.

Most people do not want to commit suicide. Most religions teach against it. But not all, and I believe that the truest believers at the center of the Climate Cult are quite ready to kill and be killed for their goals.

If a CIA operative suggested “revolutionary suicide” to the Jonestown cult, it would not surprise me. Their collectivist nature was highly vulnerable to this form of exploitation. Indeed, the same may apply to other cult suicides.

Either way, whether spontaneous or provoked, the possibility of group error, including group entry into a suicidal choice, is a viral vulnerability of social beings.

So now, let’s apply this fully to the Climate Cult.

Revolutionary Climate Justice

It is my contention that the Climate Cultists who are knowingly behind the Population Control Shot are mostly recruited true believers, much like those closest to Jim Jones. This would be the most obedient layer. Beyond them, however, are many who believe most of the climate cult canon, but could not be counted on to obey morally contradictory orders such as murder or suicide.

So who took the shots? Did they all play “climate roulette”?

Doubly Vaxxed and Boosted

AND logic is your friend here. Some of the “knowing” likely virtue signaled to the climate goal by taking the statistically lethal depopulation shot – others less courageous and more cowardly rationalized their “need to survive for the sake of climate justice” and did not. Bill Clinton is a great example of the latter type of thinking – his view of actual obedience to feminism in men was that “exceptions need to be made for the leaders”.

Hypocrisy. It seems to be “baked in” in communism.

Either way, shot or no shot, the true-believing “there’s no time” climate cultists are, I am certain, committed to the group goal of “saving the world from climate destruction by acting now”.

You can see this in every OTHER hare-brained scheme they are rushing forward now. The “clot shot” was merely one avenue of “saving humanity”. The others are happening right now, as food and energy systems are being destroyed, both economically and physically.

Shades of Pol Pot. Who even the Vietnamese communists knew was wrong.

Yes. It’s all backwards. It’s all deluded. It’s all destructive.

They had to show us. And we are being shown.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) were joined by Democratic lawmakers from both the House and Senate on February 7, 2019, to introduce Green New Deal legislation.

Does this all seem a bit overwhelming? Having doubts? Is it just too much?

Here are two “public” explanations I have given for “higher credibility”. First on Steve Kirsch’s blog, then on Sundance’s post on The Burning Platform. These are the same explanation, only a bit softer and easier to digest.

Great article and statement of principled science.

People refuse to speak up about the nuttiness of it all, even though most know something is wrong, and many suspect that there is an intentional component.

I’ll spell it out. Somebody has to go first. I’m retired. I can’t lose a license or chair, or my pension (yet).

To me this was a fairly smart attempt to integrate top-decided and down-to-the-individual-tunable (see “bad batch phenomenon”) population control into medicine, and in fact a rather ingenious strategy, too. A vaccine – hero of a media-led crisis – unquestionable by the masses or the media – with a known dose-response mortality curve (see again “bad batch phenomenon”) that can in principle be dialed up to achieve ZPG, as long as denial of adverse events is enforced by holding all questions outside the Overton window. The dual nature (decrease BOTH longevity and fertility/productivity) is quite smart. It’s a bit “cinematic” and even “sci-fi”, but it worked pretty well due to human psychology.

The phony climate crisis (“there’s no time!”) was surely used to recruit many of the needed life scientists to carry it out or protect the plan. THAT was ingenious. Use an alleged crisis in one part of science to find unquestioning believers as recruits in a different part of science, who could “do something” about it.

Something very interesting here, is that this theory – which I find neatly explains all the “mistakes” people in charge have made – is crystal clear once you have “sympathy” for solving the population problem. Our leaders have encouraged desperation over the “climate crisis” in the susceptible population, and scoffing in the remainder – a very useful division for concealing the plan. The desperation messaging thus bounces off the very people who would have any inclination to look critically for such a plan or planners. Those people don’t understand the desperation of a scientist driven to “save humanity”, and thus would never bother to REALLY look for such a plan. It just seems too fantastic. One has to open up to the possibility that they might, in principle, be right, just to make the idea conceivable. But just try it. What if people REALLY BELIEVED we were going to all die in ten years, or some other typical “climate scare story”? Would you “join a global team out to save the planet”? Almost sounds like something people have been trained to do by our “entertrainment”.

So have sympathy for the devil – I mean the plan – or at least its motivation – the idea that people who really think we all will die if some are not sacrificed now – why then it all makes sense.

Now, as Steve points out, the numbers aren’t there yet on the shot, although I suspect that the long numbers on cardiac and immune deaths are more than we know yet. And beyond that, perhaps this is a bit like Hiroshima and Nagasaki – a THREAT to force us to get population under control by other means. I suspect they have a strong “Plan B” for us catching them. What is it?

I don’t like being brought to a negotiation at gunpoint, and having grabbed their gun, I’m a bit pissed. But nevertheless, here we are and it is now (and I know that what I’m selling smells like moonshine, but bear with me). Are they going to try something else, or are we going to talk about this reasonably? Judging from CDC falling back to the real science now, methinks the inevitable cover-up is going on. While I myself hang around with a crowd that screams “tribunals”, and look across the aisle at Democrats who would be the first to cry “amnesty for the climate do-gooders” (I suspect the plan counted on this), I think it does behoove us to make this stuff not able to happen again, as the most important solution. Whatever phony “lessons” come out of CDC, just ain’t gonna cut it. Human science and medicine have been damaged incredibly, but I think not irreparably, as I have faith in the truth winning in the end.

I know it all sounds fantastic, but go back over the “errors” people have made, driving toward “fair” universal deployment of the shot, and imagine that they were “trying to help”. Things start to make sense. But yes – it would be a bit cult-like, and it helps VERY much to read about the very lefty People’s Temple and “revolutionary suicide”, which is almost a model for this.

Good work, Sundance.

I will say this. These are NOT unforeseen consequences. They are “necessary consequences” in the eyes of the true-believing “climate cult”. A literal cult which was very intentionally created. Created to do exactly what it’s doing. And I have some new thinking on it that is difficult to speak just yet, but essential to understand.

I am now absolutely convinced that the “dumb vaccine” was a very intentional plan by these same people to achieve the same goal.

When people assert that the CIA was behind Jim Jones and Jonestown, or studied Jonestown – oh – they don’t know the half of it.

THIS is essential reading: https://jonestown.sdsu.edu/?page_id=29475

If you know anything about the Frankfurt school, their fingerprints are all over this lab experiment.

They were WAY ahead of us.

In the last couple of days, I have come to understand the relationship of Jones as a model for the Climate Cult. Even the race obsession and CRT figures into prepping this psychological attack on humanity. The weird racial and sexual psychology of that cult was a key feature, also present now.

There is a joke meme about Jonestown and Fauci, but ironically, the very communist followers of Jim Jones who survived have an excellent, critical theory-based, Frankfurt-school critique of how we, the capitalist dupes, joke about their “revolutionary suicide”, as they called it, and don’t take anything they did seriously.

They can describe us accurately. We need to describe THEM accurately. This is no longer a joke.

That mentality has been WEAPONIZED against not just America, but THE WORLD.

I’ll have more about this later today, in my “population control shot” series.

The point is, it all ties together. “They” – whoever “they” are at the top – have used a CULT they have created – to “downsize” and “disempower” humanity against its will, in defiance of all common sense.

It’s VERY culty behavior – the irrationality and schizoid behavior of the key participants (Pete Buttigieg and his SUV-to-show-bike stuff) is a feature, not a bug.

Hopefully those explanations have helped you formulate your own opinions – whether you now think I’m onto something, whether you just can’t buy any of this stuff, or something in between.

Either way – where do we go from here?

Reject Climate Insanity Completely

The world is being destroyed by foolish choices, based on insane “solutions” to BAD SCIENCE which was LOCKED IN BY MONEY.

But don’t worry – we have time.

Trump is right – we can “build back a third time” after their latest destruction, even if many lives are lost or worsened in the process.

It’s tough, but accepting bad elections has consequences. Both GOPe and RINOs need to suffer for their sins. Smart solutions will now take time, where rush jobs (like AGW) lead to HACK SOLUTIONS like Windows Me or the spike protein, take your pick.

I’m not in a rush – I think we can wait until we’re at the brink, so that everybody agrees – this is all nuts.

BUUUUUT – I do have a solution, of how to get to that brink of “all the sane people agree” much faster.

In many ways, I am going to back up Sundance’s approach.

FIRST, we (ourselves) need to quit pretending.

Quit Pretending

August 15, 2022 | Sundance | 1,107 Comments

Stated differently, SCREW THE VIRTUE SIGNALS. We can’t afford to politely agree with the CRAP any more. Let people KNOW that it’s crap, that you don’t agree with it, and that you will not vote for anybody who even puts up with the crap when THEY are faced with it.

The CRAP is destroying the world, and WE don’t go along with it.

I repeat. You need to stop virtue signaling to the mainstream narratives, and most importantly THE CLIMATE NARRATIVE, in any form.

It you want to know the ONE REASON why Trump was not “allowed” to be President, I can tell you with near certainty – it is because he REJECTS the “climate games” in their entirety.

Trump LOVES the environment, but he REJECTS the weird corporate “bad science” that was layered into it, with the absurd CO2-based climate change story. And so do I. I reject their bad science and even more their toxic workarounds that stem from the bad science.

[Note: I have watched “climate science” from the beginning, and I have NEVER seen science that convinced me of anthropogenic global warming climate change being real – much less a threat to humanity, even if it was real. Indeed, I see an incipient ice age as the far greater threat – and one that is EASILY dealt with by following the path we were on before SOMEBODY decided to downgrade humanity rather than upgrading our technology. ]

No. Just NO. We don’t put up with climate insanity (please call it that), nor do we put up with those who TOLERATE IT. Not just those who advocate it. Those who TOLERATE IT.

And THAT gets to the SECOND point.

This point bears on Sundance’s shrewd recognition of the “DeSantis problem”.

We need to goad all GOP candidates into the “WEF unacceptable zone”.

Why is DeSantis acceptable to the establishment Republicans? Is it because he will tolerate climate nuttiness? The ONE necessity for a nod from Davos?

Personally, I like DeSantis, but I see clearly that the other side is using him to derail Trump. They have a smart strategy there. Evil, but smart.

Well, one way to thwart that is for DeSantis to join Trump in denouncing the climate insanity in no uncertain terms. In terms that are so strong, they make him utterly unacceptable to WEF and the quislings in GOPe.

“It’s wrong. It’s a hoax. It’s destroying the planet. It has to stop.”

And then, to spread it, a little criticism of even the slightest climate belief as a RINO position should put the fear of God in Washington.

Oh, DeSantis’s RINO advisors will go through the ROOF, but tough times call for tough measures. Klaus Schwab, Larry Fink and the Rothschild entourage need to burn in anger at the rejection. And while we’re on Fink, ESG needs to DIE. Kill it, before it kills humanity.

Climate insanity is crap, and it needs to end. NOW.

This means that a lot of GOP need to feel the STING – the BURN – of rejection.

When they so much as NOD to the bullshit, they PAY WITH THE BASE.

Are we clear? GOOD.

BURN THEIR GOD, CLIMATE CHANGE, AT THE STAKE.

Final Thoughts

We have to grab the steering wheel. It’s that simple. We’re not going to kill anybody. We’re not going to have an “insurrection”. We’re going to demand that these assholes who have fucked everything up, stand down with their insanity and their corruption.

EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. DAY. You are going to have to make these people feel like CRAP for supporting INSANITY and causing HAVOC.

Get tough. It’s the only way forward. But you can do it.

Back In My Day: House of Haslam – Conclusion

When you get time and if you are interested in the subject of the Uniparty and The Club, I hope you will consider reading this HOH four part series. Please forgive my writing style and focus on the content and implications because stories like this one give us big clues.

That said, let’s finish this and move on. Time to Monday morning quarterback this puppy and put it to bed (H/T to Catturd). I want to start by asking an off-the-wall question of our resident numerologists, symbolism experts, and those skilled in family planning and development.

Why would all of the major members of the subject Haslam family each have THREE children?

Big Jim and Cynthia – Three: Jimmy, Ann, Bill

Natalie – Three Children from first marriage

Jimmy and Dee – Three: James (Jimmy adopted Dee’s son), Whitney and Cynthia

Ann and Steve – Three Children from Steve’s first marriage

Bill and Crissy – Three: Annie, Leigh, Will

Coincidence? Seems strange. What if one or more had gone off the rails and only had one or two? Would it have brought the whole family circus down or something?

Cynthia’s Death

This one is a whole lot more serious. Why no autopsy of Cynthia with a sudden, unexpected death at age 42 in the middle of the day? Big Jim and her family knew her father reportedly died of a heart condition in his 30s. Not having an autopsy started rumors, possibly unfounded. Why would Big Jim not want to know for sure about the cause of death of his wife and mother of his children since a similar condition may affect one or more of his children or anticipated grandchildren in the future? The rumors grew over time when two years after her death Big Jim married his long time friend, fellow UT classmate and former Miss Tennessee, Natalie. She had divorced her first husband a year after Cynthia’s death. The rumors quieted down two decades later when his daughter, Ann, was diagnosed and had surgery for an aorta dissection in a similar age bracket as her mother. Did Cynthia ever exhibit symptoms? Would Big Jim know if he was on the road as much as has been reported? Would he have insisted on her going to a cardiologist if symptoms occurred in front of him?

What if Cynthia had lived a normal, longer life? So much to question and unpack.

Ann was strongly impacted at age 18 by discovering her mother dead in the couple’s bed. She never really got her act together after that. She went to UT but did not finish. Did not marry Steve until she was well into her thirties. Family life had become more complicated with her trying to take over for her mom and Big Jim marrying Natalie with her three children to add to the family dynamics so soon. She discovered her personal aorta problem after marriage to Steve. Was it causing her problems all along?

More importantly, how would the children have turned out if Cynthia had lived? A reportedly grounded, kind, giving soul who took care of family and friends. In the public eye, but no socialite beauty like Natalie. Would Big Jim have been as aggressive in business nationwide with all of the galas, events and dinners? Would Jimmy have been more careful and considerate with his mom in his ear? Would Bill have gone to seminary and become a pastor as he planned, or, would he have even been involved with people who kindled the desire? Would Bill have ever started going to Young Life, which made such an impact on his life. Would the family have joined The Club, or, just been a regionally successful, pay it forward family in the local Club?

Natalie’s Divorce/Remarriage to Big Jim

Wow, that was quick. Apparently, Natalie’s first marriage had been on the rocks for several years. But it completely cratered quickly when Big Jim became available. Natalie was already a big thing in local high society and could handle herself well with powerful people.

What if Natalie had remained in her first marriage? How would things have gone for the children of both Big Jim and Natalie? What would have happened to Pilot? Natalie proved herself highly valuable in both the local and big Clubs.

Big Jim’s Early Career Choice and Financial Missteps

What if Big Jim had gone into the other career he considered upon his return from military service – marketing and advertising for radio and this new fangled thing being developed and sold called a television, which he thought was just a fad (his comments)? Would he have been as successful? What impact would it have on his family and their futures? What if Big Jim had adopted a slower, more measured expansion rate in the early years? What if Marathon, his supplier, had not agreed or been capable of stepping up and buying an interest in Pilot while also providing more money for expansion when he over expanded and the company finances tanked? Banks were reeling from the Ford/Carter years with sky rocketing interest rates. Money was tight for small businesses in particular.

To Big Jim and Marathon’s credit, they were loyal to each other from that first deal on. That’s the way it should work. There were periods when they did less business together based on individual circumstances, but each always stepped up for the other as the situation and opportunity presented itself.

Religion

Big Jim’s faith is old school. It’s there, just not discussed much in the media. But people know he is a believer and a benefactor. In the local Club, historic St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral is high on the list and apparently that may have been where they went based on a few media reports. We do know Big Jim did not ever drink alcohol or smoke per Jimmy.

But he deemed it OK to sell both to customers in the business. He just chose not to partake.

Jimmy does what Jimmy does. Who knows.

Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church has been the choice of Bill since his youth after his mom died. It has always been highly evangelical in approach, outreach and worship services. Bill became very active in Young Life as a teenager, an international Christ based organization. It had a profound effect on his faith journey. You can look it up to learn more. It has been effective over the decades in its outreach to all young people to bring the message of Christ in a more fun and relaxed environment. Bill is on the Board even today.

What if the rest of the family had gone the route of Bill? What if Bill had gone the route of the rest of his family?

Philanthropy

What would the University of Tennessee, its facilities, its athletic programs, and the many charities and community organizations who benefited greatly from the philanthropy of this family look like today if Big Jim and Pilot never happened to the scale it did?

Pilot Business Expansion

What if the bank President I worked for had not taken Pilot and Big Jim on as a customer such that he trusted them enough to make an out of policy financing package? It was a career limiting move if it had failed. What would Pilot have done from that point on? Between the efforts of Pilot and its primary competitor, TA, the travel and trucking industries were changed forever in North America. What if Marathon had not continued as a supplier with their buyout by Big Jim in 1988? What if Marathon had not reentered the picture in ownership later to push the expansion of travel centers such that the Flying J merger occurred? Would Buffett have ever been interested enough to make the move after Jimmy’s mess, which probably still would have happened with Jimmy being who Jimmy is and doing what Jimmy does.

Ross, Dee, and Jimmy

What if Ross had never left Knoxville to go to NY to learn the globalist television production business? What if Big Jim and Ross had never met and became friends and birds of a feather? What if Jimmy never went to see Ross about going into state politics that day? Would Dee and Jimmy have ever hooked up on their own, even with both families presenting opportunities to make it happen? What if Dee remained married to her first husband or had married somebody else first who was more compatible?

Informant/Whistleblower

The confidential informant for the FIB investigation is a guy named John Verble, although he had to sue to try to be recognized as a whistleblower, presumably to make some money since he was fired from Morgan Stanley afterwards for reported non-Pilot related violations of company policies. Verble had recorded conversations with former Pilot sales exec Greco who had left the company who knew about the rebate fraud. Greco was supposedly angry at having been passed up for a promotion and became concerned about it all.

It also appears MS did not want Verble revealing other incriminating stuff about them and other clients per Verble. Which he may have known before making the decision to go to FIB first about Pilot. Was he a bastion of integrity who just wanted to preserve truth, justice and the American Way with no other motives?

It was not long after Greco/Verble did their thing that another Pilot employee came forward about the fraud. The following articles give some good info:

https://www.cleveland.com/metro/2017/10/john_verble_the_snitch_who_hel.html

https://www.ttnews.com/articles/pilot-informant-seeks-whistleblower-status-supreme-court-rebate-fraud-scam

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2017/02/13/whistleblower-claims-pilot-flying-j-fraud-cheated-federal-government/97875164/

https://www.tennessean.com/story/news/crime/2015/02/23/whistleblower-pilot-investigation-files-lawsuit/23897511/

But, what if John Verble had remained in his previously chosen profession of 20+ years before becoming an investment advisor for MS? Why did he leave being a therapist and licensed marriage counselor with a doctorate in psychology from UT? He made a mid-life change to the investment career in his mid-late 40’s. Why? Again, why did he not go to HR at MS when he first learned of the fraud from Greco, why immediately contact FIB and agree to record future conversations? The situation seems really weird to have happened organically, does it not? One might even think Mr. Verble was created or otherwise turned into what he became for purposes we later see. Why would he (or anybody) risk a $350 K per year job at MS that he needed education, training and licensing to receive, to just chunk it all and turn FIB informant with no guarantees of anything other than being embroiled in a legal mess for years? Those type jobs with that much personal income do not grow on trees in the Knoxville, TN area. Did FIB have stuff on him concerning other MS clients that they used to compel him into the role to avoid personal prosecution, which he has managed to do despite MS’s allegations of improprieties?

What is that smell in here?

What if Jimmy and his gang of crooks had never been discovered? Greco states it had been going on since 2003. Why did the charges only relate to 2008-2013? Who are the feds protecting by limiting the dates of the scheme? Who was the Pilot outside accounting firm and why did they not suspect cooking of the books during their exams, or did they and looked the other way? Did they suffer consequences for “missing” this?

Better yet, what if the USPS decided to honestly investigate Verble’s charges of defrauding them with the rebate scheme? Why didn’t they?

As PDT might say, it’s nasty business, folks.

Berkshire

Again, how long had the Berkshire purchase of Pilot Flying J’s stock been in the works? Warren Buffett was a keynote speaker at UT’s College of Business as far back as 2003 that Pilot sponsored among others. Berkshire had purchased Knoxville based Clayton Homes along with their mortgage companies that same year. They are now the nation’s largest manufactured home company. If not before that point, Buffet would have spent time with founder Jim Clayton’s friend, Big Jim Haslam and family during the visit and beyond.

Would Berkshire’s planned purchase of Pilot ownership have influenced the USPS decision? Remember, Obama and Buffett are very close. Would FIB have been sent in to rattle Pilot’s cage to lower the future deal value for Barry’s super rich benefactor friend? Buffett and Berkshire study industry leaders for years and perhaps decades before pulling the trigger to do a deal. The Pilot purchase is a big dollar deal even for Berkshire. They will be reportedly borrowing $11 billion for the second PFJ stock purchase next year. Jimmy is already out as CEO and will be out as Chairman. With an 80% ownership position, Berkshire will have a restricted subsidiary in their holding company (control) with the Haslam family still being able to enjoy the 20% ownership position’s financial upside in the future. Deals like this don’t happen quickly. There is a lot of estate and tax planning that occurs beyond the business aspect. How much, if any, did Jimmy’s antics cost the family and other investors during the period in terms of monetary valuation?

Employee Attitudes/Morale

In one published survey with individual active employee responses I read recently, Pilot ranked at 3 out of 5 stars. Average. The interesting part was the vast majority in the survey ranked them 1 (poor) or 4 (good). Mundane work without much career upside in a stressful environment with long hours were the gist of the complaints. One of the top positives was that it was a good place to learn for the next job in their employment careers. Pay and benefits reflected the average rating, not great but OK.

Which is basically what I observed back in my day. I saw many people there under the age of 40 with very few happy faces. They were polite and professional, but seemed tightly wound and intimidated by management. I’m sure they would be called energetic and enthusiastic by Jimmy. Job turnover was high in many lower rung positions because of the lack of upward mobility.

So, what if the environment was more relaxed with stronger positional upside that would encourage people to make Pilot their career employment and increase productivity via good incentive programs that ensured integrity? Would they see employees willing to risk their futures and that of the company by doing stupid things like committing rebate fraud against their lifelines – the customers? Would the job hopping be less, meaning quality people stayed for longer periods adding to better productivity. What would that mean to customer satisfaction and the potential for fraud and corruption from within?

What if Big Jim Never Went to UT

Woah. Something like that could probably be asked of all of us. Pass. It hurts the brain.

Conclusion

I have provided a snapshot of American capitalism at work that led a family that I briefly had involvement with on their journey to the inner circle of Club membership. The patriarch is getting closer to meeting his maker after being a pioneer of sorts in his industry He parlayed his business prowess into political service for the RINO faction of the GOP. The eldest son achieved his dream of playing with the big boy owners of the NFL, stepping on whoever he needed to along the way and since. He is widely regarded by most sources as the first or second worst owner in the league with Dan Snyder of the Washington Football Team. The daughter is just happy to be there, she just loves being a Haslam (her words). Then there is the youngest son, conflicted for most of his life with his occupation, who spent his political capital as a NeverTrumper in a Trump MAGA state, creating a situation of having peaked at a relatively young age for politicians. He waits for a Bush type RINO Revival Train that may never come in his lifetime, despite the prep work the GOP provided to have him work his way into the oval office when it was his turn.

Does having great access to F U money and power make it worth the sacrifices of integrity and character you have to make to be accepted members into The Club? You decide. I personally passed on following that pathway several decades ago. Evidence of that is that I am a QTreeper.

Next Up

Less darkness, more light. Fun and butterflies. Until then…

Back In My Day: House of Haslam, Part 3 – Lose/Win, Win/Win, and (Highly) Suspicious Minds!

My hope is that you have invested time into the HOH series. I believe you will find it worth it starting today if you have questioned the commitment. I wanted to shorten this one. Impossible. It simply has too many nuggets to shorten.

There is a soothing peace one receives in his or her spirit when he or she is no longer chained to the expectations of others and the world. The black hats will still throw their spears at you. Friends and loved ones will still disappoint you on occasion. The bank account and gas tank may run low along with your patience. However, you know what you know and evil can no longer have access to your heart and soul. Your wisdom and discernment regarding what you see and experience grow rapidly.

At this point in life in the mid-90’s my personal rebuilding project had begun. I received confirmation quickly that my career choice was blessed as there was early success. Even back then I was doing what now is in vogue, working from a bedroom office at home, calling on prospects and referral sources at their places of business while taking them to lunch occasionally. Using an old school approach with personal service. My faith journey at church and at home began to evolve quickly.

Almost a year after I left my ill-fated job with the equipment dealer, our lives would change dramatically through a very difficult experience that proved to be priceless in value. We learned the Godly principle that our prayers are always answered, just not always as expected. This will be discussed in a future story with more Goober Gump adventures.

Let’s begin with: Are you aware you can commit a federal white collar crime, whether with intent or not, in such a way that it is difficult to prosecute in criminal court, or, can be sheltered by the alphabets in a legal and judicial way to make it appear difficult to prosecute? A constructed situation on both sides of justice, which they will then allow you to buy your way out of potential prosecution in a federal investigation. Sort of a federal pre-trial or even pre-charge intervention. Maybe you have heard about this or suspected it happened.

You are about to learn MOAR! I’ll try not to bore our attorney/legal expert Qtreepers on here who know far more about the specifics than I do. However, average folks may want to know the method exists and a summary of how it works with an example.

Guess which POTUS exponentially increased the usage of that negotiated settlement in civil court for criminal claims maneuver? There’s that name again – Slick. HW’s good buddy. Cranked it up in the mid-1990’s while causing raised eyebrows in the legal community; definition of “is” being what it “is” and all.

Guess which past AG paved the way for its higher usage going back to PRR and as AG for HW? Yeah, this guy…

Some of us PRR fans will remember B2’s impassioned defense of the use of pardons, which was highlighted in the Iran-Contra mess. He pushed them across the finish line later for HW. As far as the previously referenced negotiated settlement of potential charges or trial issue, in a largely scrubbed TV interview in discussion of the bad cops in the FBI who were exposed during the Mueller Investigation and FISA scandals, he stated that not all criminal actions of government employees should rise to the level of imprisonment (paraphrased from memory). He clearly indicated that bad cops like Comey, McCabe, etc. losing their jobs and possibly their pensions was probably enough unless they were proven to have committed more heinous crimes. What could be more heinous to America than committing treason with foreign nations and conspirators to frame a sitting POTUS? In essence B2 promotes softening the landing of the players with pardons and negotiated settlements for gotcha’s and caughtya’s regardless of intent. He set up a system that gives discretionary authority to DODGE and the judiciary.

At the same time he covers for this discretionary administration of justice principle he pushed across by lamenting and bashing the two scales of justice we see today.

We did, jackwad. They stole the elections and you knew they would before it happened.

Hypocrite. May not have been the mastermind, but he was the promoter and implementer of two scales of justice over a long period of time. B2’s a card carrying member of the inner circle of The Club who has been activated as needed. Sundance has stated rightly, he’s the Bondo.

We can even begin to see why PDT agreed to bring him in as AG to kill the corrupt Mueller farce, which would better protect those he hired and family members.

We can also see serious potential downside of these pre-trial/charge interventions with how they can be used to extort people not in or involved with The Club via false allegations and charges such that bad cops can rip them off for money that goes into the alphabets’ coffers. We can also see where it is used by those in power to achieve nefarious purposes with payback being escape from charges and trial if caught.

Which begs the question – where do the real intervention case settlement funds and the extorted money go after collection? I confess to not knowing the answer, but I am quite sure it does not go for the benefit of We the People.

We have now established the predicate for what happens next.

In addition to media reports and other personal experiences; the legal sources of my information about interventions were senior partners in the law firm of now deceased GOP Senator Howard Baker. He of Watergate, Senate Majority and Minority leader fame. For what it is worth, one of the senior partners was a business associate and a lifelong Democrat. That says something about the Uniparty for those paying attention.

Pilot’s Progress

As previously discussed, Pilot was flying even higher through the period. I will no longer bore you with a lot of operational detail, just will discuss key events in their history that are important for seeing how The Club works a bit better. The official Pilot Flying J corporate history is available for all to see on the web.

My personal involvement with the Haslam’s stopped at this point, however, what I learned from others in the local business and legal community continued. I learned I was not alone in my reformulation of opinions about Big Jim, Jimmy and others in the Haslam family’s circle of influence, which included many attorneys and business associates. At this point Big Jim was less involved with daily operations due to age and other interests, yet, used his profile and influence in other ways. Philanthropy, sports, UT and politics appeared to dominate his and Natalie’s days. As an example The Warrior Queen highly benefited from Big Jim’s and the local Club’s support. With the huge, newly constructed Thompson-Boling Arena opening in 1987, the largest on campus facility in America at that time, the basketball floor was later named The Summitt as the Lady Vols program became the gold standard in women’s collegiate athletics. Pilot sponsored all UT sports programs and athletic events since Big Jim was carrying a big stick at the university along with a handful of other wealthy businessmen, boosters and donors.

However, the following made a lot in my circle wonder about the reality at the time. Pilot sponsored an annual Chamber or Rotary (cannot remember – does it matter?) event at the Hyatt that I attended with this guy as keynote speaker…

The same guy who said this…

Fidel’s comrade. That along with many other horrible things he said, did and promoted.

Then there was this guy who spoke at UT as recently as 2013. The same UT where the Haslam family donated millions to build the Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy. Better known as the Future Uniparty Student Development Center.

H/T to Wolf for the photo reminder today…

Before Brokaw and after Turner, there was Tim Russert as keynote speaker at the Hyatt sponsored by Pilot among others. It finally dawned on me years later that a key groomer and intermediary into it all was Mr DIY himself, GOP RINO Ross Bagwell…

Ross with daughter, Dee Haslam

Ross went to NY to finish school. Afterwards he went to work at NBC – media home to all things globalist. He was introduced and worked with the Uniparty globalists and brought methodology back home to Knoxville and to inject into state GOP politics. He connected the Haslam family tighter to the politics and media in DC and NY, including marrying Dee into the family.

Think about the subtle ramifications. Pilot sponsored an evil globalist business/media mogul commie along with two globalist commie media hacks to speak at globalist events to spread more commie propaganda to whoever would listen in a nationally perceived red flyover hillbilly state.

Maybe Tennessee was not the red flyover hillbilly state the MSM portrayed it to be. Maybe it was being operated undercover, sort of like Arkansas. More on that in later Goober Gump stories.

But I am getting ahead of this story, so back to the Pilot history at the turn of the century. Big Jim really had taught his boys the business. Jimmy had continued to assert himself and company control with his no holds barred management style and borderline ethics, which was not Bill’s style at all. Bill was more thoughtful, analytical and reflective in his approach; with a nature more like his deceased mother. After twenty years in the family business he had learned a great deal, handled his role well, and become wealthy. However, his heart was elsewhere and he no longer seemed to want to play the game with Jimmy anymore. He left and appeared to have employment flings with Saks and Harold’s. In reality he needed something to do while GOP RINO Victor Ashe was finishing his second term as Knoxville’s Mayor. He needed time to prepare out of the spotlights of Knoxville and Pilot. What better way to do it than by spending time in NY with Saks and other globalists while learning the ropes for a few years. Realizing another big opportunity, Big Jim pulled in the GOP support and the campaign began. Bill’s sister, Ann, even campaigned for him door to door. Bill won with 53% of the vote. Politics became another family enterprise.

The key events of Pilot from the 90’s forward were about going nationwide and becoming even more dominant. It led again to partnering up with old friends, Marathon, in 2001. This time they rolled in 223 travel centers into one investment entity that included the centers I had underwritten and our bank participation financing handled a decade before. Marathon had merged with Ashland and grown their supply to handle much more volume. They saw the joint ownership opportunity as an investment for future marketshare and capital if their interest was ever sold.

In 2010 they merged the company with anther industry stalwart, Flying J. The combined company was then over 550 travel centers with Pilot having management and Board control. They had grown to top ten nationally in privately held businesses for market value. In 2017, the ownership sold a 38% ownership stake to Berkshire Hathaway. With the deal Buffett and Berkshire also gained the rights to buy up to an 80% stake in Pilot Flying J in 2023. The company now has over 750 travel centers in the U. S. and Canada while doing over $20 Billion in revenues annually.

After decades of honest intent as well as intentional deception, acceptance into the inner circle of The Club will be complete next year. But it did not happen the way it was planned or anticipated.

NFL & White Collar Crime

As stated in Part One, Jimmy and Dee are controlling owners of the Cleveland Browns. They paid $1 B+ for it from Randy Lerner in 2012. Jimmy had set his sights on NFL team ownership well before then. He was able to purchase an ownership interest in the gold standard org of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008. With that experience he was accepted into the NFL owners’ inner circle, which made the purchase of the Browns easier to get done. It is interesting that the Times of Israel reported the purchase ended 51 consecutive years of Jewish ownership of the team. Maybe the purchase of the Browns was coincidental. However, the stadium for the team is located just 15 minutes away from the headquarters of Pilot Flying J’s primary competitor, TravelCenters of America.

Soon the highs of realizing that long held dream and love for a sport would be nuked into the low point in their company’s history. Unannounced, FIB walked into the Knoxville headquarters of Pilot Flying J in 2013. They left with everything they needed to make a strong federal criminal case against key personnel in the company with Jimmy himself under the microscope. Seems key senior management, including the Pilot President, Mark Hazelwood, had knowingly participated in a scheme to steal contracted rebates from many commercial trucking company accounts over a period of 5 years. Millions of dollars were involved and the participants received part of the ill-gotten gain as personal income with Pilot Flying J pocketing the rest. There were blatant racist statements and defamation of some of their less sophisticated commercial customers on tapes made by a whistleblower turned informant.

Jimmy pled ignorance. Audio tapes recorded by the whistleblower seemed to indicate otherwise. The statements made about less sophisticated commercial customers by several managers started a firestorm that was uncontrollable.

So he followed the raid with these remarks at a hastily called press conference:

Awkward. Contrast what he just said with this…

As a result in a wise move, Pilot Flying J and Jimmy decided they better cut deals. As part of the deals, they agreed to continue to pay for legal representation of the employees that contested federal charges until their cases were adjudicated. The media questioned why would they do that if the employees violated company policies and the law? Jimmy claimed it was company “tradition” to do so. Or, in my opinion it was code for, “It’s payment for them to keep quiet and protect my tail.” You decide.

Word is that the mess cost them $190+ million in federal fines and customer restitution along with taking it on the chin with many commercial corporate clients. The tapes were damning. Many lower level staff members and managers pled guilty for plea deals after coming clean with details. A handful of senior mangers, including Hazelwood fought on. Interestingly, he lost in his first trial. That judge is African American with Hazelwood being white. He filed an appeal for a new trial as he felt he was not treated fairly at all through the proceedings. He made charges of reverse discrimination against the judge during his first trial. His request for a new trial was approved by a federal appellate court this year, along with that of two other employees. In essence, Jimmy’s crony that knows the extent of his boss’ involvement is working a path toward freedom or a reduced sentence/fine that is being provided through the judicial system. That is happening combined with the statute of limitations running out for charging Jimmy in April 2018. Shocked face…

That statute of limitations expired about 6 months after the 38.6% interest in the company was purchased by Berkshire. It would appear that DODGE gave the all clear to Buffett to complete the deal as Jimmy remained the Chairman and the family retained 50.1% majority interest with the provision that Berkshire would purchase an additional 41.4% in 2023, leaving them with the remaining 20% interest.

The fines Pilot willingly agreed to pay the feds were related to a negotiated financial settlement to avoid trial expenses and potentially even higher losses. There was no Weissmann, Enron style attacks. I guess Andrew was too busy with other legal schemes at the time. More likely he knew they were Club members. We would never be granted access to see it all, but I can almost guarantee there was a personal check or funds transfer written by Jimmy for a settlement of criminal claims against him through the civil system. No admission of guilt required, no public release of documents, and on with life.

With this behind him, Jimmy has turned his attention to pro sports and trying to make the Browns better while buying franchises in other pro sports. In a typical, tone deaf move he recently made a deal with the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson as their QB. The same Watson who has been accused of sexual advances and harassment by over 25 masseuses and been suspended by the NFL for one or more seasons, who recently wrote checks to settle over 20 of the lawsuits. Right up Jimmy’s alley. All while they disrespected their existing injured starting QB, Baker Mayfield, who they later unceremoniously traded to Carolina. Use ’em, abuse ’em and toss ’em away when they become less useful.

A sign in the lobby of Pilot Flying J headquarters says, “We do the right thing — Integrity comes first.” Big Jim had it installed there decades ago. See the above referenced scandals.

Big Jim was quoted in an ESPN story not long after the FIB raid. “You ask what I’m proudest of Jimmy for?” Big Jim says. “It’s how he’s handled all this since April 15. It’s just like I would’ve hoped he’d handle it. He realizes he’s in charge and he’s going to stay in charge.

“We’ve learned a lot, and nothing like this will ever happen again.”

Revealing, huh? Apple did not fall far from the tree it appears. Why did it happen at all, Big Jim? I mean, it was five years of it. That’s not a mistake. It appears you are covering for your son and company getting caught, not for having done it. Are we supposed to believe nothing like that had ever occurred under your watch?

Words mean one thing, actions frequently mean another. The Club uses money and media influence to cover the intent and purpose as needed.

Some things never change. But when you are in the inner circle of The Club, what does it matter? Pay some money after mistakes and scandals and they simply go away. There will be even more money to make up for it when you get to play in the bigger leagues. Like what was announced last week.

and…

https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1136485_gm-pilot-plan-350-kw-coast-to-coast-charging-network

Build back better with green, anybody?

In recap, we have Berkshire controlling Burlington Northern railroad which transports oil, fuel, fertilizer, etc.; while Dem politicians are shutting down oil and gas pipelines; while the RINO’s stand down with their thumbs up their arses; while Berkshire buys 80% control of Pilot to have the largest fuel distribution network for commercial trucking in North America; who has entered into a national EV charging network arrangement that caters to GM’s EV vehicle expansion; while buddy Gates and others globalists and nations who hate us are buying up farmland and into food production of all types. And so it goes on and on.

Depop. Totalitarian control of the masses.

Need more convincing?

Senate swing voter, Coal Country Joe is all in…

Yeah, the RINO’s are as thick as thieves with the Dems. They plan to do the green idiocy anyway. Follow the money. They don’t even need congressional approval and they certainly don’t care about the desires of We the People. Be informed. The moderate (RINO) wing of the GOP has been controlled opposition for over 70 years. The only person on the planet who has been proven able to stop it and reverse course for We the People is named Donald J. Trump, along with the help of his supporters and patriots.

As far as where We the People stand, we either acknowledge we are in a civil war and fight it, or just go quietly into the good night. Fighting well does not necessarily include violence, but it does include the righteous delivery of justice and truth as each situation may demand.

We will conclude the HOH series with some what ifs and other stuff with the next part. It’s time to have some fun, get some R&R, jump into some rabbit holes, make some observations and ask some thought provoking questions. Until next time…

Could not resist…
